Someone sold me to the idea of Danya from Ziferblat x Lucio, and then I saw his Tiktoks and how sad he seemed because he wasn't there and this was born

Disclaimer - I adore Ziferblat, and their entry, but I don't know much about them, so if they seem a bit OOC, that's why. Forgive me! Also I found many ways to write Danya's name but I stuck with the one I liked the most! That's why you'll find it written in so many ways in the tags!

Spring. Beautiful spring, full of colors, flowers and the scent of freshly bloomed plants. Despite Ukraine being quite cold, the flowers still grew, and Daniil loved them. He kept dried flowers between book pages as a reminder of the beauty of the world. Even when snow covered the ground, there would always be a spring worth waiting for.

April. Spring in full swing. Spain is beautiful. The crowds are beautiful. It's tiring, the life of a musician, more when you're going to one of the most watched events worldwide and you have the pressure of holding the flag of your country high, knowing they're famous for having a place always secured in the final. But it's all worth it - friendships, kind people, the most beautiful gestures flow in nicely.

Lucio Corsi is an enigma Daniil was never able to decipher. Not that figuring out a person solely based by their music and almost inexistent social media presence was easy or accurate, anyway. But today, today's the chance. The chance to share music and talk to each other about old school idols, like Genesis or Peter Gabriel.

And yet, Lucio seemed to be even more beautiful without his makeup, dressed in his vintage clothes. He looked like some sort of rock and roll deity, an angel of music that inhabited old records and came to life after devoted prayers in the form of music. Despite his broken English, he seemed to get by perfectly. And Daniil would try to make things easier, as much as possible anyway.

Between cigarettes and laughs in one of the balconies, the night goes by. Lucio has chosen not to attend the party, and Daniil invents an excuse to stick by him. To sit beside his slender figure and listen to him play the guitar. The way he moves his hands is almost hypnotic. Lucio seems magical. Magnetic, even.

"You have good taste", the heavily Italian and broken English make the phrase sound even better. "And your song... Beautiful. I like. Like a lot."

"I like yours too", Daniil replies. "I think, you have a pretty good chance to win this whole thing."

"You think?" Lucio smiles wide, eyes beaming. "You exaggerating, come on. I come to show my talent. Not know if I can win but if... If... Cazzo, che parola è..." He mutters under his breath, trying to remember. "La gente..."

"People?"

"Uh, yes, thanks", he nods. "If people like what they hear, I'm good. If people like my music, I'm happy."

"You'll be very happy then, because people love your music and your message and all you represent", Daniil smiles too. "And, you know... I was waiting to meet you. Because you're one of my favorite contestants out there."

"Appreciate it. Very much. Thank you."

Daniil doesn't even know when his head ends up resting against Lucio's shoulder, but it seems he doesn't mind it. The both of them look up, at the clear night sky. A bright future is in store. No matter the results in Basel, this night is already a win in their books.

Lucio's got a very distinct smell. Cigarettes, a cologne he can't really identify, but has notes of wood and vanilla, and something else. Something that's indescribable. It feels like being home. And being so close, this mixture is enough to become a replacement for oxygen. A drug. A need. A want.

Would it be okay to want? To long for this?

...

But then Daniil opens his eyes.

And all of a sudden, he remembers where he truly is. A hotel room, empty, and illuminated by a single lamp. It's late, and he doesn't bother to check the time. Why would he? When he got under the sheets, he didn't want to check anyway. He just hoped for a miracle to happen and those don't require a specific timeframe.

But alas, miracles do not involve turning back time. They also don't involve changing everything to accommodate his wishes. And the world wouldn't stop just because one of his wishes didn't come true.

Lucio Corsi was absent.

He had been very excited about this encounter, planned the conversation in his head one and a thousand times, asked around the staff, and waited patiently, and what for? Just for life to have other plans. He hadn't realized just how much this had affected him until now, though, because waking up brought a wave of sadness that hit him in the back of the head strong enough to make him curl in the sheets and want to fall asleep again to pick up the dream right where he left off.

A knock on the door, and his brother enters his room, looking softer than usual when he sits on the bed. Seems like the continuation of the dream isn't happening any soon.

"Up already, Danya?" He asks, a bitter smile on his lips. "Still bummed about it?"

"I... I don't know, I just woke up", Daniil stretches his arms. The half lie slides out so easily it makes him want to be more honest. "Judging by the headache, I'd say I am."

"Man, I know how much you wanted this to happen. You've been talking my ear off about his song and meeting him today. I don't blame you."

