Henry felt devastated for his oldest friend. "That's absolutely horrible. I can't possibly imagine what Robert is going through. Even though he had issues with his father, this would no doubt affect him greatly.” His heart ached for Robert. Having lost his father due to a murder. Who could've done that? Was it the same person who attempted to kill Mr. Danvers Carew with the fire which Hyde got framed for? “You said it seemed personal. Why do you say that, old friend?” The lawyer took a moment to answer. “The murder was grisly and there wasn't anything stolen from the crime scene. It sounded more than just a robbery gone wrong. If it was truly that, expensive items would've been missing yet it all remained. I'm honestly shocked that Robert never told you. You two were always so close. Practically inseparable from college.” Henry looked visibly uncomfortable and solemn due to what his friend had said. “Thank you for telling me this. I do hope Robert will tell me about this on his own time. I won't force him or rush him.” Gabriel nodded at that. “Are you going to tell him?” The teacher seemed hesitant to answer that. “I will, once he has his own problems sorted. I would rather not add onto his problems with my own.” While it was true, Henry also didn't want to make things more complicated for Robert. He knew that his best friend had HJ7 and possibly could have ingested it. Leading to his own soul being split. It would only stress him out which could lead to his possible version of Hyde to get better control over him. It would only serve as ammo Robert's counterpart could use against him. “That is quite understandable. You two have been through a lot. Also considering the incident with your former employee. Mr. Hyde. It's been so stressful for both of you.” Hyde felt nervous whenever Gabriel would mention him. It felt like he could so easily uncover who he truly was to Henry. It was why he never appeared around him either. It's not that they didn't trust him. Not at all. As crazy as Hyde thought he was, he didn't want to possibly lose a friend he technically never met. He actually liked Gabriel and knew that the lies Henry kept would hurt the man deeply. It was a shared fear between Henry and Edward. “Thank you for understanding that, Gabriel. Also thank you for helping me.” Gabriel offered him a warm smile. “Of course. I would do anything for my dearest friends.” It troubled Henry. Why didn't Robert say anything about his father? Yet again, Robert did keep it a secret that he had a vial of HJ7 too. Becky looked confused, she had known about the murder of Dr. Lanyons father before he did. She was sure he would've known. Before the young girl could think about it further, she heard a voice calling for her. It was her uncle's voice. She listened to him calling, luckily Gabriel was too occupied with Henry to notice that. She went over to her father and tugged at his sleeve. Making Dr.Two-Brains lean over so she could whisper into his ear. “Dad, Uncle Alan is calling me. It sounds really urgent, I'll be back as soon as possible.” The mad scientist seemed reluctant to let her leave but nodded. “Alright, please don't take too long. Be careful.” With that said, Becky left. The moment she was alone, checking to make sure it was safe, Becky transformed and flew straight to Alan's and Hugh's apartment. She wondered why he called for her instead of going there himself. It must've been something serious. When she arrived, Becky went to the apartment she knew they resided in. Giving the door a couple of knocks before it was answered by Alan. Behind him were the other three of the four. “Uncle Alan? What are the others doing here?” His expression remained stoic. “We wanted to tell you something. We need you to tell your dad to turn his phone on. We have urgent information to tell him. Something has happened. We need to tell him what as well as the information we gained from it.”

