Hello, I am writing to you as a 22-year-old girl who managed to enter the void on the night of May 17 and changed her whole life.
I started my void challenge in December 2021. It was very difficult for me both physically and psychologically. Because I had an environment that was abusive and violent. And my conditions were very terrible. I had an exam that I couldn't win for 3 years, an alcoholic father who beat me, and a mother who never let up on it. I have lost a lot of things in my life in 3 years, but I have never given up on emptiness. If there are people who are still struggling with the gap, I hope my success story will be a motivation for you.
One morning when I woke up with failure again, I was feeling extremely unhappy and hopeless. But an incident at home during the day made me say, ‘That's enough, I'm going to fuck everything up tonight and wake up in a void.
When I wasn't feeling very sleepy- or even sleepy at all- I lay down on the bed. Because I'm afraid to fall asleep. In order of;
15 min Holotropic breathwork
20 min Silva method
10 min Alpha State meditation
After lying motionless for about 45 minutes, the brown noise started playing. It is very natural that there is a desire to move, to be overwhelmed,to give up in this part. Please continue for your dreams. When the brown noise was playing, I used a single affirmation.
‘I'm simply deciding that I'm in a void.’
I can't remember how many times I repeated it. After a while, everything became quiet and I felt so peaceful for the first time in my life. I had a 30-page document and I said that everything in there would be manifested.
A day ago, when I had nothing, I now have a house on the Mediterranean coast, a black bmw ix car, a Harvard math degree, an online job where I earn 25 thousand dollars per month by working only 4 hours a day 4 days a week (Dollars are very valuable in the country where I live, and my salary is multiplied by about 30.), I have a beautiful face, body and skin. I also showed that I can ride horses professionally and draw pictures. I confirmed that the apple products, books, cosmetics and skin products in my wishlist are also in my house. I have also declared the person I will meet about 1 year from now and who will become the man of my dreams.
THIS IS AMAZING!!!! I’m so happy that you’re now living your dream life 💗
This is such a good example of showing people that they can truly do anything. Thank you for taking your time to share this 💗

I worked as a substitute teacher for a few years and one day I helped sub in an 8th grade science class. They were doing math like speed=distance/time. But they had a...really odd method for it. That I commented on because I'd never heard of it before.
And the teacher was straight up like "Oh yeah, this makes it really easy for them to do it for the tests. But its going to really fuck them up next year when they are in high school because they won't understand how to reverse the division. But that's not my problem."
And that comment has lived in my head so much. Like, she just did NOT care that the method was bad in the long run. She just needed them to pass the state test that year.
Also, it's literally a very basic formula, what do you MEAN?
Ohhhhh yeah. That's not exactly the issue in my district, as funding for us isn't directly tied to our state exam scores (thank god). Mine is dealing with both grade inflation and no grades below high school. So kids don't want to learn things if they're not graded on the material. Which is fair, honestly, as I also would not have wanted to learn things I didn't like if I wasn't given a grade or any consequences for not knowing it either. Mine's also dealing with a lot of the "memorization bad" thing that's going around, hence why the kids are entering high school not knowing any of their times tables. They just used a calculator their entire lives. They have NO concept of what numbers mean.
Like, at the start of the year, I asked one of my classes what 2 + 0 was and I got about thirty seconds of 15 kids shouting every number except 2. Which was sort of wild to witness.
At the start of the year, we did a week of review and then we had all the freshmen take a quiz of 7th and 8th grade level easy math problems as a sort of wake up call for them. No quiz corrections either, which they've never not been allowed to retake a test before...
The class average was a C-. Unsurprisingly.
Content Teacher warned me right before she posted the grades, and I spent a LOT of time that afternoon talking the kids down from a metaphorical ledge.
Lots of angry parent phone calls, too, but the math department held firm. The students HAVE to know how to solve this stuff. They NEED to know their basic times tables, they NEED to know how basic fractions work, they NEED to know how to rearrange one-step equations.
After that, we had our Very Frank Class Discussion about how they felt about their education. They felt very frustrated and unprepared, which we validated as we're also frustrated that they're so unprepared. But we were honest about other things. We told them that they couldn't get by just sitting there on their phone and copying the answers off the key anymore. We aren't going to reward an A for minimal effort. Yes, you have to take notes, and yes, you have to follow along with classroom example of problems or you won't pass the class. The students are responsible for their education, we all offer extra help, all our emails are open, all they need to do is ask and we'll never turn them away. But they do need to start taking advantage of all the learning opportunities/supports they have now.
Honestly, I'm so glad we had that convo with them. Felt like they got to vent a lot of their frustrations, and they realized that we were here to push them, but we're NOT their enemy. All our students have a study hall block, and if they come to one of our rooms for even 10 minutes out of the entire hour, we will help them however they need.
A lot of my Freshmen have been really really good about coming for extra help, or emailing and asking if they can stop by for a few minutes to do a few homework problems 1-1 with me.
(And yes, for those worried, while we didn't let them retake that first quiz, two weeks later we did give them another assessment after on the same material, but with slightly harder problems and worth more points. Class average was a B!)
I tried to keep this short, but I guess I had a lot to say aksjnfksjdnkajn

dealing with academic burnout
hey lovelies! if you're feeling burnt out with school right now, you're not alone. here are some tips to help you push through and finish strong!! (long post incoming :))
BREAK IT DOWN -
big assignments can feel overwhelming, so break them into smaller, more manageable tasks. instead of "write a 10-page paper," think "write an outline," "research for 1 hour," "write the introduction," and so on. this makes the workload less daunting and helps you make consistent progress. it's also helpful to keep track of those smaller tasks in a list.
BE REALISTIC -
prioritize your tasks and set achievable daily or weekly goals. don't try to do everything at once. make a to-do list every day, and highlight your most important tasks. this helps you stay organized but also it feels really good to check things off your list :) for example, aim to complete two math problems instead of the entire set, or read one chapter instead of the whole book, and see where it goes from there.
TAKE BREAKS -
in order to be productive, you need to rest your mind!! try the pomodoro technique: work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break. after four cycles, take a longer break (15-30 minutes). during your breaks, do something completely different from your study activity. get up, stretch, grab a snack, or go for a quick walk outside. it's refreshing for your mind and body.
STAY ACTIVE -
physical activity helps reduce stress and improve your mood. so you should aim to get at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. this could be a workout, a yoga session, or even just a really fast walk. if you don't have much time, try putting short bursts of activity in throughout your day. for example, do some stretches or a few jumping jacks between pomodoro cycles.
GET SUPPORT -
talk to friends, family, or a counselor if you're feeling overwhelmed. sometimes, just having someone listen can make a huge difference!! if you’re struggling with a particular subject or area, try forming/joining a study group or seeking help from a tutor. working with others can give you new perspectives and helps with loneliness.
HAVE A HEALTHY DIET -
your brain needs proper fuel to function at its best. try to eat balanced meals with fruits, veggies, whole grains, and protein. avoid too much caffeine and sugary snacks, because those can lead to energy crashes. keep a water bottle with you and make sure you're drinking enough throughout the day to keep your energy levels stable.
GET ENOUGH SLEEP -
pulling all-nighters is going to affect your concentration and memory. go for 7-8 hours of sleep each night. get a bedtime routine in place to help signal to your body that it's time to wind down. this could include stuff like reading a book, listening to calming music, or doing some mindfulness exercises. avoid screens at least an hour before bed, because the blue light can interfere with your sleep.
REWARD YOURSELF -
give yourself something to look forward to after completing a task. a favorite snack, watching an episode of your favorite show, or spending some time on social media, really anything that makes you happy. rewards reinforce your positive behavior and make studying feel more manageable. for example, tell yourself, "after I finish this chapter, I'll take a break to watch a funny youtube video."
STAY ORGANIZED -
keep track of deadlines and dates!! it will save you so much stress!! use a planner, calendar app, or bullet journal to log all your assignments and exam dates. you can also color code by subject/priority to make it easier to see what needs attention. review your schedule often and adjust it when you need to.
GIVE YOURSELF SOME LOVE -
it's okay to feel tired and stressed!! be kind to yourself and remember that you're doing your best. if you need to take a break, don't feel guilty about it. self-care is just as important as academic achievement. try some mindfulness or meditation and just take a moment to ground yourself.
hang in there, you've got this! just a little bit more to go and it'll be all worth it in the end. 🫶