"I know, Valya..." The singer looks out the balcony door, at the barely visible moon in the distance. A loud, dramatic sigh escapes his mouth. "Now it's just a waiting game until Basel... But I wonder if we'll even have the time..."

"Hey, anything can happen", his brother nods. "I'm sure things will eventually sort themselves out. But anyway... Do you wanna grab a bite? We have some time to spare."

"Hmm, guess so", Daniil sits up on the bed and stretches his neck, one side at a time. "I wonder... If he'll want to meet me, though..."

"Of course he would, come on", Valentyn pats his shoulder. "You're his number one fan, after all. I bet you were dreaming about him when you napped."

The singer feels blood rush to his cheeks at once. They're twins - there's nothing he can hide from him at this point.

"Ah, come on, Valya..."

"Hah! I'm still the superior twin, I can read your mind", he teased. "Now come on, Danya. You need to switch gears and I'm here to help you with good food. Let's go!"

As Daniil put his shoes on, he couldn't help but think back to his dream. He remembered the warmth, how it felt to lean against Lucio and how comfortable it all was. How would the dream have continued? Would he have mustered the courage to go further? To caress his hands, feel his skin, move closer?

To see if home was within Lucio's lips?

His heart started pounding with force at the thought. Maybe, just maybe, things were more than they seemed in the surface, but he still didn't know about it very well.

For now, all that was left was to hope the bird of pray, carrying his hopes and dreams, could reach Lucio safely in Basel.

That his feelings could wait just a little longer.

I'm gonna talk about some different scenarios that I feel like would happen between the two of them and idk if I can say some are chill but for them?? yeah it's chill LMAO... tw for domestic violence btw bc they can't have chill without a little violence

I think that they are definitely willing to share a bed, I mean especially after the apartment and everything, Vinnie would be ALOT more clingy without even thinking he is. He probably finds himself sleeping in habit's bed while Habit is gone, desperate for any kind of attention and when he opens his eyes, the fan is on, and he feels a warmth next to him and he looks over and there's habit. He's not looking at Vinnie or anything, he's too engrossed in the video game he's playing on the TV across from the bed. He's got the volume down just so he doesn't wake Vinnie. although habit would just say he didn't feel like turning up the volume because he refuses to admit he does anything for Vinnie.

Vinnie would definitely get embarrassed that habit is just there but Habit would honestly be thrilled over it. It just shows that his plan of getting Vinnie to rely on him is working. He'd even offer another controller to Vinnie if he wants to play and Vinnie would say no and he'd just lay there in silence watching habit's face as plays the game (most likely BioShock I feel), and they're cats are asleep at the end of the bed and Vinnie can't believe that he's actually found somewhere that he can exist without having to worry that he's gonna cause someone's death.

they both like their silence but they both hate feeling alone so I think them sharing a space with each other makes a lot of sense. They can't stand being out of each other's sight.

And I don't think that Vinnie would think of Evan either, sometimes he likes habit more than he's ever liked Evan and he hates to admit that to himself.

Vinnie definitely finds himself daydreaming about what him and habit are gonna do. He's so left out of Habit's plans he's probably making up the craziest scenarios and he'll even talk about them with habit and he'll just talk about how excited he is to one day do something super important with habit. He'll convince himself that Habit has only the best planned for him and that Habit cares for him so deeply that he gets physically violent because of all the love he has for him. it's twisted but so is Vinnie. He doesn't want normal, I mean he does, but not when he could be with someone as powerful as habit. And you just KNOW Vinnie is praising habit often when he's not being a smartass.

Say that just got done being in a massive fight. And by massive I definitely mean physical. Vinnie most likely brought up something about leaving habit or asked to go outside which pissed Habit off to the point of getting violent. Habit doesn't want Vinnie to even THINK about leaving him. he doesn't want Vinnie to believe that's an option, he wants Vinnie to stay with him no matter what, he can't risk losing him to anything or anyone, even himself sometimes, which is probably why he leaves the house often.

Habit wouldn't just slap Vinnie or anything he would grab him by the hair and drag him down the stairs while telling him all the awful things that would happen to him if he left the apartment, and Vinnie's kicking his feet and trying to fight back but he can't even bring himself to hurt habit in anyway so all he can do is try to pull away. Habit would tell him that slenderman would be there in an instant to rip him apart and ruin his life yet again if he stepped out those doors. or worse there would be monsters he's never even heard of before. Habit would tell him if he leaves Vinnie is just gonna kill more innocent people indirectly while tossing him against the door and telling him to just leave them if he's so sure he wants to leave so bad. Habit would be walking back up the stairs leaving Vinnie there, most likely with a black eye and bloody nose, he wouldn't look back because he knows he doesn't have to. Because Vinnie is already crawling back up the stairs saying he's so sorry, he's telling Habit that he never should've thought like that, he should've never brought it up to habit. He should've kept his mouth shut, can habit please forgive him? can he let him stay?

