Arranged marriage viking AU edition but make it Xisang I know you want it 👀
b i t c h. You know me too well. I basically kinda ignored the prompt and went for my own thing (prompt: Person A is traded to the Vikings for safe passage and is subsequently married to the jarl’s oldest child, Person B). They’re not viking (sadly I checked, and that would have been unlikely)
Also on AO3
"I think he said brother," Lan Xichen pointed out, trying to help.
This, of course, earned him a nasty glare from Su Minshan, who never liked to have his competence challenged, and from Lan Qiren, for aggravating their translator when they were in such a dire situation already.
"Those languages don't always differentiate well between genders," Su Minshan explained. "But of course he meant sister, since he's asking for a husband to marry into his tribe."
Unconvinced by that explanation, Lan Xichen glanced toward the king of the Nie people, who seemed mildly annoyed at their reaction to his offer… Or perhaps amused? He was a hard man to read. King Nie Mingjue was an impressive man, all the more so because he had ambushed their little group quite easily with his horse-riding warriors. He could have easily killed them all in their sleep, and would have been in his right to do so since they had entered his territory in secret. He had looked ready to do just that, in fact, but Su Minshan had hurriedly explained why they were there, and managed to placate the terrifying barbarian.
"It wouldn't be a bad deal," one cousin of Lan Xichen's father noted. "Right of passage in the future, and if we give them someone clever, he might give us inside information in the future. I pity whoever will marry one of those shrews and give her half breeds, but even those will have their use in the future."
A few eyed darted toward Su Minshan, who pretended not to notice. Although he claimed to be of full Han origin and professed great disdain for foreigners, he had still spent most of his childhood among barbarians, and spoke a few languages of the area. He apparently made a decent living as a guide, but it was said he was saving money to move away from the border and open a shop in the capital, where his past might not follow him.
While the older men argued for and against the deal offered to them, Lan Xichen looked again toward the barbarians. This time, more than the intimidating Nie Mingjue, he observed the young man at his side, a frail boy hardly younger than himself. He did not look like a warrior, but a few times already he had whispered things to Nie Mingjue’s ear that the king seemed to have taken in consideration. In fact, Lan Xichen was almost certain that he'd come up with that idea of demanding a groom for the king's sibling (the king's brother, Lan Xichen knew he'd heard right).
Right then, the young man was listening intently as the merchants discussed the offer, his smile growing more and more entertained, almost as if…
"I think we shouldn't speak so loud," Lan Xichen remarked. "That one, next to the king… I think he understands us."
The older men glanced at the boy, and immediately scolded Lan Xichen for bothering them with nonsense. Certainly the young man didn't look nearly as impressive as the other warriors, so it was easy to think him unimportant.
Still, Lan Xichen shivered when the young man suddenly winked at him before turning to king Mingjue who leaned toward him, and nodded to whatever the boy told him. Then, confirming all of Lan Xichen's suspicions, the king spoke again.
He spoke, and pointed right at Lan Xichen.
"We want that one," Nie Mingjue announced, which Su Minshan promptly translated.
This sparked a new debate within their group, more heated than before. Lan Qiren had been in favour of accepting the demand, but only until his own nephew was requested as a sacrifice. At the same time, most of the others were suddenly more open to the idea now that they didn't have to fear losing their freedom to go live with some backward barbarians.
As for Lan Xichen himself, he wasn't sure how to feel about this. What he knew, though, was that their family would make a fortune if they could cut through the Nie kingdom to trade with the west. He knew also that he had no previous engagement to tie him down at home, and that he had a younger brother who could continue their line and take over their father's business. No matter what he may or may not have wanted, Lan Xichen knew there was only one possible answer when his uncle asked him his thoughts.
"I'll do it," he said, keeping his voice as devoid of emotion as possible. "If it can help our family, I don't mind taking on this hardship."
As he said this, Lan Xichen couldn’t help looking at the boy next to the barbarian king, who smiled without waiting for Su Minshan’s translation.
Lan Xichen shivered again.
Nobody noticed though. His uncle, helped by Su Minshan, had started negotiating the finer details of this possible agreement, demanding guarantees. Lan Xichen felt rather touched when his uncle insisted that there would have to be proof of his good treatment. The barbarian king, in turn, had demands of his own to make, notably to demand taxes and determine how many people he would allow to traverse his territory. The talks went on and one for hours, from sunrise to mid-afternoon, until at last both parties were satisfied with what they would be getting.
Lan Xichen was hugged by his uncle, and by some of his other relatives as well. What few belongings he’d brought on this journey were handed to him, with the promise they would try to send him his books and other things once they made it home. Then, with very little ceremony, Lan Xichen was offered a horse by the Nie and rode off with them. It all happened so fast that he didn’t even have time to feel scared or sad, and his horse turned out to be so unruly that he didn’t have time for self-pity, lest he be thrown off in front of those barbarians.
He only had a shaky grasp of their language, having learned from the employee of another trader, but he was half sure he’d heard them bet he would fall. He wouldn’t give them that pleasure.
The sun was starting to set when at last their group reached what appeared to be a city of tents. If he hadn’t been so exhausted, Lan Xichen might have allowed himself a moment to be impressed. He had never imagined the Nie people could be so numerous. Although they were known to be fierce warriors, and even raiders on occasions, they were rarely seen in groups of more than twenty of thirty, so it was speculated there had to be few of them. This city, though, looked nearly as big as the one where Lan Xichen’s family lived. He would have to let his father know when he’d write home.
After riding so intensely, and for this long, Lan Xichen’s back was starting to hurt and when he hopped down from his horse, he nearly fell, his legs too tired to carry him anymore. He was only saved from that humiliation because someone caught him in time.
That might have been worse than just falling, because the person who caught him and helped him stand was that boy he had noticed at Nie Mingjue’s side. The young man, who turned out to be even shorter than he had appeared to be while on a horse, was also much slimmer than expected, most of his bulk coming from his clothing rather than from his body. And yet, even like that, he was holding Lan Xichen upright with great ease, as if he weighed nothing at all.
“You no fall,” the young man said with a smirk. “If hurt, how wedding?”
Hearing this, Lan Xichen was startled enough that he pushed himself away from the young man, stumbling against his horse and clinging to its saddle to keep standing. Around them, this display got them a few curious looks, as well as some laughter, but Lan Xichen ignored it all. Although his vocabulary seemed lacking and his accent was atrocious, there was no doubt possible: that young man spoke his language.
Seeing him so shocked, the young man’s grin widened. He opened his mouth to say something, but was interrupted by the approach of king Nie Mingjue who threw Lan Xichen an unimpressed look. If the young man was shorter than expected, then Nie Mingjue turned out to be a giant of a man, towering over Lan Xichen who wasn’t used to ever seeing people taller than him. He did not much care for the sensation of being small. He also did not like the disdain in Nie Mingjue’s voice as he started saying something which the small young man clumsily translated.
“King says, be good. No take thing. No hurt horse. Need thing, ask. No leave. Important, you…”
The young man stopped translating for a moment as he and all the others burst out laughing over something their king had said. With appalling familiarity, the boy slapped king Nie Mingjue’s arm, which only made the terrifying man roll his eyes.
“King say, be good husband for sister,” the young man explained. “Funny. King has not sister. King has brother,” he announced, proudly patting his own chest. “Good husband. Tonight, you rest, you prepare. Tomorrow, wedding. Good?”
Stunned by that revelation, Lan Xichen’s eyes jumped a few times between king Nie Mingjue and the young man who claimed to be related to him. He failed to see any resemblance between the two, save for what a similar hairdo and style of clothing might cause. The low light didn’t help of course, but Lan Xichen still suspected that a prank was being played on him.
“What’s your name?” he asked.
“Huaisang. You Ziqen?” Huaisang inquired.
At least, Lan Xichen thought his name was Huaisang. Considering how his own name was being butchered, it was difficult to be sure.
“Xichen,” he confirmed. “Lan Xichen. Is… Is the wedding really going to be tomorrow?”
Huaisang enthusiastically nodded, while Lan Xichen could only feel apprehensive. Aside from the fact that he didn’t know what to expect, hurrying like this meant that they couldn’t check if the day would be auspicious for it or not. Not that it would have helped to have time, he realised with growing anxiety. There was no way this future husband of his would know his own eight character, so it would be impossible to do things properly. But anyway, an union like this, wasn’t it inauspicious by nature?
“Tomorrow wedding, Ziqen,” Huaisang repeated. “Today, you prepare. Happy day! Huaisang, good husband. Many horse. Good to Ziqen.”
Clearly delighted at the prospect of their marriage, Huaisang turned to his king and started cheerfully chatting with him, while Nie Mingjue nodded here and there, sometimes barking orders at some of the men around them who diligently ran off to obey. Maybe they really were brothers, even if they didn’t look anything alike. At the very least, it was clear that Huaisang had to be someone close to king Nie Mingjue, since he treated the giant with such playful familiarity.
It made Lan Xichen suddenly miss his own brother, whom he would most likely never see again. His father, though the man was rarely around. It made him miss his uncle too, though that sentiment was quickly drowned out by resentment toward Lan Qiren for having sold him off so easily, just for a chance at profit. Of course Lan Xichen himself had agreed to it, and they’d had little choice when surrounded by heavily armed barbarians, but it still would have been nice if his uncle had at least pretended to be a little more concerned over his safety.
Of course, it was too late for regrets now.
At least his soon-to-be husband wasn’t too ugly, for a barbarian.

Big Bwother
Otherwise know as once again, Delphine writing about dark sides. Look, I love them okay?? This is pre-accepting anxiety, so some morally grey sides!
Words; 2,089
Warnings: Remus being himself, age regression, arguing, unsympathetic-leaning Patton, mentions of wounds. If I missed anything, let me know!
____
Virgil was up far too late again. At this point, he had given up trying to be quiet during the night. Patton was the closest to him, and that was down the hall enough that he wouldn’t bother Morality. Plus, the fatherly side was a heavy sleeper.
Virgil slunk downstairs to try and find his teabags. Usually, he wouldn’t be caught dead drinking tea. If anyone saw him with his cup, he claimed it was coffee. There was a solo light on, over the sink. That didn’t set off any alarms, it was always on in case someone needed a drink at night. He didn’t notice that someone else was using their dark vision for a late night trip though, until it was too late.