Day 8/100 days of Productivity
9th April, 2024
Academia
Did my basic math revision sheet. Got all those things right which I used to get wrong, but got those wrong which were right in past revisions. 🤦🏻♀️
I did 98 questions of Chemical Coordination and 77 of them were correct and 21 of them were incorrect.
I really like such quality short videos which are rare on the Indian science stream scene when all I see is 40 minute long lectures for simple short topics😭😭. I watched this video on law of definite proportions. (Fun fact: this law states that any chemical compound will have the same ratio of mass of the elements wherever you find them.)
Did the next 30% of ncert line by line video on Chemical Coordination with my NCERT textbook.
Made a revision sheet for Mole concept and did some questions.
Watched a video to get clearer on calcium homeostasis.
My goal for this week is to complete 10 Chapters of Chemistry and atleast 15 Chapters of Biology. And Physics lectures daily.
Non Academia
Watched this video on thinking errors that we all have and its based on Thinking Fast and Slow by David Kahneman. I should read that book. What's fascinating is that I saw an article a few days ago where David Kahneman says that he failed to follow his own advice.
This video essay on Machiavelli where the narrator said that its dangerous to subscriber to Machiavellian ideas but its also dangerous to completely ignore them. Which is so true and so wonderful. Overall, it is a very beautiful introduction to who was Machiavelli and what his ideas originally were.
Today is the first day of Nau Devi (नवरात्रि). Today is Goddess Shailputri's day. Shailputri (शैलपुत्री) is the daughter of the mountains. We keep a fast on the 9 days but since it's exam time, I'll only be keeping a fast on 1st and last day. Also, it's my first time keeping a fast during Nau Devi. | Good day, it was. Very peaceful. Nowadays bhakti has been bringing me so much peace. I got up earlier today and took a bath before 7 am, which is new for me. And I'd be doing this for the next 8 days, hopefully forming a habit. I feel cleansed.

operation: true love | scaramouche x gn!reader
synopsis. scaramouche is one of the highest ranking students in teyvat high! how is it like having him as a seatmate? notes. scaramouche as eunhyeok. based off ep 23 of operation: true love on webtoon ! i haven't read operation: true love since aug 2022, i only read until ep 10 bc the rest needed fast pass. anyway, i know this scene bc of a tiktok edit, the premise is similar but slightly different! i read webtoon a lot, so dialogue is also referenced from seasons of blossom! not proofread !!
it's math class, and you weren't paying attention. you begin to doze off as the chalk clashes with the board. in an attempt to stay awake, you rip a piece of scratch paper and draw a hashtag with a circle in the center. you write a little note underneath – "let's play."
you pass it to your seatmate, scaramouche, one of the highest ranking students in the school. of course, he had plenty of rivals– albedo, alhaitham, heizou, ayato… they were countless, but being his seatmate, you watch his competitiveness, his need to win.
he takes your note and entertains your request. you thought he'd crumple it up, but you realized that he already knew what the teacher was discussing and didn't care.
you play a few games– 0-10.
you mutter under your breath, "damn it." scaramouche chuckles and returns the scratch paper to you, "y/n. let's not play anymore. you're too bad at this game, it's not fun."
your mouth is agape, offended by his words. you knew he always spoke the truth, and you hated how blunt he was but he was always right.
"alright class, i'll be handing out these papers. answer them in 15 minutes or less." your math teacher raises their voice, not shouting, but only to wake up those who have dozed off.
shit.
your classmates complain about the given time, it's too short, they tell your teacher. "it would be easy if you paid any attention."
shit (the sequel)
you recieve your paper, and in the past minutes all you've written down is your name. you take a glance at scaramouche, well his paper. you watch as he flicks his pen and makes clean, fast strokes. he solves the problems with ease, nearly done with the paper. the tip of his pen is thin and his answer sheet is neat and is organized, the rest of the solving is done mentally.
pretty handwriting.
you look at his hands,
pretty hands.
wait, what?
snap out of it! he’s your seatmate, and exams are up, so i really have to do well– no, scratch that, i have a surprise quiz right now! i know it’s wrong but… maybe i could just take a peek at his answers?
you lean closer to him to look at his paper, since his writing is incredibly thin and long, you can’t see it well, so you squint. it doesn’t help when his left hand covers the other half of his paper, hey– move, i can’t see it! you sigh. eventually, he retreats his left arm and his shoulders tense because of your stare. you were lost in your thoughts, happy now that his arm wasn’t blocking the way, until his left hand grabbed the edge of your chair and pulled you closer.
he turns to you, “can you see it better?” he furrows his brows and sighs. he stares at you, directly into your eyes. “yea- yeah.” you mutter. “good, now write quickly, would you? time’s almost up, and your paper is as blank as your mind.” he goes back to solving his paper.
you couldn’t even get mad at his comment, after all, he’s letting you copy his work. and, you were focused on his strength, how he was able to pull you by the chair with only one hand.
his hands are big, maybe that’s why. haha..
you watch as he passes you a piece of torn paper with a note– “exams are coming up, if you need help, just say so.”
“thanks, you’re pretty.”
he stops writing.
“i mean pretty nice–you’re pretty nice.” his ears turn bright red, you’re pretty… nice too, he thinks.

