~on the way back from a bountiful foraging trip~
There's so many good and yummy things fall brings, but my absolutely favorite thing are roasted chestnuts. Nothing beats burning your finger tips while impatiently peeling open hot chestnuts right off the wood burning stove. I have to wait a whole year just to have them a handful of times. Oh to be a tiny troll and dig into a chestnut as big as my head. 😋

My man....dalorian
So recently I read @ryehouses 's 'a simple thing' again and UGH. I love this fic SO MUCH. The characters, the characterization, the heart, the Mandalorian(s) of it all... I love it to pieces. One of my favorite parts is the meeting at Krownest where everyone gets blinded by the embodiment of Manda that is Din Djarin. King of my heart.
These drawings are technically not from those chapters, but inspired by them. I just think Din's pretty with blood on his face and also with snow on his eyelashes. That's all.
[Image Description: Two drawings of Din Djarin from the Mandalorian, inspired by a fanfiction called 'a simple thing'. The drawings are on a gray background and are just the bust. The first is Din smiling, open mouth with his eyebrows raised and a gleam in his eyes as he looks to the right. he has blood running from a cut on his forehead down to his chin as well as a bloody nose. He has blood on his teeth and a bruise on his cheek. He is enjoying himself despite the concussion. The second drawing is him turned to the side looking down in concentration, his eyebrows are furrowed, and his mouth is slightly open as he thinks. There are snowflakes in his hair, on his cloak and on his face. END ID]

What kind of love do you embody? - artwork analysis
So I made an artwork JUST for that one post and I wanted to break it down and explain a few things since it actually has meaning - for once lol.
Tumblr media
This is the artwork in its full glory. It shows Azar standing with her back turned to a light shining down on her, putting most of her figure and face in shadow. She is also fully naked which puts her scars on her back on full display.
Since she turned out to be "love as being known" I wanted to show just that. This is basically the depiction of the facade as well as her true inner self. The light highlights the scars - products of some of her lowest points and worst memories. Wounds caused by her aunt. They present the broken shards of the destroyed pottery. But as it makes the scars glow, it hides her face in the shadows. This symbolises her keeping her misery buried in her as deep as she can. We are unable to see her face, we do not know what expression she currently wears. Is it hurt? Fear, anger, sadness? Just like she does with her physical and metaphorical mask, the shadows hide her and dress her up in this fraud that is the White General/White Death. We are the people around her looking onto an icy wall. Designed to keep us away, using our natural instincts that make us fear the unknown in the dark. But if we would shine a little light, we could see her face and learn of that misery through her eyes. So fragile is that icy wall, a little fire, and it would melt, chasing away the shadows simultaneously.
