“it’s a group against one. they’d corner you and one of them will try to hurt you. the rest would follow suit.”

“well, what you said doesn’t matter anymore now that they’re all brutally slaughtered by you. they didn’t get the chance to do that.”

xiao would lose it if someone or something laid one tiny little scratch on you. if it’s a serious injury bro will go ballistic.

if it’s a strong enemy, he’ll end their bloodline. if it’s a mere pigeon, get ready to have fowl for dinner.

him coming to you even though you didn’t call out his name was just pure coincidence.

he heard the sound of hilichurls so he followed the noises and there you were, getting surrounded by the hilichurls. his adrenaline kicked in.

he teleported to you and killed every single one of them swiftly.

he’s just worried about you, a little too worried for his own good. he can’t stand losing someone else, especially his partner.

so expect him to watch you from afar more often, to make sure you’re okay. he doesn’t have the intention of being creepy, he’s just your protector in the shadows.

he may not have experience in relationships, but he’s more than willing to learn by just being with you

“my dove, you ought to be more mindful of your surroundings.”

“i know, i know, i was spacing out and i didn’t think i’d walk into someone. i was that clumsy.”

“it was just an accident, and i’m sure the recipient understands. it’s a common accident, so you don’t need to think about it often as it’ll be forgotten afterwards. now then, i believe it’s time you need some rest. allow me to carry you to our room.”

even though he acts so chill on the outside, deep down he’s actually more worried about you.

that someone you bumped into was actually a fatui agent.

you and kazuha were casually strolling the streets of liyue until you started spacing out and bumped into the fatui agent. effectively making you fall on your ass and a little dizzy from the impact.

the agent wasn’t too happy about it, so they tried to attack you. kazuha didn’t let that happen though, as he predicted that attack years ago and blocked them with his sword.

you heard weapons clashing for a few seconds until there was pure silence. you rubbed your eyes and looked up at a solemn-looking kazuha with his hand reaching out to you. (when you asked what happened he passed it off as nothing, he didn’t want to concern you)

kazuha kept note to always accompany you in your travels no matter where you choose to go.

“you know you shouldn’t put your nose into things that are unfamiliar to you. especially items that may harm you. it astounds me how you’re this….”

“stupid? yeah”

“what? no, you’re not stupid.”

“then what?”

“you were unaware of the contents on the table and you’ve let your curiosity got the best of you. next time, let me know before you touch anything here, okay?”

tighnari would never and i mean never call you anything that would hurt you. sure, he can playfully tease you and be sassy with you, but not go as far to insult you. especially your knowledge.

he’s aware you’re smart in your own way, so he would never dream of insulting that. if someone were to insult you though, oh, he isn’t holding back.

about the item that you had the misfortune of peeking into, it was a sort of poison.

his ears flicker as he heard you coughing, and he rushes to you. dropping whatever he was doing at the moment to see you. it was a good thing he had an antidote on him for that poison, so he used it on you.

after you got back to your senses, he softly scolded you about ‘touching things that aren’t yours blah blah blah’

he didn’t leave your side that day and left his duties for collei to handle. nothing wrong with spending the rest of the day with your love, right?

“sorry you had to go out of your way to save me again…for the fifth time this week. it must be getting annoying.”

“no, it’s never annoying to protect someone you cherish. it doesn’t matter if the issue at hand was unimportant or severe. your safety is my priority. on the plus side, these eremites were the ones i was originally going after. so thanks to you, i can rest easy. now that you’re safe and the eremites had been dealt with.”

“hm, actually i was wondering, out of those five attempts, how do you always manage to find me in a pinch? it’s almost as if you always know whether or not i’m in trouble or something.”

every time he’a gotten word you’re taking a trip to the desert for errands or anything along those lines, he will watch you like a hawk

he just wants to be absolutely sure you’re safe, because you’re on the top of his list of priorities.

if by chance he sees you in trouble, he’ll quite literally pounce from the shadows to pursue justice on the perpetrators.

while you’re sleeping, xiao was still up. he was thinking about a lot of things, but hearing your snores snapped him out of his thoughts.

he looked over his shoulder and saw you sleeping peacefully. the sight made him muster up the tiniest smile known to man.

he was admiring your resting state… for a little too long.

when he realized what he’s doing he instantly looked away and his cheeks tinted pink. he covered half of his face with the shared blanket as he was trying his best to calm down.