. . . ⇢ ˗ˏˋ 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 ࿐ྂ
Pairing: Senku Ishigami X afab!Reader
Synopsis: So, how did MC, an average student, get personally tutored by the genius scientist in school? In math lessons, nonetheless.
Word Count: 4,220
Tick... Tock... Tick... Tock...
You block out the white noise that encompasses the entirety of the classroom; the white noise being—in your vocabulary—your Math teacher, Mr. Ishikawa. You couldn't be bothered to listen to his discussion anymore, seeing that you've been so lost in thought for at most the initial 15 minutes of his class that you practically cannot catch up with the rest of the students. So why not spend the remaining hour doodling and watching as the clock hand goes by? And that, you did.
The middle-aged teacher had noticed your aloofness from the corner of his eyes. He knew that you weren't paying any attention to the lesson at hand, not to mention that you were in contrast to the sea of students who had their heads buried deep in their textbooks. Your [e/c] irises were blankly staring at the wall clock located at the front of the class, just above the board. If others were to observe, they would be convinced that you were paying attention to the mathematical equations scribbled on the chalkboard. In a nutshell, you stuck out like a sore thumb.
The man sighed, easing his headache by gently massaging his temple. The midterms were coming right up, and he feared that his students wouldn't have enough time to prepare and study for the test. To say that he's slightly concerned is an understatement; he's anxious for them. The majority of students had problems with the Math lessons this semester, and he couldn't blame them. Imagine having to memorize more than 10 formulas and being expected for to stay with you until you use it on exam day. And that's not all, you also have to familiarize yourself with the terms used and avoid confusing it with another.
He knew that his students would pay attention to the lesson and try to catch up as much as possible, but what he didn't expect was you be absentminded and have your head up in the clouds in his subject: Mathematics. Mr. Ishikawa never doubted your intelligence as a student; you are averaging and have no problems with Math, though a bit confused at times, but nothing that you couldn't get your head around. However, at a critical time like this, he can't help but reprimand your behavior later.
Ding... Ding... Ding... Dong...
Finally, the awaited hour at last. The school bell's chimes resonated around the whole campus, enveloping the students and faculty members alike with its gentle, relaxing tune. A sigh escaped your pink lips as you glanced at the time for the last time. 3:15 in the afternoon, meaning, the dreaded period has ended and you can finally go on to your merry way. Mr. Ishikawa stood up from his seat and faced the students, addressing his concerns about the upcoming exams. After, he had dismissed your class.
You immediately fixed your belongings inside your black shoulder bag—not that you have a lot to return inside since you zoned out from the last period—and stood up from your seat. Bringing the strap over your shoulder, you watched as your classmates headed out from the back door, leaving only a few, you included, inside. You were about to take a step towards the exit when a stern voice called you.
"Miss [L/n]."
You visibly flinched at the tone of his voice—serious and firm. It was the usual setting between student and teacher, although the way that it was delivered to you made you unsettled. It's like you've been caught red-handed by your parents, only this time, you didn't even know what you did wrong.
You whipped your head back to the older male at his table, dark blue eyes boring holes into your soul. You were tense but still decided to wear a convincing confused front, masking your anxiety effectively.
"Yes, sensei?"
"Please come here for a second. I need to address you about something."
The way that he motioned you over or the fact that he had his finger on his temple didn't look like it was going to be good news of some sort. You swallow a small lump in your throat as you saunter to where the teacher is. You surely didn't get into trouble, right?
"What it is you wanted to talk about, sensei?" You cautiously queried, becoming more anxious than you already were.
"Miss [L/n], I know that you're a hardworking student and your grades in Math aren't that bad. However," Mr. Ishikawa spared a glance at his student, observing your bodily cues. "—it seems that you weren't paying attention in class today. Is something the matter? I know that lessons this semester are quite difficult, but please be aware that midterms are approaching. I don't want your grades to be in danger, especially in my subject."
You pursed your lips at his words. You didn't hate him or his subject in any way. Although Math has given you quite the difficulty—no, wait, scratch that. It is literal hell—you still manage to bring your grades up even just a bit. You consider yourself as just average in the subject, not that smart to constantly have an achievement, nor dumb to fail. It's just so-so, enough to let you pass. However, it seems that your grades are suffering and on the verge of failing.
You weren't so sure what the cause might be, or if you were to blame in this situation. Nevertheless, the news is certainlynot good for your ears to hear. You glanced at the oakwood floor for a while, before returning your attention to the teacher.
"I'm sorry, sensei. There's nothing wrong. I just feel overwhelmed with the subject that I tend to space out," giving a sincere bow, you explained your reasoning.
Mr. Ishikawa's calculating gaze didn't leave you for a bit, making you shuffle slightly in your spot. He then let out an exasperated sigh, his hand waving dismissively. "No matter, it doesn't change the fact about your grades and midterms. If things were to continue like this, you'd surely fail my subject. I'd recommend that you have someone to tutor you in the meantime, in that way, you won't fail."
The male before you gave you a knowing look. You weren't quite fond of having a tutor, to say the least, especially when if it's someone you don't know. But, what other options do you have? It's not like you want to fail in your second year of high school. So with a squeamish heart, you spoke, "...Alright."
"Great. I'm sure that Mister Ishigami won't mind tutoring you," with that said, Mr. Ishikawa flashed you a smile as he fixed his books.
Pink flushed across your cheeks at the mention of the student. Sure, you and the leek-haired genius were friends for like, years. But just pondering about the thought of him tutoring you sent you into overdrive. You secretly had a crush on the male since but didn't have enough courage to confess the feelings. Just acting normal was tough when every time, you're being assaulted by your hormones to do something intimate to him. So spending time with him tutoring you was something you haven't imagined, even in your wildest dreams.
The sudden screech of metal against the wooden floor broke you out of your trance. Facing the teacher once again, he patted you on the shoulder and stepped out of his seat, pushing the chair further into the work desk.
"I'll be leaving now. Be careful on your way home, Miss [L/n]. And please don't forget our discussion, alright?"
You bowed your head. "Yes, sensei."
"Good," a smile etched on his aged face.
Your gaze trailed upon Mr. Ishikawa's back as he walked out the front door, probably heading back to the faculty room. You let your eyes linger on the closed sliding door, before releasing a huff of annoyance. Gripping your bag strap, you trudged over the aperture and exited the classroom.
The hallway was seemingly empty, considering that your earlier discussion took more than five minutes. Your [e/c] eyes observed the surroundings as you walked—cream-colored walls, wooden oak floorboards, metal plaque located above each room to indicate the room name, and sliding doors with windows. You muttered in each room as you passed by them, boredom lacing in your tone.
"Class 2-2, class 2-3, literature club, library..." An exasperated sigh escaped your lips after, noticing that there was no more classroom by the end of the hall.
Your feet immediately turned a swift left into another hallway, only this time, you were met with a familiar person. You recognized the skinny young man with his iconic anti-gravity leek hair with two locks that drape over his face. He had his hands in his pockets while staring at the floorboard, seemingly lost in thought—you noted. Yet, despite him not noticing you, just the sight of the teenager made your face flush.
Eventually, the student turned his gaze to the front, landing on nothing else but you. The surprise was written over his expression, but he nevertheless smirked at the sight of his best friend. "Well, isn't this a surprise? I was 10 billion percent sure that you're on your way home right now."
You playfully rolled your eyes at him, stopping just a meter from your best friend. "Well, apparently, your calculations were off since I'm here right now."
"Let me guess, waiting for me?" the male said, placing his hand on his chin as if thinking. Though the smirk on his face never left, making your blush redden.
"Sorry, but I wasn't boy genius," you let out a scoff, crossing your arms as you tried to cool down your cheeks. "I would be delighted if that's the case since you're nowhere to be seen during the last period. Speaking of which, where were you during Math?"
"Since the school's Science competition is nearing, every teacher gave us, the Science club, permission to spend the last period preparing for the competition," Senku explained, placing his hands on his hips as he did so. "So being the club president, I was at our club room for the hour."
You nodded in understanding. But soon, your lips contorted into a pout, eyebrows creasing to accentuate your hidden indignation. "How nice. I wish I could escape the Math period as well."
"Silly," without warning, Senku flicked your forehead which earned him a surprised yelp. "You know that you can't just skip the subject. So tell me, what makes you upset this time?"
Despite Senku's remarks and occasional forehead flicking, you knew that he was genuinely concerned about you, especially your studies. Sure, he would appear arrogant and overbearing, often annoying you about your oh-so-average grades, but there isn't just a moment when he didn't help you improve. Not to mention that he's so observant about you that he can point out your cues and even know what you're feeling at the moment. That's why you admire the boy so much.
A frown replaced your pouting lips at his words, slumping your shoulder a bit. "I was held back to discuss something with Ishikawa-sensei."
"And that is?" he quirked a brow, prodding you to explain further.
"Ishikawa-sensei told me about my grades, and apparently, it's suffering. So for me to pass the upcoming tests, he advised that I should get someone to tutor me in the meantime," an annoyed sigh escaped your lips after that statement.
"If that's your concern then you don't have to worry about it too much. Overthinking might lead to losing more brain cells."
"Hey!" you shouted at him, offended by his sarcastic remarks.
"No need to shout at me, [Name]. Geez! I was only joking," he pulled up his hands in surrender. "Besides, you already have me. Who else helps you study, silly?"
Your [e/c] hues stared at the male's face, still not quite convinced. A pout graced your lips while your cheeks were red in embarrassment. Eyebrows still creased up, indicating your agitation. Senku didn't bother to move an inch under your heated stare. The boy knew all too well about your tendencies and antics, and this one of them.
The moment lasted for another minute when Senku broke your trance with his iconic smirk. This made you blink in surprise as realization fell on you; you'd been staring at your best friend's devilishly attractive features for too long. You instantly flared at this, moving your head back while averting your gaze somewhere but him.
God, couldn't you be a little more cautious around him? You're ogling him in front of his face! Isn't that super embarrassing? Whatever excuse your head came up with, you couldn't justify your earlier action by any means. So instead of speaking, you decided to remain silent until he spoke first. Damn, your teenage hormones.
"What? Too embarrassed to have me as your tutor?" Senku mused. Despite you being unable to see his face, just hearing the teasing tone of his voice is enough to know that a smirk was still on his face.
You were close to snapping back at him, but you held your tongue back at the realization. It dawned on you a moment after his claim that he was volunteering to tutor you in Math. You were beyond baffled. Sure, the two of you occasionally spend time reviewing and studying, but that was way too long ago. Considering that he's always busy in his club and studies, you concluded that you should just leave him be—not bothering to ask him to help you study.
"Wai—w-what?" you whipped your head back at him, face covered in a red hue.
Senku just sighed. "You told me about your grade problem, right? So to help you study, I'll be tutoring you starting today."
Your eyes widened at his claim. Surely, your mind isn't just making up the scenario, right? Admittedly, due to your annoying hormones, you once imagined being tutored by this leek genius at school in private. And not only that, but your dirty mind also added another scenario following that. But we'll never speak of it any further.
"Can't it be tomorrow?" you whined, pleading him with your puppy eyes to at least let him save you from further embarrassment. Who might know? Your hormones might initiate something you wouldn't want to happen.
"No, the earlier, the better," he retorted, grabbing your hand and dragged you inside an empty, unused classroom. "You will improve quickly this way, I'm 10 billion percent certain."
You just swallowed a lump in your throat as he led the way, nervous sweat rolling down from your forehead as your heart sped up. Your head was swirling with dirty thoughts and different scenarios. Once the two of you entered the room, you shook your head, ridding yourself of those thoughts, and tried to focus on the situation at hand.
Your eyes observed the classroom—even though it was unused, it wasn't overall bad. The room had a total of 20 desks with five chairs in each row, a rather small chalkboard on the front, a shelf that stores personal belongings at the back, and a storage cabinet at the farthest corner. You sat on an empty chair in the front row as you were instructed to. Taking out a notebook, the Math textbook, and a pen, you then set down your belongings on the table while placing the bag on the ground.
A frown made unto your face at the idea. Sure, you wanted help with your current problem, but you aren't that obliged to start the tutoring session right away. You thought that maybe you could have a day or two without worrying about your brain exploding from information overload. Though it seems that Lady Luck has long abandoned you.
A comfortable silence settled between you two. Senku scanned the vicinity to find—what you guessed as—chalks while you were watching him. You hadn't noticed it earlier, but now you knew that the male wasn't wearing the usual uniform, nor his iconic lab coat.
"Why aren't you in your uniform, Senku?" you asked, trying to spark up a casual conversation before getting down to studying.
"We made a miscalculation with the project, and then one thing leads to another, then kaboom—" the leek-haired replied, rummaging through the storage cabinet and found the item he's looking for. "—We're all covered in dust that's why I decided to change."
"Oh."
"Anyways, let's start," Senku announced as he made his way to the front. "I'm guessing that the lesson is still about 'Estimation of Parameters', right?"
You nodded in reply, opening the textbook to what you assumed was the last lesson discussed. "Ishikawa-sensei discussed 'Calculating the Confidence Interval', I think. I wasn't listening."
Your best friend let out a disapproving sigh. "No wonder you need a tutor."
"Eh, not my fault that Math's scummy and difficult to understand," you scoffed, rolling your eyes at him.
"No, it isn't. You're just not paying attention during lessons," he deadpanned.
"No. And yes, I'm paying attention. Why do I even pass the exams if I wasn't?" you quipped back.
"Who knows? Maybe it's just your abundant amount of sheer luck," the male shrugged before facing the board. "Anyway, I don't have even a millimeter of interest arguing with you. So please listen to me as I review the basics of this unit. We don't want you to fail now, do we?"
The deliberate side glance Senku gave you made you huff in annoyance. You were about to resort to another snappy remark earlier if it wasn't for his immediate interruption. You two knew all too well that once either of you started something, it wouldn't be the end of it. So instead of a peaceful study session, it might've ended up in a full-blown squabble between you two. Slumping deep in your seat, you watched as Senku scribbled formulas and definitions on the board with a blank look on your face.
Senku started to re-discuss the lesson shortly after, with you trying to catch up with his explanation and take some notes as he continued. The male would often pause or slow down his speech as he waited for you to comprehend the lecture. He would also approach you and inspect your progress, checking out any errors that you've made and aid you with some tips for the solution. At first, it didn't seem so bad, until you came to a certain point where your brain could not grasp the new information anymore.
It didn't take you an hour to zone out from the seemingly long lecture. The fact that the young scientist was busy writing down the next sample problem gave you the spare time to take a trip to fantasy land. The scraping of the white chalk against the wooden board was the only sound that you could hear.
"First, identify the variables before substituting the formula. It's crucial to know which is the mean, standard deviation, and the sample size," the teenage male instructed, writing down the solutions with his left hand resting on his hip.
You began to tune out his voice by this point, boredom was visible on your blank [e/c] irises that were staring downward. You propped up against your right elbow on the table, resting your cheek on the base of your palm. Holding up the pen in your left hand, you let your thumb graze the tip before pushing it down.
Click! Click! Click!
Senku turned around at the soft sound that distracted him, his crimson hues landing upon the female he was tutoring. He noticed that you've let out a disinterested sigh, continuing your small ministration. Senku's eyebrow twitched a bit, silently face-palming—you will surely be the end of him.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Footsteps echoed inside the room as a certain male trudged over to where his best friend sat. Once he's in front of your desk, he gently—but still making sure to produce enough sound to alert the girl—slammed his right hand on the wooden table while the other made its way under your chin. Placing his thumb below your parted lips and folded index finger below your chin, he slowly lifts your head, forcing you to make eye contact with his mesmerizing ruby jewels.
Your cheeks heated up at the unexpected intimate gestures; your eyes were wide as saucers as you willingly stared at Senku, your soft lips were parted out of shock, your heart racing inside of your chest, while your brain could not comprehend the situation at hand. Senku's face was just a few inches from yours, making it accessible for you to observe his flawless features; the stray locks of greenish-white hair that gently draped over his face as his eyebrows were scrunched up in a frown, crimson orbs contained disappointment and concern. You could've sworn that you weren't even breathing at this point due to the unexpected turn of events.
"[Name]..." he started, voice gentle as he chided you. "How can you pass the upcoming exam if you don't pay attention to me?"
You could've sworn that your brain interpreted that differently. Surely, he only meant about him explaining the lesson, right? But then why did the red hue across your cheeks darken? And most importantly, when did he start to sound so concerned about you? If you could remember correctly, never did he ever do this kind of thing to you. Like ever. So why the change? Honestly, your mind was brewing a lot of questions that you're pretty sure wouldn't get answered at all.
The two of you stared at each other's eyes for another minute before you broke the interaction by shyly averting your gaze away. You pursed your quivering lips, the sound of your heartbeat ringing in your ears. Senku disregarded your initial reaction and decided to pull back. He isn't an idiot; he knew that you were a bit uncomfortable and flustered at his action.
"[Name], you need to pay attention when I'm teaching. Or else you won't pass the midterms," the male sighed, pulling a nearby chair and setting it beside the girl, sitting on it after. "Maybe it's better if I teach you this way."
However, you didn't respond to his remark, feeling your face flush red at this proximity. Senku resumed tutoring you—his whole attention on you and your notes which you found embarrassing. You didn't hate this setup, however, it made it difficult for you to focus on the lecture when your [e/c] hues kept stealing glances at your crush.
An hour later, the young genius eventually ended the session. Both of you prepared to go home—you fixed your things while Senku erased the writings on the board. After that, the two of you exited the room and walked in a comfortable silence through the halls. Your [e/c] hues glanced outside the window, witnessing the sun descending behind the horizon. The palette of orange, yellow, pink, and violet decorated the evening sky, providing you a sense of warmth and serenity. Your mind wandered back to earlier events, a slight scarlet hue spread across your warm cheeks.
Letting out a contented sigh, you gaze back on the front. By this time, you've noticed that you and your best friend were out of the campus and heading home. Once more, you stole a glance at the male beside you. Senku was facing forward, his ruby orbs intently locked on the path both of you were heading. The way that the yellowish-orange rays adorned his features gave off a gentle glow. You didn't notice a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips at this sight.
"Well, this is home," you chirped once the two of you arrived at your street.
Senku halted at your announcement, his eyes landing on your petite back. You stayed standing for a moment before turning around to the male and stepping closer into his personal space. Senku closely watched you as you leaned in, pressing your soft lips against his pale cheeks. It happened so quickly that when the male finally registered the occurrence, you were already on your heel and ran away from him. His cheeks bloomed to a shade of scarlet at your bold gesture. Surely, he wasn't expecting this interaction to happen.
A smile adorned his handsome features, soft crimson hues staring at your faraway silhouette. "Well, this is exhilarating."