Becky looked alarmed at what her uncle had just said. "Does it have something to do with Dr. Barriton?" Becky inquired as she remembered her dad telling her about the blonde scientist. Becky never really met him since the guy was fired when she was a baby. Her dad did describe him as an absolute narcissus and prick who was Athena's cousin. Becky didn't hold it against anyone to be related to that psycho woman since her twin brother Eris was a good person. She held the man's character and lack of morals against him. Alan shook his head. "No, it wasn't Calvin. Have you heard any of the adults speak of a Lucian Bennett?" Alan asked his niece. Becky pondered the question a bit and shook her head. "Not really, no." She answered. "Who is he?" The four looked at each other, not really sure how to explain. Hugh decided to speak about the man and his encounter to a degree. "We are not entirely sure who Lucian is as a person, but we know he is like Edward Hyde. By that, I mean he is the counterpart of someone who took the HJ7 formula." Becky's eyes widened at Hugh's explanation. There was someone out there who had their own Mr. Hyde! "Does Dr. Jekyll know about Lucian?" Becky asked in an urgent tone. The others gave a nod. "Yeah, he is aware of Lucian. He is also aware of the man having his own variation of the HJ7 formula though he isn't entirely sure how it is possible." Jenkins explained. "Listen, Becky. We really need to get in touch with your dad. It's difficult to explain but Lucian had nearly gotten physical with Hugh. We need to tell your dad what we know and what happened. Alan couldn't fly to Henry's house since it would have caused some alarm and we know the others are still recovering from Athena's attack. That is why he contacted you." Patricia explained in a serious tone. Becky nodded as she understood the gravity of the situation. "Okay, I'll get my dad." The heroine then took off back to Dr. Jekyll's apartment. "Where did your daughter run off too?" Gabriel asked. "Oh, she remembered she had to go outside and call her uncle Alan and let him know she couldn't spend the night at his and Hugh's home this Friday since personal things came up." Dr Two Brains quickly explained. Utterson looked surprised at the response. "She had to take her phone call outside." The lawyer exclaimed with a slightly suspicious tone. Two Brains internally panicked. 'Why can't this guy be as dumb as the rest of the civilians in this city.' "Oh well it was special bonding family thing they had this weekend though Becky is no longer feeling up to it. She and her uncle Alan have unique traditions that are not meant for other ears to hear. It shouldn't take to long for Becky to speak with Alan." Two Brains exclaimed. Henry seemed to catch onto the hidden meaning of his boyfriends' words and decided to help cover for him. "It's a strange but endearing characteristic that my boyfriend's family has. They like to keep their personal businesses private, even if it is just regular, family matters." Henry added. Gabriel looked a bit confused but quickly shook it off for now. "If you say so, Henry." He then turned to Dr. Two Brains. "So your brother is dating Dr. Mann?" Gabriel asked Two Brains shook his head. "No, Alan is dating Hugh, but he isn't my brother. He is technically my brother-in-law. He is Becky's mom's sibling." The mad scientist corrected. In what seemed to be a short amount of time, Becky returned inside. "Hey, kiddo. How did your talk with Uncle Alan go on the phone?" Dr. Two Brains inquired. Becky greeted her dad with a smile but Two Brains and Henry could tell that it was faked. "It went well, but he wanted me to let you know to turn on your phone. Hugh and the other four have been trying to reach you and see how you were doing." Becky respond. Two Brains looked embarrassed and quickly pulled out his phone to turn it on. His eyes widened as he saw the missed calls. "Oops. Sorry. I turned my phone off because I was having a conversation with Henry and didn't want to be disturbed." I do have a timeline, I hope you have time to read it, it's long. Lawrence Talbot (universal's Wolfman) gets bitten and turns into a werewolf, killing his family on his first transformation. Quincey and Larry seek out Doctor Watson for help because they don't know who else to turn too and Watson treated the initial wolf bite. Watson is also suspicious because there were no reports of a wolf escaping from a zoo and there are no wild wolves in Britain. They begin seeking out possible cures for Larry, this puts them on track for the Jekyll/Hyde encounter. After some convincing Edward joins the team and begins researching a serum to cure Larry. Research leads them to vampire attacks. Watson recalls that Holmes disappeared searching for an alleged vampire in the countryside. They meet Theo but she doesn't join them, currently Theo is still on team Dracula taking refuge with the brood hanging around Dorian Gray. Edward has a small breakthrough after speaking to a sailor at a dockside pub one night, he's put on the trail to find Victor Frankenstein's alchemical research. This leads him to Walton's ship and the expedition to the arctic where they encounter the Creature Adam joins the crew after Watson convinces him. The crew return to England and find that vampire activity has increased, more people have gone missing and they are tipped off by Theo that Dorian Gray has been hosting parties that end in the disappearances of guests. Selma is summoned by the Harker family to join as she is a vampire hunter, she leaves Texas and arrives in the UK. She and Edward hook up. The crew investigate Dorian Gray and through Theo's help obtain invitations to his parties. Dorian seduces Adam, while Dorian is distracted the crew hunt for Dorian's portrait. Once the portrait is found the crew get their first insight to devil contracts. They steal the portrait for study. Adam obsesses over Dorian and has to be talked down from stalking and killing him. Theo is outed as a traitor and has to flee from Dorian's brood. She seeks out the crew for shelter and is offered that Edward will research a cure for vampirism if she actively joins the crew. Theo agrees. A letter for Sherlock arrives indicating that the managers of an Opera house in Paris are dealing with a haunting. Watson is at first, averse to leaving for France but after a suggestion from Quincey that it might be worth looking into if this Phantom is really supernatural. There is suspicion that the Phantom is a vampire or connected to Dorian Gray as Dorian keeps a residence in Paris and is known to frequent the opera. This leads to the encounter with Erik and the Daroga. While in France Adam requests that they take a detour to Geneva, he wants to see what became of the Frankensteins after Victor died. He finds that Ernest had survived and the Frankenstein family continues to live there, they have recovered from the tragedy and the new generation is happy and thriving. Adam is relieved and decides not to make contact for the time being but he does sneak into manor and look for more of Victor's research. He is seen by Ernest's granddaughter who instantly realizes what he is. He begs her not to scream and promises that he's not here to do her harm, he only came for Victor's notes. She allows him to take them. He apologizes to her for the harm he caused and she accepts, albeit warily and it's uncertain to Adam if her acceptance was the product of fear. He leaves well enough alone and vanishes into the night.

