●It is midday, and you're patrolling somewhere in Louisiana, when a thunderstorm hit ●You called for a Groundbridge, and just as you passed through, a lightning bot struck the portal, and you didn't get to react in time as it pulled you in like a Black Hole ●When passing through, you expected to be in some sort of different Shadow Zone, but no; it was an alternate reality! ●To say you were confused was an understatement. Why are your colleagues suddenly so... nice? Why are their paint jobs different? Why was your closest friend so adorable?! What do you mean they didn't have another bot named C/n?! ●You weren't used to this nice, go-to happy atmosphere, especially Ratchet and Optimus NOT being psychopaths. But you weren't complaining. ●You were assigned to be Bumblebee's partner when going on patrols and missions, and you were confused.

-Optimus: I'm sure you're familiar with Bumblebee. Although he might not be like your world's version of him, I'm sure he will make you feel welcomed. -Bumblebee: *Beeps in confirmation* :) -C/n: ... Don't you mean Goldbug? -Bumblebee: *Beeps in confusion* ? -Optimus: No?

●So, the meeting was going great! ●As time passed by, you grew to like this place. Everything was peaceful when their world's version of Decepticons weren't trying to destroy shit. ●When you first arrived, you were aggressive, on guard like everyone and everything was going to attack you at any given moment. ●But the more you spent time here, you've cooled down a lot. You asked questions about topics like a toddler would, letting your interest be know that aren't about slaughter, murder, torturing; in fact, you started losing interest in those things! Spending time in this universe actually made you start seeing the brighter things in life. ●Not only that, but the more you started changing to a life a peace, you... started getting nightmares about what will happen when you return, and they see the changes. Most likely torture you without a second glance, possibly kill you for straying against the Autobot cause. But what will hurt most is what will Goldbug do when he sees the new you? You've known how he is with your world's Decepticons, basically a mini-Optimus in the making. ●But, of course, Bumblebee saw how nervous you were being, and confronted him about your behavior is when you let everything of your being fall apart, telling him that your scared. Scared of what will possibly happen when you return. It's not like you can stay in their world forever; you'd have to go back at some point. ●In response, he'd pull you into a hug, rubbing your back plates in a slow, gently manor, beeping in a tone that can be music. The first time he did this is when you felt your spark thump, and you just hugged him back, and the both of you fell into recharge, not once letting go are letting your grip become loose in the slightest.

-Raf: Bumblebee? Where are you? It's time for me to go- *Hears familiar beeping in the next room* Bee? Oh! *Looks in the room as see's Bumblebee hold C/n in his lap, arms wrapped around them as their arms are wrapped around his waist, both sleeping away* I'll just ask Ratchet. *Walks away*

●As time goes on, the pinning becomes so obvious majority of the team is just groaning in annoyance, they get that this is adorable but just get together already! ●Usually, whenever he gets upset over something, he would seek you out, and just wraps his arms around you because when he's with you, he doesn't want you to leave and holding onto you is his only security of that never happening. ●There was only one bot that he was jealous of, that's in his world, and it's Smokescreen. Ever since he's joined the team, he's been dropping pick-up line after pick-up line, and making your laugh! It should be him causing him to make you laugh, not him! ●The funny thing is that you like it when he seeks you out for comfort, causing you to quietly laugh at his adorableness. If Bumblebee finds out about this, he'll make sure to do that every single time he finds himself in the same room as you. 1 for Bee, 0 for Mr. Destiny Child. ●Often times, ever since Ratchet has gotten closer to find out a way to send you back home, Bumblebee has been trying to convince you to stay, and honestly... you've been considering it. ●I mean, on the one hand if you go back home, you'll see your team again! But on the other hand, ...you would probably get tortured for changing your ideals. ●And so, with a heavy spark, you decided to stay!

Meanwhile...

●Goldbug has been searching for you. You should've came through the Groundbridge and back to base. ●The others suspected that you were probably captured by the Decepticons, but they didn't bother. One less bot to waste Energon resources. ●But not Goldbug. He hasn't rest ever since you've disappeared. The bot he fell in love with just disappears? No. There's gotta be an explanation for this. ●Forcing SG! Raf to look through security cameras in the area you were in, he found out why. Stupid thunderstorm. But... at least this gives him a lead to find out where you went on his own. ●He will not rest until he finds you and returns you back.

