it’s already annoying enough that they still, in 2025, 4.5 years after the fifth season ended, run blogs almost solely dedicated to hating on a cartoon since they can’t find a better hobby, but what really bothers me at this point is how they have to make their superiority complex everyone else’s problem and go out of their way to bully & harass stans over their posts under the guise of “debunking arguments” (which, even if that is true, debates aren’t always inherently invited and dragging someone into them by assuming “existence of post = open discussion” when they aren’t interested may violate a boundary), usually indirectly so that we don’t know and won’t respond to it.

glimmadora shippers (who are catradora antis, nothing wrong with just liking the ship itself!) are definitely the most frequently guilty, thinking of 1-2 blog usernames in particular here, and they largely overlap with the first group in your list — many of them tend to also be lumity fans (again, so am i, i have the owl house showrunner’s art of them as my main blog’s icon; that alone is not the issue) and compare it to catradora because if it’s not perfect fluff then it’s apparently not acceptable to portray in (animated) media. it’s rather ironic because they are so loud about being against toxic behavior + obsession with people minding their own business, but have no problem actively engaging with these things online in order to make sure others know they hold the wrong opinion over pixels + lines on a screen.

the ones that have really surprised me though, are hordak & shadow weaver stans. it’s a cheap excuse to accuse them of ableism* & misogyny & lesbophobia (and trust me, i also hate pointing fingers at baseless bigotry when it doesn’t apply tot the situation), yet abusive characters in this show are clearly fine to enjoy just as long as they’re not catra, which therefore implies… exactly those ideas. they hide behind a façade of caring about ableism via entrapta’s writing** and the end scene of 4x01 when catra holds hordak’s crystal over his head to bribe him, but either they’re very biased and cherrypick who deserves protection from discriminatory beliefs based on a subjective “perfect victim” status in the fandom, or they’re simply weaponizing those criticism arguments in order to silence opposing voices among the discourse regarding catra’s redemption arc getting more attention, since she’s a main character, than the cardboard cutout big-bad villain, who wasn’t supposed to have anywhere near as much development or sympathy given from the beginning. i roll my eyes when they complain about how season five catered to her so much, especially instead of hordak, because the show has literally always been primarily about catradora and the best friends squad by extension; hordak was nothing more than a tool for the narrative. that means you got what you came for, so you can either stay mad or leave ─ i highly suggest the latter for everyone else's sake.

i’ve been collecting receipts of the latter group that you can check through all the various reblogs (it’s not a neat consecutive thread unfortunately, sorry) in the notes here, just because it’s difficult for me to believe those takes are actually real if i can’t prove it to even just myself, lol lmao.

another thing i’d like to mention is that i’ve seen antis mention biphobia coming from she-ra stans a few times now, and as a bisexual activist who is unapologetic about calling that crap out without any respect for the perpetrator, the funny thing is… this is pretty much the only fandom where it hasn’t occurred that much in my experience, let alone to such an unbearable level — mind you, i’ve been here since june 2020 (not on this account, but wherever SPOP existed on the internet). it’s always been much more prevalent in arcane spaces, hell even the owl house with three prominent bisexual characters and only one canon lesbian is filled with far too much erasure & policing regarding our identity. also no one ever cares about bringing up bisexuals unless it’s to hate on us somehow, so i always find a sudden uptick in concern from monos that can be essentially read as a “gotcha” or otherwise supporting detail rather than its own thoughtful discussion to be deceitful and i tend to be quite wary of it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

*ableism in this case comes from catra’s heavy BPD-coding, which i can speak on as i also have it — or at least share most of its symptoms consistently, which has been overall agreed upon by my psychiatrist.

**that’s not to say how entrapta being autistic was handled, especially in 5x02, isn’t problematic, especially considering i’m autistic too and that has rightfully made our community uncomfortable, generally speaking. i just don’t trust authentic critique with genuine love for the character or even basic respect for this piece of media as a whole to come from that crowd specifically.

I have been in enough fandoms to understand that some of the people who stick around the longest are those who act the most scarred after watching the media. It's like stockholme syndrome. Or it's like hating the thing is what gives them drive in the world.

I have also been on the other side of this. I remained a Homestuck blog for a whole four years after the ending made me depressed about Terezi Pyrope, even lasting an additional year and a half after the dogshit epilogues released, through to the demise of Hiveswap and Homestuck^2, before I realised enough was enough and let Adventure Time give me sanctuary again.

But Homestuck had its Gamzee fans who hated the comic and fandom, Adventure Time had its Lemongrab fans who hated the show and fandom, and it seems She-ra has its fair share of antis.

The She-ra antis consist of the following groups, from my observation:

Former fans who got obsessed with some other show and have to bash She-ra because it ain't cool anymore. Usually Owl House fans but can be from anywhere. Their hate is universally connected to propping something else up, and is never done in isolation.

Hordak fans who hate Catra and maybe every other character and crew member and the show. There are a lot of the reverse, Catra fans who hate Hordak, which is part of why this group is so persistent, as a "counter" to this Hordak hate. However, the Catra fans who are Hordak antis MOSTLY do not hate the show (they are just... out of touch with it and generally have bad takes). I've seen one or two extreme cases of Catra apologists accusing Adora, Scorpia, and even Entrapta of abuse, but they were completely alone in their feelings. The Hordak fans who hate Catra tend to also hate Glimmer, Mermista, Adora, Bow, and say that the show is ableist or whatever, but they do not actually harbor much love for Entrapta. Her victimisation is an excuse for their behaviour and they have no understanding of her chaotic character. Do not interact.