Further research into Victor's notes reveals that there is a journal missing, efforts to track down the journal reveal it fell into the possession of Doctor Moreau. While the crew gathers to find Moreau they are robbed by Griffin the invisible man in an attempt for him to steal back Dorian's portrait. Griffin is first sensed by Theo who can smell him and later by Edward who can hear his heartbeat. As Griffin tries to escape he is caught in one of Erik's traps. During his questioning at the hands of Edward, who has far too much fun with the interrogation, Griffin escapes. The crew track down Doctor Moreau, who is hiding on an island in the Mediterranean, Adam is disgusted by the treatment of Moreau's creations and incites them to rebel. He is horrified to discover that Moreau was inspired by Victor's work and used a twisted version of his methods to create the surgically altered "mythical beasts" he controls. The creations rise up and kill their maker, Adam asserts that it was their right to do so. In Moreau's lab they find clues that lead them to the Faust's homunculus and to the immortal ancient Egyptian, Imhotep (Universal's Mummy) The founder of alchemy and not entirely evil. Imhotep is able to raise the dead but only as soulless husks, he is intrigued by Adam as Adam may present a key to reviving his lost love. Imhotep is convinced to let Adam go and gives up the Homunculus, explaining that it can break a devil's contract. A mysterious woman named Marguerite (Faust) appears and warns the crew to return to the UK before they get in too deep. Before Watson can question the woman she disappears. Vampire activity has reached an all time peek. Mina Harker, Quincey's mother, begins to have nightmares and visions. A threatening man revealed later to be Dracula appears in London and seems to be following Quincey. Dorian has fled and his home is now taken over by a vampire named Carmilla who reaches out to Theo with an offer to join her brood. Theo declines, having found a home with the crew. It is revealed that Marguerite is Mephistopheles in disguise and he is building and army with the intent to gain a physical foothold on earth with a long term goal of overthrowing Heaven. The rest of the story focuses on the crew trying to overthrow Mephistopheles and I am still doing a lot of re-writes and moving things around but this is the broadest roadmap of events.

🍦 Pure Vanilla Cookie as Dr Henry Jekyll 🍦 The titular character of this two-sided but amazingly thrilling musical! An understanding ruler of the Vanilla Kingdom, where the Light of Truth shall always prevail. But when he went too close to the cold hard truth in order to find White Lily, it was then where Pure Vanilla became one with a deceitful entity. He still has control over his body about 85% of the time. But the remaining 15% will have Shadow Milk take over. At that point, the 15% increases to a higher and more frequent chance of Shadow Milk being the one in control. Is he still Pure Vanilla? Or is he now Shadow Milk?