And of course he can stay. That's when habit changes, not really though. Habit would help Vinnie to his feet and he'd be shushing him telling him that he forgives Vinnie for his behavior. He would get all, "You know I'd never do this if you didn't deserve it." and "I'm only doing this to protect you, you wouldn't be able to survive out there alone. It's not safe for you." and he'd be so pleased about the fact Vinnie is just nodding along and even saying thank you. Habit would take him to the bathroom and he would go out of his way to be overly affectionate and caring with Vinnie now which obviously send Vinnies mind in circles. Vinnie just got done being dragged the stairs and now habit is cleaning his face, honestly he'd even wash Vinnie's hair if it would get him to rely on him more.

After Habit would make Vinnie dinner and they'd sit on the couch instead of at the dinner table and Habit would throw his arm around Vinnie and pass him the remote and tell him to pick whatever he wants and Vinnie would lean into it. Why wouldn't he? he's so desperate for affection, for any attention and there Habit is, giving it to him. He'd say he's sorry for earlier again, since Vinnie feels guilty for upsetting Habit and Habit would put his hand on Vinnie's face pushing his thumb against the bruise on vinnie's face a little and then moving his hand to vinnie's hair messing with it, all while saying, "It's okay, champ! we all make mistakes!" while just hours before this, habit had his hand in Vinnie's hair dragging him down the stairs. It wouldn't make Vinnie panic, infact it'd probably make him push aside everything that has happened and he'd be so grateful that habit is letting him stay.

They're definitely just all around way more affectionate with each other than they are violent. Habit would kiss (like those over dramatic sloppy ones that are disgusting. like you just hate it HELP. does this make sense. it's not even that romantic or anything habit just doesbit to be funny) all over vinnie's face just to see Vinnie get all flustered and wipe his face off because he thinks it's adorable. Habit can't be human, but he found someone who actually makes him feel like he is. Vinnie doesn't treat Habit like he's something he should fear, Vinnie truly sees habit as a partner and not a just a pawn to his next step and all habit has ever truly wanted is to be wanted. To not be alone. He wants company with him as he commits chaos.

Habit could come home after a rough week of annoying victims that barely satisfied him and he'll throw himself onto the couch into vinnie's waiting arms to complain about everything and anything and Vinnie would sit there and be on his side (with some light teasing), and habit just can't believe it. He's got something of his own for once. Vinnie chose HIM. Habit doesn't know how to be normal and he could never be normal and he would never be able to have a healthy relationship but I'd say his relationship with Vinnie is most likely the healthiest one he's EVER had. I mean canonically habit has never even broken any of Vinnie's bones.

He probably tells Vinnie that this is his favorite iteration of Vinnie too. He'd say shit like, "Y'know the old you's probably would've never let me get this close." and Vinnie would feel,,, almost special?? he would say shit like "Well it's a good thing I'm not them anymore, right? I like what we got going on." and habit would think about it for days.

I'd say that they've definitely just found some sort of peace and comfort with each other. Even though they have screaming matches and habit will get physical and even sometimes Vinnie will get physical back, (he is literally the definition of reactive abuse) and after they'll just sit on the couch together while habit holds a bag of peas against vinnie's fresh black eye and Vinnie would say he doesn't need to be babied and habit would tell him to stop being a baby then. they definitely watch a ton of movies and shows and Vinnie has to BEG for habit to let him watch what he wants to watch. habit will always say Vinnie picks the worst shit but every single time Vinnie turns something on habit is engrossed and obsessed with it. He'll even stand in front of the TV with his hands on his hips like a dad would and he'd ask questions 24/7 which Vinnie wouldn't mind answering because he loves to yap.

they both talk SO much they won't be able to shut up and they genuinely do get along on ALOT of stuff. Habit literally picked Vinnie because he has a good sense of humor. So you KNOW they're laughing over the worst shit known to man. Especially later on in the series where Vinnies been deeply effected by habit. I'm always so obsessed w how you can see habit's influence on Vinnie when he kills Evan. Like that's habits hard work paying off guys. he'd be so fucking proud.

