You Can't Cook

Being unable to cook isn’t necessarily a big deal. Takumi cooks all the time to help out at the restaurant. He doesn’t have an issue cooking for you too.

The only time it would be an issue is if you refuse to cook at all. He can’t be the only one in the house cooking all the time. While he won’t directly say that he has an issue with this. The signs will be there. He doesn’t mind taking the time to show you how to cook and helping you out with cooking. You both can take turns cooking something. He will be very patient in teaching you how to cook. He knows that it isn’t always easy for others to do. So, he’ll continue teaching and being there for you until you are able to cook for yourself without needing any help. Of course, if you have any questions, you can always ask, and he’ll answer.

Isami has no issue with you being unable to cook. With him being the only one able to cook, he can continue to work on his cooking skills and improve himself. He doesn’t want you to be able to cook better than he can and is slightly insecure about that. He’ll be hesitant to teach you how to cook and will only do so if you really want to. If you have questions, he may or may not help you. It depends on how he is feeling at that time. If he teaches you how to cook, you’ll be a better cook, but if he doesn’t teach you, then you won’t know how to cook. It won’t be obvious that he is trying to get you to fail. So it won’t be something that you can obviously tell.

Satoshi doesn’t mind that you can’t cook. If you want to learn, he has no issue showing you and teaching you. He will be proud when you develop your own way of cooking. He has his own preferred way of cooking, and he hates that people tell him to cook a certain way. So, the fact that you found your own way of cooking makes him proud. He isn’t going to tell you to cook in any specific way; he will only teach you to cook. Things like how long to cook something until it’s well done. Simple things like that; the rest is kind of up to your own creativity. He doesn’t want to tell you what to do and for you to find your own way of doing things. He will help you out if you ask him to. He doesn’t mind.

thinking of Fox bribing random citizens to buy food for him from places that aren't the most friendly to clones whenever he wants something from there, but some places catch on to this. they can't do anything about it unless they want to refuse a paying customer for no reason and risk more problems, which creates this tense and/or hostile relationship that Fox loves (he finds it fun). there are times where he will stand right outside the establishment just to watch them get angry as they give the person the food that Fox asked for, but this is a bit too bold, so he doesn't do it often.

Thinking about headcanons about the High Guard and the war with the Quintessons. Thinking on how Alpha Trion mentions that the war with the Quintessons has been going on for thousands of cycles. I think about how most of the general population thinks the war ended already and if they fight the Quintessons again to them it might feel like a new war is starting. Like the peace was built on a lie and it is a false peace, but people believed the war was over. Meanwhile for the High Guard the war with the Quintessons never ended, it only got worse. Probably to the High Guard in their eyes they are still at war with the Quintessons and always have been this whole time. Like even if Sentinel died that gives them the revenge they wanted and bonus they’re no longer being hunted by him so one problem solved, but they were still at war even before Sentinel’s betrayal and they’re probably still in a ‘we’re fighting a war’ mindset. I think this is also another reason the High Guard decided to follow Megatron because they want and feel like they need a strong commander that can lead them to win a war. Someone who won’t show mercy to their enemies. The kind of ruthlessness that they’ve had to embrace to survive these last 50 cycles. It’s the first time they’ve probably felt hope of winning in a long time over the 50 cycles after watching their strongest leaders fall.

I think this also includes Starscream, I genuinely think he thinks Megatron has the potential to be a leader worth following in TFOne (even if losing that fight might have stung his pride a bit). This Starscream is older and has probably been fighting in this war for thousands of cycles, he likely knows how vital morale is and that the person inspiring that in the High Guard right now is Megatron. Demoralized warriors do not fight as well as those who have someone to rally behind and have hope. And I think Starscream is painfully aware of this and also was feeling pretty damn despondent these last few cycles too, but he couldn’t exactly show that when he was leader cause if your leader has given up on things then it’s basically confirming to everyone else that they should give into hopelessness too and that’s when things would quickly devolve into chaos and death, so Starscream probably had to ‘conceal don’t feel’ all of that grief and despair. Basically a ‘if I don’t lock in and set an example we’re all going to die and I refuse to die like this’ mentality now rinse and repeat that for 50 cycles.

