Maxis-match default replacement meshes for all the CU Maxis clothing, in separate files so you can pick and choose. They are mesh-only (GMDC) and therefore are compatible with texture-only default replacements as well as recategorizers.

My goal with these was to rework the fat morphs and to iron out some kinks on the normal morphs. I didn't try to alter the fashion. This is my edit of cubodynaked, which I used as reference for everything else:

All the CU clothing from the Ultimate Collection is covered, except cubodydragon because it's ✨flawless✨ already. Default replacements for cutopnaked & cubottomnaked are also included (the meshes used when sims are nude).

About the separates: I took care to match the waist seam with the Maxis tops & bottom meshes so my default replacement separates will work with any CC separates out there.

I couldn't possibly show all previews in a tumblr post but you can download all previews here (Google Drive, it's a big archive). It should be obvious by going through them but the pictures whose file name end in "a" show the original Maxis meshes, the ones ending in "b" show my edited meshes.

A few special mentions:

↳ cfbodydressformal. Polycount reduced from 2,376 to 2,266 and clipping eliminated through underskirt optimization.

↳ cmbodysportif. Edit includes the normals fix that Nopke also did here.

↳ cmbodyjacketshortsboots. One of several meshes I made less bulky.

↳ cfbodycowgirlskirt. The fit always seemed a bit off to me.

↳ cfbodyfairydance. One of Maxis's most interesting fat morphs to be sure.

And lastly, a note on cftopblouse & cmtopvneckshortsleeve. They're the two top meshes that show texture bleeding when paired with some bottoms:

The cleanest way to fix this from a meshing perspective would be to divide the meshes into 2 groups instead of the single "top" group that Maxis put them on. However, you cannot do that without breaking compatibility with the recolors. So I did not do that and pulled the texture mapping up instead. Unfortunately this quick and dirty fix may not work with some CC bottoms whose mapping still goes too high, but it sould be enough for most.

Oh yeah and the neck seam on cftopblouse, that's fixed too (CatOfEvilGenius fixed that neck seam years ago while keeping the original fat morph).

what is holding you back from being confident? basically ask yourself: what am i lacking that is holding me back from being confident? then work on it. its that easy! something thing that i've done is that i've made a list of what a "perfect" person/ version of me looks like. i've included their personality, intelligence, looks, relationships, mindset and hobbies. so everyday i'm always working towards that and adopting that energy of perfection. but be careful with this! you rly need to have a good self love and self worth to do this otherwise it can bring you down.

affirmations. im ngl this really did wonders for me. every morning i'd either a) repeat affirmations in front of the mirror, or b) listen to affirmations by other people. trust me, it will start to rewire your brain to help you. here is my post on affirmations for self love and confidence. also i highly recommend that you listen to subliminals!

leave. toxic. relationships. the bad people for you will bring you down. good people will hype you up. choose your people.

create a confidence playlist. fill it will songs that make you feel elite and like that girl. if you don't want to create one yourself, you can always search up confidence playlists on Spotify- they have loads of rly good ones.

become obsessed with yourself. cus girlie.. whats there NOT to be obsessed with??

walk, talk, sit, stand with confidence. whatever you do, do it with confidence. when you're walking walk with your chin up and back straight. when your sitting, watch your posture. when your standing, dont slouch- OPEN BODY LANGUAGE. and when you're talking, don't seem unsure or scared, but don't be too cocky/ arrogant. remember: no one is better than you, and you are not better than anyone.

watch helpful videos. for me, the holy grail, the one i'd always come back to and recommend over and over again: thewizardliz and Tam Kaur. let me say that again: THEWIZARDLIZ and TAM KAUR. these are the queens who really taught me to be confident.

Hello! I have a question, so I have an OC that has ASPD and I feel like I'm struggling to show the symptoms of it in my writings for them, I don't want to make their whole personality their discord but I also kinda want to show that something isn't completely alright with them, is there any subtle ways of writing/showing ASPD? I'm really sorry if this question is confusing!

Hi ^^ That'll highly depend on your individual character and the type of ASPD symptom combination you're trying to portray, as well as the individuals personal stance towards their symptoms, their therapy progress and what type of society you're writing the character into! So these suggestions might not fit/you may need to adjust them regarding those points:

• having unconventional ways of showing love/appreciation/affection => imagine character A. struggling with something and character B. comes along, plops a cat in their lap, says "found that around the corner, now smile", cus B. knows that A. likes cats and that that may comfort them, so they grab a random cat to cheer them up, or yk stuff like that? just something that would make other characters around them go "wtf?" but that is at its core still motivated by wanting the other person to feel better and just not knowing how to do it in conventional ways

