Quick question what are your fav Yaoi and Yuri Ships in The Narutoverse? Just curious lol

Sorry to answer your quick question with a long text, but I'm just like this... 🥹

So, since I was a kid, I never watched Naruto thinking about couples, I was never a "stan", as they say. I just loved the story and the characters.

It was only very recently, when I started to like the character Suigetsu and researched everything about him, that I saw how perfect I think his relationship with Karin is.

I say this because, as much as I like the cannon couples and defend the story of some of them, I do it more because I respect Kishimoto's decision of the ending and because I think it's cute, but I didn't research it in depth to ship it faithfully like I do with SuiKa. But I like to respect what is cannon, even if some have destroyed other ships that I liked more (but I'll never say... 😭)

I ship when I think that, based on the character's story and the context, they make a good couple.

So, here are some same-sex couples I ship (using information that I think makes them perfect for each other):

Itachi x Kisame

I never really thought about it because I'm not a fan of Itachi, but I like Kisame, so I never saw them together romantically. But I've been thinking and researching about it for a few months now, and after seeing some cute art of them, I'm even more convinced.

I think Kisame fell in love first, and like Sasuke, I don't think Itachi was emotionally mature enough to reciprocate, but as an artist, I plan on pretending that they had a lot of loving moments together and I'll draw them as soon as I have time (I already have some sketches). 🩷

Gaara x Rock Lee

I don't like shipping characters that I feel have a more "innocent" aura. Rock Lee, Jugo, Mitsuki... I see them as babies. But I like to hear everyone's opinion and, sometimes, they convince me.

I like GaaLee nowadays, even though I don't have much information for it, but I just like the idea that the two of them are single parents who share a mutual love for each other and their children, and I also think that Rock Lee's energy would make Gaara's life happy, since he has such a sad past...

Izumo x Kotetsu

I don't need to say anything, right? They've been cannon since the first chapters they appeared, that's just a fact. They're stuck together like nails and flesh, nowadays they must be living together and traveling the world on a never-ending honeymoon. 💖💖💖

A little steal on the list: Sakura x Karin

This one doesn't make any sense, I only shipped them when I was younger, I didn't care about Suigetsu and I hated Sasuke. I just wanted them to use their love for Sasuke to get closer and form a couple, and they were my favorite female characters 🥹🥹 Obviously I don't think that way anymore nowadays, but I'll still draw them together a lot just because I really like it lol.

Another little steal: SuiKarin

Haha, I know it doesn't fit here, but I just think they love each other too much and have enough experience to have tried a lot of things together. After Naruto invented the Sexy jutsu, anything is possible, right? I still want to draw SuiKarin yaoi and SuiKarin yuri... I'm looking forward to it 🫣🫣

Now, other couples that I find cute when I see them, but I don't have enough information to ship them:

Kakuzu x Hidan (I think Hidan would be easy with Kakuzu, but Kakuzu seems too shallow to be with anyone...? Although Hidan seems to be very convincing when he wants to be...), Sasori x Deidara (I'm not just talking about sexuality here, but also about feelings. If Sasori still loves his parents, he can love someone romantically, and I think it's cute to think of him with Deidara. But that said, I didn't feel any chemistry between them in the scenes where they appear together. I'm rewatching Naruto now, maybe my opinion will change, and I hope it does, because I think the art of them together is really cute...), Jiraya x Orochimaru and Tsunade (This is another steal from the list, I shipped them when I was younger, haha. I just think they're a trio that only works if the three of them are together, and if it's just two of them, it doesn't work, you know? It's a hc I've had for a long time. Unfortunately, it didn't come to fruition... In fact, I have another ship with 3 people that I think would close the anime with a flourish, but I'll never be able to say which one it is publicly... 🥹)

Just about Kiri and the Swordsmen of the Mist

I think that just like in Akatsuki, they (the Seven) must have had romances between them too. And unlike Konoha, Kirigakure doesn't seem to care so much about marriage, starting a family and things like that... In fact, I don't know if it's cannon (I don't think so), but it really struck me when I saw in the anime that one of the call girls that Jiraya went out with was married to one of the men that Jiraya captured to get information about Pain. I still think to this day "wow, the people of Kiri are so bold..." .