The Report Card – Fantasy High Junior Year Ep 15
The Buddy System
Welcome back to Fantasy High where the Bad Kids are still fighting for their lives and, more importantly, their grades.
After a sterling start to their Last Stand exam, they still have a lot more test to get through before they’re academically out of the woods and they need a perfect score on the written portion to pass which is incredibly harsh but that’s Aguefort for you!
This is a very long episode where everyone gets to be so cool. Truly, you can see how competent all of the players and the characters have become as they carve a bloody path through wave after wave of enemies.
As usual, it doesn’t really make sense for me to do a blow for blow recap of this fight but it’s absolutely worth watching. It’s an absolute delight from Siobhan and Emily irl making up a limerick in tandem to pass the Performance section of The Last Stand to Gorgug rolling truly more Nat 20s than I’ve ever seen in my life and almost solo-ing a *Purple Worm*. There’s not really any commentary that I can add to improve on just how amazingly they do in the episode. They’re forced to use the auto-pass stamp twice but only on the two most unreasonable things Brennan asked them to do–write a 300 word essay longhand in five minutes and do a (gag) math word problem. With those two stamped, they get 100% on their written exam. They even get some extra credit (partially due to Siobhan’s IRL LOTR geekery).
Not only that, but Gavin (the proctor) only gets hit (I think) once and never actually goes down! None of the Bad Kids do. Hell, Adaine–their squishiest member–basically just sits at her desk the whole fight answering questions and slinging spells and she’s fine! Happy ending, A+s all around, roll credits, right?
No, of course not. Nothing is that simple–not that this was simple. They can’t just be the first party to ever pass The Last Stand without dying and have it be done.
During the fight, everyone–but especially Kristen–has been suspicious of Buddy. She does an Insight check and sees that he seems on the level but that’s not enough to quell her suspicion. Near the end of the fight, she eats the Vulture King eyeball (granting her a minute of Truesight) with the intent of seeing who Buddy really is–a reasonable instinct considering Ruben was in disguise at the festival.
She sees that Buddy is Buddy. She *also* sees Kipperlilly Copperkettle invisibly aiming a crossbow at Gavin. KP clocks Kristen clocking her, smiles, and lowers the crossbow, instead choosing to SLIT BUDDY’S THROAT. Buddy falls to the ground, absolutely DEAD. Not making saves. FULLY DEAD. A blue scaly hand touches her and they both vanish–Kristen can tell that the spell was Plane Shift (which is necessary for getting in and out of this testing pocket dimension). She frantically looks for a diamond to cast Revivify but her pockets have been picked and Buddy’s Revivify diamonds are gone as well.
They finish the fight victoriously but Buddy’s death casts a pallor on everything. This was supposed to be a fight to the death but Buddy was the one person whose death wasn’t figured into the bloodbath. Gavin tells them that they pass the rest of the year with A+s but is shaken and thrown off kilter by the seemingly random murder. Kristen tells him what she saw and Gavin says that he was observing so he can vouch for the fact that none of them had anything to do with the murder but this is a crime scene and they have to call the Fantasy FBI. The Bad Kids are all super worried about Gavin’s safety since Kipperlilly was going after him initially, but in the end they agree to take him to the Council of Chosen office in Bastion City so he can be under their protection and to leave Fig’s phone (juiced up by Gorgug) in the pocket dimension with Buddy’s body in case there are any shenanigans (you know, besides him getting murdered which was already a pretty big shenanigan).
The Bad Kids drop off Gavin and then take a bus back to Elmville with a new mission: CSI Elmville, let’s get this bitch arrested!
Editing to Add: This is a very cool post by @thisisnotthenerd that covers all the Last Stand Qs and monsters in the form of Gavin's proctor notes. Check it out!
Detention
Kipperlilly for Icing Buddy
This was gonna go to Brennan for making a bunch of stand up comedians do math under a time limit but I can’t not give it to Kipperlilly here. She smiled. She looked at Kristen, smiled, and slit Buddy’s throat. There was no gritting her teeth like it was a hard but pragmatic choice. She was about to take the life of someone who fully trusted her and she did it with glee. There is something *deeply* wrong with this bitch, and we knew that already but hoo boy this certainly clinches it.
Honor Roll
Gorgug for DESTROYING that Purple Worm
Everyone was in top form this episode but if I have to give it to one person, I’m gonna give it to Gorgug for single handedly holding back a Purple Worm, a monster so terrifying that there is an official D&D show where the premise is that all the players have to fight an OP monster they’re almost certainly gonna TPK against and the title is “Faster, Purple Worm! Kill! Kill!” Our boy didn’t even drop. That’s Maximum Legend Behavior.
Random Notes
Kristen has the thought that she interrupted a truly horrible thing that KP was about to do and wonders what the crossbow bolt was loaded with. I didn’t mention it in the recap but I wanted to call attention to it because Brennan called attention to it.
Also Riz got some footage of Gavin clearing them with his tie and Gavin sent their scores to the superintendent (not Jace to be clear–Tectonya Karkovnya who we met in The Seven).
Ugh I’m so annoyed because if KP and Oisin get questioned under Zone of Truth they’re absolutely gonna be dosed up with Devil’s Honey.
Buddy’s throat was slit and there’s no rune on his chest so presumably he can be revived if he’s brought to a hospital–hell Kristen could probably do it with a higher level spell–but I’m worried someone’s gonna slap that rune on him while his body is alone.
Do we think KP killed Buddy without a thought because she knows she lives in a world with revives and she knows it’s temporary or is she just like I truly do not care what happens to this (literally) corny ass cleric. I don’t know him like that.
Once again, I love Adaine’s div powers so much. “You crit actually.” What a legend. Also love Fig coming to her with doubt and her just being like don’t be crazy and slapping a reticle on the monster to help her aim. I really love their friendship.
Adaine is my favorite Bad Kid and I am first in line to throw down wrath on anyone who tries to mess with her. That being said, my favorite non-Bad Kid character is Aelwyn who has absolutely tried to kill Adaine and attacked her on multiple occasions and also is wanted for murders she absolutely did. My point here is that Oisin’s next moves will determine if he’s “surrounded by bad influences/I can fix them” material like Aelwyn or, “Throw out the whole man” material like that cop Antiope had a crush on. I am still rooting for the former but I will flip on a dime, do not doubt me.
I tried that essay writing task and with 25 seconds left on the clock (I stopped when I finished making my points) I was only at 174 words and my hand was seriously cramping. So I would say, valiant effort from the Bad Kids but that was a *rough* ask.
Kristen’s Bless really came in clutch! Honorary mention to her for that AND for having enough intuition to keep an eye on the Rat Grinder situation. I wonder if Brennan contemplated that might happen.
Fig bug zapping all those flying monsters was chef’s kiss.
Did Bobby Dawn fail Kristen specifically so she’d have to take the Last Stand? If so, he is indirectly responsible for his grandson getting iced. Hope that tastes bitter when he finds out but for all we know he’s one of those ends justify the means guys. Bleh.
This season really is a love letter to all that came before it. The questions, the pentacorn, Adaine’s go to move even magically just being making a fist and letting it fly. I really love how much love Brennan clearly has for this world. And the 100% score the players got on the test shows they obviously love it right back!
Loose Ends
It is Fantasy High tradition for us to get a huge lore dump near the end of the season that ties together a lot of disparate clues and I hope we’re getting there soon because there are a LOT of loose ends we have yet to tie. Here are as many major ones as I can think of right now in case it helps spark productive speculation amongst y’all.
Who killed the Loams?
Why the move to Loam Farm for Frosty Faire?
What specifically was Ruben trying to do with the symbol when he was playing at the festival? Presumably the thing Grix was trying to prevent?
Who killed Professor Badgood?
What were the exact circumstances behind Lucy’s death?
Who was able to put the rune on both of their bodies and what exactly was the goal there?
What is the Devil’s Honey being used for? What about the other things Aelwyn was getting for KP like Ambrosia? Why did she want a Cloud Rider engine?
How is Jace involved? Why is he manipulating Ruben?
How culpable is each individual Rat Grinder? Are they all in it together or are there varying levels of how involved they are?
Why were Ankarana’s domains wiped from heavens’ computers?
Why did Ankarna become corrupted and why was she forgotten? Were the celestial gods (Sol and co) involved?
How did KP find the rogue teacher?
Also what’s her damage? Why is she obsessed with Riz? What are her anger issues about?
What’s her current goal? Who is she loyal to (if anyone)? Why did she want to know about Kristen creating a god exactly?
Why did Lucy change her god and then change it back?
Why was Buddy specifically requested by the Rat Grinders?
Why is KP running for class president? And is Mazey being principal a purposeful machination or just a weird thing that’s happening incidentally?
What’s up with Spy’s Tongue Curse and Kalina only being able to say Ragh’s name? Is it related to that conversation between Kalina, Adaine’s mom, and Jace from SY?
Why wasn’t Ivy surprised to see Fig in disguise as Lucy who was at the time fully dead?
What’s up with the party vision that Adaine has now had at least twice?
Where is KP getting her money from?
What made the Rat Grinders become the Rat Grinders when they started as the High Five Heroes?
What's up with the shatter stars infecting the soil around Elmville?
Where exactly is Cass right now?
What does Ankarna want?
How does Ruvina fit into all of this?
Feel free to hit me up if there's something you think I should add to the list! Can't wait for next week. I'll see you then!