• a sort of possessive aggressive attitude that may have to be reigned in by the partner/friends/parents/etc. at times => imagine character A. talks about having been accidentally pushed by another shopper and character B. just aggressively mumbles threats immediately, or character A. wants to go out with friends and character B. asks if they need a bodyguard to bash the touchy douchebags into the wall. and character A. going "hey reign in the violence please, this situation doesn't require that" or sum? if you get the vibe? sort of in the way that shows that character B's first instinct is to react aggressively and that they don't know in which situation its appropiate, but A. casually reminds them of it

• casually throwing in an absence of prosocial reactions => mentioning them not seeming very moved by a catastrophe, remarking how their emotions dont seem to go very deep, touching on a lack of social skills, showing that their relationships dont seem to be too emotionally involved, etc. but just...casually? like "...everyone was crying, lying in each others arms, as the TV showed the bomb detonate and the rubble crumble down, burying bodies beneath it. it took a while for everyone to calm down, A. was wiping the tears of their cheeks, C. had their head buried in B's arms, who had been as unbothered as usual trough the whole thing and soon went to make tea for everyone, as D. declared they needed some distraction" => including B. in the group dynamic but still making sure to hint that they don't care about the event itself. you can alter how obvious you wanna make it and whether you'd like to leave room for doubt...like as to whether they just seem unbothered or actually are, whether they make insensitive comments or not, etc.

• showing impulsivity/irresponsibility as a sort of playful/funny thing to the group => "A. asked: 'where the fuck is this duck coming from', as they watched C. sitting on a blanket under a tree, with a duck nibbling away on some crumbs next to them. 'I dont know, I think B. stole it from the pond or something? He keeps dragging in new animals, can't keep himself from picking them up', C. answered, grinning at their friend. 'well at least hes no longer going after peoples pets...', D giggled as they plopped down next to C. 'remember how furious old Mrs. Maddison was when B. knicked her cat for a few hours to see how many mice it would chase before it got tired? that cat refused to move a single inch afterwards', the three broke out in laughter at the memory" => bit less subtle, but you know just casually remarking on how the ASPD character stole something, or is gonna be like "chill I'll give it back in a bit...probably", or is absolutely oblivious that they did something mean/against the law, because their friends think its funny? casually remarking on them not going to work, not turning in assignments a la " 'are they coming into work today?' 'its B. so of course not' " etc.

• showing the lack of remorse as an accepted not uncommon response while highlighting the way they go around it => " C. smiled at the roses in the glass vase on the table, carefully touching them with their fingers. 'Did B. apologize for what they did', A. asked, sitting down opposite of their friend. 'B. doesn't do apologies, but I woke up to these roses, so we're good', C. smiled, 'Its not like they'd feel sorry anyway, as long as they try to make me feel better I don't have a reason to complain', they added with a shrug" => depends on the dynamic and what type of apologies parties require ofc, but showing the alternative way of cheering the other up and showing that B. recognized its needed? casually throwing in that they wouldnt feel sorry anyway, but C. is satisfied with it and thats all that matters? that sorta stuff

• hinting at a bad family history that explains a behavior they show => " A. put an arm around C. and shook her head: 'I cant believe B. would just leave you here after a literal argument, what an ass, did not one teach him how to treat a partner?' C. put her arm around A.'s waist and laughed bitterly: 'Who should have? That absent father of his or his mother who'd just slap him for every mistake. No, its no wonder B. ran at the first opportunity. He'll be back, he always is' " => not too on the nose in regards to ASPD specifically, but giving background info that hints at trauma and having problems because of it.

And yeah...you basically do that with every symptom you wanna show. Making a condition less obvious and less central is usually done by giving the character people that are used to it and make it seem normal, by putting them in a society where those behaviors are less judged, or by showing some progress of working around it while still highlighting that it causes issues! I am absolutely enamored with the Arkham Knight helmet shape. The high nose point is just everything, so I figured I'd translate that to his helmet.

I still prefer a smooth/opaque metal look tho so I kept it simple

Didn't work with his newer design - it's impractical and flashy. Wanted to emphasize alteration/craftsmanship.

Decided to try trenchcoat cus trenchcoats are cool asf but also to mirror a cape. All jackets have his logo hand painted on the back.

Highly debated him having his logo on his chest but felt it was important to include as a fuck you to batman lmao. Though in hindsight, I wish I had made it look more hand-painted (similar to AK redhood).

gae bolg was made of the bones of curruid -> cu alter wears curruid's bones as armor and his tail is included in that -> we know the tail is permanent because he keeps that in alt outfits where he takes off all the other spikes -> there is no conceptual difference between heroic spirits and their noble phantasms -> curruid's bones are cu chulain's bones -> cu chulainn is not actually a hound he's a sea monster

Hi, I'm an artist, and I'm plural too :3. Or at least, I think I am? It's complicated. There's a lot of denial all the time.