Anyway, thinking about Kisame's story, they even avoided that (love someone). So I think there had a lot of "quick romances", maybe with more than one person at the same time. They weren't very emotional, you know? Life was hard, just killing and missions... So relationships were just a way to de-stress. That's one of the things that made me ship ItaKisame, because I think that even though he thought that way just because he grew up among the cold population of Kiri, Kisame ended up falling in love with Itachi after knowing him more than he knew anyone else.

Spending time with companions ends up breaking the coldness, even of assassins, so I think there must have been couples who loved each other within the Seven, but I just don't have enough information to know who would end up with who. Give me information, Kishi... 😭

I'm sorry for being so annoying about ships 🥹 But I really like having evidence that makes me like the couple. There are cannon couples that I don't like at all, even though I drew them...... And there are others that I love, but like with SuiKarin, we'll never have confirmation... But since things are complicated on the internet, I prefer to keep my opinion about them to myself.

Childhood memories of Madison "Maddie" Frost

Madison (or Maddie for short) was born in the wintertime in 2001. She is the daughter of Jack Frost with long snow white hair and blue eyes and

… in a relationship with Izumo Kamizuki (one of those 2 Naruto besties) since 2 and a half years 😊

And when Jack's mother Gwynne Frost (inspired by Chris Pine's mum Gwynne Gilford) heard Maddie’s laptop (or iPad) having an incoming video chat from her friends, she hoped her beautiful granddaughter didn’t mind if she answered it to let them know when Maddie will come back.

"Hey, Maddie, you there? Answer us?" one of her friends called out.

"Hmm? Oh, it’s you sweethearts. Madison’s not here but I’ll let you know when she’ll come back if you like." Gwynne said.

"She’s not? If she’s not here yet, then where has she gone to?" Sakura asked. Jack entered his daughter’s room and happily said "Maddie’s out of the house giving the kids some snow days right now! From Burgess to all the way to Los Angeles." "You’re Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians, Maddie’s dad?!" Sakura asked and couldn’t believe who she was seeing. "Sakura, didn’t you know? I’m a winter spirit and one of the guardians just like Maddie and decided to visit your village after a snow day I give some kids to." Jack proudly replied to the cute pinkette. "Is Naruto still scared of ghosts?" He teased in a cute way. Sakura said "Yep, Naruto’s still scared of ghosts."

"You’re Jack Frost, Maddie’s dad from Rise of the Guardians?!" Wilbur’s 19-year-old daughter Wimlah (you can call her Stocking if you want) asked in delight. She has long black hair, green eyes and her skin as pale as Sai. "You’re as really hot as my dad and he’s made all the girls he slept with became my stepmoms since he was around my age! 😊"

"I’m hot?!" Jack grinned and fanboyed at the question. "She said that I’m hot! And oh yeah, your dad and I are both all natural!"

"Please stop scaring the kids, Jack." Gwynne said. Jack brought in large, violet-navy coloured, heavy-looking album book "Would you like to see some childhood memories?" "Sure you can!" Her friends cheered. Jack went on the first page of the photo album and shared "I took this picture on your very first school day! Maddie never liked when I took pictures of her very much but Sakura, Ino, Hinata, Stocking and TenTen loved it!" The first photo of Maddie and the girls when they were 6-7. Jack moved on to the second photo "And one time we were on an annual family Christmas trip to Toronto and Vancouver in Canada 🇨🇦 which must be always the coldest country in the world most of the year." "Awesome!" Maddie’s friends Kotetsu, Yamato, Naruto, Kiba, Deidara, Sakura, Ino, Hinata, Shikamaru, Wimlah, Lee and TenTen and Maddie’s boyfriend Izumo cheered.

"I’ve also got a lot of baby photos from there! Sakura, you were here too, remember?!" Jack cheered happily. "What?!" The pinkette reacted in shock and embarrassment. "AAAAGHH!!!" "Aren’t you guys so cute or what?" Jack asked with a huge heartwarming smile for cuteness. "Oh man! Why did I have to pose for the camera?!" Sakura asked angrily in embarrassment. "Let us see some more!" The boys cheerfully demanded being prepared.