“Anxiety?” A small voice asked from the fridge area. Virgil shot up, whipping around to see who it was. There was Roman, but he looked like he was no older than 10 or so.
“Yea? What’s up” Virgil finally answered, crouching down to more the level of the creative side. He was shocked when Remus appeared from behind his brother, looking just as young. The two of them seemed to communicate something silently before both approached him carefully.
“Vee Vee? hug?” Remus asked, making grabby hands. Virgil melted, opening his arms to the little guy. Remus pulled Roman into them and knocked the adult over.
“You guys ok? I thought you’d at least be in bed by now” Virgil asked, sweeping the duke’s bangs out of his face again. Roman shrank more from him, and huddled next to Remus.
“I-i needed something to drink and then something happened. Re appeared next to me and he-he was like me too! I don’t wanna be separated from ReRe again! Don’t make us split again!” The kid burst into tears. Virgil rushed to soothe them both as Remus joined in. He started to stand, shifting them each into an arm.
“I’m gonna take you guys up to Pat. He’ll know how to help you”
“No! He’ll make me leave again” Remus sniffled, reaching over the gap towards his brother.
“Please don’t. I need Re” Roman added, his bottom lip quivering. Virgil sighed, carrying them to the couch. He gave them a blanket, and returned to the kitchen to start some tea, and rummaged in the fridge for some milk. He warmed it up in the microwave and poured two big glasses.
“Ok you guys. We can watch disney until you fall asleep. I’ve got some milk here for you” He offered, carrying the glasses into the other room. The boys were already tangled together in the blanket. They twisted to peer over at him, before chorusing their choice.
“Maleficent” “Maleficent”
“Alright mini terrors. Be quiet though, I don’t want Logan and Patton down here criticizing my choices” he fiddled with the remote for a few minutes before starting the movie. He retreated to get his tea before selecting a chair where he could both watch the movie and the other sides. It was also just out of sight of the stairs.
“RoRo, moveeee” Remus whined half an hour later, trying to shift the larger twin off of him. Virgil jolted from his doze, dropping his cup and vaulting over the couch. He pushed Roman off Remus. Roman was steadily growing back to his normal height, and age apparently. Remus started to cry silently as he realized what that would mean for him.
“Shshshs It’s okay Re. I’m sure he’ll want to be with you still” Virgil bounced the kid, trying to contain his own anxiety over the substance. It wasn’t working, and Roman was waking up again.
“He never does. Every time he forgets and I have no choice but to go back” Remus stated sadly, his adult intelligence briefly returning.
“Anxiety? What are you doing here” Roman muttered, shifting upright. Virgil shifted himself away from the other side, hiding Remus from immediate view.
“Nothing. I was just getting some coffee and you were passed out on the couch” Virgil said grumpily, turning towards the kitchen again. It was then he realized he had fucked up. In his haste to get to the twins, his cup had shattered on the floor.
“Uh-huh. I’m getting padre, and telling him that you’re up late and drinking coffee” Roman rose from the couch, an eyebrow already raised in judgement. He finally noticed Remus at that point, silently staring.
“Ro” He said simply, moving closer to Virgil.
“I should’ve known! You were trying to sneak my brother up here to cause chaos weren’t you” Roman hissed, stomping towards the pair. Virgil shifted again to place Remus behind him, and out of the reach of Roman’s katana if he chose to summon it.
“Leave him alone. It’s not his fault you dragged him into it” Virgil hissed, ready to run.
“What do you mean?” Roman’s voice shook, and his footsteps had paused.
“I came down here, and you both were here. You were the same age as him, and when I settled you down, because you refused to be separated, you suddenly regrew” Virgil turned around, on the verge of yelling. Roman looked completely shocked, and Remus had long since lost interest in watching his brother. He knew there was a good chance both of them would be run through and didn’t want to watch it happen.
“....Re? Is this true?”
“Mhm! Every night!” Remus piped up, almost shooting out of Virgil’s arms.
“and you let me?!”
“I don’t have a choice. It’s around the time we...and every time I’m forced to endure it with you. I don’t want to leave. I miss you RoRo! Like I miss Vee Vee!” Remus started wailing, clinging to Virgil again like a koala.
“Shshshhs. It’s ok little rotter. It’s ok. We can go infect some of his villages into zombies to calm down” Virgil murmured, swaying back and forth.
“I wanna play with him! I’m tired of trying to pretend like I don’t miss him like an amputated limb!” Virgil smiled slightly as he heard Remus’s brand of thought pop through. He was starting to return to himself hopefully. Unfortunately, the rest of the house had woken up.
“What is that racket” Logan snarled, appearing on the stairs first. Virgil panicked again, and tried to sink out. Roman had crept closer without him noticing, and grabbed hold of his arm to keep him there.
“Anxiety trying to cause chaos” Roman snarled, forgetting all about what Remus had told him.
“Run Re” Virgil tossed him into the air, hoping he would listen. Pat appeared though, catching the kid before he could hit ground and run. Or make more of a racket. It was a 50/50 chance at that moment.
“Thissss isssss wonderful” Dee appeared from the basement stairs, raising an eyebrow at the scene. He obviously was very tired, and did not want to deal with this shit.
“Everyone. Sit” Logan pointed to the couch, his eyes flashing dangerously. Remus wiggled out of Patton’s arms to sit next to Roman, who pushed him away. Dee ended up picking up the kid, and hugging him with most of his arms.
“Who ended this mess?” Dee asked.
“Look. I came downstairs to find both Roman and Remus as kids. I gave them milk, and put on a movie-” Virgil waved at the TV which was still playing said movie “-then let them watch it. I was dozing and heard Remus telling Roman to get off. I looked over and Roman was growing, so I pushed him off. Then I tried to leave” He explained as everyone turned to him.
“Any idea on how they got that way?”
“It happens every night. I’m pulled up here when RoRo reverts, and I revert too. By morning he’s forgotten what happened and we’re both adults again. Virgil just happened to come across us tonight” Remus piped up, sucking on one thumb.
“He’s obviously lying I wo-” Roman started to protest.
“He’s not” Dee interrupted, his snake eye flashing.
“I want my brother back. Both of them” Remus said in a small voice, huddling closer to Dee. Virgil melted, guilt filling his gut. He opened his arms and Re cannon balled into him, wiggling into his hoodie. He had missed this. He adored his little brothers, and having Remus curled up next to him filled a void he didn't realize he had. It was filled the rest of the way when Dee scooted closer and buried his face in Virgil’s leg.
“We have to find some way to fix this. We can’t have creativity reverting every night and talking with..” Patton was saying to the others. Virgil’s stomach dropped again, knowing exactly what the fatherly side meant.
“Problem seems to be with Princey. Ask him how to fix it” he drawled, falling back into his indifferent attitude.
“Now, I wouldn’t say-” Logan began to say, having returned to the calm mediator.
“MY FAULT? This is obviously your’s if anyone’s Anx-i-ety” Roman roared, drawing out Virgil’s name with hatred.
“Ok. Fine. Glad to know you still don’t care about your brother. Yea. It’s not like I had to break his heart day. after day. after you left him with us!” Virgil snarled back, cupping an arm around the side.
“Anxiety, that is uncalled for!” Patton scolded, face screwed up.
“Yea, like you’re any better Morality. You should’ve known not to separate them! You’re the reason they’re like this in the first place! If you weren’t so strict, they’d still be one side! AND I WOULDN’T HAVE TO WATCH AS MY BABY BROTHER PINES FOR HIM!” Virgil screamed at the top of his lungs, jabbing a finger at the Prince. All the other sides cringed away from him.
“Anx-”
“Look, I’m glad I met Thomas. It was wonderful. But I’d rather leave now, as it seems I’m next on the hit list. 2 out of the 3 of you hate the mere idea of me. Logan, you’re a cool guy. Take care of Thomas, cause it seems like I’ve made it sooooo hard. C’mon little blep, rotter” He nudged Dee up, turning to walk back down the stairs. He obviously was heartbroken, and had no fight left in him. He was cradling the kid side and had his other arm around Dee. The trio were walking down the stairs when a small blur hit Virgil’s legs.
“ReRe! Don’t leave me!” It was Roman. He had reverted again in his stress, to a five year old this time. He seemed to have no memory of what had just occurred. He just wanted to stay with his brother.
“Ro!” the other half of creativity de-aged too, reaching for the first. Virgil crouched down, and Roman clambered into his hoodie too.
“Dee?” He turned his attention from the reunion to the scaly side.
“You’re wrong. We can’t separate them again. Neither of our hearts can take it” He shrugged, and turned to the other pair. One had shock painted across his face, and the other...looked sad. Logan knew exactly what they were silently asking and he had no answer.
“Do you want to keep the twins? Or will they come with us” Virgil asked, ignoring the snot and tears down the front of his shirt.
“Remus will hurt Thom-” Patton started.
“Can you all stay up here? You’re right, it will tear our hearts apart to separate them, but we can’t lose all of you too. So, please?” Logan interrupted, tears gathering in his eyes. Virgil started to nod, before turning to Dee. Dee nodded too, tears fully emerging from his human eye, and charged into Logan’s arms. The pair sunk to their knees and began sobbing together.
“Hey boys, can you shift our rooms?” Virgil murmured to the sleepy pair. They nodded and the mindspace snapped into a more united setup. That seemed to fully drain them, and they curled into each other in deep sleep. Virgil couldn’t help but beam as he wrapped both arms around them. After a moment, he zipped up his jacket more so they’d be supported as he talked to the last side.
“So. You’re staying shadowling?” Pat looked worn out, like he had aged several years in the last few minutes.
“I am. Now, I want to sleep, so see you in a few hours” Virgil smiled tiredly, moving over to the couch and laying down. He curled around the twins, pulling the blanket over himself. He was asleep before Logan and Dee had moved. Patton had disappeared almost immediately.

Lullaby For a Stormy Night
Word Count: 1106
TW: spoilers for the new video, swearing, remus, intrusive thoughts, threats, deceit is mentioned like once, I think that’s it. lmk if I missed something!
Notes: Honestly I have no clue what this is. Remus is in the first half and then its all comfort and soft. I hope you enjoy!
