To me if you truly care about Olivia and Fitz as a couple you need them to stop with what made you fall in love with them. Every time I get sad I rewatch 106 or 208 and I love those eras but that never could be sustainable. They can't be each other's everything. It's the hook that makes fans fall in love with them and root for their happiness but truly the end goal always was for them to love each other in a way that they don't become suicidal when they're apart.

Like truly the extent of Olivia's depresion in season 2 post-Defiance, the trauma after the kidnapping, Fitz after Defiance too, after Jerry's death, season 5 post that fucking break up that I haven't rewatched ever since the episode first came out bc it was that bad.

They love each other but that love can't stop their individual problems. Fitz actually tried to kill himself (which was never explored properly). Olivia was self-harming throughout the entire damn show. Let's not kid ourselves, from season 3 forward every time she fucked Jake that was an expression of her self-hatred, she hated her father but never could escape him. Always putting up with people who don't love her or respect her (we should always drag Mellie's white ass. she loves to explore black women fuck her). You can say you miss season 1 Liv but let's not act like she was doing well she was 100% lying to herself and Amanda Tanner exposed all of it.

You shouldn't be nostalgic for what never could work. Great scenes but Olivia and Fitz needed to grow before actually being together.

this is rooted in "you had to be there in 2016-2018" mindset in which the fandom was popping, we were young and innocent and full of zeal. and we sat thru the airing season 1 only for volpina to be the last aired episode (since it aired out of order) and then we had to sit for 2 years in hiatus.

how do i summarize this succinctly... with lila's appearance she had the potential to be the perfect marinette foil and anti-chloe. for example:

marinette: h8es lying but still has to lie for her identity. lila: wields lies but doesn't necessarily hurt anyone (in fanon, we were like she just did it to make friends).

chloe h8s marinette but loves LB. lila hates LB but could love marinette (with the assumption that we all thought mari would feel guilty post-volpina and try to make it up by being nice in civilian form)

those are both fun dynamics and the potential was mainly introduced via that one sorarts comic (and also this other one) and it was also the fuel for my biggest ML longfic (apparently The lilanette fic, at least at one point idk if it still is)

anyway that became like a whole thing where i started lilanette week and have run it a total of 7 times over like 7-8 years? so i was really in it. made a lot of friends, collabed on projects, i even did a lilanette secret santa?? it was the crux of my participation in ML fandom (and the reason why im friends with one of my best internet homies) and infinitely more compelling than "those two were made for each other" pathetic white bread.

EVEN when lila wasn't an UWU-lies-for-friends-because-insecure and she was a snake, it was interesting to have scenarios where marinette might need to reluctantly rely on lila for whatever reason. and in the end, any potential for her to become interesting was smashed just as astruc smashed any potential for anything in his show so it is sad. and i keep coming back every once in awhile out of nostalgia, and also spite.

canon ships? there's a universe where the love square is good and interesting, same with alya/nino but we don't live in that universe so they are bad and i don't like them as presented in canon.

First, the ranking based on the anime only:

1) Toji--> I know he's not part of the yanderes but hear me out THIS HOMELESS GROWN-ASS MAN HAS BEEN HAUNTING MY DREAMS, MY DAYS AND MY NIGHTS FOR ALMOST A YEAR, THIS IS NOT FUNNY ANYMOOOOOORE 😰.

2) Suguru--> Me trying my best not to cry seeing my all time favs not being included 🥲. Joke aside, really liked the fact he wanted to "mercy kill" Mizu cause he knew what it was like to be Satoru's prey. Really heartbreaking, my poor babies.

3) Choso--> Well... my type is hard working, muddy guy 😅. Finally we enter the yandere grounds 🥳. Fun Fact: Absolute first jjk man who stole my heart, seeing only 2min of him in season one.

4) Sukuna--> Me looking at my RoR Ranking with Shiva on top 👀💧. What can I say... Four-Armed Men=Best kind of Men, certified Monster-Lover here.

5) Yuuta--> My sweet cutie babyyyy 😭😭 made me scream when we saw him at the end of season 2 with his big ass weirdo eyes...

6) Satoru--> Well... I understand. He's like, bred to be perfect, but I never was any Gojosexual to be honest (all my homies love Toji-).