🃏 Shadow Milk Cookie as Mr Edward Hyde 🃏 The original owner of what's now known as the Light of Truth, with what remains pure from his corrupted thoughts on the Soul Jam. A deceiving trickster, creating an entire theatrical performance with his own ideas of fun. When Pure Vanilla went too close to where he was sealed away, Shadow Milk took advantage of it. He sometimes pops in and out of control of Pure Vanilla's mind to control his body, which increases more as time goes on. Is he still Pure Vanilla? Or is he now Shadow Milk?

⚔️ Dark Cacao Cookie as Lucy Harris ⚔️ Very stoic and headstrong, making sure he's capable in defending his own kingdom and its citizens. And also being there for his dear friends to protect them, especially Pure Vanilla who he has a crush on. On the night Pure Vanilla unwillingly became one with Shadow Milk, the latter of the two decided to target the warrior king first. Dark Cacao saw through his deceitful lies, and tries to help Pure Vanilla take control when he gets the chance. Unfortunately, Dark Cacao knows he needs to play this dangerous game. But he doesn't care if he crumbles from this, as long as his crush is safe from this alter-ego.

🏵️ White Lily Cookie as Emma Carew 🏵️ A sweet and caring cookie, who has a strong bond with Pure Vanilla. Even when many are indifferent towards White Lily for she used to be one with Dark Enchantress, he's still forgiving and understanding to her. White Lily is aware of the Origins of the Five Beasts, but still doesn't know the complete story. A reasonable amount at best, but not good enough to stop them. She's dedicated to helping all cookiekind out, especially the Faerie Cookies after Elder Faerie transferred his powers to her before he passed on. No matter what, White Lily will do her best to save Pure Vanilla from Shadow Milk's control. Just like when he did the same for her back then.

✒️ Clotted Cream Cookie as Mr John Utterson ✒️ The son of Light Cream and adoptive kid (more like eventual appointed consul) of Elder Custard. A cookie who allied himself with the Ancients in order to defeat Dark Enchantress Cookie, and learn more about Beast-Yeast. He doesn't know much about what Pure Vanilla is currently dealing with in terms of being one with Shadow Milk. Slowly but surely however, Clotted Cream noticed how much Pure Vanilla's been acting lately. For now though, he needs to focus on helping him and the other Ancients about this Beast-Yeast Situation.

🌙 Moonlight Cookie as Sir Danver Carew 🌙 A cookie who White Lily sees as some sort of mother figure, often going to her for guidance. Moonlight is one of the few cookies (other than Pure Vanilla) who's willing to open up and understand the given situation. Even so, White Lily wanted to tell Moonlight about the Vanilla-Shadow Ordeal. But Pure Vanilla himself doesn't want anymore cookies to get involved, afraid he might hurt them.

🦋 Elder Faerie Cookie as Simon Stride 🦋 White Lily's great friend, with a sort of friendly rivalry with Pure Vanilla in terms of winning over her affection. A calm, strong, and just ruler of the Faerie Kingdom. Trusting White Lily and those that's deemed close to her, all while he made sure that the seal on the Silver Tree is safe. So that the Five Beasts won't get free and cause havoc again. Unfortunately fate had other plans, as the Five Beasts broke free the moment the Silver Tree was broke and thus the seal opened. Elder Faerie sacrificed half of his life to revive White Lily, before giving his other half of his life to her before passing on into the afterlife.

