#big long ramble about my day so far in the tags just cause i felt like sharing #i had a rheumatology appointment today but i was Way early #arrived when the doctors had broken for lunch. the receptionist told me there was a new nature path past the parking lot #and i was like hell why not. maybe i’ll find a cool bug #i did not find many bugs but hooo there were so many birds it was amazing #this fella was the highlight #i was trying to get a picture of it through a bush cause it looked cool #but then it flapped up In Front Of Me. like less than a meter away #and i just stared wide eyed at it for like three seconds #snapped a few pictures because it posed for me for a little #it also gave me a little gift :’) i didn’t catch the poop falling on camera lol #then it flitted off back the way it came #there was also a hummingbird (anna’s hummingbird i think)#and a few others i couldn’t identify. probably a few bushtits and i think two goldfinches at least #and also some really fucking loud geese(?) that i could not find #it was nice. talking a walk here and there is so nice #i did eventually find some bugs. there was a honeybee that was getting blown across the ground by the wind #literally tumbling all the way. i scooped it onto a leaf and put it somewhere a bit less windy #and there was another in a flower that seemed a bit stronger #also there were these little solitary bee home tubes!!! didn’t see any bees come out though #and there was a cat :D #hshshshshdh it’s been nice so far #my appointment went well too #mockingbird blessing :)#if i had a nickel for every time i happened to somehow be allowed within a meter of a bird to get a super clean picture of them #i would have two nickels #which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice /ref #the other instance was of hatchlings too :’D god they were so round and cute #i miss them i hope they had lots of babies

neko/anna/seri being hello kitty girls (not in a crazy psycho egirl gf way just as in liking hello kitty)

Okay but I can see this and Awashima is absolutely the one who gets the other two into it because she has an extensive collection of expensive Hello Kitty stuffed animals. Imagine Awashima inviting Anna and Neko to have like a girl’s day at S4, being all big sisterly to these two kids who are sorely lacking in female role models. They all go to her room to do manicures and chat (after all the other S4 ladies finish squealing over how adorable Anna looks and cuddling cat form Neko). Anna is immediately drawn to Awashima’s giant Hello Kitty plushie due to the red bow and Neko is drawn to it due to being a cat. Imagine Awashima watching them both hug the giant Hello Kitty and asking if either of them know about Hello Kitty. Both of them having had fairly traumatic pasts it happens that they don’t, Anna vaguely recalls seeing Hello Kitty toys when out with her parents before her powers really started to grow and Neko thinks she may have seen pictures on store fronts before but she isn’t sure. Awashima has a very stern and serious face as she says ‘I see.’

Cue one trip to Sanrio Puroland (paid for by S4 of course, Awashima was embarrassed about it but Munakata insisted that this is a good chance for her to unwind), where Awashima can teach Neko and Anna the true cuteness of Hello Kitty. I imagine them all returning with stuffed animals, Awashima has to call for a van to carry her haul while Neko and Anna return to their respective clans with stuffed Hello Kittys bigger than their heads. Awashima also gets everyone a bunch of merchandise, like they both get cute bows and headbands and the whole thing, she even buys Neko a pack of Hello Kitty underwear after Neko manages to misplace hers in the park. Shiro and Kuroh are a bit amused by Neko’s new love of Hello Kitty, I just imagine her bringing her stuffed animal into the dorm and squishing it onto Shiro’s bed all look look Shiro I have a Hello Kitty. Anna’s shyer about her newfound enjoyment of Hello Kitty but Homra are naturally nothing but supportive, imagine all the guys wearing Hello Kitty headbands for Anna’s birthday and Kusanagi makes her a Hello Kitty cake because they’re actually all really happy that she’s finally getting to enjoy something like a child for once.

#elli rambles #I blame theo for giving me the idea (it’s a pj.o lot.r au)#anyway. who wants to hear how I’ve constructed annabeth & rachel’s names in elvish so I can reasonably explain why I ‘translated’ their #names like that?#that’s too bad I’m telling you anyway #annabeth’s name can be constructed completely. quenya ‘anna’ meaning ‘gift’ + sindarin ‘peth’ (+ lenition -> ‘beth’) meaning ‘word’#I could have her be a poet of a writer of some kind to explain the name #I could also go with Q ‘enne’ instead of ‘anna’ meaning ‘thought/purpose’ which rather fits her I think #for rachel it’s harder bc the /tʃ/ doesn’t exist in either quenya or sindarin #but the sequence ‘ty’ (/tj/) does (in quenya) which is similar enough #so I went with Q ‘ré’ meaning ‘day’ + Q ‘tyel’ meaning ‘end’#it could be an epessë (elvish given (nick)name) given to her by annabeth referencing dusk/sunset #technically I /could/ just make her have an undisclosed westron or adûnaic name but where’s the fun in that #also the reason between the changing of vowels is that the e & é are pronounced /ɛ/ & /ɛː/ and /ɛ/ & /eː/ in sindarin & quenya respectively #which is closer to the ‘a’ in their english names than /ɑ/ or /a/#I am aware I’m being a massive nerd about this. in my defence I Am in fact a massive nerd

my wrists are fucked up and i can't work and i'm not getting paid for medical leave even though legally i'm supposed to,

but also my friends are all helping me with chores whenever i ask and keep bringing me food without me asking

and i wanted to leave that job for the past year and also i got fucking permanent residency finally so in theory i can go on EI but of course i still haven't gotten the paperwork i need for that from my old job but at least i'll have health insurance for the rest of my life starting like 4 months from now

and it's been three weeks since i had to stop work so i found a workers' comp union and they helped me file a complaint and i have enough to make rent and a few weeks worth of meds and am having a yard sale over the weekend

and i was going to sell my broke down car but i can't because i haven't paid off my parking tickets but the cars for cash place only offered me 400 bucks for it anyways

two separate friends have crashed on my air mattress while going through breakups during all of this which has honestly been pretty convenient given my inability to cook or clean

and my wrists still hurt but they're healing very slowly and my friends nearby keep checking in to make sure i ask for help if i need it

#i'm very stressed but hopefully i'll figure it out #my friend anna randomly dropped off zucchini bread today #the second breakup-recovery houseguest left today and bought me cleaning supplies as a parting gift #(i did not need cleaning supplies but they were appalled by me handing them a spray with bleach in it to clean the kitchen counters lmao)#they also gave me boric acid bc ants invaded two days ago and they helped me get rid of them #when alyssa was here she cooked me a bunch of meals and chopped and blanched and froze all my vegetables #even allister let me keep the whole food bank haul that i normally split with her this week #oh the injury is tendonitis from work it just got really bad lol. eating was hard for a week or so #now i can type on my phone again (in moderation) and use the bathroom sink and pick cups up without it hurting!#oh AND my grandmother is in the hospital and my parents are coming to visit in a few weeks 🙃
