Back from my birthday hiatus, and um, wow... was not expecting this kind of overwhelmingly positive reaction to a simple QRT about how we used Dissolve Mode in our BG paintings on Carol and the End of the World (see last image) - since people seemed to have enjoyed that so much, I thought I'd put all the pages of the Carol and the End of the World BG Paint style guide I drafted in one post! TBH I'd been meaning to do this for awhile but kept forgetting since I have it in a different folder than the BG paintings themselves... I believe all the paintings are mine and all the designs are by Alex Myung unless otherwise noted. I wrote this pretty early on pre-vis, so some of these guidelines got a little massaged during production, but the broad strokes are definitely still there! This wasn't the only style guide on the show BTW! A couple of our other leads Alex Myung and Kal Athannassov also put together a BG and Character Design style guide that are super cool - unfortunately I don't have the files myself (nor would I feel comfortable posting work that's not mine) nor do I think they've posted them yet, so if you two were looking for a sign to do so, this is it!! I don't usually do fanart, but if my followers will indulge me this week, I made an exception for my favourite character for the FNAF 10th anniversary celebration, because what can I say? I am but a simple girl who likes Springtrap! 🐰🔪 What're you most excited for this week? Going in, I was most excited for Into the Pit (which I still am of course!), but honestly every day has been exciting so far: I am unbelievably hyped for The Secret of the Mimic in 2025, VIP was a fun and interesting introduction to the new book series, FNAFxDBD is HUGE and a match made in heaven, FLAF looks fun and lore drops on the Steam page are WILD, and all the FNAF 2 movie teaser photos have me SO excited for the Toy Animatronics... and I think we're getting the Withereds too!? I wonder if we'll get a Puppet teaser!? 😵‍💫 We are truly eating this week - I don't want it to end!! 😍🍽️ Stay tuned for the process video next week, and we can talk about Into the Pit, ha ha!!

Just got back from Oogie Boogie Bash last night and had a BLAST!! The food was great, the ride lines were short, and Judge Doom absolutely ROASTED me, ha ha!! Taking a brief intermission from Carol and the End of the World art to share a handful of My Adventures with Superman backgrounds I painted from season 2 episode 1!! Unsure who designed these specifically since I was just freelancing, but if anyone knows, please drop the name in the comments so I can credit them! I really enjoyed painting the Star Labs interior in particular! It's projects like this that seriously make me wish I could make copies of myself just so I could work on more cool projects with cool people - there's just not enough hours in the day! The other super-wide pan from episode 1 after Carol leaves her parents' house in episode 1 - if you've seen the show, this shot was particularly ambitious because as the scene plays out, we literally zoom into Carol through her car window while she's driving to see her emotions. Process video from last week's fanart - geez, has it really only been one week!? I thought time was supposed to fly when you're having fun, but man, that anniversary celebration felt like it lasted a whole month or something! Maybe it's just the sheer variety of things that happened that made it feel so long. Anyways, new plan: DON'T discuss Into the Pit actually because the console releases aren't until later this month, so let's wait until everyone has a chance to play - instead, share your favourite day from the FNAF 10th Anniversary Week! For me, it's hard to choose between VIP, the Scott interview, and the Steel Wool announcement trailer- I guess if I had to pick one, it'd be the last one just for how hype it was...? I'm sure ITP will be my favourite by a longshot once we get the console release though - can't wait!!

More Carol and the End of the World: here's a super-wide pan from episode 1 when Carol is pulling out of the driveway and leaving her parents' house (on the left), as well as an earlier piece of pre-vis from before the design of the suburbs was finalized that I painted and still quite like that heavily inspired the colours in this sequence. Told ya' I'd get back to posting more Carol and the End of the World eventually! Here's some colour keys of the boss' office: something we discussed early on was how the closed blinds in his office were representative of his mental state and feelings towards the end of the world - literally blocking Keppler out of his view, and we wanted that to be clearly reflected in the lighting of the space even when they weren't on-screen, which is what we were exploring here.

One of my favourite silly little details: a framed photo of Business Men Doing Business Things! Since the lineart I was provided was just a rough, it didn't have a design in the frame, so I just improvised, ha ha - pretty sure we changed it in the final design, though, so enjoy this little peek behind the curtains!