7) Megumi/Yuuji--> I love them as characters, really, but the ranking is mostly based on the HoRnY... they're adorable, but... not in a sexy kinda way?

8) Kashimo--> To be honest, like every character introduced during the Culling Games (the only exception being Gigami Chadguruma) , this one absolutely never impacted me in any kind of way. I'm utterly neutral about him. Nice buns tho.

That being said... oh boy, time for the Tsunami ranking!

(1) Megumi/Yuuji--> Look at my bois, how sweet they are😭. They climb at the top because I just reaally loved their interactions with Hime. They have yet to disappoint me, and I just feel they would treat her the "best" out of all the suitors. I could be wrong tho. Also the way you write Megumi😳, it made me realise the potential of HoRnY- Was wishing he would fu** her in front of Yuuta's camera-

(2) Sukuna--> I stayed up all night just to read your Shisui flashback. It may be my favorite segment of your story, how talented can you be? Ryomen Sukuna... he is the one who has the most reason to be obsessed with Mizuhime, he helps her with exorcism when Gojo puts her down, he has four arms 🤤... He could have been my favorite but to be honest, I feel like his ending would be the absolute worst for Mizuhime (being the King of Curses, the final antagonist etc...). And I just love her so very much, she needs at least one good ending 😭

(3) Choso--> Ok hear me out- I know I may be biased, we hadn't really seen him yet, but it seems he would be kinda like Yuuji. I think he could treat her well. And he's just so clueless, how cute🥺. I makes me wonder: would he be aware of Yuuji's love for Mizuhime? If so, would he try to be a good "big bro" and support his little brother, or would he be selfish and try to keep her for himself? (I think I already know the answer-)

(4) Satoru--> Like someone famous said: "Certified LoverBoy, Certified Ped******"! Maaaan, no wonder Hime wants him to stay in his box, he's so nasty🤣. Gross, disgusting, pathetic, obsessed, overpowered, terrifying... He's the worst, but he's so funny to read at the same time. Let's not even talk about his Heian counterpart... As I said, I never was a big fan of this character, but with all the Jjk fic I read, I can say your portrayal of Gojo is my favorite in all the FanficVerse. It may be the same with other characters, but especially for him. How dreadful, to be the object of obsession of the Strongest in the World... He is still at the bottom tho, we don't need this creep around Hime ever again.

(5) Kashimo--> I have no expectation with this one, as I've said earlier. The electricity power seems interesting, but honestly write him however you want. Seeing your blog he seems like a little shit too.

(6) YuUtA🤬--> Well... if you paid attention in the Pjo/RoR ranking, you already know where this is going. Don't you wonder, what's the point of the dual rankings anyway? I use this to compare how high can a character climb (Megumi/Yuuji, Loki) and how low can he fall. And man, HOW LOW DID YUUTA FALL. It breaks my heart because during the first part I was the biggest YuutaHime apologist. He has seen her fucked up family, he bought her books, plushies, he was sweeeet 😭... If he was a yandere "on his own", maybe I could have let it slide, but how can you go from "Damn Hime your relatives are a bunch of creepy weirdos" to "No u can't unfiance me uwu cause I'm ✨️Daddy's Special Boy in Law✨️" Do you know what happens when you do shit like that? I'm gonna tell you, you earn the [Whiny Little Bitch] stamp. Actually, maybe it was my fault. Shouldn't have put all my faith on the Panty Stealer to begin with. I may be harsher with him because, unlike Gojo or Sukuna, this kind of yandere is not cartoonish evil. The way he acts (manipulation, baby-trapping, forced union enabled by the relatives), it seems... way more realistic. It's not funny or entertaining, it's just... sad. I don't want my best girl to end up like the 2nd Sanyu. Not to say the way you wrote him is bad, it was the best to show us how much of a LOSER he is. If you go check out my ibisPaint acc, you'll see it's even named after Bigsisterbunny, 'cause she's my mascot. I started on my OC's references, and soon decided I wanted to make some for Violet's OCs too. At that time, since she didn't have an account, what was I to call her OCs collectively? I couldn't claim they belonged to someone who's existence had zero proof. I said they were mine. Violet didn't seem to mind. Eventually, it became gradually accepted by the small community who knew me that this person is "Bigsisterbunny". I was very excited, and so decided to make some refs for them too. I can't tell y'all how much I love those idiots/lh, and soon, they were "mine" too. By this point, Violet told me that this was getting out of hand. Every time she made a new OC, would they automatically be mine? I knew and saw the logic here, but refused to listen. How could I possibly let go of these precious little beings and transfer ownership to the real owner? I think, around this time, Violet had started her ibisPaint acc. Time went on, and I insensitively dismissed Violet any time she'd say she wanted her OCs back. Of course, it was understandable. One day, she told me that she wanted them back, and ASAP. She said it was rather hard to watch the characters, the very characters she had poured her heart and soul into, be "someone else's". To watch someone else get credit for the writing she did. Indeed, I hadn't even credited her. I had no reason not to, now that she had an account. But I didn't want to. Shouldn't that be a good enough reason? I was stupidly upset, probably because any fame I had earned wouldn't have been possible without Violet's OCs. Half of my artworks were about them. In the end, understanding how upset Violet was, and letting go of my dumb ego, I promised I'd publicly give them back. And here I am, doing just that. I'm truly very sorry, Violet. I should have been more considerate. I guess I got carried away and rather obsessed with your amazing OCs. Honestly, I just planned to represent them for you until... you could do so yourself. Still, I'm very and truly sorry. I hope you can forgive me. I will no longer refer to your OCs as "mine" and will credit you any time I make art of them. Thanks to anyone who took their time to read all that, and I also sincerely apologize to anyone who got mislead by this tangled up mess.