Jack moved on to the next photo turning the page "This is little baby Maddie!" A photo of baby Madison in her crib with shorter fluffy snow white hair and wore a purple and blue footed pyjamas and had a lavender pacifier with a small snowman plushie.

"SO CUTE!!!" Izumo and the other boys exclaimed cheerfully and happily. "Yeah, yeah!" Jack agreed with the boys happily. "And here little baby Maddie is sleeping!" Jack showed another photo of baby Maddie sleeping in her fluffy blue blanket in her crib. "AWWW! ❤️💕♥️" the boys reacted. Jack moved on to another baby photo "And here I bathed her and changed her diaper!" While the boys were fussing cheerfully and representing the cuteness. "He’s even worse than any of either of our parents!" TenTen said. "Which would be a total drag." Shikamaru added. "Yeah, we pity Maddie." Sakura agreed. "Agreed big time." Ino added. Then suddenly, before Jack could move on to some more photos, he felt the album book being snatched from his pale hands. "Hey!" "Stop that! Madison will freak out again!" His mother Gwynne scolded. "My first girlfriend gave birth to my girl for many painful hours so I damn well can show her pictures if I want to!" Jack replied to his mother getting angry. "Hands off my treasure, you young-looking old hag!" "You damn Amazon winter man!" His mother replied.

#Blind Incandescence - Head Cannons Content from the collective madness that is Narnia's 3 lunatics - penned by Crazy Insomniac (CI), Finger Seizure (FS) and Typo Queen (TQ).

ANBU Structure

♦ Mr Coffee maker is the most productive agent of ANBU.

♦ The board members are Shimura Danzo, Sarutobi Hiruzen, Utatane Koharu Mitokado Homura, Uchiha Madara and Senju Tobirama. They fund the ANBU and are the cause of endless migraines. Danzo's demands for random audits may some day end with Tsunade being charged for murder.

♦ Izumo and Kotetsu are the receptionists. Izumo is incharge of filing and Kotetsu is incharge of phone calls. Which is why almost no paper gets filed and barely any calls (especially from the board members) are ever picked up.

♦ Homicide and organized crime Unit - lead by Tsunade. Itachi and Kakashi are her personal headaches/ hand-selected team members. They deal with cases no one wants to touch with a ten foot pole. 

♦ Marital Affairs Unit - members are Kurenai, Asuma and Anko. This is the unit that brings in the most money.  

♦ Insurance Fraud Unit - Genma, Raido and Gai - Gai's youthfulness is what keeps the other two sane.  

♦ Missing persons Unit: Tsume and Shibi 

♦ Cult investigation: Hidan, Sasori, Kisame - the rest of the agency tends to stay away from them.

♦ Narcotics Unit: Inoichi and Shikaku...its kind of their expertise.

♦ Forensic team: Yamato, Hayate, Yugao, Kabuto, Deidara

♦ Ibiki is in charge of interrogation. Anko assists at times. 

♦ Kakazu is the accountant - no one ever gets paid on time.

♦ Orochimaru is the Medical Examiner / resident terror of the agency. Naruto loves him.

When ever Tsunade has a mad scientist moment (she misses holding a scalpel) she tries to go to Orochimaru's lab in desperate hopes he'll let her assist him - the bastard always slaps her hand away, pushes her out of the lab and shuts the door in her face with a smug smirk as if taunting her for not finishing med school.  Naruto is the only one who has complete access to the lab. If one would dare to venture down to Orochimaru's 'dungeons' they would often find the chibi babbling the ME's ear off about what happened in school that day with said ME responding to the babbling while dissecting dead bodies. Good thing his school teachers think Naruto is just a very creative child. 

Tsunade dislikes the favoritism Orochimaru shows. She was the first blond in his life after all. She should have more privileges.

♦ Akatsuki Law - a VERY successful Law agency run by Nagato, Yahiko and Konan. They provide FORCED free services to ANBU because Tsunade insists that’s what family does and Nagato wishes he was cousins with anyone but her. 

♦ Any press conferences that require ANBU presence are dealt with either from a member of the department in question. Itachi, Tsunade and Kakashi stay in the shadows since their roles require them to keep a low profile. 