(he doesn’t, his heart is conflicted)

he started to close his eyes in an attempt to escape to the realm of dreams as a way to have him relax.

well, that was cut short real quick. because you decided to shuffle a bit and move your hand to touch xiao’s arm.

if there’s a deeper red color then that’s the color of xiao’s cheeks.

surprisingly, despite his disliking to physical contact, he stayed still.

he didn’t want to wake you or anything, so he lets you do as you wish despite the intense blush on his face.

for your sake and comfort, he (slowly) moved his hand to grab your hand and gently squeezed it.

this made you smile in your sleep and xiao lets out a huff of relief as his eyes were still closed.

hearing you snore, he just gave you a soft kick to the leg. but that just made you snore a little louder. 

he sighed in annoyance as he moved to face you. he propped his elbow on his pillow and rested his head against his hand. he shook his head lightly. 

‘what am i going to do with you?’ he whispered.

but he has to admit, at first, he thought it was a waste of time to be acquainted with someone who would most likely leave him in the end much like the others.

but you didn’t. (because you aren’t like other people) you’re sleeping on the same bed as him.

and you’d need a reasonable amount of trust for something like this to happen.

when that thought came to mind, it did make him feel a little warm inside.

his eyes moved away from your sleeping figure to his free hand. he was observing it for a bit before he closed it.

he chuckled softly before choosing to lay down on his pillow and shuffled a bit to get comfortable. but he’s still facing you. he didn’t turn his back on you, because you didn’t turn your back on him. (this sounded cheesy i’m sorry)

with a low and quiet voice, he whispered:

unlike the other two, she’s actually sleeping with you.

she’s smiling in her sleep, because she finally gets to rest. (she deserves it)

until… you hugged her in your sleep.

ganyu’s eyes shot open as she turned her head to see you having a rather firm grip around her body.

her cheeks gradually grew red as she shifted a little to have you feel more comfortable in holding her. she didn’t seem to mind the touch somehow.

but this action made you snuggle closer to ganyu, your face coming into contact with ganyu’s soft and fluffy blue hair.

a squeak left ganyu’s mouth but she quickly covered her mouth with her free hand. she sighed in her hand before choosing to shut her eyes.

she thought it may be best for you to be as comfortable as you can whilst the both of you are sleeping on the same bed.

if you were to touch her horns, not only would she be more flustered than she is now, she’ll most likely cease to exist.

but you should consider yourself lucky for being well acquainted with her, because she will let you touch her horns. doesn’t matter if you’re sleeping or not.

she’s that comfortable with you. despite her bashfulness.

yoimiya

yoimiya is the only one where you and her are up just chilling on the same bed.

playing with plushies, building pillow forts, watching movies together, stuff like that.

she’s your go-to person when it comes to who you’re staying up with.

but when you start to become a little drowsy, she’ll open her arms and let you rest in her embrace. and vice versa.

she’s also the only one who’s confident with physical contact on this list. giving or receiving. (preferably giving)

and she will also sing lullabies to you as you rest in her arms. maybe rocking you back and forth as well.

a smile even crept on her face as she cooed at your sleeping face.

but even so, it reels him in wanting more. so he begs you to borrow your phone to listen to your playlists, especially new ones you just made.

when you left your phone somewhere unattended and venti came across it, he looked both sides before snagging your phone off of its place to listen to your playlists in secret. ehe.

aether & lumine being your errand buddies.

if you’re planning to go out to run an errand like buying groceries or something, these two are the first ones to volunteer to help. i know they do everything in teyvat; doing shit for everyone and all that but this is different. when they got isekai’d, they’re reunited! (i’m going to ignore the abyss sibling bullshit okay let me write in peace i want these two to be happy)

so they’re returning the favor by assisting you in anything! even in your house, they still help you with chores and whatnot! which made you worry for them, so you’ve decided to arrange a time where you all could sit and chat. they talked about their journeys to other worlds, and you could listen to them talk for hours.

introducing heizou to true crime documentaries.

ohhhhh boy you know he will binge the SHIT out of them. now that he doesn’t have to deal with missing pets, he has something interesting to indulge himself in.

he ends up figuring out who’s the culprit before the show could even reveal who. which shocks you, if you’re the type to take a long time trying to connect the dots.

if you show him some unsolved cases, you know damn well he’ll look/watch into it. you have a smart detective on your hands, and if he ends up solving them as well, you must be writhing in pride that you and heizou are the only ones who know the truth.