Proposal
“Oppa! I know who I want to marry in the future!”
“Huh?”
Yoo Mia - his sister - excitedly exclaimed. Yoo Joonghyuk instantly whipped his head to her side. They were sitting in the living room, Yoo Joonghyuk playing on his switch while his sister watching some cartoons on the TV.
“I want to marry Kim-seonsaengnim! He’s really pretty.”
She dreamily sighed. Kim-seonsaengnim? Oh, that kindergarten teacher of hers. Yoo Joonghyuk had heard enough of the teacher from his sister that he remembered the man loved to read novels and hated to eat tomatoes. He also knew that Yoo Mia was especially fond of this teacher, judging from how she couldn’t stop talking about him every time she came home from school.
“Today Kim-seonsaengnim made me a heart, isn’t it pretty?”
The pink heart origami was badly folded but his sister looked at it as if it was the most precious treasure in the world. She still kept it on one of her bedside drawers where little trinkets could be found.
“Today when we went to the park, Kim-seonsaengnim told me that I’m prettier than the flowers there!”
The teacher must have said it to all of the students in the class but his sister somehow mistook it for herself. Really, where did she get her confidence from?
The list went on and on. But one thing for certain was that his sister was obsessed with this Kim-seonsaengnim.
“Yeah?”
Yoo Joonghyuk didn’t pay much attention to her words. He was busy defeating this particularly hard boss in the game he was playing.
“I’m serious, Oppa!”
The girl went to where he was lying and blocked his view from the screen. Now that he couldn’t see what was going on, Yoo Joonghyuk had no choice but to entertain his sister.
“Then why do you want to marry him?”
“He’s pretty! He’s nice! And he called me a princess too!”
His sister giggled. Yoo Joonghyuk loved his sister, but sometimes he had no idea what was inside her 5-year-old tiny brain.
“But what if Kim-seonsaengnim doesn’t want to marry you? You know you have to get his consent too right?”
He tried to reason with her. Wanting to marry a fictional character is one thing but wanting to marry her teacher is a completely different matter.
“I know! But Kim-seonsaengnim said he loved me too so our feelings are mutual!”
When did she learn to use the word ‘mutual’? Seriously, his sister was growing too fast for him to catch up with.
“But Mia-ah-“
“Joonghyuk-ah, Mia-ah, dinner is ready!”
The voice of their mother calling them from the kitchen disrupted him. At the sound of ‘dinner’, his sister perked up, running straight to the dining room. Yoo Joonghyuk, now left alone in the living room, sighed inwardly.
“I hope it’s just a one-time thing.” The boy thought to himself.
—
Yoo Joonghyuk was seriously sleep-deprived. He couldn’t remember the last time he had a sleep that lasted more than 5 hours. These days, he was busy studying for the upcoming finals. Normally, he wouldn’t try this hard but his parents had promised him that if he managed to get first place, they would finally buy him the PC that he had been begging for. Therefore, Yoo Joonghyuk studied like crazy, even abandoning sleep for the sake of learning new English vocabulary.
“Joonghyuk-ah, I’m busy so can you go pick Mia up for me today?”
A message arrived when he was solving some math questions. Tomorrow was finally the exam day so Yoo Joonghyuk decided to go over the mock exams again.
Yoo Joonghyuk looked into his phone to see that it’s already been half past three, meaning that Mia would get off soon. He quickly brushed his hair, changed his clothes, locked the door, and hopped on the bike. It took him 15 minutes to get to the kindergarten and by the time he’d arrived, he could already see parents coming in and out of the school to pick up their children.
Leaving his bike in the parking area, Yoo Joonghyuk walked to where his sister's class was. While he had taken her to school numerous times, this was the first time he came to pick her up. Because Yoo Joonghyuk had to be in time for his classes, they usually arrived at the kindergarten quite early in the morning, when there weren’t much people. As a result, he found it quite strange for the place to be filled with people walking around.
“Hello, I come to pick up Yoo Mia.”
Yoo Joonghyuk talked to the teacher that was standing closest to the classroom’s door. He recognized her as the female teacher who was always here early in the morning. Her name was Yoo Sangah, right?
“Ah, you are Mia’s brother! Please wait a moment, I’ll go get her for you.”
She gave him a small smile before heading in. A few moments later, Yoo Joonghyuk saw his sister coming out of the classroom, her hand holding someone’s. Apparently, she was talking to that person.
“Kim-seonsaengnim, why don’t you want to marry me? I thought you loved me!”
Yoo Mia pouted, her voice sounded like she was whining.
“Mia-ah, teacher can’t marry you. Don’t you know that?”
The other person gently answered her while giving her a pat on the head.
Wait, Kim-seonsaengnim? Isn’t that the same teacher who Yoo Mia wanted to get married with? He thought it was just a one-time thing but who knew she could be this persistent.
“Look, isn’t that your brother? See you tomorrow, Mia-ah.”
The teacher suddenly looked in his direction. The moment their eyes met, Yoo Joonghyuk felt his heart skip a beat. The man was… really pretty. Black smooth hair, porcelain white skin, long thick eyelashes, and red pump lips. His eyes were particularly appealing, reminding Yoo Joonghyuk of the starry nights that he saw once on a hiking trip in the countryside. The boy didn’t know why but he couldn’t take his eyes off the other man.
“No! I won’t go home until you agree to marry me!”
His sister crossed her arms, refusing to move an inch. Yoo Joonghyuk wanted to apologize for her behaviors, but his mouth just didn’t listen to him. He was too busy looking at how the white apron the teacher was wearing really fitted his slender figure.
“I’m sorry, Mia’s brother. She is usually more well-behaved than this. I’ll try to persuade her.”
The man gave him an apologetic smile before crouching down to face his sister. Shit, even his smile was out of the world. If his eyes were small stars hanging in the night sky, his smile felt like one of those bright constellations that could be seen without a telescope. It was dazzling, so dazzling that Yoo Joonghyuk forgot how to breathe. Now he could partly understand why his sister wanted to marry the man.
“Mia-ah. If you go home now, I promise that I would make you some flowers tomorrow. Didn’t you say that you wanted one today?”
The teacher smiled sweetly at his sister. Somewhere in his heart, Yoo Joonghyuk wanted to become the recipient of that smile.
“No, I don’t want flowers. I want you to marry me!”
The girl mumbled before turning to where Yoo Joonghyuk was standing.
“Oppa! Can you tell Kim-seonsaengnim to marry me? I promise that I will eat all of my bell peppers if you do!”
“Mia-ah…”
The teacher, not knowing what to do, looked at Yoo Joonghyuk as if asking for help. Yoo Joonghyuk froze under that gaze, not expecting the man to pay attention to him. Seeing that his sister was causing a scene and other parents were staring at them, Yoo Joonghyuk decided to say something so that Yoo Mia could stop bothering her teacher. But before he could think, his mouth moved on his own:
“Do you want to marry me instead?”
Yoo Joonghyuk blamed the sleep he was missing.