♦ Social events that require their presence are Senju And Uchiha family related and Tsuande and Itachi attend them. Itachi with a poker face and Tsuande with endless whining. 

♦ Kakashi is incharge of attending all of Naruto’s Parent/Teacher conferences. There is always a bet ongoing regarding how many dates the Hatake will have by the time he returns the next day. 

Tsunade went to one of Naru's parent teacher conferences --  It's ironically the same elementary school that Tsunade herself attended with Orochimaru and Jiraiya since Jiraiya stayed in his family home while the other two moved away.  Unfortunately, the principal remembered Tsunade. She remembered the blonde menace for that one time she had snuck toads into the classroom during recess (she was good at bullying Jiraiya and Jiraiya was good at catching toads) and had left them in the desks of all the girls that had been giving her a hard time for liking to spend all her time with boys (Jira and Oro). The screams once the students had returned and had toads leap on them had shaken the school.  Then there was the time the blonde nightmare had snuck in Orochimaru's new pet snake (without his permission or knowledge at that) and had gone around telling girls it was her new designer scarf. Suffice to say - no one was amused with her prank. Orochimaru had actually not talked to her for a week.  The principal remembered all these things -- that should have been bad enough right? But this is Tsunade we are talking about. And as her luck would have it --  While trying to act like a responsible adult...she notices the janitor and...recalls that the man is actually a suspect in one of her ongoing investigations - only they hadn't been able to find him - until now. She runs after him, tackles him, breaks furniture, swears up a storm that leaves parents, teachers and students traumatized and stumbles out of the school premises with a bleeding split lip, torn clothing, a limp and a murder suspect.  She wants to sue the school for endangering students. They want to sue her for property damage. Nagato swears he has white hair since that week. Tsuande says his hair is still blinding enough and tells him to get out of her office.  Suffice to say, Tsunade is never allowed to come back to Konoha Elementary School. .

May 10th, Day 2: Reunion/Parting @sandsibweek​

Temari and Shikamaru’s wedding isn’t exactly Kankuro’s scene, if he’s being honest. As someone who’s been pathetically single for the past- well, forever- seeing so many happy couples on the dancefloor makes him feel insecure and awkward in a way that he’s never had to experience before.

Then again, he’s happy for his sister, who’s finally found love and happiness after wasting her formative years taking care of him and Gaara. She deserves to have this, so he plasters on a smile and hypes her up for the event, only reflecting on his own feelings when he finds himself sitting alone at the reception. 

Most of the tables are grouped in sixes with the assigned seats, three couples to each table. Kankuro sees Naruto and Hinata, Ino and Sai, Choji and Karui, Kakashi and Guy, Anko and Ibiki, Baki and Genma, Kotetsu and Izumo, Hanabi and Konohamaru… It seems like the place is flocked with couples, with Shikamaru and Temari at their own head table, starting to slice the cake.

At Kankuro’s table is pretty much everyone who came without a plus one; himself, Tenten, Gaara, Rock Lee, Sakura, and Kiba. Though Tenten, Sakura, and Rock Lee get along and chat away easily, Kankuro sits there silently, his dark brown eyes flickering between Kiba (who is distracted by Akamaru) and Gaara (who is staring at Lee).

Kankuro holds his head in his hands. The cake is served, and it tastes of strawberries and vanilla that blends well with the white champagne he has sitting in the flute in front of him. Tenten and Sakura stand up and go to chat with Ino and Sai, which is somewhat of a relief. Kankuro isn’t socially awkward by any means, but he prefers his siblings’ company more than anyone else’s, so being almost-alone with Gaara isn’t too bad…

At least until Lee excitedly drags a blushing, stammering Gaara onto the dance floor.

While Akamaru takes a nap on the floor beneath Kiba’s chair, Kankuro and Kiba are left alone. The two men glance at each other, and Kankuro’s heart skips a beat much faster than it should.

Memories of the war flash through his mind. Memories of staying together in the middle of nowhere, covered in dirt and sharing a tent, curious hands roaming bodies and lips roaming lips because ‘why not, we could die soon anyway’. And maybe inexperienced teenagers having sex for the sake of doing it before dying at the hands of the Akatsuki was all they were back then, but Kankuro would be lying if he said his feelings for the Inuzuka hadn’t gone a little deeper back then.

