It's been a week now and I am STILL not over them. 🥹 They look perfect, I'm drowning in feels. My babies, my loves, my everything. They are a treat for my sore eyes. ❤️‍🔥 I don't even know how I deserve my friends. This is unreal. I am LIVING. 🫠❤️‍✨

What Was, What Is, And What Will Be
Last week was a bit of a "Draw some more of Sanne's ( @suekreandtheidiots ) OCs because you love 'em all" kinda week, and this is what came out ot it! 👀😂❤️‍🔥🫶✨ This was also meant to be a birthday gift, too, but it came a biiiit later than expected, because I severely overestimated my ability to not turn it into a three-piece series pretty much from the very moment I started thinking about it. 🌝🤣
The idiots featured this time are none other than Hallie and Lancie!! 🥹👀💖✨ Aka two HUGE loves of mine, and a top priority on my Idiots-To-Draw list. The feels I had for them grew way too big to be contained, they had to be let out in some way, and this felt like a very appropriate way to do so. This little illustration combo is supposed to portray Hallie and Lancie during some key moments of their arc: their teenage selves, their current day selves, and a little glimpse into their future, 2026 selves. 🥹✨️ I seriously can't get enough of these two and the strong feels they make me feel. Their arc is SUCH a powerful one! There's no surprise in that fact, though. I mean, they are Sanne's characters, after all, and Sanne is a magnificent storyteller, soooo. Strong feels are always to be expected. 👀🫠❤️‍🔥✨

Meowdy Saint! ^^ What sort of havoc does Teo get into? Like besides smashing taillights.... aka... what am I going to see when Im stalking checking up on him?
✦゜ANSWERED: He's quite literally tied up in your closet right now...... I fear he's not doing much!! /silly
Tumblr media
"Teo, I don't think this is legal..."
"Aw, don't get your panties in a twist, doll." Ignoring your words, Teo easily hoists himself over the chainlink fence and throws a casual look in your direction. "You're the one who said it was getting stuffy in the nightclub. Didn't you want to cool down?"
You glance between Teo and the empty public pool on the other side of the fence. "...I did. But this wasn't what I had in mind."
"No, but it's what I had in mind." Rolling his eyes at your hesitancy towards being rebellious, Teo throws a leg back over the fence once more and jumps off. He lands in his previous spot in the dirt with a grunt and offers you a hand. "C'mere. I'll help you over."
It takes one very large, noticeable moment before your feet start to move. Hesitancy is still thick in the air — and even in the forefront of your mind — but you somehow find it hard to say no to Teo when he's giving you those soft eyes and trademark smirk.
"C'mon. It'll be fine."
"We'll get in trouble." You manage to breathe out before you feel a pair of muscular arms around your waist. There's no time for you to react as Teo wordlessly hoists you over the fence and sits you atop the large steel bar that holds everything in place — before hoisting himself over as well.
However, he doesn't seem to wait for you to join him as the taller male takes a few steps toward the pool to suss everything out. And with a satisfied nod, he finally turns back to face you once more.
"We'll get in trouble?" With a scoff, he crosses his arms over his broad chest — making a point to flex his muscles and cock out his hip. "By who? That broken diving board?"
With an eye roll, you push yourself from the fence and jump down. "I don't know, but the... authorities... or something!"
"Don't see anyone around. Just you and me here, doll."
"W-Well... What about the cameras?" Even with nothing but the moonlight to illuminate your surroundings, you can still make out the shape of something circular in the corner of the main building.
"Oh, yeah. Forgot about those." Teo drawls as he begins to tug off his shirt. "Then we should probably give that lucky security guard a show, huh."
"Are you serious?!" You purposefully look away once he starts to remove his belt buckle. Suddenly, the questionable stain on the concrete was far more interesting than your half-naked companion. "No way!"
The sounds of something metallic hitting the floor ring in your ears before more rustling follows... Until the obnoxious sounds of water splashing everywhere drown out Teo's laughter and the rapid beating of your heart.
"Aw, you feelin' shy?" Teo's teasing lilt can be heard from somewhere within the pool as you fight the urge to look in his direction. "Gonna cry? At least let me see it."
At that, you whip your head and send him a sharp glare. It's your turn now to cross your arms over your chest, but Teo doesn't seem to acknowledge it with the way he dives back into the water and sloshes around without a care in the world.
Admittedly, it did look like he was having fun — and the droplets from all his splashing did feel nice against your bare skin.
But when your silence finally kicks in and makes itself known towards the dark-haired man, he turns to you with a serious expression and ceases his antics.
"If you really don't wanna be here, then I'll drive you home." Teo mentions offhandedly, "But the water's nice 'n cool. You're honestly missing out, dollface."
Not that you'd ever admit it out loud, but Teo did look all sorts of breathtaking as he casually waded through the water. His wet, tanned skin was glistening underneath the moonlight, and it was one of the rare occasions where he'd slick his hair back to give you the perfect view of his grey eyes — which seemed to be staring back at you with an intimate gleam to them.
Choking out a stutter, you try your best to brush it off by perching yourself on the ledge and dipping your feet into the pool.
"People have probably peed in here, y'know." You kick a bit of water in your companion's direction, but he easily brushes it off and splashes you back with his hand. You don't miss the way Teo fully turns his towards you, nor how he seems to be slowly inching his way closer to your spot by the edge of the pool.
"We can do something more indecent in here if you're up for it."
"Teo!" Your voice raises a few octaves, though you don't show any other signs of protest. "Don't you have your own pool, anyway?"
"Aw, where's the fun in that? Don't you wanna experience a new kind of thrill every once in a while?"
"..."
You despised the fact that he was right. Perhaps one of the main reasons you often found yourself drawn to Teo was because of how much excitement he brought into your life. Sometimes, it was nice to break the cycle of monotony... And Teo just so happened to be one of the very few people who could do that for you.
With a resigned sigh, you glance back at Teo and move to take off your shirt.
"See? Knew there was a reason I kept you around." He gives you a genuine smile this time, but you were too preoccupied with discarding your clothing somewhere safe to notice it. "This is why you're more fun than the others."
Teo swims closer to your side now — close enough to rest against the ledge and cage your thighs with his muscular arms. And had you chosen to look down at him, you would've noticed the soft look in his eyes and the faint blush on his cheeks.
"...Thanks for indulging me all the time."

a little scene prompt game to get me writing!
from @eddiesgaymustache : prompt 2 cheddy boogaloo: 10, 📚😁🥂
bonus visuals if you want to know how i picture them [ 1 ] [ 2 ]
[now on ao3]
[📚😁🥂 + cheddy + 10: spooning at night]
“What do you want to be when you grow up?”
Teddy looks up from the glass she’s pouring, blinks at Chuck, blinks again, and says, “What,”
Chuck blinks back at her, stalling out like they’re playing back what they said, before suddenly snorting into their drink and having to hold a hand under their chin to save their shirt from falling victim to rogue rosé.
Teddy watches them fondly, raising her brow and waiting for Chuck to try again.
“No, wait, not like—,” Chuck laughs, waving their hand like they’re clearing the question from the record, “I meant like… when you were little, who did you think you were going to be?”
Teddy shakes her head, endeared, and says faux-wistfully, “I dunno. I think as a kid I always envisioned myself getting to go by Teo when I left home,”
Teo, unfortunately, did not fly. Not only was it deemed too boyish by her mom, but it was also her Abuelo’s nickname of choice—who she was named after, by the way. So it was either nothing or Dora—which, to this day, still makes her feel like she’s breaking out in hives. Teddy came later though, when she ran track in high school. One of the girls she got close with that year called out to her with it during practice, and it just stuck. It’s not Teo, but she’s grown quite fond of it.
At the mention of the name, though, Chuck brightens, straightening up from where they’d been trying to set the bottle and nearly empty glass safely on the floor from the bed, and says, so earnestly it’s almost comical, “I call you Teo!”
Teddy barks out a laugh. Okay. So Chuck is maybe a little deeper into the bottle of rosé than she is. She just nods, acquiescing, “You sure do, rockstar,”
Chuck just tips their head—followed by their torso—to the side like it weighs too much, grinning from ear to ear. They end up toppling down the rest of the way, the side of their face smushed into the pillow at Teddy’s hip.
They grin up at Teddy, body folded awkwardly but looking pleased as punch about it, before scrunching up their nose and saying, “Okay, for real this time. What did little Teodora Vásquez want to be when she grew up?”
Teddy makes a face, and flicks Chuck’s forehead, “Don’t government-name me, you ass,”
Laughter bubbles up from their chest, followed by a snort that should really be unflattering, but somehow never is.
“Dunno,” Teddy eventually sighs, wine-heavy in her own way, absently curling her finger through an errant lock of Chuck’s hair, “I think I always thought I’d be a doctor or something like that. Something helpful,”
Chuck’s eyes, glazed and unfocused with alcohol, go wide and adoring, “You are. You are helpful,”
Teddy hums on a smile. Takes a prolonged sip from her glass.
“And! You’ll be even more helpful once you pass your paramedic cert next month,” they add, conspiratorially, nodding over at the textbooks that Teddy abandoned on the nightstand earlier in the evening, like it’s a sure thing. Their confidence always makes Teddy’s heart feel warm and full, “and that’s like, basically a doctor, right? Look at you! Growing up to be the thing you wanted,”
“Yeah, I guess so,” Teddy snorts, then sighs. It is a thought she’s had in the past. That maybe all the time she spent in and out of hospitals growing up would actually land her somewhere good. Somewhere useful. Worthwhile.
“You’re the coolest,” Chuck adds, one uncoordinated finger coming up to poke Teddy in the chin.
Or maybe it just landed her here, who-knows-how-many glasses of wine deep into Chuck’s mattress, during a 48-off. Heavy, slow. Happy.
Maybe, somehow, it’s the same thing.
“Yeah yeah, says the Wunderkind,” Teddy laughs, swatting the hand out of her face before she finally wiggles her way to slide down further against the headboard, getting settled with her cheek in hand and elbow propped up on the pillow next to Chuck, looking down at them, “What about you, huh? What did the little cherub-faced Beverly Charlton want to be when they grew up?”
Between one breath and the next, Chuck gets a faraway look in their eye—almost like they weren’t expecting to have their own question sent back around. Knowing them, they maybe weren’t.
Teddy watches their lashes flutter, something somber pulling across their face like a wave. For a moment, she’s worried she shouldn’t have pulled the full name out, even in jest—but then Chuck is swallowing harshly and taking a breath.
Their eyes stay trained on the ceiling past Teddy’s head when they say, “Loved, I think,”
Teddy feels her own expression collapse, a wounded sound in her throat.
Then, with a with a gasp of a breath through their nose, it’s like Chuck comes back to themself; sitting upright so suddenly they almost collide with Teddy.
Chuckling awkwardly, they clear their throat, “Sorry, sorry, that wasn’t—I didn’t mean… um. Didn’t mean for that to sound so pathetic,”
Teddy doesn’t like that Chuck’s back is to her.
“Chuck,” she says.
Chuck hesitates for a moment before peering sheepishly back over their shoulder.
Teddy gives her best pleading eyes and pout, sets her glass on the nightstand with her coursework, and just reaches her newly freed hand out to Chuck, wiggling her fingers for good measure.
Chuck looks a little watery, but it seems like that’s all the permission they need before they’re collapsing back down at Teddy’s side, letting her arrange the two of them however she pleases.
They’ve done this enough over the years for it to not be too odd, as long as she doesn’t think about it too hard. How much she likes having Chuck close like this. How Chuck lets her, every time. So Teddy tucks them together, back to chest, arms wrapped around Chuck’s middle. Reaches over them to fumble with the lamp to turn out one of the two dim lights they’d had on, and settles.
They lay quietly for a while, just breathing, before Teddy finds the courage to murmur, sleepy and slow to the back of Chuck’s neck, “You did too,”
A beat of quiet. Then Chuck hums in question.
“You said I grew up to be the thing I wanted to be as a kid,” Teddy mumbles, teetering on the edge of sleep, “You did too,”
Chuck doesn’t say anything else, but Teddy feels the sniffle in their chest, and she doesn’t say anything either. Just squeezes a little tighter, and lets sleep come for them both.

Taken (Part 2/5)
Tumblr media
Sorry if Ren is ooc, the characters and above image belong to @14dayswithyou
Summary: Angel deals with the aftermath of their realization
2.4k words
14 Days With You is an 18+ Yandere Visual Novel. MINORS DNI
*Beep*               *Beep*                *Beep*                *Beep*                *Beep*
The incessant noise slowly slipped into my dreams, leading me back to a state of consciousness against my will. My eyes slowly open to greet the world after a few minutes of lying in denial. I look around, taking in the sterile white surroundings before turning my attention to the thin sheet covering my paper hospital gown. Great. This is all I get for modesty? I shift, trying to regain feeling in my limbs.
I instantly regret this as shooting pain runs across my hip and I recall the events of… whenever it was now. I notice a blood transfusion bag to my side and reluctantly follow the tube down to where a needle digs into the inside of my elbow. I laugh at the thought of acting like a main character: ripping it out and staggering down the halls of the hospital, but I don’t.
My noise must’ve alerted a nurse as one immediately pops into my room to check my vitals, explaining the medical and paperwork situation afterwards. Luckily, I didn’t have to stay for long since the slash didn’t hit any vital organs or arteries, and it was already stitched and bandaged. I have my phone and clothes returned to me, as is policy.
Right before the nurse left, he asked a question I wasn’t prepared for, “Is there anyone you would like to contact? You can use the hospital phone as yours is dead.”
I pause, my mind flashing to Ren, and then back to the figure in the alleyway. I didn’t want to face him yet, but I didn’t have any other family that I wanted knowing about my vulnerable state.
I shake my head, but then another thought pops in my head, a conversation I had a long time ago, and I stop the nurse, “Wait, actually…”
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I slightly regret my decision as an out-of-breath Conan is let into my room, “Sorry I took so long, the babysitter took longer than expected to arrive.”
I sigh, “Conan… I told you that you didn’t have to come, I just figured someone should know what happened.”
He settles in a nearby chair, “Nonsense, that’s exactly why I gave you my number, I wouldn’t just leave you alone. I’m sure you went through an incredibly harrowing experience... Do you want to tell me about it?”
I subconsciously gnaw on my lip, unsure of how much I wanted to tell my boss. But with Ren no longer an option, and after my falling out with Leon, I don’t really have any better choice. And I realize I do want to tell someone, whether to be reassured or just to get it off my chest, I wasn’t sure. So I told him everything, from me going to a bar with Jae and Teo, losing track of them, realizing my phone was dead, getting hit on, trying to escape, then everything that happened in the alley. Everything except for my suspicions of the second person’s identity.
After I finished, Conan shakes his head, “That’s absolutely horrific, I can only imagine how you felt, I’m so sorry you had to experience that.”
I shrug and say in a funny accent, “It is what it is.”
Conan seems thrown, “…Was that a meme?”
I grimace, “Yeah, sorry. If you don’t laugh you’ll cry.”
I laugh at Conan’s bemused face and repeat, “Sorry.”
He shakes his head, “It’s alright, I just don’t quite understand.”
I chuckle again, “Yeah, I know, thank you for letting me rant though.”
He nods, “Of course. Is there anything else I can do for you?”
I shrug, “I don’t think so, you’ve done plenty already... Actually, if I ordered us some food, would you be willing to bring it up for me?”
Conan replies, “Oh you don’t need to get me anything, but I can definitely pick something up for you.”
I shake my head, “No, you’re here, I’m gonna get you lunch. What do you want?”
After much prodding I get him to cave and choose a sandwich place to get lunch from, so I order our food plus a cookie for Alice. We chat in the meantime, which was honestly so helpful. I never had much opportunity to talk to him casually, and seeing him light up when he talked about Alice or the library was so heartwarming. I can’t help but wonder how different my life could have been if he was my father instead…
Later, we get our food and eat together, a strangely average thing to do after something so dramatic happened to me just last night. I really do appreciate him coming to bring a sense of normalcy to the situation, and comfort during my mental turmoil. But eventually the time comes for him to leave.
He stands, grabbing the trash from our meal and throwing it out before picking up his bag and heading to the door.
I call after him, “Tell Alice I said hello!”
He nods, and then startles, “Oh I almost forgot my charger, is your phone fully charged yet?”
My eyes widen and dart to the phone on the table next to my bed, “What?” Sure enough, I see my phone plugged into the wall, to my horror.
Conan questions, “Are you alright? I brought a charger since you had said it was dead, I plugged it in when I got here, sorry I should have checked with you.”
I force a smile and shake my head, “Oh no worries, it’s alright, thanks Conan.”
I return his charger before he heads out. I now am left alone, staring at the dark screen of my phone with dread overwhelming me in waves. I turn it on, watching the developer logos flash through before I unlock it. As I suspected, I had 38 unread messages from Ren and 14 missed calls.
I expand the notification bar and scroll through the message previews.
“>///< I don’t mean to bother you, but you’v…”
“^^; Are you okay? You haven’t responded i…”
“Angel, I’m starting to get worried, where di…”
“Angel please respond, I’m getting scared :(”
I sigh, turning my phone off again and trying to figure out what to do. If that really was him last night, what else did I not know about him? Is that not the first person he’s killed? What would he do to me if he knew that I knew? But maybe I’m overreacting and it wasn’t him, I mean, there must be more than one 6’5” pale pink-haired man with a ring that size in Corland Bay, right? And his eyes were different. Different color, but same adoring gaze. A far cry from the cold, twisted expression he held when he killed that man.
I shake my head, clearing it, I’ll make that a tomorrow me problem.
A nurse knocks on my door before opening it and sticking her head inside, “Hello! Sorry to bother you, there’s a… man, requesting to see you? Ren? Would you like us to let him in?”
I shake my head vehemently, “No! Please, sorry, I’d really rather not.”
She reassures me, “No worries, hun, we’ll make sure you don’t have to see anyone you don’t want to. Everyone needs explicit permission to be brought in.”
I give her a weak smile, “Thank you…”
She nods and leaves me to my own devices again. I open duolingo, making sure I keep my streak before opening random games on my phone and trying to play to pass the time, but Ren’s incessant messages and calls make it almost impossible. So I put it down and let my thoughts take over as I stare at the ceiling, only interrupted by a few check-ins and changing of bandages.
Finally, I had my last check-in for the night at 10pm, at which point I tried to go to sleep. But only five minutes after the nurse had left, the door slides open. I assume they had forgotten something and returned, but instead a tall man with pink hair walks in.
I shoot upright in the bed, straining my stitches and causing pain to flare up my side. I lay back down with a groan as Ren rushes to my side, “Angel! Are you okay? You weren’t answering my calls, I- I didn’t know what to do. I saw it on the news and had to call all of the hospitals in the area to find out where you were. I- Why- why didn’t you tell me?” He’s near tears as he sits as close as he possibly can to the bed, clinging onto my hand desperately.
I can’t help but feel bad, how could I possibly assume this sweet human is the same as the murderer last night? But the similarities never leave my mind, nor does the shaking in my hands as I avoid his inquiring gaze.
I open and close my mouth, struggling to find an explanation for my behavior other than the truth. Eventually, I say, “I- I’m sorry Ren, I didn’t want you to worry.”
His eyebrows furrow incredulously, “You didn’t want me to worry?! Angel, what do you think I’ve been doing since you left?”
I respond in almost a whisper, “Sorry, I… didn’t want you to see me like this. I knew you would come if I told you about it. But- how did you even get in? The nurse didn’t tell me you were coming.” I finally meet his eyes, carefully keeping the challenge out of my gaze, but wanting to see his reaction.
He blinks, “I asked for you by name since I didn’t know the room number, the receptionist told me where to go.”
I press on, “But the nurse said I would have to give permission to the staff if someone came?”
Ren scratches at his jaw uncomfortably, “A- Ah, well I was kinda panicking when I came in, I guess she figured it would be okay since I clearly already knew you.”
I look down again, “Oh… well… thanks for checking in on me. I’ll be fine, really. They said they could probably discharge me by tomorrow morning, just some routine checks to make sure I’m alright for now. Conan already… he said I didn’t have to come in on Monday.” I mentally slap myself, why would I tell him that I was free? At least I covered up that Conan had actually given me a week off and said I could take as much time as I needed as long as I let him know in advance.
Ren recoils, “Only Monday?! Is he insane!? You- you just got stabbed!”
I regret saying anything and try to steer the conversation away, “Yeah, I uh, I can talk to him later, I’m sure he could give me more time. But anyway, have you eaten dinner yet?”
Ren picks at his sleeve, “Yeah, sure, I got something on the way here.”
I squint, not believing him, but not wanting to address it, “Aren’t visitation hours over?”
He pouts at me, tears welling in his eyes again, “Do- do you not want me here Angel? I’m sorry, did I do something wrong? I should have been there last night, I’m sorry.”
I shake my head, feeling guilt well up, “No, no, that’s not it I just- I’m sorry, you didn’t do anything wrong, don’t cry please.” I recover my senses, wait no- this is what he wants, he keeps deflecting.
Ren buries his face in my stomach, carefully wrapping his arms around my torso with his shoulders still shaking, “I’m sorry, I- I was just so- so worried.”
I pat his head, “It’s alright Ren, I’m fine, I promise. You should go now, I’ll see you tomorrow when I’m discharged okay?”
He looks up at me, “When you’re discharged? How will that- how much will that cost? I’ll pay however much, just tell me!”
I shake my head uncomfortably, “No, that’s okay Ren, I can afford it, it’s not that much, especially with insurance.” Another lie, the total came out to around $14,000, though with insurance I only had to cover around $2,000 (most of which was those damn ambulance fees). Still far more than I could easily afford, but I don’t want to be financially dependent on Ren, especially now.
He tilts his head, “Are you sure? It won’t be any problem, I swear! Here, let me just send you the money right now.”
He pulls out his phone to do just that, but I put a hand over it, “No, Ren, I’m serious, it’s fine. Go home, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
He looks at me like a kicked puppy - it really wasn’t fair how cute he was given my suspicions - “Angel… why are you trying to send me away? I’ll do anything to make it up to you, really! Just tell me what to do and I’ll do it. I’ll pay the bill, I can pay for everything, you could quit your job if you wanted to! I can get you food, or get my laptop and we could watch movies? Please, anything, I swear.”
I hold his face, pulling it closer to my own, “Ren. The best thing you can do right now is go home. Rest up, and I’ll let you know what to do tomorrow, okay?” I try desperately to keep my voice even as I look into his eyes, seeing exactly what I feared.
He leans into my touch, still looking at me with watery eyes, “…Are you sure?”
I nod, forcing a smile, “I’m sure. 愛してるよ .” (extremely dramatic form of 'I love you,' usually only used in fiction)
Ren’s face immediately flushes red and his eyes widen, almost sparkling, before falling into a bemused expression, “That was really pretty. Japanese, right? What did that mean?”
I shake my head, smiling, “Don’t worry about it, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
He hesitantly accepts, heading to the doorway while looking at me, “Alright, call me if anything happens?”
I nod, but he insists, “Promise?”
I look away, crossing my fingers under the blanket like a guilty child, “Promise.”
Once he leaves, I drop my head into my hands. Fuck. It really was him.
He had understood what I said, though he hid it well. But what really sealed my resolve was when I looked closely at his eyes. He was wearing light blue contacts, with concealer caked over eyebags.
How had I never noticed before? I was usually so aware of eye color. The more I thought about it the more certain I was. All of the little things at the beginning of the relationship that didn’t line up. His inconsistent personality, how he seemed to know things before I ever told him, even how he got into my room. But I didn’t have time to bemoan my ignorance, I had to make a plan. After all, I only had until tomorrow morning.

