Who on the DnDads Cast Cares About Hermie the Most?

Time to flex the encyclopedic knowledge of season 2 I have collected from all the time I spent on the manga pages to set the record straight. Who cares about Hermie the most other than the fans obviously? (Judged by who remembers him first in any given episode)

Episode 1-3: Hermie did not exist yet. There is no character to be remembered

Episode 4: Hermie is born of Beth’s anagram generator!

Episode 5: Anthony introduces Hermie to the scene in the bathroom

Episode 6: Anthony mentions Hermie when Normal exits the scene with Lark and Sparrow

Episode 7-9: No Hermie (Anthony does mention him in the episode 7 intro/recap, but I’m not giving him a point for that. Hermie has to be in the actual meat of the episode for points to count, any discussion before a scene starts is 0 points)

Episode 10: Anthony reintroduces Hermie at the very end of the episode just before revealing Terry Jr.

Episode 11: Anthony brings Hermie into the Among Us game

Episode 12-13: No Hermie

Episode 14: Anthony brings Hermie through the portal and he finally joins the team in a more permanent capacity

Episode 15: Freddie uses Hermie in combat like he’s Taylor’s familiar

Episode 16: Freddie requests a magic trick from Hermie

Episode 17: Will asks Hermie to flex his acting skills

Episode 18: Will is the first one to insist they need to go save Hermie

Episode 19: Anthony brings Hermie in to comment what a good actor Link is

Episode 20: Freddie has Taylor finger tutting to Hermie (the family tradition)

Episode 21: Freddie asks Hermie to take notes on the building case against Grant Wilson (this episode also introduces the little guy Joker figure)

Episode 22: Anthony actually remembers to put Hermie in the soccer mechanic and the initiative order

Episode 23: Freddie asks ��what about Hermie?” outside of the Church when Anthony is describing how they look like their granddads

Episode 24: Freddie has Taylor fistbump Hermie

Episode 25: Hermie was babysitting everyone’s dads this episode

Episode 26: Hermie is in Anthony’s description of the security footage

Episode 27: Will has Normal give Hermie a smooch on the Pride layer of Hell (except it wasn’t him, so maybe I shouldn’t be giving him a point for this)

Episode 28: Jimmy asks about Hermie right away, maybe I should give Anthony this point because the moment flows pretty directly out of the intro, but I already decided intros don’t count

Episode 29: No Hermie

Out of 19 Hermie appearances, Anthony is the one to remember him most often with 8 of these moments (which is notably less than half), followed by Freddie, who has remembered Hermie first 6 times, and then Will, who is first to remember Hermie 3 times.

More importantly than any of that though, I present to the court further solid evidence that Matt hates Hermie the most, as Matt is the first person to bring up Hermie 0 times

I like imagining a scenario in which Jason, Tim and Damian are arguing about Dick and just keep trying to one-up one another:

Damian: I was his Robin and he clearly likes me best.

Tim: I mean, technically I was his Robin first. And that last statement is debatable (and wrong).

Damian: Tt. You were father's Robin, I was Grayson's only before the original Batman returned.

Jason: Oh, for fucks sake, why does that even matter? He accepted me as Robin first and gave me his old costume, try topping that.

Tim: Been there, done that.

Jason: Not first you haven't.

Tim: Irrelevant. I think being accepted as Robin and being his Robin first puts me above you both.

Damian: Richard made me Robin on his own accord, father's intervention was unrequired.

Tim: Do you think that maybe that was because, I don't know, Bruce was 'dead' at the time?

Damian: I don't see how that refutes my argument, Drake.

