fell into a mountain river while sort of dressed as Marty and I have to admit that the puffer jacket did somehow manage to keep me dry

realizing that I’m about to kick off ten months of intense research is kind of intimidating, like. I’ve done government work before. I’ve done government research. I’ve done scientific research for the government. but now I’m doing my own project/work, of my choosing, and it’s all under my control, and…that’s just kind of wild to me?

it’s going to be beautiful though, since I’ll be in the mountains every day, so I’m excited for that!