RYKTER: Fredrik Johnsen from Erdal becomes part of the boy gang in the NRK series "Rykter". By: Yngve Johnson
Fredrik Johnsen becomes a TV celebrity
Fredrik Johnsen (19) from Erdal can be found in the next two seasons of the popular NRK series Rykter. - “A little attention suits me well”, he laughs.

Those who know Fredrik Johnsen know that he is a sparkling young fellow, and that he is someone who loves to do things that cause a bit of buzz.
“I think it's fun with things that create engangement and attention”, he admits.
Seasons three and four
The popular series "Rykter" premiered two years ago, and now seasons three and four have been recorded, with Fredrik Johnsen in one of the roles in the boy gang. The series premieres on August 19.
“It's really cool”, admits Johnsen.
He explains that in the first two seasons there were four main roles, while in the next two seasons there will be a larger part of the gang who will be more involved in the stories.
"Rykter" is a youth series about friendship, boyfriends and girlfriends, social media and growing up on the outskirts of Norway, in a place where everyone knows everyone.
Johnsen will play a happy and nosy boy who comes up with a lot of nonsense. He really just wants to be a good friend to everyone.
“He is a guy who is not particularly fond of arguing and discussions, simply a bit shy of conflict”, says the 19-year-old from Erdal.
Tumblr media
WINTER SCENE: The action in the series "Rykter" takes place in a village in Western Norway. Here is Fredrik as "Øyvind" in one of the scenes.
Random
“But there is a lot going on around this group of boys. I am not allowed to say much about what it will be about”, he emphasizes.
“I can say that my character's name is Øyvind”, he nods.
“How did you get this role then?”
“It was very random. They posted something on Facebook that they were looking for people. And there were several people who shared it with me and said I should apply. Some were probably just fooling around too”, he laughs.
“But I submitted an application, and a little later they called me and asked if I could submit a new application. I did, then it was only a few hours before they called and said I had got the job”, he smiles.
Tumblr media
TEO: Fredrik has gotten to know the other famous actors in "Rykter". Teo (left) is one of the main actors, and also an artist.
Very fun
Johnsen breezed through the audition. Straight into the acting job.
“Of course I was very happy. This is a lot of fun, and there is something in this vein that I would like to do in the future”, he says, adding that it is uncertain whether exactly he wants to become an actor.
“Something involving TV anyway”, he says.
Fredrik Johnsen has many followers on his Tik Tok account, with over 8,100 and counting. He will probably gain more when he becomes a TV celebrity.
“Now first I'm going on holiday, and then I'm going into the military, so I'll have to hope there's a bit of "fame" left when I return”, he laughs.
“I think it will be good. I am pleased”
-Fredrik Johnson
So there are two seasons that have been recorded now. It has been a lot of work for Johnsen.
“We started recording in September last year, and continued until March this year. There have been many long days with a lot of information, which means that I have had to be locked in the whole time. I went to school and had a job at a store at the same time, so it has been tiring at times”, he admits.
Has many lines
The series was recorded in Telavåg, at Sund upper secondary school, a bit in the city center, and some locations around the Bergen region.
“Do you have many lines?”
“Yes, there is quite a script, so there was a bit of practice involved. But it has gone well. I also liked that we could also be spontaneous, and that as long as the main essence of the plot was there, we were allowed to play a bit with the script.
Johnsen has seen some of the finished material.
“I think it will be good. I am satisfied”, he asserts.

The Ssum - My diary with Harry Choi.
⚠️⚠️Spoilers ahead⚠️⚠️
First it was cloudy.
We got to know each other. My feelings for you were nothing more than love-hate relationship. I could not even put up with you and you were so annoying. but funny in a way.
30 days after knowing each other i still didn't feel like falling in love with you. But i kept playing and tagging on with your adventures.
Then it was burny. My heart started to skip beats around you. you were a bit mean at the beginning trying to scare me. you did scare me. TT that painting now is haunting my nightmares.
You decided to have a tattoo. I chose the moon. Because of my love for the moon. Because of the ever changing moon. The one that can help the tide rise even though she's far away. Because of my love for sailor moon. and because of Selene and the legend of prince Endymion.
Tbh i didn't even think through. all i thought was, i want you to have something that reminds you of me on your skin. i want you. i want to mark you as mine. but.... ohhh... i should have seen it coming. day 44. lol
TBH still don't love you. just.... not yet. i don't think i ever realized of my own feelings.
Other things happened and i was more focused on Teo than thinking about you. I wanted to know more about Zen's life too.
2 months into you and I just keep thinking to myself that we're good friends now.
Then Pi planet came.
You learned to apologize. Sincerely. And i didn't even force you.... but that day was.... very special to me. I started to like you. For real.
You put on cat ears. You went to the amusement park for me. And took the longest and fullest line just to ride on my favorite rollercoaster. You liked it. You liked my suggestions. You didn't enjoy the people, but you liked my suggestions. you ate what i picked for you too.
It was quite fun. we are 62 days into.
Day 68. i realized your heart belongs to someone else. i don't know why but i cried.
I realized that it's never gonna be me. i decided to not pursue you.
You talked about miracles happening. i'm confused but i will keep following you around. quietly. i don't want my feelings to be a burden to you. actually~ sincce the day you rejected me... i never ever said anything else about it. i hope you notice that at least. i think i'm accepting being a second character here.... even though i yearn for love. more specifically, your love.
Day 71. my heart skipped a big one this time. I saw you and myself under a different light. you told me i should be selfish. that i'm way too kind. i just wanted to let you sleep.
i blinked through tears again. my father has been calling me selfish and ungrateful since i was a baby/toddler. i never realized i could be called kind and selfless. i'm shaking. and you kind of cured a big scar for me. i think i'm falling for you.
Day 79. you decided to start baking. and we talked. and talked. and talked.
Day 80. you're behaving a bit different today.... why don't you want to let me go? lolol it's fun but i have other things to do... i was confused that day.
Dayy 85. you protected our carrots. i'm definitely falling for you... i can't help it. i can't help myself.
Day 87. ..... my heart is a big mess. there's an angel. he said you're gonna break my heart. i.... i received a call from your future you. you hate me so much.... i've been shaking and crying for three days now. all the time. i barely eat. and now i cannot and i don't want to get close... just being around you makes me shiver.
makes my heart break into pieces.. i can't breathe. i never realized how painful it was. no one ever said that they hated me.
I guess i'm lucky... lucky because i've been living my whole life through and people around love me. like really love me. going to extremes sometimes. but they love me.
I.... want to apologize to everyone i have ever hurt by saying that i hated them or despised them. i want to hug them. and sincerely say that i'm sorry. i don't think anyone deserves to be hated. it's so painful it crushes you.
Day 89. i've been quite distant. you're noticing it.
Day 90.... that was flirting. i'm quite sure you were flirting. why!? you don't like me.... not in a romantic way... i don't understand... but made my heart skip a beat again. you made me blush. and somehow i feel like, maybe? maybe i can~ maybe i have you. the present you. and maybe i can change the future? maybe? maybe you won't hate me~? i'm confused and i step out a bit. i'm crying again but i feel lighter. i have hope now.
Day 93 and 94. you're gorgeous. and you're enjoying and i'm enjoying. tain is noisy but it's fun lol
Day 95. i remember the pinapple i chosenthe other day. again. for you. another tattoo... it's heart melting....
Day 97... is it today? i learned some spoilers by accident. my heart is trying to pull it off... it wasn't. i'm happy....
Day 100 and 101..
You confessed.... you confessed you didn't want me to go away. you want to live with me. And you want to live under my constellation. And you were quite romantic about it. i had the perfect opportunity to say that i love you. i didn't. i just enjoyed the moment. i was a bit afraid to say it first. you just said you like me. can i just enjoy that? yeah it's enough. you don't hate me. you like me. and me above else it's gonna live with you. my heart is skipping a lot of beats today. and i'm blushing. i might enter into cardiac arrest lololol
uhhh my constellation~? *looking into it because doesn't know my own constellation lol* Harry seems to know me better than i do sometimes
i tried to call you honey. it only made everything awkward. i myself didn't feel like, i want to call you that. we're not like that. it felt off and fake. yeah, let's not.
Day 103... you love to feed me don't you? lol pls stop because if i get fatter it'll be all your fault.
i love how much effort you put into it all tho
Day 105... i'm getting jealous and highly suspicious of everyone around you who (~Lover, Taylor Swift) you're so hot and gorgeous.... i love you so much...
Day 106... oh~
i wasn't prepared. i ended up crying. i was stuck in my house and carrying water and i got wet and there was a huge mess. and it's been a couple of bad days for me but you have a way to make them good. today was not the case. my heart is~ not feeling well..
I ended up crying. and i'm not sure why but i think i'm gonna cry a lot tomorrow too...
tomorrow is my birthday... but you're going to ruin it. don't you?
i don't want to enter. i want to avoid you all along. but it's my birthday. i want you to say something to me...
So i enter. knowing it's gonna be a lot of drama. *sighs* i made a playlist about you. it doesn't end in a happy note though.
♡~Birthday call~♡... I joked about it you know? I never actually expected of you to say it. But my heart skipped about a mile when you said I love you.
You asked me to wish upon something. I don't think I have something to wish for... maybe because we're in a different universe. But if I had a wish... I wish... I wish for~
Day 107: I tried to be angry. I tried to be jealous. I couldn't. You said you wanted to hug me and that you found the whole situation disheartening. That calmed me in a way I never thought it'd be possible. I usually get angrier when things go south. And no one is able to calm me. You just did it. I have you. It's all that matters. I won't be bothered by that. I love you. Finally my heart can have some peace.
"I don't want people to get curious about you" Is he that jealous~? lol I can't say if he's jealous or not.... maybe protective of me? uhmmm the other reason would be too painful....
Tumblr media
☆ I'm editing this through the whole journey. Just not often. Because I can rant a lot sometimes and I want this to be just the most important and noteworthy things I experienced through.☆

Piofiore: Episodio 1926 Part 4 - Yang Route
Tumblr media
Time for my favourite man, Yang!! Honestly, just seeing Fei and Lan already makes me love this route, they're so cute. And trust them to make me crave yumcha now because they're talking about siu mai and other food🥲 Lmao when Yang was saying how they didn't need to worry about the Falzone even if there's a new boss, and Lili was like are you sure, and then Yang's like, so you think we should kill them while we still have a chance, as expected of my woman🤣🤣🤣 Yang putting his head on Lili's shoulder as he reads Moby Dick is very cute hahaha. Rui isn't as hot as Yuan but he does seem quite interesting! Lol, I kinda feel sorry for Rui that he's stuck between two crazy people (Yang and Yuan). I was so scared for Lili when Yuan started strangling her! She's already struggling with her feelings wondering if Yang would just dump her one day if he gets bored of her and now this guy is coming around ready to just kill her. But yeah, Yuan is definitely like Yang back in the day, ruthless with no care for anyone, or I guess we should say Yang back in the day was just like Yuan.
Tumblr media
I'm so glad the twins exist, I love how protective they are of Lili and how much they care for her, so cute. I wonder what's Rui's problem with Lili though. I was so scared that the twins would die, I'm so glad they didn't, it was so sweet how they were willing to give up their lives to protect Lili. I wonder why Orlok attacked Lili though... Does the church want another key maiden? But Dante and Nicola are dead... Anyway, I felt so bad for the twins that they felt so frustrated at being helpless against Orlok. I'm glad Lili told the twins that their existence is what saved her when she first came to the Lao Shu because it's so true, both Lan and Fei are so important to me as well, and a big reason as to why I love Yang's route. Teo the annoying guy has appeared again🥲 Trust him to use Josef as a hostage to make Orlok do his bidding. I quite enjoy how Lili is having it quite rough thinking and balancing her moral compass alongside living with the Lao Shu who live upon people's deaths and misfortune in a much more obvious way than the Falzone and them do. I always thought she was quite accepting of how terrible Yang and his guys were so it's nice to see her troubled over it and thinking about whether she can really continue to stay here living off the pain of others. Wow, Yuan killed Rui's whole family just because he needed a place to live and he keeps doing stuff like that wherever he goes? What a crazy guy. I don't know how Rui feels having to follow the guy who killed his family.. Rui and the twins hanging out eating sweets is cute lol. On the other hand, Yang's childhood is something to be expected I guess, other than the fact that Yang killed the human trafficker (who was actually Yuan's dad) who beat him and other kids all the time. I didn't expect the extent to which Yuan was involved in Yang's life, to actually be the one who raised Yang and taught him everything.
Tumblr media
Even though Yuan is probably a terrible monster, I can see why he's disappointed with what Yang has "become" because of Lili's influence. So cute how Rui likes food just as much as the twins and lol at Yang knowing his favourite food and how he enjoys his food. I'm so glad Lili finally gave Rui a piece of her mind because he has been very rude to her and she's been way too tolerant towards him. I love how Lili remembered the self-defence tips she learnt from Fei and Lan, and also remembered the stuff Yang told her about Orlok, which helped her and Rui escape from Orlok's attack. So glad to see Rui respect her more but still be like a tsundere about it lmao. Btw, it was so funny how Fei and Lan felt like they were dying because they ate too much lol, they're so dramatic it's hilarious. Anyway, I'm so used to Yang talking shit that when Lili agreed with Lan and said she was going home, I was like what are they angry about?? Hahaha. I didn't expect Yang to apologise though, he really has become a real softie towards her. Even though I did feel like it was random, I think it goes to show that Lili is starting to notice and feel like she can express her feelings for and to Yang much more than before, mainly because he's much kinder and less likely to murder her now lol. I loled when Rui asked if he could finish his report after they got home in the evening, poor dude just wanted to give his report and had to wait hours for them to make up with each other haha.
Tumblr media
So happy to see Rui apologise to Lili for treating her like crap before because he thought she was just a freeloader who didn't do anything but look pretty. I feel so bad for Orlok in this route. He's being tormented by his desire to not hurt innocent people alongside his desire to protect Josef. Teo is really such a shit😠 I didn't realise how much Rui's family getting killed in front of him by Yuan affected Rui. It seems like he really does want revenge on Yuan. I definitely prefer Rui over Lee haha. It's actually really cute seeing how considerate and kind Rui is towards Lili now. I'm surprised Yang could be poisoned, I guess I'm too used to Yang being like a monster hahaha. Lili taking the initiative and kissing Yang deeply was such a good moment. One thing I have to say is though, even though Yang should have the best bed scenes, there's no CGs or much description at all, I'm so sad! Where's the passion and excitement from the original route?! Anyway, Rui telling Lili that he initially hated her because he thought she was just like him, following someone he was forced to follow because he needed to survive, just made my heart break. His genuine and heartfelt apology to her made me see him in a much better light.
Not that I think Josef could really run that far even if he left with Emilio but STILL! His reasons, like dudeee, do you not recognise the pain Orlok is going through trying to save you? Why are you making Orlok have to fulfil a mission he doesn't want to do and kill people he doesn't want to kill?? Seeing Orlok die was so saddening. It felt terrible. As for Yuan dying so "easily" was quite disappointing because I quite like how much of a nut he is. He's like an older and more ruthless Yang if he never met Lili I guess lol. At least Rui can be happy. As for the bad ending, seeing Yang protect Lili so much and die for her is quite sweet considering how his original bad ending was haha. Personally though, I prefer the bad ending in the original game, I guess I'm not used to Yang being so kind, and even though in real life you would probably want the Yang that he has become now, I personally prefer the Yang in the first game because he gave a nice balance of sweetness and craziness lol.
Tumblr media
Overall, I did like Yang's route but I definitely didn't enjoy it as much as his original route and I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected to. The good stuff about this route are definitely Rui, Yuan and the twins. The twins always make Yang's route a highlight haha, but adding Rui in made it even better. I really liked how he changed from his initial crappy attitude towards Lili to this genuine and heartfelt guy that apologised for his mistakes and assumptions. He had better character development than Yang haha! Yuan was cool too but I feel like he was kinda wasted because I don't feel like Yuan ever really did anything other than be the unpredictable crazy guy. As for Yang, I enjoyed the sweet and kind him that always took Lili's thoughts and feelings into consideration, and was sweet enough to actually apologise to her when he was wrong. He has really grown to care for Lili and you can really tell with this sequel. The only thing that was missing from this sequel was more sexy scenes haha! I feel like there was none! Anyway, in terms of Orlok, I felt bad for him in this route and it really sucked that we didn't get to get rid of Teo when he was basically ruining everyone's lives but oh well I guess. Anyway, nice route if you want a kind Yang, but I thought he was a bit too nice so I don't love the route but it's not bad I guess.

