Idk why, but I actually liked that I needed to google translate the dialogue in this chapter. I think the fact that I had to find the translations made Mira's remark about Zoey's cuteness hit even harder.

Headcannon that during the audition process for huntrix, Mira didn’t realize that Rumi was the adoptive daughter of Celine and thought she was just another auditioner and starts making jokes about Celine and the group in her blunt and dry way and Rumi is just so ??? Charmed by this person who doesn’t seem to care about what people think and is also inadvertently making fun of her??? Cause Mira doesn’t let up on talking about how the other huntr/x member is a nepobaby lol

When Celine notices that this is the first person who has made Rumi laugh and look relaxed she starts to come over

And Mira keeps going because a pretty girl keeps laughing at her and this girl seems sooooo repressed so Mira makes it her personal mission to keep making her laugh and poke fun at the whole thing

It isn’t until Celine comes over and introduces herself and Rumi as the first member of Huntri/x and Poor Mira is like “oh shit, I just made fun of the literal adoptive daughter of the last remaining sunlight sister and oh fuck I am going to be asked to leave”

However Celine could not care less other than the fact that she made Rumi feel at ease

Anyway just a fun headcannon where Mira makes an already anxious Rumi feel at ease without knowing who she is and that gets her into huntrix

I imagine Zoey is similar but more so that she’s just so chaotically charming and baffled Rumi in the best way and Celine notices her putting Rumi at ease

If I'm going to be thinking about Celine projecting Miyeong onto Rumi I'll only be doing it if it comes with the dawning realization and dread of her watching Rumi slowly morph into Celine instead. Like yes; her mother's bright eyes, her mother's perfect smile. But Celine's gait. Celine's practiced confidence. Celine's posture as she trains her forms. Her weapon -- a sword, like Celine's. Unlike her mother's. Celine's fears. Celine's shame. All inherited. All her fault.

the shader on King Boo in Mario Kart World is pretty simple, but he stands out compared to the other characters, to me. he has like a weird otherworldly glow to him. do u have any thoughts on it / know how they did that? :0c

oooo yeah thats sooo some kind of fresnel shading. basically the further away from the camera any part of the boo is facing the stronger the lighting is

so like here the blue line is the view direction (direction from camera to a point on the boo). and the red line is the normal direction on the boo (the direction straight outwards from the mesh). the fresnel is calculated by how different these two directions are, so since the directions in the middle of the boo are basically equal to eachother, we get nothing. but the directions on the rim of the boo are further apart from eachother, meaning thats where we get the lighting

i dont know why he's doing this ^ he was only supposed to spin around normally but he's spinning around scary style help