Pairings: prinxiety and logicality. Yeah I know, it’s a shock to me too.
Summary: “So, you’ve gone native” Virgil just wanted to join his famILY for a movie night celebration to the end of another video. What he got instead? This jack ass.
“So, you’ve gone native”
Virgil jumped, spinning around suddenly being faced with Remus. The side was considerably more intimidating in the mind palace, having far more free reign than in the real world. The duke hovered over him, a good few inches taller than him as he stood. Virgil stood up straight, squaring his shoulders and staring down the side. Remus’s eyes gleamed and his smile became more wicked as he began to circle him like a vulture who just found his next meal. Virgil fought the urge to curl back into himself as a defense mechanism.
“deceit wasn’t wrong about just how delusional you truly have become”
And all of a sudden, images flashed through his vision so quick anyone else seeing them would be lost but each image permeated his skull. He was about to yell, or flinch, or… something to get rid of the images in his head but he merely fixed his stance, grounding him and shutting his eyes. He lifted his head again to continue his glare.
“I'm not the delusional one here Remus. Listen I don’t want to deal with your whole rant so either get it over with or leave me alone. I'm going to spend time with my family.”
The other sides eyes flashed, and Virgil turned away. He knows this game.
“come now anx! You know you don’t belong there. They're playing their sick game with you. You know they wouldn’t have you for any other reason. They don’t care, it’s so obvious I shouldn’t need to prove it to you. They don’t want us. They want their perfect little Thomas and they're using you doll.”
“piss off Duke dick. He's not going with you.”
Virgil's head whipped around, and he smiled seeing Roman standing at the end of the corridor, leaning against the wall, trying and succeeding in looking cool. He pushed off the wall and saunter towards them and as soon as he started walking, he felt Remus backing away. He turned back and saw the snarl placed on his face.
“you know brother, I never understood why we could never come to a compromise. We’re so similar you and I. maybe we should work on that.”
“you wouldn’t know compromise if it bit you in the ass Remus. You spend enough time around deceit, I thought you would have known that compromise with us doesn’t fucking work. Now unless you want me alerting Logan as well and having him deal with you, I would fuck off if I were you.”
There was a gurgled noise and then he was gone. Virgil finally walked over to Roman and wrapped him in a hug. He knew from experience that dealing with Remus drained him of any and all patience he had. Roman had been protecting him from the others consistently for the past two years, and he nearly always collapsed into a muddled pile of feelings after. He felt Roman’s head droop and his arm find its way around his waist. He had whispered something into his hair and Virge looked up with a curious glance. Roman just shook his head and started to head back to the commons with Virgil in tow.
When they finally exited the stupidly long hallway and got to the common area, Patton gave them a small look of pity and then rushed from his spot on his beanbag chair to sit in front of the tv. Logan glanced up from his book with a searching glance, checking the situation quickly through the small flick of his eyes. After he had ascertained that there was no more he could do, he placed his bookmark and set down his novel and straightened in his seat. He looked at Patton who was sorting through the stack of movies for the night, getting his attention and nodding towards the kitchen. Patton distractedly nodded back, and Logan got up and disappeared into the kitchen. Patton found what he was looking for and smiled, turning around to look at Roman who looked thoroughly drained and had Virgil sat sideways in his lap. He held up the disk to Roman as he excitedly chattered.
“Ro! Do you think we should start with Aladdin tonight? Me and Lo were actually talking about just doing a Disney night tonight? That sound good to you two?”
Virgil smiled, knowing distinctly that Patton and Logan always ‘talked about’ a Disney night when ever either he or Roman were upset, and nodded shortly. He felt better when Roman’s eye lit up and he voiced his agreement. He was glad that Disney always boosted his boyfriend’s mood, it made days like these easier to cope with. He also felt his mood brighten when Patton visibly perked up and Logan rounded the couch they were sitting on, floating about 5 trays of things around him. He set them on the ground then handed out the mugs that sat on one of the trays. He sat down in his chair and Patton quickly moved his beanbag over next to him and settled happily. Virgil smirked as noticed Logan’s hand finding Patton's hair, playing with it absentmindedly.
“I know todays been… a lot, but um, I made cookies and hot choco, and I hope it helps. I know its probably not a good subject right now, so we can talk later ok? Lets just, watch some fun movies ok!”
By the time they had finished their second movie Roman and Virgil had fallen asleep in each other’s arms. Patton smiled and summoned a blanket, covering the two up, knowing that separating them would end badly. He went to clean up and gave a small smile at the snap he barely registered and the suddenly spotless room. He looked at Logan who still had his mug in his hand. He had his other arm out by his side and Patton made his way into the spot. He giggled softly when Logan placed a small kiss on his forehead. He looked up and grinned at his boyfriend.
“hey teach, I think you missed!”
Logan let out a small chuckle, giving Patton a quick kiss before looking back at Roman and Virgil. He sighed and shook his head.
“I wish they didn’t get up to so much trouble so often.”
“well it seems like it’s just their lot to be so vitally connected to the things that hurt them. I'm just glad that we’re able to keep them mostly safe now.”
“what we can’t do, they do for each other. They’ll be okay in the long run.”
“mhmm. Come on Lo, its late, let’s get to bed.”
“yes dear.”

FamILY Curse Part 1
Word Count: 1,108
Note: This takes place Pre-Accepting Anxiety but all the current characters in Sanders Sides will be there sooner or later.
Warnings: Cursing, De-aging, Dragon Witch, Remus in general, jumping third perspectives
Relations: platonic!Dukexiety, Creativitwins
Summary: When dealing with anger one usually forgets the dangers in Imagination, triggering a series of curses Anxiety and Roman now have to break the first curse in order to free the others. The only problem is, the first side cursed was the one Roman didn't want any of them to meet yet: Remus.
Intrusive Child
Remus knew it was dangerous to be in the Imagination Realm when both brothers were angry at the other. Thoughts are dangerous since they can be fleeting, one second you're thinking of what to eat the next you're thinking of characters from a story that you think are going to die.
"Mister Royal Pain in the Ass can believe all he wants in his fairytales, just wait Roman, we are after all Creativity. We represent ALL of Thomas's dreams, he isn't so innoce— ah great you."
Standing in front of him looking amused stood one of Roman's creation, though the fanciful side assumes this one was Remus's creation it was actually Roman's: The Dragon Witch.
"Trouble in paradise, your grace?"
Remus glared at the purple skinned woman. "Go suck a dick, I don't need your sarcasm right now."
"Listen here bastard, I'm trying to help, you don't need to bite my head off when you're vexed at Prince Roman." The glaring contest between the two started to make the Imagination Realm darker, storm clouds forming a vortex around the two.
"What's!—What are you doing?" A flash of fear ran through Remus's spine as the Dragon Witch's eyes glowed a eerie orange.
"Well here's something to help you get back your precious family back. Let's see how far they will go when you are defenseless, child."
With that a beam of orange light shoot out of the Witch's hand hitting Remus just above his heart. A hot wave of pain coursed through Remus as the witch disappeared in a flash of white, storm clouds disappearing making it seem like if nothing had happened.
"Fuck! I need to get out of here." Glaring at the spot where the curse he now has, had happened he started to think of his options: Go to Anxiety, who at the moment was with the Light Sides or go to Deciet, who even though was in the Dark Side was farther away then the Imagination Realm.
Another wave of heat ran through him, Anxiety it is then.
I need to hurry, I need to hurry, I need to DAMN IT!
As Remus was stumbling towards his fellow dark side he could hear the now core four discussing Thomas's change in life.
"Really? I find that hard to believe." Anxiety spoke just as Remus was close to slumping to the ground. "You wonder why all these changes are throwing you off? It's the lessening of steady constants in your life."
Remus scuffed, he didn't need to know this shit. It was already pretty obvious to him, Anxiety was just pointing it to their oblivious host.
"Oh my goodness! That's right Thomas, and you are a Taurus!" What does a zodiac matter in this, puffball especially when I feel like I'm dying!
"When you're in these new settings and situations, you know something is off."
Remus finally crumbled to the ground, gasping desperately for air. "Anx—Anxiety."
"What is?" Logan spoke looking a bit peeved.
"Something."
"Anxiety, please!" Remus finally whimpered out, finally getting his attention. Anxiety froze, not yet seeing the Intrusive Creativity but knowing something was wrong.
"You can't even give an example?"
"Something is off." Anxiety breathe out, eyes scanning around him trying to find what was making him uneasy.
Thomas groaned in frustration, though now Roman was staring at Anxiety as he searched. "I hate it when you're just vague!"
Patton started to panic just as Anxiety found Remus, pale and feverish, clutching his midsection as he mouthed the words 'help me' over and over again.
"Ahh! Anxiety—" "Remus."
The other four froze, all for different reasons, as Anxiety turned around and popped out of the staircase and into the Mind Palace. Anxiety was shaking as he wrapped his arms around Remus.
"What in the world happened? Are you okay? Who hurt you? Why did you—" a shiver from Remus made him freeze. "It hurts, everything is so cold."
Anxiety once again froze as he contemplated on his next move, before taking of his jacket and draping it around the green Side. "I got you ReRe, don't worry."
Back in the Common Area, Thomas, Patton and Logan were confused. "Is that Anxiety's name? Remus?"
Roman was still frozen, staring at the space Anxiety once stood, why did he say his brother's name? What's going on?
"Thomas, may I suggest summoning Anxiety, er Remus. . .? Is that his actual name? We didn't get any clarification, just Remus." Logan glanced at Roman, then back at Anxiety's placement. Did the fanciful side know what was going on?
"Remus, how many fingers am I holding?" Anxiety spoke softly, holding said side closer to his chest. Remus significantly relaxed with the heat radiating from Anxiety and the extra warmth from the jacket. A mumble response was all that Anxiety got back before he stared at Remus in horror as he started to shrink.
"No, nope, nope this not happening!" Anxiety whispered to himself as Remus started to look younger, fitting into his wrapped arms easier.
A child that looked around three to four years old was now in the place Remus once was. A tired yawn came out of Remus as he snuggled closer to Anxiety, his heartbeat becoming a sweet lullaby to the now young side. You have GOT to be kidding me!
"No!" Roman screamed as the others' suggestion. "Don't summon Remus!"