I just wanted to give a quick update on how my exam day went today since it was a complete mess. First off, my exam was scheduled for 8 am this morning and I got to the testing center at 7:30 in the hopes of starting early and finishing early which didn't work since I still had to wait in line for 30 minutes. I start to go though the check in process, which involves standing in front of camera to prove I don't have any writing on my wrist and getting metal detected to prevent cheating and I'm about halfway through when I hand over my driver's license as my form of identification and the machine the woman behind the counter puts it in won't accept it. After five minutes she realizes that my license expired TWO DAYS AGO and proceeds to tell me that this is no longer a valid form of identification and I cannot take my exam. The world dropped out from under me and I almost started crying in front of her. In the US there's a 60 day grace period if you get pulled over by a cop and you have an expired license. That grace period apparently doesn't extend to exam identification. So I had to drive across town to a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office and get my license renewed. The DMV is known for taking hours to get anything done and really long lines but this was the only good luck in my day since there was only once person in front of me when I got there and I had my temporary license within 20 minutes of being there. I went back to the testing center and checked fully in and started my exam at 9:15.
Now the exam itself also sucked as I was not expecting it to be as math heavy as it was. I had friends take it and say that maybe 40% of their questions involved math. At least 70% of my exam was math and I was not at all prepared for that. All three of my friends who already took this exam said that none of their four simulations had math and two of mine involved math. I honestly usually don't mind math but with over 90 formulas to memorize for this exam, there was no way I was going to be able to be prepared and with everything that happened before the exam, my brain was fried.
Anyways today was not a good day and I'm going to have to take this exam again in December for sure. But in the mean time, I'm going to prepare for my trip to Chicago for work orientation next week and then when I get back I'll start working full time and studying for my retake of my audit exam which is scheduled for November 15th.
Hope everyone else a good day and make sure you know when your identification cards expire 🙃
#mine#rambles#random#just a complete mess#I almost cried during the exam but then realized I’d be wasting time and figured I’d cry once I was finished lol#still haven’t cried but the days not done yet lol