Ok elaborate on the white water kayaking if you would like bc that’s incredible

this is. maybe the thing i think about most lol. NO idea how much people know about kayaking but uh. ask me!

so whitewater kayaking is interesting as a sport bc while there ARE major racing events (the green race!! the north fork championship!! go look them up they’re SICK) it is generally not a formalized racing series that culminates in a trophy like in motorsports. like there’s no seating for spectators even. you get to these races by hiking two hours through the woods and parking your ass on a rock by the river and hoping you don’t fall in bc you are BLASTED drunk. they’re big parties most of the time!

so while the best kayakers in the world DO compete in these things and win them, the sport is frankly more about doing sick stunts with your friends on beautiful rivers all over the world than like. cutthroat fanatical competition. which bezz (who HATED racing against people as a kid never wanted to fight on the track to go fast) would LOVEEEE imo. also literally it is bad practice to go boating alone you NEED a homie with you at all times that’s how you run shuttle that’s how you set safety that helps you scout rapids it is a homie-based activity!!! and bez loves his friends SOOOO bad and especially loves to do dumb life-threatening stuff with them. that’s what big water boating IS.

and it’s just. some aspects of the stuff happening at the ranch and the broader culture of whitewater is very similar in terms of vibes to meeeee. like the adrenaline addiction the injuries the constant threat of death the long hair the dumb tats the earrings the SAME fucking sunglasses kayakers get just cheaper ones. the energy drink sponsorships the going skiing 24/7 in the off-season…. that’s a fucking kayaker to me lol. i look at him and genuinely question why he is not in a dry suit bombing waterfalls in chile. #beater #steazy #booflife he’d love it so bad.

and i AM saving all of my narrative thoughts on bezz kayaking for a fic one day maybe. problem is i don’t know shit about the whitewater scene in italy so i’d have to make these boys like. appalachian. but i do know cele would have the world’s most atrocious rookie crush on hot trip leader bezz and when cele dump trucks a raft and has to do a swim beer out of his nasty bootie (whitewater has like. a reverse shoey system where you only do them if you fuck up) and bezz like, puts his big hand on the back of cele’s neck as he chugs this nasty beer (for maximum crazy this is bezz’s shoe bc cele is a rookie and didn’t want to shell out for the whitewater specific shoe and is wearing chacos) and cele has a small religious experience and flushes BRIGHT RED.

anyways if you want to check out some sick kayakers and are curious regarding the vibe i recommend following aniol serrasolses (catalan legend), nouria newman (badass. has yelled at my brother), and evy liebfarth (from my hometown!). liebfarth is going to the olympics this year in kayaking slalom which IS a formalized racing series but one that generally takes place on closed courses and such and is a small niche in the broader culture of the sport. still very cool and very hard to do. there is also dane jackson who is the arguable GOAT of the sport i just think he’s kind of swagless and one time he put my brother on youtube after he dislocated his shoulder when they were paddling the royal gorge like. cmon man. also his daddy owns a major kayaking manufacturer booooo. he does win the green race like literally every year which IS annoying. to me.