The others stared at Roman in surprise. "Roman, I know you don't really have a liking to Anxi— Remus, dang I have to get used to that, but he is needed to help Thomas, kiddo."
"Anxiety is not Remus, you know what I'll just summon Surly Temple, we don't need to start fighting on this."
Anxiety looked down at the now sleeping child on his chest, wrapping his hoodie around the both of them as he fixed his hold to make sure that Remus didn't fall.
"Well this sure isn't how I wanted things to go today. You always did love causing chaos, but I know this isn't your form of chaos."
Anxiety felt the pull of being summoned but ignored it as Remus mumble soothing in his sleep. "What was that ReRe?"
"Mommy's warm."
Wait. What. Anxiety felt the pull of summon tug harder at him. Well, might as well start this train wreck.
Roman raised his arm in an upward motion. "Anxiety! Please I beg you don't bring Remus here!"
Anxiety popped back to his spot holding his jacket in his arms, eyes closed as he started to hum and bounce the bundle lightly in a soothing manner. "I can't leave to deal with an issue for one minute, can I?

The Other Side
Summary: Anti’s bored, and he does terrible things when he’s bored. Virgil just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. So the heroes have to save the day, without roughing Anxiety up too much in the process.
Encore: Right Here, Right Now
Virgil lived with Deceit and Remus, and he hated every part of it. The place they stayed at was in one of the worst parts of town, and they’d been living there for over a year now. It was never warm enough. Deceit’s first order of business when acquiring the place was to get his hands on a number of heaters and keep the room they slept in warm. But unless you were in that room, it was freezing.
So Virgil walked out of the apartment in normal clothing and hung around King’s Park, just crowd watching. He had his headphones in and his hood drawn up.
His favorite thing about the park was that if you wanted to be left alone, people left you alone. Except for the hiccup with Yan and the police one night, even Dark’s enforcers and network stayed out of the park. It helped Virgil feel like he had some type of privacy.
He stayed at the park for a while, and when he finally got hungry, went for a walk to figure out what he wanted, making sure to go in costume so that people would keep leaving him alone.
Something that turned into a bad idea when he heard the sound of a power box on top of the radio arching. Virgil looked back to see Anti scratching his claws against the electrical box, Natemare was standing next to him with a bag in his hands. Both of the chaotic villains were smiling at him.
Anti was the one who spoke, “Hey, kid, where’s yer old man?”
“I’m not a kid,” Virgil spat back, trying to get away from the edge of the roof. He was preparing to summon his spider legs to escape. Maybe he could get back to Dark’s area.
“Can’t fly can ye?” Anti took the bag from Natemare, and the other glitch demon turned into electricity and slipped back into the wires of the electrical box, a smile still on his face as he vanished.
“I can cling to walls, I don’t need to fly,” Anxiety trying to sound tough even though his heart was beating almost out of control.
“Good,” Anti smiled. “Yah know, Dark’s usually really tight-lipped about the stuff his boys collect fer ‘im, but he must have gotten wasted because he was carryin’ this . . .”
Anti pulled out what looked like an MP3 player but it looked like something that was probably cursed. “. . . Around like he was proud of it. An’ I figured ye should have it.”
“I’m not touching that,” Virgil snapped. “It looks like it’ll possess me. Why would you even give me that thing?”
Anti shrugged and the thing went up into a string of code, “Cause it’ll make him furious, an’ he won’t let me get close enough to his desk ta piss in his coffee.”
“Then why give it to me, he’ll just think I took it,” Virgil argued.
Walking over, Anti tried to set his hand on Anxiety’s shoulder. Virgil ducked away immediately.
“Why so nervous, guess ye live up to yer name, huh Anx?” Anti laughed. “Well, I’ll see if I can pawn it off to some third rate drug dealer, that’ll flip the town on its head.”
“Yeah, just keep that thing away from me,” Anxiety sprouted out his spider legs and just left, trying to get as far from Anti as possible, and was surprised when no one was following him. So, eager to calm down he grabbed a quiet spot of roof with enough of a protection for him to sit on and lean against, he put in his earphones again.
He was listening to some MCR at first and it was helping, but slowly in the background static began to build and Virgil was getting sleepy.
It wasn’t until he collapsed onto the ground in a head that Virgil realized something was wrong with him. The world seemed fuzzy and he could barely move his eyes.
His panic got worse when Anti appeared in front of him, smiling. Natemare was next to him, holding the MP3 player, hooked up to his own ears.
“Yah know, I think yah got a good head on your shoulders, taking somethin’ from me would’a been a dumb idea,” Anti smiled as he took the player from Natemare but was careful to still keep the headphones in Natemare’s ears. “Shouldn’ta let us walk off with it, though.”
Virgil could feel he was crying as the static in his head began to build, it was getting harder to think, harder to breathe. Anxiety couldn’t even blink anymore, his eyes were just staring at Anti.
“So let’s have some fun, it’s been ages since I’ve had a puppet,” Anti grinned and pressed something on the MP3 and Virgil’s body stood up of its own volition. “You’ll love it, N. It’s the best.”
Virgil was mentally shaking because his body refused to as Anti tossed Natemare the MP3, the other glitch demon was smiling.
For the heroes it was a normal day of patrols, and Logan coming in and out of their routine. All Logan would say was that he was conducting research as a favor to the Host and if he needed assistance, Logan or the Host would ask.
Logan was with Eric and Randall, keeping his watch on them more than anything else.
“At this rate, you’ll make it full time,” Logan smiled, talking to Eric.
“R-Really?” Eric smiled hopefully.
“Your control has greatly improved,” Logan praised.
“Hey, what’d I tell yah,” Randall grinned.
Eric smiled warmly, and then looked back down the street before he paled, pointing, “Uh, guys?”
Logan and Randall looked down the street, but it looked completely normal.
“What do you see?” Logan braced to grab his TASER.
“My dad,” Eric looked like he was about to vomit or curl up into a ball in sheer terror.
“Eric, he’s dead,” Randall reminded.
Eric took a fearful step back and Logan finally saw something, but it wasn’t Derek. Suddenly Logan was alone on a stage with bright lights shining down at him. Everything felt wrong, like he’d been forced to down five cups of coffee, each with about three shots of espresso, one right after the other. He could see a couple wrinkles and old stains on his favorite button-down shirt and tie.
“Thomas Sanders,” a disembodied voice in the darkness called out before Logan was hit with a string of trivia. Some he could answer, others he couldn’t. Every wrong answer or even slightly incorrect one was met by a harsh sounding buzzer. It barely took three questions before Logan realized he’d been caught in Anxiety’s fear powers, how he’d been caught so flatfooted was beyond him.
The whole ordeal was a little too frustrating and taxing on Logan, and the situation seemed to be already spiraling out of control.
“You’re not real,” Logan tried to fight the illusion, but it felt like he was hitting a brick wall with nothing but his bare fists. As if he knew it was fake, could see a way out, but he couldn’t free himself by just denying it.
Logan kept repeating it, trying to find some crack in Anxiety’s fear illusion. Then, a hand rested on his shoulder. “Lo.”
Logan turned around to see Patton, who looked like he was about to crumple into a terrified heap himself. “Sorry.”
“For?” Logan began before he was knocked out by something behind him. The logical side falling to the ground in a heap.
He woke up an indeterminate amount of time to the sounds of someone arguing. It gave him an instant migraine and he groaned in pain. “Where are Randall and Eric?” Logan asked immediately.
“Oh look, now he’s awake,” Roman said. “They’re sleeping their ordeal off.”
“No thanks to you,” Logan groaned, holding his head. His vision was swimming could someone obtain some painkillers and water.”
“Yeah,” Patton said, “give me a minute.”
Roman opened his mouth, but Logan cut him off.
“You will wait until my headache has abated,” Logan ordered. “Or I will not listen.”
“Fine,” Roman responded grumpily. He was given a little respite to relax and massage his temples.
When he signaled, Roman began, taking a deep breath before letting out a long rant, “Virgil used his fear powers to blanket half the town in a crazed fear spell and now he’s using it to take over the town. This proves he’s evil and needs to be stopped. See this is why we don’t trust villains because they betray, and-or kill us, and really we should have seen this coming. Patton doesn’t believe me, and I need you to talk sense into him.”
Logan just stared at him, waiting to see if he was actually done or not. Then he looked around. “Iplier I need a scientific explanation.”
Roman groaned, “Come on, Lo.”
“Dude, your friend is whack and took out half the city in a gnarly fear trip,” Bing interrupted.
Logan groaned, “I was talking to the Doctor, I’d rather have Roman’s explanation than that one.”
“It was pretty cool though,” Roman praised, offering a fist bump and Bing’s fist tapped his. Dr. Iplier was coming over to explain the situation in terms Logan could understand without a headache
“S’no problemo dude, glad you liked it,” Bing smiles. “But, uh, Anxiety’s probably not working alone.”
“Explain,” Logan turned back to Bing.
“So, I went to scout out what was going on, ‘cause the magic whatever doesn’ work on droids like me and Googs, but Anxiety was with Natemare an’ Anti,” Bing rambled. “So I got out of there, they totally didn’t see me.”
He was with both of ‘em?” Logan asked.
Yeah, it was super weird, dude was just staring out into space,” Bing reported.
“Do you have any video logs on the subject?” Logan demanded. Bing nodded and hooked up the closest Ipad anyone had on hand as he began to play a short clip of Anxiety standing in front of Anti and Natemare, the two of them talking as Anxiety was just staring. Standing unnaturally still.
“That’s a bit creepy, even for him,” Roman admitted.
“Something’s wrong with him,” Patton cut in. “Normally he doesn’t have good posture but his back’s like a piece of plywood.”
“Hold up a sec,” Iplier interrupted, and rushed to the door that contained both his and Henrik’s side offices. “Hey, Henrik, get out here, I need your opinion on something.”
It took a minute, but Henrik was walking out with Iplier, the two of them talking quietly.
Once the German doctor was standing with the group he looked at the clip, his frown becoming a tight, worried line, “Zat is not gud.”
“What?” Edward asked his friend.
Henrik took the recording back a couple seconds and pointed to Virgil. “He is copying Anti.”
“Is this a possession thing?” Dr. Iplier asked. “Anti can still do that right?”