You don't have to say anything that you don't want to of course, and answer in as much or as little detail as you'd like to.

So my questions are like.

1) How has being plural affected your art journey?

Im asking this because I have really bad executive dysfunction, and find it extremely hard to actually do what I want to do, meaning not much art practise, but I know that my other alters don't have it as badly.

2) How is your system communication? How did you make it better if its good.

Our communication is very.... poor. There's 3 definite alters, including me, and maybe a couple more, but I never hear about them so idk. Either way, even between just the three of us, I almost never hear anything from the other two. Apparently they have better communication between each other, but idk how true that is cus I can't really ask them.

3) Can you visualise things? I have aphantasia, and it makes me need a lot more references for when I am occasionally able to bring myself to draw. I'm interested to know how it works without that inhibition.

A guide for beginning with Meridia, intended to help you begin your practice, but not to serve as the only information you use.

Keep in mind most of this post is UPG versus just based on the fictional canon, based on my personal experiences with this entity. It may directly contrast fictional canon and the experiences of others. I suggest, as always, at least reading over Their UESP lore page for a more canon perspective before coming back here.

This is written by a person who worships Meridia and doesn’t believe that the Daedric Princes are pure evil.

MERIDIA

myrrh-ih-dee-uh aka. Merid-Nunda prns. she / fae ( fae / faer / faem / faem / faerself ) domain. Colored Rooms date. January 13th

Meridia, Goddess of Life and Energy, who frees us of so many things. She frees us of the bonds that bind us, frees us of our self-hatred and the terrible things we feel of ourselves. She loves us all and seeks to adore us in our every single aspects.

Meridia is an incredibly multifaceted being, and considers Herself as “everything”. She is the light, the dark, happiness, sorrow, rage, love, hatred, everything. Fae is associated with the energy of living things, which includes very much.

Within lore, Meridia is seen as one of the few truly benevolent Daedric Princes. However, in reality, she can be just as cruel as them if given the correct things. She dislikes disorder, and can be fairly obsessive, self-righteous, and has a great rage towards the cruel. 

Within Khajiiti myth, Merid-Nunda is the daughter of Magrus. She is a cold spirit, born of light without love. She is intellect without wisdom, and knowledge without purpose. Some songs blame Her for orchestrating the death of Lorkhaj. Her worship was likely replaced and cut out when the Riddle’Thar cult took power which altered or removed many of the deities.

The Ayleids saw Meridia as the personification of their fourth element, light. As such, She was an incredibly important figure for them. They often depicted Meridia with wings and a cowl. 

Skyrim’s Nords generally saw Meridia’s worship as heretical, but left the temple on Mount Kilkreath alone, because the priests were hospitable and more than willing to provide travelers with food and warm beds.

Meridia is stated to mostly talk to cult leaders, and as such might not communicate as often as other Princes.

She is typically depicted with the imagery of scales, wings and rays of light. Flowing lines represent the energy of Meridia as a common form of symbolism. People carry crystals because light and vibration affect them, believing that it allows Meridia to bless them directly.

Meridia is an intermediate Prince to begin with.

Meridia is a bold and confident Goddess, who is very sure of Herself. She knows what Fae wants, and She pursues Faer goals strongly and surely.  She can be seen as self-righteous, as Fae tends to have a mentality of “I need to fix everything for my followers”. She is also often obsessive, sticking tightly to Her goals and desires, and it’s hard to shake Faem off of these things.

Meridia is a tall AFAB individual, with long flowing platinum blonde hair, and bright glowing golden eyes. She usually dresses in long, brightly colored dresses.

Her voice is strong and firm, and the pitch isn’t that far off from the Skyrim depiction, being slightly higher.

Well, it’s debated if this is actually an aspect or if it’s just plainly Meridia. 

Merid-Nunda is a Magna Ge, who essentially became a Prince through consorting with them.

☉ domain . . .

The vast majority of the Colored Rooms is not open to followers, but of what is visitable are many-faceted, being a cross between a coral reef and a vast field of floating stones, strewn with colorful trails of dust or cloud. The “ground” between said stones looks like luminescent water, though is solid enough to walk on; with the skies like floating effluvium oceans of crimson.

Followers aren’t really intended to come and stay for a long while, only to speak to Meridia and to relax there for a bit, before heading on their swift way.

⛮ working with . . .

Meridia is a fairly strict Goddess, who asks a lot from followers. She expects them to be very present and to pursue Faer commandments upon a daily basis. She desires for followers to speak to Her as often as possible, and welcome Faem into ones life. 

Actually working with Meridia often includes a lot of inward work, working hard to pursue goodness and ones own happiness and wellbeing. She prefers for followers to be completely and utterly open with Meridia, and withhold no secrets, but copes when such can’t be given.

She is a kind and loving Goddess, who really will do everything for you if you just ask and let Faem.