Well, technically she cheated too. They are both cheaters. It’s just she acts like it was a small mishap on her way to “true love”. The kind of true love apparently only she sees and feels because Alex certainly isn’t on the same page. I guess she can’t admit how fucked up all this is and keeps going until it all falls apart like a house of cards. She’s going down with the ship like the captain // her relationship with Teo and cheating on him was probably the “don’t let your boyfriend stop you from finding your husband” lmao. She can’t be alone (financially) so she had him while she was dreaming of her rockstar crush. She’s either so used to being treated like this because she never went for true love and only chose to be with someone who would “sponsor” her or she had real partners and now with this situationship, deep down she recognizes that it ain’t how it should be (lol see what I did there) but she doesn’t want to leave because, well obviously financial matters and also the attention it brings her. She either was really in love with him or just wanted the girlfriend status (I’d say the latter) and she’ll cling to it as long as she can. I’d say even if they break up as long as he’s not seen with the new girl she’ll keep the hinting so everyone would think they’re still together
Yep, she’s already shown her desperate side so she’ll follow this through till the end.

Fight for me 🤍
Part 1.
Fight, Fight, Fight that's all my husband and I have been doing for months. Joe and I have been married for almost 10 years, in that time we had arguments but never as bad as it's been the last year. We've been separated for about 5 months now and have made zero progress. As much as it kills me to say it, I think it's best if we get  a divorce.
Joe was on his way to bring our kids back for a weekend with him. I waited on the porch until I saw his car pull up. Our two girls get out of the car running to me while he gets our son out of the car seat.
"Mama, I missed you"  our youngest daughter Karsyn smiles running into my arms.
" I missed you too my sweet baby" I kiss her head
"Teo is over tired, didn't nap today" Joe says handing me our 1 year old.
" You have a package from C4 Energy" I say
"Thanks" he says following me into the house.
"Ryanne and Karsyn take your bags up to your rooms please" Joe says to the girls.
"Since the girls are upstairs can we talk in private for a minute?" I ask
" What's up? " He asks, picking up Mateo who was following his daddy with his arms up .
"I've been thinking since it's been months we've been separated and no progress to work it out has been made, if maybe we should just put an end to it and finally go our separate ways." I say
"Like what a divorce?" He asks cocking an eyebrow
" Yea I mean unless you think we can work this out  I mean I was hoping we could but Joe it's been 5 months!" I say
"If that's what you think is best then fine, we'll work something out with the kids" he finally says after a few minutes of silence
" Joe…" I start but am cut off by him
"Here bud go to Mama, Daddy has to go" he says handing me our son.
A few days later was a really big event for Joe. SummerSlam Joe or should I say "Roman Reigns" was the WWE undisputed champion and was facing Brock Lesnar which I always hated personally as his wife I feel like they've fought enough Brock was known to not follow rules in the ring and would end up hurting people. Anyway I flew to Nashville with my  best friend to help with the kids. Even though Joe and I have been separated for months no one knew about it besides our immediate family so when I go to these events we pretend everything is perfect.
I had a love hate relationship with coming to these events because as much as i loved seeing all  friends it made me miss being in the ring. I was sitting on some crates backstage talking to Bianca and her husband Montez and our friend Angelo.
“Have you ever thought about coming back?” Montez asks
“Yea a lot actually” i admit
“So what’s stopping you ?” Angelo asks
“As much as i love wrestling i love being a mom a hundred times more” i smile
“Girl, you can do both Becky does it, Marsye does it, You got this “ Bianca says.
I find Joe in his locker room getting ready for his match.
“Hey, there you are , Where have you been?” he asks
“Just catching up, You okay?’’ i ask
“Yea, ready to be done with these matches with Brock honestly, after six or seven times it starting to kill me” he says
“I know, i remember the toll it takes on your body, not to mention the injuries that comes with facing him and him doing whatever the hell he wants, it scares me every time you get in the ring with him” i say
“ I know , Y/n …” he starts but is interrupted by Paul telling us they are ready for him in the gorilla.
“Be safe. Please. “ i smile grabbing his hand
“I'll do my best”he smirks, squeezing my hand .
As i sat in the back watching what i think was the most brutal match between Joe and Brock Stepahnie Machon comes over to me
“Y/n, what do you think of being on Smackdown this week?’ she asks
“I’d love to. Can I ask why?’ i smile looking form the tv in the back to Steph quick
“Well lets just say we a superstar  supposed to send your Roman  a message, so i wanna get you in there for a good reaction ’ she says
“Absolutely, i'll be there” i smile
Looking up just in time to see Joe get the win over Brock in the Last Man Standing match.
“That's your man!” Stephanie smiles
“ He sure is “ I smile back lying through my teeth.
Being at Smackdown was always a good time, usually I had the kids so everyone would be gushing over how cute they are, or how much they looked like Joe and I .
My sister flew in to help with the kids which was such a relief. She took the kids back to the hotel before the actual show started.
I still didn't know what superstar was gonna return to send a message but I followed Jimmy,Jey and Joe to the gorilla waiting for our que to walk out
"Nervous?"Joe whispers
"Never" I wink
The music hits and we get our que to walk out. Joe stops so he can do his little pose with his belts. He looks over to me, smirks gives me a wink and we continue down the ramp Joe taking my hand in his for show.
Joe was talking about SummerSlam when Drew's music hit as Drew was about to come to the ring the light went low and what looked like a woman was standing at the top of the ramp, then all of sudden someone attacked Drew. It was Karian Kross a guy from NXT next thing I know Scarlett was at the bottom of the ring eyes on Joe, I step in front of Joe, Jimmy and Jey her eyes met mine as she place an hourglass in the ring
"If you know what's good for you I'd suggest you back the hell up" I say with no mic but loud enough for her to hear. She smirks, flips the hourglass and backs up.
After we head back stage Joe  was stopped by Triple H so Jimmy and Jey lead me to the locker room
"From what I saw out there it looks like you still got feelings for uce" Jey says bumping his shoulder into mine.
"Yea…well shut up" I smile
"I knew it . You do .Man why y'all act like you don't though shit don't make sense" he says
Joe came in before I could answer
"Come on Jey let's go back up" Jimmy says leaving Joe and I alone.
"So how do you feel about Karion's message?" I ask
" I think the real question is how do you feel about Scarlett" he says
" I don't feel anything as a long as she know her place and stays there"I shrug
I turned around to face Joe and was caught off guard by a kiss.

Part 1 part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dinner was a disaster, their powers are malfunctioning, some of them are stronger while the others became weaker.
One of the people who became weak is Mateo. Trying his best to help Luisa out, but failed.
"Um, Mateo could you help Luisa for a moment, please?" His abuela requested, wanting to at least ease up the moment.
The boy in green did his old thing, only using a hand to lift the piano. But it didn't move the slightest bit, he tried using it again but with more force. Then again, he failed. He groans to himself, he needs to be useful.
The dark-haired stood from his spot using both hands this time, gritting his teeth using the full force of his power. He feel himself becoming weak every second, as he still tried to lift the piano until his mother stopped him.
Bruno watched as things go down, he knows this will eventually happen, he can't even stop Manuel's death, how can he stop something big as this?
His heartburn when he saw his first-born son, get slowly frustrated at himself for not helping his cousin.
Everyone stormed out, once his Mamà saw the vision he's been hiding for 10 years. The future-teller asked his companion rats to give him the vision, before following them near the entrance of the painting.
" 'Teo, that's enough. You did your best." He heard his wife say.
"No Mamà, I'm one of the most useful gifts here, I can't be weak. I need to be useful." Bruno peaked in the hole once again, seeing Mateo had frustrated tears on his face, attempting to use his gift to lift anything. Anything.
"Corazon! Stop this, you need to take a breather. Calm down—"
"How can I calm down when everything is falling apart?! You won't understand, Mamà. You don't even have a gift, 'cause you're an outsider!"
" 'Teo!" His siblings yelled at the same time, he crossed the line.
Aye, kid. Bruno glace at his wife, seeing she had an unreadable expression. He wishes he can be there, comfort his wife and son. The future-teller knew the boy didn't mean it. He's a mama's boy, just like his primo: Camilo. Rushing his way to the entrance of the hall, he still needs to get the shards with him. Cutting the bridge isn't enough for Mirabel to not cross it, he should have seen this coming.
Mateo's olive-green eyes widen in regret. "Mamà, lo siento, I didn't mean any of it. Please, I'm really sorry, Mamà.." He looked down, ashamed. Already accepting that he will get the discipline spank, he only heard her sigh.
The boy looked up, seeing his mother had a hand over her eyes. He can't help but feel more guilty. His mother, the only parent that they have, who supports them with anything they do unless it's illegal, the one raise them all on her own since no one was there to help her. She did all that for them, and he repay her by yelling.
"Mà, por favor. I really didn't mean any of it, I'm really sorry. I love you, Mà.."
"Let's... just go to our rooms, okay? Y'all soak, change clothes so you won't get sick, alright?" That was all she said. [Name] lightly pat her oldest on his cheek, before guiding the other two upstairs stopping at the top.
"Go change, call me if you need me. Aaaand don't forget, you guys still have to tell me why this little guy—" she snuggles Diego's cheeks, 'causing the said boy to whine. "—keeps disappearing."
-
Meanwhile, Mirabel looked around her Tìo's 'home' it was messy, but neat in some way. Bruno is showing her his Rat shows, like sports, game shows, and his all-time favorite: telenovelas.
"I don't understand." She stated, still observing her surroundings. Why does he have two brooms?
"Oh, 'cause she's his aunt, but she has amnesia so, she doesn't remember she's his aunt. It's kinda like a very forbidden love-"
"I don't understand, why did you left but didn't leave?" Bruno sank in his seat, don't know how to answer the question. He loves his family more than anything, even if he's not part of their lives anymore, he still wants to see them living happily. He wants to see his children grow up, even if he's not there.
The future-teller found his excuse, trying to wave it off and move on. But when his niece find the drawn-out plate, he hesitated to tell the truth.
"My gift wasn't really helping the family," he paused, looking down for a brief moment before glancing back at his niece. "But I love my family, y'know?"
Mirabel saw a green light coming from the side of his home, approaching it carefully she realized it was another vision. A woman neatly dressed, lips locked with man, it's showing the day the two got married.
Her chocolate-like eyes widen at the realization of the people in the glowing glass. "Is this... Tìa [name]? With you on your wedding day?! You- you kept it...?"
"Well, of course! It's the best vision in life!"
Mirabel once again looked around the small room, he had frames on his walls all of them are rats. Looking closely, the hair texture, their clothing, the posing of the rats. It resembles his own family.
Some rats have a ruana, the textures match her primo: Diego. Dress patterns on the other rats are the same one Alondra have. The polo's color is identical to Mateo's.
There are more of it, other rats are levitating the chairs and tables, others are making portals and some are painting. The one that caught Mirabel's attention is the tidy painting of a rat, it's clear that the painting resembles [name]. She's the only one with a big frame, she can see small doodles on a paper, of them. Bruno's whole family. (Link of the said doodles)
"I know right? Where do you think Alondra's skills come from, eh?" He proudly exclaimed, smiling to himself. "If you're wondering why they're rats, I found human faces hard to draw, heh. Good thing, Rafael and Ana are great at modeling!"
"You really love them..."
"Yea, I just... I don't know how to..." Bruno started, unable to form words. "I think you should go, 'cause that's a good reason. but if you think I should go, 'cause that's a good reason."
-
Back to [name], she kissed the crown of their head before they leave. She turned to Mateo, the woman can still see the frown he had. cupping his face, squishing it a little, before giving him a peak on the head. "you too, mi Vida. We don't want you to get sick, okay?"
"Mà..." the dark-haired boy clench the hem of her blouse, he was fighting back tears, he's a young adult! Why would he be crying? A tear slip, and another, and another again. He's taller than her, yet he still acts like he's a little boy. Well, he only does this when he's alone with his mother, he doesn't want his siblings or cousins to tease him. "I'm really, really sorry. I didn't- I didn't know what just came over me. I don't mean any it, I would never—"
"Mijo! It's okay, I know you didn't. You were just frustrated, I understand." Opening her arms, with a soft look at her face. "C'mere."
Mateo dive into her arms, embracing her tight. His arms are around her neck due to the height difference. He's all grown up, [name] can't help but feel proud and sad at the same time, the little boy that can barely jump up to the counter is 7 inches taller than her now.
"Aww, my baby's big now!" Swaying the two of them, erupting a chuckle from her child. "Gabriela better take care of you."
"I'm sorry, Mamà..."
"You say sorry so much, just like your father." She giggled, pulling away from the way, fixing his hair.
"[Name]? Mamà wants to talk to us, get downstairs right away." Julieta announced, her lips pressed into a thin line, worried about her daughter, before taking her to leave escorted by Agustin.
"I'll be going now. the house is cracking so if you feel unsafe in your room, just accompany your siblings in Dee's room, okay? You can call 'Londra too." Rushing down the stairs once she received a nod of approval.
She's worried for all of them, Mateo's furniture is all floating it will be dangerous if all of it suddenly fall, on the other hand, Alondra has a very chaotic room, full of unusual things like a flying teapot, wild animals with horns, tiny elephants, and full of all kinds of colors. The only normal room is Diego's, he had two separate rooms, one full of sand, while the other is his belongings.
"You should have told me, the second you saw the vision! Think of the family!" [Name] heard her mother-in-law exclaimed, furious about what's happening to la casita.
"I was thinking about my daughter!" Agustin defended, his wife by his side, who had the face frown like he does.
Alma felt a cold breeze, snow is all over the place, she already knew who was the cause of it. "Pepa! Come down!"
The ginger grit her teeth at the cold, before glancing at her mother with an offended look, can't she see she's doing all she can to bottle it all up? "I'm doing my best!" Pointing a finger, she heard her husband mutter an angry 'yes'. "You're luCKY IT'S NOT A HURRICANE!"
The elderly caught sight of [name], approaching her. "Did you know anything about that vision?!"
"No, Bruno didn't say anything about it!"
"Don't lie on me, [name]."
"I'm not, the last time I saw him is at the dining area when it was Mirabel's gift ceremony. If I knew about the vision, he's still been here." She stood her ground, she may not have a husband to stand by her side just like Pepa and Julieta, but she can handle this on her own, she always does.
-
"How does embracing Isabela do anything?" Mirabel as well as Bruno hid behind a plant, peeking at her sister's door.
"I don't know, your family has a miracle, how do you help the family miracle? You hug your sister." He tilts his head.
A sound of a door closing at the left side of Mirabel's door caused him to panic as the three of them made contact. Bruno can see hints of green in Alondra's eyes as they stared at each other, one has a terrified expression, while the other had a shocked one.
The [hair. color] opened her mouth, ready to scream but stopped when her cousin suddenly dived at her, covering her mouth. Alondra squirm at her grip, the two kept shushing her and assuring her it was okay.
No, she's not squirming to shout, she's struggling 'cause she can't breathe. Unknowingly to the glass-eyed girl, she almost covered her prima's nose. Good thing Bruno notice his daughter's action and pulled Mirabel off her.
"Mija! Are you okay?? We're sorry we freaked you out! You can breath now, right?" He put a soothing hand on his daughter's back, as she coughs some air, still crouching.
The girl shrugged his hand off, not wanting to be touched by a stranger. The future-teller felt his heartache a bit when she moved away from him, he understood that it's been quite a while that she'd seen him, but it still hurts.
"I'm... fine." Side eyeing his man beside her, still stunned that he's here. Right here on casita. "Just surprise, that's all." She paused, "what's is he doing here?"
The three madrigals in green are very different people. Mateo is a responsible child, always in the town to help the people, very kind, and welcoming. Alondra is a timid kid who rarely leaves the house unless she needed to, she can be problematic when it comes to her close ones. Diego is the problem child, picking fights and everything, but still responsible.
The only thing they have in common is their mother, their surname, and their hatred towards their father.
Their father who left without a trace, their father who was never there for them, their father who made their mother cry.
They might be finding his location for months now, but only for them to confront him why did he leave, why didn't he say goodbye, why he didn't love them anymore.
Mirabel frowned at her cousin's words, "it's- it's Tìo Bruno! Your Papà—"
"I know Mirabel, you don't have to remind me." The coldness of her voice sends shivers down his spine. "So he's just gonna come back after what? 10? 11? Years without a goodbye? Not leaving any trace about his whereabouts? Not being there for his own wife and kids? That's it? Well, welcome back!" The painter stood up, brushing the dust on her dress, it's clear that her voice is full of sarcasm. "It's so good to see you, Papà." She spat, before walking towards her brother's room. She may be introverted to everyone, especially in a situation like this, but she can't help but feel range.
Her words stab the man right in his heart. It's the truth though, it will take some time for them to adjust again, they're not just gonna welcome him into their lives like nothing happened.
Bruno was forced back when his sobrina, suddenly shove him in a violent nudged, nodding her head towards the [hair. color].
"Mij‐ Alondra.." Bruno called out, he stepped forward but still crouching down, not wanting to be seen. "I- I um... I just, look 'Londra... I didn't—" he tried. He really tried to form words, anything. He doesn't know where to start! He wants to explain everything, tell her everything.
Why he's back, why he left in the first place, why doesn't dare to completely leave Encanto?
"...can you not tell your mother, I'm back?" His words cause her to scoff loudly, is he serious right now?
"Oh wow, so you're planning to hide from us forever? You don't have a plan to come back for us?" The hurt in her eyes says it all, as more cracks appeared on the walls.
"Alondra, please... I just don't know how to approach you guys, believe me, I really want to go back, I swear." Her piercing glare can see right through his soul, her knuckles turned white as she clench her dress.
"Fine." With that one word, she stomps her way to her younger brother's door.
" 'Londra! Have you seen Mirabe-" Camilo called out from the first floor, only to be interrupted with a loud slam of the door.
The girl take a few deep breaths, trying to calm her raging anger down, her jaw clenched, her hands balled into fists, and tears started to flood her eyes, but she held it back.
Alondra called out her brother, looking into her sand cave as well as his own room, but found no trace except a little note, she sat on the bed and read, the note says "looking for Papà again, be back in a minute - your most handsome brother ;)"
The girl would've rolled her eyes and replaced the word handsome with ugly, she would've but right now all she can think about is her Papà. Who she missed dearly considering she's the closest one to him. If Mateo is close to [name], Alondra is close to Bruno.
She cried for hours when she found out he left. Tears soon again start building up and streaming down her cheeks, but this time she didn't hold it back and let them hit her green dress.
She didn't know it was from anger or sadness.
Anger at her father that decided to abandon them at a very young age. Or sadness that he would rather be back for Mirabel and not his own children.
A sob escapes her mouth as she recalls the events that happened. Her father is alive! He's here with them!
Alondra turned to the other way and hurriedly swiped her tears, clearing her throat as Diego's front door opened revealing her older brother whose also looking for the time traveler.
"Dee's not here, the note said so." Handing Mateo the note, forcing herself to let out a chuckle, looking down so he wouldn't see her bloodshot eyes.
" 'most handsome' huh?" He smiled at the note, but it soon turned into a frown as he saw a few tear stains on the corner of it. Glancing at his sister, whose head is facing down, he lifts her face with a finger observing the girl's face.
From her red stuffed nose to her tear-stained cheeks. "What happened? Who did this to you?" Protectiveness covered his voice.
"A sand just got in my eyes, it's nothing."
"Your face is wet from tears, your nose is deep red, and you're gonna tell me it's just sand?"
"Just forget about it, okay? We have bigger things to worry about."
"Like what?? My little sister is crying, what's more, important than finding the jerk who's the cause of it?!"
"What about worrying about your little brother? who's in another timeline when the magic is clearly in danger and has a huge possibility that he will be stuck there!"
Pablo's loud squeak stopped the fighting to worsen and caught their attention. Sat at the corner, is Diego with an arepa in his hand, eating it like he's watching a movie.
"You guys are so dramatic." He commented, mouth full.
Before Alondra could shout at him, the room suddenly started to rumble, the objects around started to fall, at first, it was small things like lanterns but they soon turned into bookshelves and dressers.
"Everybody out!" Mateo called out, pulling his little brother with Pablo to the exit, shielding his younger siblings.
"Bruno didn't care about this family!" Abuela's voice echoed around casita, as the dark-haired boy lead the two downstairs.
"He loves this family, I love this family, we all love this family! You're the one who doesn't care! You're the one who's breaking our home—"
"Don't you ever–!"
"—The miracle is dying. Because of you!"
Mirabel ended, the whole casita was silent, but it was only starting. It was the calm before the storm.
The house shook violently, making some of them lose balance. "The candle!" The said magic candle is now turned over the flame flickering and melting rather quickly.
Mirabel, Camilo, as well as Isabela rushed to the burning candle, doing their best they can to save it. Diego was about to run towards it but is pulled back by [name].
"No! I'm not letting you risk your life for a candle!" She held him by his wrist, pulling him back as heavy objects starts to fall and almost hit him and his little cousin: Antonio.
"We need to get out of here!" Following Felix's words, the woman ran to the front door, bringing all her kids with her. She was pushed forward as casita send a wave made of tiles to get them to safety, Julieta yelled in desperation for Mirabel.
"Mirabel get out of there!"
"Mirabel leave it!"
"The house is gonna fall!"
Bruno sprints through the walls, clinging at a vision made out of green glass, shoving the rat he passed by in his ruana. Before bursting into the wall making his escape.
He watches as the house he grew in and loves to fall apart into pieces, as debris smashes to the floor together creating a fog, the vines that were once on his tower rip, he can still see casita using every last power they have to save Mirabel.
The future-teller felt falling sand in his hands. Looking down, what he saw was something he expected. His glass vision started to turn itself into the sand, coming from the corners.
"No, no, no, no, please no, don't! Stop it!" He chanted, attempting to mold it in its shape. The only vision he cherishes the most is disappearing. Just like his closeness to his daughter. "Mierda..." he mutter to the air, as he stared at the sand beneath him, that was once about him and his wife.
"[Name]... wait, [name]!" Realization struck him, remembering the past events that occur, is she okay? Is she hurt? Did she... make it? What about the kids? Are they okay? Are they all okay? Hundreds of questions flood his brain.
Bruno ran, he dash to the near trees looking around to see if everyone is okay, he caught sight of Pepa and her family, Julieta approaching Mirabel to be saved by casita, and they there are.
"Diego! Don't do that again! You could've died!" [Name] scolded, she's the only one who's screaming at this moment, but she didn't pay it any mind. How can he rush into danger just to go save a candle?? Her anger died down when she saw the scowl plastered on his face, he doesn't like it when she's mad.
"...I was just trying to help—sorry, Mamì."
With a click of her tongue, the woman envelopes him with a hug. "I'm sorry too, I got angry with you. You guys are all I have, I'm just afraid to lose you too." Opening her arms wider, gesturing her two other children to join in, to which they both gladly return it. "I love you guys, so, so much!"
Their sweet moment was interrupted by her sister-in-law calling out for her youngest daughter, who suddenly went missing when she looked back.
"Where's Mirabel-? MIRABEL?! where is she?? MIRABEL!!"
Mira's missing? Where could she be?? That's where the search party began, they split into two people and some stayed by the fallen casita.
"MIRABEL! MIRA WHERE ARE YOU?!" Diego chanted with Camilo, as they strolled all over the town, the three of them are the close ones. Ever since Camilo and Diego got their gifts they would always be in the town, they have no time for each other anymore.
"MIRABEL COME BACK!!" their voice echoed through the mountains around Encanto.
"She's not here, 'milo. We should go back..." the madrigal in green brought a hand to his cousin's back, as the curly-haired boy's eyes travel from the bottom of a mountain to the top.
"Yea, yea we should." Both of them hope that she's okay, she'll be okay, she's Mirabel! The toughest out of the three of them.
"Do you think she went through there?" The Camilo inquired, Diego glanced to the tallest mountain in Encanto, which is now cut in half, revealing the outside world.
"Probably. Should we search there?"
"Uhuh, let's go, Dee!" He dragged his cousin by the wrist, as the other struggled to stop him
"No, no, no, wait! Our parents don't know where we'll be, if something happens to us when we go through there, we'll be missing too."
"Okay fine, where are going back to?? Our house?"
The boy in green cackled, as Camilo smiled to himself, happy that he made someone laugh. Even without his gift.
Once they got back, they witness Mirabel hugging her mother, with their Tìo Agustin not far behind, face and hands swollen due to the bees that bit him.
"They were bees, everywhere!" Seeing his daughter's worried look, he assured her quickly. "I'll be okay."
"uh, not if we don't have a house," Camilo commented, still using his house joke, to which only one of his cousins snickered. Felix elbow his son for ruining the moment, "What? We don't have a house! I can't say we don't have a house? what is that? not a house." he protests, gesturing the debris in front of them.
Mirabel looked amused, glancing back at her mother before observing their fallen home. She spoke about building a new one before she brought up a topic about their family.
Isabela wants to create much more than flowers.
Luisa wants to take a break from working nonstop.
Dolores wants to speak instead of listen.
And much more than that, Alma saw this as an opportunity to say her apologies, to everyone she has pressured over the years.
Especially her Brunito, who had to happen to stand by the entrance with an unsure expression. He eyed his wife and children, wanting to see their reaction as his mother pulled him inside.
Are they gonna push him away? Get mad at him for leaving? Yell at him? He wasn't sure.
Pepa and Julieta tackle him with a heartwarming hug, and he gratefully returned. He hasn't hugged a person in a long time.
"Where have you been, hemano??"
"Dios Mio, you're so thin! Have you been eating properly??"
His sister bombed him with questions, which he answered with a short reply. The man's emerald-like eyes met her dazzling [eye. color] ones.
[Name] could feel herself running to him embracing him, she cried to his chest, hugged him tight feeling that if she loosen her grip he will disappear once again. Unstoppable tears stream through his cheeks, he sure missed this feeling, being in her arms once again.
The madrigals in green stared at their long-lost father. The oldest couldn't help but feel emotional, he grow up to think his father will never come back, that he'd either have a new family or be dead, but he's here. With them. Hugging his Mamà with a bright smile.
Alondra has mixed feelings about it, she's happy yes, but also guilty considering how she treated him when they met for the first time after a decade.
The 15-years old is having the best time of his time, despite no shelter to live in, he just witness his mother be this happy, so happy that she had tears on her face. He grins at the couple. He's just shocked that his father is home, he sees him every day but in a different timeline.
"You're here, you're really here!" She quietly sobbed at his old green ruana, pulling away a bit the [hair. color] held his face, wiping his tears, as she caressed it. "You're here!"
"I'm here, mi Vida." Bruno kisses her knuckles, looking deeply at her eyes, "and I'm not gonna leave you again."
[Name] beams at her husband, before her face morphs into worry, "goodness, you have bags under your eyes, you look like you haven't eaten in days!" She commented, observing his body. "Are you alright, does anything hurt or—?"
"No, I'm perfectly fine, amor." Letting out a genuine laugh for the first time in years, he sure miss her worried look, he remembered that's he was the one who always gave her that expression.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure."
"Good, that's good." She returns his loving gaze, with a soft smile on her lips. But what she did next was something no one expects she would do.
[Name]'s palm stings a bit as she slaps her husband right on his cheek. The sound echoed around them as each member of the family let out a yelp of surprise, it's either a gasp or an 'ooooh'.
The husbands that were married into the family, brought a hand to their own cheeks as if they can feel how hard her slap was, and for some reason, Camilo, as well as Diego, copied the gesture.
"[N-name]?" The man stuttered, holding his sore cheek, he did not see that coming. They were just hugging and smiling so lovingly at each other.
"What. Were. You. Thinking??!" She asked— more like demanding an answer. "I've told you so many times! If you have a problem, just tell me! You don't have to go through this alone!!"
"Cariño, this one is a different situation—"
"Different situation or not, I could've helped! But no, you choose to do this alone, again! Now, what happens?! You isolated yourself from us for a decade, bub!" He should have known that this will happen, she's his wife for goodness sake. His wife whose never afraid to throw her hands at someone! Not even if it's her own husband.
"And you left me with these three!" She continued, gesturing to their children that are now staring at them with wide eyes, "you know how Mateo is as a child! I can't even take a bath alone! And 'Londra, she draws everywhere, walls, floors, doors. Do you know how hard to scrub those??! And Diego! Oh, Diego. He almost made me bald!" She groans, glaring at him. She said her words with such swift, you can't understand it if you zone out.
The duo didn't look like a couple at all, they look like a mother scolding her child for doing something he wasn't supposed to do. The two sisters of Bruno came to help, trying to calm her from her own rumblings, but she continues. "and you just—" letting out a sigh, she ended her scolded with a small huff and her arms crossed on her chest.
Bruno found himself looking down at his feet, he didn't even notice he was doing it. Glancing up to his significant other, a fond smile plastered at his face when he realized she's done letting out her feelings.
"Are you done now, Cariño?" He inquired with such a soft voice, as he tilt his head a bit. His tone has the people around them in shock. Weren't you being scolded just now?? Receiving a tiny nod from her, he continued. "Can you hug me again?"
Without any hesitation, she dives right into his arms once again. Diego laughed at the two's interaction before he sprinted and joined their hug. "C'mon guys!"
Mateo hesitated a little before he held them close, lightly smiling at the warmth. He can't believe it, their family is complete again! Bruno locks eyes with his daughter, bringing his hand up trying to say he wants her to join in too. Alondra eyed his hand for a bit, she was confused. Why isn't he mad at her for yelling earlier?
"C'mere, Mija." With his words of encouragement, she finally take hold of her father's hand and let him pull her into the embrace. "Missed you, guys. It feels good to finally be back."
"Welcome back, papà."