“He’s what?” Patton exclaimed, bringing back Logan’s headache. “What are we going to do? We can’t leave him like that.”
“Patton, don’t scream,” Logan rubbed at his temples.
“This is awful,” Patton took the Ipad, looking heartbroken. “He must be so scared. What can we do to stop Anti?”
“Well, a little nap usually helps,” Henrik admitted. “But he might not like us after’vard.”
“But he’ll be free, that’s good, right, Roman?” Patton turned to him.
Roman hesitated, but after looking at Patton and then the Ipad, he sighed, “Yeah, Mopey Frown doesn’t deserve it.”
“That doesn’t explain what we’re going to do?” Dr. Iplier. “If it was just Anti and Natemare would could probably send a couple guys and have Logan use an EMP bomb.”
The American doctor turned to Logan, “Do you still have one?”
“Yes,” Logan admitted hesitantly. “But Anxiety is purely organic, and even if he wasn’t the range on them is too close. I would become consumed by his abilities.”
“What about Emile?” Bing spoke up. “You guys and King said Em’s got some kind of emotional empathy power like Patton, you just need to see him. Stand five blocks away on a rooftop.”
Patton made an uncomfortable noise, “Yeah, but Anxiety doesn’t like Emile, and Em can’t really do anything if the person’s fighting him. Anxiety’s gonna fight us on every word. Emile’s a bit of a squishy target. Can’t really fight against either Anti or Natemare.”
“You know who can though,” Roman’s face lit up. He looked over at Logan with a huge smile, leaning in closer to him.
Logan groaned. “Fine, if we must.”
“We kinda do,” Roman’s grin didn’t go away, it only got wider.
“Don’t pretend you hate it,” Roman told Logan. “I know you like being Remy.”
“So you two are going to fuse?” Bing asked.
“Yes,” Roman summoned and iced coffee. “Hold this for me, we’re going to want it in a bit. Don’t drink it.”
“You got it bro,” Bing promised.
Quickly Roman pulled Logan into the main area and was still all smiles as the creative Side held both hands up to snap his fingers and the space around them shifted. A twenty foot area around them turned into an old fashioned pub and Logan was now sporting a white button-down shirt and a black vest. Roman in a red vest that wasn’t buttoned.
“Let’s get started,” Roman smiled.
“I won’t cut out halfway into the song again,” Logan warned. “I still have a headache.”
“Oh, I’m counting on it Specs,” Roman smiled. “I wouldn’t dare stop a show tune halfway.”
Roman snapped his fingers as music began coming from the very room around them.
~::~ One Hour Later ~::~
Silver and Jackie were walking down Main St. with Remy walking behind them. The fused Side’s sunglasses over his eyes, drinking his iced coffee.
“So you two coming with me?” Remy asked.
“As soon as Anxiety’s done, we’ll take care ‘a the demons,” Jackie promised.
“Nice, I’m not exactly demon proof,” Remy smile, taking his still free hand and snapped his fingers at Jackie.
Remy set his coffee on top of the closest and safest surface. “Let’s do this,” the fused Side yelled. “Anx won’t stop himself.”
With that Remy stepped into the start of the fear bubble, as the other heroes had taken to calling it, that part of the city was in various states of disrepair. The people trapped in this part had either been rescued or were still causing destruction. Remy felt Virgil’s powers trying to affect him but with two different minds and two different fears, it seemed like it was having a hard time locking onto Remy himself.
Remy did try and knock out as many people as he could, just so they couldn’t keep harming themselves or others. He tried to put them in safe locations. The rest of the heroes could clean up behind him.
It didn’t take long to find Anxiety, neither the glitch demons or Virgil were exactly trying to hide.
“Hey crawler,” Anti caled out time Virgil. “You missed one.”
Virgil turned as if he’d been jolted and Remy could see the panic on Virgil’s face. A panic that seemed to become more frantic when he saw Remy. “No. No. No. No.”
Oh, he looks bad. Roman thought.
Indeed, we need to make this quick. Logan agreed.
“Hey, Anx,” Remy greeted, sand already appearing at his fingertips. He was trying to keep calm and keep a pin on where Anti and Natemare were. “You look like you could use a nap.”
Anxiety’s spider limbs shot out and his hands went up. He took a fearful step back.
Anti snatched the MP3 from Natemare’s hands. “Where do ye think yer goin’ huh?”
“Hey,” Natemare snapped at him, but Anti was messing with it and Virgil took a jolted step forward.
The exchange didn’t go unnoticed by Remy or Logan immediately started studying Virgil.
Now! Logan commanded and Remy smiled. Then he bolted for Virgil who looked even more terrified than before.
“Come on, V for Vendetta, work with me here,” Remy quipped, trying to get close enough to him to grab at the headphones still in his ears.
Virgil dodges, which both Remy and Roman thought was unfair someone with huge spider legs could still be so agile. “No, get away from me,” Anxiety shouted back, he stuck a leg in a piece of metal, probably from a car or a newspaper box and flung it at Remy.
The fusion barely dodged in time, and it almost hit Anti.
“Hey, watch it!” Anti hissed.
Remy glanced back, “Well that works too.”
Virgil kept throwing things at him, bits of rubble, pieces of smoking rubber, rocks, metal; and Remy kept dodging, trying get Anti and Natemare hit in the process.
It turned out that the fusion got to Virgil before the other villains could get hit. Remy tackled Virgil and panicked Side was trying to throw Remy back off.
“No, get off me,” Virgil was in a sheer panic and Remy reached up and grabbed the headphones off, knocking Virgil out with his sleep sand instantly. Anxiety slumping to the ground as the fear effects dissipated almost instantly.
“Shoot,” Anti frowned, walking towards Remy. “Well that was fun at least.”
“Woah, back it up, jazz,” Remy warned, standing between Virgil and the two glitch demons.
“Nah, he was gettin’ borin’ anyways,” Anti smiled, “Hey, interested in a cursed artifact?”
Jackie ran in at full speed, blinging fast with his super speed and slammed his fist into the glitch demon, screaming at the top of his lungs the instant he made contact. Anti violently fractured, but Jackie was now holding the destroyed MP3 player that the two glitch demons had been using.
The speedster cursed and looked around, spiking the device to the ground. Remy was quick to scoop the thing into his pocket and grab Virgil, pulling his arm over his shoulder. “Hey, I got Wednesday Adams,” Remy quipped. “Let’s split.”
“Pass him,” Silver flew over and Remy let the other superhero take the unconscious Anxiety and fly away with him.
“Take him to Iplier, he trusts him,” Remy ordered before turning to Jackieboy Man who was trying to take on Anti while trying to avoid Natemare.
“Come on, Lo,” Remy muttered as he pulled the arm of his jacket up, Logan’s arm brace firmly strapped onto his wrist. “Tell me you calibrated it.”
Remy pressed a couple buttons, using Logan’s memories of the device to time up an EMP blast and grabbed onto of the fake bombs out of his pocket before rushing into the fight and throwing the thing at the two villains. It exploded on contact.
Anti and Natemare screamed and then they were gone. Jackie held his hands up, his nose bleeding and a bit disorientated from the light that had come from the fake EMP bomb.
“They gone?” Jackieboy asked.
“For now,” Remy agreed, holding his own heart. “I’m surprised it got both of them in one go.
Remy and Jackie spent some time with the authorities and the EMT’s, Silver and some of the other heroes arrived to help. Virgil had been dropped off with Iplier, still unconscious from Remy’s sleep sand. After the situation was manageable, the heroes headed back to the base. Mostly to relax, Remy immediately headed over to the medical ward where Ipler and Patton were, tending to a still-unconscious Virgil.
“How’s he doing?” Remy asked.
“You really knocked him out,” Iplier admitted, “but his vitals are stable.”
“Good,” Remy relaxed. “He’s gonna be pissed when he wakes up.”
“Hopefully not,” Patton whispered. “But he’ll probably be confused when he wakes up. I’m gonna make some cinnamon rolls”
“Sounds great, Patt-attack,” Remy lowered his glasses to the end of his nose. “How you doing? Wasn’t any time to ask earlier.”
“I’m good,” Patton smiled.
“Good,” the fused side asked. “How’s Em?”
“Doing well,” Patton’s smile got wider.
“Hey, am I ever going to actually meet Em?” Remy asked.
“As much as I’d like to, I can’t,” Patton looked away.
“A guy’s gotta try,” Remy shrugged, and snapped his fingers over Virgil. The petty thief’s nose twitched, and he groaned. “Rise and shine, sleeping beauty.”
Virgil’s eyes immediately shot open and his eyes started to look between Patton and Remy. He screamed and bolted off the table.
“Calm down, we didn’t arrest you,” Remy pushed his glasses up his nose in a Logan-esque manner.
“Did you need to wake him up so abruptly?” Patton frowned, crossing his arms in disapproval.
“Where am I?” Virgil demanded.
“My office,” Iplier interrupted. “The heroes brought you here to recover so you wouldn’t have the news poking at you while you slept.”
“Uhh,” Anxiety looked around, calmed by the fact he clearly wasn’t in handcuffs. “Thanks. I’ll just go.”
“You’re in the Heroes’ base,” Remy reminded, using Roman’s creativity powers to summon himself up a new frappuccino. “Prolly don’t wanna just walk out there just yet.”
“What?” Virgil balked.
Remy slurped noisily at his frappe. “Yeah.”
“I thought I wasn’t under arrest?” Anxiety reminded.
“You’re not,” Patton agreed.
“Haven’t even been read your rights,” Remy cut in. “Certainly can’t keep you here without cause since you obviously didn’t want to be there.”
“So, I can go,” Anxiety stood up.
“Let me level with you,” Remy grabbed a chair and sat down. “You know what I am, right?”
“That’s a stupid question,” Virgil told him. “Of course I do.”
“Then you know I speak from experience when I say you’re in every position to start making deals,” Remy told him. “Stay, talk a bit, and then if you still want Patt and I can walk you out so no one bothers you.”
“Why should I believe you?” Virgil spat.
“Because I’m not Dee,” Remy took another sip of his coffee. “Sides, Logan says your chances are good either way you take it.”
“So what do you guys want?” Virgil asked, sounding suspicious.
“Well,” Patton cut in. “You could join us.”
