As a choir kid myself, i had a funny ass thought that came to mind regarding Alfred unintentionally forcing the kids to join some sort of music elective.

When Dick sits down and asks Bruce for his thoughts on an elective Alfred casually goes “oh, i would love to go to your event/concert/play”

Dick hears this and chooses Theater. Alfred goes to EVERY play, Bruce only misses 2 plays because a villain is near by and he will not let them ruin his son’s play.

Jason, as much as he loves the classics, chooses some music elective. Because “I’m not Dick.” And even then Alfred makes it to every concert and Bruce also only misses a few meetings to deal with JLA stuff that he can’t miss.

Edit: Jason is a choir kid. He will not be like Dick, he will not do theater. But he loves musicals too much, so choir it is.

Unsure what the others would pick. But i feel like Damian would also choose Theater because “Richard will not stop saying i have to follow in his footsteps” even though he was going to pick that regardless. Because he in fact wants to follow in Dick’s footsteps and be a theater kid.

Edit: Damian gets more lead roles than Dick did. Dick is proud and not at all upset that Damian is a better actor.

The Best Red vs Blue Watch Order Guide Ever. Of All Time.

So. You want to watch Red vs Blue, huh? Maybe you read my long post about how it's so weirdly incredible yet impossible to recommend and now you want to give it a shot. Or maybe you have seen the show before, but it's been a long time and/or you didn't watch any of the mini-series or anything and want to give it another go. Either way, looking at a show with a 21 year history is kind of daunting, and you have no idea where to start.

Well luckily for you, I've done the work for you.

This watch guide will cover all 19 seasons of the main show, most of the mini-series, and some of the PSA's and other such bonus content. There will be links provided for where you can watch everything I talk about. This Google Drive (from reddit u/Exitity, unsure if they also have a tumblr) has all of the individual episode uploads, and most of the stuff I'm going to be talking about, although I'm trying to use YouTube links wherever I can. Any links will be colored in light blue for additional visibility.

Couple of quick things before we begin.

When possible, watch the individual episode uploads rather than the "complete" editions. The "Completes", while they may provide a more streamlined viewing experience by cutting out all of the bumpers and outros and such, accomplish this by cutting out a lot of jokes. RvB has a lot of jokes that happen during the fade to black at the end of an episode, and a lot of those get lost in the edits. There's also some things that just straight up get cut for seemingly no reason. Side note, the DvD/Blu-Ray versions seem perfectly fine, and honestly are even better to watch than the individual episodes if you have them. They're like a best of both worlds - adding some extra music and such (ESPECIALLY in the first 5 seasons) that really helps make a nice presentation of the show. If that's an option available to you, I recommend it. Otherwise, stick with the individual episodes.

At the end of each entry in the list, I may present a Side Quest section. This will include anything I feel you should watch that isn't necessarily canon, but helps add some extra life to the series. This may include some behind the scenes stuff or a selection of the PSA's and the non-canon mini-series. This stuff can be really great for building out the characters in a way that doesn't necessarily affect the greater story, and can especially be good for interactions between characters that maybe don't interact much in the main show. Anything I put in a Side Quest is strictly optional, but will add to your viewing experience. Obviously, there's a lot more bonus material than what I'm putting here. I'm just putting down some of the highlights. And if you end up liking the PSAs and such then just know: there's so much more for you to explore.

Early RvB is very much a product of it's time, and sometimes you'll get hit with a line that stops you dead in your tracks. Adult-oriented comedies can always be a minefield, and RVB's roots as a show made for Halo fans in 2003 definitely don't help. However, while this is the most common in the first five seasons, it never really stops being an issue. The purpose of this guide is simply for watch order, but if you have any specific trigger-related questions about any season of rvb please feel free to shoot me an ask or even a DM - i'm more than happy to help.

Okay, let's begin, breaking it down by arc.

The Blood Gulch Chronicles

You may hear people telling you to skip the first five seasons of the show and just pick up with Season 6. Those people are lying to you and do not have your best interests at heart. The first five seasons are pretty much strictly comedy, and from Season 6 onward the show starts to explore deeper themes and stories while still falling back on that comedic foundation. Skipping straight to the deeper stuff doesn't work very well IMO, because those five seasons are spent getting to know the characters we're going to be following for the rest of the show. The stuff that happens in Blood Gulch never stops being important - whether it's side characters showing back up again later on, or laying the foundation for a lot of the moments and story lines that make some of the later seasons so special.

RvB: Zero + Family Shatters

okay so here's the deal. If by this point, you're really just interested in the characters you've been watching for the past 17 seasons and not so much the story or anything - you may not get much from watching Zero. I do think it's interesting to watch, if only because I think it's got a lot of missed potential. Zero is not served well by being a season of RvB, I think I would have liked it a lot more if it were stand-alone, though that doesn't fix all of my issues with it. If you wanna jump straight to the series finale, you absolutely can. It's a pretty short watch, though, and I've heard that Family Shatters was better. I'll watch that one at some point.