kazuha asking you to go out on a stroll from time to time.

one time when he accompanies you and your errand buddies because he wants to see what your world looks like in addition to lending another hand, he wants to see that again. the wind, the sky, the view, all of that. it’s all unique to him.

so, expect him to ask you if you’d like to go out on a little stroll for a while. it’s an excuse for him to feel what your world would be like, to digest its features and compliment it all in a poetic sense.

most likely points out the colors of the leaves you guys walk by. he’s just blabbering about nature while you’re out here digesting his words and your mind turns into an actual tree from listening.

yes, this seems bland, but listen. xiao is oblivious to how teyvat works in terms of tradition/humans, and now that he’s isekai’d to your world, you have to teach this poor innocent individual.

he needs information in order to adapt to this new world he’s not familiar with, knowing there’s not really a way out.

xiao is listening intently and nodding to everything you say, asking questions at the same time.

fun fact: i've never finished ayato's story quest so i was writing this blind (with the help of some voicelines/demos/teasers, this goes along with the rest of the men on this list)

originally, you two were going on a nightly stroll since he was free but were stopped by a group of creeps. however, ayato handled the matter in his way.

in his head, those creeps are a waste of time and mere bugs because, well, they are. and pathetic, because they immediately recognize him for his high status and they all shrank in his presence. which made things easier for ayato. he made a small threat, and then they zoomed.

afterwards, he wanted to bring you home for dinner instead. continuing to stay out after that ordeal was not an option in his book.

which was his first and last mistake.

it led him down into a deeper rabbit hole of more questions: ‘why would this happen?’ ‘why them?’ ‘why now?’ ‘what should i do?’

more questions would grow as more answers would wilt.

he knew relationships were troublesome and they take a lot of time and energy out of him to even make one, but this one in particular he had with you was much different.

so for you to just leave him to go back to celestia completely shuts him down.

he doesn’t know how to feel about the news his assistant has told him judging from how he was standing there like a stone, cold statue. but the only hint of emotion you’re able to see from him is his eyes.

his eyes speak more than words ever could.

they may be cold on the outside, but they speak of anguish, disbelief, denial, sadness, the list could go on. and yet this is the first time he felt such emotions rush inside him all at once.

it truly hurted him.

hurted him to the point he had to excuse himself from sucrose to give him time to think about what happened.

it will take way too long for him to get over such a revelation, as it will most likely stick into the back of his mind for as long as he exists.

in all honesty, the arataki gang pushed her under the mistletoe with you while you were just eating a nice christmas snack and. you weren’t aware of being under it too. head empty just food type beat.

shinobu immediately knew what was going on after she saw the mistletoe. as she was gonna turn around and fist fight the gang, they’ve ran away and hid behind something. their heads were slightly peeking out of them and itto’s head stood out the most

shinobu groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose, and then heard distant cheering from the back, clearly from her gang.

when you swallowed your last bite, you didn’t notice shinobu until now

“oh, hey shinobu! i just finished my snack. what are you doing here?”

she opened her eyes and released her hand off of her nose and pointed above. you followed what she was pointing at and saw the obvious-looking mistletoe hanging above you both before reverting your attention back to her.

“before you say anything, my gang brought us into this mess. so for that, i apologize on their behalf.”

“oh no worries, they always get into some sort of trouble, so i don’t blame you.”

shinobu looked from the corner of her eye and saw her gang whispering the words: ‘go for it!’ ‘do it!’ ‘kiss them!!’

she sighed and then stood up straight, looking directly into your eyes. “well, now that we’re here, i think we should entertain them for a bit. if you’re okay with it of course.”

you turned your head into the direction she was previously looking at and saw her gang. they kept nodding vigorously and made gestures for you to turn back around.

you laughed a bit at them, and you turned back to shinobu. she nodded, you nodded, and then she made her move. shinobu removed her mask to shield her gang from seeing your kiss with her.

the arataki jumped from their spots to cheer and scream for their deputy leader. while a bunch of chaos was happening, that’s all but blind noise. because you’re melting in the kiss.

the way you see him so absorbed into what he’s doing is cute in your eyes. his eyes squinting as he focuses on the matter at hand, his careful handwork, his fluffy hair bouncing for every step he takes as he walks to another table to grab something..

at this point, he’s not even trying. you’re drawn to him the more you admire his features, for he is quite a handsome-

you didn’t realize you were admiring albedo in your head for too long because he walked up to you face to face, concerned that you were just standing there not saying anything to him the whole time you were there.