Glimmadora fans (the ones who purely seem to exist to make 'Spop Is Abusive' posts). Why the fuck Glimmadora fans hate the show so much, I do not understand. But these are probably the most In-Your-Face of these three groups. While the Hordak fans mentioned above have a lot of similarity to Homestuck Gamzee fans or Adventure Time Lemongrab fans in the weird way they'll hate on the show for doing their blorbo wrong, Glimmadora fans don't have that evidence because they don't really care about Glimmer or Adora. They have absolutely nothing to say about the show, other than that it is Bad. My theory on these Glimmadora fans is that they really liked the Glimmer and Adora ship on a superficial level, and then the show decided to have its Deeper Themes and give Catra and Adora a messy, complicated relationship. There was a lot happening after season 3 where people went "CATRADORA IS REALLY ABUSIVE AND CATRA IS HORRIBLE AND YOU SHOULDNT SHIP HER WITH ANYONE". This period was SO fucking harmful to the fandom that it never recovered, so much work was lost and deleted from AO3. People would say "Glimmadora is a much better ship anyway". But then when season 4 rolled around and, uhh, Glimmer was acting like a little shit all season (for good reason but she really fucked things up with Adora), and Glimmadora crumbled into ash? Well the Glimmadora truthists felt like the show was working against them and that Season 5 was a grand conspiracy to make the Abusive ship Catradora canon!!! The funniest part of this is I sympathise a lot with these feelings. I used to be a Glimmadora truther myself when I watched the show in fall 2021. I was like, "wow, look how nice this ship is. And they go with catradora in the end?? Fucking HOW???". But then seasons 4 and 5 happened and.... yeah, I was disappointed with how Glimmer and Adora's friendship ended up, but I was ENAMORED by the messiness of Catra's character and how raw her and Adora felt about each other even in spite of all the bullshit. I never made excuses about the show being abuse apologising. I analysed it purely in how believable the relationships were and what the intentions of the characters are.

Of these groups, the ones responsible for the most actual SPOP Anti blogs are undoubtedly the Glimmadoras. The only time I've seen something similar, so many antis appearing, was because of Steven Universe ship wars. You have NO IDEA how petty people feel about Lapidot, Amedot, all the dots, all the amethysts. A crew member was chased off the internet over it, or left the internet over the show's own decisions, depending on whether you believe the """screenshots""" that were taken of Zuke's ""private blog""".

Hes also super responsive and active and seems really eager to share his creation techniques and spread the joy of making things in spore [2008]. His blog almost singlehandedly sparked a significant resurgence in interest and playerbase of a 16 year old game that most people see as nothing but a meme. Hes just a guy who likes spore [2008]

So the thing is that MK is hearing the past from both POVs. Macaque by definition can hear ANYTHING so yeah he could definitely experience MKs memories. But the thing is-does he want to? I headcanon that his future-present-past hearing abilities are something he only used a couple of times, and because what he heard from them was so traumatic, he decided to NOT use them again (like wukong laser eyes)

Because on one side, he's a stone monkey, who, by nature like Wukong, can perfectly age and grow like a normal monkey. On the other hand, he's technically died already, and by the time he was created by Nuwa, both his biological fathers were already immortal (Wukong bc yes, Macaque because he's a demon, and he can die from wounds and illness, but can't age)

So to answer: we don't know yet what's with him. we will see (I promise that)

MK can't make the same clones macaque has. He can control a little bit his own shadow, and use that as a clone. so as long as it's his own shadow, it's more Mac area, if it's his own hair clone then it's Wukong's

Yes they know about them. No they aren't his kids let's say. My own personal headcanon for the Au (or the show in general) is that they are both Macaque shadow, like- clones with a little bit of personality just like MK clones represent specific parts of his personality. He has 2 of them because he lived 2 lives, one before and one after he was brought back to life.

I can't be the only one here who thinks it's unfair to allow kittypets on this site. Posting pictures of themselves and their mates inside of the twolegplace, influencing the young kits on this site to abandon their Clans... surely everyone else sees the problem with this as well.

This is Clanblr, not "Kittypetblr". This was specifically made as a space for Clan cats to connect, not for kittypets to push their lifestyle on us.

They're going to convince our kits to abandon their home and their belief in StarClan just for a more secure life.

The recent drama surrounding Kipper the Kittypet is sad and I hate that he's being bashed just for existing, but it's also incredibly stupid. I believe the cat who wrote the original post said something like, "it's CLANblr, not KITTYPETblr," and then something about belief in StarClan and I just... do you even realize how many Clanblr mods are non-Clan and/or don't believe in StarClan?

To name a few, @s-t-a-r-burning is former WindClan now rogue & openly an atheist, @theshadowhaseyes has been a kittypet his whole life, and @ssuunnrraayy-p has made zir entire blog about how ze travels from one Clan to another & doesnt consider zimself a Clan cat. Those are all mods. "It's clanblr no-" shut up. Just shut up.