~
When Zuko defeated Combustion Man, Aang didn’t let him join the group until he gained approval from all of his friends.
“Toph, you're the one that Zuko burned. What do you think?”
The blind earthbender smirked, a sinister look on her face as she pounded her fist into her palm. “Go ahead and let him join. It'll give me plenty of time to get back at him for burning my feet.”
Satisfied with her answer, Aang turned to the Water Tribe boy. “Sokka?”
“Hey, all I want is to defeat the Fire Lord. If you think this is the way to do it, then, I'm all for it,” he said, crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall near him.
“Katara?” Aang asked uncertainly, noticing the stony look on the Water Tribe girl’s face.
“I'll go along with whatever you think is right,” she replied, glaring at Zuko.
“Great!” Aang said, ignoring Katara’s reaction. “Then that’s settled. Welcome to the group Zuko!”
Zuko paused slightly, looking around as he noticed the absence of the other Water Tribe girl he had always seen with the Gaang.
“Not that I’m complaining,” the prince said, a questioning look in his eyes. “But isn’t there someone else you should be asking? Where’s the other Water Tribe girl?”
The group went silent at Zuko’s words as Katara’s face hardened and Sokka looked away, a sad expression making it’s way onto his face.
“She’s gone,” Sokka said roughly as he began to storm off.
Katara reached out for his arm, grabbing onto him as he passed her. “Sokka, it wasn’t your fault.”
“Not my fault?” Sokka roared, stray tears escaping his eyes as he faced Katara. “It was my invasion plan Katara! I should’ve taken the fall. Not her!”
He shrugged her hand off before walking off deeper into the Air Temple. Katara sent Zuko another glare before hurrying after her brother, leaving him alone with Aang and Toph. Zuko glanced at Aang uneasily, not wanting to ask about what had happened. With a sigh, Aang sat down looking at Zuko expectantly.
The prince sat down across from Aang as Toph sat to his left, the usually loud-mouthed girl abnormally quiet.
“The other Water Tribe girl that would travel with us is (Y/N),” Aang explained quietly. “She’s Sokka and Katara’s older sister.”
Zuko nodded in response before speaking. “W-What happened to her?”
“She got captured by the Fire Nation on the Day of Black Sun,” Aang replied, looking down at his lap. “You know about the invasion right?”
Zuko nodded once more.
“Well it was Sokka’s invasion plan,” Aang continued. Zuko’s eyebrows rose up in surprise, going unnoticed by Aang. “He came up with it and (Y/N) and Hakoda, that’s their dad, fine tuned it. They thought of everything that could possibly go wrong and when the day came, Sokka was the one leading it.”
Aang’s face suddenly turned into one full of guilt. “I-It was actually my fault that she got captured. If I hadn’t gotten distracted by Azula, we could’ve gotten away before the eclipse was over. Instead, they caught up to us before we could get back to the beach. Hakoda told us all to leave on Appa and to take the youngest members of the group but (Y/N) didn’t fit because we had Teo, Haru, and The Duke with us. So she decided to stay behind and take the blame for the invasion so that they wouldn’t go out and look for us. She said that they’d believe her because she was traveling with the Avatar and because she was the daughter of the Chief of the Southern Water Tribe and she had a reason to want to attack the Fire Nation.”
Aang couldn’t stop the tear that slipped out. “I guess she was right because we weren’t followed after we escaped.”
“C’mon Twinkletoes,” Toph said, leaning back on her hands. “(Y/N) knew what she was getting into. She’s not dumb. She’s strong, smart, and patient. In fact, I’m willing to bet she’s making those Fire Nation guard’s lives hell.”
Zuko observed Toph as she spoke about the missing Water Tribe girl. “How are you so sure?”
“Please,” Toph scoffed, cracking her knuckles. “She’s the only idiot here that can beat me in a fight. She’ll be fine.”
“Oh,” Zuko said, slightly surprised. “Is she a waterbender too?”
“Nope,” Toph said. “That’s how I know she’s okay. She can beat me in a fight, and I’m the greatest earthbender in the world! I invented metalbending.”
Zuko’s eyebrows shot up in surprise at Toph’s words. “She beat you without any bending?”
“She did,” Sokka’s voice rang out. The group (except Toph) turned around to find Sokka walking towards them. “Which is why we needed her here, not in prison. She shouldn’t be paying for my mistakes.”
Without another word Sokka climbed onto Appa, shooting Aang a look when the Air Nomad shot him a worried glance. “Don’t worry Aang. I’m just gonna clear my head. Yip yip.”
The conversation ended with Sokka’s departure and silently, Aang showed Zuko to his room.
~
“Hey, can I talk to you for a second?” Sokka asked, catching Zuko’s attention as he handed him a cup of tea. Zuko set down the tea and followed Sokka to where he was standing, softly petting Appa when he opened his eyes to look at them.
“So, what’s up?” Zuko asked, looking back over at the group before focusing on Sokka.
“If someone was captured by the Fire Nation, where would they be taken?” the Water Tribe boy asked, trying to look nonchalant. At Zuko’s suspicious look, he spoke again. “When the invasion plan failed, some of our troops were taken. I just want to know where they might be.”
“We both know this is about your sister, Sokka,” Zuko replied. “I can’t tell you.”
“What? Why not?” Sokka asked, mildly irritated.
“Trust me,” Zuko said, turning to leave. “Knowing will just make you feel worse.”
“It’s not just about (Y/N)!” Sokka hissed, causing Zuko to stop in his tracks. “It’s my dad. He was captured too. I need to know what I put them through.”
“It’s not good Sokka,” the prince replied, not meeting his eyes.
“Please.”
Sighing deeply, Zuko gave in. “My guess is, they were taken to The Boiling Rock.”
“What’s that?”
“The highest security prison in the Fire Nation,” Zuko ignored Sokka’s horrified look. “It's on an island in the middle of a boiling lake. It's inescapable.”
“So,” Sokka said, trying to appear indifferent. “Where is this place?”
“Why do you need to know?” Zuko asked, eyes narrowing. “What are you planning?”
“Nothing!” Sokka tried reassuring the prince. “Boy, you’re so paranoid.”
Zuko rolled his eyes before replying. “It's in the middle of a volcano between here and the Fire Nation. You guys actually flew right past it on your way here.”
“Thanks Zuko,” Sokka said before letting out a very fake yawn as he stretched. “Just knowing makes me feel better.”
“Sure it does,” Zuko scoffed, watching the Water Tribe boy walk away. Noticing that everyone was getting ready to go to bed, he stealthily climbed up onto Appa’s saddle, gently shushing the sky bison when he once again opened his eyes.
~
At this moment, Zuko sort of regretted joining Sokka on his journey. After having successfully convinced him to take his war balloon instead of Appa, the two boys found themselves existing in awkward silence.
“Pretty clouds,” Sokka spoke first, slightly startling Zuko.
“Yeah...fluffy,” the Fire Nation prince replied before focusing on the fire again. Sokka began whistling casually, drawing Zuko’s attention. “What?”
“What?” Sokka asked, the awkwardness between the two boys palpable. “Oh, I didn't say anything. You know, a friend of mine actually designed these war balloons.”
“No kidding,” Zuko said with slight surprise.
“Yep. A balloon...but for war,” came the other boy’s reply.
“If there's one thing my dad's good at, it's war.”
“Yeah, it seems to run in the family.”
“Hey, hold on,” Zuko said, slightly offended. “Not everyone in my family is like that.”
“I know, I know,” Sokka replied, hands raised in defense. “You’ve changed.”
“I meant my uncle. He was more of a father to me. And I really let him down.”
“I think your uncle would be proud of you,” Sokka said, looking at Zuko intently. “Leaving your home to come help us? That's hard.”
“It wasn’t that hard.”
“Really?” Sokka asked in disbelief. “You didn't leave behind anyone you cared about?”
“Well I did have a girlfriend,” Zuko replied, smiling slightly. “Mai.”
“That gloomy girl who sighs a lot?” Sokka asked, trying to hold back his smile.
“Yeah. Everyone in the Fire Nation thinks I'm a traitor. I couldn't drag her into it,” Zuko explained before hesitating slightly. “Besides, I didn’t truly like her. Trust me, I know that sounds bad. When we were kids we liked each other, but we’re not kids anymore and we’ve both changed and things just weren’t working out.”
Sokka nodded in understanding before crossing his arms. “My first girlfriend turned into the moon.”
Zuko paused for a few seconds, looking up at the moon and wondering if Sokka was being serious before turning to him. “That’s rough buddy.”
Silence ensued again, the scene almost relaxing if it weren’t for the fact that the two of them were heading for the most high-security prison in the Fire Nation.
“So,” Zuko broke the silence, looking at Sokka uncertainly. “What happens if we get there and (Y/N) isn’t there?
The question caught Sokka off guard, causing him to scowl. “She will be.”
“But,” Zuko pressed, trying to make the boy understand. “What if she isn’t?
“We’ll cross that bridge when we get there,” Sokka replied, crossing his arms and looking away as he tried not to think about Zuko’s words.
“Why don’t you just wait until after Aang defeats my father to set everyone free?” Zuko asked softly. “You’d have a much better chance then.”
“You just don’t get it!” Sokka yelled, looking back at Zuko. “See you and your sister might not get along very well but (Y/N) is the most important person in my life. She was the one who took care of me and Katara after our mom died. She was the one who basically led our tribe after the men went off to fight. She always knew what to say and what to do. We need her Zuko. I need her, Katara needs her, Aang definitely needs her, heck even Toph needs her!”
Zuko stayed silent as he focused on the fire, giving Sokka a few minutes to calm down.
“You’re right Sokka,” he finally said. “I don’t get along with Azula. We’ll find her.”
Sokka didn’t reply, instead choosing to look up at the moon, hoping that he had made the right choice.
~
Soon enough, they had reached The Boiling Rock. Zuko followed after Sokka, a bit disgruntled at the fact that his war balloon had been destroyed. They had somehow managed to get guard uniforms and sneak into the prison, a feat Zuko found impressive considering that Sokka didn’t have a fully thought-out plan.
“I hope these disguises work,” Zuko hissed, shoving Sokka softly with his shoulder.
“We just need to lay low and find (Y/N) and my dad as soon as possible,” Sokka quietly replied, rubbing his shoulder. “Ow!”
“Guards!” another guard ran past Sokka and Zuko, causing them to flinch. “There’s a scuffle in the yard. Come on!”
The two boys exchanged looks before running after the guard, eventually coming to an open space where a guard was harassing a prisoner. The rest of the guards were trying to keep the other prisoners away from the confrontation. Sokka subtly tilted his head, motioning for Zuko to join the other guards. They split up slightly, trying to keep the crowd in control.
“I didn’t do anything,” the prisoner in the middle of the platform stated, walking away from the guard. “I’m going back to my cell.”
“Stop right there Chit Sang,” the guard said, sending a fire whip towards him. “I’ve had it with your unruly behavior.”
One of the prisoners Zuko was trying to hold back began to slip past him and he reached out to grab them. His eyes widened when he made eye contact with the girl, who then promptly proceeded to shove him off of her and onto the ground. Zuko stared at the girl, his heart speeding up slightly and his stomach lurching as she shot him a glare and marched right up to the guard who had created the fire whip.
“Leave him alone!” she growled, stepping in front of Chit Sang. The guard simply laughed before stepping forwards.
“What are you gonna do Water Tribe scum?”
Zuko flinched as Sokka swatted him, tilting his head towards the girl. “That’s her! That’s (Y/N)!”
Sokka grasped Zuko’s arm tightly, knowing that he couldn’t jump to his sister’s defense. The two of them watched in anticipation as the guard shot out a blast of fire, aiming it at you. Zuko’s eyes widened at the sight. You weren’t a bender, you were going to get burned.
His jaw dropped as you gracefully slid underneath the blast before coming up and swatting the guard’s hand away. When the guard tried to aim at you again, you swept your leg in a graceful arc, knocking him down. You were amazing.
“Cuff her!” the guard barked, embarrassment clear on his face as all the other prisoners cheered. Two of the other guards grabbed you roughly, cuffing your hands behind your back and shoving you roughly in front of the guard you had knocked down.
“You think you’re tough, don’t you?” the guard asked. You didn’t look at him.
“Look at me when I speak to you!” the guard screamed. The yard went silent as everyone waited to see what you would do. Slowly, you lifted your head and met the guard’s eyes. His face held a smug expression, which was soon wiped off when you leaned forward and spit in his face.
The yard went wild again, the guards struggling to keep the prisoners under control. The bully guard lunged forwards, gripping your face tightly in his hand. He stared you down for a few seconds before tossing you to the ground. Scowling, he turned to Sokka and Zuko, who seemed to be the only guards not busy at the moment. “You two! Take her to her cell.”
Sokka picked you up and Zuko led them inside, stealing glances at you as you walked. At one point Sokka caught his gaze, giving him a confused look before his eyes widened in realization. He looked between you and Zuko before glaring at the prince and shaking his head furiously. Zuko avoided his gaze after that. They found your cell quickly enough and Sokka softly pushed you in before stepping inside and pulling Zuko with him.
He took off your cuffs easily enough and you stepped away from him, rubbing your wrists gently.
“What do you want?” you snarled, eyes shifting from one guard to another.
“(Y/N)!” one of them cried out, moving towards you. You sidestepped quickly, grabbing his arm and shoving him up against the wall. He groaned in pain as you pulled his arm back.
“What do you want?” you hissed, not taking your eyes off of the other guard.
“(Y/N/N),” the one you were holding squeaked. “It’s me!”
Your eyes widened at the voice and you stepped back, still keeping your hand on the guard’s arm. “Sokka?”
Sokka used his free hand to take off his helmet, a large grin on his face as he turned to look at you. “Yes! It’s m-”
His words were cut off when you yanked on his arm, pulling him close to you as you wrapped your arms around him in a tight hug. Sokka melted into the hug, wrapping his arms around you tightly as he held tears back.
“Spirits,” you whispered, pulling back and looking at your baby brother. “Sokka what are you doing here? How did you get here?”
“Uh, we took my war balloon,” the other guard replied. You froze slightly at the familiar voice, turning to find Prince Zuko standing there, waving awkwardly.
“You,” you snarled, stomping up to the prince and pushing him up against the wall. You held your forearm against his throat, staring him down. Zuko didn’t do anything in return, a dazed smile on his face as he stared back at you.
“(Y/N) what are you doing?” Sokka yelped, placing a hand on your shoulder. You looked away from Zuko, glancing at your brother in disbelief.
“What do you mean? Have you forgotten that he’s tracked us all over the world? Or that he’s tried to kill us? Multiple times!” you glanced at Zuko again, noticing that he was still smiling. “Why are you smiling at me? Sokka, why is he smiling at me?”
Sokka snorted softly, the scene in front of him reminding him of the first time Aang had met him and Katara. Shooting a tired look at Zuko, he gently pulled you away from the scarred prince. “I don’t know why he’s smiling at you but I do know that he’s part of the team now, so lay off okay?”
You looked at him in disbelief before whirling around and facing Sokka. “Alright but that still doesn’t explain why you’re here.”
“We’re here to break you out?” Sokka said, rubbing the back of his neck as he turned his gaze to the floor.
“Seriously?” you hissed, stepping closer to him and causing him to stumble back. “This couldn’t have waited until after Aang defeated Ozai?”
“I told you so,” Zuko mumbled, shooting a pointed look at Sokka.
“Stay out of this,” you whisper-yelled, pushing him back up against the wall with one hand. “You have to leave. Both of you.“
“Well you see,” Sokka said, chuckling slightly as he met your gaze. “We can’t exactly do that.”
“Yes you can,” you replied, grabbing Sokka and proceeding to push the two boys towards the door. “Just get back on your little war balloon and leave.”
Zuko and Sokka exchanged nervous glances at the mention of the war balloon, causing you to narrow your eyes at them.
“Don’t say it.”
“It popped!” Sokka squealed, bouncing away from you as he noticed your expression. “But we’ll get out of here, and you’re coming with us.”
You couldn’t help but facepalm at your brother’s words.
~
The guards had only released you from your cell when it was your turn to do the cleaning. You hadn’t heard from Sokka since he had left you, and you were worried that he had gotten caught. You were so distracted by your thoughts that you didn’t notice the other prisoner who was mopping, resulting in you bumping into them and falling down.
“I’m sorry,” the other prisoner said, extending a hand to help you up. You glanced up, making eye contact with Zuko. Your eyes widened almost comically and you grabbed his hand, simultaneously pulling yourself up and pulling him closer to you.
“Where is my brother?” you asked as you leaned in close, panic in your voice as you whispered in his ear. Zuko tried to ignore the blush on his cheeks as your close proximity, focusing on your question.
“He’s fine,” he whispered back. “It was just me who got caught.”
You let his hand go, stepping back and nodding subtly before going back to mopping. Zuko stayed close to you, pretending to be focused on his mopping as he stole glances at you. Feeling his gaze, you looked up and arched an eyebrow as you made eye contact. The prince flushed when he realized he had been caught, looking back down before speaking.
“I-I never introduced myself,” he spoke softly. “I’m Zuko.”
“I know,” you replied flatly, walking further away from him. Zuko stood awkwardly for a moment before inching closer to you again.
“So you’re (Y/N),” he spoke again. “It’s nice to finally meet you.”
You snorted at his words, your eyes not leaving the ground. “Yeah I’m sure it is.”
“You’re a really good fighter,” Zuko continued, still trying to make conversation. “Even back when I was still hunting the Avatar you were the one that I was most worried about holding off.”
“Good to know,” you said drily, finally looking up at Zuko. “Look, Sokka may trust you but I don’t, okay? First of all, you haven’t really done anything but cause trouble for us. Second of all, you actually brought my brother here. I appreciate the sentiment but I’m not exactly thrilled at the idea of my baby brother breaking into a Fire Nation prison.”
Zuko swallowed harshly, looking away. “I’m sorry. But he was really adamant about rescuing you and your dad and-”
“Wait,” you interrupted Zuko. “I’m the only Water Tribe member here. My dad is still being held somewhere in the Fire Nation capital.”
Zuko’s eyes widened briefly before he composed himself. “Oh. Alright then I guess that means we can leave as soon as Sokka comes back to meet us.”
The two of you continued to mop in silence before someone suddenly grabbed your upper arm, causing you to stiffen and causing Zuko to get into a defensive stance.
“Calm down, it’s just me.”
“You really have to stop doing that Sokka,” you hissed, yanking your arm away from him. “Zuko told me about why you’re here. I hope you know we can leave now. Dad isn’t here.”
Sokka’s face fell briefly before he forced a smile onto his face. “He may not be but guess who is? Suki! Why didn’t you tell me she was here (Y/N)?”
“Oh, I don’t know,” you whispered. “Maybe because I was too busy freaking out about the fact that my kid brother and the Fire Nation prince broke into prison and don’t have a way to get out!”
“Shh!” Sokka hissed, putting his hand over your mouth. “Be quiet! And I’m not your ‘kid brother’, you’re only a year older than I am.”
Zuko stayed quiet as the two of you stared each other down before Sokka let out a yelp and took his hand off your mouth. “Did you just lick me?”
You didn’t reply, a smirk on your face as you crossed your arms. Zuko stifled a laugh at the scene in front of him, coughing quietly when you shot a look at him. The three of you stood still as a new voice interrupted.
“So, what’s the plan?” Suki stood near you, hiding in the shadows that the staircase provided. You exchanged a glance with Sokka, nodding in encouragement.
“So, listen, I think I have an escape plan,” Sokka began, a little nervous at being in charge of the escape plan. “I checked out the coolers again, and the point of them is to keep firebenders contained, right?”
“Yeah,” Zuko replied, unsure as to where this was going.
“So, they're completely insulated and sealed to keep the cold in. Well, to keep the cold in, it also has to keep the heat out, right?”
Zuko and Suki exchanged confused looks before looking over at you, only to see you smiling widely as you caught on.
“Just get to the point Sokka,” Suki said, glancing around nervously.
“It's a perfect boat for getting through the boiling water!” you said, eyes sparkling as you looked at Sokka proudly. Despite the situation, Zuko found himself smiling at the sight of your smile.
“Sokka,” you said, leaning in close to your brother while keeping your eyes on Zuko. “He’s doing it again.”
Sokka scowled and smacked Zuko’s head, causing the boy to straighten up and ignore Suki’s smirk. “The cooler as a boat? Are you sure?”
“I’m telling you, it’ll work,” Sokka said, giving them each a serious glance. “I walked around the perimeter. There's a blind spot between two guard towers. It's the perfect launching point. I already tested it out. We'll roll the cooler into the water and just float with the current. It'll take us straight across. As long as we don't make a sound, no one will notice. And bing-bang-boom, we're home free.”
“But how are you going to get the cooler out?” Suki asked, a worried frown on her face.
“Yeah. How are you gonna get the cooler out?”
The four of you turned as Chit Sang landed next to you, causing Sokka and Zuko to stutter as they tried to tell Chit Sang that they weren’t planning anything. You rolled your eyes, stepping closer to Chit Sang before speaking. “That’s easy, isn’t it? We just need to get a firebender into the cooler.”
Sokka and Zuko gaped at you, shocked that you had given them away.
“Calm down,” you scoffed, patting Chit Sang’s back. “Chit Sang and I go way back. He’s the one who made all the other firebenders leave me alone.”
Chit Sang nodded before turning back to the group. “Look I won’t tell the warden about your plan if you let me come along.”
Sokka stared at you intently, the two of you having a silent conversation before turning back to the group. “Fine! But we need to get someone into the cooler.”
Sokka handed Zuko a wrench. “Here. You’re going to unbolt the cooler, from the inside.”
Zuko looked back at Sokka, confused. “How am I going to get in there?”
You grinned widely, patting Zuko’s chest as you walked past him. “I got this. Follow my lead.”
You picked up your mop, motioning for Zuko to do the same. You began mopping, casually walking around as you kept Zuko in your periphery. The prince didn’t dare look at you so he was caught by surprise when you bumped into him from behind.
“Hey!” you snapped, turning around and glaring at him. “Watch where you’re going.”
Zuko froze for a split second before realizing this was your plan. “You’re the one who bumped into me. How about you watch where you’re going?”
A smile played at the corner of your lips as you stared each other down. Zuko noticed and felt his cheeks grow warm as he tried to hold back a smile of his own. The two of you stood there for a few seconds, staring at each other until Sokka coughed loudly.
Tearing your eyes away from the prince, you lunged at him. He easily dodged your swing before throwing a halfhearted punch back at you. You rolled your eyes as you kicked at him, losing your balance slightly as he swatted your leg away. You recovered quickly and threw another punch, a soft gasp leaving your mouth when he grasped your wrist and twirled you around, your back pressed against his chest as his arm held you tightly in place.
You struggled for a moment, sighing in defeat when you realized just how strong he was. You tilted your head back slightly, your lips brushing against his ear as you whispered into it. “You have to firebend at me Zuko.”
“I don’t want to hurt you,” he mumbled back, causing you to roll your eyes again.
“I’m a big girl. I can handle myself,” you replied. With a grunt, you elbowed him in the stomach. He let out a soft ‘oof’ and you took that chance to break out of his hold. You dropped down and spun, your leg outstretched as you tried to knock him down. He jumped over your leg easily before shooting out a blast of fire at you. He held his breath for a second, sighing in relief as he noticed you roll out of the way.
“No firebending!” a guard shouted, roughly grabbing Zuko from behind. You sent him a soft smile, receiving a smirk in return. As he was led away, Suki came up to you, a big smile on her face.
“So,” she said, her tone teasing. “What was that?”
“Yeah (Y/N),” Sokka said, crossing his arms as he came up to you. “What was that?”
You rolled your eyes before walking past the two of them. “It was a fight.”
“That’s not what it looked like from my point of view,” Suki called out after you, causing Sokka to send a glare at her. You simply chuckled at her words.
~
“(Y/N)?”
You stood up from the floor of your cell, looking at Sokka as he stood outside your cell. “Yeah?”
“It’s time.”
Sokka opened your cell and threw you a guard’s uniform before quickly closing the door and allowing you to change. When you were done, you knocked on the door three times, fixing your helmet as you waited for him to open the door.
Together, the two of you made your way towards the cooler, trying to avoid any guards on your way.
You opened the door to the cooler, a small frown making its way onto your face when you noticed that Zuko was shivering.
“I can take you back to your cell if you’ve learned your lesson,” Sokka said, looking way too smug. You rolled our eyes and focused on Zuko as he looked up at the two of you. His eyes met yours as he let out a breath of fire, his shivering stopping completely. He sent you a cocky smirk and you ignored the flopping you felt in your stomach at the sight of it. (A/N: y’all know what smirk i’m talkin bout)
“Yes I have,” he breathed, showing you both all the bolts and screws he had removed. “Completely.”
“I got Suki and Chit Sang out of their cells a few minutes ago,” Sokka whispered. “They'll be waiting for us at the shore.”