Anxiety just stared at him, a little surprised laugh slipping out of him, “Excuse me? You’ve got to be kidding me.”
“Anx, do you wanna spend the rest of your life trailing after Dee and Remus, cleaning up their messes?” Remy leaned in. “Cause that’s what you’re gonna be doing. If you’re really happy with being part of the League then commit and do it, don’t go off and rescue people and then claim to still be one of them.”
“Remy, be nice,” Patton warned.
Virgil was quiet, looking uncomfortable.
“Anx, pardon Rem,” Patton pleaded. “We don’t want you hurt. And I couldn’t stand to see Anti using you like that.”
“What do you care?” Virgil spat back. “Like you three ever cared, I got stiffed with the box and you three were too busy goofing off help me.”
“I regret that every day,” Patton started tearing up. “That I didn’t say something to you first, but I don’t wanna see you keep getting hurt. Logan doesn’t either.”
“Neither does Roman,” Remy interrupted.
Virgil glared at him.
Remy held up his hands, “I can’t turn back into them right now to give Ro a chance to prove it to you. All I can do is ask you to give us time to prove it. Please.”
The hostility in Virgil’s eyes started to soften. It took him a bit to answer, he started playing with his hands for a bit. “I’m not doing patrols, and I don’t do press conferences.”
“Deal,” Remy looked at Iplier and Patton. “I’ll talk to Silver and Jackie.”
“Hey, wait,” Virgil’s anxiety spiked. He stood up, “you can’t just do that.”
“It’ll be fine,” Remy promised, holding the door open for Virgil to step through on his own. A couple leaps of faith.
Nervously drawing his hood over his face, Virgil followed him and Patton, Iplier bringing up the rear of the group but giving Virgil room to flee and move if he needed to. When they entered the main area of the base, Virgil hid behind Iplier.
“E’erythin’ okay?” Jackie asked, looking at Anxiety.
Iplier looked at Virgil, letting Virgil stay behind him. “Yeah, I think so.”
“Good,” Jackie nodded. “Anxiety, if you’re on the level, welcome to the group. Take a seat, try and relax.”
Patton smiled at Virgil and went off to go make some cinnamon rolls.
“Th-Thanks,” Virgil told him, looking around the room. His heart was still hammering out of his chest, but no one was attacking him or yelling at him. Virgil was so calm he’d completely forgotten about the deal he made with Dark weeks ago. Anxiety was just working on calming himself down.
Later that night, Anti walked out from the Void and in the middle of Dark’s main warehouse, shaking his head to clear some of the residue bits of the EMP black. He was more than a little angry. None of Dark’s enforcers guarding the place stopped him. “Hey, Dinodark!”
Dark walked out from his office, leaving the door open, a smile on his face as he snapped his neck to his right and straightened out his tie. “Ahh, Anti, you’re alive.”
“What did that thing actually do?” Anti asked. “I knew yah weren’t paradin’ it around fer shits an’ giggles.”
“It served its intended purpose,” Dark shrugged. “I have to thank you for being so predictable and helping out. Anxiety drags his feet and I wanted him out of the League.”
“Well, the hero’s have a new chump working with Logic,” Anti warned. “He had Logic’s tech.”
“A new apprentice?” Dark mused. “This new hero have a name?”
“Don’t know, couldn’t be bothered,” Anti shrugged, pulling a knife out. “You owe me, shitbag.”
“You stole something from me with the intent to harm my network, I owe you nothing,” Dark reminded. “I could have had Anxiety thrown out without your help.”
“Ye owe me Google fer the next month,” Anti argued.
Dark scoffed, already turning around before Anti literally snarled and lunged at the greyscaled entity. The two starting a scuffle between two of them. Dark’s enforcers moved out of the way as Dark’s aura clashed with Anti’s knives.

Hi, um could you do a prinxiety fanfic with Anxiety as a Neko because Roman spilt a potion that Logic and Morality kept.
**I've wanted to write a kitty Anx for a while, thanks for giving me an excuse**-Anxiety was angry. He was raging. He was- he was-Downright purr-ious."Patton, one more pun and I swear I'm going to-""Claw my eyes out?"There was enraged hissing from beneath the blankets on the couch."I don't know, he doesn't sound any different than normal. Are we sure he's changed?"In an explosion of pillows and blankets popped Anxiety, whose eyes were filled with fire."I dare you to say that again," He hissed. His tail flicked angrily behind him."You're too adorable to take seriously, kiddo," Morality cooed as he sat beside the other.Anxiety hissed dangerously and raised a clawed hand in warning, but Paton ignored him and instead ruffled his hair -mindful of the calico ears poking up- and then hugged him, electing not to comment on the quiet purring that emitted from the other nearly immediately.Prince came dashing into the room."Alright, I found one potion that might turn you back sooner, or you can wait a week for it to wear off.""..... What do you mean might?""Well, it might work, or it might.... Make the effects permanent.... Or turn you into a llama.""What is this? Some kind of rip-off of a cartoon movie from 2000?!"Prince held the vial out, "You want it, yes or no?"He thought. Take a chance to turn back normal, or have this be a permanent fixture for the rest of his life?"I'm good.""You sure?""I'm sure I'm gonna shed on your bed if you don't leave me alone."With a huff, Prince turned and left the room, mumbling under his breath.Anxiety stayed in his corner on the couch for the rest of the day (would've been longer if Patton didn't make him go to bed in his room).Well, he tried going to bed. But- gosh darn it, he couldn't sleep like this; it was too cold!He tried creating a giant pile of blankets- but it didn't help. Nothing did. He even curled up in front of his heater, but then he was too hot, and the fur on his tail, and surrounding his ears began to itch and he was getting frustrated to the point of angry tears. He was tired! After trying many times to find the perfect sleeping pile, he gave up and decided to listen to music. And then he was throwing his phone on the floor in anger. He couldn't listen to ear buds, his ears were now on top of his head and he couldn't wear headphones either. And he couldn't blast the music through speakers because the others were sleeping."I hate this!" He let out on a half-growl/half-hiss. In all actuality, it was a terrifying sound. He was hot, and cranky, and so so tired. He just wanted this whole thing to end.He curled up at the head of his bed, trembling from cold, and glaring at nothing in particular as he cursed Prince and his incessant fascination with magic."Stupid Prince, stupid potion," He sniffles and wiped at his nose, flinching when he brushed roughly against the short whiskers, "stupid fur making me hot, stupid eyes letting me see in the dark, stupid ears, stupid phone...." He continued muttering until he yelped as a knock sounded on his door."Who is it?" He snapped."Do you want this warm milk or not?" Anxiety could practically see Prince's eye roll through the door."I don't know, did you dump another potion in it?""Y'know what, I'm just gonna go dump it, you flea-ridden-"Before he could finish his statement Anxiety was at the door, tail up and alert, but his ears pressed down as he reached put to snatch Prince's shirt sleeve."I'm sorry," he said in a small voice, "Please don't go."He kept his eyes on the floor, but Prince turned back and smirked."That's better. Here," He held out the mug, but Anxiety didn't take it. "Oh, come on. I just wanna go back to bed, can you just take it already?"Anxiety obliged, with shaking hands."Finally. Now try being a little quieter, I need my beauty sleep."He turned to leave, but a small sound caught his attention. It was a whisper."I'm cold."He looked back over his shoulder, and sure enough, Anxiety was standing shivering violently, the mug in his hand shaking so bad it almost spilled. His tail was wrapped around his own arm, as if that would stop the shivering. His ears were flat, and -while Roman couldn't see his face, he could only assume what the others expression must be.Anxiety began to back into the room, grinding his teeth down to stop them from chattering."Wait, Anxiety-" He looked up at Prince, who was staring at him with- that couldn't be concern. Not for him."W-what?" He silent hissed at his shaking voice. It was just so cold. Shouldn't cats be warm? What was this bull?!"Are you- can I help you?" Prince took a single step forward, but then no more, as he wasn't sure what to do.Anxiety set his mug on the dresser nearby and practically flew into Prince, was shocked by the action. In all his life, he had never seen Anxiety initiate contact with anyone."Are-are you that cold?"Anxiety shivered and nodded, a pathetic whine escaping his throat.Prince sighed and turned him around, leading him back into his room."Alright, let's start with the warm milk."Anxiety nodded, and picked up his mug as he was lead to his bed."Lucky for you, I know all the tricks to good sleep, and you look like you need all the beauty sleep you can get."He elected to ignore the growl Anxiety gave in turn."Finish drinking that milk while I build up a warm comfort area for you."Anxiety did so begrudgingly, regretting his earlier actions ten-fold."There!" Prince exclaimed five minutes later. "I dare you to be cold now! This is the ultimate snuggle fort!"Anxiety happily dove into the pile of blankets head first, his tail wiggling happily at the aspect of finally being warm- also because he was struggling to get in the darn blankets!"Are you stuck- nevermind."Anxiety burrowed into the hole and looked out at Prince with large brown eyes, irises narrowed into slits at the light coming from behind the royal. It was menacing and intriguing all at once, and Prince was entranced for a moment- until he saw the shivering."Seriously?""S-sorry. It-t's just so-o-o cold-d." He shivered, his lips pulling into a frown as his eyes welled up.If there's one thing Prince couldn't stand, it was seeing one in distress.Even if it was his sworn enemy. Or rather, loathing partner. Okay, maybe they were just frenemies, but he wasn't going any further than that!"Move over."Anxiety's eyes widened but he began wiggling. There was no over to move to, but they somehow managed to fit the both of them in the swaddled caccoon of blankets. Prince was sitting up against the headboard, and he yanked Anxiety into his lap, wrapping his arms around him and resting his head atop the others."P-Pri-""Shut up and go to sleep. I'm tired." Prince mumbled crossly.Anxiety hesitated for a few moments before throwing all caution to the wind and burrowing as close to the other as he could, head rubbing under Prince's chin (and ears tickling his nose) hands pinned between his back and the wall of blankets, and legs tucked securely under himself. It was a bit uncomfortable, but neither paid it any mind.Anxiety was warm. And when Patton came by an hour later, presumably to check on his feline companion, he made no sound as he shut off the hall light and flicked on Anxiety's butterfly lights before laying the other two in a more comfortable position. Then, he snuck out once more, as though he had never been there.