“are you alright? you have been staring at me for quite some time now.”

hearing his voice, (albeit a little hard to hear from you staring at him for too long,) you shook your head vigorously as a look of pure shock was plastered on your face. embarrassment ran through your veins.

“ah.. i’m sorry, albedo. i was only spacing out.”

albedo had a blank expression. he didn’t seem fazed to hear that, but he wasn’t annoyed. he just didn’t know how to properly express that specific ‘feeling.’

was all he said before turning his attention back to his experiment.

As your vision starts to regain its clearness after a few seconds, you see a shade of red and white watching over you, breathing over your figure as if you smell like that of a nice, comforting, perfume smell. From how close they were to you, their nose lightly brushed your skin. It’s Kazuha.

This caused you to let out a noise of shock and jump into a sitting position, which immediately made him back up a little from the sudden action.

His head tilted as he took in your shocked expression. Silently observing your every move. Confused as to why he’s with you, alone, you were about to say a word but you felt something pull you down.

You glanced down at what’s holding you down; metal chains. They’re holding your wrists and feet down to prevent you from moving any further.

“Ah, you’re awake, how’s your rest?” In your mind, his voice sounds comforting as if he’s genuinely concerned about you, but what’s within his tone is something much more sinister.

“Kazuha…?” The millions of questions you have in your head start to rush out of your mouth, “What are you doing here? Why am I locked up? Where are we? What’s-“

Kazuha holds his finger up to your lips and whispers out a “shh….” He softly chuckles and slowly takes his finger off of your face. “One at a time, my dove. You wouldn’t want to lose your voice from the amount of questions you have for me, do you?” Kazuha has a closed eyed smile and leaned against a wall as he awaits your response.

Your jaw went slightly agape as you couldn’t believe how calm he’s being when you’re in literal restraints. You took a few seconds to attempt to find the words to say despite how you practically feel frozen in place.

“How are you this calm? I’m literally chained down to this bed and you’re being so chill about it.”

Kazuha ‘tsked’ and shook his head as if you just asked a simple question. He picked himself off of the wall and slowly made his way towards you.

“Why, this is the only way that’ll keep you safe from the dangers that lie outside.” He leans towards your face, his eyes glow a red that makes you feel a chill rush down your spine.

From the close proximity you leaned back quickly, but that failed because Kazuha’s right hand made its way to cup your cheek.

“I do not want anything terrible to happen to you. So I’ve resorted to escorting you down in my basement, where the least amount of dangers would occur.” He rubs your cheek up and down lovingly as you grimace at his actions, feeling very uncomfortable with whatever he’s saying and acting.

You shook your head away from his hold and while doing so your eyes locked with his own. His sharp gaze striked through you, and yet you didn’t pay any mind to it. “What the hell are you talking about?” Your tone filled with annoyance with what Kazuha’s doing and you wanted this whole fiasco to stop. “What ‘dangers’ are there? I can look after myself, thank you very much.”

Your eyes started to scan around the dark room for a few seconds before staring back at Kazuha with narrowed eyes. “You’re also acting weird. A little too weird. Have you smoked anything funny today?”

The samurai closed his eyes, took a few steps back away from your gaze to run a hand through his locks where you couldn’t see his face, and laughed. But his soft laughter turned into maniacal laughter in a matter of seconds. You feel your stomach churn because of how insane Kazuha looks right now.

He lets out a whimsical sigh, taking a temporary break from his laughing fit. “Your humorous self never fails to amuse me.” His scarlet eyes flick towards you as if you’re his prey. He never moved from his current position.

“However,” Kazuha slowly walked towards you, his eye contact still in contact with yours. You trembled.

For the first time ever, you trembled. Within your years of sharing a strong bond with Kazuha, you never once felt scared by the likes of him because his presence had always made you feel safe. But right now, this isn’t the same Kaedehara Kazuha you’ve once known and looked up to.

Kazuha is standing in front of you; his silver hair slightly messy, his scarlet eyes glow a red that’s redder than the fruitiest of cherries, and his smile. It’s completely different from the usual smiles you see from him, it’s one that’s filled with insanity. Obsession.

