In the begging, everything was a little bit awkward. Sweet, but awkward. Of course, that is to be expected when someone first starts dating, and three people at that! But alas, you all worked through all of the nervousness and became even closer than before!

Sometimes, being in a relationship with three people can be a bit chaotic, but luckily, you’re all masters of talking things out. Trust is one of the most important things in a relationship you know!

Luz and Amity has sort of a “sun and moon” thing going on, with you being their eclipse to balance it all out. Perfect relationship in every way!

When it comes to comfort, these girls are the best! First of all, they are both such good listeners and they give the best advice when you need it. Although, sometimes people don’t really want advice or logic when their feeling blue, and in that case, you’re girlfriends are ready with as much cuddles and words of affirmation as you need! Supportive gfs <3

Speaking of cuddles, Luz and Amity both give such good hugs, their heavenly fr. Even though Amity can sometimes be a bit awkward about it (her body just goes stiff as a board), it’s always so wholesome and sweet. Usually, Luz is the big spoon with either you or Amity in the middle, or you guys are all just huddled up in one big messy pile. Eda and King always finds it so adorable whenever you guys fall asleep together on the couch, and you can trust that they take a bunch of pictures too.

Amity often gets really flustered around you and Luz, which usually results in a lot of teasing. Her tomato face can just be too cute sometimes, and trust me, you get to se it A LOT!

Luz however doesn’t get flustered as much as Amity, but it’s still easy to get a stunned expression and red tinted cheeks out of her. You just gotta know what to say.

Now, when it comes to the rest of the gang, they all support you guys so much! They think it’s so cool that you guys have a relationship, and even though they tease you about it from time to time (especially Eda, while Hunter mostly gets annoyed from all your lovey dovey stuff), they truly think that what you guys have is the sweetest thing ever. Oh and Hooty is your biggest fangirl, I’m not even joking.

Luz and Amity can be protective AF! Don’t get me wrong, they don’t really go around and get jealous of everything and stuff, but if anyone, witch or human, says anything to upset their girl, they’re really gonna get it.

Kisses with these two are usually fast and sweet.

Luz normally just goes in for a quick peck before turning away with pink tinted cheeks and a small smile, acting like nothing happened.

Amity on the other hand looks at you a bit before slowly leaning in. Afterward, she quickly retrieves, face completely burning up and her eyes as wide as plates. (Sort of like when she kissed Luz’s cheek in that one episode)

These girls are absolute suckers for hugs n’ kisses, and especially when they’re from you~

You guys are the most dorky couple EVER! Your all so silly, it’s adorable honestly.

Luz definitely loves picking her two girls up. She might say she has weak nerd arms, but we’ve all seen that that’s not true. There has been moments when she just comes up behind you, and with a little “aaand scoop!” she simply swipes you off of the ground while giggling.

I feel like you all give off kinda like a summerly girl in red vibe.

You and your girlfriends DEFINITELY have sleepovers and Azura movie nights! (I also said this in my Amity fic, haha)

Praise is one of the main factors of your relationship. These girl got TRAUMA and since you probably also got some as well (taken in perspective that the whole cast of this show have and does go through a lot), praise and words of affirmation/encouragement is super important to them.

When you got sent to the human realm, it was a hard time for everyone, but with the love and support from each other, you all managed to make the best of it and have a wonderful time together.

Camilla absolutely loves you and Amity so much, she is such a sweetheart!!

After some quality time spent in the human realm, you and the others, along with Camilla, finally managed to return to the Boiling Isles. And as we all know, even more challenges were lying ahead.

When things seemed dark, you, Luz and Amity always stuck together, and supported each other the whole way, never ever letting you or each other feel like they were alone in this.

In the end, you all helped each other so much with developing as a person! With all of the love and encouragement, everything turned out just fine, and these girls couldn’t be happier! Ever since this whole crazy adventure started, you’ve all gotten so much closer together, and really formed a special bond. To be able to be in a relationship with you like this is the best things to have happened to either Luz or Amity, and they never want to let that go in the hopes to someday be able to put a ring on it.

