What Was, What Is, And What Will Be
Last week was a bit of a "Draw some more of Sanne's ( @suekreandtheidiots ) OCs because you love 'em all" kinda week, and this is what came out ot it! 👀😂❤️🔥🫶✨ This was also meant to be a birthday gift, too, but it came a biiiit later than expected, because I severely overestimated my ability to not turn it into a three-piece series pretty much from the very moment I started thinking about it. 🌝🤣
The idiots featured this time are none other than Hallie and Lancie!! 🥹👀💖✨ Aka two HUGE loves of mine, and a top priority on my Idiots-To-Draw list. The feels I had for them grew way too big to be contained, they had to be let out in some way, and this felt like a very appropriate way to do so. This little illustration combo is supposed to portray Hallie and Lancie during some key moments of their arc: their teenage selves, their current day selves, and a little glimpse into their future, 2026 selves. 🥹✨️ I seriously can't get enough of these two and the strong feels they make me feel. Their arc is SUCH a powerful one! There's no surprise in that fact, though. I mean, they are Sanne's characters, after all, and Sanne is a magnificent storyteller, soooo. Strong feels are always to be expected. 👀🫠❤️🔥✨

Not to be that guy, but... hey he/they trans guys, I just wanna ask. Do you use "they" because it feels right... because it clicks as part of your identity... or because it doesn't hurt as much as she/her, so it must be okay.
And don't just evaluate this for they/them. Evaluate it for he/him as well. "I'm a guy so I have to use he/him" no the fuck you do not. Plenty of guys use they/them. Plenty of guys use she/her. Plenty use it/its/ve/vir/ce/cir and are still men. If he/him doesn't fit, you don't fucking have to use he/him and it doesn't make you any less of a man. You know that... right?
Also before this post starts an argument I am not pissing on he/they pronoun users I am simply reminding all you transmascs that there is no obligation binding you to those specific pronouns... a post I needed to see myself.

I got myself a new chair bc the old one wasn’t sparking joy
I got a big gamer chair a few years back, thinking it would be an upgrade from my old broken chair, but it just wasn't for me. It was too tall, made me feel boxed in, the arms also boxed me in, and I never used its fancy extending foot rest or reclining features. Plus, pleather may look sexy but I hated how it felt after a while :(
New chair is much simpler, and most importantly, has a HUGE seat that will hopefully entice a boi to sit with me...!

Lrb dear god, this reminded me of that time when Alfred-chan got sooooo mad at my post explaining why fans should respect bisexual headcanons for Maria and Malenia instead of pretending like they're canonically lesbians and that they get oppressed and erased by mxf ships with them. They kept vagueing that post for like a MONTH in their blog including in tags under reblogs of Maria fanart, passively-aggressively changed their url to character+sexuality to "spite" me and then even made a sockpuppet account to start shit with me in the comments.
They deactivated when me and Val completely obliterated their "you cultivate lesbiphobic following by telling people why they should respect all sexuality headcanons instead of acting cultish or assuming their experiences and stereotypes equal canon confirmation" garbage with actual facts and logic tho but I screenshotted everything fjthfgfj (I learned to document everything the hard way after they've changed the she/they pronouns to they/they pronouns ONLY to accuse me of misgendering, so thank you for making me wiser I guess 😎). Even more vile, as they, a white person, larped as an Arab in that sockpuppet to hold even MORE "privilege" against me in discussion gjtjfh Because for them race, gender or sexuality are just badges of honor and dishonor, they don't see these as traits of actual human beings. And Dr Eugene X, who worked with them and weaponized her race to accuse everyone who disagreed with her of racism, didn't bat an eye at such a terrible act too?? #yugioh#yugioh gx#gx#ygo gx#subbing rambling#going to do a bigger post compiling all these edits when i release the episodes but wanted to show some of it off lol#[and probably a video too]#madman as i am--and love for this show that i have like an ojama--i wanted to give these posters a translation edit#for... all 26 scenes they're in 😳#ofc i'd already done four of them while prepping 121 since they show up in the preview/Just After This clip#it's been fun getting some more AfterEffects use and applying it to this along with Vegas#also extra fun since there isn't a shot where either poster gets a full frontal shot so i've been doing this with partial edits#where i redid custom posters using what i had available and then power-pin them into place in AE#but oh boy was that Premature Burial scene edit fuuuun 🙃#or at least at first--made a proxy thinking i'd have to throw one in but turns out just masking the upper left corner and moving that;#keyframing brightness; masking in shapes for the little squiggles that show on it for a bit; masking in lines to redo the glow lines#and throwing a green screen'd layer made it simpler lol#i just did the Megamorph scene--did what I could with AE's scale motion tracking for the zoom-out that happens so I took two frames#(one for the initial rapid zoom-out and one once the zoom stops)#and just redid the zoom in Vegas with them which was easier#that leaves nine more clips before i work on a couple smaller animation errors i noticed--along with one to strap in for#[burstlady's shoulder strap happened again]#anywho stay tuned lol#[also have been amused with how 4Kids blanked these in some shots which i'll probably point out for funsies in that eventual post]

So I REALLY wish Yugioh Card Lore was a more popular part of the fandom.
Like I just got back into reading up on the Time Thief archetype which has a lot of fun stuff going on with these two pretty boys going back in time to save a girl who creates time travel on the orders of that girl's future self who is also a time-traveler herself.

#on Friday one of my students was like 'are you a swiftie' and i said yes#and this one boy was like i have never heard you mention her#and i gave myself a mental high five for my own restraint#i have really tried to tamp down on that this year because things just get out of hand too fast otherwise#then of course 6th period came around and my defenses were gone and it was Friday and several students were gone#so I spoke on her and what I believed her legacy would be lol#and then I felt really bad about that decision :((((( for some reason#the kids loved it. but that is no sign that it was the right call!#anyway still reflecting#i did love that the student didn't know#i really want to be restrained both in general but especially about Taylor in my professional setting#and just. not be opening myself up to needless barbs about her but also not alienating people?#i HATE alienating people i want to reach all of them and the less I have standing in my way the better#so kind of constantly diffusing what threatens to blow up out of proportion#is like. half of my job#another student asked me immediately afterwards if i liked Kanye and i said gently that i did not know Kanye's music so i couldn't tell him#but like. i'm not getting into it you know? i'm not getting into the Taylor Culture Wars or whatever. Silly Game Time: Who are the protagonists of two stories you really enjoy? (could be from any media: movies, shows, novels, games, comics, etc.) (yes, OCs count) AND which of them is better with animals?
You know what? I’m feeling particularly dragony today, so I’m going with Lady Trent from A Natural History of Dragons, and Princess Cimorene from the Enchanted Forest Chronicles. And though I love Cimorene a lot, and do think she’d be good with animals, Lady Trent wins, as she is a naturalist and has to actively care for and study the dragons she has, as well as the fact that she loved animals when she was younger too, and with all the time she puts into her work I feel like she would have to be good with animals. It’s shown in the books too that she’s overall pretty good with animals, especially the dragons she studies.

It’s kind of set in the past. Also she’s a well written woman. She’s written like a person.#Like she’s actually shown having her period and stuff and being annoyed by it getting in the way of her work and all that.#And she’s really determined and stubborn and smart but sometimes makes dumb decisions in the name of research (as most do)#And then the Enchanted Forest Chronicles. Oh my. It’s a really fun four book series following princess Cimorene#She’s strong and stubborn and smart and does NOT want to be a princess and deal with anyone’s bullshit#So she runs off to go live with dragons and work for one.