Now, those feelings are resurfacing even though it’s been literal years and Kiba looks much, much different now. The younger man’s brown locks have grown out to just above his shoulders, and he has the beginnings of a sharp beard on his pointed chin. Though the red marking on his face and that familiar look in his narrow obsidian eyes remains the same, he’s different; taller and more muscular, too. 

“So, looks like we’re all alone, huh?” Kiba starts, taking the words right out of Kankuro’s mouth. “What a coincidence… Just us two again after all these years.”

“Yeah…” Kankuro mutters, because while he would usually be able to hold conversations with people in a social setting like this, Kiba is wonderful at turning Kankuro’s brain to mush. “What a coincidence.”

Akamaru suddenly stands up and runs off. Kiba is too distracted to command him to stop, so the big white dog rushes through the dancefloor, effectively tripping Gaara, who falls into Lee’s chest. Lee catches him right as Akamaru steals Baki’s cake and steps on Genma’s shoes. The chaos he causes has half the reception room cursing, but when Kankuro looks to see Temari and Shikamaru laughing their asses off and asking the photographer to get pictures of the scene Akamaru is causing, he doesn’t bother telling Kiba to wrangle the cute mutt. 

“You still single?” Kiba asks as Akamaru runs back to him, brown nose covered in white frosting and strawberry cake crumbs that he probably shouldn’t have had. 

“Uh, yeah,” Kankuro answers with a blush that he hopes is well-hidden by his face paint. Though he’s not at all disappointed that Kiba seems to be on the same page as him, he is surprised at the other man’s straightforwardness. “I haven’t really… Bothered, y’know, since after what we had during the war. How about you?”

Kiba smiles.

“Me, too.”

And suddenly, being one of the few single people at this wedding isn’t as bad as Kankuro thought it was.

“Hey, everyone, it’s time for the bouquet toss!” Temari calls out, much cheerier than usual on her happy day.

Kiba stands up with Akamaru happily trotting up next to him.

“Wanna come with?” Kiba offers and nods his head towards where Temari is standing on a platform with the bouquet of white jasmines in her hands.

“Sure,” Kankuro nods and follows Kiba to the crowd that’s gathered behind Temari.

Then, the bouquet is tossed. It soars past the front of the crowd and past the middle to the back where Kankuro and Kiba are. Kankuro has never cared much for traditions like this, but he does make an attempt at catching it, only to see that Kiba is also reaching for it when Akamaru suddenly jumps up and puts his paws on the Inuzuka’s back. Kiba stumbles and falls forward, still catching the bouquet but about to hit the ground. Kankuro rushes to catch him, only for it to backfire. Kiba falls into his chest and knocks him onto his back. Their faces brush, and their lips are smashed together for the first time in five years. 

One of Kankuro’s hands wraps around the bouquet to make sure it doesn’t fall and get crushed in this clusterfuck of shit, but when he opens his eyes, he sees that one; both he and Kiba have caught the bouquet, and two; there’s a circle of all the reception guests made around them, staring, laughing, and talking about what’s just happened.

To make the situation even worse, that knucklehead Naruto is behind them taking pictures and laughing his ass off. Temari rushes over to make sure they’re both okay while Shikamaru and his best man, Choji, snicker at the display over two glasses of champagne.

Kiba jumps up with the bouquet in hand and grabs Kankuro by the arm to pull him up

“I’m so sorry, man, are you okay!?” Kiba asks, then turns to Akamaru before Kankuro can even answer and scolds him. “Akamaru, why would you do that? I can’t believe you!”

Akamaru lets out a noise that sounds like a laugh, or maybe a snort. He lowers his head with a guilty expression.

“I’m fine, but you know, you should really train that dog of yours a little better!” Kankuro chuckles and reaches down to scratch Akamaru’s chin.

To his surprise, Akamaru leans into the touch and licks his hand. 

