#Rani Choudhury Must Die#adiba jaigirdar#aroaessidhe 2024 reads#sapphic books#this is okay! unfortunately a few things annoyed me……. listen.#after 4 years of design school nothing makes me immediately uninterested in someone’s ideas more than Lets Design An App For It#I also read this RIGHT after going to my uni’s graduate exhibition where there’s always a few of those#but I spent most of the book being like holy shit the ethics????#making an app to detect cheating that goes through social media data & you put on people’s phones without consent…….#the ethical issues DO get discussed closer to the end - but like they pitched it to their teachers in the beginning#and I’d expect it to be brought up then haha. however I can’t say that it’s not realistic for teens to come up with something like that#Meghna was definitely a frustrating character at times - but also teenagers are like that. it’s fine.#I liked the slow mending of their friendship and the romance was sweet in the end (if very much just-in-the-end)#as well as the exploration of diaspora experiences and family expectations.#I did find their original science projects so much more interesting than the silly cheating app.#and hey it seems like they've finally managed to find some bangladeshi-irish audiobook narrators! i remember for her prev books they#had to choose one or the other#oh the other thing is that meghna is supposedly an artist but like. didn't feel like an artist? yknow? idk

should i change my headcanons based upon “i saw it in a dream”
#as far as witcher dreams go this one was extremely mid as i actually woke up from it by going ‘but that doesn’t make any sense’#and i should have done that several times earlier#triss dragging geralt onto this cursed ass cruise ship by feigning illness and then lightly crying about it was the most in character thing#the thing is that in the dream the events of it were being presented ‘to me’ as ‘canon’#as in this was a new book or something a la crossroads so this is part of the lore now#so the thing was that geralt had another company in his 20s but they all died/were cursed/some insanity#one of them (and i only remember this bc it was terrifying for some reason) was turned into a tomcat and they couldnt figure out#how to change him back so they left him with other people and came back like 10 years later#it was like he forgot human life and was also a really old cat so they just allowed him to die as a cat#the other ones were not that interesting i think one was a postmaster who did fisstech and the other was a young mentally deficient girl#who had some powers/was a Source but she got betrayed when triss (yes triss was here) basically abducted geralt#and she took him on a cruise ship and then the game vampires (yeah so this is when i was like ‘what’) showed up#i guess they lived on or were haunting this cruise ship#actually was pretty cool because i got ‘POV lady orianna drinks your blood’ i’m OK with that#however regis and dettlaff showed up and immediately started acting like a monty python sketch or something#they kinda entered swaggeringly to start drinking people and#regis was like ‘ok you go around that side of the room and i’ll go around this side and we’ll take a survey’#and dettlaff was like ‘why drink from all of them to judge the taste just take a few … ‘samples’’#and regis went ‘ohhhhhhhh’ and they had this loud conversation in front of a room of terrified humans#and the dream ended with me basically pausing it and arguing to some other people that this can’t happen because so and so#and i started trying to pull examples/quotes about it#this is the most embarassing and unhinged dream i have had about the witcher i’m going to go hide in a hole now#usually my dreams are some semblance of canon or at least what i like and prefer#dude. regis showed up at the end but his game design. and his outfits were ugly 😭😭😭#the elbow-high diaries#oh but the ONE thing that was kind of cool was seeing how vampires are created#they fall from the sky in stormy weather and are invisible to the human eye and then if they come across another they scream them to death#or not death but dissipation and then they absorb the defeated one’s?? traits or whatever#i kind of like my current idea better but maybe this for like a subset of them or something

Some new art of a very very old oc of mine! From like, when I was an 8th grader in middle school to freshman in high school I think, I haven’t thought about this character or the world she’s from in like… years, but my brain suddenly remembered she existed! And so I drew some art of her!
Visually, she’s absolutely mostly the result of my child self sticking Toko Fukawa from Danganronpa and Peacock from Skullgirls in a blender and lettin it fuckin rip. Personality wise she’s a bit different tho… she’s into politics! As in,,, she’s in politics ghgh, she’s like the chief of the surveillance department for the country of (mostly) witches that the story takes place in. And one of the advisors to the head ruler witch,,, she sucks! Hardcore! she’s def a villain lol

I am now officially a whole two decades old
Everybody congratulate me on my two decades
#venting in tags#every birthday#I remember when I told my sister#when she asked me what I wanted to do for my (thirteenth? I think) birthday#and I said kill myself#I did not want to reach my teens#I was genuinely terrified of getting older#still am#because it meant that I had completely wasted another year#no normal teenage activity’s#no learning to drive#no proms or other dances#no first kiss#I’ve had only one friend since I was around 12 or so that I only talk to every few months#because I started pushing my childhood best friend away because being around her made me insecure and feel like I was immature and stupid#she was the only friend I had and she had so many#I remember feeling horrible for myself at her birthday party’s being surrounded by her school friends#and feeling like I wasn’t real#not a real person not a normal kid#like I was stupid immature and like she only spent time with me out of pity#I still feel most of theses things to be honest and it’s so embarrassing#being around people my age makes me feel so embarrassed#even with people younger then me#I was homeschooled and neglected if it wasn’t obvious#I’m so fucking insecure over everything#and im so embarrassed that I can’t even blame my parents anymore#I’m twenty I should have figured this shit out years ago#but maybe they should have fucking helped me#I’m so fucking embarrassed being alive#I don’t feel like a real person when I’m around other people like I’m walking on eggshells and everyone else is flying or something

#yeah so like the whole trauma of losing a cat so suddenly and quickly has certainly left its mark#she declined so quickly and i can’t get her meows out of my head no matter how hard i try#one of my other cats meowed a few times as she ran for the food which she does A LOT…. but fucking christ my heart dropped#she’s perfectly fine she just wanted food but now my anxiety is back and sitting on my chest and the pit of my stomach lol#i had my first moment this afternoon where i genuinely looked for her before remembering that she’s not going to be there#my :) heart :) hurts :)#the only way out is through#and that’s great and all but i wish it would go faster#i can’t wait until it’s not so raw because it feels fucking grating right now#like someone has my heart squeezed in their hands#sigh sigh sigh i’m so sad and anxious this is so rough ;-:#i’ll delete this later but. i just need to put it somewhere for now.

what if I said I thought Velvette’s body parts connected like the dunmeshi living armour…….
#all of her organs are. inside her resin#and she has to be strung if she wants to be able to Move but she stays together even without string…#I’m thinking maybe her head plate is. Her. that is the only part of her she Can’t replace…#head plate as in. the round plate that comes off that is hidden under her wig#I can’t remember if that piece has another name right now 🙄 whatevaaaaa#anyway any other part of her she can switch out [and she Does every once in a while to combat greening] it just takes a bit for Her to#develop in the new body part… for like maybe a few days she isn’t fully Connected to the new part and perhaps it is kind of numb#and maybe quite uncoordinated… but then the Her develops in there and she becomes Properly connected#she can only replace one part of her body at a time really unless she wants to really have to depend on someone#her faces are Slightly different… I think she cycles through a few regularly because they have different face ups and the makeup she’s put#on each is different… so she is always quite connected to the faces she regularly uses :3#anyway there. that’s my headcanon that’s how I think she works#velvette#hazbin hotel velvette#hazbin velvette#dollposting
