HOW TO SWITCH BACK TO OLD TUMBLR LAYOUT.

YES, theres a fix, and sadly no, it isnt xkit. its a google extension called 'stylus' with this specific code

tutorial: step 1 - install the stylus extension

step 2 - go to "Old Tumblr Dashboard (July 2023) by Pixiel" (already linked) and hit install on that. you will be met with a page that looks like this

copy and paste ALL OF IT, even the part that says "/*Dont touch this its needed*/ }}" (seems obvious but some people miss it! no judgement here!)

step 3 - in your extensions bar, click on stylus. you'll be met with these options

step 4 - select "manage"

then, you will meet a page like this.

from here, you're going to want to click on "write new styles". you'll be met with a box that looks like this.

go ahead an copy and paste the code into that box. when doing so, you'll be met with these options. go ahead and click "overwrite style"

in the top left hand corner where the red box is, go ahead and type "Tumblr" and hit "save"

and with these simple steps, you can turn this

into this!

like, obviously what OP said. if you force your religion down somebodies throat the way catholics and christians do-- you have no right to be upset. 

but this is completely ignoring the fact thats CHRISTIANS AND CATHOLICS ARE NOT THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO USE ROSARY BEADS.

rosary beads are an important practice of a multitude of cultures, to name simply a few, paganism, buddism, islam.

in fact, the earliest record of rosaries we have is from the prehistoric settlement of Akrotiri, Santorini (Thera,) Greece from the 17th c. BC (c. 1613 BC.).

so not ONLY are they shoving their religion down their throat, theyre making assumptions about what my beaded necklace means. they ASSUME they’re ALL prayer beads, and that they all tie back to THEM.  its very.,....exceptionalism thinking and i do NOT like it, at all. 

Hey just a reminder that cultural appropriation taboos should not apply to religions like Christianity that repeatedly force themselves down the throat of basically all societies. no, because its true. minors, please listen up. when i was younger i used to make whole ass posts talking about how i didnt care if they had my data because it was all a joke to me. and 5 years ago, it was just a bit less intrusive than it is now. but had i known sooner what these companies ACTUALLY WANTED TO DO?  they dont want to sit there and look through it. they’re not looking for personal information, or anything that YOU will find relevant at the moment. it’s not until it DOES start to become a burden to your life that you start to care. and at that point? its ALMOST too late.  start early. research what they’re doing with this data. your personal data isnt being looked over, but your general data, cookies, and other information IS being sold to companies you may not agree with! they may be used to target ads that go against your beliefs! its SO SO SO IMPORTANT to know who is collecting your data, and who its being sent to. do you do a ton of research on lgbtq+ topics? well, now they know that about you and can use it against you. what about shopping? do you like to online shop a lot? they’re scalping that data so they know what to push. and, think about the implications of that last one. i hate to even imply scare-tactics which is why im literally telling you this, but you SHOULD be afraid over what they could do with that information. its the conservs sitting here rallying against lgbtq+ merch and items......but what if they’re selling your data to the conservs? what if they can start to push their agenda onto you? do you like anime? yeah, they know about that too. thats why your ads have been pushing it more. it started out as a ‘funny haha, look at this, google is watching me!’ but slowly turned into ‘oh, my god. GOOGLE. is WATCHING me.’ because you signed the rights to your data away by agreeing to that terms of service you didnt read. because YOU. DIDN’T. KNOW. its not conspiratorial, its actually genuinely happening to you right now. except for the conserv part, idk if theyre doing that, thats more of an example of why its BAD that theyre selling it to god knows who. i dont know, you dont know, and its very likely THEY wont tell us. so please. take the measures you see above, and protect your data. 

i hate seeing people now making fun of those who care about privacy online. i've seen people saying things like "well they already have your data. what are companies going to do with it" and it's like, that's not the point. it's that companies /shouldn't/ be able to have my data and sell it. am i aware they probably already have my data? yes, absolutely. but i'm still going to try and keep them from monetizing it any further, why are we defending companies selling data they shouldn't have to begin with though?