“You mean the whole world to me Y/n. I can’t bear to see you get injured in any shape or form without me by your side to protect you.” His smile grew wider. “Now that you’re here with me, you’ll be safe. Forever. You needn’t worry about anything. I will take great care of you, my sweet, sweet Y/n. We will spend our lives together for as long as we can. With nobody of any importance to bother us.”

Your breathing hitched, and hot tears started to cascade down your face. You don’t want to spend the rest of your life with him. A madman.

“You’re..You’re insane! You know that right?! What’s so special about me that made you turn out like this!?’

Kazuha’s smile instantly turned into a frown. You didn’t like the looks of that, but you braced yourself with what ‘crazy words’ he has to say.

“I’m like this because of you Y/n. You’re very special to me! You’re something more than the winds I tend to dote on every so often. Way more valuable.” He leaned down to your level and moved his bandaged hand to cup your cheek, your tears staining the bandages but he couldn’t care any less.

You didn’t like how creepy he’s being, so you scoffed and whipped your head away from his hold. His fingers spread by your action, processing your reaction, but he chose to not to do anything that would upset you. Oh, how ironic.

“What happened to you wanting to wander, who knows where? You’ve told me you can’t stay in one spot. So why?” Your voice started to crack and more tears flowed. “Why are you like this..?”

Kazuha stood up, once again staring right into your eyes, and his eyes glowed, half-lidded. Overpowering the only source in the room that was the flickering lightbulb. “If I have to give up wandering to only be with you, I will do it. If that one spot is shared with you, I am at ease. If someone were to upset you in the slightest by chance..”

He lets out a quiet chuckle. “Then I won’t hesitate to stain my sword if it all comes down to that. Which I highly doubt, now that you’re under my care.” Kazuha traces his finger from your head to your chin. “For as long as I’m here.”

The wandering samurai is no longer the same man you grew comfortable to be allies with. He’s gone. He’s a whole different person and you knew that. You felt like you’re burning up to a crisp from the pressure and his touch, rendering you unable to say another word to him.

Now that you’re stuck with Kazuha, in restraints, you have no other choice but to waste your life away with him as he will always be watching you.

He loves you, but you most certainly don’t. And he’s aware of that. Despite you not loving him the same as he is to you, he still has you trapped down with him. Forcing you to only pay attention to him and him only.

You had the misfortune of becoming his friend, let alone winning his heart over. In the wrong way.

while the two of them weren’t looking, you and tartaglia made some snowballs. giving each other a sneering look, before you threw your snowballs at itto and his at beidou.

itto completely flabbergasted and beidou had a scary bloodlust look on her face as she wipes the snow off of her face.

‘oh, you’re on.’

‘WHA?!- OH HO HOOO YOU’RE FUNNY. YOU GUYS ARE GOING DOWN!!’

it’ll literally be the four of you guys hurling snowballs at each other, making a loud ruckus but who cares!!

tartaglia is pretty serious in fights, even if it’s a snowball fight. any fight is fun to him yk? so expect him do tricks and shit with his throws

“haha, you flatter me captain. you guys are up to par with my skills, which is impressive. and i want to see more of that.”

“uhhh is this battle talk or something??”

and then you’re just having the time of your life hurling multiple snowballs at a time towards the opposing team, laughing your ass off at the same time

venti trying to open up his gifts before it’s time but was stopped by cyno and ayaka’s a witness

imagine venti just sitting down on a chair with ayaka sitting right next to him in her own chair.

venti’s just leaning in his seat in boredom while ayaka peacefully sips her hot cocoa. until venti had the bright idea of opening their gifts early.

‘psst. hey. let’s open up our gifts before everyone else.’

ayaka, who sets her cup down and glanced towards him, ‘huh? but y/n told us to not open them yet.’

‘aw come on, it’ll be okay! look, we’ll get to be the first ones to know what we got!’

ayaka looks away for a bit before sighing and turned back to him, ‘i apologize. i cannot.’

venti pouts, and said ‘oh okay then.. your loss~’

venti jumps off of his chair to make his way towards the tree behind them as ayaka watches him. she sees him bend down to his gift, admiring it. ayaka notices a presence coming towards him. it was very hidden she couldn’t make it out to be someone. but before she tries to warn him, venti was stopped by a familiar general’s narrowed gaze.

‘what are you doing.’

