so like, you know the way bill cipher was formed in a 2d world? and you know the way he can see through our fanart or any images of himself? do you ever think about the fact that every time we're drawing bill, he's become 2d again. for just a moment, he can remember euclydia and relish in the 2d world, but it'll never be real for him because he's just looking in like a window and not wearing it like a suit.
because uh.... yeah. i think about that. a LOT.

Don’t you ever wonder what kind of secrets and plot points Venti keeps hidden? He claims to be the weakest amongst the Seven-and that could be true given his whole 500 year slumber and poison and all- but he’s still a god. AND one of the original Seven. You gotta be good at SOMETHING to survive for this long…
He’s also the only archon so far that doesn’t have a second story quest so what is he hiding?! We have accounts of him literally shaping the land with ease from both the Golden Apple Archipelago events and his character stories. We know that he has close relationships with the Hexenzirkel and somehow managed to avoid conflict with them??? And there’s also the fact from the skyward sword series that he was originally a catalyst user before picking up the bow in honor of Amos. He’s pulling a Childe when it comes to weapons he currently uses and the ones he’s proficient in.
And don’t even get me started on his connection with Istharoth and Celestia! Mondstadt already has the Thousands Winds Temple AND the nameless island where both Venti and Istharoth were once worshipped. And from Before Sun and Moon, we know that the Thousand Winds (which Venti IS A PART OF) were once called the Thousand Winds of TIME, all of whom were created and controlled by Istharoth. AND THEN you have Venti suspiciously appearing in the right place at the right time again and again and again. He even self proclaimed knowing every song: past, present, and future. Hell he’s probably one of the only few beings in Teyvat who can naturally bypass Irminsul because of his songs: Nahida already shown it’s possible to save deleted info if rearranged into fiction so the same should work for songs and poetry. And there’s also what the hydro fungus in Nahida’s second story quest said about changing forms. That you need time for growth to occur. And Nahida - an ARCHON- had trouble maintaining her fungus form for even the short period of time. She was even told that to do so for longer, one would need to bypass time itself which is near impossible. AND YET VENTI CHANGED INTO THE FORM OF HIS FRIEND IMMEDIATELY AFTER RECEIVING HIS GNOSIS AND HAS YET TO CHANGE BACK OR TIRE FROM FATIGUE (as we know it). HOW STRONG IS HE. Sure, the yokai in Inazuma and Adepti in Liyue can all change into a human form, but we know in game that it takes a long time and steady energy to take on a human shape, and the Adepti all seem to have that ability naturally: there’s no bending the laws of nature if it’s already natural to them. So what’s Venti’s excuse?!
As for Celestia: there’s already written in the statue of Barbatos “the gateway to Celestia” and what not. And Khanreia! In the chasm AND in the Caribert quest, Barbatos and Mondstadt keep getting named dropped. According to Dainself, the city in the chasm is supposedly OLDER than Khanreia and possibly the Seven, yet BARBATOS of all beings is mentioned in the records you find??? And in Caribert, it’s a Mondstadtian woman who that one bloke had a child with. Never mind that Mondstadt is where Kaeya and Albedo - the two characters with confirmed Khanreian origins- end up! There’s also the fact that Khanreia seems to base its gods and names and whatever around Norse mythology….which has strong ties to GERMANIC HISTORY. WHICH MONDSTADT IS BASED OFF OF. And Enkanomiya, which was once ruled by Istaroth, is Greek origin. Suspicious considering all the connections to HERMES Venti keeps portraying. (And then there’s also a connection to all three places with the hexenzerkel with their Chinese names? Like I think I read somewhere that Alice is Aries(?)/Eris(?) and Nicole is actually Nike in the Chinese version? Which are very much based in Roman/Greek origins)
Oh and something I forgot to mention earlier with the whole Istharoth connection. Mondstadt’s saying “seeds of stories, brought by the wind, and cultivated through time”. SUSPICIOUS
Tumblr media
Anyways, this has been my nonsensical Venti theory rant
And you’re stuck with me @worldsokayestmagicalgirl

Hotd new episode rant (SPOILERS)
We need new writers. They need to fire and burn the ones they have right now. First they butcher the characters personalities so deeply it’s shocking. They are just so different, and in some aspects it’s interesting but others it’s such a deep change that it’s a bit frustrating.😫
And the scene with Dameon and his MOTHER. Oh my god I was so shocked they did not actually do that. Dameon needs to get out of harrenhal IMMEDIATELY 😤
And Alicent thinking that the small council would allow her to rule. The same people who usurped rhaenyra like girl if they didn’t want her why would they want you.😭
The aegon scene with alicnet made me so sad. Alicent never seems to be there for her kids when they need her leaving in the moments they need the support the most. The trauma just keeps coming 😵‍💫
We love you helaena and alys you guys are the best😔 you deserve to be able to collect bugs and haunt stupid men!
How I felt watching the scene with daemon and his MOTHER