The crowd disperses and slowly starts to leave the reception. Kankuro and Kiba linger behind, going back to their lonely little table. Tenten and Sakura are dancing together, and Lee and Gaara have fucked off to God knows where together. The other couples have either left or are sitting at their own tables. Temari and Shikamaru go around to thank the remaining guests for attending, Temari with an arm over Shikamaru’s shoulder.

“You haven’t danced at all today,” Kiba says, but it’s not true.

“I did, too! Remember when I danced with Temari and Gaara earlier? It was part of the ceremony,” Kankuro explains in reference to the ‘father daughter dance’, which he and Gaara offered to do with Temari in Rasa’s place so she wouldn’t have to cut it out of the ceremony entirely.

They walked her down the aisle, too. Kankuro briefly wonders if their parents’ absence on a day like this is bothering Temari at all, but then he looks over to her and sees her and Shikamaru still beaming at each other.

“Oh, right, but that’s not what I meant,” Kiba says with a dismissive wave. “I meant you haven’t danced since the reception started.”

“Well, no one’s asked me to,” Kankuro shrugs. 

“Then I guess I’ll have to bite the bullet and do it myself,” Kiba grins, then stands up and offers Kankuro his hand. “Wanna dance, Kankuro?”

“...Sure, Kiba. For old time’s sake.”

—    basics.

▸       is your muse tall    /    short    /ㅤaverage ?ㅤAs an adult Itachi is 178cm (5'10''), which technically makes him tall-ish. Relatively speaking, though, it's easy to think of him as not-tall for a few reasons. One, on account of being a prodigy and flying through the shinobi ranks, Itachi was usually always partnered with taller people because he was so much younger than them. Two, during Akatsuki days, he's always standing by Kisame's side so it's easy to think of him as un-tall, by comparison. And three, and relatively speaking, Itachi is actually one of the shortest Uchihas.

▸       are they okay with their height ?ㅤHe is! He's never really bothered to be in the company of people who are taller or shorter than him. In fact, one thing in particular Itachi thinks is amusing is how Sasuke went from being the tiny grumpy bundle he carried around everywhere to actually growing up to be a few centimeters/inches taller than Itachi.

▸      what’s their hair like ?ㅤA shade of deep black, long, straight, usually kept on a loose ponytail. In peaceful verses, it's very soft and silky and shiny, because Itachi takes good care of it (the whole routine of shampoo + conditioner + serum). During Akatsuki days, this is harder because, one, it's hard to find a place to shower as it is and let alone to properly wash the hair, and, two, it's even harder to have a healthy hair in general when you're literally dying slowly.

▸     do they spend a  lot of time on their hair     /    grooming ?ㅤSee the previous answer! If possible, Itachi does like to properly care for his hair and hygiene in general. That said, it's not necessarily for the sake of appearance - more like, having a strong obsession with order and cleanliness because of subclinical OCD symptoms, Itachi always prefers to have everything looking pristine and perfect, including himself.

▸      does your muse care about their appearance   /   what others think ? Again see previous answer lmao. More than caring for appearance, Itachi cares for himself to be/look properly presentable and put together (to which being raised to be the next Uchiha clan leader also contributes). As for what others think, it depends. If it is a stranger or somebody he's not close with, he usually couldn't care less what their opinion is. On the other hand, if it is a loved one, Itachi values what they have to say. In general, and if it is possible, he does put some care into looking nice for his romantic partner(s).

▸      what are some of your muse’s bad habits ?ㅤExtreme perfectionism, which results in things such as overworking, overthinking, and being obsessive. Also he always wants to have the last word on literally everything. And do we count sass as a bad habit? Because sometimes it does go over the top lmao.

▸      has your muse lost anyone close to them ? how has it affected them ?ㅤYes, starting with his genin teammate Izumo Tenma. Then, Shisui. And then... kinda his entire family and friends and neighbors and whole clan - Sasuke included, even if he was still alive. All of this together has affected Itachi in ways he can't really express, after the Uchiha massacre, because he's supposed to be playing the role of detached psychopath killer. So the only option is to keep the grief and guilt to himself, never truly processing it - also because he still has a mission to fulfill (i.e., eventually die by Sasuke's hand), therefore he cannot be "distracted" with thinking too hard about past choices and what ifs. Said grief and guilt, instead, are expressed through physical/psychological symptoms such as severe dissociation from reality, severe insomnia and, while not causing it, it is definitely something that indirectly worsens Itachi's chronic illness.

