The difference between Tate&Liza vs Ingo&Emmet is really fun...

Tate and Liza, 10 years old: We need to grow as individuals instead of always being a mirror of the other. We will always be there for one another, but we need to find other friends, other people, other interests, other things to do besides being a set.

Ingo and Emmet, 30 years old: We spend some time apart for the first time in years after having chosen on purpose a matching outfit, and we came to the conclusion that we are mirrors of each other, that we are each others greatest partner and rival, and that there's no need to separate when we're both marching in the same direction.

It worked out well for them for so many years, so it's probably the right move! It's a shame we know it won't last much longer.

Here is my belated submission for the Sept-Ingo prompt GHOST! I was inspired by Hisuian Typhlosian's Pokedex description -- it states that the species benevolently eats lost spirits to help guide them to the afterlife. Additionally, Ingo strikes me as a "ghost" in a poetic sense, in that he is someone displaced in time, a "ghost" of the future, so to speak.

With all that said, I thought it'd be kind of funny for a Hisui Typhlosion to get a bit confused, lol. Although realistically, it would probably tell Ingo is a living person, I'm conjecturing here that Ingo gives off enough vibes similar to lost spirits (forgotten memories, a lonely aura, a sense of being displaced in time/space, etc.) to make it second-guess itself!

btw i hate having to say this but the weirdness of the internet gives me paranoia: Akari's Typhlosion is being motherly here! please don't tag as a ship i beg of you

This Typhlosion is Akari's, and she is a very nurturing, motherly type—a bit like a sweet grandma, lol. Hisuian Typhlosions strike me as gentle and kind despite being a little eerie and mysterious. They are friendly psychopomps, after all!!

Although Akari helps her understand that Ingo is indeed not a ghost to be eaten, I imagine she still goes out of her way to dote on Ingo (probably as much as she does so for Akari!). She does not see age -- everyone is a potential child to her lollll.

Ingo is not sure how to feel about this. After almost losing his beloved hat, he probably is a little wary of her at first (I think losing his hat is one way to make the composed man panic! It is one of his very few beloved possessions, and it holds strong meaning to him, even though he doesn't remember why completely). It doesn't take very long for him to warm up to the silly team mom fire badger, however. :)

Hmm, I need to come up with a name for her! You guys have any ideas? >0>

Decided to polish some jacket designs!

Emmet originally received a strait from the League after they thought he posed a safety risk to others and mandated him to wear it. Big surprise, they literally just went to a Unovan hospital and asked if they had any of the old jackets lying around. It's ill-fitting and unpleasant, not to mention the hasty edits they made to his uniform to act as a secondary restraint looks awful. As much as he is still operating as usual, having to walk around in the strait is humiliating and dehumanizing, especially because of the stares from other people.

Of course this crime against dignity and fashion had to be corrected, so Elesa called her designers and offered to make the League Council a more appropriate uniform for him. The only rule given was that it must still restrain as well as the original straitjacket, so Elesa ended up modelling the jacket after a vest and the secondary restraint after a double-breasted greatcoat. It's meant to look like clothing, more like everyday wear than something out of an asylum. It also uses hand covers (i.e. socks) instead of a grossly oversized sleeve to keep the hands restrained.

It resolves a lot of the issues Emmet had with the original, namely that it blends in with the crowd rather than making him stick out. It also has an air of professionalism and formality that the original didn't have. He's much more willing to wear it and keep it on, as well as being more comfortable in it.

I'm struggling to describe this in sentences so as for the differences:

League Straitjacket:

actual retired straitjacket from hospital storage

made of old canvas and leather

uses oversized belted sleeves to restrain arms

uses belts and buckles to restrain upper arms and tighten back

can't fit anything thicker than a tank top underneath

Elesa's Modified Straitvest:

bespoke articles custom tailored to Emmet's measurements

made from stiff cotton and fabric straps

uses belted cuffs and hand covers to restrain arms

uses straps and locking slide buckles to restrain upper arms and tighten back

able to fit a collared shirt underneath

Elesa's outfit also has the added bonus of being more breathable, soft, and being able to function as regular clothes.

cassiel lives in the year 2099 in Neo Theseus, which is a project belonging to my friend @peachdelta! he's making a wiki for it that i'll link when it's done lol. cassiel is the head of the Atropos family, which... really just consists of him by himself. it's one of the governing bodies of neo theseus. he's not literally an angel; he just has heavy tech mods that are styled similarly to his father's.

speaking of cassiel's father, cas is a slightly botched clone of his parent, dove. dove was not a particularly present father, leaving most of cassiel's care in the hands of autogears - robots without free will or personality profiles. cassiel would have ended up much differently if it weren't for the influence of his bodyguard, semaphore. going against dove's wishes, semaphore taught cassiel how to be human, despite not being human themself. it's entirely thanks to them that cassiel has any distinction between right and wrong, developing a gentle and timid personality - with just a streak of mischievousness.

about a decade ago, dove was assassinated. as dictated in his will, cassiel immediately underwent an invasive surgery to replace half of his face with wiring that would connect to dove's old mask. when the mask is affixed to cassiel's face, an AI built in dove's likeness speaks to him, dictating his decisions in regards to the atropos senate. so, basically, cassiel is nothing but a figurehead as his father continues to govern.

I'm not saying world domination is a particularly worthy goal, but literally what else can one aspire to beyond this given the unbelievably restrictive rules of that universe? this is a world conceived to be a hierarchy, and stay one, by design!! Nayru's domain, Wisdom's domain, is literally Natural Rules, and Farore's, Courage, is to create life that can abide by these rules. It's in the very cutscene that introduces them as a mythological concept!!

So if you're unlucky enough to be casted as "one of the bad ones that aren't blessed sorry :/" either you wall yourself in a cave and live your life lowly and miserable, hoping no hero will come break all of your pots while you're out picking up wood, or you take your only reasonable shot at making significant change for yourself. Like what else do you do in such a conservative world??? attempt to build diplomacy, when your entire race is being considered evil thieves inherently, and when you're incredibly underpowered and with nothing of worth to offer your neighbors?? like what is one poor poor gerudo king meant to do :(((((

(caveat in case this leaves the usual circle: no I'm not saying this to undermine that Ganon is a maniac and gleefully violent and egotisical and willing to put others in harm's way in the name of his own hype, nor that he is a worthy ruler with any sort of long-term political vision that would look terribly different from hyrule's --tho giving Ingo the ranch in OoT was kind of an ideological W imo even if Ingo is not a great dude once in charge (which in itself is so interesting ideologically, it's once again a case of You Were Assigned Subordinate And If You Try To Swap Places The Natural World Will Collapse Yes Even If You Are Suffering And Treated Poorly Your Suffering Is Natural While The Suffering Of Those In Charge Is Unnatural)-- but, yeah.