I'm not doing this with an other season (though I do recommend going back and watching all the teasers and trailers at some point), but before you watch the finale you should watch The First Trailer For It. I think it sets up the season really well, and helps make some of the rushed set-up exposition in Restoration make a little bit more sense. honestly this should just be considered the first scene of the finale. Then watch the finale, and then you are done with all of the main show of Red VS Blue. Go forth, and be free.

i’ve been meaning to answer this one for a while so here’s how i painted miku in today’s post (put under the read more because yeah prepare for a long post

i’d also like to preface this by saying that i never follow a set way of doing things, so in terms of what my personal process is like, these are only broad strokes of what i do! sometimes i’ll combine or skip parts entirely, depending on how i feel. also, this is not a tutorial, just how i do things, so please don’t treat it like one :’D this will read like the ‘how to draw an owl’ picture if you do

first, like every artist, i sketch. more specifically, i’m getting an idea of what i want to paint later on. this could be how a scene is set up or in this case, how a character is posed. here i’m not concerned about details or getting everything perfectly, i’m only planning how the thing will be composed. maybe a lot of canvas size changing, or adjusting what miku’s doing (note how busted miku’s right hand looks from all the transforming!) however, i still have to be concerned with how clear the sketch will be to future me, because the sketch won’t be any good if i can’t read what miku’s doing

after that, i lay down a flat gray under the sketch, mainly focusing on giving miku a clear silhouette. this is also a good time to make adjustments to the composition on the fly if i suddenly feel like something can be improved upon, like shortening miku’s left arm from the sketch!

after painting a flat silhouette, i start shading in grayscale, focusing only on lighting. i usually do it in two passes, one for the lightest and darkest tones i’ll use (not black and white) and then a second for midtones to blend them better with the base gray but i forgot to screenshot the result of the first pass 🗿 nevertheless, here is where i can start adding some amount of details. i’m not including any extra accessories yet, just focusing on the base design of the outfit and the character herself (for anyone wanting to draw characters from That Gacha Game, this is how i personally make the process more bearable for myself.) i still use the dark gray to separate where certain details (like the facial features and fingers) begin and end, mainly to make colouring more bearable later.

now here’s where i get the Good Colours. it’s a cheat lol. i put a gradient map layer over the grayscale painting so that there’s a little bit of color to start. some gradient maps can be applied as is, some need the layer settings adjusted to make it look good. this one, for example, is a (free) gradient map set from the csp assets store that needs you to set the layer opacity to 20% and to set the blending mode to color to achieve this result. in general, i tend to pick which gradient map i want to use based on vibes, or basically whether i want the work to be warmer or cooler, colour-wise. but this does do quite a bit of lifting for the colors in my stuff.

and then, finally, i add the colours. i add flat base colours in an overlay layer. at this stage, i’ve made the character silhouette clear enough that i don’t need to refer to the sketch anymore for what miku looks like. also, the gradient map layer does its magic by making the shading a bit more vibrant than it would’ve been without it. after that i paint over with a new layer to add details like the lace.

and then i put some extra shading on top. basically this is where the ‘better lighting’ happens. again, this isn’t a tutorial, so i’m not here to say what each part of the lighting is, but i’ve labeled which layers do which job. in other works where the lighting within a scene is more defined (from a window, from a small crack in the walls, etc) the glow dodge layer may be more opaque and sharper, but since this isn’t a work with that, the lighting was applied using an airbrush. the linear burn layer is also there to make the whole thing darker so the glow dodge doesn’t end up oversaturating miku. i also usually match the lights to the vibe i want, and use a complementary color for the shadows. so here you can see i have warm colors on the glow dodge layer, but light purple on both the linear burn and multiply layer.

and that’s it for the character—here’s a gif showing how each layer adds to miku! (sorry it’s so toasty)

as for the background, depending on the complexity, it may go through a similar process, or if i can settle with flat image backgrounds, i just go for that. it’s ok to use external image materials. i didn’t have a background in mind for this miku in specific, so i got some default csp materials and threw together something

and that’s about a rough overview of what my process for more finished works looks like! again, art is a fluid process so i never specifically stick to certain steps all the time, and you shouldn’t either. i can probably answer why i’d pick this colour over another in one particular work, but it’s something that kinda has to be learned on a grander scale. i think everyone can already feel what colors work with what atmosphere or what setting, even if they can’t immediately explain why. colors and composition do take some level of experimentation to find what works best!

Hey! If you’re curious about Japanese cinema (particularly 1950s), there’s a lot of avenues to explore! Musicals, crime, horror, historical—it all depends on what mood you’re in. (Putting this under a read more because I'm DEFINITELY going to be long posting about this!!!) Hope this is useful to you lol.

(Also noting if anybody wants to add to this list with their own recommendations feel free!!)

With old school Japanese cinema, I’ll always recommend Akira Kurosawa (obviously). He’s made some of the best Japanese movies (and arguably, the best movies of all time imo) and I feel like his work is a good gateway. It’s readily available on physical media/streaming too.

Specifically ‘50s stuff; Hidden Fortress (1958) is a good adventure flick whose structure was swiped for Star Wars, Throne of Blood (1957) is Japanese Macbeth if you like Shakespeare, and if you don’t mind a longer movie Seven Samurai (1954) includes Toshiro Mifune acting like this;

Gotta admit, though—my personal favorites from Kurosawa don’t come from the 1950s; Drunken Angel (1948) and Yojimbo (1961). One has a pathetic gangster as the main lead, the other is just a solid, breezy proto-action film (also has my beloved Unosuke but that's besides the point)

Some personal favorites of mine from the 1950s:

Life of a Horse Trader (1951) is a bittersweet story about a man trying to be a good single father to his son in the backdrop of Hokkaido. He tends not to be great at it. Stars Toshiro Mifune, the most famous face of Japanese cinema and for good reason!