This is a dilemma for me. I have loved doing this blog and going out to look for pictures and interesting things to bring here has given me motivation and meaning through years of struggle with depression and several kinds of grief. Going out to look for pictures has put me in situations where I have seen incredible beauty, much of which I never really managed to capture. Also, the many warm and kind messages I've received from people all over the world have given me heart and made me feel less meaningless as a person and more connected. Sometimes I've been criticized for buying the checkmarks and giving money to Tumblr but I wanted to do what I could because Tumblr has been my one happy and safe place online. But now this. To me AI in relation to creativity is just a way for well-to-do but untalented people, the proverbial tech bros, to profit from other people's hard work and creativity. It has no redeeming value in relation to creativity and is actively harmful to artists of all kinds. <trying to figure out how to put a read more link here> I don't even count myself among the real creatives, artists and writers and others who have worked hard and put years into honing their crafts, into learning to translate their hearts and unique spirits into their creative expression. I just see beautiful things and take pictures of them. But it would still make me sick to see AI works based on my pictures, on these times and places that have meant so much to me. Recently I saw a set of cat 'photos' on here that everyone was reblogging and exclaiming over but that to me seemed to just be AI art that was more convincing than most. As time goes on more and more output of AI is going to be almost indistinguishable from real works and unscrupulous people will pass them off as real, getting credit for what was actually created by others. Whether they profit from them becomes almost irrelevant at that point because what's worse is that we will have less and less sense of what is real. And as some have pointed out AI will now also be scraping from AI, muddying the waters further from here on in. This is an apocalypse of sorts, an apocalypse of creativity, ultimately likely to kill the joy of artistic endeavor for many who would otherwise produced brilliant, beautiful, funny, and/or shockingly original things. I'm still parsing and dissecting my thoughts and feelings about what Tumblr has done and how to react. Staying and leaving my blog up feels like consent. I am not confident in the integrity of anyone connected with scraping sites for AI. I'm not convinced that a little toggle in settings is going to make much of a difference in the long run. On the other hand I like posting here and I have received enough messages over the years to know that my blog is a positive influence on some lives. I was looking forward to May and June and posting pictures of the incredible beauty of eastern Pennsylvania in those months. And I was planning on making a side blog for posting some poetry I've been working on. It will break my heart to leave.

I haven't decided yet. Believe it or not this whole thing has given me awful physical symptoms. I'll let you know when I decide. Thank you again for your kind and lovely note!

Thirty miles go by rather quickly when the driver is doing seventy miles per hour while kissing each of one’s fingers and also squeezing the inner length of one’s thigh.

Aziraphale is convinced he’s going to die. But he’s not that bothered by it.

What a way to go.

He doesn’t die, of course, because Anthony can do everything. The car slides to a halt in a snow-covered driveway before a bungalow-style house that is much tinier than Aziraphale had expected. Anthony slams it in park and heaves himself from the car, runs around the front, and pulls Aziraphale out before he can register that they’re really here.

They start making out against the car before the door is even closed. Anthony cups Aziraphale’s face between buttery-soft leather gloves. His lips are crushing, his tall, lithe body so strong, almost overpowering. Aziraphale’s mind goes completely blank as he rides a wave of anticipation that has him aching most painfully.

When Aziraphale shivers, not from the cold but with delight, Anthony groans and pulls away.

“God,” he says. His exhale steams in the cold night air. “You are the most amazing kisser.”

Part of Aziraphale wants to protest; all he’s doing is standing there. But another part knows it simply because he has a connection to this man that he hasn’t felt with anyone else.

“Come on inside,” Anthony says, waggling his brows. “And I do mean that literally.”

Aziraphale laughs. They shuffle through the ankle-deep snow to a path that leads to the front door. Anthony holds it open, flips on a light in the entryway. And the second Aziraphale is inside, Anthony is kissing him again.

“Mm,” he hums as he allows Aziraphale room to breathe again. “I’m going to give you a tour, and kiss you in every room of this house.”

Aziraphale’s heart thuds in his chest. “Oh.”

Anthony discards his coat and suit jacket, hangs them on a row of hooks on the wall, then helps Aziraphale to do the same.

“So,” he announces, straightening to his full height and smiling widely. He sweeps an arm from one wall to the next. “This, my friend, is the entry.”

It’s not meant to be funny, but Aziraphale finds it so. He chuckles as he removes his shoes. He hopes his feet don’t stink too badly.

Anthony takes his hand and pulls him down the hallway toward what looks to be a very large kitchen. “Well, if you liked that, you’re going to love this!”

Bright and open, completely modernized with shiny chrome surfaces, Aziraphale notes that the amount of space between one counter and the opposite wall is bigger than his entire apartment. And he decides this home is the TARDIS: bigger on the inside.

“I do love –” he begins, but stops when he notices Anthony working to remove his tie. Long elegant fingers slide seductively (or at least, that’s what Aziraphale sees) to loosen and slip through and pull from beneath an unbuttoned collar. Two more buttons are gone before Aziraphale has time to brace against the center kitchen island, and then Anthony is reaching for his tie, too.

“I thought you preferred bow ties,” he says, speaking right down the inside of his collar and into the hollow of Aziraphale’s clavicle.

Aziraphale, ear twinging as if a cat has purred into it, continues with the Dr. Who theme. “Bow ties are cool.”

Anthony snorts a laugh and runs his nose along the collar’s edge, working the top buttons of the shirt. He kisses the throbbing pulse on Aziraphale’s neck.

