meowdy! looks like our move to a new apartment is not going to be so peaceful after all - our old apartment is currently leaking sewage water and we have to evacuate four people and two cats! donations are appreciated, but im opening an emergency sale + commissions too! (more under the cut)
KO-FI SHOP SALE + EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN!
DISCOUNT CODE IS 'LEAK' IN ALL CAPS
so for this section, i'm going to break down everything thats happening + when things will come off hiatus! i'm hoping that everything will be set up in the new place by JUNE 1st, so that is the hard deadline i'm setting to start all functions up again as usual.
WHAT'S HAPPENING?
two years ago, my fiance and i were offered emergency housing when we (very suddenly and tragically) became the parents to his orphaned little sister. both of us are only 26 and had to move 8 hours from where we had been living at the time, so the housing we had was the best 2 people with few connections and no established jobs could find within a single weeks notice.
since then, we have been saving up and working to finally have a proper place to live. and we did so! at the beginning of this month we found an apartment where all of us can move to. we have a friend staying with us who is helping with the move as well.
i really wanted this move to be seamless - basically, you wouldn't have had to know it was happening. we were going to pay double rent for two months while i would stream and work from the old place, and begin sleeping at the new one. its expensive, but i didn't want my real life to trouble anyone here.
unfortunately this is no longer possible. the old building we were staying at had a pipe begin to leak, then eventually flood our entire apartment. this has been a reoccurring problem the landlord hasn't seemed to find a solution for, and it's led to a biohazard where we were planning on slowly moving from - leading to an immediate and emergency evacuation for the safety of everyone in our family.
SO... STREAMING?
will be back online as soon as possible! we moved out our tech as soon as we could due to fear of water damage, and it seems like everything is A-OK. we just need to rebuild my desk and sound proof the new room, so this will probaaabbly be back online within a week? im just going to take the week off to make sure everything is set up and there are no bugs. (digital. digital bugs.)
LAIKA'S COMET?
for the sake of not losing my buffer crazystyle, i'm pausing laika's until JUNE 1st. but i'm going to post one more page right now to leave you guys on a cliffhanger because i think it's funny. (the ko-fi will still update as regular as i finish pages! tbh, in between moving i am going to be drawing.... a LOT... it's like my only self soothing activity i have access to right now </3)
SHOP STUFF?
you basically won't notice a difference. orders go out every 2 weeks anyway, and literally the day before this happened we completely caught up to date. that + all of the goods we had were already moved over because (similar to the tech) we were worried about water damage, so nothing will be yucky... (i dont know if i can say the same about our furniture or clothes ; _ ; )
FINAL NOTES
while we did manage to get out with emergency bags and a weeks worth of outfits + things to sleep on + cook with, we have no real means of knowing the extent of damage until we bring things out of the apartment and clean them here. thankfully *most* things appear undamaged, its largely the flooring and the smell that are unliveable... walking through puddles of sewage water and having to wear a mask to breathe is not really liveable conditions.
however, considering this move is sped up way faster than planned, and i wont be able to work during it - any sales or donations are hugely appreciated. ; w ;
i'm sorry to ask for help like this, and its only if you are comfortable to do so!!! i can work hard, so i don't mind doing a little extra art to make money, this is just if you feel okay to help out and would like to.
if you read this far, thank you so much - hopefully next time i will return with good news - and maybe a new apartment tour...?

Update on Shop + Shop Interest Check!
Heya, coming by to give some updates on preorders from the last big shop update, and running an interest check for shop ideas later in the year!
Currently all items aside from the Optimal Transportation charm reruns are being held by the manufacturers, this is due to the ongoing hell of tariffs on things produced outside of the US. The Optimal Transportation charms being sent are part of a test shipping batch to help counteract said tariff nonsense if possible. This set should be shipping out to me this week, and if all goes well with them arriving to me intact, everything else waiting to be shipped should hopefully come soon after.
I apologize for the delay having caused any inconveniences, there isn't much I was able to do about the timing of the tariffs coming (especially with most of these orders being placed around January before any hint of tariffs coming), I have fingers crossed things will be resolved as soon as possible. Once everything has arrived to me I'll be including some extra goods (likely stickers or a print!) to those awaiting their orders as thanks for your patience!
While waiting for updates, here comes the interest check for the shop! Suffice to say I won't be having much put into production overseas until there's a certain, reliable way of shipping things to me that doesn't require sacrificing my first born child to cover it. That said, I'll still be working on art and other projects for when I can, so the interest check will help with planning. For those interested, you can fill it out below!
As for other projects that are being planned, I'll have some news dropping about it tomorrow afternoon, hope you'll be looking forward to it! :)

Aiden is tasked with taking care of Emmet.
After his first day of work, quitting and never looking back seemed more than tempting. But after some consideration of his past and some talking to from Vincent, Elesa and Ingo, he decides to stay.
Just being in the presence of the bot that smashed him into the ground gives him the heebie-jeebies, but it‘s no use. He needs to find out what‘s wrong with him. Get to the source of the corruption and fix him.

Remaining Dolls will be Available May 10th at 10am PST (5/10/25)
Due to current events and changes in imports/manufacturing, it is unclear if I will be able to restock these dolls. There are only about 20 dolls available left. Along with regular dolls, I will also be offering "I can fix him" dolls. These one of a kind lads need a little more love and care. Whether it is a missing button or a small sewing error. I think they still deserve some love. More photos to come.
Worried you'll miss the drop? Join our Email List.