Tim: He didn't even want you as Robin, he did it so you didn't go running off to the league.

it's not normative to personally enjoy something, so long as you respect that other people simply arent like you and aren't going to like the same things as you. taking down normativity is a two way street, allos and aspecs need to do it. support your local aros, aces, apls, afams and other aspecs today! remember to challange all normativities, and to not enforce other normativity by saying how bullshit other normativities are!

so on the subject of the "Crowley is secretly Revaan/Laverne/Levin/please Twst give us his name" theory, I think my feelings are best summed up as "I don't really buy it, but it's funny". like, in all seriousness, I'm not opposed to it; I have enjoyed the writing in Twst so far and I'm willing to trust that whatever happens will, you know, make sense and not be terrible. but I'm just not really convinced by the current evidence! maybe that'll change once we learn more, we'll see!

with that said, may I propose a few alternate theories about the possible Crowley/Revaan connection:

Genuinely I think you guys should look into Solarpunk. Like, it’s a dark day in America, and everyone is feeling hopeless. And unfortunately America is a country that literally doesn’t mind its own business and has to be involved with the rest of the world. Mostly in a bad way. But.

I think you need to check out Solarpunk. Yes it’s literary as it’s speculative fiction. Yes it’s an aesthetic. But it’s also a real life movement. It’s activism against the climate crisis. To reverse the effects of our planet. It’s activism for human rights. The right to housing, the right to food, the right to water. Activism for education, health care, child care. To have the choice to have an abortion. It is about banding together with your community, with your fellow humans.

Solarpunk is about feeling rage about everything that is wrong with the world and using it to help fix it. It is about feeling hope that the actions you do will change things for the better, no matter how slow. Organization. Protests. Even something like calling, emailing, writing a letter to the people in your government. Your mayor, your county representative, your state representative and so on. It is about choosing kindness to help people in need. To help people who were once in cults and are taught to be afraid of “outsiders.” To help people when they realize that they were wrong and help them be able to grow. To share food with others, offer a friend a place to stay, join community events.

It is okay to rage. To cry. To scream and feel like the world is burning to the ground. Let yourself feel those emotions. And look at Solarpunk. Use your emotions as fuel to make things better. For yourself and others. To make things a bit kinder. For yourself and others.

honestly i don't think sqq (jiu) would have minded the accusations of preferential treatment from yqy if they'd felt true. like as children he guarded the title of being yue qi's Favorite with teeth and claws. why shouldn't he be given preferential treatment? everyone ought to know just who qi-ge likes and trusts over everyone else. and for good fucking reason--who else here is watching out for qi-ge? as peak lords he's literally 2nd in command and chief tactician, if yqy values his word over yours, then its both what makes most sense and also what he deserves.

the thing is that to sqq, being accused of being favoured by yqy over others now just feels like a sick joke, because obviously (to him) that's not the fucking case. if he actually gave him preferential treatment you'd think he'd listen to what he has to fucking say, instead of believing what anyone else tells him about sqq. you'd think, if he was yqy's favorite, he wouldn't have left him to rot.

so i think, in a setting where they reconcile after becoming peak lords, that sqq would very much slap yqy's love for him in everyones faces as a kind of power move. a kind of, "oh, you thought that was favouritism? you havent seen yet what it looks like when qi-ge lets himself favour someone."

I just saw this video talking about actresses who've had to wear sexualized outfits on film that made them uncomfortable (think Margot Robbie in Suicide Squad) and it brought up an ongoing concern of mine about how films and tv shows are way more explicit now than they've been before. Thinking about how many actresses have been topless or nude on camera when it's totally unnecessary) Like I know Hollywood is experimental and would show sex and nudity in their films, I don't have a problem with that it's just how disproportionate the amount of women vs men who have to be naked and sexualized in film is. It's misogyny, pure and simple. Forcing actresses to put their bodies and sexuality on display for the pleasure of male directors and a male audience. And I hate that you can never point out how many actresses have come out and said that no, they didn't like wearing sexualized outfits on screen, they didn't like going nude/being pressured to go nude, they don't like sex scenes or explicit rape scenes but still anytime anyone mentions this you have to fight puritan allegations because god forbid you question how a notoriously sexualized and objectified marginalized community seems to always be sexualized and objectified in media.