Harry meets the Mauraders fanfic recs

Ok, so this list was born after I read the beautiful fic called The Devil’s White Knight. It’s about Harry traveling to an alternative universe where Voldemort was killed in his youth, where his parents are alive and his whole life played out differently. He still has his memories though, and a whole lot of trauma, so he goes through a journey of getting to know a family that loves him unconditionally while struggling with everything else.

I was obsessed to say the least. I started looking for similar fics that gave me the same feelings and that explored Harry’s trauma and power as the key to Voldemort’s defeat, and how he fit into his new life. Thse are some I enjoyed a lot.

Eclipse is still looking

Eclipse growled in frustration as he dodged an attack from the insane Lunar. It honestly made him worry as this Lunar just like the many other Lunar’s he had found that had the same power source as himself and his adopted younger sibling had been driven insane or broken in some way. It made him wonder even more, all these other Lunars had focused on destroying or hurting the things that had hurt them. His didn’t, his Lunar had wanted to run away instead. What worried him even more was in half of these cases it was a version of Eclipse that had hurt Lunar while the other half had been harmed by versions of the animatronics he called family.

It worried him even more though that he was seeing things every time he left his dimension and that his episodes had been growing more frequent. Even now he was hearing a voice that sounded like him telling Eclipse to crush this impudent Lunar. That Lunar deserved it. Eclipse shuddered and shook his head. He needed to hurry, he couldn’t ruin it all again. He shuddered and tried to shut it out as he rolled out of the way of another beam of destruction. He felt his core shudder. He knew he would have to return to his home dimension soon. After all his core didn’t hold a charge when outside of his home dimension.

“Sundrop, this was a bust too. Back if you can.”  He messages his creator.

“Gotcha, there’s a bit of interference but I Moonie and I should be able to get you back up soon.” Sundrop replies.

Eclipse leaps out of the way of another energy blast before he can respond. One of his rays gets slightly singed.

“Better hurry creator, otherwise I’m going to be a pile of dust.” Eclipse urges Sundrop.

Soon Eclipse can feel the static tingles over his systems that signal the start of a teleport. In the blink on of eye he’s back home.  Eclipse let’s out a frustrated sigh as he storms past his creators. Sundrop tries to reach out towards Eclipse only to be stopped by Moondrop. Moondrop shakes his head at Sundrop a frown on his digitally animated face. Sundrop pulls his hand back as he watches Eclipse, an expression of worry on his face. Moondrop gently pushes Sundrop away from the computer disguised as an arcade machine.

“You, rest brother. I’ll readjust the calibrations.” Moondrop assures Sundrop.

 Before Sundrop goes to his recharge station in his room he turns to his brother.

“Moony. Wha- what if we don’t find him?” Sundrop asks unsurely.

“We will. I may not like the bot, but if he is just an abused young bot looking for protection.” Moon pauses as a determined look falls upon his face. “Then we can’t just leave him with his previous caretakers.”

I want Arthur to meet an alternate Version of Merlin who CONQUERED Camelot on his own in his own dimension. And yes, it's HIS own, personal dimension.

Merlin is absolutely ruthless and Arthur is visibly reassassing his sexuality for it.

When they part, Arthur almost faints as auMerlin says: my realm is cool and all. But we don't have prats like you. I wouldn't mind if we did. *Winks at him*. You know, as a treat.

Arthur pretty much dies on the spot.

Meanwhile, Merlin in the other realm:

- "where is Arthur?"

-" wow, the people are really nice today"

And ends up doing exactly what auMerlin would have done in that kingdom, because SOMEONE has to write and hold Arthur's speeches when he's not there and be a good king and all.

So, basically, Merlin doesn't even realise he's ruling the kingdom, but does it flawlessly.

[Okay 4:30am sketch thing] so @aimeelouart 's C!Cloud found a world/dimension that has a very protective, caring, and dad like Rufus to a child version of him and had to report it to SC!Cloud as well since their Rufus's are not like that at all and they have no idea besides going "da fuck?!" About the knowledge lol but yeah the said Rufus C!Cloud is referring to also has a habit of nearly spoiling the child counterpart of them and it not really working but one thing's for sure is that C!Cloud and SC!Cloud weren't expecting this at all, I think what they both need is a dimension that is straight up chill at some point so they both can like sleep because they both are tired which can mess with people's mental state if they are to tired [I kinda know from experience since one time in the past I wasn't able to sleep for an entire week because of my brain not shutting the fuck up and I have no memory of what caused it either hence the birth of "chicken corn" and "chicken corn used pop! It is super delicious"]

I'm going to try and sleep now since I need to yet if my brain will let me.