How to Make a Study Plan for Final Exams
It’s that dreaded season once more so I decided to create a post based on what I’m currently doing for my master’s degree final exams, and hopefully it’ll end up helping someone else out there too!
Step One: How many days do you have left?
Create a schedule that has the dates from when you can start to preferably one week before your exams start. This will give you enough time to allow for any unplanned events or circumstances that prevent you from studying on any particular day. If you don’t have enough time between now and your exams to take a week off, then be sure to plan extra long breaks, or one day off a week up until your exam date to account for unplanned events as well
Plan out your week and fill in all prior requirements, appointments, events, etc. This includes your school or university classes, extra curricular activities, things like doctor appointments or social events. But it should also include necessary things such as meal times, sleep, and breaks
Step Two: Figure out your learning style.
By this, I don’t mean whether you’re a visual or auditory learner, because that’s something that could easily take up it’s own video. So, what do I mean by your learning style?
This is when you’re most productive. Are you a morning person or a night person? Or a mid-afternoon person? Or even a it-honestly-changes-every-day person?
How long can you focus for? Half an hour? Two hours? More?
How long do you need a break for to refocus? Five minutes? Fifteen minutes? Longer?
This will help you figure out how much time you need for each subject, as well as how long you can study for each day while still preventing burnout and fatigue (at least, insomuch as that’s possibly during exam time!)
Step Three: Make a list of all your topics.
Go through all of your subjects that you have exams for and make a list of subtopics for each subject.
Hopefully your professor has given you a syllabus for your class, or even better, an exam cheat sheet of all the possible topics that’ll come up on the test.
If you can, try to assign times to each subtopic if you know approximately how long you need to study each topic. If you don’t know, then assign approximate times to the subtopics, but be sure to give yourself more time than you think is necessary just in case one topic takes longer than expected.
A good approximation (in Europe, at least) is two hours of study for every one hour of class time. So if you’re taking 15 credits of classes, you should spend roughly 30 hours studying. If you’re taking 60 credits of classes, then you should spend about 120 hours studying.
Step Four: Add topics to your schedule.
Look at the time that you have left in your schedule and assign subtopics to the empty time blocks.
You can do one subject a day, such as Mondays for maths, Tuesdays for English, or you can mix things up, and do History in the mornings and Computer Science in the afternoon (although its worth noting in this case, to schedule the most difficult subject during the time you’re most productive, and the “easier” subject during the opposite part of the day!)
Take into account how difficult each subject is. For example, if you really struggle with Spanish but you’re acing geography, then don’t put equal weight on those two subjects. Instead, give Spanish more time because chances are, it’ll take you longer to do the same amount of work.
Also consider the type of studying that you’ll be doing for each subject. Maybe you’re really good at biology but you know it’ll take you a few hours to draw out those diagrams. Maybe you’re failing English literature but you’re a fast reader. Change the amount of time given to each subject depending on the type of studying that’s required
Step Five: Actually study.
Now its time to put your schedule to use. Maybe you have a ton of self-discipline so this isn’t a problem for you, but maybe you don’t so you havie to send your schedule to a family member or friend so that someone else will hold you accountable for following it.
Don’t forget to take breaks. You should stand up, walk around, stretch, have a snack, refill your glass of water, or even do a light or heavy exercise. Talk to your roommates, call your grandma, or run to the store real quick. The aim is to get you out of your study space and get your body moving so that when you return to your desk, you feel refreshed and ready to go once more
Bonus: Problems.
Here are the top three pitfalls that most people fall into when creating study schedules.
Overcommitting. The biggest problem that I see people face is overestimating just how much they can get done in a day. This is why I say to give yourself extra empty days and overschedule your tasks, so that even if something does take longer than expected, your schedule hasn’t been completely derailed.
Not scheduling enough breaks. I cannot overstress the importance of taking regular breaks while you study. Whether it’s for twenty minutes or even just five, you need to remove yourself from that study environment and allow your brain to readjust. You must give yourself time for the information to sink in, and the last thing you want is to be hungry, thirsty, or tired while trying to study for an exam.
Not adjusting your plan. This ties into the previous point. If it doesn’t work for you, then change it. If you need more breaks, then add more. If you initially thought that you could focus for an entire hour but then realise that half an hour is better, then adjust your schedule as needed. This is your study plan. No one is making you follow the first draft. So change things when you have to, because otherwise you’ll find yourself exhausted and burnt out, and nobody wants that!

State that you came from my pinned post.
Oh and congrats if you came here from the haiku I posted. If not, welcome anyway.

30 November, 2024
Whoever is reading this, I'm ok (like hell I am), but I'm not gonna be publicly active for a while, only here in this tiny space I've created for myself, other servers, and occasionally, youtube uploads. I do want to say, that was fucking stupid of me, I'm truly sorry, but I'm too much of a coward to say it to everyone's face. I ruin every friendship I'm in, irl and online. I should shut up sometimes.
---
Hey, this is after writing that haiku and dropping all those hints and changes, god damn I want to talk to those two, but I'm just making it more difficult, aren't I? Fucking hell. Well, I'll just see if they could solve it.
Also, crazy thought, is this what it feels like to have a sibling? Or is this how some friendships go? Does a friendship have a phase where you don't talk to each other for extended periods of time?
---
I wonder if there is a character limit to posts.
...I'm trying to distract myself. I miss them so much. I... I'm looking at the 2ECONDS TO STARLIVHT app on my phone, what could have been if I... shut up.
I want to cry
No, stop it, you're a boy. Boys don't cry.