“Someone’s coming!” you whisper yelled, letting out a small yelp when you were pulled into the cooler. The three of you barely fit into the cooler but that didn’t make it any less cold. Even though you had grown up in the South Pole, you found yourself shivering at the temperature, your breath coming out in icy clouds.
Zuko glanced down at you, a frown appearing on his face as he noticed you shivering. He hesitantly wrapped his arms around you, bringing you in close as your expression changed into a bewildered one. You opened your mouth to say something, but quickly shut it when you realized just how warm he was. Sokka, unfortunately, didn’t stay quiet at the scene playing out in front of him.
“What do you think you’re doing?” he screeched quietly, trying to pry the two of you apart. You quickly pushed him away.
“Sokka, shut up,” you mumbled as you wrapped your arms around Zuko, your teeth still chattering. “He’s warm and I’m freezing.”
Sokka’s jaw dropped as you casually buried your face into Zuko’s chest, a content sigh escaping you as you got warmer by the second. Sokka stayed quiet as the voices outside got closer, instead miming a throat slitting motion as he stared Zuko down, causing the prince to swallow harshly.
“...Yeah. new arrivals coming in at dawn,” a male voice sounded, catching your attention.
“Anybody interesting?” a female voice asked in reply.
“Nah, just the usual. Some robbers, a couple traitors, some war prisoners,” you and Sokka exchanged a disbelieving look.  “Though I did hear there might be a pirate.”
“No fooling!”
The voices faded as they walked away and you all took that chance to leave the cooler.
“War prisoners,” Zuko stated, his eyes not leaving Sokka’s. “Could be your father.”
“I know.”
“Well, what should we do?” Zuko asked. “Are we going ahead with the plan or are we waiting another night?”
“I don't know!” Sokka cried out, looking distraught. “Is it right for me to risk Suki and (Y/N)’s freedom, all of our freedom, on the slim chance that my dad is gonna show up?”
You stayed quiet, not knowing what to say.
“It’s your call Sokka,” Zuko finally said, trying to let the other boy know he was there for him.
Sokka thought about it for a moment, eyes focused on the ground. After a few seconds he looked up and scowled, crossing his arms as he glared at you. “You can let go of him now (Y/N).”
A bright blush erupted on your cheeks as you looked at Zuko, an embarrassed expression spreading across your face as you realized you were still holding onto each other. You stepped away from him quickly, clearing your throat as you did so.
~
The three of you had somehow managed to get the cooler down to the shore, not that it mattered considering the fact that Chit Sang had just taken your only means of escape. It wasn’t his fault really; it was you and Sokka who had been extremely hesitant to leave, not wanting to risk the chance of your dad being on the gondola the next morning.
Suki and Zuko had stayed behind with you, the four of you waiting in the blind spot for the gondola to arrive. It had almost been light out when alarms were set off, causing all of you to whip your heads to where the cooler had been floating off.
“The plan failed!” Sokka said sadly. “They got caught.”
“I guess it’s a good thing we didn’t go along with them huh?” you said, earning a dull look from your brother.
“The gondola's moving,” Sokka said suddenly, grasping your hand. “This is it. If my dad's not there, we've risked everything for nothing.”
“We had to,” you whispered back, squeezing his hand. The four of you now stood in the yard as you waited in anticipation, looking up as the gondola doors opened.
“Is that him?” Zuko asked as the first prisoner got out.
“My dad doesn’t have a nose ring!” both you and Sokka exclaimed, looking at the prince weirdly. More men came off the gondola, both you and Sokka shaking with anxiety as you kept an eye out for Hakoda.
“Where is he?” Sokka asked as the last man stepped off. “Is that it? That can’t be it.”
“I’m sorry,” Suki whispered, rubbing both of your backs.
“Hey you!” the guard called out, drawing your attention. “Get off the gondola.”
You waited with bated breath for the last person to emerge, your hand tightening around Sokka’s and causing him to wince. Your eyes widened as you watched the final prisoner get off, dark jaw-length hair surrounding a face that held tired blue eyes. You immediately turned to Sokka, tears threatening to spill.
“Sokka,” you whispered. “It’s dad.”
~
You had been pacing back and forth worriedly ever since Sokka had gone to join the other guards and quite frankly, both Suki and Zuko were tired of it.
“Please just stand still (Y/N),” Suki said, gently reaching out and grabbing you. “If something was wrong, we would’ve heard it already. Your brother isn’t exactly the quietest.”
You nodded in agreement and sat down, nervously biting your lip as you waited for Sokka to return. You barely flinched as Zuko sat next to you, Suki giving him a knowing glance as she wandered off slowly.
“Look,” he began, staring straight ahead. “I know you don’t like me, but I need to tell you this okay? As much as you can’t help but worry, you shouldn’t. Sokka’s smart and he knows what he’s doing...sort of.”
He chuckled at the halfhearted glare you directed at him. “I’m kidding. But really, Sokka’s smart and brave and he was so set on coming up here and breaking you out and I know he’s going to do it because he has heart. Plus he has you helping him out. So stop worrying so much okay? Also, never repeat any of what I just said to him”
You snorted at Zuko’s words before bumping his shoulder with your. “Thanks Zuko. You know what? Maybe you’re not as bad as I thought.”
The prince’s eyes widened in shock and he smiled down at you, blushing slightly when you smiled back. Your moment was ruined when Sokka came sprinting back, causing Suki to join you as well.
“(Y/N), c’mon! I found him,” Sokka exclaimed. Without another word, he grabbed your arm and dragged you away from the group. A wide smile was on his face and you felt yourself smile as well when you came to a stop in front of a cell.
Sokka slid the door open, looking around before ducking inside and draging you with him. “Thank goodness you’re okay!”
“Oh you’ll see just how ‘okay’ I am,” Hakoda replied, swinging at what he believed to be a guard. You stepped in front of Sokka before pushing Hakoda’s arm out of the way, ducking under it and pushing him softly before pulling Sokka out of the way.
Hakoda’s eyes widened at the familiar movements, searching the faces of the two guards standing before him. “Sokka? (Y/N)?”
"Dad!” you cried out in unison with Sokka, the two of you removing your masks as you smiled at Hakoda. His eyes filled with tears as he brought you into a hug and you couldn’t help but let a few tears slip as well.
“Where’s Katara? Is she okay?”
“She’s fine dad,” you said, tightening your hold on Hakoda. “She’s not here.”
“Where’s Bato?” Sokka asked, pulling away. “Where’s everyone else from the invasion?”
“The others are being held at a prison near the Fire Nation palace,” Hakoda replied. “They sent me here because I kept being difficult after they singled (Y/N) out as the leader and sent her here. But before I left, I met some young women who said they knew you. The...Oshinama Fighters? ”
“You mean the Kyoshi Warriors?” you asked.
“That’s right.”
“Their leader Suki is here,” Sokka said, a blush visible on his face. “She’s gonna escape with us too!”
“Good. We'll need all the help we can get.”
“And you know Prince Zuko?” Sokka asked, getting excited at the thought of finally leaving.
“The son of the Fire Lord?” Hakoda asked hesitantly. “I don't know him, but I know of him.”
"Well he’s here too!” Sokka exclaimed.
“That sounds like a major problem,” Hakoda replied, crossing his arms as his face hardened.
“Actually,” Sokka said, smiling nervously. “He’s on our side now.”
Hakoda shot him a disbelieving look, causing you to step in.
“I had the same reaction dad,” you said, putting a hand on Hakoda’s shoulder. “But he really has changed. He came here with Soka to break me out. He’s been a big help.”
Hakoda’s face softened at your words. You had always been a good judge of character, so if you approved of the prince, then he did too. “So, do you have a plan?”
“We had one,” Sokka said, looking down sadly. “But some of the other prisoners got involved and ruined it. I dunno if there's another way off this island.”
“Sokka, there's no prison in the world that can hold three Water Tribe geniuses.”
“Then I guess we’d better find two more to help me plan something,” you teased, making Hakoda laugh and earning a dull look from Sokka.
~
You sprinted towards the yard, having been distracted by another guard for a few minutes before all the prisoners had been let out. When you reached your dad, Suki, and Sokka, you were surprised to see Chit Sang speaking with them.
“Hey you! You're lucky I didn't rat you out,” Chit Sang said, staring Sokka down. “But my generosity comes with a price. I know you're planning another escape attempt, and I want in.”
You nodded at Sokka, telling him to go along with it. He sighed softly before facing Chit Sang. “Actually, we're trying to escape right now, but we need a riot. You wouldn't happen to know how to start one, would you?”
“You seriously couldn’t start a prison riot?” you asked in disbelief, looking at the three of them in disappointment. “C’mon Chit Sang, let’s show them how it’s done.”
The two of you stepped forwards, Chit Sang picking up another prisoner as you strutted up to one of them.
“Hey everybody!” you yelled, the yard going quiet as you spoke. Without hesitation, you punched the prisoner closest to you. “Riot!”
The yard exploded into chaos as people began fighting and throwing stuff around. You quickly fought off the prisoner that you had punched before returning to your friends.
“Impressive,” Hakoda said, looking around at all the chaos.
You turned and swung as you felt someone bump into you, the person letting out a loud grunt as your fist met their face. Your jaw dropped as your eyes met piercing gold ones, your hands coming up to your face in slight horror as you realized that you had just punched Zuko.
“Yep,” he said, clutching his face. “I probably deserved that after everything I’ve done to you.”
“I’m so sorry,” you choked out in between giggles, earning a smile from the prince.
“Zuko! Good, we’re all here,” Sokka said, drawing you all into a huddle. “Now all we need to do is grab the warden, and get to the gondolas!”
“And how do we do that?” Zuko asked.
Sokka hesitated for a few seconds. “I’m not sure.”
Zuko groaned, throwing his hands up in frustration. “I thought you thought this through!”
“I thought you told me it's okay not to think everything through”
“Maybe not everything, but this is kind of important!” Zuko cried out.
“Hey fella,” Chit Sang interrupted, tapping Zuko’s shoulder before pointing at you. “I think your girlfriend’s taking care of it.”
“You’re dating my daughter?” Hakoda asked, glaring at Zuko.
“W-What? No!” Zuko cried out, slightly fearful of the Water Tribe Chief.
“Damn right you’re not,“ Sokka said, crossing his arms before Chit Sang spun him around.
“Your girlfriend too buddy.”
All four males went silent as they observed both you and Suki. You swiftly made your way up the tower, effortlessly taking guards down as you inched towards the warden. Suki took a stance at the base of the tower, fighting off any other guards who attempted to rush to the warden’s rescue. She was a truly impressive sight, her training as a Kyoshi Warrior shining through as she took down every guard that came at her effortlessly. Sokka stood a few yards away, awestruck at the sight in front of him.
Meanwhile, you had successfully made your way up to the top of the tower. You made quick work of the remaining guards before finally facing the warden.
“You wouldn’t dare,” he snarled, getting into a defensive position.
“Watch me,” you quipped, lunging at him. You avoided his punch, grabbing his wrist and spinning him around before shoving him up against the railing. You grabbed his sash, tying his hands before knocking him down and making sure he was tied securely before smiling over at your dad. “You’re my prisoner now warden.”
Down in the yard, Hakoda, Zuko, and Chit Sang all stared at you in awe, Sokka still focused on Suki.
“That’s my girl,” Hakoda stated, a proud look on his face as he looked up at you.
“Do you think she’d want to be my girl?” Zuko muttered dazedly, unintentionally speaking louder than he meant to. When he realized what he had said, he looked up in embarrassment, being met with an amused glance from Chit Sang, a harsh scowl from Hakoda, and a sharp slap from Sokka.
“Shut up!” Sokka hissed before grabbing Zuko’s arm and rushing to join you and Suki.
You all ran to the gondola, making sure that the warden was still tied up as you dragged him with you.
“We’re almost there!” Suki cried out.
“Spoke too soon,” you groaned as a group of guards came across your path, immediately sending two blasts of fire at you. You yelped as Zuko pulled you out of the way before stepping in front of you and dissipating the blasts. He sent a series of blasts back at them before grabbing the warden from you.
“Back off! We've got the warden!“ he shouted, successfully stopping the guards. When they didn’t make any movements he grabbed your hand and tugged you along. “Let's go”
Suki was the first to make it to the gondola, holding the door open for everyone else. “Everyone in!”
You all clambered on and you glanced around, realizing that someone was missing.
“Zuko!” you yelled, looking back at the prince. He started the gondola and you felt yourself panic as the guards closed in on him. “What are you doing? Hurry up!”
“I’m making it so that they can’t stop us!” With a few kicks, Zuko managed to break the lever that controlled the gondola before sprinting towards you. You leaned out of the door slightly, watching him in anticipation.
“C’mon Zuko,” you whispered to yourself, biting your lip as the gondola left the platform, now hanging freely. Zuko sped up and jumped, his feet landing on the edge of the gondola. He wobbled for a bit before you grasped his arm, fully pulling him into the gondola and into your arms. Zuko looked at you in confusion before wrapping his arms around you as well.
“Are you sure they’re not dating?” Hakoda asked, his voice quiet as he addressed Sokka. Sokka sent Zuko a menacing glare, the scarred prince gulping and loosening his hold on you when he noticed.
“What were you thinking?” you cried out, finally pulling away from Zuko and slapping his head.
“Ow!” Zuko hissed, rubbing the spot you had hit. “I was thinking ‘let me get rid of this lever real quick so that they don’t catch us’.”
“You could’ve gotten captured!” you yelled at him, taking a step towards him.
“Way to think ahead,” Sokka commented, saving Zuko from another slap.
“We’re finally on our way.” Suki sighed, sharing a soft smile with Sokka.
“Wait,” Hakoda said, leaning out of the window. “Who’s that?”
You leaned out of the window on the other side of the gondola, resisting the urge to blush as you felt Zuko’s chest press up against your back as he tried to get a good look at the platform.
“That’s a problem,” Zuko groaned. “It’s my sister and her friend.”
“This is a rematch I’ve been waiting for,” Suki growled, cracking her knuckles.
“Get in line,” you scoffed, your eyes narrowing as you watched the princess approach. You climbed out of the gondola and onto the roof, being followed by Sokka, Suki, and Zuko.
Suki and Sokka turned to face Ty Lee as she landed onto the roof gracefully, quickly becoming preoccupied with the chi-blocker. You carefully observed Azula as she landed a few feet away from you, staring you down as she stalked closer.
“Well, well, well,” she spoke, her voice taunting. “If it isn’t the Water Tribe scum.”
“Don’t speak to her like that,” Zuko barked, stepping slightly in front of you.
“Aww, does Zuzu have a little crush?” Azula teased, pouting as she shifted her gaze to Zuko. “Snap out of it Zuko. We raided her village multiple times. She’ll never see you as anything other than a monster.”
“Still not over what your mother used to say about you huh?” you shot back, missing the hurt look in Azula’s eyes as she shot lightning at you. You swiftly dodged the blast and ran at her, sliding onto the ground when she let out another blast.
Zuko watched as you stood up, landing a solid hit on his sister before bouncing back and dodging the hit she sent your way. He tried to find an opening to attack Azula but eventually gave up for fear of hurting you. Instead he chose to jump into the fight and wipe out the blasts Azula kept sending at you, even if you were expertly dodging them.
Azula soon grew tired of the fight, and knowing that she couldn’t beat you in the moment decided to send a blast of fire at Zuko. She caught him off guard and although he managed to wipe out the blast, he ended up tumbling back and landing dangerously close to the gondola’s edge.
“Zuko!” you yelled, momentarily distracted from the fight. Azula took this chance to kick you down, punching you before kicking you once more when you tried to scramble to your feet. You were sent stumbling against the metal handle that attached the gondola to the cable, gasping in pain as you crashed against it. She grinned widely when your head hit the metal.
You blew your hair out of your face, wincing as you reached up to touch the sore spot on your head and sighing when you noticed the blood on your fingertips.
“You have nowhere to go,” Azula stated, stalking towards you. Blue fire danced at her fingertips, her eyes hungry with anticipation as you struggled to stand. “Such a shame, you could’ve been a great asset to me.”
“I would rather die than join you,” you shot back, finally managing to stand up.
“Fine,” Azula spat, the fire growing as she narrowed her eyes. “Have it your way.”
You closed your eyes and braced yourself, knowing that you were in no shape to block her attack. You felt the heat approaching before it disappeared. Opening your eyes, you gasped softly as you saw Zuko standing in front of you. He sent blasts of fire back at Azula before the gondola swung dangerously, sending them both stumbling.
“They’re about to cut the line!” Ty Lee shouted at Azula.
“Then it’s time to leave,” the princess smirked. “Goodbye Zuko.”
Azula blasted away as Ty Lee backflipped gracefully onto the other gondola. Zuko glared at Azula briefly before rushing to your side, reaching down and gently picking you up.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his face twisting with concern as you stumbled.
“Yeah,” you breathed. “Just peachy.”
You tried to walk on your own only to stumble once more and fall right into Zuko’s arms. You shook your head slightly, trying to walk off once more.
“(Y/N), stop,” Zuko said, scooping your legs up and fully carrying you.
“P-Put me down!” you yelled, drawing Sokka and Suki’s attention.
“Hey! Put her down,” Sokka cried, rushing over to your side. He was stopped when the gondola swayed again.
“Stop struggling,” Zuko hissed, tightening his grip on you. “You can’t walk without stumbling. You probably have a concussion.”
You pouted but stayed silent, knowing that the prince was right. Carefully, he made his way over to the edge of the gondola, noticing that Hakoda was leaning out of the window. Carefully, he handed you down to him, making sure that you were safely inside before swinging himself in as well. Sokka and Suki quickly followed.
“They’re cutting the line,” Zuko stated, exchanging glances with everyone else. “The gondola’s about to go!”
“I hope this thing floats,” Hakoda said, fussing over your head wound as you tried to push him away.
“Hey!” you suddenly cried as the gondola began to move. You glanced out the window. “Who’s that?”
“That’s Mai!” Zuko exclaimed, his eyebrows furrowing as he observed her fighting with the guards.
The gondola made it to the other side without any other mishaps. When you got there, Zuko carefully picked you up once again, making his way out of the gondola. Sokka kept his gaze on him, only looking away when he felt Suki grab his hand. She shook her head at him before looking at you and Zuko. “Calm down. There are worse people she could be with.”
Sokka rolled his eyes at her words before trailing after Zuko, a barely visible smile appearing on his face as he noticed how Zuko was fussing over you as well. Hakoda and Chit Sang tossed the warden back into the gondola before joining the group. They all walked for a while before Zuko paused, standing on the cliff that was overlooking the rest of the volcano.
“What’s wrong Zuko?” you asked quietly, your eyes not leaving his face as he scanned the landscape in front of him. At this point, everyone else had backtracked to where you were standing.
“My sister was on that island,” was his only response.
“Yeah, and she's probably right behind us, so let's not stop!” Sokka said, trying to convince Zuko to keep moving.
“What I mean is she must have come here somehow,” he replied, his eyes still looking around.
“There!” you exclaimed, pointing at a large airship. “That's our way out of here!“
~
The six of you all managed to make it to the airship quickly enough and Zuko quickly lit the fire and guided it away from The Boiling Rock. The atmosphere was lively as everyone tried to catch up with each other, the excitement from the day eventually leaving everyone as the sun began setting. One by one, everyone fell asleep until it was just you and Zuko awake.
You had been looking around the ship, smirking in victory when you found a first aid kit. Silently you wandered out to where Zuko was, trying not to startle him.
“Long night?” you asked, leaning on the wall next to him.
“Someone has to keep the fire going,” he retorted, a faint smile present on his handsome face.
“Can you help me?” you asked quietly, meeting his eyes as he turned to face you. He nodded and you handed him the first aid kit before sitting down in front of him. You flinched slightly as his hand grabbed your jaw, closing your eyes as you reveled in his touch, remaining oblivious to the way his heart was racing at the close proximity. His touch was feather light in comparison to the guard who had grasped your jaw in a similar way back at the Boiling Rock. You snorted softly as you recalled the incident that had taken place a mere day ago; it seemed like it had happened ages ago.
“I’m sorry,” Zuko whispered, tilting your head to get better access to the cut on your head.
“It’s fine, it doesn’t hurt,” you murmured back, eyes still closed.
“Not about that,” Zuko replied, cleaning the wound as best as he could with the supplies you had given him. You hissed softly as he tried to place the bandage on, breathing deeply to try and ignore the pain. “I’m sorry about everything. I’m sorry for hunting the Avatar down and chasing you all around the world. I’m sorry about your mother. I’m sorry for the raids that tore your village apart. I’m sorry that I kept causing you harm even when I had the chance to do good.”
You opened your eyes at his words, reaching up and gently grabbing his hand to bring his attention to you. He could’ve sworn his heart skipped a beat. You stared at him in silence, his golden eyes never leaving yours even as he fidgeted uncomfortably under your gaze. Your face softened as you realized just how full of guilt Zuko really was, your heart aching as you realized that you couldn’t spend any more time hating him. Not when he had already done so much to try and make up for his mistakes.
“No Zuko,” you finally spoke, guiding him to take a seat in front of you. “I’m sorry for being so harsh towards you. You did more than enough to prove that you aren’t the same bratty prince you were when we first met but I wasn’t willing to look past the fact that you were once our enemy. You left the Fire Nation to help Aang and I can’t imagine how hard that was-”
“Trust me,” Zuko interjected, laughing humorlessly. “It wasn’t that hard. My father and sister are horrible people.”
“Still,” you said, leaning in a bit. “They’re your family. Betraying your family isn’t easy, even if you don’t get along with them.”
Silence ensued as Zuko stood up and carefully finished bandaging your cut. He took his seat in front of you once more, watching the fire as you watched him.
“What?” Zuko asked, his cheeks heating up he realized that you were still staring at him.
“Thank you Zuko,” you stated, finally looking away from the golden-eyed boy.
“Don’t thank me,” Zuko replied. “It was Sokka’s idea to break you out.”
“I mean for saving me from Azula,” you whispered, looking back up at him. “She really had me backed into a corner.”
“I wasn’t going to let her hurt you,” Zuko stated, staring into your eyes. “Sokka would’ve killed me if we came all this way just to lose you to her.”
You giggled at his words, causing him to smirk in satisfaction as he realized that he had made you laugh. “He would’ve, wouldn’t he?”
There was another silence before you spoke up again. “In all seriousness, thank you. I never thought that I’d be calling Prince Zuko my hero.”
Zuko gulped as he realized just how close the two of you were. Neither of you made a move to back away and you flushed when you caught yourself glancing at the prince’s lips.
You blushed harder when you realized he had caught you in the act.
“Zuko,” you whispered, squeaking softly when said boy leaned forwards and connected his lips with yours. The kiss was soft and hesitant, with both of you holding your breath as you realized you were kissing each other.
Pulling away, Zuko’s eyes widened. “Oh spirits. I-I’m sorry. I can’t believe I just did th-”
You cut Zuko’s apology off with another kiss, this one a little less awkward. His hand came up and grabbed your waist, pulling you a little closer as his other hand cupped your cheek. Your hand came up to grab his forearm, your brain trying to comprehend the fact that you were kissing Zuko and wondering how in the world he was such a good kisser.
“I thought you said you weren’t dating my daughter.”
The two of you flew apart as you heard Hakoda’s voice.
“D-Dad!” you exclaimed. “We weren’t- I wasn’t-”
Hakoda held up a hand to stop your stuttering. “It doesn’t matter. He risked his life to help your brother break you out of prison which means he’s good in my books. Just please don’t kiss in front of me. And maybe don’t let Sokka find out about this just yet. Good night.”
You turned to Zuko in embarrassment as Hakoda walked away, making eye contact with him before the two of you dissolved into laughter.
“Well that’s one way to get the parent’s approval,” you muttered, smiling at Zuko as he wrapped his arm around your shoulder and pulled you into him.
The two of you spent the rest of the night awake, talking about everything and nothing, stargazing as Zuko kept the flame alive.
“You know, I used to know the moon spirit when she was alive,” you said smugly, glancing up at Zuko as he smiled widely at you.
“Oh really?”
“Yeah! In fact, she was Sokka’s first girlfriend.”
Zuko smiled and pressed another kiss to your lips, smiling softly when he felt your hand come up to his chest.
And in that moment, Zuko knew he had made the right decision by deciding to join the Avatar. After all, if he hadn’t then why would the universe have chosen to reward him with something as amazing as you.