Five Nights
@vortexart
(Thomas’s P.O.V)
I let out a sigh as I reach my new part time job, a night guard at a rather old looking pizzeria that looks as if it hasn’t been cared for in many years. I push open the creaky old door to find that it’s empty and that on the stage are the same three animatronics that has always been up there.
“Time hasn’t been kind to any of you four now has it?” I say sadly as I past them on my way to the main office to find that it is also empty, I take a seat at the desk and play the message I have.
“Hello, welcome to your first night on the job here at Vine. Your job as a night guard is to keep an eye on all of the animatronics as they do tend to wonder around at night for a bit as it has something to do with their servos locking up if they don’t move... I don’t know much.” I raise an eyebrow at that comment that he had made not really understanding what he means by it all.
“Ok... that makes a bit of sense as they are getting old now after all these years of performing for this old place.” I mutter in thought as I continue to listen to the phone guy’s intro for me about what I should do and don’t do here so that I can in fact keep the job here… I don’t know yet.
“You also will need to conserve your power as you only have a limited amount, so close your doors only when you have to alright? We need to save power for the morning.” The message says and I can’t help to roll my eyes at what the phone guy said about saving power for the next morning.
“Why don’t you renovate this place and upgrade the animatronics’?” I mutter sarcastically.
“I will see you tomorrow night… hopefully that is.” The pre-recorded message finishes weirdly and I am left to think over everything that he had said to me in that message… oh well, I check my watch to see that it has just turned midnight and time to start my six hour long shift here.
“This is going to be the easiest bet I have ever done! Joan will eat their words once these five nights are over and done with!” I say to myself with a large grin on my face as I relax I bit as it is still rather early in my six hour shift of the first night at this place as nothing will happen... right?
(Logic’s P.O.V – Half an hour later)
The clock on the wall behind us on the main wall hits half twelve as I make my way around the quiet and abandoned pizzeria that the gang and I, all have called our home for many years.
“Logic?” I hear a soft voice mutter after me from the old stage but I ignore the soft and worried voice as I walk around my slightly rusted and stiff joins begin to scrap against each other.
“How did all of this happen?” I mutter as the scraping makes a loud clanging sound that sounds so much louder then it normal. I make it to the main party room and I let memories of when this place was full with laughter and was a safe place for all that came here to wash over me again.
(Flashback)
The party room is filled with children all running around and having fun as Anxiety, Morality and I are all on stage, Anxiety is singing, while Morality and I are his backups I also play the guitar.
-This is Halloween, this is Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! In this town we call home. Everyone hail to the pumpkin song. La, la, la, la, la, la- Anxiety finishes the song as it is Halloween and it matches with his personality much better than any other time of the year.
“More! More! More! Please one more song Anxbear!!” The kids all call out in pure joy at the stage as we are now allowed to roam the room to play with and to entertain all of the young kids.
“Now kids… would you prefer to see him and the gang on stage or walk around and play with you all?” One of the staff says with a light smile on their face and the kids run up to us giggling, some head over to Pirates cove to see Princey while others stay with us three with large smiles.
“Gather round mates as I tell you the tale of how I almost lost my whole arm getting some rare treasure!” Prince says with a pirate accent before he dives into the story that he had ready for the kids since last night, I wander around keeping an eye on it all, I am happy with it all so far.
“Can you show me a trick please?” A young six year old boy with dark brown hair and brown eyes asks me with a large begging look in his eyes, I give him a smile as I rough up his hair a little bit.
“Now what time of party would this be if the main guest didn’t get what he wants?” I ask him as Morality makes his way over to us with a large smile on his face and hands behind his back.
“Did I just hear that the guest of honour wants a trick?” Morality says once he is standing next to me and a few other kids have gathered before us curious to know what is going on right now.
“That you did Morality.” I say to him with a soft smile on my lips as he interacts with the children gathered around us, I see that Anxiety has come off the stage and is coming over with Prince.
(Flashback End)
I am pulled out of my thoughts about the past when I suddenly can hear some soft singing, coming from within the curtain of Pirate Cove… normally Princey isn’t active this early in the night.
“I best head back to see if Morality has moved.” I mutter as I head back to the stage area.
(Morality’s P.O.V – half an hour after Logic left the stage)
I take my turn to leave my spot on the stage at Anxiety’s left to roam around after being stuck on the stage all day, I worry about Logic as he was unusually quiet when he left his spot earlier.
“Ahh, so you are also up and about then.” I turn to face the source of the voice only to find that it’s Logic making his way over to me with a soft smile on his face that I return full force.
“Yeah, this is the only time we get to walk around the old place again… I miss being able to interact with the kids Lo.” I say as I place the silver tray with the single cupcake on a nearby table.
“You are not the only one to feel like that Mo alright? It has been close to thirty odd years since we have been allowed to move around freely.” Logic says to me with a soft tone and gaze in his brown with a red tint eyes, if I was able to then I would be blushing at how he is looking at me.
“Logic is right about that… at least you still get to see the kids.” Logic and I turn to face Prince as he makes his way over to us… he never leaves his little cove not even to talk with Anxiety.
“Hey, Prince what are you doing out of pirate’s cove? It’s unusual for you to leave now a days.” I ask him with a soft voice as he makes his way over to us and he looks worse than normal.
“I heard that there is a new night guard and I kind of missed hanging out with you all… he’s still on the stage?” Prince says to us with a fox like grin on his face as he says this with a shrug before he trails off with worry in his brown with a gold tint eyes as Logic and I both nod sadly to him.
“He only moves when it’s completely dark now… has for a little while but maybe seeing you can change that?!” I say as if there is anyone that can get through to Anxiety then it is Prince, he nods his head before he goes over to the stage with his tail swaying a little bit behind him.
(Thomas’s P.O.V – around three in the morning)
I am half way through my shift and both Logic and Molality have at times come towards the back office and I have managed to keep them out so far, I have about half of my power left.
“So Princey hasn’t come up here yet and Anxiety has yet to move from the stage at all.” I mutter as I look around the pizzeria with the cameras. Logic is in the main party room and Morality is the kitchen by the sound of it as the camera in there is broken and I can only hear the audio.
“… Like to move much but please Anx...” I catch a snippet of a conversation as I switch through the cameras… confused I go back to the stage to see Prince is on the stage with Anxiety.
“I thought they just move around at night…” I mutter feeling a bit confused on what I had heard, Prince’s fox ears are dropping and his tail is hanging limply as if he is upset or worried.
“Please Anxiety, we are all worried about you… please you need to move or your servos will lock up.” Prince says to the non-moving animatronic before him with a worried tone in his voice, now I am a bit worried the phone guy said nothing about them being able to talk… like at all.
“Alright this changes nothing for me and if anything it’s a comfort as it means that they are still themselves after all these years.” I try to calm myself down with this knowledge as I continue with my shift… maybe this will be a little harder than I first thought if they keep all of this up.
“Let us in we only want to play.” I hear them all say to me as the night goes on, I keep a closer eye on my doors as three out of four all head up here more often causing me to us more power. The alarm on the IPad goes off letting me know that it is six and that my shift is finally over.
“Finally my shift is over.” I breathe as I get up and make my way out of the place, I find that all of the animatronics are back in their proper places once again as if they have never moved. As I pass the stage on my way to the main doors I swear I can feel their eyes following after me.
“Welcome to five nights, see you again tomorrow.” I hear a low voice say to me before it goes quiet again.

The prince And The Dragon
Here is today’s fanfic! This is the first time I try for this prompt so it might sound a bit rough. Please understand my English skill isn’t really good. 😅 Also, I hope you like it! I am actually really excited to write this prompt.
This may give you a hint, but listening to “Wedding in Dream” by Andemund Orchestra will definitely make the whole fanfic better.
Pairing: Prinxiety
All cute and sweet.
It was just an average trip, until when Prince took a ring out of his pocket and kneeled in front of him on his right knee and asked, "Will you marry me?"
Honestly, Anxiety doesn't know what to think right now. He didn't expect Prince to propose to him in the middle of nowhere. Prince, being Prince, definitely wanted everyone in the world to know he proposed. But no. He chose here. He stared at Prince, blushing madly like a red tomato. His memory flashed back to months ago when Prince asked him how he wants his proposal to be.
Anxiety remembered he said, "I want no one to witness it because it's embarrassing. And I want it to be at night." And then they were there. In the wild Sahara Desert, under the dome of the starry sky, his prince charming kneeled in front of him, asking if he wants to marry him. Yes, his prince.
Everything was perfect and dreamy. Anxiety sent his hand to Prince and responded, "Yes." As if the night heard his answer, suddenly dozens of shooting stars flew across the sky with their gorgeous tail made of light. They had been waiting for this for months, and it came right after the proposal.
Prince put the ring on Anxiety's right-hand third finger. He stood up and kissed Anxiety.
"I don't need a princess in my life when I have a dragon by my side." He whispered into the kiss.
Anxiety nearly cried. This was what he wished for the whole life. He was searching someone that would admit he wants him and needs him. Anxiety thought he would never get someone like Prince. But there he was, standing in front of him, promising his love for Anxiety.
"I love you." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's been another year since Prince proposed to him, and tomorrow will be their wedding day. Anxiety is always grateful that he has Prince with him. But tonight, he has to admit he is a bit scared.
"Morality? Are you still awake?" He wanders to Morality's door and knocks. Morality opens the door and peeks out his head. "What's the matter kiddo? You should be sleeping now. Tomorrow is your big day!" He advises.
Anxiety bites his lip and whispers, "I'm scared. Can I come in?"Morality frowned and nodded, "Totally." He closes the door behind Anxiety and questioned, "What's the matter?
Anxiety hesitates a little and starts to talk, "I... How will it be after we get married? What... What if he doesn't want me anymore at someday? ...Don't get me wrong, I trust him. I'm just not confident in myself... I think..."
Morality rubs Anxiety's back. He challenges, "Prince will never leave you. Both Logic and I can agree on this. You know when we agree on something, that means they are probably true." Anxiety giggled at the joke Morality makes about Logic and him. "And believe me, there won't be a lot of changes. You will only get more intimate and love each other more. Logic and I didn't change much after the marriage, right? Have faith Anx."