Idea for a story

I mentioned this in my Edmond post, but I have an Eiden/Edmond fic planned for sometime in the future! In the fic, Edmond will accidentally gain an animal companion. The fic will be told from Eiden perspective, as he watches Edmond grow his relationship with his little friend. I haven’t decided if it will include any NSFW elements, but if it does, the animal friend may or may not encourage Edmond to spend quality time with his “mate.” :)

Unpopular opinion

This might be more of an unpopular headcanon than an unpopular opinion, but I refuse to believe the theory that Eiden is a fragment of Huey (and that Rin is the other half). Absolutely not!!!!

If I’m being honest, this is moreso just wishful thinking/heavy denial on my part. The support for that theory is, objectively, fairly promising so far. But unless it’s explicitly spelled out for us, I vehemently refuse to believe it.

Why, you ask? Because I am a proud member of the Huey Haters Club!!!! Fuck Huey, all my homies hate Huey!!!!! But I like Eiden, so I do not want him to be directly associated with the original Huey’s literal soul. Being Huey descendant is fine, or maybe even an alternate version of Huey from the Earth dimension (à la NU World), but NOT Klein’s original Huey!!! Please, I am begging and praying!!!!!

Eiden has a FUCKton of suppressed rage. Like, we have seen angry Eiden at certain parts of the story (especially the early parts, like when he’s meeting Kuya and Dante) and during events. We also know from childhood flashbacks that he was a grumpy and angry kid. However, I think that’s only scratching the surface.

You know how several of the clan members have repressed their sexuality? I think Eiden represses the full extent of his anger. He has dealt with so much shit his entire life, he’s probably boiling with fury, but he’s learned not to express it because it’ll only make things worse for him. So, while he's well-adjusted an mature for the most part, I think there's a big hidden side of him that's itching to FIGHT, y'know?

greatest hits of 2023 🥳✨ happy hogmanay!

1. i celebrated my 30th birthday and got thoroughly spoiled. my sister took me to belfast. we saw the sights and got hoolit, having a blast!! i hosted a joint housewarming (a year later hahaha) and 30th w the fam at my wee hoose too and it was braw too 🥰

2. i took part in nano and doubled my word count for my own original novel!! i picked it up again after months of it sitting collecting dust and thanks to the discord homies i was able to keep on top of it, stay motivated, and get excited about it again!! forever grateful for that 🩷

3. i took a scary step and left a job i'd been in for 10 years (majority of it spent unhappy in it hahaha but thanks to work besties i endured 😤🩷) and got a new one!!!! it is something completely different and much more challenging and enjoyable (and more pay 😌✌️). love it

4. lots and lots of reading!! i managed to squeeze in one more book today to hit 100 books read this year!! i went on so many adventures it was so much fun!!

5. lots of excellent holidays. we went to loch tay, aviemore, isle of harris, and the isle of skye. lots of adventures were had!

6. my sister got engaged!! i was such a proud big sister and couldn't be happier for the two of them 🩷

7. my sister picked me as her maid of honour for her wedding and i legit cried when she told me hahahaha but i'm so happy!! looking forward to it 🥰

8. my bestie and i are keeping going strong w our the x files podcast, which mainly involves us screeching over msr. we have the best laughs and so much fun. we're getting close to almost half way through season 2!

9. new kitchen!!!! i bought and picked out a new kitchen for my wee flat and it's getting installed next week. buzzing to finally having a working oven hahaha and creating a wee place which is all me 💚

10. 2 months into my new home, at the start of the year, i hosted a hen night for my cousin in my house and it was a hit! i was so pleased w my hosting abilities haha

honourable mention - that random few weeks where i did "pizza and prosecco fridays" hahahaha where i got a create your own pizza from the shops for my tea and a wee bottle of prosecco (enough for only 1 glass) and challenged myself to write a royai oneshot in that evening. it got me write back into writing for royai which was exciting!! and i had never truly appreciated the reality of finally working a mon -fri, 9-5 job until then. it was delightful in the longer evenings 🥰

Ok! So ever-present pacing issues aside, the overarching story made for a solid episode and the animation was incredible. Hell, even the things I disliked objectively looked well-done out of context. Overall, that was no small feat to pull off, especially in such harsh working conditions. I truly do want to acknowledge that.