Warnings: fluff, kinda angsty, swearing, bar & alcohol, jealous Harry?, Harry 3rd person centered
A/N: Harry Choi has my soul. You're a judge on M.o.M with Harry and Zen, that's how you met

Tain and Malong drug Harry to Tain’s bar. Harry wasn’t very happy, in fact he was pretty angry. He was excited to spend the day in, no one to bother him, safe under his covers with a book. But no, Tain and Malong had to ruin that.
“They’ll be here.” Tain said. Harry gave him a quizzed look. “You heard me. They’ll be here.”
“Why would I care weather they’re here or not?” Harry asks.
“Oh please.” Malong laughs. “You act the way Tain does around Rachel.”
Harry didn’t answer, he just walked away to get a drink. Tain went to find Rachel, of course. Harry sat at the bar, just minding his own business, somewhat watching the door to see if you were in fact coming.
He saw you come in and look around before Malong approached you. You smiled at him as he led you further into the bar. You talked and joked with everyone, your smile echoed in Harry’s mind. Malong whispered something to you and you smiled, nodding. He got up and held his hand out for you, you quickly took it, and Malong whisked you to the dance floor. A sweet, slow melody was playing, perfect for slow dancing.
By no means we're you the only 2 on the dance floor, there were a few other couples there as well, but Malong was a skilled and graceful dancer. Harry could tell that you 2 were having a deep conversation, but he couldn't make it out. All he saw was your smile.
Harry wasn't a very jealous guy, he never really saw a need for it, but Malong wasn't a bad looking guy. Actually practically every girl fawned over him, he didn't seem to mind though. Malong being attractive didn't matter to Harry, he had the same issue. But it was you dancing and laughing with him that set Harry off.
Why couldn't that be me?
Probably because instead of greeting you, he stayed at the bar and let Malong do it.
Malong leaned down to you, was he whispering or kissing you? He couldn't tell. It made Harry's blood boil.
"Hey, man." Zen said, sitting next to Harry. "Why don't you go say something?"
"They're having a good time." Harry answers. He turned back to the bar.
"Whatever..." Zen sighs, "even though I'm pretty sure they have feelings for you too."
Zen didn't let Harry answer. Which was fine, Harry didn't have anything to say. Zen was a good guy, very observant as well, but Harry couldn't tell if Zen was telling the truth.
As the night went on, Harry got more antsy. Not only was Malong showing interest in you, but so was Zen, Teo, and Jay. Harry stayed at the bar, trying to ignore his anger and jealousy. Eventually he had enough and got up to go to the bathroom as an escape, he noticed you followed him.
"You okay?" You ask. "You seen kind of... Off..."
"Oh come on..." Harry groans, "you and I both know what he was doing."
"No way... You're actually jealous!" You laughed. "I didn't think you were the jealous type."
"What are you laughing at?" He spits. "I don't see anything funny."
"I've never seen you this mad before." You were still laughing.
"I'm not mad."
"Uh huh. Sure, you sure look it."
Was he mad? Maybe he was. You had spent all your night being gawked over and flirted with. He shouldn't be mad, he has no right, he chose to stay at the bar. He knew his friends meant the best, trying to push him into admitting his feelings...
But fuck was it hard.
"I..." Harry began. "I should- I need to say something. I know... I... I like you. A lot..."
"Harry." You start, but he quickly interrupts, trying to finish getting it all out.
"This isn't easy for me." He continued. "But you matter to me. I can't seem to get you off my mind... If I'm being honest I don't think I want to."
It wasn't perfect by any means, if fact it was quite messy. Especially the kiss you gave him.

