URGENT:
Iranian activist, Pakhshan Azizi, is threatened with execution after five months of torture in Iranian prisons She was a peaceful protester and humanitarian worker. Do not let the world forget Iran's oppression!
Link to petition: Avaaz - Stop her execution - Free Pakhshan!
Email and/or call your representatives/senators to put pressure on the UN! Here's a brief sample I wrote up; Dear [Representatives name] I urge you to turn your eyes to the plight of the people trapped under Iran's oppression. America is a country that stands for freedom and democracy for all, and it is a grave injustice that not every country has this right. Iran uses forms of brutal torture, with solitary confinement, eye gouging, and rape only being some of them. Tragically, these horrible methods are used against anyone ranging from political prisoners to peaceful protesters who only wish the best for those around them. We must not forget the repression in Iran. Just because they've silenced their people, it doesn't mean we have to stop listening. One peaceful protester, Pakhshan Azizi, is about to be executed. I am pleading with you to do everything you can to prevent this and future tragedies in Iran.
Thank you for your time - [Your name]

Death sentences during the Mahsa Amini protests is a list of Iranian citizens sentenced to death or charged with crimes punishable by death in the Islamic Republic of Iran during the Mahsa Amini protests. Following rushed trials that were widely criticized by human rights organizations, the Islamic Republic has executed ten protestors, Mohsen Shekari, Majidreza Rahnavard, Mohammad Mehdi Karami, Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini, Saleh Mirhashemi, Majid Kazemi, Saeed Yaghoobi, Milad Zohrevand, Mohammad Ghobadlou and Reza Rasaei. Dozens of protesters have been charged with offenses that are punishable by death in Iran.
The list does not include demonstrators who have been killed by police during the protests, and it does not include people who received death sentences for convictions unrelated to the protests.

It seems like Iran intercepted nearly every 'Israeli' attack on Iran.

Dear friends, kind-hearted strangers,
I don't know why I didn't get enough support or donate recently, are a people really not interested in us anymore? I know it's been a long time coming and we've been living in this darkness for almost a year, my heart is so frustrated, but your support is a beacon of hope in this darkness we live in 😔💔
We are almost halfway to our goal, I truly appreciate support and standing by me and my family ❤
But If everyone donates 5$, it will make a difference, and we become very close to our goal, I don't want to be intrusive but just feel us in your hearts, that's all I hope for, and thank you for everything you have given us so far, I really appreciate it and am really grateful to you.. 🙏💕
🔴 fundraising campaign vetted by @90-ghost Here, @gazavetters #78 on the list ✅✅
Please share the link and spread the word to everyone you know, it really helps 🙏❤

A secret internal ‘NYTimes’ memo reveals the paper’s anti-Palestinian bias is even worse than we thought
The shocking revelation of the New York Times's offensive internal style guide on language it will not permit in its Palestine reporting should prompt a broad examination of the paper's longtime bias.
[link]
Kudos to the anonymous New York Times staffers who leaked the paper’s offensive internal guide about the language it won’t permit in its reports on Israel/Palestine, and more kudos to The Intercept for publishing it. The shocking revelation should prompt an even broader examination of the biased language that has long been routine in the Times and across all U.S. media.

Egyptian officials tell a Qatari outlet that the US has accepted Israel’s plan for an operation in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, in return for not carrying out a large strike in Iran in response to Tehran’s unprecedented missile and drone attack. “The American administration showed acceptance of the plan previously presented by the occupation government regarding the military operation in Rafah, in exchange for not carrying out a large-scale attack against Iran,” an unnamed official tells Al-Araby Al-Jadeed. The Egyptian officials tells the outlet that preparations are underway so that Egypt can deal with any possible impact of the planned operation.

I heard about this earlier but this is phenomenally good news because a lot of these manuscripts hold palestinian intellectual history dating back centuries and my friends who work in the Islamic book history field believed these all to be gone

"Iran is escalating tensions in the Middle East!"
Okay sure, you can make an argument for that, but like, isn't destroying Iran's consulate in Syria also a huge escalation? Israel essentially attacked two countries at once and nobody is telling them "wtf what r u doing stop escalating shit!" But the minute Iran launches an attack....
Let me be clear: Iran's regime is legit awful and they don't deserve any support for their many many repressive policies and violations of human rights. Still, I totally get where they're coming from with this. You do not bomb other countries' diplomatic posts and get away with it. Unless you're Israel I guess. Then it's okay 😒
Also, now with all eyes on Iran, people are distracted from what's happening in Gaza which may very well be an intentional side effect on Israel's part. But don't forget: PEOPLE ARE STILL BEING KILLED AND STARVED IN THE GAZA STRIP.
Keep your eyes on Gaza

To protect the Palestinian mountain gazelle is to protect the land. To fight for its survival is to fight for Palestine's liberation-free, whole, and uncolonized.

Israel was set to take its first steps towards a ground offensive on the Gaza city of Rafah but delayed that campaign after Iran’s weekend attack on their country, which has sparked a heated debate in the war cabinet over how to respond, Israeli sources have told CNN. The Israeli Air Force was set to begin dropping leaflets on parts of Rafah on Monday, two Israeli sources said, amid preparations for a ground offensive into Gaza’s southernmost city where more than 1 million people are sheltering. Those plans were paused after a retaliatory weekend attack from Iran, which saw more than 300 projectiles fired towards Israel, the vast majority of which were intercepted by Israel and its partners.