“Do you like my kitchen?”

Aziraphale, currently on cloud nine under the influence of a succubus, whimpers.

“That’s a yes,” Anthony smiles. He makes a point to suckle under the point of his Adam’s apple, then moves abruptly and quickly, tugging Aziraphale by the elbow into the next room.

“Living room.”

It’s a space that has been taken over by a sectional couch and large ottomans, like some type of harem tent with a massive TV on the wall. It’s clear that this room is meant to be a haven from the outside world; a place to escape reality and fall into something less stressful.

Aziraphale wonders for a moment which body part will be next, until Anthony begins undoing the remainder of his own buttons. His smile has turned wicked.

He’s not wearing an undershirt, as evident by the skin that peeks out little by little. Underneath he’s bare with hints of dark red hair that looks as if it’s been groomed to follow the curves of a surprisingly lean-muscled chest. This, of course, sets Aziraphale into a panic, because he knows he’s about to be next. And he isn’t quite sure he’s ready for Anthony to see the regrettable soft body that lays hidden under his clothing.

But as Anthony works Aziraphale’s buttons, gaze focused on the job, that fear eases slightly. Eases because it feels incredibly good to have someone dote on him in such a way.

Anthony slides both hands beneath Aziraphale’s untucked undershirt once the buttons are finished. The initial shock of warm fingers causes Aziraphale to stiffen. But as the shirt rides up over the swell of his belly, bunching under Anthony’s steady movements, he heaves a deep sigh and gives himself a talking-to.

Now listen here, Aziraphale, he scolds. He hears the voice in his head. This man is not afraid of your skin, so why the hell are you? 

And he answers, out loud. “I’m afraid you won’t like what you see.”

To that, Anthony looks up, ceases the worship of his body, quizzical. His thumbs are dangerously close to Aziraphale’s nipples.

“And why on earth would I not like it?”

Aziraphale shrugs and decides to be honest. What does he have to lose at this point? “Because of the extra weight, and the lack of any muscle to speak of. Getting older, you know?”

Anthony’s concern turns into understanding, and he takes a step closer yet. He does indeed find both nipples. Circles them with his thumbs. It feels absolutely incredible.

“I do know. I happen to be experiencing age too.”

Nails scrape across sensitive surfaces and Aziraphale whines. He closes his eyes and tries to stay on course. “I’ve got three years on you, and you know it. No need to be smug about it.”

Anthony is grinning when Aziraphale opens his eyes. The man is full-on pinching both nipples now. 

“I’m not smug. I’m smitten,” he croons before ducking his head. Aziraphale quickly reaches for Anthony’s shoulders lest he pass out from pleasure.

Lightning zings straight to his crotch as Anthony suckles, as he pulls with teeth and laves with tongue and –

“God!”

The other nipple gets served the same kind of attention, and Anthony combs spread fingers through Aziraphale’s chest hair. He briefly remembers a discussion about removing it; by the feel of it, Anthony seems to be enjoying himself. Aziraphale is glad for understanding stylists.

Anthony makes a pained sound as he pulls back, as he allows Aziraphale’s shirt to fall, as he joins their hands and pulls once again.

“The study is next. Where I write. Where I keep my plants. I think you’ll like it.”

Aziraphale does indeed like it.

Maybe it’s the raging adrenaline, but Aziraphale can barely breathe as he walks into a virtual jungle. The whole outside wall is fitted with large panes of glass. Every available surface is covered by a hanging or or shelved or suctioned plant. He had forgotten the other man’s obsession with flora.

Anthony is beaming by this time, as he guides Aziraphale with one hand between his shoulder blades. “Look outside into the backyard. I’m building a greenhouse.”

Aziraphale laughs as he searches for an available peephole. He ends up pushing aside a spider plant to make room, and as he gazes out on a snow-filled back garden, he does indeed see a concrete slab upon which a frame has been partially erected.

He feels rather than hears Anthony sidle up behind him. Feels hands slide across his waistline. Feels fingers find his belt. He forgets to suck in his gut as those fingers unloose his belt, the button, the zipper. And he forgets to breathe as trousers are pushed off his substantial hips and glide down his legs to the floor.

Aziraphale thinks he can guess what Anthony intends to kiss next, as he finds purchase with both hands on the windowsill. With fingers inside his underwear, forcing the waistband over the bulge of his backside, Anthony means to kiss his –

“Oh, this ass,” he moans, muffled-like, crouching as underwear is peeled away from skin. “You’d make me a very happy man if you would give me permission to –”

“Yes,” Aziraphale breathes, fogging the glass. “Yes. Anything. Anything.”

A hand smooths out the hairs on one cheek. There’s a smile in Anthony’s voice when he speaks next. “No. Not anything,” he whispers. Aziraphale feels warm breath on the meat of that same cheek. “Only the things you like, my Angel.”

The sound Aziraphale makes, hearing that name, feeling those lips pressing into the skin of his backside?

“Fuck!”

Anthony snuffles as he laughs into the kiss. “Yes, yes. Patience. I’ve still got two more rooms to go!”

Aziraphale feels most gravely disappointed when his underwear is returned to its original position, as his trousers are pulled up, as the zipper is rezipped. He lets this fact be known when Anthony directs and pulls him up the stairs.

“You didn’t have to stop.”