I keep thinking of Ed(?) that vampire guy and thinking of mc trying to keep the relationship with him a secret, or at least on the down low, but after like, 2 check ups from Yuri and Jiro, they v quickly realize what's going on when they see their blood level is lower than usual after their first mission with obscuary..

and after the look of just being done with everything yuri is going on a rant about why they need to be more careful or wtv and 'why would you even do that??'

or even a walk of shame to the chancellors office when they get too silly and oops mc is a vampire now(assuming it can be easy to turn into one idk much about them LOL)

Silly thoughts are the best tho lmao LBR THE GUY ALLEGEDLY CAN'T TIE HIS OWN SHOELACES, DOESN'T CLEAN UP AFTER HIMSELF, FALLS ASLEEP WHEREVER HE WANTS, IS KNOWN BY OTHER CAPTAINS TO BE A SLACKER, AND CARELESSLY TOUCHES RUI KNOWING IT'LL KILL HIM FOR A BIT; HE'S A MAGNET FOR SILLY THOUGHTS.

tbf we don't know how vampire lore is gonna work in tdb yet(Ed does have bitemarks on his neck, so biting is required to spread it presumably), so it's fair to not know how exactly it's spread or anything! I assume it won't be spread without intention to do so or without the target being near death or something(just so we can get that sweet feeding goodness), but it's also fun to imagine that the pc just like. . .offers to feed Ed and ends up a vampire because they just did not consider they'd catch vampirism. Why didn't anyone tell them! What do you mean they thought they knew!!! (on the other hand. . .would vampirism override their curse? Vampirism overrides Rui's curse when Edward touches him, it'd be a reasonable thing to try. . . .)

But lmaoooo going to Mortkranken and they're like. Why are you so anemic???? And the pc hadn't even considered it because hey blood comes back! And then it's even lower the second time. And they just. Figure it out right away like goddamn it your missions have been with Obscuary. And Yuri is so annoyed that they're doing something to jeopardize their wellbeing. Yes, he does need to feed daily if he's going on missions but he does not need to drink that much especially from the same person. Your blood comes back but it's still finite!

Yuri just scolds and fusses over them while Jiro prepares some iron supplements and like a list of food you should eat to help recover faster lolol

Another day they just got fed on by Ed and then get a text from Romeo saying to come to the VIP room and they're like "uh can i wait like. 20 minutes" "No. Come now." "I don't think that's a good idea." "Now."

and the second they step into Sinostra Taiga's sniffing them out because they've still got a partially bleeding wound and oh no he's hungry (and Romeo blames them anyway despite that they very specifically said they didn't think it's a good idea)

They pass out in class from the anemia and now Nicolas is worrying over them too(he's a lot nicer than Yuri at least) and now they're trying to figure out how they'll schedule with Ed to have a talk with him when Moby doesn't even wanna go to Obscuary(or Hotarubi!) despite being the dorm advisor

The pc gets turned and just. . .is Cornelius' office even open late? What do they even do about this!? They could go to Mortkraken, they're always up. . .they could find Hyde, he seems to be awake regardless of the time of day. And Ed is just so freespirited he doesn't even worry about it just pats them like oh don't worry about it you can spend as much time in Obscuary as you'd like!! Maybe this is what you needed! I'll teach you all about being a vampire, it'll be fun!!!

Of course when they eventually have to tell Cornelius or somebody it's a whole damn hassle. And they don't know how it'll effect the curse either. So now it's a mystery and things are up in the air and do they keep searching for a cure for something that may not even affect them anymore???? They aren't a ghoul but you're an anomaly now Obscuary is a ghoul-only dorm but do they place you there???? Do they keep you in containment??? It's just one problem after another!!! And what about keeping them fed!?

November 21st 1673 saw King James VII marry Mary of Modena.

The daughter of an Italian Duke, Mary wanted to become an Nun but at age 11 proposals for her hand in marriage were received from James, the then Duke of York and younger brother of King Charles II. James was a widower, the love of his life, Anne Hyde, had passed away age 34 in 1671, James was a staggering 25 years older than the future King, but fear not the marriage never took place till Mary was 15.

There were problems straight away, Mary was a staunch catholic and this didn’t go down well with the Parliament, which was all protestan, they viewed Mary with suspicion, believing her to be an agent of the Pope, such was life back then. Things worsened for James and Mary when a secretary of theirs was implicated in the fictitious Popish Plot, a plan to assassinate Charles II. This led to the Exclusionist Crisis, an attempt to bar the Catholic James from ever becoming King.

