my secret confession is i think a lot of current art in comics is pretty but sometimes way too glossy and lifeless... it kinda feels like a sticker sheet where they just swap out generic stock poses that they have on hand for that character rather than the art being reflective of the actual story and moment the character is currently in

Guess who got their brain rewired playing Pentiment?

I went with the "Working in London" background option for Andreas in Act 2 and I couldn't help imagining if the timelines might have intersected with Anne Boleyn's return to the English court in 1522... so I tried to depict Mistress Boleyn in the game's style as a maid-of-honour before her rise.

(Also, I just happened to play Pentiment for the first time during the unofficial Anne Boleyn month of May, so this feels all the more fitting)

i'm getting a lot of tiktok content for junk journalling and i just find it really funny how the really obvious influencer videos are just like. not really junk journalling. because they're not using garbage, they're using scrapbooking materials that they bought from some online store that Look vaguely used. aesthetically pleasing garbage. and them trying to influence me to buy it does absolutely fuck all for me as a result

okay mutuals. you're reading a 1970s/80s comic. the original issue has darker, richer colors but clear aging and the lines/details are fuzzy. the tpb has sharp and clean lines but the colors are flat and dull. which are you reading?

‘Come one, come all’. I created this piece referencing being autistic and how when you are autistic, sometimes you find yourself in situations where allistic people see you as mere entertainment, like a puppet they can manipulate to do whatever, whenever. I made this sort of poster for my art class and thought it was kinda cool so I thought I’d share it on here!