Conflagration/Enjo (1958) is a single Buddhist acolyte’s fall into quiet insanity. Raizo Ichikawa is another amazing actor who I love! Also includes Tatsuya Nakadai who is the GOAT (in my heart).

Godzilla (1954) is AMAZING! If you liked Gozilla Minus One, it took a lot of familiar cues from this movie. It also technically counts as horror, depending on your definition.

Japanese horror from the 1950s:

Ugetsu (1951) (Not one I’ve seen personally, but it’s on Criterion)

The Beast Shall Die (1958) (American Psycho, but in Showa Japan. Tatsuya Nakadai is terrifying in this and absolutely despicable—stylish movie tho!)

Ghost of Yotsuya (1959) (Old-school Japanese ghost story. Honestly, there are so many different versions of this story on film that you can pick which version to watch and go from there—I’m partial to the 1965 version myself, because of the rubber rats and Tatsuya Nakadai playing a crazy person).

The Lady Vampire (1959) is the OG western-style vampire movie from Japan. Plays around with the mythos a lot, but hey our Dracula looks like this;

Misc movies that I think are neat or good gateway movies:

The Samurai Trilogy by Hiroshi Inagaki, which stars Toshiro Mifune as Miyamoto Musashi. Found that people otherwise uninterested in Japanese cinema really enjoyed this!

You Can Succeed, Too (1964) is one of my favorites from the ‘60s, also directed by Eizō Sugawa. A fun satire on the corporate world that's super colorful with catchy songs.

The Sword of Doom (1966) is also another favorite of mine, starring my beloved Tatsuya Nakadai as another bastard man (seriously though Ryunosuke is FASCINATING to me--). Fun gore effects and action scenes!

Kwaidan (1964) is an anthology of Japanese folk tales, labeled a horror film but in that kinda sorta old-school way. Beautifully shot by my favorite Japanese director Masaki Kobayashi (who, if you like this you should seriously check out his other work!)

description: so it turns out all these years, the fem frame version of the intergalactic overlay was a little different from the masc frame and i never noticed. so i made a little add on edited version of the fem frame overlay so it fits the masc frame.

its available in all the original colors. theres 2 versions of each color though, since there were slightly different leg opacities for the masc and fem versions and i couldnt decide which one to go with. they are very minuscule differences, the shoulder spots are really the main event.

feel free to recolor this in other palettes, id appreciate it actually. took a lot of fiddling to get those spots to line up right, please! please use my edit and make recolors!

this shows up in cas (for m frame only, theres no point for f frame, they already have it) as a separate cas part. the thumbnail is the same as the original, except i slapped the word 'EDITED' over top in big red letters. hopefully you will see it.

changed the category to acne. there's two packages of these horns, i think the textures are ever so slightly different between them, but its negligible. I'd recommend the ssspringrollHornsEditedForMyBoy.package version, if you don't want to grab both (which you can, they appear as two separate cas parts)

Clanmew Masterpost

Clanmew is a constructed language made for Warrior Cats that I, @bonefall, run with my buddy @troutfur! I make the vocab and he does the grammar. I hope that this post will become a good, central place to keep links to everything we've done so far.

CURRENT VERSION: 1.0 LAST UPDATE: 6/3/2023

Clanmew is an OSV-order language, made with the sounds cats make in mind. "Base Clanmew" is built around the Clan Culture updates of the Better Bones AU, which means it is made with the ecology of southwestern Northern England in mind and only contains words for plants and animals found there. It also has phrases for cooking and crafting.

(specific regions modeled: Lancashire, Chester, Manchester, Merseyside, Clwydd is modeled for river biomes specifically)

You are free to use it for your own projects! We encourage you to consider how this language would evolve in your Clan's history, and add or remove words to make a dialect that reflects the culture's feelings and needs.

hi! i'm still working on some intro posts for my other drs, but i wanted to post this in the meantime. the questions are from zaddizu's post, and the format is also slightly inspired by rrezshifts' post!

what's your name? my name is anders alden, but most people just call me andy.

who are you? i'm a musician, a bass player, an aspiring novelist.

favorite food? that's... a tough one. i like a lot simple stuff—turkey and cheese sandwiches, potato soup, pasta, that sort of thing. if i had to pick one favorite, hmm, i guess i'd say... pasta? specifically, spaghetti with this five-cheese sauce. there was this italian restaurant my parents would take us for special occasions, and nine times out of ten, i'd order that. you could add meatballs, but i never would 'cause it cost extra.

if you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, what would it be? hmm, probably star wars: a new hope? it's not my favorite movie of all time, but it's definitely something i could watch over and over. david also likes it a lot.

when's your birthday? halloween. birthdate? october 31, 1952.