Hi Ink!! I’m newer to the SMG4 fandom (less than a year) but man when I saw that you’re a theorist I’d (first of all) want to be your friend, tell you about my idea that the 2025 arc is going to be centering around Tari and Meggy as Puzzles undermines the Silence of the Cats; That, and my idea because Mr. Puzzles has so many plushies and popularity— that he’s going to get his own asset!! (knowing he’s the one who caused the old castle to get destroyed)

His own Puzzlevision Studio— it’d make sense won’t it!! Having his dimensionally sized set pieces for his grand adventures or something. I also imagine that maybe he’ll make Goomba Puzzles real— Blue Doofus’s AU, since it was in one of the episodes before to replace Leggy.

My third theory is that Puzzles will use his abilities more that I imagine he’d use from his songs, duplicating himself, changing his voice, and of course the brainwashing/puppet strings/simulations. Tying that— it’ll be a Tari centered arc (Maybe they’ll try to continue the western spaghetti feel and choose someone like Meggy’s rival the blue haired inkling— I havent watched that arc but I know her and Desti were important)

Makes me wonder what world Desti would want, her vengeance against Meggy and the smg4 crew. (My favorite characters rn are Shroomy and Mr. Puzzles, Luigi and Tari)

Yep, local theorist here, and I would love to hear you out on the theories you've got. Let's start with the first one about Meggy and Tari, shall we? I'm assuming that you mean the WOTFI 2025 arc, unless I'm completely wrong then please do correct me on that. It would be cool to have another arc with Meggy and Tari in the spotlight again, though I would throw in Mario in there just so it counts as a WOTFI (like yeah, apparently some judge for that smh). Let the girlies have another arc in general!!

Second, I think it's totally possible for Puzzles to have a whole "building" asset. After all, the mystery of the Showgrounds listing on Zillow is still ongoing and the fact that Puzzles was the one behind it, it has to mean something. As I always said, everything's going to come back full circle and it only makes sense that, if 4 had his Castle on the property Puzzles was involved with, then Puzzles is going to have his asset. Besides that, the previous instances had Puzzles hiding out in the woods/abandoned office building. This is the final stage (ngl it would be a good location for Puzzlevision Plus).

Third, Puzzles would definitely go all out with his abilities; there's simply so much potential in it. I mean, how can they not? It would raise the stakes for than ever for future stuff. And I would absolutely LOVE a Tari-centered arc, and I do believe I'm not the only one. Anyway, while I do want to say more, I don't want to accidentally spoil something you don't want to learn about rn, so totally recommend watching the arc first!!

momento mori MAP: the first Will Wood related thing I saw thanks to my brother. I remember seeing it and being like "Wow this is so okay." Not really one of my fav songs but still really good animation from everybody

Mr. Capgras: (oh my god this is my end) honestly in my top 3 favorite music videos (number 2 and 1 are even more sexual 😭 the karma music video ain't shit idgaf) I have dressed as Will from this video (the outfit when he looks like an auntie) and I will NOT be posting the photos BC y'know, underage. But just it matches the song's vibe so well and is incredibly visually interesting. Will's makeup is on point (as always) and him and his band's outfits (or lack of) also manage to fit the vibe of the song perfectly. I read an interview he did about the music video and had to look up like, ten words. Someone make this man an English teacher. Anyway, amazing video. Give Mario more screen time.

Dr Sunshine: somehow WAY more uncomfortable then Mr. Capgras. Once again, Will's makeup is great. There are so many goddamn colors I don't know if I love it or if I want the video banned because of it. White Noise: as somebody who's struggles with the topics this song speaks about, there really is no Will Wood song that affects me emotionally more than this one. Not Against the Kitchen Floor. Not Tomcat disposables. Hell, not even Euthanasia. This song in particular is so underappreciated and pushed aside instead of being recognised as an emotional, hard hitting, meaningful, lyrical masterpiece, and the video only adds to that. The symbolism from the excitement the people get over nothing makes so much sense after paying attention to the lyrics. Also holy shit he's bald again.

2012: the way his fans treat the topic of this song kinda is so weird. Like, he did so much drugs that he FORGOT A WHOLE FUCKING YEAR. and his fans are just like "haha funny I don't remember hehe" anyways this video for some reason is like Criminal by Fiona Apple if she took 12 edibles and believed in aliens. he looked you up and down as if he could read your thoughts before saying, “you don’t look in a very playful mood right now. what are you really here for?” he asked in a tone that made you feel pressured to tell the truth. you knew something was different about him, you just couldn’t tell what.

you sighed, giving in. “it helps me think sometimes, you know? i know it’s weird, don’t remind me, but it’s just calming for me.” you explained, looking at your sneakers the whole time.

he looked at you before surprisingly giving you a small, understanding smile.

