I was thinking about WOL outfits and what not, so here's a question:

And to elaborate on the difference between option 1 and option 2, a brief explanation of my interpretations under the cut:

Illusion magic only masks the true appearance of an item, bending the light aether around the item to make it look different to the naked eye. No physical properties of the armour changes. It maintains its original dimensions and weight. If your WOL was wearing full plate armour then glamoured it to something more revealing, if someone tried to stab an exposed area, their knife would stop on impact of the concealed armour.

Transformation magic will fully alter the physical appearance of the armour into the applied glamour. It will take on the shape and structure of the WOL's desired form, but the properties of the materials used will be maintained. The high grade metal of the armour will be altered to a state where it was like a woven thread. The item would provide the same degree of protection as the original where it physically exists in its glamoured state. If your WOL glamoured their plate armour into a the street wear top, their actual abdomen could be pierced by weapon. Because this is magic you could fudge the physics if you so choose or say there's a secondary spell involved; but I'd imagine that if the transformation was completely lossless, your glamoured item will weight the same amount as the un-glamoured version. (Otherwise it would be more like a transmutation which is a lossy conversion and not reversible. The WOL turned their new savage tier BIS armour into a hempen camise and lost 95% of the material in the process. When they dispel the glamour they have that hempen camise's amount of the original armour piece.)

That's my take on the two options! I don't know if either of them really contradict any canon in-game explanations to the glamour system tbh. It's been so long since I picked up the intro quest and the only time I remember glamours being used as a plot device it was in the ARR Hildebrand quest line (I think the very end or within the coliseum arc, either way I'm not doing all that just to check and see that it says nothing of note)

I wonder why Chris Rodriguez joined Luke in the first place. Was he jaded against the gods like Luke was? Was he following his older brother's example? And then I wonder how he coped after the Labyrinth. How did it feel to know he was basically sent on a desperate suicide mission with almost no chance of success? How did it feel to know that the camp he turned his back on, the children of the gods he had renounced, one of the very gods he had been working to destroy, ended up saving him? What was going through his mind when he came back from his madness at Camp Half-Blood thanks to one of the very gods Luke and Kronos insisted didn't care about him? Is that why he chose to stay? Did he realize Luke was wrong about Camp Half-Blood and about at least some of the gods when they welcomed him back with open arms? Did he see Dionysus save him and realize that the gods are capable of caring when it matters? Did he realize that there was a chance for the gods to be better? Did he realize there was another way to get what they wanted without war and death and deals with monsters and Titans? Is that why Chris Rodriguez chose to stay at Camp Half-Blood rather than return to the Titan army?

AU where Franka doesn't get approval for the transfer and instead has to cut and run to Rhodes Island alone. Liskarm just misses finding out and isn't able to follow. and then they reunite some years down the line for whatever reason, Franka happy at Rhodes Island but still a little lonely and Liskarm saying she's fine but being at Blacksteel for so long has made her colder and harsher and just plain miserable.

(it isn't all bad, she at least has Jessica and Vanilla, but they can't get under her skin the way Franka could. Liskarm swears that Franka would get under skin sometimes just to dig out the bad feelings.)

(and Franka has people. she's surrounded by people she cares about. operators cut from the same cloth as her, that will charge headlong into battle beside her. colleagues who will nag her about sleeping and eating and training and mission parameters. friends who will rag on her for her choice of reading material. but Liskarm was all of those things rolled into one. and she is not here)

foreman is an alpha in mgv au right? what's he like during his time of the month? is he a "i will sit here in this room that i have barricaded and i will not do anything" type? is he a "i am going to do what all other alphas do on ruts and find a partner" type? is he the "i am going to go to work and perform normally because i am so in control of myself at all times that i can just push this out of my head and work" type?

in wcau which clan is he? plainsclan like house? what's his name? i could see him trying to be a deputy or something.

he is! he'll find a partner for his ruts, as that is just the best thing to do for anyone in a cycle period, even if it means hiring help. but in the times he doesn't want to deal with another person at his house (his territory) as those moods are just as common for him, he'll manage by working out instead. without someone to manage him though he tends to go overboard and might end up having to use some of his sick days after his rut passes just to recover from nonstop elliptical + bench use compounded with poor eating habits (typical for alphas on rut to ignore/not register hunger/thirst). the exercise is NOT manageable btw especially not with his job so he doesn't retain the extra muscle outside of his rut, he's not just jacked all the time.

for wcau i'm still pondering his name...... nvm i got it. fourmoor, which nods to his steadfast nature as he traveled from the city (further away from the clans than even wilson's home) to join plainsclan. in reality, he just wanted to get off the streets and its many dangers, and plainsclan was just the first one he ran into, but he let codstar (cuddy) believe what she wanted if it meant he gets to live a relatively safer life. he does aim for the deputy position in due time once he sees the chaos of clan life and comes up with changes he feel would benefit everyone. the deputy isn't really a notable character here (the one before was stillsight [stacy] but she stepped down after house left as she felt her decisions made regarding his care while he was ill proved she's unfit for the position) but foreman is positive he would do much better than them. he's no tigerstar, he's not gonna kill the guy, but if he jokes about it in private with robinchaser [chase] and thirteenclaw, well. they have a good sense of humor