In an effort to ease tensions, Charles II sent his brother and Mary away from London, with them first going to Brussels and then Edinburgh for a few years, only returning to London for brief periods, such as when Charles got sick. In 1683, they enjoyed a boost in popularity after the Rye House Plot was discovered. The Rye House Plot had sought to assassinate both Charles II and James, which prompted many people to sympathise with them. Aware of this shift, Charles invited his brother and sister-in-law back to London. Charles II died in 1685, leaving no legitimate children. His brother was crowned James II and VII.

Since getting married, Mary had suffered several miscarriages, and all of her and James’s children had been stillborn or had died young. In 1688, she gave birth to a healthy son who was named James Francis Edward Stuart. James’s two daughters from his first marriage had been raised as Protestants, despite James’s own beliefs; because of this, Protestants had hoped that one of them would succeed their father. The new child became known by many as the “warming-pan Prince”, named so because of the rumour spread that Mary’s own child had been stillborn and swapped out for a random healthy baby. This, combined with a negative response to James’s policies, led to the Glorious Revolution, which resulted in James being deposed and him and Mary living in exile in France.

Louis XIV of France presented James and Mary with Château de-Saint-en-Layne, where they resided for the rest of their lives. Mary also spent a lot of time at Versailles, where she was well-liked. In 1692, she gave birth to a daughter, Louisa, who lived until 1712. The Jacobites referred to Mary as “The Queen Over the Water”.

In 1701, James VII & II died, and his young son succeeded him to the Jacobite claim. Mary, acting as regent, pushed for her son to be recognised as King. France, Spain, Modena and the Papal States acknowledged him, but in London he was declared a traitor. Though she wanted to promote his claim, she was against him being apart from her before he was of age. She acted as regent until her son turned sixteen.

Mary spent her later years assisting and visiting convents. She died of cancer at the age of fifty-nine. She was buried in the Convent of the Visitation at Chaillot, which was later destroyed during the French Revolution.

This went from me redrawing a screen shot to me figuring out Mr.Hyde lol

Which in turns means it's time to explain my brain process.

So I come from a family were addiction is like a huge thing. So I've kinda always imagined Edward as like......oddly seductive? If that makes sense. Like he's still a gross stinky man but he lures you to him in away. He's disgusting and unsettling but you can't look away. Not untill it's too late.

The 70's sorta vibe is more so just for a mixture of my person view of the 70's and some stories I've heard. Also the fact I just really like 70's fashion. Imagining Eddie on the dance floor is hilarious.

I'm still working him out but I had a lot of fun drawing him 💗💗💗

OC Introduction

Since this is an OC blog, I should probably introduce the OCs it's about. So here they are!

From left to right their names are: Henry Stevenson, Victor Shelley, Mary Robert, and Laura Le Fanu.

There's also another character named Edward, but I don't have a drawing of him. He's a rat.

Henry and Victor have known each other since highschool. Laura becomes Victor's girlfriend in college. And Mary is a mishmash of corpses brought to life with chemicals and electricity.

Fun facts about their names: Henry Stevenson's first name is taken from Henry Jekyll, and his last name is taken from Robert Louis Stevenson (the author of Jekyll and Hyde). Victor Shelley's first name is taken from Victor Frankenstein, and his last name is taken from Mary Shelley (the author of Frankenstein). Mary Robert's name is made up of the first names of the authors who wrote Frankenstein and Jekyll and Hyde. Laura Le Fanu's first name is taken from Laura in the book Carmilla, her last name is taken from Sheridan Le Fanu (the author of Carmilla). Edward's name was taken from Edward Hyde.

They're all in their early 20's and go to college together (excluding Mary and Edward). Henry is majoring in Chemistry, Victor in Engineering, and Laura in History.

The time period is the 1980's bc I like that aesthetic. Most of the story takes place in 1984.

Of all of them, Mary is the tallest at 6'3. Victor follows closely behind at 6'0. Henry is next with 5'6, and Laura is the shortest at 5'4. (technically Edward is the shortest but he's a rat)

Their story is inspired by the song Weird Science by Oingo Boingo. There's also clear inspiration from Frankenstein.

I could probably write so much more information about them all, but I feel this is long enough already. And so here are some close-ups!