“Purity” is something Meridia talks a lot about, which isn’t purity in the context of Western purity culture (not having sexual contact, covering ones skin in clothing, etc), but a very different “Purity”. Meridia’s purity is about being a good person, being true to oneself and others, being physically clean, supporting others, not being selfish, among other similar things.

. . . The Hollow City

Long ago, a city existed upon Nirn which was devoted to Meridia. Meridia gifted her people the Lights of Meridia, relics whose power protected the city and made life easier for its inhabitants. Molag Bal sent minions from Coldharbour to destroy it, but the warriors and mages of the city managed to seal the gates and protect everyone within. Everyone outside the gates was slaughtered. The Ayleid King Laloriaran Dynar was visiting the city, and he quickly took command of the city's defenses.

The Ayleid King single-handedly protected the gates. As he fought, he prayed, and Meridia answered. She felt compassion for her worshipers, but also saw an opportunity: Molag Bal's portal worked both ways. She filled the Lights of Meridia with even more of her divine power, warded the city and pushed it into Coldharbour. The Lights of Meridia and the city's inhabitants were scattered across Coldharbour when the city entered the realm. Many of the city's inhabitants were captured or slain, and the Lights were stolen by the minions of Molag Bal. Despite the fact that not all of her people survived, Meridia still accomplished a major feat; she had sent a portion of her realm into Molag Bal's domain, and he could not touch it.[57] This tactic would pay off in the years to come.

. . . Twilight of the Ayleids

Sometime after the Alessian Slave Rebellion, various Ayleid kingdoms launched a desperate search for the fabled Wrathstone, which they believed would lead them to a weapon that would be their salvation against the encroaching forces of the Alessian Empire. An expedition marched to the Dwemer city of Mzulft, in the hold of Eastmarch in Skyrim, where it was rumored the Wrathstone was held. The Ayleids besieged Mzulft, but failed to breach it or retrieve the artifact. At the time, the Ayleids were unaware that the Dwemer only possessed the left half of the Wrathstone, and that half was stored not at Mzulft, but at nearby Kagrenzel.

After the failure of the raid on Mzulft, Meridia appeared to her faithful with a cryptic warning that the Ayleid Empire would soon fall, and gifted the right half of the Wrathstone to the city of Garlas Malatar. At the time, Garlas Malatar was ruled by King Narilmor, who was one of Meridia's most devout and favored adherents after Umaril the Unfeathered. To keep his piece of the Wrathstone safe, Narilmor did not provide aid nor asylum to the desperate Ayleid refugees from other kingdoms, and locked them out of his city. The inhabitants of Garlas Malatar were not heard of again. During the Planemeld and the Three Banners War, Cyrodiil was left in ruins and the provinces were divided by the few were left to oppose the invading Daedra. Meridia had her servant, Sees-All-Colors, assassinate the leader of the Fighters Guild in order to assume the role of guildmaster. Under Daedric command and funded by the wealth of Meridia's worshipers, the guild began refusing all other contracts and focused its efforts on destroying Dark Anchors and opposing Molag Bal's schemes. Meanwhile, the Five Companions were reformed following the prophesized arrival of the Vestige, who freed the Companions from Bal's clutches and reclaimed the Amulet of Kings, defeating Mannimarco in the process.

Disguised as a mortal, Meridia welcomed the Vestige along with the Fighters and Mages guilds into the Hollow City, which she had thrown into Coldharbour in years past. She allowed them to plot their assault on Molag Bal's citadel within its walls. Meridia waited within her city as King Laloriaran Dynar and the Lights of Meridia returned to her city. When the guilds finally invaded Molag Bal's fortress, Meridia personally manifested in the Planar Vortex to destroy it. She erected a forcefield to prevent Molag Bal from harming the Warriors of Light as they destroyed the Dark Anchors within the vortex. The power of the Light of Meridia was unleashed at the focal upon of the vortex, the Planar Vortex was destroyed.

The Vestige later faced Molag Bal at the seat of his power and defeated him. This released untold measures of souls from the Prince's grasp. Meridia plucked the Hero's soul as it escaped the realm, and allowed the Vestige to reunite with it in the Colored Rooms.

. . . The Triad

Meridia sent her Golden Knight to foil the Triad's plans. The Knight was kidnapped by agents of Mephala, and Dawnbreaker was shattered. The Vestige sought Meridia's aid in repairing the blade. Meridia added to its power, enabling it to be used to locate her Knight. Nocturnal then invaded the Colored Rooms, abruptly ending the Hero's correspondence with the Daedric Prince.

With Meridia incapacitated, only the Golden Knight was left to enact her plans. Dawnbreaker was corrupted by Nocturnal during later conflicts, and the Knight, realizing that he was the last Light of Meridia, sacrificed himself to purge the darkness from the artifact. The Vestige used Dawnbreaker to defeat Nocturnal at the Crystal Tower's summit, ending the Triad's threat to Tamriel.