what is a song you will always have a place for in your heart? make your own kind of music by cass elliot. i first listened to it my junior year of high school and asked my parents' to buy me the album for christmas. i listened to that album religiously in college and that song in particular is beautiful. i love cass elliot.

favorite color, go! umm... like a red-orange color? it's difficult to pick just one!

name the most important thing to you. well, okay, god, how deep do i want to be, um...? there are a lot of important things to me, but i guess, i'd have to say music? i don't think i could live without it, and i owe a lot of things to it—my career, meeting many of my friends, the love of my life... music is... incredibly freeing, cathartic. it allows me to escape myself and just... be.

favorite memory? well, there are a lot to choose from, but i'll go with this one. september of 1972, it was second year in college and i somehow got in possession of some tickets to a bowie show in New York City. i had convinced my uncle to drive us down, so it was me, drew, and catherine squished in the backseat of his ford. it was the first time i had ever been to New York City that wasn't for some school trip.

least favorite memory? off the top of my head? i can't stop thinking about, uh... last week. i was asleep, lying on my bed, the one with just the mattress, no bed frame, on the floor. suddenly, i feel something, a light sensation on my hand, then my face. i stir, cracking one eye open, and i'm met face-to-face with this... this rat! or just a really big mouse, i don't know. it was sniffing me, probably curious or hungry, or both, and i just scream. of course, it runs away, somewhere where i'd never see it again, but i've also woken up everyone else.

david woke with a start. "what—? what happened? are you okay?" in the dark, he stared at me from his mattress, "the pit" as he called, brown eyes wide and concerned.

then, i heard chris' voice and the pitter patter of feet against the floor. "what in the world is goin' on?"

i explained what happened, the heat of embarrassment already creeping up my neck, and really, all they could do was laugh. worse things had already happened at the loft, and screaming about some mouse? that was just ridiculous.

it's probably not my least favorite memory of all time, but, god, i hate thinking about it.

someone you dislike? someone famous? johnny ramone. from the ramones. if you know, you know.

in a crowded room, who would you look for first? ... david.

best music genre? so i really like folk and funk, but i would really have to say rock. and yeah... i might be biased, but so what?

picture your room, is it organized or messy? majority of the time? it's messy. but it's not like i don't try to keep it organized. i mean, part of the problem is who i'm sharing the space with. he's also messy. don't tell him i'm saying this.

gun to your head... are you funny? i'm going to say... yes. i'm funny, in my own weird, awkward way. i make my favorite people laugh so shut up. that's all who matters to me.

fruit platter or candy platter? fruit platter, hands down. i have a sweet tooth, for sure, but just thinking about a whole candy platter makes me feel sick.

sugar, sour or spice? sugar, yeah. still, i don't like overly sweet stuff.

ambivert, introvert, or extravert? i suppose, i'm an ambivert? that, or i'm just an introvert who's really good at pretending to be an extrovert.

best school subject? english, for sure. i mean, i have a degree in the subject, so i would hope so.

where can someone find you when you're sad? mmm, depending on the situation, probably in my own space, doesn't have to be my room—well, if i had one. i just need somewhere quiet to curl up and listen to music, the radio. it's easier to cry when no one else is there to watch and judge you.

sometimes, i will go on walks to try to clear my head. the city provides a lot of background noise, stuff to distract me. if one of my friends are available, david, chris, tina, danny, the like, i might go to them and talk it out. i might even give some of my long-distance friends a call.

who was your first love? do you regret it? okay, well, this answer depends on how you define love. i've had plenty of crushes, but personally, i don't think i ever loved them. i went on a few dates in high school, dated a girl, liked her a lot, but i'm not sure if i was in love with her.

the only person that i can think of that i might have loved (romantically) is liz. she and i dated in college. i don't think i regret it. i only wish it could have lasted longer.

favorite instrument? double bass, string bass, upright bass, whatever you call it. it was the second instrument i learned and for the longest time, was what i played the most consistently. it's also an incredibly versatile instrument—orchestral arrangements, jazz, blues, bluegrass, rock, folk, country, you name it.

do you preform live? yes, that's where we [talking heads] got our start, just playing live at small music clubs.

what's your favorite song you made? probably, pulled up? i mean, most of our songs are collaborative efforts. david will write the lyrics and we'll come up with the arrangement together. so, it counts. but, anyway, yeah, this song is fast-paced, fun to play.

Being on the ground was the best thing to happen to us. We were free from the Ark and I couldn’t be more excited. Being back on Earth was a million times better than being in the Skybox. I was finally able to be with my boyfriend and friends again. Jasper and Monty were a bit popular considering they made some pretty awesome alcohol. I was just another face in the crowd compared to them, but I didn’t mind. 

It was currently Fall and the air was starting to get chilly. We were all in long sleeves and jackets to keep warm. Everyone was huddled up the fire a lot more than normal. I didn’t mind the cold, I mean we lived in space for years and it could get really cold up their sometimes. Since it was Fall, I wanted to explore the forest a bit. I read that the people that lived on Earth before it was destroyed for years to come, ate some stuff they found in the forest. I heard they had mushrooms that that could get you high! I really wanted to try one and see how it works, so I ran over to Jasper. 

“Jas! I need you to come with me.” I said with a smile. 

“Why? What’s wrong?” He asked concerned. 