become a family – a.beauvillier
Tumblr media
You hadn’t meant to keep Gia a secret from your childhood friend, really honestly, you two had just lost touch, and by the time you found out you were pregnant and her dad left, it felt wrong to reach out simply to tell him that. So you didn’t.
But when you found out you were relocating to New York, Long Island specifically. You knew you had no choice but to reach out, it only made sense, it felt wrong not too. “Mommy.” Gia whined, “play!” She demanded with a tilt of her chubby face, motioning to the Minnie Mouse tea set she had sprawled across your tiny unpacked apartment floor. “Just a second baby.” You assured her with a soft laugh, you read the message you had typed out, you let out a deep breath and pushed send before moving to join your daughter on the floor, forcing the thought of checking your phone to the back of your mind.
“Hey, Tito. I know we haven’t spoken in forever, but I’m moving to Long Island, with my daughter, I thought it’d be nice to meet up sometime. Hope all is well!”
When he got the notification from Instagram, both of you long having lost each other’s phone numbers, his heart stopped briefly, he scrambled to unlock his phone, Mat eyeing him suspiciously. Tito read the message at least five times before what you said had processed with him, he clicked on your profile, he hadn’t really paid much attention to your posts, and they were so far and few between, he scrolled to the first one that was baby related.
A picture of your sonogram in front of your crossed legs, your ready to pop stomach on display, “just me and you against the world baby girl.”
Tito’s heart clenched in his chest, guilt, curiosity and sadness running through him, he scrolled to the next, a simple black and white photo of Gia when she was born, the caption only being her date of birth. The next wasn’t for another six months or so, the two of you in a small apartment back home. “Gia and mommy’s first place!”
He went through them all quickly, up to the most recent, from just before you sent the message, you with Gia on your hip, the two and a half year old hanging on tightly to you with a giggle as you grinned at the camera, your keys hanging off your finger. “New beginnings…”
“Tito? Dude, you look like you’ve seen a ghost.” Mat finally spoke up, Tito nodded, “you remember, Y/N? Right?” He questioned his friend, Mat nodded, curiously. “She’s here.” Tito whispered, Mat raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean she's here?” “She moved to Long Island.”
***
You truthfully had forgotten to check your phone that night, you ended up putting Gia to bed late and you simply passed out right after. So when you woke, the memories came flooding back, you rushed to grab your phone, seeing a response on your Instagram.
“Long Island? A kid??? We definitely need to meet up, I’m dying to know everything. Missed you.”
Your heart returned to normal at his response, thankful that he was accepting and not shutting you out.
“Missed you too, you became a big shot! I’m taking Gia to a park down the street from my apartment today, I’ll send you the address if you want to come.”
That’s how you ended up here, pushing your daughter in the swing as she shrieked excitedly. Your laughter echoed through the remotely empty park, your attention solely on her as she had a nervous look on her face as the swing went a little higher, you slowed her down and she resumed her happy shouts. “Y/N.” Tito called, your head snapping in his direction, his hands shoved into his jacket pockets as he looked over at you with a grin, his eyes flickering between you and Gia. “Hi.” You grinned right back at him as he walked over to you, he wrapped his arms around you in a hug as he reached you, Gia slowly coming to a stop in the child swing. “Oh god, it’s been too long.” You spoke, voice muffled by his jacket. “Definitely.” He agreed easily, pulling away as Gia began to fuss. You pulled her out of the swing and she clung to you, eyeing him suspiciously, she was always particularly wary about men. “Hello.” He spoke softly to her, giving her a soft wave. She smiled weakly, hiding her face in your neck. “Say hi, Gia.” You whispered to her, she lifted her head, looking over at Tito who was still smiling fondly at her, “hi, Gia.” She spoke, sending you both into a fit of laughter. “We’re working on it.” You assured him through your giggles, your daughter dramatically hiding again. “That’s ok.” Tito assured you, noticing all the ways Gia resembled you.
“Lunch?” She whispered to you, wiggling to get down, “yes, let’s go.” You led her over to the covered portion of the park, where you had left your things, Tito followed behind you, holding in a chuckle at the way Gia happily ran towards the table, swinging her arms for exaggeration. You sat her up on the bench, sitting beside her and Tito sat across from the two of you, watching you silently, “how have you been?” You started speaking, feeling your skin warm up under his gaze. “Good, yeah, I’ve been good.” He answered, “what about you? Been busy I see.” He joked, Gia glanced up at him as she took a bite of her peanut butter and jelly sandwich. “Yeah, she keeps me on my toes, in the best possible way.” You smiled at your daughter, she happily minded her own business, clueless to half the stuff you two spoke about. You told him about her dad, only using his name so she wouldn’t be confused, already learning that she didn’t have the two parents that some of her other friends have.
Jesse, you never expected him to work out long term, but you never expected to get pregnant either. Long story short, you told him and you gave him the option to not be involved, but he had to be committed to being a co parent or nothing at all. He chose the latter, and never looked back.
“That’s-“ “it’s good, I think, he wouldn’t have been able to stay committed.” You cut Tito off, not needing the apology speech again. He nodded, moving past the subject, a large grin started etching across his face as Gia tugged on your sleeve. You leaned down and smiled as she whispered to the best of her ability, “share?” She asked you, Tito cocked his head to the side as you nodded and leaned away. Gia grabbed one of her fruit gummies and held it out to Tito. “Share.” She mumbled cutely, smiling shyly with her head tilted down a little, just like you do. Tito gasped dramatically, placing a hand over his heart, “thank you!” He took it from her and popped it in his mouth, earning a genuine laugh from her that made his heart sore. Already so in love with your daughter and wanting nothing but the best for both of you. She tried to offer him more but he sweetly told her no, and that she should eat her lunch, she listened and continued snacking away. “Has she been to a game?” Tito asked you with a wicked grin, “no, actually, I haven’t been to a game since I had her.” You admitted, cringing as he gaped at you, muttering in French under his breath.
“I’m getting you tickets.” He spoke, already pulling his phone out, “what? No, Tito.” You rushed feeling guilty,
“Yes.” He stuck his tongue out at you, typing away on his phone before asking for your phone number to send you the info. You gave it to him, knowing he would just be stubborn anyways. “Thank you. Really. She’ll have a blast, I’m sure.” You spoke as you opened your phone to look at what he sent you, “Anthony!” You scolded, Gia jumping in her spot next to you, “Y/N!” He mimicked, giggling at your daughter who glared at him. “That’s too much, those seats are–“ “Those seats are necessary.” He cut you off, “it’s final. No take backs.” He teased, much like he did when the two of you were younger. You sighed, shaking your head with a small smile, “fine, you better win, for her.” You told him, motioning to Gia who was getting sleepier by the second. “I should take her home.” You added as she yawned, her head resting against her arms on the table. He smiled at her eyes fluttering shut, “yeah, but I’ll see you at the game, right?” He raised an eyebrow as he stood up, you nodded, moving to give him a hug goodbye.
You watched with a bursting heart as he pushed some of Gia’s hair back, leaving a feathery light kiss to her full cheek, “bye, sweetheart.” He whispered, she whined, nestling further into herself. You wiped at your eyes once he was no longer facing you, the sight before you simply pulling on your heart strings.
***
You adjusted the jerseys on yours and Gia’s bodies, the both of you wearing jeans with them. She smiled at the excitement on your face, “do you remember mommy’s friend we met yesterday, Tito?” You questioned her as you walked hand in hand to the elevator, she looked up at you curiously, “we’re going to see him do his job, you get to watch them play hockey.” You explained to her, she simply smiled, all oblivious to what you meant, but she got excited because you were excited. “Teo.” She spoke, an attempt at his name, not very good but adorable nonetheless. You whipped your phone out, squatting down in the elevator, you started recording her, “who are we going to see?” You asked her, she shook her head happily, her pigtails bouncing around, “teo!” She said proudly, clapping for herself. “Tito, good job.” You praised her before ending the clip, you sent it to him with a thumbs up before continuing to acknowledge Gia’s babbling.
He responded quicker than you thought he would, “I guess I’ve grown on her.” He sent a heart afterwards, presumably putting his phone away for the night to prepare for the game.
Gia whined as she clung to you, terrified of all the people surrounding the both of you, “it’s alright honey.” You shushed her as you slowly inched forward in the line, she nodded against you, arms wrapped around your neck and legs trying to wrap around your waist. You thanked the person as they scanned your tickets, letting you two begin the journey to your overpriced glass side seats. You were relieved to see they had already begun warm ups so she would be distracted by them, once she adjusted to her surroundings you knew she’d be fine. “Look baby, see how fast they go.” You held her up, pointing out to the ice, she instantly became mesmerized by them whizzing by. You sighed in relief as you tried to spot the oh so familiar number 18. The two of you wearing jerseys with his name, something you knew he would get a charge out of, as long as you could remember, you would wear his number to his games. And now would be no different.
You spotted him at the same time he spotted you, a bright smile coming over his face as he flicked a puck up and caught it in his hand, skating over to you. He waved at you and Gia and she grinned, recognizing him and suddenly no longer being shy as she tapped on the glass with an amused smile. “Hi!” She shrieked, earning a laugh from him. He motioned the puck in his hand and you nodded, easily catching it as he tossed it over, handing it to Gia who stared at it in amazement, “good luck.” You mouthed, fist bumping the glass like you did as a teenager, he grinned and did the same before skating off, some of his friends nudging him and asking questions as you settled into your seat for the night.
Gia enjoyed the game and the loud sounds more than you thought she would, she adjusted quickly to the slamming of the boards, if anything, you think that may have been her favorite part.
Once the game was over, you were directed by Tito to tell one of the arena employees your name and they’d bring you down to see him. Much to your surprise, it worked, Gia was antsy to be let down to run around, and thankfully the person leading you through the huge building was a sweet young girl, probably your age, who was just absolutely loving Gia. “Just go to the right, and stop at the double doors.” She explained to you as the elevator came to a stop, “thank you.” You smiled, ushering Gia onto the concrete floor, her laughter echoing as she had some room to run around and burn up some of her energy. You were speed walking behind her just to keep up with her little legs, “baby, hang on!” You called, sighing as you rushed to grab her, just in time too as the doors opened and a couple of guys walked out, thankfully Tito was one of them. “Hey.” You breathed out, Gia looked over, “teo!” She ran over to him, putting her arms up, he looked at you for approval, “oh, of course.” You gave him a look, as if you wouldn’t trust him with your daughter. He easily lifted her up, smile widening when she wrapped her little arms around him. A stark difference to her greeting yesterday. “You must be, Y/N.” One of them spoke to you as Gia began babbling to Tito who nodded along enthusiastically. “I am.” You responded, shaking his hand, “Mat.” He grinned, you nodded knowingly, “I know, I follow the sport.” You teased him, earning a snicker from Tito as he walked over to you. “Hey.” He mumbled, giving you a one armed hug as Gia refused to leave his hold. You lightly tickled your daughter as she hid in his neck from all the other guys. “You played good.” You assured him, he smiled softly in return before introducing you to some of his teammates, laughing when you became all shy, staying close to him and your daughter. You answered all the questions they threw at you, not noticing Gia was drifting off on Tito’s shoulder until she was already out like a light.
***
It’s been about 6 weeks since that game, the season kicking into full gear, Tito traveling very often but still coming over to see you guys when he wasn’t on the road, and today, he was coming over for the first time in two weeks, and Gia had no idea. The relationship between them was more than you could ever ask for, even yours and Tito’s relationship had changed, it wasn’t even spoken, it just happened, one night as he was leaving after you put Gia down. You leaned up to kiss his cheek but he turned, not knowing what you were doing. You both jumped back, muttering apologies, but you kept your hands on his chest, slowly you inched back together, your lips coming together softly.
Then it became more often, sneaking in kisses here or there, I miss you texts, phone calls. And now, now you were bouncing with excitement just to see him.
Tito knocked on the door with a wide smile, excited to see his two favorite girls, that thought running through his head the whole trip back, in his mind, he wanted to call you his, but he knew he hadn't even spoken to you about what this was.
You rushed over to open the door, Gia only just waking from her nap, “hi.” You whispered immediately being engulfed in his arms, yours going to wrap around his neck. “I missed you.” He admitted into your hair, kissing the side of your head, “I missed you too.” You assured him, leaning away to meet his eyes, something went unspoken between you two as he pulled you in for a kiss. This one was different though, more powerful than the rest had been. You sighed against him, melting into his hold as you kissed him back slowly, not wanting to rush the moment. “Tito.” You went to speak after you pulled back to breathe, “yeah, I know.” He murmured, pecking your lips again before finally stepping all the way inside. “Is she sleeping?” He frowned, wanting to see her, “she’s starting to wake up, I heard her fussing.” You explained, neither of you making any effort to untangle yourselves. “Would you want to go out with me sometime? Like a date.” Tito asked, you nodded instantly, “can’t we just count all the times you’ve stayed over here late as dates?” You teased, instantly making him relax. “Well, then I think it’s fine if I do this, as much as I want.” He joked, kissing you again, squeezing your hips.
“I think so too.” You agreed, pulling away once you heard Gia climbing out of her bed. “Gia, I have a surprise!” You called, hearing her giggle and run down the hall, she saw you and then she saw Tito standing beside you. What neither of you expected was the word about to come out of her mouth, “daddy!” You nearly passed out right there, literally swaying and having to grip Tito for stability. She hugged his legs, looking up at him with a grin. “Tito.” He corrected her gently, lifting her up once you regained your composure. “Hi, sweet girl.” He tickled her sides as he hugged her tightly, her laughter filling the room, you smiled at the sight, hoping that one day this would become a reality.
****
“Rough day?” You questioned Gia as she dramatically huffed and sat at the kitchen counter beside her sister. “Yes.” Gia spoke with a sigh, you held back your laughter, knowing that 1st grade could just be oh so difficult, Tito walked in a moment after with her backpack and lunch box, smiling at you as you held the two month old to your chest. He walked over to the girls, laughing at the bored expression on Gia’s face as she watched her two year old sister munch away on her fruit, “hi princess.” Tito greeted Sadie with a kiss to the head, before making his way over to you, kissing your lips and whispering a hello before taking the baby from you. He smiled as Cade gripped his finger tightly, looking up at his dad with the bright blue eyes that they shared. “Daddy, can we go for ice cream tonight?” Gia pouted at him, using the look she got from you that made him cave immediately. He glanced at you, who nodded, “only because it’s friday.” He pointed an accusing finger at her, watching as her annoyed expression broke into a smile. “Thank you!” She sang happily bounding to her room upstairs. You laughed at the sigh he let out, “Aw, did you have a rough day too, honey?” You teased, resting your head on his chest as he wrapped his free arm around you, Sadie coughing for attention and succeeding as you both looked over to make sure she wasn’t choking. She only smiled, Tito’s smile as she continued to eat her blueberries slowly, you glared lightly at her as she giggled. “I did have a rough day, thanks for asking.” He mused.
“My wife didn’t text me once all day.” He pouted at you, “I’m so sorry, I assumed you would be busy working and all.” You laughed at him, cupping his stubbled jaw, “how ever did you survive?” You asked with fake concern. “I’m not really sure. But I did, and I lived long enough to pick her up from school, I’ve earned my ice cream.” He quipped.