I am seething. I am furious. I am crying inside. What was that portrayal of Alyssa Targaryen in House of the Dragon?
Fire and Blood explicitly described her as having dirty blond hair, mismatched eyes, one violet, one green, ungainly features, and a crooked nose because she broke it when she was six. She knew she was not a great beauty and never would be, but never gave a shit about that. She preferred trousers over gowns, rode Meleys whenever she had a chance, was openly a tomboy, and once again, never gave a shit about any negative opinions about that. She was spirited and fiery, openly saying she was "as bawdy a wench as any barmaid in King's Landing."
Why couldn't they have portrayed her like that? Was it so hard to show that she was still a Targaryen and Daemon's mother, the parent he took after the most, while using the book description of her? The fans, especially those who have read Fire and Blood, know how Alyssa really looks and what her personality is like. Do the show's creators think all fans don't know anything about the source material?
The grievances I have with the scene depicting her and Daemon are innumerable. I have just become more Team Black than ever before and am so relieved that I never watched Season 2 except for the new intro. I know now that I won't be able to stomach the show from now on knowing they ruined my girl Alyssa in such a, excuse my wording, blasphemous way. I now feel afraid, no, terrified, for the day that Targaryen women like Alyssa's many sisters, her mother, and Shiera Seastar will be adapted for the screen, because they will be ruined and reduced to unrecognizable beings who might not be like their book descriptions at all. Since the story of Dunk and Egg is being adapted, I feel afraid of how any Targaryen woman in that show will be adapted, such as Aegon V's (Egg's) sisters Daella and Rhae, and possibly his daughters Shaera and Rhaelle. Hell, maybe Egg's wife Betha Blackwood, his mother Dyanna Dayne, his sisters-in-law Kiera of Tyrosh and Princess Daenora Targaryen, and his niece Princess Vaella Targaryen should be on that list too because they were Targaryens by marriage, in Vaella's case, by birth, and in Daenora's case, by both birth and marriage.
Targaryen women have been ruined for far too long, and Alyssa Targaryen was only the latest. She was reduced to an unrecognizable being who was used to make fans unsympathetic to Daemon and by extension Team Black, and it disgusts and infuriates me. Yes, Daemon has done morally questionable, if not outright immoral things, throughout the books and the show, but this scene feels too much like they want to depict him as an irredeemable monster in contrast to Team Green, and that is, to me, abhorrent.
I apologize if this rant makes anyone uncomfortable, but I absolutely had to get it off my chest after seeing (on here, not the episode itself) and hearing about Alyssa's appearance in House of the Dragon and how it was used. The only things this show has accomplished is me confirming that I'm solidly Team Black all the way and me desiring justice for not just Alyssa, but every Targaryen woman who was ruined before her, might be ruined in House of the Dragon, and might be ruined in future shows.

idk it’s like. rhaenyra’s fear and paranoia over what alicent will do to her kids gets her killed. alicent’s fear and hostility over what rhaenyra might do to her kids gets all her kids killed. daeron’s hostility towards daemon (there’s a difference in how he treats brynden & shiera and how he treats daemon & aegor and it’s pointed even if it makes sense) over whether daemon will be a threat to his kids kicks off more than one war! davos is willing to die to protect edric from stannis. jon gets sent to the wall bc of catelyn’s resentment and paranoia and ned’s refusal to deal with the situation and not only does jon’s entire arc in agot deal with the fact that even if the wall is less cruel it still sucks and is a wild miscarriage of justice against all the boys who get pressed into it and crucially, jon is now dead over this shit! maybe the problem is that all of these people keep reacting with fear and hostility and paranoia when confronted with a child who, through no fault of their own, has the potential to be dangerous later in life. maybe the problem is the entire concept of legitimacy and the way it destroys every family it comes into contact with, and keeping that system going is a moral failure on the part of our heroes, from the patriarchs who set their families up for failure to the ladies who understandably react with hostility and isolation towards their husband’s bastards to the noble born children who are learn from their parents’ example and make sure to drive home the fact that their siblings are lesser, base creatures because of something they have no control over. perhaps the point is that everyone in this system has blood on their hands and the series is saying “so now you know you’re complicit. now what are you going to do about it?”

I don't post any of my OC art including Dante or Logan on tiktok because everyone there is so fucking miserable and they just want to throw lil temper tantrums because god forbid I have OCs.
Anyways; I hope tiktok does get banned. I know it'll be absolutely awful for the people who use it to talk about the situation with Palestine and Rafah, but everything else on that app is just the trash fires of hell itself. I'm just sick and tired of how tiktok has encouraged bullying and other awful things because people have realized how fucking easy it is to get away with that shit now.