That little tidbit Arcane gives us at the end of episode 7 where AU Powder has a full pouch of the Hextech crystals (arcane crystals really) just sitting in a drawer and that she puts fragmented piece spin-y thing Ekko gives her in there with them is probably going to itch at my brain forevermore

Why does she have all of them still? Doesn't she know how dangerous they are since one killed her sister? Why not give one to Ekko when it became clear that they were related to the project he suddenly started working on? How does she even have them? Why didn't Topside confiscate them after the fact? What happened to Jayce that would make it so no one found out about those ones? (I assume he was like seriously arrested and charged for his experiments considering someone died as a result of them, even though the person who died was there to steal stuff, but is that actually the case? Does Viktor exist in that universe?)

Really the questions just kind of spring forth and we are unlikely to get any answers, and really the whole AU opens an enormous number of questions as a whole that I desperately want to know the answers to

Even so, for whatever reason, it's that very last little bit of the episode that will likely haunt me

Flatland is an underrated classic that imagines life in a 2-D world. This is my review.

You’ll get a lot of answers when you ask when speculative fiction was born. Some will tell you that it began with Hugo Gernsback and the pulps. Others will say that it goes as far back as mythology and folklore. Personally, I go with those who say that it began with Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, though I don’t discount earlier works such as Gulliver’s Travels or The Tempest. I say all of this because I’m taking us back to the 19th Century for today’s review. We’re going to review the classic novel Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions by Edwin A. Abbott.

Imagine, if you will, a sheet of paper that is infinitely large and stretching to all sides. Now imagine that on this sheet of paper there are a series of geometric shapes, but instead of staying in place these shapes move about and have complex social lives. Welcome to Flatland, a world of only two dimensions. There is width and length, but there is no height or depth.

The book follows A. Square who is…well, he’s literally a two-dimensional square. He acts as our guide to the realm of Flatland and relates to use the ways of his countrymen and their doings. There are two main events that serve to completely change A. Square’s world view. The first is his contact with Lineland, a world of only one dimension, and the second is meeting a figure known as Lord Sphere. Lord Sphere claims to come from a strange world of three dimensions called Spaceland.

The book goes into great detail about how life works in a world with only two dimensions. For example, it is customary to meet someone by feeling them in order to determine their shape. It’s also considered polite to give directions to the way north when meeting a traveler on the road. Societal rank and job are determined by the number of sides that one has, with circles being at the top of things. Each successive generation gains an additional side, except for the low ranking isosceles triangles, though there are exceptions. Women, being incredibly sharp and pointy lines, have restrictions placed on them so that they can avoid constantly killing people by accident. We also learn much of the history of Flatland, such as why colors have been banned by the upper classes. There is some pretty great world building in this novel.

That having been said the fact the citizens of Flatland are all living geometric shapes does limit the amount of exploration that can go into their biology and physics. A. Square does hint at future explanations, but he decides that it will take up too much time and bore the reader. Or to put it another way, if you wonder how they eat and breathe and other science facts…well, I’m sure you all know the words to the Mystery Science Theater 3000 theme song. You’ll also notice that Flatland society bares more than a passing resemblance to the society of Victorian Britain. This is intentional, as Abbott intended for Flatland to be just as much a satire as a compelling story. For example, the class system of Flatland is rather absurd when given further scrutiny, but Abbott was making about about how the British class system was absurd and ultimately rather arbitrary.

Since it was written in 1884 Flatland has long since fallen into the Public Domain. As such, many other writer have tried their hand at tackling the subject matter Flatland is built upon. Usually they will focus on one particular aspect while ignoring the others. Admittedly I haven’t read any of these books, but of the ones I’ve heard of thanks to TV Tropes I’d say Planiverse sounds the most promising. It attempts to look at how biology, chemistry, physics and culture would function in a realistic 2-D world.