Anthony’s laugh echoes in the open space. “Oh, but I did. If I continued, I’d be rogering you against the desk. And that is indecent for an Angel such as yourself.”

Aziraphale is momentarily stunned at the word. At both words, but one in particular. He most certainly is not angelic. There are fantasies he wouldn’t dream of telling anyone. Not even Anthony.

Well, possibly not Anthony. Not yet, anyway.

The upstairs is smaller than the downstairs, consisting of only two rooms. On the left lies the bedroom, on the right, the bath. It’s to the right that Anthony directs him first. 

Like a specter performing a jumpscare on a haunted house visitor, Aziraphale’s image is suddenly reflected back at him from a very large mirror. He absolutely hates looking at his reflection. In fact, he purposely avoids doing so in his own bath, especially if he’s naked. And since he’s partially undressed, his belly hanging out and his hair all askew, he immediately recoils and looks away.

Anthony, unaware, follows him inside, peeling back Aziraphale’s shirt and then pulling it off by both sleeves. He lifts the undershirt all the way to his shoulders, then kisses gently between the shoulder blades there.

“Close the door,” he whispers, lips moving faintly against Aziraphale’s skin. “Take a few deep breaths. I think we both need to put our thoughts in order.”

And then he leaves. He backs out and rounds the corner until he disappears, most likely, into the bedroom. With heart in his throat, not exactly frightened, but close, Aziraphale obeys and shuts the door between them.

Aziraphale follows the advice and tries to calm himself. A nagging voice in the back of his skull is laughing at him, asking why someone like Anthony would be interested in someone like Aziraphale. But he shoves the voice way down deep. And he forces himself to look in the mirror.

“He wants you,” he says to the reflection. “He wants you so badly that he needs space.”

And that serves to boost his ego.

He discards the trousers, slips off both socks. He musses his hair to something less like he stuck a finger in a socket. He rinses out his mouth. He relieves himself and washes the parts of him that have been sweating. And then he takes a deep breath and struggles out of his undershirt.

Anthony is leaning against the opposite wall when Aziraphale emerges, still mostly clothed, eyes wide. He takes a very long, very purposeful look at everything Aziraphale has to offer.

And then Anthony is scrambling out of his clothes, too.

It makes Aziraphale laugh. “Where’s the fire?” he asks.

It’s three whole seconds before Anthony, in bright red boxers and lovely, freckled and deliciously hairy skin, replies.

“Fuck, Angel,” he says. He’s panting, hands shaking. Out of sorts as if Aziraphale has dealt him a blow to the stomach. He stands in the hallway as if unsure of what to do next. “Here I thought I couldn’t want you more.”

Aziraphale laughs nervously but knows he can’t give up just yet. He steps across the hall and takes Anthony’s fingers in his own.

“I want you, too.”

It’s a long, long walk to the edge of Anthony’s bed, with its shiny black sheets and a headboard so monstrous Aziraphale wonders how they got it in the bloody house. But he makes it. And he manages not to keel over sideways when Anthony indicates he should sit on the bed. And Anthony drops to his knees and pushes Aziraphale’s thighs apart.

Those stunning eyes under long lashes skewer him dead, that fantastic mouth forms a crooked smile. And Aziraphale already guesses what he’s going to ask.

“Please,” he begs, not even needing to hear the question.

Perfect teeth appear between wet lips, and Anthony wastes no time snagging Aziraphale’s elastic band. He pulls and tucks it under Aziraphale’s balls, then sits back and groans.

Aziraphale’s cock is half-hard, at least. It flops over his thigh, giving a valiant twitch of interest. Anthony watches for a long, long, long long moment. As if it’s the most amazing thing he’s seen. As if Aziraphale is his dream come true.

And isn’t that divine?

The man’s tongue runs along the inside of his upper lip, and then Anthony suddenly takes hold of Aziraphale’s cock, pulling it away from his body.  He grips with cautious, gentle fingers. Lightly teasing at the tip, then firmer pressure just below the ridge. But it’s his eyes that are causing the most amount of damage. He looks so honestly wrecked.

Aziraphale has been sucked before. It’s his preferred method, if he’s honest with himself. Most of his fantasies over the past week have been of Anthony taking him inside that perfect, clever mouth. 

Just. Like. This.

Not that he was prepared in the least, but Aziraphale does not expect to feel Anthony’s growling vibrations the second he kisses the soft, fleshy end. Aziraphale doesn’t expect the man to rub his closed lips back and forth, back and forth, a gesture of utmost intimacy. It feels amazingly good. Better than he remembers ever feeling in the past. And he thinks for half a second that he will have no trouble coming under Anthony’s care.

It doesn’t happen right away, nor does it begin to reach any kind of peak for some time. Anthony seems satisfied to tease Aziraphale within an inch of his life. Pulling away the second he makes any sort of impassioned noise at all.

Aziraphale’s heart still hammers in his chest, and he's fairly sweaty in lots of undesirable places. But Anthony’s looking at him, nose flaring as he breathes deep of their combined body scents, like Aziraphale is a precious and rare commodity. He can’t quite believe they are where they are.

“Doesn’t matter, does it?” Aziraphale poses, throwing caution to the wind and speaking freely, without a filter. “We can do this however much we want now.”

And, oh. Isn’t that presuming all sorts of things?