I personally don’t think he’ll betray Megatron or try to take back his position of leadership yet until he believes that Megatron isn’t living up to what Starscream deems as a worthy leader. Though he might be loyal for now, I think he’ll still also be the most critical of Megatron and the one who challenges his way of leadership if he thinks the other is falling short of their goals or believes Megatron’s plans will get them killed. I also think Starscream might try to be a mentor figure and shape Megatron into what he thinks a leader should be (for better or worse). This will likely cause tensions down the line as Starscream might think his ideas are better because he has more experience in war/leading troops vs Megatron who might view Starscream’s way of doing things as set in his ways/old fashioned. I think there’s the potential for Starscream to view Megatron’s way of charging in and taking action as reckless meanwhile Megatron might interpret Starscream’s caution as cowardice instead of calculated.

At the end of the day, I just think that the High Guard are war veterans whose war never ended.

After having visited my nephew who is a sneaky little sweetheart has me thinking of Odysseus's childhood. (Headcanons ahead!)

I so imagine he would, as a toddler, being sneaky and proud of it. He would climb on a table and eat that extra set of grapes even if his parents told him not to, he would crawl or run about the house at the rooms he wasn't supposed to. He would look at you in the eye while doing so and he would come at you with that sweet baby look of his, hugging you and making you forget about everything.

Because he knows even as a baby that he is the beloved "much prayed for" child (possibly an only child till later too). He has those big smart eyes that stare into your soul. He would know how to speak very early (possibly already at 1st year forming words and phrases) and he would use them all as a weapon to kill you with cuteness and make you "aww" no matter what he does!

And with those big and beautiful eyes (the latter is Homer-canon) and his curly hair he truly would be a little devious devil wearing an angel's face hahaha 😆

You know he is up to no good and you are willing to forgive him for it! Odysseus would have been a sneaky little bastard from infantry and you can't change my mind

erza scarlet + expiration dates: a headcanon

erza takes expiration dates so seriously it’s basically a moral code. if you eat something past the date, she looks at you like you just committed a federal crime.

once saw gray drinking milk that expired that morning and immediately started planning his funeral.

“you don’t understand,” she told lucy once. “this is how wars start.”

natsu is her worst nightmare. he’ll just grab literal mystery food and eat it like it’s no big deal.

"it builds immunity," he says.

"it builds your chances of dying," she says.

the one time she truly feared for gajeel’s life was when he pulled a sandwich out of his pocket and said "huh. forgot about this." she prayed out loud.

levy: “erza it’s just a yogurt—” erza, already throwing it in the trash: “DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH.”

mirajane tried to tell her that "best by" dates are just suggestions. erza just stared at her and said, "so is jaywalking, but would you walk into traffic?"

the guild now hides expired food from her because if she sees it, she will start a full-scale investigation and nobody is ready for that.

rumor has it she once made wendy run a full medical exam on natsu just to check how he’s still alive after everything he’s eaten.

listen. erza has been through too much to let expired mayonnaise take her out. she doesn’t care how fine it looks—if it says it’s expired, it’s DEAD TO HER. she’s literally the only reason fairy tail hasn’t been wiped out by natsu’s food choices alone.