P146 そうしたら私の猫をダシにしてリュウカンを連れ出そうとする輩がいると兵が教えてくれたものでね。 Upon arriving I was informed by a guard that a group of people had come to take Liukan away on the pretext of treating my cat.
残念ながら、私の猫はぴんぴんしてます。解放軍のツキも落ちましたね」 Unfortunately for you, my darling kitty cat is the picture of health. Looks like your feint failed, hm?”
ミルイヒが不敵に笑った。 Milich smiled coldly.
ミルイヒは二重扉のちょうど真ん中辺りの壁に、寄り掛かっていた。 He was leaning against the wall between the double set of doors.
レバーを上げられたら、扉を閉じられたら慌てて床を蹴り、ティルが扉の外側に出る。 "If he pulls that lever, if those doors close—” Panicked, Tir dashed to the outer door.
しかしミルイヒはその場から動こうとせず、ちらりとティルを見やってこう言った。 Milich, however, didn’t budge an inch. He just glanced at Tir.
「おや、これはテオの息子のティル・マクドール。皇帝陛下に逆らうとは、お父様が泣いていますよ」 “And what do we have here? Why, if it isn’t Teo’s boy, Tir McDohl. You’ve been naughty, betraying the Emperor and making your daddy cry.”
「なっ、何を!!」痛いところを突かれ、思わずティルは叫んでしまった。 “Wh-what?!” Spluttered Tir, caught off guard. Milich’s remark had touched a nerve.
その横から、ビクトールが剣をかざして歩み出る。 Viktor followed at his side, his sword out.
「いいところで会ったぜ。そっちからのこのこ出てきてくれるなんて、手間が省けてありがたい。ここで決着をつけようじゃないか」 “Good timing. Why dont’cha come on out from your hidey-hole and save us some trouble. Let’s settle the score right here!”
「おやおやこれは野蛮なことを」 “Good heavens, how uncivilized.”
壁から身体を離し、ミルイヒがティルたちに向き直る。 Pushing off from the wall, Milich turned to face them directly.
「剣の腕で遅れはとりませんが、あいにく今はそういう気分ではないので。その代わりと言ってはなんですが……」 “While I’m not too shabby with a sword, if I do say so myself, I’m afraid I’m not in the mood to play today. However, I did bring you a little something…”
ミルイヒがごぞごぞとポケットをまさぐる。 He reached his hand into his pocket.
P147 「あなたたちにはこれを差し上げます。見えますか?このビンが」 “Can you see this vial?”
ミルイヒが高々と挙げた手には、小さなビンが握られていた。 He held his hand aloft, a small bottle held between his fingers.
蝋燭の明かりが弱くよく見えないが、粉のようなものが入っているようだ。 It was difficult to make out in the wavering candlelight but it looked like the vial held something like pollen.
「チッ、また痺れる花粉じゃねえだろうな?!」ビクトールが言った。 “Tsk, that ain’t more paralyzin’ pollen?!” Viktor growled.
「残念、ハズレです。このビンには可愛い僕、私が苦心して作り出した胞子が入っています」 “Nope! No gold star for you. Inside this vial are my darling servants, the spores I’ve worked so hard to create.”
「胞子だと?」剣を携えフリックも前に出た。 “Spores?” echoed Flik, stepping forward with his sword at the ready.
「そうですよ。凄いですよ。この胞子はね、人間を食べちゃうんです。人食い胞子ですね。まだ実験段階なのて半日しか生きられませんが、それだけあれば十分でしょう」 “Yes, that’s right. They are simply amazing. These spores eat human flesh, you see. Human-eating spores. Marvelous, isn’t it? They’re still in the experimental stage so they can only live for about half a day, but that should be more than enough for now.”
「なんだって?! そんなものをどうする気だ?!」フリックが叫ぶと同時に、ミルイヒはすっと後退った。 “What?!” Shouted Flik in alarm. “What the hell are you going to do with that?!” Milich quickly took a step back.
そしてティルたちを見据え、ニヤリと笑った。 He stared fixedly at Tir and the others, his lips peeled back in a sneer.
「こうします」 “This.”
ミルイヒがビンを握った手を振り下ろす。ビンが床に叩きつけられ、砕け散る。 He flung down the vial, smashing it on the floor.
「割れちゃいました。さあ、早く逃げないと危ないですよ。もちろんあなたたちの後ろは行き止まりの牢獄ですから、同じことですけどね」 “Oops, silly me. I’ve gone and broken it. These spores are quite dangerous so you might want to run. Of course, there’s nothing behind you but the prison, so it’s really all the same—a deadend, either way… if you’ll pardon the expression.”

Midnight moments with DKB
DKB Masterlist                                           Group Masterlist
E-Chan/Changmin:
Tumblr media
After having an incredibly active day, it can just be so hard to calm down and just go to sleep. Changmin was having one of those days, coming home to you late and just needing help to unwind before bed. So your fingers were threaded through his hair as he allowed himself to snuggle into your chest.
“Today was long and I did so much that I have surpassed tired.” He mumbled as you pushed his hair fully out of his face, making him laugh and lean up to kiss you. “Surpassed tired?” You asked with a soft smile and he yawned, contradicting his own words. Changmin laughed again and laid his head down on your chest again, a silent plea for you to pet his hair again.
“Okay maybe I haven’t surpassed tired. But one more hour of work and I would’ve.”
D1/Dongil:
Tumblr media
You hated this, you absolutely hated this so much. But it made him happy, so here you were, watching a horror movie with your face tucked behind a pillow. It really confused you how Dongil could be so unbothered, even though it was late at night and this scary thing was playing.
“Come here.” He said, taking one glance at you and noticing how scared you were. When you didn’t move right away, he leaned over and wrapped an arm around you to pull you into him. “I told you, you don’t have to watch if it’s too scary.” He said with a sigh, feigning annoyance at how scared you were. “But you want to watch it, so I want to watch it.” You said only to scream when a jumpscare happened. Dongil started laughing and tucked you further into his chest.
“Just know that Harry-June didn’t get this treatment when we watched a horror movie, this treatment is reserved for you.”
Teo/Seongsik:
Tumblr media
“I brought you with me so that we could both work out. Because you asked.” Seongsik said, leaning against the treadmill you were simply standing on and watching him from. “That was the plan, but I decided that I liked watching you more.” You said and he shook his head, going back to the weight bench.
You followed him and stood in front of him as he got ready to do more reps with weights. “What?” He smiled, just blinking up at you with a smile. “How about you stop and we go watch a movie...it’s late” You suggested, crossing your arms and he cocked an eyebrow at you. He let go of the weights before grabbing your hand and pulling you into his lap.
“How about, you let me do 2 more sets while you watch me closely of course and then we go home and watch a movie... deal?”
GK/Gwanghyun:
Tumblr media
“I think I went a little overboard.” Gwanghyun said as he walked into the living room carrying bags and bags of takeout. “You think? It’s just the two of us. We’re gonna have to wake the others up to finish this.” You said as he laid it out on the coffee table in front of you before sitting down himself. “I mean you said you wanted a snack.” He said and you smacked him lightly as he pulled your legs into his lap.
“I said snack, not enough to feed a family of 12.” He shook his head at your words before opening up a box of chicken. He lifted it to your mouth and took a bite, making him nod in approval before handing it to you and digging in himself. “Thank you for keeping me well fed. But I can’t eat all of this.” You said, kissing his cheek and he blushed.
“That’s okay. But let’s not call the boys until we’re done otherwise you will still be hungry.”
Heechan:
Tumblr media
“Am I alone in the practice room? Yeah I’m alone.” Heechan smiled at you behind the phone knowingly. He had a late night live to do but you were allowed to join in as long as you made yourself unknown. So there you were watching him dance around and fool around, really itching to join in but you knew better.
Covering your mouth as he made stupid jokes so that you would laugh, he had to hold back too. You were sat on the other end of the table and he extended his hand just out of view and just far enough for you to be able to hold onto it. He could feel his cheeks heat up as he looked back at the comments under his live.
“Yeah guys, I’m really happy today. You saw that correctly. I should do late night lives more often.”
Lune/Sungmin:
Tumblr media
“There are more colors than just black. I think baby blue, or even pink would look really good on you.” You said as you watched him scroll through his cart from some online store. “I know, but black just looks the best. I mean, I always look good and I almost always wear black.” You smacked him lightly at his arrogance only for him to laugh.
You gently took his phone out of his hands and turned it off. It was a little after midnight and you just wanted some of his attention, which he gladly redirected to you. “Am I not giving you enough attention?” He asked, cocking an eyebrow to you. You nodded and he cupped your cheeks before kissing your nose.
“Guess that means I have to let you pick what we’re going to watch, to make it up to you.”
Junseo:
Tumblr media
Your laughter was the only thing filling the basketball court, along with the dribbling of the ball on the pavement. It really wasn’t that fair, Junseo was most definitely using his size against you in this one on one game. Especially when you were about to throw the ball and he simply picked you up and moved you to the other side of the court.
“I don’t where in the rule book it says it, but I’m almost 100% it is cheating to do that.” You said as he laughed. “There are no rules after midnight.” Junseo said and took the ball from you, leaving you to chase him down the court. “Fine, fine. I’ll make it up to you. Let’s go home. Hop on.” He said, stopping and gestured for you to get on his back. You did so, kissing his cheek from behind as you settled on his back.
“The boys never get this special treatment.”
Yuku:
Tumblr media
“Okay, your turn.” You said and handed him the pencil and the ipad. You were doing that thing, where you draw one thing and the other person adds something to it, back and forth. Yuku started laughing at the ears you had added onto his circle before he sketched out some eyes.
“These just keep getting worse the more we do.” He laughed and you agreed, resting your head on his shoulder. Yuku adjusted your blanket that you were sharing so that you were more covered and cozy before continuing to draw. You were so comfortable, you couldn’t help but yawn. It was late, you really should’ve gone home by then but you were just having so much fun with him. Yuku could tell, but he didn’t want you to leave either, so he simply kept sketching as you slowly drifted to sleep.
“I don’t like it when you leave, so just take a nap and I’ll create more cursed drawings.”
Harry-June:
Tumblr media
“I found this song too the other day.” He said, playing it on the speakers in the practice room. You started bopping your head to the hiphop beat as it started and looked at his goofy smile as he started vibing with the music. He was having a late night practice session and wanted some company, so here you were and you were having a fun time.
“Okay, okay, but try this song.” You said and changed the song playing over the speakers before laying your head in his lap. Who needed chairs when hanging out on the floor was just as comfortable. He started moving again, making you laugh at his movements before he leaned down and kissed your head.
“I love that you have a good taste in music. Means we are going to get along for a very long time.”

Note
I remember a long time ago you said you wrote about darling meeting the child version of the yan boys, are you going to post that?, pls don't make it sad, I just want to give them some hugs.
Tumblr media
Oooh let’s play with this a little bit I have some childhood friend au stuff in my drafts that I might finish that touch on more child versions of the yan boys but for now have this
Decided to do my two favorite families
Warning this contains: sprinkles of sadness
Tumblr media
“I will explain the rules one more time, you get to go back to meet them, no one else but them can see you so you’ll be stealing the role as their imaginary friend that way they won’t freak out when they see you~ try not to mess around with things back there too much okay?”
You listened to the demon speaking and a nervous feeling bubbles over you, you were absolutely curious and slightly scared.
“Whose past do you want to visit”
You took a deep breath, closed your eyes and chose…
Hikaru:
You looked around, was this a beach? There wasn’t really anyone else there but you soon heard a loud laughing that made you perk up. “Seashells seashells shiny pretty seashells~” you heard happy singing nod followed it seeing a little child putting seashells in a bucket.
“What are you doing there?” You asked softly as you kneeled down, Hikaru looked up at you with a curious gaze before a bright smile appeared on his face and he went back to looking for seashells.
“I’m looking for seashells cause I’m making a seashell necklace!” He cheered out with a happy little humming. “A seashell necklace? Why?” You asked out making him huff “you’re so silly! It’s so I can lure a mermaid and marry her!” He said proudly.
His statement made you laugh as you reached out and poked his chubby cheek “why do you want a mermaid bride huh? What about me? Do I make a pretty bride?” You asked jokingly. He looked at you with a hum before reading into the bucket and seashells, now taking out a shiny one before handing it to you.
“You would make a pretty bride! But you’re not a mermaid..mama said that mermaids have pretty voices! I wanna sing with one!” He cheered out with a grin.
“Hikaru, come on we’re leaving!” A distant voice called for him making him jolt before he started to run off now hugging the bucket close. He stopped before looking back at you “if I can’t find a mermaid I’ll just marry you so don’t get old and gross!” He called out before waving and rushing away.
Yuuji and Yuuta:
You opened your eyes, now sitting on a bed seeing two kids sitting on the floor…why were they in this room alone?
“Yumi and yachi! You aren’t getting what you want by starving yourselves now open this door!” You heard kenji’s voice now moving to the floor with the two boys. “Why are you two doing this?” You asked out and they looked at you before an expression of familiarity covered their faces.
“Papa is being a meanie and doesn’t wanna call us by our new names” Yuuta hissed out. “We won’t leave til we get what we want!” Yuuji snapped out. “Oh? How long has it been?” You asked curiously.
“Two days..” Yuuta said with a whimper “y-Yuuji, d-do you think mommy misses us?” He asked softly with a pouty expression. Yuuta gulped “o-of course! She has to!” He chimed out, you didn’t realize just how hard the boys had to work to get the acceptance they deserved.
“B-but mommy is having the baby s-soon so what if she replaces us c-cause we are bad kids?!” Yuuta said before starting to cry. Yuuji hugged him close “s-she w-wouldn’t do that! She loves us!” Yuuji said firmly.
You reached out pulling both boys in for a tight hug, a shaky sigh escaping you “your parents must really miss you, maybe you should tell them how you feel” you said softly.
“We should tell him how we feel!” Yuuji chimed out with a grin
“Papa..?” Yuuta called out, hearing shuffling “yeah?” Kenji said softly with a soft sniffle..was he crying?
“Me and Yuuji don’t wanna be girls anymore, can we be boys instead..please?” He said softly.
There was a few moments of silence before a soft chuckle escaped kenji “Yuuta..Yuuji, please come out and eat, momma and papa misses their boys”
You watched at Yuuji rushed to the door opening it seeing Kenji was sitting on the ground outside the door. The two nearly tackled the male hugging him tightly.
Kenji hugged them tightly peppering kisses all over their faces “god I was so damn worried, don’t worry me like that..I’m getting old yknow don’t scare your papa like that” he said softly.
Seeing this made you really curious..is this why the twins defended and protected their father so much? You had a lot of questions.
Mateo:
The sounds of loud cheering made you flinch, the sight of kids swimming made you focus. You saw mateo, he was winning. Before you could process your mind you found yourself yelling “you got this baby!” You cheered out before realizing the situation you were in. You were so used to cheering for him during his games that it came natural.
You noticed mateo slowed down, the adrenaline stopping for just a moment before he kept going but it was too late, he ended up getting second place. The sight of him being upset as he stared at the medal, tears blurring his vision.
“You shouldn’t cry, you were so amazing” you said softly as you kneeled down looking at the boy. He sniffles and wipes his tears only for more to fall “I-I got tired, I-I forgot to breathe like I’ve been practicing..I-I forgot..I always forget” mateo sobbed out, his wailing growing louder and louder. “Mama and papa couldn’t even show up, I-i t-tried my best a-and-” you pulled him in for a hug, hands shaking lightly. He was so fragile..it made your heart hurt.
“you did the best you could, you always do your best. Didn’t you have fun?” You said softly as you looked at him, mateo glanced down with a sniffle before nodding slowly. “Y-yeah, s-swimming is always fun” he said softly as he messed with the medal around his neck.
“Then, be proud. You were amazing mateo! You went so fast!” You cheered out, your excited tone made him even more excited “r-really?! Hehe! I was like zoom! Super zoom!” He chimed out.
“Teo!” The sound of Dante’s voice made mateo perk up “ah! Dante!” He cheered out, you softly nudged mateo forward “tell him how fast you went” you said softly, watching mateo rush off nearly tipping from utter excitement.
Tiago:
You expected a young tiago to be just like his normal self, gentle and soft maybe even quiet. You definitely weren’t expecting the first sight you saw was a young tiago to be climbing trees and jumping off them. “Wow you’re like Tarzan huh?” You asked out as you watched him with a grin.
“Tarzan got nothing on me!” He cheered out happily, apparently him and his parents were on a cabin vacation to relax his mom before the baby comes. “Oh yeah?” You cooed out with a grin “but Tarzan has a Jane, you don’t have that” you teased making him stop and pause. Tiago sat on a branch and gave a soft hum.
“Okay you’ll be my Jane!” He cheered out before standing ontop of the branch. “That way I’m still better than Tarzan” he chimed out as he held his arms out now walking along the thick branch.
“I dunno if I wanna be Jane.” You said jokingly, Tiago huffs “too late! You’re Jane! I already decided! No take backs!” He said stubbornly. Seeing Tiago like this made you really happy, he is never this carefree and bubbly with you in present time.
“Hmm okay Tarzan, what’s your favorite animal?”
“Ha! That’s easy! Dogs are the best things in the world! They are so loyal and you can sit on their back and use them as horses!” He chimed out, now balancing on one foot as he stood on the branch.
“You shouldn’t actually do that, just ride a horse” you mumbled out making him huff as he looked at you “I never rode a real horse before” he said softly before a cracking noise got your attention. “H-hey you should get down”
“No way! Tarzan would never-” the branch snapped and Tiago came falling down, in a surge of panic you caught him both of you falling down as Tiago sat on your chest now shaking.
“T-that was..so cool! You’re the coolest Jane ever!” He cheered out with a large smile, you on the other hand did not find that cool and glared lightly at tiago..maybe it’s better if he wasn’t this hyper in present times.
“Be careful next time yeah?” You said softly as you sat up now messing with his hair. Tiago looked at you in utter awe before he heard his father calling him.
He got off you before sticking his tongue out at you “blehhh! Bye Jane! Let’s play again okay?” He said happily before running off “papa! papa! I climbed a tree!”
Zeke:
“I don’t think you should be doing this” you said softly to zeke as he placed the Last pot on the ground before grabbing the wooden spoons. “Mama is at work and papa is taking a nap, it’s okay! Plus I wanna play drums” Zeke said before starting to bang the spoon against the pots loudly.
You flinched and winced, the loud noise would definitely get him in huge trouble. You softly grabbed his hands stopping him “how about we do something else instead? You like music yeah? How about we sing?” You said nervously with a smile.
Zeke stared at you before humming and nodding “okay! Let’s sing!” He cheered out happily. You and zeke ended up singing a bunch of different songs before you found yourself humming to zeke as he laid his head in your lap. You ran your fingers through his hair as you started to sing him a lullaby.
“You sound so pretty, like an angel!” Zeke said excitedly before gasping “wait are you an angel?! Can I see your wings?!” He said now sitting up and staring at you. You laughed and glanced away “sorry don’t have wings, if I did you would know” you said softly making him groan as he laid his head back in your lap “boo I wanted to see angel wings, but I guess it’s okay if you aren’t an angel..” he said softly before looking up at you
“Sing me another song!” He cheered out, you simply couldn’t say no to his adorable face so you did just that. You felt his body grow heavier as he slowly fell asleep from you singing.
Dante:
“Why do they say that they are mad? They don’t look angry” dante said as he laid on his stomach reading Alice in wonderland.
“Well mad is another word for crazy” you said softly with a smile, watching him flip the page “why does Alice wanna go home so bad, wonderland is so cool!” He cheered out happily with a smile. “Well she misses her family, wouldn’t you miss your family if you went away somewhere?” You asked him curiously. Dante paused the think before nodding “yeah, I’ll miss Mama and pap and Tiago!” He huffed out as he sat up.
“If i go to wonderland I’ll just take them with me!” He cheered out with a smile, you laughed and sat next to him “I don’t think it works like that” you said softly. He hummed before looking at you “then I’ll bring you! So I won’t be lonely and by myself!” He cheered out with a grin.
He was far too adorable! How was dante this cute as a kid?! “Oh? Okay we’ll go to wonderland one day!” You said excitedly, making the boy stand on his bed “yeah! We’ll drink tea with the mad hatter ooh and paint the roses red!” He exclaimed excitedly, now Jumping on the bed. “It would be like a dream!” He added as he sat back down before a moment of silence came over him.
“If we go to wonderland will you promise not to leave me alone in there, it’s a big biiig place” he said softly as he grabbed your hand giving it a small squeeze. You hugged him with a soft sigh “I promise! We’ll hold hands the entire time so we won’t get lose or separated!”
“Hold hands? Okay!” He cheered out. You spent the rest of the time talking to him about the things he loves like Soccer, fantasy stories and music. He had so much energy and passion that you couldn’t help but sit there and listen to Every word