“Nothing’s wrong, just come on.” I said and started dragging him to the back of the dropship. 

“What are we doing, baby?” He asked. 

“We’re going into the forest, I wanna look for something.” I said and his eyes widened. 

“You wanna leave the safety of camp just so you can look for something?” He asked and I sighed. 

“We’ll still be safe, we won’t go too far.” I said and he frowned. 

“Y/N, baby, I really don’t think we should…” He said and I groaned. 

“Please, Jas! I promise everything will be okay.” I said with a pout. I gave him my best puppy-dog eyes and he sighed. 

“Fine, no more than ten minutes.” He said and I smiled brightly. 

“Deal!” I said and dragged him into the forest. We walked a bit in and I kept my eyes on the ground. That’s when I saw them. I ran over to them and dropped to my knees. I picked up the small brown mushrooms with a huge smile. 

“Jas, I found them!” I said as I stood up. I turned to face him and he gave me a ‘really?’ look. 

“We came out here for some mushrooms?” He asked. 

“I read these can get you high.” I said and he looked at me warily. 

“I think you can do them yourself, I don’t know if I trust them…” He said and I shrugged. 

“Suit yourself.” I said and popped one into my mouth. My face scrunched up from the taste, but I managed to get it down. 

“Come on, we’re going back before you get too high.” He said, grabbing my hand. I placed the other ones I picked into my pocket incase I needed more. We snuck back into camp and I started to feel floaty. The colors were getting brighter and everything looked beautiful. I looked over at Jasper and he looked like he was glowing. 

“Whoa… you look so pretty.” I smiled. He chuckled and shook his head. 

“What do you see?” He asked and I smiled. 

“The colors are so bright and you’re glowing!” I giggled. He smiled at me and led me over to Monty, he was also glowing. Jasper sat us down next to him and Monty gave me a weird look. 

“Why do you look high?” He asked and I just smiled. 

“She had us sneak out of camp to go look for these mushrooms that get you high.” Jasper answered. 

“Really? You ate some random mushroom? Are you even sure it was the right one?” He asked and I nodded. 

“Yeah! All the colors are bright and you guys are glowing, that sound like a high to me.” I said and he shook his head. 

“You know trips like that can turn bad, right?” He said and I just shrugged. 

“How bad can something like this get? I mean it’s making everything so beautiful.” I answered and he just sighed. 

An hour or so later I was still high as a kite. Anything that moved left trails behind them, and if I closed my eyes I could see colors and shapes melding together. I felt so relaxed thanks to Monty and Jasper. Their jokes were making me laugh harder than they normally would. I noticed Jasper had a smile on his face as he looked at me. I was resting my head on his shoulder and sighed with my eyes still closed. 

“How you doing baby?” He asked and I opened my eyes and smiled at him. 

“Goood.” I whispered and he kissed my forehead. 

“Do you know how long the high lasts?” Monty asked and I shrugged. 

“You don’t know?” Jasper asked with wide eyes. 

“Nope.” I said, popping the p. 

“That’s not good… if Clarke or Bellamy see her like this they’re gonna flip.” Monty said and I giggled. 

Another hour pasted and things started getting weird. The colors were starting to melt along with whatever was around us. I felt my heart start beating faster and my breathing picking up a bit. The sounds were getting louder and I covered my ears as I closed my eyes. 

“Y/N? Hey, are you okay?” Jaspered asked with a concerned tone. I shook my head and shut my eyes tighter. The colors continued to melt and everything felt so overwhelming. 

“Baby, hey, look at me.” Jasper said as he pulled my hands away from my head. I shook my head again, but he gently cupped my cheek. 

“Look at me, Y/N.” He said. I slowly opened my eyes and Jasper was melting. I gasped and tried to back away, but Jasper was holding me in place. 

“It’s okay baby, you’re okay.” He said. I shook my head and felt tears falling down my face. 

“Talk to me baby, tell me what’s wrong.” He said. 

“E-Everything’s melting…” I whispered. His eyes widened and he looked over to Monty for help. 

“Take her to your tent, maybe if she’s alone with just you it’ll calm her down.” He said and he nodded. Jasper helped me up and quickly led me to our tent. He sat me on our makeshift bed and held my hands in his still. Everything sounded a little quieter, but things were still melting. 

“Okay, close your eyes and take a deep breath.” He whispered. I did as he asked and gripped his hands a little tighter. 

“Just focus on my voice and try and relax.” He said. I nodded slowly and took another deep breath. 

“You know that place up on the Ark that you love? That abandoned office you found?” He asked and I nodded. 

“Picture that with your music playing in the background. No one can get to you there.” He said and I started picturing it. Everything was slowly swirling to a stop, but things in the room were still swaying slightly. 

“Ha-ah-ah-ah, meet me there, Ha-ah-ah-ah, meet me there, Ah-ah, me there, Ha-ah-ah-ah, meet me there. Ha-hallelujah, oh I’m down on the beach, Ha-hallelujah, oh I’m down on the beach, Ha-ah-ah-ah hallelujah, oh, I’m down on the beach, Ha-hallelujah, oh I’m down on the beach.” Jasper sang one of my favorite songs quietly. I felt myself relaxing slowly as he sang to me. I started leaning against Jasper and he wrapped his arms around me. 

