Realistically, I should probably wait a few more patches so I have more to work with (at least until the current patch story hook resolves), but I would love to write an analysis of Wuk Lamat as a leader looking at her character growth, philosophy, and tactics both before and after she takes the throne. I think it would be so interesting. She has such an interesting arc and so much growth as a character! and yet I still see people talk about her as though she had zero growth and is still the same person she was at the start, and I find it a bit baffling tbh.

#i could start gathering notes now though #dawntrail's story wasn't perfect! but i loved her character arc #it's sad to see it undersold when there's so much going on there #i think kind and optimistic characters so often get written off and their complexities ignored #(like minfilia)#but it's especially sad when the writers have actually gone to the trouble to give a character a complete arc #and it's brushed aside and ignored #i WISH minfilia had gotten what wuk lamat has!#anyway yeah i think i'll add this to the meta list and start working on it #and add to it as we go #ffxiv stuff #dawntrail spoilers #fandom critical #anne's ishgardian salt rock

The idea of the Batkids doing normal people things while suited up is hilarious to me, you know, like Red Robin and Spoiler making the 9 o'clock news while racing through a grocery store because they totally forgot to get the things Alfred asked them to bring for the family dinner. Or Damian and Dick swinging into the Bludhaven Zoo mid-patrol because Dami really wanted to see the new baby tiger. Red Hood buying lemonade from a kid's stand and then standing there awkwardly messing with his helmet, trying not to hurt the kid's feelings. Black Bat, on a particularly tiring day randomly appeared in the nosebleeds of the ballet hall and started sniping phones out of people's hands. Or Signal and a deeply irritated Batman changing out a blown-out tyre in some back alley, earning amused looks.

It adds a lot of flavour!#MDZS is a little hit or miss with this. I think the fans do a lot of the work with making Mo Xuanyu a bigger character.#Yi City has this in spades. Even though we don't individually get character backstories #We get many painful reminders about how these 'corpses' were people.#We also get a few lines about how WWX used whatever corpses he could get his hands on (including grandparents - Woof!)#MDZS often (but not always) likes to remind us that every sacrifice and every ghost was a person.#It is so close to nailing the landing regarding the deconstruction of the necromancer character.#Anyhow.