Later that year, Meridia's temple at Mount Kilkreath was ravaged by a harrowstorm. Many of her worshipers were killed or transformed into undead monsters. The remnants of her priesthood delved into the temple and retrieved a relic imbued with her light, known as Meridia's Brilliance.[69] It had the power to channel Meridia's light and purge the temple of corruption. One of the surviving priests used the relic to seal the temple following the disaster.

( THIRD ERA )

Meridia has gifted many different Daedric artifacts to her champions over the years, though some of these relics are associated with other Daedric Princes. Sometime around 3E 405, an agent of the Blades received the Ring of Khajiiti from Meridia after defeating a sorcerer who betrayed her.

In 3E 433, Meridia charged the Hero of Kvatch with the task of destroying necromancers who were raiding tombs for corpses to raise an army of the undead, again in return for this ring. The same hero also defeated her champion, Umaril the Unfeathered, who had returned from Oblivion after his defeat in the First Era.

( FOURTH ERA )

Meridia offered the sword Dawnbreaker to the Last Dragonborn in 4E 201 in return for helping her cleanse her temple, which had become tainted by a necromancer and the shades of the corpses he desecrated.

TokRev Bois with Superpowers

A/N: Hey hey y'all! This idea sprung up on me while I was perusing the Superhero Database and I wanted to share it wit y'all! I tried to keep the bois powers as cohesive as possible (although admittedly, Mikey's sonic scream is kinda random 'cus the idea just ran into me full speed and wouldn't let go 🙃) and I tried to keep the number of powers limited. Let me know what y'all think! Enjoy!

Mikey:

- Sonic Scream

Can shape shift into nearly any conceivable living creature, but must possess knowledge of and be able to visualize the creature in order to shift into it.

- Berserk Mode 

Primarily stemming from his animalistic instincts, Keisuke has the ability to enter a 'Berserk Mode,' which temporarily grants him enhanced speed, durability and strength in whatever form he's taken.

- Camouflage 

By consciously tapping into the power of the chameleon (an animal which he can shapeshift into), this ability allows Keisuke to seamlessly blend into his surroundings, whether that be walls, foliage, people, etc.

Sanzu:

- Bloodlust 

Beyond the general intense focus that accompanies it, this state greatly increases the keenness of Haruchiyo's senses, enabling him to see, feel and hear things beyond his normal limited human capacity.

- Blood Manipulation 

Similar to bloodbending, Haruchiyo can manipulate the blood of others, although dissimilarly from the aforementioned bending, Haruchiyo can only manipulate the blood once it has exited the body of the target, including his own.

The extracted blood can then be used to create a number of tools and utilities, including keys, lockpicks and weapons.

- Master Swordsman 

Hanma:

- Decay Embodiment 

Shuji can manipulate aspects of death such as rot, dust, mold and of course, the titular decay. This ability is a variation of life force manipulation, and as such, Shuji can even cause the soul of a person to begin rotting or decaying. 

- Enhanced Durability 

Shuji possesses an incredibly durable body that can withstand blows that would normally break the bone of others less hardwearing.

Izana:

- Chaos Manipulation

Izana’s ability of Chaos Manipulation allows him to, in a sense, alter the very fabric of reality. He can shape the likelihood of events happening, and control whether they do or don’t. Subsequently, there’s not really a limit to what Izana can accomplish with this power.

Kazutora:

- Atmokinesis (the ability to psionically control the weather)

This ability, along with Kazutora’s other power, is tied heavily to his emotional state. Because Kazutora is volatile emotionally, he sometimes cannot control this ability well, and has the potential to do major amounts of damage if not careful. 

- Elemental Transformation 

This power allows Kazutora to change the chemical and physical makeup of his body into any one of the four main elements, those being Earth, Air, Fire and Water. These states are tied to his emotions: for example, being angry will cause his body to heat rapidly, eventually catching fire, being calm or in a deep state of relaxation will cause his body to harden like stone/earth, etc.

Kisaki: 

- Telepathy 

Tetta is a telepath. He can read and sense the emotions of others to a heightened degree, as well as hear people’s thoughts and detect when they are lying.

- Necromancy 

Tetta possesses the ability to telepathically commune with the souls of deceased animals and humans, allowing him to temporarily call them back to their bodies. During the period in which the deceased are “called,” they are completely subservient to Tetta’s whims. In order for Tetta to call upon the soul of a deceased creature, he need be in the vicinity of the body/place of burial of the creature.