“How are you feeling?” He whispered and I smiled up at him. 

“Way better.” I whispered back. 

“Are things still melting?” He asked and I shook my head. 

“No, but the colors are still bright and leaving some trails if I move my head too fast.” I answered. 

“That’s good. Maybe you should go to sleep.” He suggested and I nodded. 

“That sounds like a good idea.” I agreed. He pulled me down on the bed and held me to him. 

“You’re not eating anymore of those.” He said and I pouted. 

“But-” 

“No, I’m not watching you go through that again. This better wear off when you wake up.” He said and I sighed. 

“Okay…” I mumbled. He kissed the top of my head and held me closer.

D&D Cartoon Characters As MTG Cards

Was it the D&DBeyond free adventure where the carton kids were the pregens? to coincide with the new Players Handbook? Was it a Brazillian car commercial that stirred a long dormant foreign fandom? Was it my friend @bubblytarts slowly being dragged into Magic the Gathering kicking and screaming? In any case. I decided to try and think what legendary creatures from throughout Magic The Gathering you could Secret Lair style reskin for the kids from the Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon! All of them are going to be legendary creatures who can pilot their own deck. Join me!

Starting with Sheila!

Sheila the party rogue could of course turn invisible via her cloak. So Etrata, Deadly Fugitive working with cloak to turn creatures face down while also caring about assassins (a rogue subclass) was peak. It had to be done!

Next is Presto!

Presto having the random item hat could have been Delina Wild Mage, but consider. Using Averna to build a cascading shell into wild cards and having Delina in the 99. Also pair with Flamekin Herald (who you could make Varla from the one episode) and give the commander cascade!

Next is Bobby!

For Bobby the Barbarian my thought was Maarika (who yes I know was first Zangief but shhh). The fact excess damage is turned into breaking stuff feels perfect for the club he gets and you can put the Secret Lair Crash Through for Uni in the deck to get double duty of the excess.

Next is Diana!

Diana I wanted to make a monk proper because like. Yes her title is acrobat but... ya know. And that led me to Prowess and Narset, Enlightened Exile! You can make the exile aspect into being on another world, but honestly I think any prowess commander can do here!

Next is Eric!

For Eric. I admittedly struggled a bit, BUT I ran into Jared Carthalion, True Heir. The Monarch mechanic feels right for an Eric card to play into. Several episodes of the show temporarily tempt Eric with or properly give him power and authority over the others, like the time he became Dungeon Master for a day. And the ever changing head of the monarch works very well for that. Added to the fact that while you are the monarch nothing hits you is perfect for the shield!

Next is Hank!

For Hank I was gonna do the ranger aesthetic, but more than class, Hank is "team leader boy." SO I went with Tazri, Beacon of Unity. Cuz a 5 color commander that can bring out the party is perfect, caring about the card types that mirror the titles they were given, and also it cares about the party mechanic and gathering the gang and their allies. Something well within the purview of a good team leader!

Finally Venger!

For Venger affinity for artifacts is the funniest mechanic to give the bbeg who spent the whole ass show chasing after 6 or so magic items. The fact that Rakdos also lets you bring in Beholders, Goblinoids, Slaad, Giants and other classic D&D Monsters from both the Adventures in the Forgotten Realms and Battle for Baldur's Gate. Things like Asmodeus, Acererak, and even more villainous icons of the Realm along with powerful artifacts!

Psych! Doing one more for Niko!

Niko is from Stormwreck Isle and then the adventure of Uni and the Hunt for the Lost Horn. Designed mostly to ensure there was a healer class for mechanic reasons all we have about Niko is a throw away line about being "new to the D&D multiverse". so how do I use that?..

SIMPLE. So I hear "New to the multiverse" and I think "Flip Walker" showing a newly sparked planeswalker! So. Looking through the existing Flip Walkers I settled on Tamiyo! Focusing less on dealing damage and more about protecting other planeswalkers and gaining informational advantage seems like the kind of thing someone new to the multiverse would focus on. Plus caring about spells when they flip into a planeswalker adds to them being a caster class. It's kind of a stretch but hey. I had so very little to work with.

And with that. For real. I am finally done!

Zoro entered the boys' room. It was late but still earlier than his usual time. When he placed his swords on the coach, he noticed a new extra large hammock strung up. Sanji lay curled up inside. It was safe to assume that this was the surprise waiting for him that Sanji had mentioned during dishes. Zoro slid off his shoes, shirt, and pants, leaving his boxers on before sliding into the hammock next to his boyfriend. He pressed Sanji's slimmer body against his own, his head tucked under his chin, the other man's long legs trapped his own snuggling closer. Zoro could get used to this.

When he woke, Sanji was gone, only Luffy's snores to keep him company, Usopp was on watch last night. Zoro grabbed the clothes he had on yesterday and grabbed his swords from the coach. He went straight for the kitchen, and he paused to look inside before he opened the door the rest of the way. Sanji left it open a cack so Mr. Noodles could come and go as he pleased. He was sitting at the table, a cup of tea by his side, a small plate with half a pice of toast with red jam on top, a cigarette in one hand and his pen in the other. His blond hair with it slight curls glowing in the morning light. Zoro opened the door and made his way inside.