It is that time of year once again! Happy International Fanworks Day! This year has been even busier than the last one so just another reclist (that might be late) from me this year. Hopefully next year will be different.

This year’s theme is when fandoms collide – my bread and butter, really. So, without further ado, this year’s IFD reclist:

Alex Rider (AR) × Rise of the Guardians (RotG)

Kindling Wonder by control of chaos Beautiful and incredibly uplifting. In most fics, Alex is quite jaded and hardened by the things he’s seen from being forced to grow up too quickly but this fic reminds us he can still be a child – he can still have hope and wonder, remember the good times, dream and have fun. Despite everything he’s been through, he can be the kid he should’ve been allowed to be.

Rise of the Guardians (RotG) × Avengers

Clashing with Legends by routavaurio The two source media are blended very well despite being rather different in tone. There’s humour but also seriousness, the characters feel true to themselves and the fight scenes are easy to follow. Even with a pretty large ensemble cast, everyone got their time to shine. There’s also a sequel, Mythical Intervention, and both fics are now also on AO3!

Winter Gods by avearia This starts off funny and lighthearted, gradually layering in plot and as of the latest chapter (20/02/2019), hints of horror building up to quite the cliffhanger. The worldbuilding is intriguing, with explanation for the discrepancies between Norse mythology and the MCU’s Asgardians as well as incorporating backstory from the GoC books.

Alex Rider (AR) × Harry Potter (HP)

Harry Potter and the Teenage Spy by Rod I don’t know how to describe this other than it is quite literally, when fandoms collide. See what I did there? …Sorry. The first instalment is set during ‘Deathly Hallows’: what if Alex (and Tom and Sabina) was/were in the café the Golden Trio escaped to after the wedding? After this, well, you know how Alex is – can’t leave anything alone, has to see things through no matter what, casually popping in to fuck shit up – no, really, this series is literally just Alex inserting his sassy self into Deathly Hallows. 😅

Of Wands and Stun Darts (And All the Things in Between) by tomaetotomahtoe This series is so sweet and Harry and Alex’s relationship is incredibly tender. The parallels are drawn between them in such a way that highlights the similarities in their personalities without making them carbon copies of each other. They’re so soft with each other – they’re also mutually pining away for each other 🤭. You’ll be giggling over these adorably silly boys.

Miraculous Ladybug (ML) × Avengers

What the Cat Dragged In by Kryal Tbh, I don’t really know what to say for this one other than it’s just… good. The way the world of Miraculous is viewed through the lens of an outside perspective is simply brilliant and the worldbuilding beyond what we see in canon is very clever. Adrien trying to figure out the physics behind the miraculous is just *chef’s kiss*. These two media were skilfully integrated and the characterisation is on point. Lastly, the tags – ‘the Avengers are not immune to cute’, they certainly aren’t! 😂😂😂

Undertale (UT) × Harry Potter (HP)

Under the Veil by poplasia I didn’t even know I needed this friendship until I read it. Sirius and Sans get on like a house on fire, the mechanics behind the magic are cleverly devised, the banter is hilarious and I can’t forget the puns.

Alex Rider (AR) × Artemis Fowl (AF)

Dead Man’s Party by thealphaaxolotl Post-canon strangers to friends to lovers!Alexmis featuring ‘oh my god they were roommates’, with your standard mutual pining as well as lashings of tension and angst.

Fairy Roses by crowprincess14 A short tearjerker as everyone deserves a little tragedy as a treat. It’s not specifically tagged as Alexmis but it’s definitely inferable. There are references to a canonical (but technically temporary) character death if you don’t read that. If you need comfort after this, there is a companion fic written by alexmis with a happy ending.

Alex Rider (AR) × Avengers

MI(6 Degrees of Separation) by mobilisinmobili Imo, anything written by Mobi is great. The source media go really well together and the characterisation feels natural. As always the worldbuilding is very well done, leaving a vivid impression of the gritty underworld espionage and crime both belong to.