But in regards to 132, you guys already put into words how I feel better than I could. I may not have anything new to add, but I’ll say what I liked first and then put my issues under a cut.

As someone who actually really likes Yams’ art style, I loved that they consistently kept Hange’s face accurate to the manga. It was really inconsistent throughout the final season and they struggled to not make it too short a lot of times. Hange was always still stunning of course but the difference always stuck out to me. Here everyone was drawn well, but you can tell she got some extra attention.

The way they inched Levi closer to where Hange was sitting while talking with Yelena. Insignificant yeah but consistent with their past behavior. Also I’m glad they tweaked the position of his bandages so it looked less like they were painfully tugging upwards on his nose.

The “unrequited love” exchange. It had most of the softness and emotion from the manga even though the weight of that line will never be realized in non-written form. The camera lingered on each frame in a way that conveyed the sentiment. This is what got my hopes up that they would stay truer to the source material with DYH.

I'm so glad they left in Hange's lines to Flochroach about not giving up. Helps show—once again—that they wanted to live

The choked way Levi said “Devote your heart” + Hange’s widened eye and soft gasp at his words. Though not tearing up like in the manga, the shot still looked lovely for the half second it lasted. He doesn't pause halfway through saying it though so this one I'm still wrestling with.

Of course, the last stand. Onscreen, Hange took out at least 16 colossals (including the ones we see trip and get trampled) and definitely more offscreen (when they cut away to show other characters) and for the last few, did it while in the most pain a human body can feel. 7/10 for combat, my ass. Idk about y’all but I can’t stop hearing Romi Park’s screams in my head. I knew it would be nauseating and brutal but dear God. At the same time I cannot put into words how proud I am of them. That's my commander 💜

Ok “like” is definitely not the right word for this but I had wondered when I first read 132 how Hange’s gas tank was so well-insulated that it didn’t ignite, and.. well I got my answer.

I’m thankful that they didn’t show a glimpse of Hange’s bloody, crushed remains the way you see in the og panel. That at least felt respectful to me. This is wishful thinking I know but the defined charred outline makes me choose hope they fell more off to the side from where the titans were walking so at least there was maybe still a body left to recover someday.

The afterlife scene, the kids all sobbing their hearts out, Levi holding his own hand in the aftermath trying to process what just happened, and Onyankopon confirming the plane’s significance all really were appropriately gut-wrenching.

I really recommend taking a little break between The Rumbling and Sinners. It definitely makes the shift in emotion less jarring and less

I’ll try to leave out my og issues with the manga chapter itself (like how painfully obvious it was all just to make Armin commander and how unnecessary Hange dying was IN THE FIRST PLACE and IF it had to happen at all how it could have been done at the final boss skelepalooza showdown, etc.) and just focus on the episode.

Goes without saying but it bears repeating: pacing. 75% of my issues with the execution of DYH would be gone if they just slowed down a bit. Just let the weight of it sink in a little. That this moment —all shreds of shipping aside— is the end of the line for these two heroes who have been supporting each other for ten years while bearing the weight of the world on their shoulders. But Mappa completely reversed the timing of the sequence of events. In the manga we had a longer, more intimate farewell followed by a last stand that was so short even when you knew it was coming it left you reeling from how fast it was from start to finish. Whereas here they hurried it along to get to the “main event”. Hell, it flows better in gif sets than it does in the actual show.

To me, it felt like Hange’s demeanor didn’t really change from talking with the kids to speaking with Levi, making their false bravado seem like less of a front. I know their tone was meant to sound like they were keeping up appearances, but with how often Hange just gets reduced solely to being a titan freak the way they had Romi say the lines made it sound like actual excitement, especially with the way they drew Hange's facial expressions (more on that next)

Hange’s little smirk after the salute. I kinda get what they were trying to do here but to me it came off as very flippant and dismissive of Levi’s choice of words, especially since they all but got rid of their lips trembling and eye beginning to well up with tears. I wish we’d gotten the big fake smile and laugh because that would have shown better that Hange was overcompensating by trying to put their brave face back on after starting to lose their composure. Their fear is obvious in the manga but it just simply didn’t come through as well throughout this entire exchange.