‘ah, if it isn’t the general mahamatra! i wasn’t doing anything. ehe~’

‘we were specifically ordered by y/n to not open up our gifts until they say it’s okay. if you didn’t get the memo, allow me to rephrase it,’ *cue his intimidating look from his teaser* ‘in a way you’re able to understand.’

ayaka squeaked a bit by how terrifying cyno’s aura is, she made a mental note to not fuck with the mahamatra.

in conclusion, venti is done for in terms of stern lectures and ‘whatnot’ from cyno LMFAO

noelle teaching xiao and ei on how to make gingerbread houses as hu tao makes her little gingerbread haunted house in the background

ngl, noelle is more than happy and very honored to teach xiao and ei. while also shitting herself inside because she’s teaching the best of the best and she doesn’t want to mess things up

but ei would be so into it. she’ll be like ‘oh! so this piece would be here? and i can add some of these sweetish assortments to top it off?’ and noelle, who snapped out of her thoughts went: ‘ah! yes, that’s right. get the glue to your left and stick those together. you are free to apply as many sweets as you want!’ ei is probably fighting the urge to eat the gumdrops and other sweets laying around for her house tbh

xiao is just watching them at a respectable distance with his arms crossed, leaning against the wall while observing their actions. he couldn’t quite understand the concept of ‘christmas’ since he’s never celebrated it before. he didn’t want to interfere since he’s afraid of what’s to happen should he try to participate. but having to see the people he holds dear enjoying it, he’s at ease.

‘adeptus xiao, would you like to join us?’

xiao glanced at her from the sound of his name, though a bit confused as to why noelle was formal around him, so he told her: ‘just call me xiao. and no, i’m alright with only observing.’

ei turned around, with a gumdrop in her mouth, ‘you should try this festivity! it may be foreign, but i was told this is a one time thing during this time of year. so i believe it’ll be best if you’ll join us.’

xiao grimaced a bit, ‘no. didn’t you hear me the first time? i’m alright with watching you do..whatever it is that you’re doing in case one of you get injured. i must always stay vigilant, no matter the scenario.’

hu tao who paused in making her original gingerbread haunted house barged her way into the conversation and added, ‘mr. grumpy old xiao, you don’t have to always be like that! look, it’s christmas! a time where we all gather around and spend all day doing all sorts of fun activities! you just lazing about in the background, doesn’t make you fun at parties.’ she giggled a bit.

xiao, pretending he never heard of the name he was given by hu tao, groaned quietly, ‘you…’ he sighed again.

‘xiao, you don’t have to force yourself to do something you aren’t comfortable with doing, it’s okay. we can just-‘

‘i will do it.’ ‘huh?’ ‘i will do it. i will accompany you in whatever activity you call it.’

noelle and ei sighed a breath of relief as hu tao went back to what she’s doing. xiao is in for a repeat of what’s to come in the art of making a gingerbread house. no matter, as long as he’s enjoying it even if it’s far from his familiarity. none of them were aware of the tiny smile that’s growing from his lips.

albedo, kazuha, and tighnari staying up to admire the snow outside, but albedo had the bright idea that they’d all sketch out the scenery and is willing to teach them how to draw

‘oh, it’s not a problem.’ no, it’s most definitely a problem. in secret, xiao was completing whatever tasks [name] had to do.

once [name] found out they didn’t have anything to do, they were quite confused. so then they had to go up to xiao and ask if there’s anything they have to do. well, xiao took this opportunity to tell them an ‘order.’ (an order of taking care one’s well-being that is)

‘rest for the day.’ pretty straightforward, but [name] seemed to do it without arguing. because it sounded like an order to them.

xiao offered to share his almond tofu to them but as expected, [name] is stubborn and waved their hand dismissively. but xiao’s not having it.

‘you must eat. mortals need to consume nutrients in order to strengthen their energy.’

he pushed his dish towards [name] ‘and you need this more than me.’

[name] was unfazed, but they perceived his words as an order. so they took the plate and started eating. no words were said after that.

okay tumblr is being rude to me so i’m going to write one last scenario here to finish this with a bang.

[name] leaning against the balcony of wangshu inn with xiao, staring off into the horizon, and letting the wind flow through their bodies in complete silence.

it was a comfortable silence, but xiao decided to break the silence. ‘…[name]? may i speak with you for a moment?’

[name] immediately pushed themself off of the railing and turned to face xiao.

‘yes, what seems to be the problem-‘

xiao hugged [name]. (yes, yes he did.) he may dislike physical contact and would prefer to not get himself involved with such a thing, but considering the hard work [name] had done he was sure they might need something like this. even if it’s out of his comfort zone.