“i get it, y’know. no one really gets me as much as you, a random stranger, has.” he nodded toward you, “maybe i should start having some thinking sessions here.”

you giggled and slowed your swinging, “maybe you should, it gets pretty lonely in a big place all by myself.” he playfully punched your shoulder before looking at what looked like a handmade watch before his eyes widened.

“bloody hell, nana’s gonna kill me!” he muttered under his breath before putting out his hand to shake. “until next time?” he offered, mouth turned up into a cheeky smile.

you took his hand gratefully. “lots more thinking to be done.” you giggled as he ran off into the neighborhood.

Okay so, Chonny Jash is a solo artist that does a lot of synth kinda music, mostly known for his Tally Hall covers. He did 27 of them, which are all in an album called "Chonnys Charming Chaos Compendium", which has its own story! The whole thing of it is Chonnys Mind, Heart, and Soul all fighting and trying to become whole again. Lots of Jekyll and Hyde references, hehe. But yeah, Heart and Mind are constantly fighting for control, while Soul watches until he finally snaps and threatens to kill them all if they don't recombine into Whole. When they do become Whole again, he ends up getting his heart broken by a girl and they all split again, so the whole album is a time loop!!! I really suggest you listen to it because it's very awesome, especially if you like electronic music at all.

BUT i was at a monster chetwynd exhibition the other day and part of the installation was a video of a performance done to a catchy folk song that got stuck in my head altho i didn't understand any of the lyrics. this tag gave me an opportunity to research what it was and turns out it's the maypole song (in the woods there grew a tree). nice to know, now i can sing along to the tune in my head😅

last book: omg it's even the wingless by mca hogarth. this woman has the Range! i'm so glad i happened to read the series in her peltedverse from the least to the most depraved lol i am Beyond Obsessed. it's a very niche sci fi court intrigue monsterfucking story that caters to what i personally want from fictional romance (backhanded banter, mind games, intricate rituals, blond man getting whumped etc). it's enemies to lovers, it's "i can fix him" - but it's also "he will make me worse and we'll meet somewhere in the middle". it's "what if there was a darkness inside me and i was required to unleash it and had to confront that it's a part of me - and both of us found it hot". and since the story follows an ambassador doubling as a spy it has all that delicious putting on a persona that you then struggle to take off shenanigans. i hesitate to rec it bc of all the noncon, however i do think it fits into the depraved fantasy booklr themes and kinks. so if you were entertained by lymond's bedchamber spy tactics in queens' play and were not put off by the sexual violence in captive prince book one and doctrine of labyrinths ig you can try it. but also you did not hear this from me lol

last movie: nosferatu. it was fine. when will we get a gay dracula adaptation tho

in between the late nights tavern hopping and the smell of bitter alcohol on his breath, you're completely infatuated with the bouncy bard. he's carefree, honouring the trait bestowed to mondstadt quite heavily - the one of freedom, that is. sometimes you consider whether being an alcoholic should be a mondstadt trait when you catch the cavalry captain and your boyfriend stumbling through the empty mondstadt streets some nights.

venti is a proud lover, he shows you off in complete pride every moment he can - starting with adding 'my' in front of every name he calls you, regardless of whether you're in public or not. his favourite is calling you his windblume, something that took a while to stick but now you're equally in love with it. when he's sober, venti can conjure up whimsical dates and breath-taking adventures to take you on but it only fuels your curiosity.

there isn't a chance in hell that venti is simply just some bard - especially one that likes to adventure 'occasionally' yet knows mondstadt's rolling hills and valleys like the back of his hand, never seemingly lost even if you definitely are. it's like there is a map of the country detailed in his mind, the possibility is still there that he is just hiding a map from you so he looks smart. no matter how much you think about it, you've never caught him with one though. you're actually convinced that perhaps the man hasn't touched one in his life.

that's why when you lay on a blanket beneath the lush leaves of windrise, watching the way the breeze makes them dance, you finally ask him.

"dear?" you look over to where venti is strumming at his beloved lyre, his fingers working nimbly on a tune as he raises his eyes to look at you, "what's your biggest secret?"

venti's face lights up with a smile as he presses a finger to his lips and winks. you groan, jutting your lower lip out in an attempt to convince him. the attempt is futile however, only convincing venti to place his lyre down gently and place a hand on your stomach instead.