Announcing - "Follow the Schedule!" - A Submas 2026 Calendar Project - Interest Check!
"Follow the Schedule!" is a collaborative calendar project I've been preparing for a bit in secret! I'll be running this similarly to a fandom zine, though on a much smaller scale since I'm essentially the only "moderator" for the project.
The calendar will feature illustrations for each month matching the seasonal theme associated. Depending on responses from the interest, the project will also have stretch goals for stationary or printed merch to go along with the calendar!
If you're interested in the project as a supporter or contributor, please look over the FAQ and fill out the interest check at the link below! For any additional questions about the project, feel free to leave notes in the interest check or send an ask!
The interest check will be up from May 5th to May 24th!
Thanks so much for giving this a read, and another for checking the interest check! Hope to hear your thoughts soon!

TRAVEL is our topic for the Object Head Zine 2026 edition! Take a plane to the mountains, sail across the ocean to a different country, take a road trip to grandma's house! Traveling isn't just modes of transportation; it's anything that is usually transported from one location to another. Going to the store is a form of traveling, commuting to work is traveling! ALL submissions will be accepted so long as they follow the guidelines below. Each person has a limit of up to 3 submissions. This will be a DIGITAL ZINE ONLY and will be available free upon completion (donation optional). The guidelines are as followed:
Illustration-quality works in either digital or traditional mediums. Both colour and b/w acceptable; background required. *BG can be as simple as a pattern or colour block! Avoid utilizing a camera to submit your images, please use a scanner.
The default size will be 6″x9″, 300 dpi (1800px x 2700px) but feel free to go larger or smaller, so long as it follows those proportions, within reason. Please work in a vertical format.
For consistency’s sake, keep faces to a minimum (You can have eye(s) or you can have mouth(s) but don’t have both in a humanoid arrangement.
Please go for original characters (or fanart of your friend’s characters).
If you want to include humans, that’s fine as well but keep the ratio of people to object heads 1:1. Same goes for non-travel object heads. If you want to include both travel object heads and humans in your image, make sure the majority goes to travel object heads!
Content should be at most PG-13: Romance is fine but after hours business should not be implied, Blood is fine but no gore. In the end, use your common sense.
Feel free to draw a comic or just an illustration! A comic counts as one submission.
Note that if a submission does not meet the above guidelines, I will either reject your submission or suggest improvements that would help your piece fulfill them. Please email me at objectheadzine(@)hotmail(.)com if you have any further questions and I’ll do my best to reply promptly. If you do not receive a message from me within a few days, please send it again. We’re also available on twitter. Join us as well on the official Object Head Zine discord chat! Click here to be invited into the chat.
Final pieces submitted should be either in PNG or a one layer PSD file format. Also send in your email/website/name you’d like to be credited as. (Feel free to omit emails if that is more comfortable). When you’ve finished your piece(s), you are allowed to post them to your blogs as long as you link back to the zine blog!
SUBMIT YOUR PIECES USING EITHER THE FORM LINKED [HERE] OR EMAILED TO THE OBJECT HEAD ZINE EMAIL (LISTED ABOVE). DO NOT SUBMIT TO BOTH.
Feel free to sign up for the mailing list if you want to keep up with object head zine related updates.
THE DUE DATE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS OCTOBER 8TH.

Q&A Responses on Follow the Schedule! Interest Check
First off, thanks for all the really receptive responses on this idea so far! I was expecting the total number of responses on this would be around this number upon the interest check concluding, so I'm really happy and appreciative that people took a liking to this!
As for the interest check itself, there were some good questions put out there for the project, so I'll be answering some of those here! The more reoccurring ones will also soon be added to the FAQ for future reference.
Q: Will keychains/charms or pins (assuming enamel but I'll include buttons too) be considered for the project stretch goals?
A: Maybe! This is dependent on the current state of tariffs being ??? in America for imports! For anyone who might not be familiar with merch making, most acrylic items and pretty much all enamel pins are produced outside of the US. This would basically mean paying over double or more the cost of production to import said merch depending on the manufacturer I'm working with! Unless the tariffs are dropped by the time the creation period begins, those items will not be included in the project. Button pins are possible for the project if enough interest is gathered, as this is something that can be made in the States and/or will not cost an arm and leg to import if it needs to be ordered from an overseas manufacturer!
---
Q: What's the difference between staple bound and spiral bound calendar mentioned in the interest check?
A: For visual example, the first image shows a spiral bound, the second a staple bound. They both function in a similar way for display, it's mainly a preference of how to flip through pages!

---
Q: For page artists, will there be a prompt list for each month or will it be at artists discretion?
A: Leaning more to artist discretion with approval of their pitch! The artist's final pitch should match up with general themes/events of their chosen month. (ex: April themes could include flowers, springtime, Easter-like imagery, rain, etc).
---
Q: For submitting art for applications, do works have to be Submas related or simply a showcase of skills?
A: It's not required to submit art featuring the Subway Masters, but it's appreciated seeing how an applicant stylizes them! In terms of what I'll be focusing on for showcases, it mainly come down to having a variety of styles in the project, not wholly based on technical skills.
---
Q: If sticker sheets are included, would one artist design the whole sheet or collaborate with other artists? One artist designing a whole sheet could be too much workload!
A: For this project, a sticker sheet will be done by an individual artist if included! Because of the nature of sticker sheets, the size can be easily adjusted depending on what the artist is willing to handle work-load wise. If an artist is confident they can make a standard 5 x 7 inch sheet, they can! If an artist wishes to make something closer to a half sized sheet, they can! Work overload is verboten in any projects I run, so manageability will be prioritized!
---
That's all for the questions from the form right now! For any unanswered questions be sure to leave them on the form or send an ask (sorry that I had to turn off anon, the bots have been knocking down my door in waves).
Also small side note, thanks to everyone who left really sweet comments in the submission notes, you have collectively succeeded in transforming me into a tomato.
Look at what you've done.
(Though seriously, thank you all very much, you've been very kind and I appreciate it.)