‘for a mortal as persistent and obedient as yourself, you should be more attentive to your own needs.’

[name] didn’t return the hug, as they were slowly processing the sudden action. but xiao continued to speak.

‘i understand how… resolute, you are, with any and every order that comes to your attention. however..’

xiao tightened the hug a little, but not enough to hurt them.

‘you have to come to terms with having the freedom to decide for yourself. as well as taking frequent breaks should you need them. to see you work so hard without anything in return.. i despise it greatly. i was once told these words by morax when i was like you, so it’d be appropriate for me to send his words to you as well.’

an: this is a birthday present for a dear school friend who’s an akito simp! (11/27, uploading just a few minutes before 12) so the reader in this fic will have a personality similar to theirs. i apologize for anything ooc, i heavily relied on the akito crumbs/pointers given to me. i know nothing about akito but now that i have a general gist of him, let’s see how this turned out! on another note i’ve written all of this in one night

The sun shines bright as day as you have the thought of painting on a blank canvas out of pure boredom. Painting is your side hobby, so this is nothing new to you. Your art supplies laid to the side; color palettes, paintbrushes, a cup of water to douse your used brushes, all of the things you need are right there awaiting to be used.

Though, you can’t really think of what to paint.

Before thinking of anything else, you hear your bedroom door open. Completely cutting your train of thought. You jumped a little, thinking you’ve supposedly locked your door. But you didn’t.

Turning your head slightly, you saw a glimpse of orange. In an instant, you knew it was Akito.

You sighed, “I thought I’ve locked that door.”

“You’re pretty forgetful.”

You fully turned around, forgetting what you were planning to do in the first place as you were taken aback by his reply.

“And HOW did you get into my house? I don’t remember inviting you here.” You emphasized your ‘how’ by opening your arms in an exaggerated way.

Akito placed what seemed to be a neatly wrapped gift, the ribbon being your favorite color onto your bed. After placing the gift he glanced at you, a slight smirk presented on his face.

“Your parents.”

Your left eye twitched.

“Oh. Oh right. why do they always have to-“

“Anyways, I’ve come to give you a gift.” He cocked his head towards the gift. “Come open it.”

You rolled your eyes playfully before walking towards your bed. “You’re commanding.”

Akito crossed his arms. Ignoring your comment. “Just shut up and open it.”

“Okay, okay. I’ll open it, chill.” You picked up your gift. Turning it around, it was just an ordinary present. A typical white box with a f/c ribbon wrapped around it. After quickly observing the gift you slowly unwrapped the ribbon. Tossing the ribbon to the side, you gently placed the gift back onto your bed.

Akito leaned against the wall. Deep down, he was a little nervous to know what your reaction would be like. Due to lack of free time courtesy to VBS, he couldn’t really find a gift that’ll satisfy your tastes within a short period of time. Despite that, he has gotten something. And he hopes you’ll like it the same as he does.

Opening the box, you find a sunflower hair clip. Your eyes shined in awe. A simple gift, but it’s thoughtful & pretty-looking. You took it and held it up close.

“So..Do you like it?” He picked himself off of your wall and used one of his arms to scratch the back of his neck. His eyes narrow a little. “Originally I was planning on getting new brushes for you since I’ve heard you had a thing for art. But stuff came up recently so I didn’t have the time to pick out a good gift-“

“Are you kidding?“ You clipped the hair clip onto your hair. “This is the cutest gift ever!”

Akito’s gaze softened. His tensed up body now ceased, and he sighed in relief.

“I’m glad you liked it.” He noticed a blank canvas as well as some art necessities at the corner of your room, which struck a question in his mind. “Were you going to paint something?”

You glanced towards your canvas and exhaled. “Yeah, but I didn’t have anything in mind to paint.” That’s until an idea came into mind. Your eyes practically turned into stars, as Akito sweatdropped.

“I don’t like the sound of this.”

You took your hair clip off and clipped it onto Akito’s hair. He blinked, processing how’d you manage to do it quickly and how you’re able to reach. (if you’re taller than him feel free to ignore this)

“You’ll be my subject to paint!” You exclaimed, moving your chair & easel for them face in front of Akito.

Akito was at a lost of words. This is your gift, so why’re you giving it to him? Well, it doesn’t matter. You did say he’ll be the subject you’re painting about, so he’ll oblige. Knowing your artistic abilities, he’s respectful of you. So he trusts in your abilities.