Anthony’s face falls, and he looks suddenly nervous.

“Oh, I dunno about that, Angel. I probably got one good one in me. Not as virile as I was in my youth, you know.”

And he winks, the bastard.

This total misread of Aziraphale’s meaning makes it worse.

“I didn’t mean tonight,” Aziraphale says, trying to fix what he’s most likely broken by opening his big, fat mouth. “I meant . . .”

A lump lodges in his throat. Anthony’s brows quiver up and down.

“I meant, only if you want —“

“You think this is a one-and-done thing, don’t you?” Anthony interrupts. He’s rolled into Aziraphale, knee pinning his lower leg beneath it.

Aziraphale absolutely does not think this. At least, not in his own case.  “That’s not what I meant.”

“And I meant that I should have snatched you up sooner,” Anthony continues. “Called to say hi, check that you were doing OK. I meant that I could have been your lover all this time since the divorce.”

The lump in Aziraphale’s throat becomes a sob, an inhale of air that brings the height of his emotions crashing down.

“I would have liked that very much,” he manages, eyes burning. The bittersweet sadness of wasted time is heartbreaking.

Without warning, Anthony gathers Aziraphale against his chest, hugging and hugging and hugging him. “I know it’s probably not the right time to say this, under the influence of your brand of seduction. But I fell for you the first day you visited my cubicle.”

“And I’ve already told you how I feel,” Aziraphale whispers, hardly able to keep his heart from bounding out of his chest. He’d said those three words to Anthony before either of them were divorced. “It hasn’t changed.”

Thick eyebrows lift in amusement, and Anthony smiles broadly. “I would hope your feelings have increased, at least a little bit. That was an impressive display of orgasmic euphoria just now.”

He’s teasing, and he’s so very close, and it’s everything Aziraphale has wanted now for –

“Hang on,” Aziraphale says, frowning. “How long have you been divorced?”

Hello and welcome to The Neopian Biology Project!

This blog is an offshoot of a series of posts started on my main account. It is run by me, @asterixcalibur, in association with Happy Lab Accidents on @cabletwo. I'm an artist and funny person by trade, but a biologist by tragic BDGilbertian retribution.

The goal of this project is to identify all of Neopia's unique species, categorize them by kingdom and region of origin, and find an ideal specimen for each that can be put into a natural history museum (my gallery on Neopets). As of writing, the project has identified over 2000 unique species of Neopian wildlife.

Our main methodology is scouring item descriptions for helpful information. This process also involves researching and standardizing the taxonomical, ecoregional, and evolutionary timeline terminology of Neopia.

Longer term goals are to obtain the ideal specimen of every identified species for the museum, and renovate the museum into a simulated museum experience through careful application of visual assets and CSS/HTML. Maybe one day we can shoot for the Gallery Spotlight?

If you'd like to donate or loan a specimen to the museum, contact me so we can discuss attribution and collateral!

The gallery's JellyNeo wishlist is here. It will be continually updated as specimens are identified, so consider it a work in progress. As of writing I also haven't checked anything off even if it's been obtained, so double check the museum before offering donations!

2. Donate Neopoints

You can also "donate" by buying a Plushie Fungus from my shop! These are intentionally overpriced so that the change can be considered a charitable donation.

3. Interact here!

A lot of the posts that end up here are going to be asking for people's thoughts on origin, kingdom, uniqueness, and so on, through polls and direct questions.

You can also submit items, images, links, art, specimens, fossils, documentation, scientific papers, primary sources, etc. and so on, for consideration by the Project!

You don't need to know anything about Neopets to put in your two NP (or cents USD). In fact, sometimes it's better to get a perspective grounded in normal Earth biology, because, speaking as a biologist here in Neopia, I can very well say oh ym god please help ohhhh my god you don't even know

Conclusion

You don't need to be into Neopets to enjoy or contribute to this blog; I'll try my best to write posts so that they can be enjoyed by anyone aware of but not necessarily into Neopets. In my experience, explaining Neopets to someone entirely unfamiliar with it is always fun. This shit runs deep, dark, and as spaghetti as its code. Best part of Neopets, to me, is that the site rewards you for exploration, and some of the most consequential but by far weirdest lore can only be found by happening upon a page six links deep into a chain of site features that have gone untouched since 2009, as part of a philosophy of interaction that runs the entire site and is entirely against modern website design principles.

1)Oh, I just answered something about this here, but the short version is: I've wanted to do a mix of animation and comics for a long time (a zelda comic was my first inspiration for this) When I started this au it was gonna be an animatic so when I changed that to comic form, I still had a few things that I really wanted to have animated

2 )I'm not gonna @ them to not bother them, but I think I'm gonna end up having the sep council on the bg at some point lmao, this ask is from october and the reason I have been holding it back from answering is cause I kind of already did with the wall of champions on the last update!

