If anyones like me and likes to build houses for your sims but struggle without a floor plan I just wanted to share this site as a great source, it's called ClickAmericana. Obviously it's limited to American style homes from the 1920's to the 1960's but I found some really nice homes on there for my sims. I also like the fact that I can find smaller more low budget homes on there as a lot of sites or movies I source for inspiration are usually on the bigger and more exspensive side, which can be fun now and then but I really prefer smaller family homes personally when playing. Makes my gamplay sooo much easier. Anyway just wanted to share for any Sims builders out there who like to use floor plans🙌

Imagine embarking on a brand-new build from scratch, striving to capture the essence of a bygone era. This was the challenge faced by the architects at Historical Concepts and interior designer Barbara Westbrook when they were summoned by a couple of antique enthusiasts yearning for a quieter life away from the bustling city. They had recently acquired their dream property in South Carolina's Low Country, a historic land granted by King Charles II of England in 1697. Thus, they were determined to craft a dreamy country home that harmonised with the historical context.

The homeowners had a deep appreciation for history, and it was essential for them that their new house seamlessly melded with its centuries-old surroundings.

To achieve this vision, the team meticulously studied nearby historic homes, cherry-picking elements such as scullery rooms and pergola porches that suited modern living. The use of authentic materials was a cornerstone of their approach. For instance, the 200-year-old heart pine floors were sourced from a defunct New England textile factory. The salvaged planks were installed with the original nail holes still visible, some even filled with wine corks to evoke the ambiance of an early 19th-century structure.

The synergy between weathered architecture and timeless design elements results in a house that oozes a new "old" style. So, whether you reside in the countryside or the heart of a bustling city, you can still infuse your own abode with the best of both worlds.