“While in town I picked up a pack of colored notebooks to keep records on food prenceses for everyone, right now I'm just transferring the info I already have,” Sanji explained taking a sip of his tea. “Did you want tea or toast before bakefast? I made Rose Jam form the roses you got me."

“Nah, what's for breakfast anyway?”

“Soufflé pancakes and okonomiyaki for you, of course lots of meat for Luffy,”

“Okonomiyaki? I haven't had that in years, thire was a street cart that used to make the best okonomiyaki I had some when I said my goodbyes before I left,” Zoro had spent hours at Kuinas grave knowing he wouldn't see her again until he achieved his goal.

“Zoro, we need to talk,” Zoro sat up, that did not sound good. But he couldn't think of anything that could be worng. He knew he was new to realships but he couldn't have fucked up that badly alredy…the crows nest incident not withstanding. “About sex, we shuld have talked before and more. I really don't want anthoer crows nest cry to happen,”

“Oh…OK? What do we need to talk about? It's just sex?”

“It stopped being just sex when you started spanking me, let alone edging, tieing me up and me choking you with my thighs,” Sanji listed off his cigarette bobbing while he spoke.

“Yah, I guess you've got a point,”

“So I'm no expert, but I know a few things about this, we already talked a bit about what we don't like, I guess add degadison to the list. “But I did pinch you, and I didn't pass out,” Zoro pointed out. “But I suppose your right,”

“So I was thinking maybe write down some hard and soft limits to start with maybe stuff you wish to try, like for me a hard limit is the head and face coverings, soft is the gags. I don't like them, but well, we do live in a shared space, so they might be necessary,” Sanji handed him the feathered pen and some paper. “I need to start breakfast, so how about we talk again after dinner,” Sanji gave him a kiss before heading to the fridge, taking his dishes with him

Zoro shoved the papper and the pen in his Haramaki and escaped to the crows nest. Once thire, he took one of his weights and got to work. As he got into the rhythm, he thought about what they had discussed. He had to think back on his prior experience about what he did and did not like.

He honestly didn't like being called Master/Slave/Daddy/Sir he didnt like saying it, ethior. It was just weird to him. Zoro honestly never had thought about this before, but for his Love-Cook, he'd give it ago.

The Hazbin Hotel consisted of Chalie ( the owner ), Alastor, Husk, angel, and a few others to help run it. The hotel had many responsibilities, and everyone had to pitch in their part to help. However, there was a little bit of an exception for one of the helpers and that was angel dust. See Angel dust was an age regressor, particularly a baby and toddler one depending on the day, so this means that sometimes it can be hard for little angel to help around even though he wants to. However, his Caregiver! Husk thought of a great way to help with this!  

Husk got angel a sticker chart so when he is in his toddler headspace or a little bit up he can not only help around but feel happy and helpful when he dose! Some of the chores that tiny angel had to do were pick up toys or things that gets left out and put them away, sweep the floor ( he usually needs help with this- ), set the table, etc  

On this particular day angel was in his toddler headspace, His caregiver husk had asked him to pick up his toys and put them away so he could add a sticker to his chart. Angel happily agreed to do this, so he went to his room and began to start. He cleaned up his blocks, organized his stuffies, and put his coloring books away until he noticed that he had one of his plates and a empty cup in his room. He must have forgotten to take his stuff back out so once he was done he grabbed the plate and cup and headed to the kitchen.  

However, there was something in the kitchen that tiny angel did not know about and that is nifty had just mopped the floor, and when angel went to go to put the stuff in the sink... *thud*.  Angel had slipped and fell right on the tile floor, and within the few seconds of him falling he had tears running down his face as he started to cry. Husk had heard the thud and quickly rushed into the kitchen and saw his baby on the floor “hey hey baby... calm down... take a few deep breaths for me ok...?” husk said in a soft tone. Angel nodded softly as he slowly started to take some deep breaths, beginning to calm down.  

Once angel had calmed down husk picked angel up and put him on the counter “what happened baby..?” he said as he put a hand on angels cheek and rubbed  it with his thumb. “I-i was cleaning the playroom like you asked..a-and i saw a cup and plate there from m snack... s-so i went to bring it down here...a-an i fell....” he said.   

“Aww you poor thing... Can you show papa where it hurts...” he said softly. Angel pointed to his knee, which led to husk to kiss his boo boo “there you go pumpkin... all better...” he said.

Angel looked at him “Papa since i cleaned up m room can i get a stickers....”he said softly. Husk smiled softly and nodded “ok course honey..” he said as he opened the drawer beside him and held out a few different sets of sticks. “Go ahead and pick one” husk said.  

Angel looked threw the stickers until he choose a pink shiny sticker. Husk smiled as he went and picked angel up and put him on the floor “Ok baby go ahead and put it on the chart” he said. Angel smiled as he carefully walked over to the fridge and put it on his chart. Husk smiled as he looked at him “hey buddy do you wanna hangout with papa while he has some free time?”  

Angel smiled happily as husk picked him up and carried him over to the couch and laid down against the side of it as he laid angel down on his chest. Angel smiled as he curled up into his chest, Husk grabbed the blanket that was hanging off the couch and put it on the two of them. Within minutes charlie had walked out to see the two of them both peacefully asleep, a smile appeared on her face as she left them be to rest.