Sooo Hange almost tears up when Pieck said their words inspired her yet minutes later when their Best Friend tries to say goodbye there’s nowhere near that kind of reaction? Sure, Jan

Levi’s face. Ok look. It’s not a lack of emotion on his part that bothers me. It’s that it’s an entirely different one to begin with. He looks bummed at first yes, but then that changes to what I’m guessing is supposed to be determination which comes off as anger or annoyance (kinda like what changed with his scene with Armin on the stairs). They removed what made this parting different from previous ones, which was the sense of open vulnerability and the dawning realization that now he’s going to have to let Hans go too. See it's not like they were in the middle of the battle just yet. This situation came on suddenly and unexpectedly; it wasn't "supposed" to happen. One second they were on track and the next Hange is being torn away by fate. And yes, the highlights play a part in that transition. Anyone who draws eyes knows the importance of placement and intensity and the major impact they have over the final expression. And when drawing a comic you certainly don’t take up valuable page space with three panels focusing on the hope draining out of someone’s eyes if it wasn’t supposed to be the focus. I mean for fuck's sake, even the Final Season!Nendoroid Levi got it right. Plus, if they could make a point of getting Eren's eyes right during the raid on Liberio they could have gotten it here.

When the camera cuts to the kids watching the titans fall the angle doesn’t let you see that Levi can’t bring himself to watch for more than just a second

NOT MAPPA’s FAULT but since I’m being whiny right now I’m going to add that while ACWNR is a mixed bag to begin with, WIT’s adaptation not including Levihan’s introduction saddens me bc Levi asking Hange to keep watching loses a bit of extra oomph.

Really it just comes down to the fact that there was nothing wrong with the original page. It wasn’t overdone or dragged out by any means but considering many other scenes got shot-for-shot depictions I don’t think we were asking for anything outrageous by wanting a faithful adaptation. The couple frames we got that were almost perfect were so freakin fast you barely had time to process them before it cut away.

I wanted to like it, I really did. Especially since MAPPA did so many things so incredibly well as a whole. My expectations weren’t high, and I did want to give it the benefit of the doubt. But when it came to DYH, it felt both watered down and disjointed, like a completely different scene.

But so it goes. At the end of the day, Hange still dies a horrifying, demeaning death for plot convenience, and Levi is left behind to suffer once again. It was always going to hurt and I was never going to be ready for it, no matter how it was done.

played kids' baseball/softball until i was like 10/11 bc i was constantly in the outfield and nobody can pitch until you get to like. high school. so it was boring and i hated it so i quit. i was on dance team for a while until i had to drop it bc recital dates kept being on the same days as school band concerts. was in marching band throughout high school, which counts bc i was a percussionist and had to lug around those heavy drum harnesses

Idk if this is an unpopular opinion or what but here goes:

Demon Dean is *really* boring.

Like when he was turned into a vampire and was cured in the same episode that was understandable because it was, yk, one episode, but this was like the whole big reveal at the end of season 9??

Like I already knew what was going to happen (thanks spn tumblr) but I was genuinely interested in seeing where this lead.

3 episodes into the season and he's cured. Now don't get me wrong maybe there's more to come but at the moment we've seen him be sort of cool in the first episode and then deteriorate into just plain boring.

I love the scene where he stalks Sam around the bunker and has the 'Here's Johnny' moment with the moral question of 'Will Sam kill his own brother??' It was was really good interaction. And then it was over.

It feels like at the end of season 9 the writers wanted to try something different, see where things went, then when season 10 started they got scared and just retconned the whole idea. I would have loved to see the interactions between Demon Dean and other characters properly, like in Season 7 with Soulless Sam (thus is great alliteration) but alas we see him being homies with Crowley then get cured with minimal other stuff.

I do however agree with the first blade being taken away- it was too powerful for it to be a continuous weapon since it was basically a kill-all.

Plus Demon Dean had some solid points about their own self righteous nature.

Teen Wolf (2011-2016, 2023) Okay, I'm not necessarily proud of this one, but it was my favorite show when it was on for it's five seasons and I unironically loved the movie this year. Did it have LOTS of problems? Yes. Do I care? No. Scott McCall is one of my favorite characters of all time. Derek Hale was a flop his entire life and I loved him for it. I legit have two arrow tattoos cause of this show dammit, lol.