Miraculous Ladybug (ML) × Undertale (UT)

Miraculous Tale by awkwardnarturtle This better fits the definition of a fusion than a crossover, honestly. The ML characters are effectively transposed into the world of Undertale without just feeling like an expy and everything comes together so well. Marinette and Chat’s relationship is delightful to read while the little hints of mystery here and there evoke that nostalgic eagerness to discover the game’s secrets.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica (PMMM) × Avengers

Incursio by Mr. Omelette The worldbuilding on the PMMM side has definitely influenced my own headcanons and the characterisation is rather fitting. Also, a family can be one American supersoldier displaced through time and two magical girls displaced across space.

Assassination Classroom (AssClass) × Boku no Hero Academia (BNHA)

If you just look at them they definitely don’t but when their hair is the same (which yoongi asked to have his hair done like his when they were doing the challenges) and at certain angles I definitely see it. They don’t look like twins but they look like they could maybe be cousins.

I think it’s just that they are both short and look sort of like cats lol. I will say though under those clothes woozi is fit AF never realized until I started looking him up and Yoongi on the other hand not so much (though still looks good in my opinion).

It’s kind of like Jimin and Ha Sungwoon they don’t look alike but sometimes I can see why people say they look similar.

❣️ Ocean Likes Me - I know this show never got a lot of attention and most reviews are mediocre but guess what I disagree kfjdghfd. I loved it so much. I already talked about it but I thought the dynamic between the mains was fantastic and they were so adorable it made me sick dfkjghf. The power lies in its minimalism, everything feels natural and they’re one of the few pairings in a kbl that actually feel like a realistic couple lol. Han Gi Chan is outstanding in this and considering this is Holland’s acting debut, he did a very decent job as well. Also the cinematography? stunning. I went in with zero expectations and came out with teary heart eyes lol. 11/10 🥺 

👎🏻 That’s My Candy - This was super frustrating because I actually went into it with decent expectations. The plot setup sounded good, I liked the premise of an established couple facing difficulties etc. and I was hoping for KimCop to redeem themselves after Gen Y 2. But boy was I wrong. It was so bad. holy shit. I usually try to hold back with overly bad criticism out of respect for the people who like it but I’m sorry if you like this,,,,, what’s wrong with you djgkd. The plot made zero sense and it got continuously worse. By the end it was nothing more than random out-of-context scenes cut together with no point whatsoever. When will KimCop make better life choices. -3/10.

Hi..first i want to say i love ur blog and ur opinions.i like how u explain things... thankyou for that.

I want to talk about...first..do u really believe jikook is real or u just like to ship them bcz they look good together??

Second i want to talk about...let's guess we proved right one day tht yes they are a couple...do u think they hve any future??like a normal couple??...i mean if they both actually decide one day that they want to stay with eachother forever...than they can't hide from people 4ever right??at some point they have to tell evryone to live openly...i really want them to stay with each other always...but it's really tough in reality. What if after disband...their love changed? They really look amazingly magical together...m sorry to say this but i really can't picture them both with any other person (male or female) and its not cuz i love any one them romantically or that it's just my fantasy...it's cuz they look strong AF together and really believe they can change the perspective of people on love...that gender is not important..

But their happiness is first to me...so with whoever they end up with in future... together or not..i wish them happiness...

Well it’s a given that they look good together but that’s expected when when two men are just absolutely STUNNING! I don’t ship them because they look good together tho I do it because they literally give me butterflies when they’re together when they interact. I can say yess I do think they’re actually together, just by all the things they’ve done and all the things they’ve showed us, but that’s my opinion I won’t run around telling everyone that I know they’re together because well we don’t know for sure lol. I can relate to you when you say you don’t imagine them with anyone else because me either but maybe that’s because we’re so used to seeing them together, their bond is so magnetic, it’s like watching a firework show that’s how i describe it lol. Also yesss i do see it working out for them and i do see them being together for a long long time if not forever, i know they live in a homophobic place BUT that doesn’t mean gay couples don’t exist there, and they don’t necessarily ever have to come out to us they could be 40 living together and we would just know, they wouldn’t need to tell us, after they disband i think it would actually be easier for them to be together because then they wouldn’t have to hide at all (not that they’re good at hiding now 😂) but you know they’ll be more at peace, even if they decide to work on projects separately my thoughts are they made it work this long why wouldn’t it continue to work?