I’m in Australia right now, it’s cold and rainy and miserable, I have no idea how I’m meant to solarpunk it up, do you have any tips? 😭

Ooh, hello!

I can definitely see how coming up with ways to solarpunk in the cold and rain would be hard. It definitely feels like there's not much to do, but hopefully I've got some ideas that can help inspire you!

First, maybe you can try to bring warmth and light to your indoor spaces! Cozy up the place with some solarpunk-inspired decor, see if you can brighten things up. Maybe have a get together! Community is totally solarpunk!

I'm not sure how easy all of this is to obtain, but I've seen people paint streets with a type of paint that reveals itself when it comes into contact with water? I think it might be hydrochromic paint? I'm honestly not sure how easy that stuff is to obtain, but it could be fun to get some and paint a fun design on a driveway or the likes to add color to rainy days!

If it's a wet season, it's probably a good time to plan a garden! You did mention it's cold there right now (I think it's fall or winter in Australia right now? maybe?) so it might not be the best time for getting plants in the ground, but drawing up a garden plan is 110% a fun way to solarpunk during the winter! Plus, having a plan can help make things a lot easier in spring. Reading up/watching videos on native plants and other cool ways to support wildlife (building fountains, bird/bathouses, mini ponds, etc are what I've been up to in the states) and sharing that information with others can also be fun!

Speaking of! You could make a cool rain barrel to harvest some of that funky fresh rain water! I've seen some with aquatic plants planted into the top, which could make it an even more fun project! (I know it's not legal in some of the states but I'm not sure how the rain barrel vibe is in Australia so definitely do some research).

While you're inside avoiding the cold and rain, it could also be an excellent time to pick up a craft or learn a new skill! Drawing, painting, and writing are all pretty chill things you can do indoors, and if you decide to do some solarpunk-themed works you can share them during the week! It could also be a wonderful time to pick up a fiber craft like sewing, knitting, or crochet! I picked up crocheting during a time when there wasn't much to do in the garden, and it kept me pretty entertained! There's lots of resources on learning how to do these things on YouTube and various other websites, you've just gotta find what interests you and start there!

Last but not least, you could find some solarpunky books to read, or watch solarpunky shows or movies or even just some YouTube videos! Maybe you'll find some other form of inspiration for something to do while it's raining, or when things brighten up, and you can definitely post reviews on what you read/watched and let us know what you think!

I don’t know how to put this but do you have any tips for learning to see eroticism in art?

I think it really depends on the art!

My overall suggestion is to, in some way, isolate yourself with it. A lot of us don't let ourselves feel our feelings, not really. Have you ever noticed how often you look at art and just glaze over it? You watch a show and it's just a story you kinda watch?

I'd challenge you to focus on the art and the art alone for a moment, let go of any control of your emotions, just let it wash over you. You're feeling things about this art, let yourself. Don't fight it.

A good way to facilitate this is to pay attention to the details. What I did with my review of Closer by Nine Inch Nails or my upcoming review of Talk by Hozier is I just closed my eyes and tried to pick out how it sounded. I didn't idly listen, I actively tried to notice how it sounded, how I felt about it.

It may have to do with my specific brain, but when I do that, I can just feel emotions well up inside of me.

For visual art, what textures are there, what might that feel like under your hands? Your lips? How do the colors make you feel? What does it make you think of?

If nothing else, pick apart the themes. Francis Bacon's destruction of the body and rot, for example. The way the Devil's Minion chapter of Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned plays with power and control and devotion. The way Closer focuses in on defilement, filth, corruption, but also self loathing and sex without strictly erotic intent.

I find this stuff hot. Maybe you don't though? Maybe you need to seek out art that lines up with your taste! Do you like longing? Try Hellelil and Hildebrand, the Meeting on the Turret Stairs by Frederic William Burton. Do you like boobs and butts? Try some of the more mainstream intentionally erotic art! If you're into scenarios and descriptions of sex? Try some "spicy" romance books (like A Court of Thorns and Roses), as they're often called now. If you're reading erotica or romance books with incidental erotica, that's still finding eroticism in art! Hell, watching the front page of pornhub is finding eroticism in art.

I know that's probably not what you're looking for exactly, but if being consumed by the art, experiencing it fully, doesn't work for you, maybe shifting your goalpost might help.

DLs personality and habits:

*His face is always hidden. He wears different masks to conceal his face, most typically a goat skull, but also a crow skull, a masquerade, etc. I’d love to see some original creepy masks!

*He’s 15 feet tall, so human skulls don’t fit over his face (unfortunately) and other size shenanigans are relevant

*He used to be a fearsome warlord, but now mostly does ordering and paperwork, and so prefers comfortable clothing

*He’s also quite vain, and a bit of a fashionista now that his clothes don’t have to be practical for war. I’d love to see cool armor designs though!

*Because demon, jewelry can also be on and connected to his horns. Additionally, he needs a monocle for his left eye, which is usually connected to his left horn. Add as many piercings to his ears as you want.

*His hair is quite long, down almost to his knees, and he usually does it up in a ponytail or braid, but feel free to get creative with hairstyles.