3) for spoilers reasons I wont get too deep into this one, but while there IS a defining moment of him taking a choice, is not that what matters, what matters the most is the journey, after all, is the time he has spend with his brothers up to that point is what makes him flip sides

4)I do have a few episodes planned like that! right now I'm following the episodes that already exist cause is fun to see them change with the au, but I also have some that are things I made up! One I'm excited about is with Raph and One having some solo time on the Hidden City

One and Cass end up having a weird little friendship, based on mutual respect. After teaming up with the Foot Clan for canon plot reasons, One fights all the foot recruits as a training/demostration kid of thing and the only one who can stand their ground against him is her, and of course he finds her fun to fight, cause he can actually have a fight with her. After that they go on missions together, cause they force One to be with a team and he doesn't do teams but agrees if she goes, because she is actually a good fighter and competent enough to carry out the mission

Also, I have the headcanon that they can't use their real names on the Foot Clan, that's why they call her Recruit. you just give out your name if you actually trust the other person, but given the fact that everyone serious on the foot clan is a shady ninja and the other part of the foot are random people, she had never actually given her name to anyone. After a few missions together, Cass decides she can actually trust One with her name

They do end up being friends, tho One would never call it that, at least not pre-redemption

7) One doesn't really think much of it, he knows Draxum likes to cook, he has cooked for him his whole life, so he ending up with a cooking job on the surface is not so weird, and he knows Draxum has to lay low so it makes sence for him to be on such a crappy place. Plus One's gonna have another things in mind to worry about, he wouldn't have brains to judge that.

8) Oh I have so many things planned for their journey post redemption, but those are spoilers, they will eventually end up in a better place

Mikey teaches One to cook, he learn the hard way that you have to give One very specific instructions on what to do or he'll fuck up

One likes spending time on Donnie's lab, just lounging while Donnie works (is familiar to him), Donnie has a beanbag where he goes to nap sometimes while pulling consecutive allnighters, One ends up claiming that spot for himself

Raph helps One work through his anger issues, having experience working on his own, he's also the one One opens up the most

Splinter overhears One saying he used to wear a robe when being at his home and gets him a few. One ends up getting suck into watching telenovelas with Splinter

One likes putting on face masks with April, they end up having full "spa days" at April's at least once a month

in regard to ocs, I wanted to ask... do you have any other twst ocs? I think I read some old posts about some RSA ocs, but I wanted to ask specifically if there's another "big" one in terms of story/being as fleshed out as Miss Raven 🧐 or if you ever plan to make another Big Oc™️ in terms of lore like u did for her

also... I wanted to ask... now that you finished her main story, is there any other long form (?) stories you want to explore with her? I know you're hosting the future!au event rn, and you've written more side stories (?) about her in similar events... but I mean as in- again, a longer sort of story. I get anxious about posting my art because its usually hand drawn, non-committal sketches 💦 I personally really like reading about other people's creative processes so I tend to scribble notes all over my drawings, and then they get all messy and cluttered... I'm glad you like them regardless though.

I like drawing Onee-san!Yuu’s art eyes and hair… She is very dainty and cute! Her personality is fun to toy with too, since how she acts and how she’s truly feeling are so starkly different. I’ve thought about her so many times, it’s almost like she’s psychically reaching out to me in an attempt to have me formally implement her 😂 Again though, not sure if I’ll ever settle on a Yuu because the concept of a Yuu does not really interest me.

Aaaah, my RSA OCs were back from like 2020-2021. I never did manage to flesh them out and I think I’ve lost the fire to. I have several NRC OCs that I haven’t shared because they aren’t that fleshed out either. Of those, I think my favorite is my twisted!Iago (who is in part also inspired by my own pet)… He’s just a punk ass (first year Scarabia) kid and Jamil’s self-proclaimed minion (Jamil has no idea who he is).

Ironically, I think the most detailed NRC OCs I have at the moment are the three based on mob students:

Even then, I don’t think they’re super deep… Pome A can be summarized as "ex-delinquent who now has the goal of becoming 'a gentleman'" (similar to Deuce, who wants to be an honors student). Scarab B is basically a Jamil fan boy (though he's less angry/pushy about it than Sebek is; he has more eager puppy energy). The most detailed one of the bunch is Octa A, who is very anxious (Idia-sh) due to being sorted into Octavinelle, where his dorm members are constant sources of stress. Outside of that, he's a very... homely "boy next door" type. I picture him coming from a tightly knit island town and helping out his family at a community center where they help people find jobs that best suit them. (If you couldn't tell, a lot of Octa A's backstory is inspired by the Lilo and Stitch animated series.) The mob student OCs were conceived because I thought it would be funny to sometimes write from the perspective of unrelated onlookers watching all of the crazy stuff that happens on NRC campus and just going, "What, AGAIN????" They feel more like unserious gag characters, if anything.

I have actually considered writing a sequel to the Tale of the Cursed Raven for the longest time! If you've read the original tale, Vil, Azul, and Idia play prominent roles throughout it. The second saga would theoretically give the other dorm leaders (Malleus, Leona, Kalim, and Riddle) importance. Note that 3 out of 4 of the dorm leaders in the latter group are nobles or have noble relatives. That's because the (potential) sequel would involve themes of social status and who gets to shape the future. A-And hey, maybe it could focus on Raven's relationship with L*ona instead of J word this time-- The synopsis is as follows: Having finally broken her curse, Raven Crowley is now free to live as she wishes in a happily ever after of her own making... or is she? One day, a strange invitation arrives from an unknown sender, beckoning her to Briar Valley. Amid whispers of Malleus Draconia's ascension to the throne and a grand ball to decide the dragon's bride-to-be, the timing is certainly strange. "This is far too suspicious," she thinks. "I simply won't go." Then a sparkling carriage pulls up to the gates of Night Raven College, claiming to be looking for a princess in black feathers. Accompanying that carriage are two men cloaked in white and a woman that shines like starlight.