If Anne-Marie by accident or by some random incident, drank the HJ7 formula then what would her “Hyde” be like? Also how would Henry and Edward react?

Woo boy, Anon, you have unleashed an idea that has been sprouting in my mind ever since I read @leonenjoyer69’s story about Elias. Also, hi Leon, hope you don’t mind the mention 🤣

If Anne-Marie drank the potion, it would definitely be on accident. Not sure how she would drink it in the first place, considering Jekyll drilled it in her head to not touch/drink chemicals by herself. Still need to figure that part out.

But for Anne-Marie’s Hyde, I actually thought about what she would be like. For clarity sake, I’m going to call the regular Anne-Marie, Anne-Marie, and the Hyde Anne-Marie, Anne. I have not thought of a name for her yet.

Not going to lie, it was a bit difficult trying to think what Anne could be like since Anne-Marie definitely isn’t the repressed mess like her father is. I mean, she’s still a kid! Sure, she can put on a facade of the perfect daughter of the gentleman, but that’s only for a few hours when she and Jekyll are at a social gathering. Everywhere else, Anne-Marie is free to be her blunt, sarcastic, curious, music-and-horror loving self. Sure, she has some things about herself she wants to ignore but I don’t think she’s reached the level of Jekyll at this stage of her life.

But then I thought about those things she wants to ignore, and I realized all of that can be Anne.

Here’s some context: Anne-Marie was born between an agreement with a wealthy Englishman who needed an heir for his family and an immigrant woman named Isabella who wanted to make it by on a new land. She was originally supposed to give the baby to him and be set with money but he blew her off when he realized the baby was girl — and because he’s also a huge slime ball.

So Isabella was left with a baby that she didn’t want. A fact she made known to Anne-Marie throughout the girl’s earlier childhood. She didn’t even give Anne-Marie a proper name, often calling her “Nothing” because that’s all she amounted to her. And Anne-Marie was quick to learn that she would never have her mother’s love.

Their relationship was awful. It got to a point that Isabella abandoned her to an orphanage when the girl was five. Sure, Anne-Marie had friends but one by one, she lost them to greedy Orphanage heads that gave them away to a horrible working place.

Anne-Marie still has her scars from that time. Ones that she tries to ignore because why should she? She has everything now; a wonderful father, a home, food, and being able to pursue her love of music and other interests. What does she have to worry about?

…Losing everything. Anne-Marie might put on a strong facade but she’s still a kid. A kid who is afraid to lose everything she has.

And that’s what Anne is. Anne is all of Anne-Marie’s childish fears brought worth. Not only is she physically younger than Anne-Marie, but she acts more childish as well. Anne is a bit of a crybaby, crying from either the transformations, the pain from her scars, or the fear of being unloved and unwanted again. While Anne-Marie understands that her father is busy and can’t spend every moment with her, Anne is desperate for her father’s time and hugs.

If you thought Anne-Marie was a koala bear before then you haven’t seen Anne.

Now is the time to mention that another way that HJ7 would affect her is that there’s no communicate between the alter egos. Whether it’s due to her young age, her own trauma, or the fact Anne-Marie is a little more honest with herself, Anne-Marie and Anne can’t appear when the other is in control. It’s like the other disappears as soon as the one in body takes control. This is because I like to think the HJ7 is like a truth serum to Anne-Marie, so she’s essentially the same person but is more open to her vulnerability.

That said, learning about that scared the absolute hell out of Jekyll and Hyde. The two had already felt guilty enough since they did caused the Chemical Accident, but not only that and she accidentally ingested the potion, but they may as well accidentally erased her from existence! Basically, the two thought they killed her. The two spent good while arguing before they realized that they can still get their daughter back.

Hyde absolutely does not know what to do with Anne. He’s used to riling Anne-Marie up and getting her mad until she’s all out of energy. He doesn’t know what to do when Anne starts crying! A lot of Hyde’s interactions with Anne boils down to nervous-first-time Dad energy before he begrudgingly accepts his fate as a tree for her kola climbing skills.