what the 141 guys would eat in an all you can eat buffet

price

price is the one grilling the meat most of the time if they're in like a kbbq where you cook the meat yourself

he tells the boys to grab whatever they want cuz it should be fun rather than trying to get their money's worth

still though he will make sure that everyone finishes their plate bcz no wasting food here people it's an extra 10 pounds for like 100g of food you wasted get your head in the game-

honestly probably wouldn't be that hard, his boys eats a lot in general

keeping it simple with series of meats and booze, though might indulge in some pastries if something catches his fancy

tends to pick something he's familiar with and one that looks good, will be disappointed if the one he picked doesn't taste as good as it looks :(

oh also will definitely go ham at the crabs, kinda shows off how to crack it open and get the most meat from it hehe

i feel like the buffet he feels more comfortable with are the ones that offer him familiar sights and lots of meat. and maybe some veggies too to cut the cholesterol out of his body a little

he might enjoyed k-bbq, cuz they eat lots of veggies while going hard on the meat too

he's a fancy boy, he wants some good drinks while he eats through the entire place

indulges in desserts, but only at the end where he knows that he's had enough of the main dishes (the dessert ruins his appetite so he keeps it towards the end)

still though if he goes to a buffet he's gonna make sure he stays until the end, kept going either way until the last seconds.

might end up very sick and in a food comma, someone has to roll him out of the place later

his favorite buffets are those cheap ones where the dishes are something he knows and he just cycles through like five dishes through his one hour time limit

he gets made fun of by ghost because his plate is always full of beige

he doesn't really like the ones where you cook yourself, he feels like its a lot of waiting for the cooking and not enough time eating

also doesn't really go for the soups, cuz he soups take a lot of space in your stomach. will probably indulge in a small bowl or two though just to try.

he likes a lot of things and doesn't really have anything he hates or turn away, keeps going somewhere where he knows where he could eat his fill in the cheap

he might put the place in the red though, he can certainly eat a lot

meat? sure. salad? put it on the plate. toast and eggs? why not. seafood? no need to ask.

his side of the table is always full of dishes and cluttered. you won't even be able to see the table underneath.

also the vacuum cleaner and the savior for price's wallet from paying the fee for leaving uneaten food

kyle always gets him to try interesting food, and ghost just doesn't really comment on it and puts it in his mouth

he likes anywhere where he could eat for the cheap, isn't very picky on the cuisine. as long as he's not the one cooking the food himself he's fine with it lol

Some Wrecker headcanons for Wrecker Wednesday

Look, I know I talk about food a lot, but it's my true love, so I'm not sorry, and I'll probably definitely do it again.

Because this man can cook. He never really even considered cooking before the Batch got to Pabu, but after trying Shep's sushi, Wrecker and Omega begged Shep and Lyana to teach them how to make it. That was how it started.

And because Wrecker is intensely competitive and loves a challenge, he pushed himself to make the most perfect kriffin' sushi on the island. The most precise knife work for his sashimi, the most uniform nigiri, and when he perfected maki on the first day, he demanded a real challenge and immediately graduated to uramaki.

The Marauder was sticky for three days afterward.

After that, he wanted to learn it all. Every time he went to a new food cart on Pabu, he'd watch the vendor's techniques and try to replicate them exactly when he was practicing on his own. He scoured the holonet for new recipes and tutorials. He started testing new flavor combinations (some of them were so bad even Batcher wouldn't eat them, but mostly they were good to great), and combining different techniques, and experimenting with new ingredients that the Batch encountered on their travels. Sometimes it was a huge success, and sometimes it was a spectacular failure, but either way, he learned something new every single time.

Over time, he realized that the type of cooking he enjoyed most was the fiddly, delicate, precise work; he was good at it from all those years working with sensitive explosives, and he liked to keep his skills sharp. But what he loved most was when his family all sat down to eat a meal he'd painstakingly cooked for them, balancing Omega's endlessly curious palate with Hunter's sensitivity to overwhelming flavors and Crosshair's love of spicy and acidic food. When he found the perfect dish to satisfy all three? Well, that was a good day.

You can’t cook. You never could. You were embarrassed by it; you should be able to do it. There wasn’t any reason why you couldn’t learn. The thing was, you could set water on fire. You didn’t know how it was possible, but no matter how hard you tried, things never ended well. You wanted to make food but you couldn’t.