At least you’ve gotten something to paint about, thanks to Akito, as well as getting positive feedback towards the gift he’d given you. So he’s content.

“Alright then. You’re lucky I’m only letting you do this because if it were anyone else, it’s an instant no.”

And then, a full day was spent on painting and spending quality time together. After saying your goodbyes, you gently shut the door & stared at your finished painting with a proud grin. It’s been a long day and you’re exhausted, so you’ve decided it’s time to hit the hay.

You’ve cleaned up your paintbrushes, put away your art supplies, tidied your room, and then changed into your pajamas. After doing so you’ve shut the lights and looked at yourself in the mirror with your sunflower hair clip. The moonlight shined through your window, giving you a better view of yourself. You admired how good the hair clip looked on you, as it suits you well.

Smiling, you took off your hair clip and placed it on your nightstand. You settled yourself to bed, letting your energy recharge for the next day.

Tomorrow is a new day, and you know damn well you’ll be wearing your sunflower hair clip day by day.

an: hey guys this is completely self indulgent and not an x reader! i had this idea sitting at the back of my head for some time and i thought to write it out because i want to. this is based off of how i figured out that the jp va of xiao also voices soma and inosuke and wanted to write about those three interacting!!!

notes: not proofread, lowercase intended, completely written for fun, not an x reader

when soma heard that xiao is a picky eater, he will do anything in his power to make something that would suit xiao’s tastes much like erina. but..xiao wouldn’t try anything because he’s picky. (as he’s loyal to almond tofu) meanwhile, inosuke would eat all of soma’s ‘failed’ dishes just so they wouldn’t be a waste

‘say.. i’ve heard you liked eating ‘almond tofu.’ so how about i make you some!’

xiao turned towards soma, his eyes narrow slightly, ‘what.’

‘yeah!’ soma leaned towards the kitchen counter. ‘you’ve been talking about ‘almond tofu this’ ‘almond tofu that’ and i’ve been making a bunch of dishes for the past hour but you wouldn’t budge one bit. inosuke had to eat them all.’

inosuke paused from eating his 47th dish to holler out, ‘THIS STUFF IS DELICIOUS!!!’ before continuing to chow down on said dish.

xiao had a blank expression before turning his back on the two with his arms crossed. he does enjoy almond tofu, but how on earth is soma able to cook a dish he isn’t familiar with?

xiao sighed, ‘you don’t even know how to make it. not only is it foreign, it has a rather complex recipe along with it. attempting to cook it will only do you no good. it’ll be a waste of time.’

soma smirked, lifted himself off of the counter and unwrapped his white band off of his wrist, ‘do you know who you’re talking to?’ xiao turned his head behind him, confused as to what he’s doing.

soma wrapped his band around his head, and after he pulled the tie together, he smiled pridefully towards xiao.

inosuke could feel an intense wind swirling around the two as they have a mini stare down. he once again stopped from eating to watch them out of wonder. he couldn’t help but feel bubbles swirl around him.

‘i will make you try something, and make you say it’s delicious! if it’s the last thing i’ll do!’ soma then gathered up some ingredients he thinks would be best fit for almond tofu before beginning to make the dish with the ingredients that are available to him.

while xiao is bewildered, he is a tiny bit impressed. never before has he seen such determination from a mortal.

‘you’re too stubborn. though, for a mortal, i admire your perseverance. xiao answered, before fully turning around and examining soma’s actions.

‘well, that’s one compliment out of you.’ soma laughed before continuing on making xiao’s dish.

inosuke jumped from his seat before running towards soma, ‘HEY! ARE YOU MAKING SOMETHING AGAIN? WHATEVER IT IS I WILL DEVOUR IT WHOLE!!’

‘wha?!- this isn’t yours, inosuke.‘ soma felt a light bulb brightened above his head, as an idea formed. ‘hey inosuke, i bet you can’t sit still for at least an hour.’ soma glanced towards xiao, ‘because he can do that better than you.’ xiao let out a noise of shock at the mention of his name and before he says anything in protest, inosuke is barreling towards xiao’s direction.

‘I CAN DO IT BETTER THAN HIM!! WATCH ME!!!’

as soma cooks, he could hear noises of protests from xiao and boisterous laughs from inosuke. he chuckles to himself as he continues to do what he’s doing, having the drive to make xiao’s favorite dish.