- Latent Abilities 

Tetta, as a by-product of his telepathic abilities, possesses also the ability to influence objects in his immediate environment either willingly or unwillingly, based on his emotional state (i.e anger causes objects to shake and shatter, sadness causes objects, like flowers, to wilt and lose vitality or color, anxiety and alternatively joy causes objects to float, etc.)

Highly Complex DID

What “Complex” Means:

From what we’ve read, it seems like Complex refers to the specific disorder’s criteria. C-PTSD is PTSD with a different presentation; in this case, multiple/prolonged trauma causes difficulty tracing symptoms in the same ways as other PTSD cases. C-DID is DID with a different presentation; here it’s more intricate mechanisms that lead treatment down another path. Even CDD, which is dissociation into self-states instead of one dissociating self-state. The C just means that thing, plus some extra. There are going to be cases where a Complex patient is actually more simple to care for than a non-Complex patient — it’s just a matter of narrowing it down with more criteria.

Highly Complex:

As far as I know, there are no other communities that use Highly Complex as a label. It’s a specific word to whittle down the topic even further; C-DID but with more specifiers. For HC-DID, the specifiers are programming and structuring. Every human who experienced programming and lived is a RAMCOA survivor. Not every RAMCOA survivor considers themself a HC-DID system. Some survivors didn’t form systems at all. Others don’t think their system qualifies. Maybe people just don’t want to identify themselves this way. Even if it were a medical diagnosis — it’s not — forcing people to use labels they don’t want is rude at best.

What RAMCOA Is:

RAMCOA stands for Ritual Abuse, Mind Control, Organized Abuse. Surviving any of those is enough to belong in the community.

Ritual Abuse - maltreatment (of anyone) including ceremonies or traditions. It can be anything from religious sacrifice to underage marriage.

Mind Control - manipulation of psychological processes. I genuinely don’t know if there has to be negative intent or a specific plan from the abuser to qualify, but even targeted McDonald’s ads make use of mind control (probably not abusively, I’ve never looked into that).

Organized Abuse - maltreatment that involves multiple perpetrators collaborating in their perpetration. If two people meet at a bar and then hurt a child together, that’s enough. It can be elaborate groups like churches or criminal groups, but the only requirement is more than one perp.

It can be one or a mix of any, but it’s still RAMCOA. Usually, the DID community uses RAMCOA to talk about surviving programming (Trauma-Based Mind Control for the purpose of creating a system), and we label our systems Highly Complex.

Extra Criteria:

To be Highly Complex, survivors are usually closest to C-DID. But wait, there’s more!

HC-DID systems also receive:

Programming - I only know of TBMC being used to split off dissociative alters, but I’d budge on that if someone knew otherwise. Abusers control the child (body) by causing calculated suffering until they get the results they want. Perps split off alters with goals in mind for them, and continue to break them until they fit the desires of the abusers. This control extends to every other aspect of HC-DID, and is the reason another label exists at all.

Layers - different dimensions of innerworld. Sometimes this looks like literal other realms inside, but it could also be like floors of a building or planets or other separate worlds. Layers are often assigned a name or cue that allows outsiders to maneuver a system’s landscape from the external world. Perps don’t go in as much as they bring out, by assigned alter or other cued manipulations.

Subsystems - alters with alters, except also programmed. Cues are assigned to each subsystem alter as well, usually related to the subsystem as a collective. Just like programmed singlet alters, subsystems can be arranged by outsiders for memories, tasks, etc.

Sidesystems - kind of multiple systems within the metasystem. Groups might be contained in a separate innerworld pocket, unwilling to communicate with other alters, or otherwise unreachable in the same way other groups are. These sidesystems usually have a collective task, or function as a whole other system in the body. Details of what they do and why are also conditioned.

Programs - conditioning attached to cues. Programs might force amnesia, give body memories, set off chains of tasks, or any other typical or atypical system capability. Programs might be perceived as wires and buttons, or files, or whatever else programmers decide.

Not all HC-DID systems will have the same level of programming. Not all programmed systems will be more “complex” that other systems. Having a term to describe our unique experiences helps a lot of survivors to feel understood, especially if they’re already open about their past.

RAMCOA survivors are kept in a strange position online and irl. We’re used as examples of “unimaginable trauma” and “extreme abuse”, but are largely told to sit down and shut up; we’re too dangerous to speak up about what was done to us, too unbelievable, or too much at all. Finding help is a nightmare, sucks butt for everyone involved, and is fairly necessary for long term recovery. Like many systems, we beat the odds time and time again to call ourselves “survivors” instead of “victims”. Like many systems, we are rejected by most of society. Unlike most systems, we are a secret within system communities.