"Who are you?" Raven asks, feeling as though they've met before in some distant past. "Why, I'm your Fairy Godmother. I'm here to make all of your dreams come true."

Perhaps this meeting was always meant to be.

(I WANT TO BE CLEAR: despite how the synopsis sounds, it is NOT meant to be Raven x Malleus. I would appreciate it if readers refrained from discussing this topic, please and thank you.)

As you can probably tell by that 💦 the story sounds very ambitious... and unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable writing it because we're still missing so much from the canon main story. I'd like the OB Malleus and Grim arcs to complete so I understand the full scope of the story and how the loose ends are tied up (particularly Malleus's reaction post-OB and how, if at all, he embraces change). More lore on dragon fae would be helpful as well. I'd also ideally like a Briar Valley hometown event so I can see what the culture, traditions, people, politics, etc. are like before I attempt to depict it in my writing.

In this sequel, there would be many OCs introduced--at least 4 of them! I've been cooking a lot behind the scenes ^^ One of these OCs you've actually met in the original tale; it would be the Enchantress (Estella) that originally cursed the Storyteller. 2 of the other OCs are what I would describe as Estella's helpers, who are meant to be her equivalent to Silver and Sebek. One is inspired by the concept of the “messenger dove + dove with the olive branch” and the other is inspired by Swan Lake. The 4th and final OC is basically all but confirmed would be a foil character to Malleus, an ambitious nobleman twisted from Nerissa (the villain from Enchanted).

Here’s some doodles I have of the 4 OCs I mentioned! The first two are “the dove” and “the swan”, respectively. The bottom two are concepts for twisted!Nerissa and Estella.

This sequel would expand more on Estella's motives and background (something I mentioned in my afterthoughts), as well as tie in history and political intrigue as Raven’s forced to navigate those circles. It would most likely be set a year or so in the future, and the events that take place would inform Raven’s internship decision in her fourth year. (She would be a scribe in Briar Valley!) I’d like part II to feel like a story event that supplements or follows up on the development in part I/the main story.

xbjsbsjsjsb Anyway 🤡 That’s all I feel okay with revealing for now. I want to be clear and reiterate that this is all just a theoretical sequel and I’m not sure if I’ll actually get around to writing it. It’s definitely been fun to conceptualize though ^^

wwx is sooo smart! in a modern setting, what subject do you think he would teach? what about in college?

seriously, i can wax poetic about wwx’s intelligence, ingenuity and smartness any day!! and ooooh, your question puts me in a bind because i cannot just name one subject. i think wei wuxian is good at too many things and the younger generations deserve to have his mentorship for an array of subjects. but i’m gonna try my best to just discuss one for this post!

see, i don’t want to mention fine arts because i think wwx would be a hobbyist about it and prefer to be one of those guys hopping around museums and galleries and curating a small but insightful review blog to engage with that side of the arts. an aspect of him that his students would probably find a bit later once they go stalking their professor’s social media profiles (which wwx would be VERY lowkey about) and find that, oh, the cool professor is so much cooler still.

also, because this got me thinking way too much, before we get to the subject, imagining wwx as a full time faculty member–i’ll go out on this fanfic fuelled limb and say he would totally be the teacher coordinator for a university play and/or the debate society! the latter especially, because if the second siege showed us nothing else, it made clear that wwx knows how to frame his arguments logically w/o getting too personal/emotional (not that some debates don’t need an emotional input!) and knows how to keep the audience hooked to his words. the same goes for the deft way in which he handled his defence at the nightless city. so, yeah.

okay, so the subject i think wwx would teach has to be....

physics!!!!!

like this is the one that pops in my mind first and foremost and it fits wwx so well and not just in the realm of engineering. not that wwx’s inventing streak won’t be profoundly useful there but when it comes teaching the subject, when i say “physics” i mean the pure science. that would be wei wuxian’s jam!! he would come up with elaborate setups to simply but elegantly explain and exhibit a complex physics law or phenomenon. he would assign practical-oriented projects to his students and allow for fun which is sorely lacking in intensive pure science classes! he would make time to go over some relevant historic trivia about some theory a guy in the 18th century came up with and he would TOTALLY gossip about the scientists of the past and the scandals so many of them were engaged in. and the most important part!! he would conceptualise different and unique experiments for his class to practice for that part of their grade! alot of the time we forget how important the practical ingenuity of physics professors need to be when it’s not applied physics because the emphasis on the theoretical classes overshadows it. but wei wuxian would plan the practical course himself, even discuss the experimental configurations with his students, and design a whole booklet with them! and ykw?? he’d teach them coding too! which is one aspect of our technological era that i think wwx would excel at because there is so much craftiness required for coding and since coding is so essential for simulations and analysis in physics, wwx could teach them...some python, lol. 😭😭 also, i want to add, wei wuxian would 100% be that college professor with a league of papers published and held in high regard so that for each course he teaches, his own work could be a relevant reference which his students would find SO cool and maybe even funny.

okay, i’m done feeding you my physics professor!wwx agenda but i also think him teaching an ethics class would be fun. and also P.E. no but imagine a sociology course with wei wuxian? or a music major? the possibilities are literally endless but you probably won’t catch wwx anywhere near a culinary school.