1 December, 2024
I'm tired. It's nighttime, I'm studying for tomorrow's finals, and I'm tired. Still kinda feel like shit tbh.
Just a nap...? No... there is no time...
Time... when...? When will I... fucking coward.
_ _ _ _ _
2 December 2024
I'll try to come back next week, after finals. Might still be busy with one (hopefully it stays at one) remedial and a project I took on for the school's Chinese New Year's event.
What happens when I come back...? Does she hate me? Should I come back? What if I say the wrong things again...?
---
Would this kill me?

3 December 2024
I feel kind of lonely... but it does help with studying. Today (and right now) I actually got myself to start writing down notes, so far I'm three pages in, and it only took me like 30 minutes.

4 December 2024
I... got 90 for PKn and 98 on Geography...
I don't know how to feel, to be honest.
To be so close to perfection, yet...
Only one mistake in the multiple choices for Geography.
Also discovered that I got a 45 on Math. I'm slow, I know. Only got a few questions done before the time ran out ._.
Hopefully that'll be my only remedial. Tomorrow I have Chemistry and English, along with Scouts for whatever reason. They just announced that suddenly smh
_ _ _ _ _
5 December 2024
All of 10th grade worked together on scouts exam (clearly not allowed), pretty sure everyone failed anyway. Scouts is a bitch.
So uh, the PKN/Geography teacher decided to deduct like, 8 points from our grades ._.
Yeah I got roped into it as well... He did say that there might be other point additions/deductions. We'll see tomorrow.
Now, the only reason I'm talking about this is because I think we weren't completely in the wrong. You see, they suddenly announced the scouts exam, and not a single bit of materials were given out. We didn't know anything. They didn't teach us anything, either. It's like they were just setting all of 10th (and maybe 11th) grade up for failure.
Oh btw that point deduction made the passing rate (for PKN) drop from ~96% to only about 30%.
_ _ _ _ _
6 December 2024
Last exam done. Update on PKN and Geography: The point deduction thing was a joke and we didn't actually do that well, the teacher put a random big number to troll everyone on the first two days (I still BARELY passed PKN with a 71, Geography score should be out soon).
---
I got a 90 on Geography :3
Highest score in 10th grade (tied with someone smh).

Hi Cas,
So I just found out that you're a teacher and I have been struggling with school quite a lot lately so i could really use some advice.
Let me give u some background context, before COVID I used to be a straight A student, in like all subjects except maths ( i used to get Bs , which was kinda ok).
But during covid, I like stopped studying as hard as I used to which has a very bad effect on my academics now that I've returned to school.
My studying capacity has really reduced and i really really struggled to maintain a good GPA in these previous academic years. ( i passed my mind sem exam by 2%) And now I'm going to start a new academic session (bcoz the next 2 academic sessions r literally one of the most important years of my education) and I need to get my shit together, I did some self reflection and have realised that I waste a lot of time on my phone & laptop and even when I'm not using them i just waste a lot of time but just lying in bed and doing nothing.
I just finished a semester with a very stressful period of exams and have some free time on my hands (like 15 days ig), and I really want to use this time fruitfully.
So as a teacher, what do you suggest I do?
p.s- thank you so much for listening to all our problems and giving advice, you're like a guardian angel and i really appreciate what you're doing. ♥️♥️
Hi hon!
First, I think it's amazing that you're reflecting and wanting to do better, especially at your age. It's difficult to make those realizations, you know?
Also, I want you to know that you are absolutely not alone. SO many people are struggling after covid.
I think the biggest things to put in place, especially as school gets tougher (which is natural as you get older) are strong study habits, organization, and time management. You can't always control the difficulty of classes, but you CAN control how you deal with that.
So, over the next few weeks, I'd suggest taking some time to first, get yourself organized. If you don't already have one, come up with a system that works to keep all your books, notes, assignments, etc in order. And then STICK to it.
Next, practice some different ways of time management. Do you work better with lists or a planner? Alarms on your phone? Rewarding yourself after every twenty minutes of work with a Tumblr break, or just getting the whole assignment done at once? Reflect on how you manage your time best and make sure those systems are put in place before classes start. Then, STICK to them.
Last, reflect on your study habits. What's the best way for you to study? Do you prefer to read information? Rewrite it in notes? Say it aloud? Make flashcards? Some other way? If you're not sure, try each one. Knowing the best way to study for YOU will help you later when you have tests so you're not wasting time making flashcards if you really benefit more by reading.
Once you figure all this out, make sure to stick to it. Even when it sucks. Because if you do, you won't get as overwhelmed when things start to get tougher. I'll be honest with you, I literally started using a time management strategy I hadn't used since high school just the other day because I had so many things going on and it was SO helpful!
Remember, you've got this! I believe in you!
(Also I am naming you student anon in case you want to write again!)

how my (very shitty) day went:
sat doing absolutely fuck all in my double maths lesson because my friend was in a music exam and I was too stressed and overwhelmed to focus on any revision.
then I went to talk to my head of year (safe person) because I wanted to tell her I was getting a new penguin jellycat, after all she did put up with me on Monday and Tuesday after I lost penelope (she's still missing). I ended up staying in there for the 15 minutes of break I had before my chemistry exam. she said she'd walk me down because she's a chemistry teacher and she didn't have a lesson, plus she knows I'd likely refuse to go in if she wasn't there because I hate exams and maths-y subjects are really difficult for me. she walked me down and I went in and sat down, she made sure I was okay and then went to sort out the rest of the year group who appeared to be congregating outside the hall.
it took them ages to come inside so we started 3 minutes late, by this point I was already off schedule and it was making me anxious. I started my exam as quickly as possible so that I could be finished by what the start time should have been in order to maintain some sense of my routine.
I was 5 questions in and I was doing okay, and it was quite easy, and that's when the boy next to me put his hand up and told the invigilator he had the wrong paper. from that point onwards multiple people put their hands up saying the same thing. that's when I checked, and I had the wrong paper too. the head invigilator (safe person) told us all to stop and they collected our papers in. we were sat in the hall doing nothing for about 15 minutes until one of the assistant heads (safe person) came in and told us we'd be leaving until they could reprint our papers. Once I got out he told me to go to our student support area because he could see I was freaking out and so I went down there and I started having a meltdown.
it was my first fully violent meltdown in school, in which I hurt myself in some way. this time I was punching the wall and just crying and shaking until my bf also came down and held on to my hands to stop it. he gave me hugs and sat with me on the floor for a while (I'm super grateful for him) until my other head of year (safe person) came to tell him to go back to the hall while he dealt with me.
he put me in the quiet room and the lady in there gave me colouring to do because I was still not okay and was scratching at the raw skin on my knuckles from where I punched the wall. my head of year (the first one) came in and talked to me for a bit, she's great with the way I am and knows how stressed I get about change and exams so she offered to let me do the exam in the quiet room but I felt like I was being needy so I said I'd just go back to the hall. it was a mistake though because I could barely focus and my ears were ringing because it was loud (lower school lunchtime) and I just cried the whole way through.
then they told us that the geography exam had been moved by ten minutes so I had another meltdown, which my head of year dealt with very well considering she's never actually seen one happen in full force before, just the aftermath.
my geography exam went okay, my teacher came in at the end and talked to me and let me out first (she's also a safe person), I was just very shaken by everything being moved. I was non verbal a lot today too.
I rel@psed when I got home which made me feel like shit but it's only because of the changes.
my new penguin came so I need to make him a tactile thing to go round his neck like penelope had
(observe penelope's sprout bowtie)
but overall today was FUCKING SHIT and I have a feeling it's going fo make tomorrow even worse. I hate being alive and being me.
#mental health#tw sh#petri vents#i fucking hate mainstream#and exams#and living#and just djpvisosvjd#fml#tw sui