Jekyll is actually more equipped to deal with Anne because a lot of her behavior reminded him of Anne-Marie during her first weeks after the adoption. Granted, Anne was more a cryer but the constant need for cuddles is still the same. Jekyll is actually hit with the good ole parent nostalgia, since Anne is so small and he ends up crying over the fact his little girl had gotten so big. Hyde tells him to get it together.

That said, those two are even more protective because of it. Especially when they realized just how much Anne-Marie’s mother had left her with emotional scares.

Hyde: If I ever meet this woman, I’m stabbing her with an umbrella.

Jekyll: HYDE! We’re going to have a very LONG discussion with her on why Annie doesn’t want to see her, that’s it! No murder!

Hyde: Alright, fine! …Can I at least get to call her foul names?

Jekyll: …

Have fun finding them all ;) - The music box in the background is a gift from another well known gothic lit character.... - Luriana’s walking dress is a modern take on the natural form era dresses of the mid 1870s  - While they are not lit, the lights seen on the walls are gas powered. Gas powered lighting was a popular choice during the later 19th century because the lightbulb had not yet been marketed for widespread use at the time

The Count of London: A "The Glass Scientists" Au

Note: So I have recently gotten into the Glass Scientists comic because of my friend Eris introducing me to it a while back. I love the creator's inclusion and use of Victorian Era characters from literature as well as their own twists on them. I wondered sometime ago about how other literary characters would fit in the Glass Scientists universe. This is where this au and a few ocs of mine comes in. Especially one that is responsible for the au's creation. The au is a combination of elements from the Count of Monte Cristo and Sweeney Todd. Disclaimer: My oc and this au are my work. "The Glass Scientists" is a webcomic created by Sage Cotugno and their team. So the au takes place in an alternate universe before the Exhibition with some changes. 1. Frankenstein knows about Henry and Edward being the same person. 2. Robert and Henry are already a couple and had their talk before. 3. I made up oc names for Henry's parents. Donovan Jekyll and Catherine Jekyll. Catherine is deceased at the present of this au. A few other ocs I have made are important to the plot. Leopold Brighton, Maxwell Travis, and Jessica Moore who are important to the au. My central oc and the main antagonist of this au is Adrian Barton. Au Plot Henry Jekyll is getting ready for the upcoming exhibition. He feels he is on top of the world. The lodgers are willing to do the exhibition. He is also in a relationship now with Robert Lanyon. Things seem to be turning bright in his time. Sure there are reported cases of a few people going missing but nothing that concerns matters of the Society...right? Unfortunately things begin to grow more strange in Henry's life. Even more strange than what Edward Hyde brings through his nightly escapades. A new figure approaches the society, in the form of a high society figure named Lord Ezekiel Dalton. Out of the blue this man expresses interests in funding the society as a patron. Of course Henry and Robert both accept this man's funding. Yet certain people can't help but sense something...off about this new patron who suddenly came out of the blue.

Soon members of high society are being targeted and killed. Scotland Yard is baffled and becoming frustrated on finding the killer. A mysterious rogue known as the Iron Count appears and takes claim for the killings. They state that this is divine retribution for the corruption and greed high society has produced that have destroyed innocent lives. Dr. Jekyll begins to secretly investigate about this mysterious Iron Count and the reasons behind the killings. What Henry will soon learn that these murders go deeper than he realizes. That it all ties back to an injustice committed years ago, and a man that has connections to Victoria Frankenstein, Henry Jekyll, Edward Hyde, and Hastie Lanyon Sr. as well as a few other (oc) characters.

Who is Lord Ezekiel Dalton and where did he come from? What are his interests with the Society for Arcane Science and its founder Henry Jekyll? What is the Iron Count's ultimate plan? This and more will be found out in posts and stories for the "Count of London"

Have Quincey, Larry and Robert been friends for a long time? Or more specifically, I'm wondering, did they meet trough Hyde and Alice?

Or, if not and they've just known each other for a long time, is it weird that like, their friends mom also just happens to be good buddies with the murder they are hiding? (what a small world)

They met at school, all three live relatively close to each other and met as school children and even attend the same university together. Robert was aware of Edward but wasn't present when he joined the crew, he was very surprised to find out that Edward was even still in London at that point in time.