Being Complex is not being special, it’s just a haughty way to say there are extra requirements. Recovery for many systems is already a stretch. For HC-DID systems, we are healing the impossible.

i can for sure imagine lumpus as being Old and it even feels more "right" to me but it also frustrates me a little bit while trying to figure stuff out... a few ramblings about this under the cut

there's genuinely just no way for me to make it work with stuff like him being childhood friends at camp with slinkman without making them AND jane (!) the same/similar old age... which i Could very well do! but i'd probably cap it at like 50 and i already have important dates organized and even designs made according to the timeline i already had, so it'd kind of overhaul... everything. i think it'd leave me with some stuff that actually makes more sense, and even more that makes less sense... but. i'd have to write things out and think about them. and the thing is that i can probably see slinkman being in his late 40's as well, but jane, on the other hand, not so much... and their history together is important to things to me too! so it's like i'm being tugged in a few directions and if i were to alter something at this point in time it would likely end in a sacrifice. so i would make lumpus a bit older if i could but all of this is the most important thing to me...

so, its really itching my brain right now just due to the Shape of my thoughts, which isn't a good way to go about things, but its sort of become apart of my process and i have to sort of just... deal with it. (most of the time it helps me decide on things and overall has me more satisfied with it, but at other times, it's really not based on anything and ends in situations like this...)

in a way, there's almost like two different versions of things i could go with:

1. lumpus and slinkman meet as adults, with lumpus being a good deal older than him, and lumpus is stuck working the job because nothing else will take him + weird power trip + he comes from a line of scoutmasters.

i can see myself thinking about this version of events too cus i do think it's perfectly solid on its own and fits the more casual tone of the actual show. i might even like how this one is "shaped" a bit more. if i wanted, i could have this be how i view the show's canon timeline (which would include a lot more of the episodes than i personally do) so i can at least have/explore those ideas somewhere as well...

(additionally, chris had some alternative ideas for how dead bean drop could still work with that, and i can imagine playing with that to some degree)

but then there's 2. my version of things in my own version of the show, where lumpus and slinkman (and jane!) attend camp as kids, and there isn't anything like lumpus' family history of scoutmasters.

i think this in itself sort of lends everything to be very character driven, where things like history over time and the characters' general psychology and motivation contribute to themes and more complexity in the stories that wouldn't work as well with the base source material. in my version of everything, i am aiming a bit higher than the average person, after all, to imagine something that's more than only building off of the source material. the main difference of what drives them all back to camp ends up more tied up in those sorts of things, where lumpus is mostly here of his own volition despite hating everything (+ the weird power trip stuff). there's a lot more there to dig into which is more interesting and fun to me personally, and his relationship and close with slinkman i feel almost hinges on this sort of set-up because of how everything ends up tying together, as discussed here. for what i'm doing, it all simply hits harder with the emotional backing if i have it like this, and because of how things are already set up, that means i do still have to make some decisions like the topic of today's post where lumpus is a bit younger than i'd imagine him to be as well

while the first option is perfectly suitable for the actual show, a lot of the elements just don't work for what i'm trying to accomplish, and that's okay. i gotta be okay with that! and to allow myself to do More than one thing if i want, because "canon" is being made subjective and malleable here anyway. we are all just playing around and i'm allowed to play around in multiple ways if i want to as well

end the end, i don't think i even use any lore from episodes like the bean tree in the first place, but, it is sort of crazy when you think about it that its equally as canon that we went from "teenagers at camp 15 years ago" in dead bean drop to slinkman implying lumpus is like way older in the bean tree, but i guess there's really something for everyone here depending on how you want to go about it

To be clear, it’s looking more and more likely that if you are at all active in anything fate or Tokyo afterschools summoners adjacent, regardless of what your actual blog content is, they will very likely spam you with asks about various serial killers, fascist dictators, Columbus and cu alter, and various characters from Tokyo afterschool summoners. There is no respect of boundaries or what people may be willing to engage with

And while it’s true that anonymity does give you the option to act however you wish, just because you CAN do something doesn’t mean you should. In this case, do not feed the troll, and block them.

To be clear: do not engage with them, and DEFINITELY do not harass them! Blocking and ignoring is the best way to deal with this, and engagement of any sort is most likely what they’re looking for. Do not give them that!

Lostbelt Servants Often Don't Work as Chaldea Servants

I've reached a conclusion on why I dislike servant x Ritsuka pairings so much, and ended up spending a few hours thinking about some other thoughts.

When it comes to the gacha game format, you don't have enough time to develop every character equally, and certainly not the way fgo goes about it (Oh boy another lb6 centered event? You really shouldn't have Nasu...). As a result, oftentimes servants only ever get interludes (and sometimes events, but even those are shaky) to develop their bond with Ritsuka, and this is even worse for lostbelt/singularity villains, because they have to shed an entire dynamic and replace it with a new one. Sometimes this can work fine, or even improve the character, such as with characters like Cu Alter, Hessian Lobo, Jeanne Alter, Jason, and even arguably Avicebron, but oftentimes they can sort of... flounder.