idk im just so disappointed in general. it's hard having friends who are still genuinely excited by the fandom because it feels like they have these rose tinted glasses on and cant see through all the obvious signs thomas is giving us. they view it as "just ONE more ad closer to the finale" and at this point....is there really even a finale? would we even like what we were given? what's the point when thomas is clearly not the same person he used to be.
i dont understand how he could talk the way he does to his own fans who are simply expressing their disappointment? like my Previously Mentioned Friend is grouped in with those people waiting patiently and eagerly for the next episode, grasping to every aside they get, and now they're not allowed to voice how they miss a series without being guilt tripped by their fave? it feels like something we've literally addressed IN the series. it's extremely extremely wrong.
thomas is not a perfect angel, and yet he doesn't allow anybody to treat him other than that

okay so the fact that MGG “loved” the Jeid storyline and AJ hated it, was based on the sounds of it actually extremely upset about it, seems super telling. I am probably grasping but seems to me a bit like something he might have pushed, which is gross and not a thing “friends” do when it was something that made his friend and coworker clearly upset and uncomfortable. Which I guess seems very fitting of their characters with Reid doing what he wants even if it upsets JJ.
but god how the actors and creators felt about it just makes me hate it even more and also hate MGG. Ugh. Ew. Poor AJ.
I don’t know much about MGG (or the actors’ friendship irl) but I feel like he was always just into the idea of JJ and Reid together from the beginning. Especially when it’s the whole “nerd boy x pretty girl” trope (I hate to say it lol). Idk if he jokes around with it bc of the unauthorized docs as an example and he jokes around a bunch in general, but I know he had a crush on AJ irl if I’m not mistaken.
AJ (from what it seems) in the early seasons didn’t have much against the idea bc she was curious of how it would’ve gone after that date (mostly bc the show wouldn’t emphasize much on characters’ personal lives). And she did admit herself that she saw them as more like siblings, but I think she jokes in a silly “what if they had hooked up” way and understood the show would never go there. Then over time, it seems like the way she talks about JJ and Reid’s friendship, she makes it clear that they’re only platonic friends.
I’m not a huge fan of MGG and for some reason, he doesn’t vibe so much with me. But I’m not sure if he’s the one that pushed for the prison storyline also and it was honestly unnecessary for the show (I think the reason was to put him in more dramatic scenes which to me is off bc he’s not so good of an actor haha). So it wouldn’t surprise me a lot that he wanted this jeid storyline and it makes no sense, like for what? For Reid’s closure on JJ “reciprocating” his feelings? It seems more like an opportunity for his to show off dramatic acting but let me tell you… he wasn’t even that great in the eps for jeid! In fact, AJ did way more work carrying the storyline she didn’t even want and was forced to perform. She did her job well and still hated it. And it makes me more mad too when Erica finally decided to go against even her own narrative of JJ and Reid being like siblings, just for more pain to Reid’s character (her profiting character). Little to no regard to how it will affect JJ’s character! And AJ thankfully knows her character well enough that it does not look good on her part (especially with the obvious fact that she’s married).

Book Review 03/18/2023: When No One Is Watching (SPOILERS!!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, I picked this book up out of curiosity and read the first line. That alone is the sole reason I ended up purchasing it. The novel begins the story with, HISTORY IS FUCKING WILD. That was the senctence that drew me into the story. I honestly love the way Alyssa Cole wrote this book. Even if it had taken me one year, eight months, and twenty days, to read it.
The character named, Josie, is annoying. It's cool that she can trace her ancestors back to New Amsterdam, but it's not cool how judgmental she's being towards Sydney's neighborhood. I know I read this, but I can't remember if Terry is Josie's husband or kid. Either way, he's rude, annoying, and an extremely unlikable character.
This novel revolves around Sydney and a new neighbor, Theo, doing research for her neighborhood tour. When she was told to lead her own tour if she wasn't satisfied with the information in the original tour, she took on the challenge. Her research leads to a truth, that even I wasn't expecting, let alone prepared for. I wasn't even prepared for Theo's brief backstory. He's basically the Russian mafia. Well, he said it's because of his father. At one point Sydney introduces him as Theodore. He later corrects her and says that his name isn't Theodore. Well, in Russian, it is. Fyodor. This is when we hear his backstory and he also calls himself a liar.
Anyhoo, their research unearths a major conspiracy theory. One that removes people from their homes and turns them into drug test subjects. Once removed from their home, their house is sold to members of what I'm calling an elite group. VerenTech Pharma is the company kidnapping people.
Poor Sydney endures so much from beginning to end. People she knows and care for suddenly leave. Only to be replaced with snobbish, racist, rich people. Of course, Sydney thinks neighbors suddenly moving is suspicious. Events leading up to the end make Sydney second guess herself, thinking she's crazy. At one point, she believes Theo is behind everything. Turns out it was his ex, Kim, and her father. These two found an illegal way to run tests with decent enough results to obtain construction licenses for an official testing site.
By "these two", I mean Kim and her father, not Sydney and Theo. All that VerenTech needed to do was push out the old/current inhabitants of Gifford Place and replace them with their own people. Racism is involved in this novel. Gifford Place was mostly people of color, up until VerenTech attempted to take over. The last 100 pages had me all sorts of emotional. Tricking me into thinking Theo is part of the problem. Turns out he sided with Sydney and saved Gifford Place and its people.
This book was a fantastic read to me. I recommend it to the world.