Weirdly the first Buddie vibe I got was when Eddie said he had a kid and Buck did that goofy "I LOVE kids" line. Like...who cares that you love kids, Buck? It's not like he's asking you to live with him! 😂

Buck was so impressed with Eddie after he got over his initial jealousy. I'm convinced Eddie has been his bisexual awakening. He played off that "boy crush" comment from Maddie but inside, I'd like to think that Buck was secretly wondering why he couldn't stop talking/thinking about Eddie (while also slowly acknowledging that Eddie wasn't the first time he'd felt that way about a guy). While Buck is very open about a lot of things, I think that because he has always had that voice saying he wasn't good enough, being attracted to men would freak him out a little. So, as long as he was also attracted to women, he might ignore that attraction to men or put off thinking about it or chalk it up to really strong hero worship.

Under the cut is how I would go about outing both Buck and Eddie as bisexual in the same episode

Anyway, Buck has this far assumed that Eddie could never be anything but straight so his crush on him (like all of his other crushes on guys throughout his life) can remain irrelevant until it fades. But then the topic somehow comes up early in s5 while the whole 118 is in the firehouse and Eddie just...admits to everyone that he's bisexual. He's known since high school but where (and when) he grew up, there weren't any actual gay couples to emulate. And all the high school guys he messed around with were closeted and wanted to stay that way. It was easier then (and after taking custody of Chris) to date women.

Buck is shocked af because...well, he doesn't know why. It just never would have occurred to him that Eddie was anything but straight. However, because Eddie is so open about it, during that same discussion with the 118, Buck maybe asks some things that suggest he's questioning. Eddie is surprised, and Hen gives Buck some answers while Eddie is still stunned. Before Eddie can recover and say something, they're called out to a fire/emergency.

Then, towards the end of the episode, Eddie and Buck are together by the lockers (lmao, and there's your Glee reference in this meta) and they have a...conversation that is charged with longing from each side but where nothing concrete is said in regards to possible crushes. Eddie gives the advice he was too shocked to give earlier. Buck reacts in his usual straightforward fashion. But they're more hesitant around each other than they typically are and you can see them kind of feeling each other out. It ends with Buck saying that even though he doesn't plan on dating any dudes right away because of Taylor, it's nice to know this thing about himself. And Eddie says "Know? I thought you were just questioning" And Buck just kind of smiles and shrugs, then leaves. He has a date with Taylor.

And it's finally at that date with Taylor that he admits that he thinks he might be bi - is that a problem? Taylor says no and means it genuinely - as long as this doesn't mean he's going to start sleeping with guys while he's with her (it's a joke but not really because the widening crack in their relationship is that they don't trust each other and, at best, trust the other one to be untrustworthy - Buck because Taylor is loyal to her ambitions and Taylor because Buck is loyal to the 118). They have a laugh at the idea of Buck cheating, and then once they've recovered, you can see Buck is lighter and happier because of his admission. But then Taylor asks him what brought this revelation about and Buck looks thoughtful. We don't get an answer but instead cut to the next scene which is Eddie getting Christopher ready for bed. I'd include a brief scene where Eddie either came out to Christopher or where you could infer from the bedtime story he was going to tell him that he was about to come out.

And that's it. In a following episode, I'd have Eddie interact with Michael and his husband, maybe take Christopher for a play date with Harry. At that point, I might have Eddie confide in Michael about Buck (or at least hint that there's someone he's interested in). But since so much of the series has been devoted to Buck growing up, I like the idea of him going from questioning to bi over the course of an episode. I like Eddie playing a role in it. And I like Eddie having accepted his sexuality but not being super open about it for reasons that have more to do with his current situation than with shame or guilt (shows never approach homophobia in minority communities with any nuance and I doubt 911 would be an exception, so I would almost rather they not talk about any homophobia Eddie has faced in that context).