"well, if i tell you, then it wouldn't be a secret." he isn't wrong but you can't help but feel defeated. venti hums, lowering himself to lay beside you as he presses a kiss to your cheek. he takes a moment to admire your side profile from where you're beginning to count stars as they appear. he suffocates in the sweet smell of the perfume he knows you get from jean when you visit the knights of favonius to see klee, it smells familiarly like oak and valberries.

he knows you're onto him about his true identity and while it pains him to hide it from you, his most precious lover - he just can't bring himself to tell you. he mourns the day that will eventually come when you leave his side, when he'll finally be alone again. he won't smell your perfume anymore or see the way your eyes fold into creases when you're taking klee for a walk in the whispering woods. a frown almost takes over his face but he's quick to shake it away, clearing his throat.

the sound startles you, your eyes finding his once more. he sends a cheeky grin your way, the one you adore so much even if sometimes it does mean he's up to no good. venti knows there is a sand timer, draining so slowly when he looks at you but he shakes the thought from his head as he presses his lips to yours. a smile grows on your face midway through the kiss and venti bathes in how much he must simply live in the moment with you.

Thank you so much for this ask!! I have a lot of headcanons for these two but after writing close to 150k words for this fic I'm not sure there are many I haven’t shared 😅 But there's a few that come to mind (mostly fluffy bc I love them):

- Every year Achilles makes a cake for Patroclus’s birthday. Every year, he fucks it up somehow. Either the frosting isn't right, or it doesn't cook all the way, or it deflates, or he forgets to get one ingredient or other. He has many talents but baking isn't one of them 🤣 And it's almost become kind of a tradition now so Achilles is always looking forward to Patroclus' reaction when he presents him his little fucked up cake. 

- They once tried to build a boat/raft from scraps and bits of wood they found in the garage and the fields. They started the project because a)they were bored, and b) Ajax told them that the Spercheios river goes all the way down to Athens (it doesn't). It took them two weeks to finish it and gather provisions etc for their voyage. They took it to the creek. It sank. Achilles cried for hours. It was wild

- I think this is obvious from the fic but as well as they get on with each other they do bicker quite a lot. Achilles can be deeply annoying and/or set in his ways, and Patroclus is also stubborn, in his own way. He is sometimes hesitant to try new things or might get a little sad and withdrawn or completely tune Achilles out, and Achilles just wants to shake him LOL. Also growing up Patroclus had to sometimes act as Achilles' impulse control, like "no we can't set this random pile of dried leaves by the side of the road on fire" or "no we won't ride to the beach at 3am on a winter Tuesday, we have class tomorrow" etc etc, but more often than not he is following Achilles in whatever dumb thing he's made up his mind to do, and then they bicker when it all goes south instead 🙃

- While they were in Phthia, they actually slept together almost every night whenever Peleus wasn't home. It wasn't romantic or anything at first, they just spent so much time together and in each other’s rooms that it didn't make sense to separate for sleep. Or sometimes they'd just fall asleep while talking/reading/watching films etc. Also like, with no parents or other caretakers in sight they were essentially each other’s source of comfort and affection and sometimes you just want to cuddle up with your bestie under a blanket and not do much else. ALSO also this isn't surprising bc the story deals quite a bit with toxic masculinity and internalised homophobia and how that affects Pat and Achilles, but I have a lot of thoughts about how the pressure to "man up" and "be tough" as they grew up really started to wear on them (especially Achilles), bc like what's wrong with crying or showing emotion or hugging your best friend or holding his hand or kissing him on the cheek! What's wrong with being soft and tender with the people you care about, what's wrong with any of it. So being able to come back home and have their safe space to vent and cry and be goofy and cuddle and not have to act a certain way around each other was such a lifesaver for them.

[Also I think their physical intimacy is something that's universal across every possible iteration of Patrochilles out there lol they're just super comfortable touching and hugging and kissing etc and I simply love how it might not even have sexual connotations a lot of the time, it's just something they do. They just like to glomp]

- I think this has been mentioned in the fic at some point, but Achilles often composes incredibly silly songs on the guitar or changes the lyrics to popular songs to tease Patroclus and Laika with. Often extremely early in the morning.

- Achilles has taught himself to knit and crochet as a result of a past hyperfixation over the span of a summer. The bright orange scarf he wears in Chapter 20 is one of his own creations, and Patroclus literally loves that thing. He teases him about it all the time. Achilles has made a few wonky beanies and mittens for Patroclus as well while he was practicing, they're very stylish (NOT lmao)
