While looking for reference material to check Reimu's outfit for a manga I'm working on, I noticed that most of the figures on the market today don't have a ribbon on Reimu's back. I thought my memory might be wrong, so I checked, but the back view of Reimu in the game (pixel art) clearly has a large white ribbon. I think this is an important part of her charm, so it is a bit sad that few figures have the ribbon on her back 🥲 (As far as I could find, only figures based on Genji Asai's Kourindo Reimu had ribbons on their backs.) I definitely prefer the one with the white ribbon! 🎀

#A great episode tbh especially given the low budget. I feel like they really did their very best #And even though what I'm going to say next is probably going to be all critic - because I nitpick things and that's what I always end up–#talking about - I still want to underline that it was a very solid and enjoyable episode!!!#Alright the ss/kk was so 💞💞💞 every scene I had to rewatch twice or thrice akhscbashfb they're so cute!!!#Except for the riding scene tho. That scene gives me massive second hand embarrassment every time I just wish it will end as fast as–#possible pffttt. Mmmmhhh... The drawings weren't even too bad all accounted. My main complain is about the quicksand scene...#I feel like that one should be a slow quiet emotional scene. I never licked the choice of using the song as background soundtrack :/#I feel like it ruins the mood of the scene (it was still good though)#I also... Generally don't like the direction they seem to go for with Akutagawa's character in the anime‚ he seems quite a bit flatter–#compared to how he is in the manga. He can't be angry and evil ALL the time you need to show that softness get through from time to time.#If not what even is the point of his character. Yet in the anime he's angry (and not distraught) when he loses the mine craft and he's–#angry when he's questioning Atsushi about his motifs and he's angry when he's bragging about Atsushi's abilities to Goncharov and he's–#angry when he makes the promise with Atsushi at the end of the episode and eventually he'll be just as angry even when telling Atsushi–#to run away as he's sacrificing his life for him. It is pretty flat at the end of the day.#If I can say something about K/ensho Ono without being killed I think they do contribute to making him feel angry all the time.#But that said it's all probably poor directing choices (or simply choices I don't agree with).#Also‚ about cuts. Usually I try to be lenient about it– I understand it's hard to fit in everything and b/sd already does a very–#good job by adapting the manga almost panel-by panel. It's just that... You skip Akutagawa showing compassion for Atsushi after the–#orphanage director died. You skip Atsushi sharing the same compassion when Akutagawa loses his targed in the mines chase. You skip the–#“Nothing special about that. // I suppose he's far crueler than my own mentor.” line. And sure each of them may be negligible by their own #But together they wave a consistent web of relationship between the two characters you know? And it's a loss to omit them all #Well no mind. Again it was still a great episode overall!!!!#I think the colors in the mines could have been prettier in the mines but we can't have it all #Off to season 4!!! Omg I can't believe we got this far :DDD #random rambles #FINALLY was able to catch up in time for the season 3 finale!!!!!!

sometimes I forget that I have creative freedom over my projects and I can put tiny little references to my favorite stories in there

#I started texturing a boat I modeled and I want to put a name on the hull #and I’m extremely bad at naming stuff but then I realized that it literally doesn’t matter and I can name the boat either A5158 or A258 #because no one will know I named it after the ginger mafia guy from the author fanfic manga #also putting a mackerel into my scene so my chuuya boat can have a matching Dazai fish <3 #I love seeing little references to other media in games because you can always see a bit of the devs personalities in there #the longer I’m studying the more I have forgotten to put a bit of that part of my personality in my projects too #also I don’t have too much time left on my project so these past weeks and next few weeks have been/will be super stressful…#I’m doing great time wise but I want to do a lot of additional stuff and getting everything done and polished will be a close call u_u #but I wanna do fanart so bad rn I have two wips and dozens of other ideas #<- a good drawing session could fix me #watching the new episode without drawing fanart will be hard :( but only 3 1/2 more weeks until I have free time again #but at the same time only 3 1/2 weeks left until I’m done with my project u_u and my degree u_u #sina’s rambling #uni tag

i have started the woman called fujiko mine and am liking it. and i understand like why the change was made and think it suits the tone but this characterization of zenigata is. upsetting

#p #it's like hey you know how he's a cop? here he is doing these violent and chauvinistic things theyre known for/are built into the concept #and i'm like well this isn't the wile e coyote gijinka in a trenchcoat that i've come to know and like. wuh huh?#lupin iii #I PAUSED to pee right before his deputy in this talked directly to her i think she should kill them both #(<-aware it is a prequel and as thus she can kill at most one of them)#also (sorry i always tack on tags instead of commenting on my own posts) the fact that its a prequel makes the zeni thing more difficult #bc differing tone aside him getting more Weird maybe less violent w time would make sense but not less exploitative #idk maybe the rest of the series will prove me wrong on that but im doubtful!#he works in the context of this and what i think it's trying to do but that doesn't make it less jarring #that aside having seen that his characterization in this is closer to in the manga thats solidified my not wanting to touch it lol #i'm somewhat less reluctant abt the koike films bc the more serious/gritty tone is fine but if it's not focused on fujiko idrc 🤷#like the primary draw here was a story that takes her seriously/gives her interiority. secondary is the visual style
