More Carol and the End of the World: here's a super-wide pan from episode 1 when Carol is pulling out of the driveway and leaving her parents' house (on the left), as well as an earlier piece of pre-vis from before the design of the suburbs was finalized that I painted and still quite like that heavily inspired the colours in this sequence. Percy Jackson AU where all of the foxes are demigods, Andrew meets Neil shortly after his mom dies, and joins him on the run instead of going back to camp. Part one spans from their first meeting to their first kiss; Part two will take place a few years later, when certain circumstances force them to return to camp, and Andrew has to deal with what he left behind, on top of their current problem. While both fics should be able to be read individually, it does make more sense if you read them in order :)

Millport is a horrible, dry as fuck little town in the vast nothingness of the dust hole that is Arizona, and Andrew hates it with vigor.  He has been tracking a horde of Manticores for weeks now, and isn’t that something? A half-blood having to chase after the monsters. He is starting to feel like one of Renee’s hunters, when Andrew is pretty sure the nasty scorpion-cats should want to kill him more then he wants to kill them.  Or, Andrew expected to find all sorts of things on his first quest. He didn’t expect a twitchy, blue-eyed half-blood with monsters on his heels, and he surely didn’t expect to fall in love with him.

He also has a scarred little shithead in tow, that Aaron wants to punch in the face regularily. Life is fun like that.

On Wednesday, the diffused light of dawn coaxes Lydia awake. Her eyes flutter open, smile slowly blossoming when the first thing she sees is the familiar sight of her hand linked to another. She watches those ten effortlessly intertwined digits, rising and falling in harmony with her inhales and exhales, balanced perfectly at the center of the chest that’s connected to the shoulder that supports her head.

For a good thirty seconds, she thinks she’s home with Stiles, the two of them curled up on the comfy couch in the Stilinski living room, his arm warm and reassuring around her.

As the rest of the space comes into focus… the wood planks braced across cathedral ceilings, the textured plaster walls, the towering stone fireplace, its hearth smoldering with faint embers… she remembers that she is in Allison Archer’s cabin in the woods of Larimar. An incalculable distance from Beacon Hills and Stiles.

She cranes her neck to glance at her companion.

Noah is asleep. Head thrown back against the cushions, lips parted and pale pink, airborne particles swirling in a sunbeam above his head like stardust.

Heart squeezing, she gazes at him for a moment.

In the three days they’ve been together, she has only seen him sleep once, that afternoon by the lake where they stopped to have lunch. Every night, he has been the last to bed; every morning, the first to wake.

I’d just accepted an offer for a full-time job and really needed to get away for a few days. It was just as magical a place as the book made it out to be.

Abigail Hobbs from nbc Hannibal (watching her struggle to deal with her past and her father while enduring accusations from the fbi/reporters and being forced into the murder husband's life during this whole thing is so fascinating and I wish I could know more about her as a character)

Allison McRoberts from Kevin Can Fuck Himself (the blurring of lines between her trying to break free from her horrible husband while becoming horrible herself and trying to fix it is a refreshing choice and I'm glad to see more problematic/complicated protagonists)

Nica Peirce from Child's Play/Chucky franchise (she is a clever kickass survivor and I hope she gets her revenge)

Furiosa from Mad Max Fury Road (she is a beautifully unstoppable force of nature and I love her no notes)

Jennifer from Revenge (while I'm not a fan of the rape revenge genre, I enjoy seeing her fight back against her attackers and reclaim her sexuality)

Annie Newton from The Invisible (I doubt most people have seen this movie but please, go watch it, she is amazing)