Cu and Jeanne Alter succeeded because fundamentally there was that initial gap that comes from an enemy, not only because they were a villain but because we simply haven't developed a bond yet. So they showed us it, they showed Cu Alter learning to trust and rely on us in his interludes, we saw Jeanne do the same across multiple events. They didn't just abandon their old identity they had to built a new one off the corpses strewn by their old one.

Characters like Anastasia... don't get that, they get a facsimile of a bond developed because they don't want to restart from the very beginning of the relationship pole or be obligated to use all of their lostbelt characteristics.

So rather than showing Ritsuka and Anastasia growing a close bond and her developing a crush on him, we get one dream sequence where Anastasia confided in him that she kind of hates the people who killed her parents. Then it's just... "oh my master is utterly adorable" from her and then "Why don't you kiss her, master?" from Medea

None of this was earned or developed, at best it was implied because other people say similar stuff about Ritsuka, but notably, none of those scenes include Anastasia. They're writing this interlude like it's an alternate timeline where Anastasia was a main servant who watched you grow and develop similar to Mash (Thanks to @300iqprower for making me realize this). There is no unique relationship, there's no event where they were forced together, we just have to assume that at some point Anatasia and Ritsuka hungout a bunch and she got a crush on him.

It feels more like a filled in template for a servant-master relationship than anything actually developing. Why does Anastasia like Ritsuka? Because he's nice, trustworthy, and strong. Great, the same applies to Mash, Ushiwakamaru, Melusine and so so many other servants. There is nothing to me that says she would love Ritsuka for any reason unique to Anastasia, in the same way I can look at her and Kadoc and see why they love each other in the crypter manga. There's no Ritsuka discussing how he can relate to having his opportunity to grow into an adult ruined, there's no Ritsuka having to fight by her side for an extended period of time, there's no Ritsuka helping her come to terms with her family's death, it's just... nothing. It's Anastasia having a crush on Ritsuka because it's Ritsuka.

And like... we have to see this this with so many servants. As much as I love Barghest and find Melusine interesting, to a massive degree they were made worse after lb6. The desire to protect Fae Britain and Aurora respectively was an intrinsic part of their character, and when none of those exist, there's just a big hole in their motivations and relationships. But rather than write elaborate depictions of what changes in their personality there is, Melusine decides that Ritsuka is their lover and Barghest does... cooking? And also wants to fuck Master sometimes.

Worse than remaining stagnant a lot of lostbelt characters actively plateau. Stuck in a hell where all their characterization is dependent on the unique setting of a lostbelt, but also being physically unable to do anything with that setting because then they have to deal with the baggage associated with it.

This is to the point where the only characters who become better or remain well written after their lostbelts are overwhelming the ones who completely sideset this issue. Yu Mei-Ren and Qin? Popped into throne of spirits. Percival, Habetrot, Aesclepius, and Gareth? Literally completely different characters. William Tell, and Odysseus? Lostbelt fuckery. So they develop a new character from scratch and are forced to deal with that.

But a lot of servants don't get that. We know Melusine's past and generic character traits, the game implies (doesn't show) how they grow to like Ritsuka, so we don't get to see any more of that develop. Rather we get to see whatever they decide they would fit best for the present, which typically is uninteresting and repeated.

while i think there's more than one way you can attempt to define what lies at the essence of cu alter's "berserkerness", ultimately what it's about is his adherence to duty and honor - and therefore his role - at all costs, including his own humanity. this is what makes him both nightingale's parallel as well as her foil, because she too is willing to sacrifice everything, right down to her very humanity, in order to fulfill her duty. the difference is that nightingale's dedication to her role has a particular conviction behind it: she genuinely cares about helping others and healing as many people as possible. they're both hellbent on fulfilling their roles, but in cu alter's case, it's because he believes that honoring his role in and of itself is a virtue, irregardless of what the outcome of doing so may be.

and that difference between nightingale and cu alter is very similar to the difference between alter and his original counterpart, lancer. cu lancer and cu alter share their dedication to duty and honor, but in lancer's case, it is balanced out by his ability to love and care for others, while cu alter was born out of a situation that forces him to suppress most of his feelings altogether, including these ones which allow lancer to retain his humanity. this is why lancer will obey his master up until he is asked to kill someone he has discovered he cares for, while cu alter won't hesitate to kill even his beloved mentor. alter's tragedy is that he was made to see himself as someone who only exists to fulfill the role of weapon, so he suppresses his feelings and regards them as worthless so that they won't interfere with that view of himself, which leaves him unable to use them to make his own decisions about where he points this blade that he has become and why. which makes sense, of course - weapons don't decide how they're used, their owners do, and cu alter was created to do what someone else wanted him to. he's not devoid of purpose, but he is devoid of agency in directing that purpose.