Terunori worked as a chef, and he was always good with what he did. He had no issues with taking you out to eat for your dates; he had the money to afford it. So it was never an issue, or if you guys wanted to eat at home... You would hesitate; you hoped that he wouldn’t ask you to cook him a meal. He never really did, and he didn’t notice your hesitation in staying home. It wasn’t intentional. He was just oblivious to his excitement at being with you. You made him truly happy. It wasn’t until one day, you were at home, you had the day off of work, and he did not. He simply asked if you could make something to eat for the both of you. You felt the panic in you as you wondered what to do. You couldn’t cook. You were going to fail. The thought of buying something from the store and bringing it home crossed your mind, but you didn’t want to lie to him. You wanted to cook. You really, truly did. You sat around debating what you wanted to do. You were just about to come to a decision when the front door opened. You froze, unsure of what to do or what to say. You didn’t expect him to be home so soon. You looked at the time; he should be home by now, and he was.

“Hi babe.” You said with an attempt at a smile.

“Hi.” He said, smiling back as he stepped closer and gave you a hug. He was quick to notice your strange behavior, even though you hugged him back. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.” You said as you watched him slowly, making his way towards the kitchen. He didn’t want to be rude and ask about dinner, but he couldn’t smell it and he couldn’t see it, and something was completely off about the situation. He poked his head around the doorframe. “Are you sure that you’re alright?”

“Yes…” You looked around, and he vanished into the kitchen before coming back out.

“Are you sure you don’t want to talk about what’s wrong?”

“I can’t cook; I��m sorry.”

He smiled. “It’s alright. How about I show you some time?”

You breathed a sigh of relief. “You can try.” You said nervously, knowing that his training wouldn’t help you in the slightest.

I think it's really heartbreaking seeing Leia be completely against truly forgiving Vader.

It is heartbreaking to see that she is capable of hurting her brother emptionally just because he forgave so easily. Is she furious? Grieving? Dissapointed? Jealous? I'm not sure.

But just because Luke forgave does not mean he forgot.

As I see it, he doesn't downplay that Vader was a horrible person. He acknowledges that he made terryfying mistakes with unimaginable consequences. He grieves the future that he and Vader never had. He rages against the terror and suffering spread around the Galaxy. He hates, if for brief seconds, everyody that led to this present. And yet he forgives.

Luke is just as much of a good Jedi as Leia would be an inadequate one.

Leia is a lot like Vader - she does not forgive, forget or truly move on.

Luke is like Padme - he learnt to forgive and never forget, to move on but always be caucious, to hope for the better.

Lives on Tatooine and in a palace can be so similar yet so different, shape people in so many ways.

I wouldn't want to say which stance I support more, whether you should forgive your persecutor or not. It is simply an action which reflects your personality, values, essence. To me, it is how you go about it that matters. And that's a pretty cool thing to think about.

Since I do have it in Lilith's lore she was fed blood by Sanguinius, I am crossed between the choices before me. There's a bird and a bat way, and then there's the slightly more humane way of just Sanguinius just feeding her his own blood. I am crossed because I like to make Sanguinius just a tinge more animalistic at times, and by god do I love me some weird behaviors that shouldn't exist in humans which brings me to him quite literally regurgitating blood for her. It's entirely possible the Blood Angels french kiss to share blood with their less fortunate brothers, especially in say the Blood Drinkers chapter. However, Flamingos also regurgitate for their young. I know Sanguinius is more bird of prey then the brine shrimp eating Flamingo, but I'm like do I give him that horror? I mean if we go by vampire bats, mothers absolutely will feed their pups regurgitated blood, this behavior even seen in the father and older siblings; what I'm saying is that let's add a bit more Vampiric weirdness to Vampire Birb and let him regurgitate blood for his baby. To be fair vampire ground Finches exist, but their diet isn't entirely made up of blood, it's only in the dry season they do. However, the sight of Sanguinius regurgitating blood for Lilith, and then proceeding to be both concerned and confused over what the fuck he just did is beautiful and majestic. Also because we don't actually see too many vampiric headcanons for Sanguinius so I am giving the same method of feeding offspring as Vampire Bats do their pups.