Anxiety smiles. Morality embraces Anxiety and says, "Now now, go back to your room. It's going to be a long day tomorrow." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Wake up Anxiety! You need to get dressed right now! It's your wedding day!" Missy yells.
Anxiety peeks out his head from the sheet and pouts, "Five more minutes please... 'm tired..."
Pranks replies him by lifting the whole blanket up. He smirks, "No more bargaining, let's dress you up! Now go to your bathroom and clean yourself up! We'll get your clothes for the wedding!"
Anxiety throws a pillow to Pranks and complains, "Stop ordering me!" He sits up and rubs his hair. "Okay I'll go clean up, now leave my room."
Missy nods his head and starts to head out. "Don't leave the room until you're instructed! You're not allowed to meet Prince until later."
Anxiety rolls his eyes and mumbles, "Who wants to see him."
"Heard that!" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prince is more than ready for this day. He started preparing for the wedding months ago, and now it's finally the time.
"Ding." The sound of the phone drags him out of his spiral of thoughts. It's ten o'clock. Prince steps out of his room.
The wedding takes place in a yard in a big castle in France. Prince has always wanted to get married in a castle, so Anxiety decides to go with him. It is a wedding in the late afternoon. The area faces the breathtaking sunset. At the end of each seated aisle, jasmine scented candles hang from naked tree branches. Spread down the aisle is white leaves, slightly moist so they wouldn’t crack when people stepped on them.
Prince and Anxiety walk from each end of the red carpet. Prince is wearing a well-fitted black suit with a neat white shirt. His pants show the well-trained thigh and his leather shoes are shiny as the brand-new. Anxiety surprisingly decides not to wear a dark make up today. His earth-color eye shadow perfectly sets his eyes off to advantage. They stop in the middle and stand before Logic.
"Your wedding day will come and go, but may your love forever grow." Logic says with a smile on his face. "You may say the wedding vow."
Prince turns and faces toward Anxiety. He looks into Anxiety's eyes and declares, "There are thousands of fairytale end in marrying a princess, but all of my happily every afters involves you."
Anxiety grins. He says with a smaller voice, "If one day we encounter danger, I'll protect you till the end of me."
Logic announced, "Now you may exchange your rings." They exchange the ring and pull each other into a kiss.
Anxiety breaks the kiss and smiles, "We should light the candle." Prince nods his head and heads toward the candle stand. They lit their candles and take them to the middle.
"You may lit the candle."
Together, they light the larger candle made in half black half white. After putting back the candles, Prince pulls Anxiety into another hug. Anxiety murmurs in Prince's ear, "I love you."
Prince smiles once more. He whispers, "I love you, too, my husband."
I’ll leave it to you to decide whether it’s pta dads or they married with different people. Also, I’ll leave it to you to decide whether there’s a thing between Morality and Anxiety before or they are just friend.
To me, Anxiety definitely isn’t someone that will say a super sweet vow because he probably doesn’t even like the wedding that much. But if you think about it, his vow is just as determined and magnificent as Prince’s.
I don’t really know about western weddings, but I tried my best to depict it. I also didn’t use the Christian vow because I believe there are people that believe in different religion. And I think they should have their special vows.
I actually have no idea how to name this, because there are so many things, and I just can’t find a title that includes everything.

One Shot: Not One Of Them
This is post Prinxiety breakup
@vortexart
(Anxiety’s P.O.V)
I am now in my room listening to a song called ‘Paint it black’ nightcore version as it is so much creepier that way while I think over how I am seen as the bad guy out of the four sides. I do not help Thomas like at all… I just burden him and make his life so much harder than is needed.
“I best go and get something to eat as I can’t brood with an empty stomach.” I mumble to myself with a tired groan as I get up off my bed and leave my room… where are the other three now?
“So Prince what you doing?” I hear Morality ask cheerfully from the common area, I make my way over to the large room I hide behind the wall so that they don’t see me but I can see them all.
“Oh nothing much… what about you Morality?” Prince returns with a kind tone of voice, I can just see that the others are all sharing laughs and jokes as if I don’t exist and I don’t blame them.
“Yeah I’m good… well as good as I can be after that rather strong panic attack Thomas had earlier today.” Mo sighs as he takes a seat next to Prince, he looks older then he should be allowed.
“Anx was more active than normal and that had almost ruined the whole day that we had planned for Thomas.” I make my way back to my room without grabbing any food to think over what I had just saw, I grab my black guitar and start to strum the tune for a very familiar song of mine.
-Feeling left out. From the right side of your bed. Feeling stressed out over every last word you said. Feelings left now, just a ghost inside my head. Feeling less now cause I know you dream me dead- I sing out onto my room as I continue the song that I fits with my own life so perfectly.
“HAHAHAH!” I can suddenly hear Prince laugh out at something that Morality must have said.
-I been left out, lied to, talked about and used. Stared down and laughed at, while walking out of school. You wanna put the blame on me the feeling's nothing new. You wanna hang more pain on me there's nothing you can do. A moment lasts inside this coffin, I'm buried often- I continue to sing as I let the sad music wash over me and it takes away all of my worries as least for now.
(Prince’s P.O.V)
“Did you guys hear that? It sound like singing?” I ask as I we all become silent and we can make out that it is indeed singing but where is it coming from and what does it mean, I wonder?
-Every time you're calling once you're starting there's no stopping. You know what, I pick my phone up, know you can hear me, just show up and show love, just want you near me. But like does that even feel right cause I don't want you if anyone can hold you all through the night- I stand up from our little game and with the other two follow after me as well we all leave the main common area to go try and figure out where this rather soulful music is coming from and why.
“The person singing sounds so sad.” Morality mutters and I have to agree with him on that.
-And is it even fair or worth for me to put up a fight, just to prove that I'm the one and you still leave out of spite. No more broken hearts to fall apart to broken promise, no more playing cards with broken shards with ghosts to haunt us. And we don't gotta put all this care beyond us, but you don't gotta be scared to be honest- We continue to follow the sad and broken sounding song to find that it’s coming from Anxiety’s room and none of us have been in there no even me.
“It’s coming from Anxiety’s room? Prince surely you know what we can expect in there?” Logic asks and I shake my head at them gaining shocked and confused looks from the both of them.
“No I don’t, not even I have been in his room…” I trail off as we hear the singing start up again.
-Feeling left out. From the right side of your bed. Feeling stressed out over every last word you said. Feelings left now, just a ghost inside my head. Feeling less now cause I know you dream me dead- We all recognise the song that he is singing as Thomas hear it on the radio the other day.
“Why is he singing that song?” Morality asks us but I don’t have an answer for him and it looks like that Logic doesn’t have one either, I try to slowly open his door but its look... of course it is.
“Does anyone know how to unlock it?” Logic asks and again Logic and Morality look at me.
-I thought a lot lately, please. I wanna stop playing these games. Your mom and pops hate me. And now I'm probably not your top choice as you're drinking on the rocks lately ha. I wanna confess, I wanna die when you're brought up by friends, and every night I'm haunted in bed so I cry every drop is a sin. And I think I'm healing again but every feeling I'm feeling is like I'm peeling the skin- We hear the next part of the sad song before I can answer the question asked of me.
“Does he really feel that way?” Mo asks us both as I look at the door with a worried look on it.
“We need to get in and talk with him.” I say to the other two and they nod their heads at me.
-Always dealing with women at every show and event but when we're home or if we're out you're on your phone every second. Said that I'm an ass, I said I think you're right. So every conversation turns to basically a fight. Stare into my eyes tell me what you need. As I pray to God that you never leave- I doubt any of us had realise that he has ever felt like that as he always keeps it to himself.
(Anxiety’s P.O.V)
-Feeling left out. From the right side of your bed. Feeling stressed out over every last word you said. Feelings left now, just a ghost inside my head. Feeling less now cause I know you dream me dead- I sing the last of verse of the song before I put my guitar back and my room shifts once again to show a black and empty void of nothing expect for my basic furniture that is all dark wood.
“It sounds so quiet in there… maybe he is asleep?” I hear Morality ask in a whisper as I make my way to the door before I roughly open it startling the three other sides not looking impressed.
“What did you three want?” I ask with a sneer on my lips and arms crossed over my chest.
“We just want to know how you are Anxiety.” Morality with that smile on his face and I give them a blank stare back from the looks of it they were standing here a long time so that means…
“You three where eavesdropping on me weren’t you? You can’t leave me alone in case I harm Thomas again.” I ask them with a dark tone and my eyes narrowed down at them all slightly.
“Now Anxiety that’s not the reason why we are here, though…” Morality starts to say but he trails off as my stare doesn’t waver… my room is the one place I don’t have to hide my emotions.
“Can we come in so that we can talk, please?” Prince asks and I think it over so that’s why it shifted from the cult space back to normal… I move out of the way for them all to come in after me.
“This is the only time that you are allowed in.” I tell them with a sneer before I make my way back to my bed, Logic sits at my desk and two other chairs shift into existence for them to sit down.
“How…” Princey trails off looking surprised… don’t their rooms morph and change like mine?
“So why are you all here anyway, I mean none of you have never wanted to be anywhere near me or my room before?” I ask the others sounding not that impressed with the whole thing.
“Well you see Anx, with the panic attack this morning and the song you sang is there something that you need to tell us?” Prince asks me with a nervous tone with Morality and Logic agreeing with him and I just stare at them all not believing what I had just heard coming from Prince.
“Really? You all have the nerve to ask that of me? First off you have a go at me about the panic attack that Thomas had then you eavesdrop on me and now you ask me if I’m alright?” I ask them with my hands now on my hips instead and I stare them all down as I stand up from my bed.
“Anx, we…” Morality starts to speak but he doesn’t know what to say to me so he trails off.
“No you can’t do that to me, you can’t confuse me even more than I already am… get out all of you.” I tell them with a growl leaving me and my room starts to shift around with my feelings, they get up and leave without look my way as I try to get my room back to my type of normal.
“Well if you need to talk then you know where to find me.” I hear Morality say before my door is closed behind them, I wait a few moments to be sure that they have gone before I give up.
“Even after everything what happened between me and Prince they still all hate me… I will never be one of them, no matter what.” I let the silent tears flow as my room shifts and changes around me.