Shameless (2011-2021) I'm ghetto white trash. I come from two lines of Slavs and American poor. I will always love it. Was it outlandish? Yeah. Did it show some real ass shit? Yeah. Did I cry at it more than once? Yeah. Did Ian and Mickey getting married heal my heart? No, but it was very nice to see. I legit live in my childhood home on the southside. I am a gay with bipolar. OZ (1997-2003) I started watching this show way too young. It was the most ridiculous, dramatic, ain't shit, had no business show. And yet I still own the DVDs and made my best friend start watching it. She's mad as hell at it, but she agreed to watch it knowing she would be mad as hell. And she's now the one being like "fuck we can watch another season, I hate this fuckass show but I want to watch." A win is a win.

Generation Kill (2008) Yes, the American military complex is bad af. But this show is funny as fuck. It didn't hesitate to show these dudes are just regular ass dudes. There was no hero worship. My bestie and I still quote it to each other all the time. Plus the HBO War fandom was amazing back in the day. So many good edits and fics.

I still love this show, but maturing is watching it and realizing Ben and Michael were the best couple, Melanie was never wrong and should have left Lindsay, Lindsay was bisexual and needed therapy to stop being dickmatized by her gay best friend she never got to sleep with because he's a gay man, Justin also needed therapy for so many reasons like so many, and Brian needed to like just stop just stop in general.  Also, it legit took 5 YEARS and Justin also almost being killed for Brian to say "I love you" and we all just celebrated that like it was the greatest thing despite it taking FIVE YEARS. Again, it was all we had. But I still love how it showed gay people having sex and enjoying it and not really much shame or whatever. And the "admit the truth, you love him" speech is something I STILL quote for my ships to this day. Like it was very "we're here, we're queer, get used to it" and that was AMAZING for 14 year old baby gay Clyde.

South Park (1997-Present) It's ain't shit to it's core. It's hilarious. It's still my humor. I've been watching since season 7. Sometimes I don't agree with the takes, but lots of times I do. And when it's not even trying to have a take it's just straight funny. When I'm in a low cycle, I put it on and can at least get some laughs, which is hard to do when I can't even get myself to shower and leave my house.

South of Nowhere (2005-2008) Okay. Listen. I'm a gay lady. I wasn’t really coming to terms with it in my teens, despite having a whole ass friend I was having sex with despite being like THIS MEANS NOTHING THIS IS NORMAL IT'S NORMAL TO GET NAKED WITH YOUR HOMIE RIGHT and then she moved and I gay panicked and didn't return her calls ever and ignored her on myspace, then this show came out and I was like ...oh. Oh I see. So yeah. The N had a show about a teenage lesbian realizing she was a lesbian cause she fell in love with her out bisexual friend. And then they had a relationship! And they stayed in it! And like they had sex and it was normal and fine and just yeah. This show meant a lot to me.

TharnType (2019-2021) Honestly I haven't had this show for very long personally but it is one of my favorites. I've watched it twice in less than a year. It's a hot ass mess. It's perfect. It's problematic and toxic and everything I love. Type is on that "I can hit my bitch" gay energy from back in the late-00s, which is bad don't get me wrong, but it's so delicious to watch because he's just so small, angry, and hopelessly in love. He really got the D one time ONE TIME and stayed gagging for it for the REST OF HIS LIFE. That is amazing. That is art. If you can't see how that's not the greatest thing you've ever seen, I'm sorry I can't help you. Techno remains my favorite friend in all of the BL shows I've watched now because everything he did, EVERYTHING, was gold. Lhong was BATSHIT INSANE and it was the greatest thing I've ever witnessed. My bestie has ZERO interest in any of my "gay Thai shows" but she has said she will watch this one with me because "it sounds ridiculous and it's just gonna make me mad, but you already have me watching OZ and that makes me mad so let's do it." Plus it's got "her boy" Mew. It's amazing. I'm making my straight bestie watch it and I am already so ready to watch her watch this show. I even liked the sequel. Type and Techno were really out here like IS HE CHEATING ON YOU WITH THIS GIRL like Tharn was not a whole ass homosexual who already had the convo back in college about trying pussy once and going ew. He really put on a fire fit to scare off a woman claiming his GAY man. Amazing. How could anyone hate this show. I don't understand. lol
