All this talk about how poorly fem players are treated makes me wanna gatekeep Ash Echoes now 😭 I'm scared of men finding it and demanding more waifus and ruining our equal ratio

i have good news for you then!!!

-- ash echoes has more female players than male (and wow look at that, instead of choosing to cater to the dominant group, they decide to switch to a 1:1 ratio cuz fans demanded equality!)

-- for some strange reason most male players don't like the whole "tactical strategy live combat" thing going on????? not just for ash echoes, but in gacha games in general. idk apparently they find it too hard and prefer combat systems like genshin/wuwa/hsr

-- they're also not fond of the light novel-esque story telling but to each their own 🤷‍♀️ i love it cuz it allows for more in-depth storytelling

-- it's a very mature audience too so less drama and annoying people tbh. the company has this old game series (gujian) back in the early 2010s and earned a very loyal fanbase from it. and since some of the ash echoes characters are also from those prev games, a lot of the gujian fans went there too! so there's more older fans and literally the only drama that came from them was when they were pissed af when aurogon (the company) tried to go a waifu-only root and got scolded so bad they switched to 1:1 😭

ash echoes actually has a lot of things that would, for some odd reason, deter those types of male players so i'm not too worried. it's a very niche fandom so it's not too popular rn

and also, it's not really all the male players that are the problem, it's just the really misogynistic and homophobic ones that want to kick out female and queer players because they want a "waifu only" game.... and yet never go to play the actual waifu only games like nikke, honkai impact 3rd, or brown dust 💀 always gotta go to the mixed gender games instead and demand they cater to them only 💀