▸      what are some fond memories your muse has ? ㅤHaving an eidetic memory, Itachi is able to remember with great detail pretty much every experience he's ever witnessed or lived through. Itachi is also someone who greatly values simple things, such as a nice afternoon spent reading while a friend or family member is doing other stuff nearby, so he keeps a lot of these memories that, in itself, are nothing out of the ordinary but, to him, they are soothing and comforting. For example, we can insert here basically everything Sasuke has ever done, from taking his first steps to pouting at Itachi for having no time to train with him. Also nice memories of calm afternoons spent with their parents, just having a tranquil dinner and sharing conversation. Memories of fun times with his genin teammates and with his ANBU squad companions. Memories of fun times with Shisui and Izumi. Itachi keeps and cherishes all of these, especially during Akatsuki days when, truly, they are the only good thing he has left.

▸     is it easy for your muse to kill ? ㅤPragramtically speaking? Yes, extremely easy. Itachi can kill with the literal blink of an eye. Emotionally speaking? No, and it will never be. Even when he's done it so often and to the people who are (...well, were) closest to him, killing is something that Itachi never enjoys doing and that he always avoids whenever possible.

▸      what’s it like when your muse breaks down ?ㅤ It's very rare that Itachi allows himself to truly break down. He's the embodiment of the I want to cry but I have things to do text post, in the sense that, from a very young age, he's been handling great responsibility towards clan and village alike - and therefore, was always expected to be at his best no matter what. Two other factors contribute to this: one, to Itachi, protecting others comes much easier than being the one who needs protection or is otherwise vulnerable, and, two, feeling and expressing emotions (especially intense negative emotions) is something that can be very confusing for Itachi because he has alexithymia and, therefore, his strategy is usually to just rationalize those emotions and be done with it. When he does break down, he tends to be very quiet and private about it. He may seek a loved one for comfort, like spending time with Sasuke or talking to Shisui or asking his parents for advice - but, more often than not, he will attempt to deal with it on his own and most people won't even notice anything is amiss, because he excels at keeping a stoic facade no matter the internal struggles. This is particularly evident during the Akatsuki days.

▸      is your muse capable of trusting someone with their life ? ㅤYes, and this can be seen from two angles. One, if you are somebody Itachi loves, be it romantic or platonic, then he trusts you with his life by default - because, to him, love and trust cannot exist without each other. He wouldn't give his love to somebody he cannot fully trust (the exception being Sasuke after the massacre, for the obvious reason). And, two, if you are someone Itachi chooses to work with - for example, the members he chooses to include in his squad when he becomes ANBU captain. Kind of the same logic, because, given this line of job, to Itachi it wouldn't make sense to work with somebody he cannot fully trust for everything and anything. A kind-of exception to this would be Kisame, because, even though it wasn't truly a choice, Kisame is definitely someone Itachi learned to trust with his life, as time passed and their bond developed.

▸      what’s your muse like when they’re in love ?ㅤNot that much different than "normal", really, because Itachi is naturally caring and nurturing. When he's in love with somebody, however, this gets cranked up to eleven. Itachi likes to spend time with his crush/lover whenever possible, even if it's just little things like doing the dishes together or cuddling lazily on the couch. He is a giver and he's very attentive to his crush/lover's needs and always provides. In fact, Itachi is the kind to show rather than tell, so, even if he's not really one for big love confessions, he always shows his love through actions such as preparing a nice cup of tea, bringing a blanket when it's cold, offering a shoulder massage after a long day. With that said, Itachi also loves to use affectionate names like "my love" or "my heart" or any other expression that applies to his crush/lover, and he's known to say some very romantic things out of the blue. Maybe the most obvious signal that he's in love with somebody shows in how he likes to just stare at his crush/lover, just sit there and chinhand and stare in awe at how amazing they are even when they are literally just existing.

Sakura remembered the cherry blossoms of the Sakura tree she had been named after, and of sitting under the tree that day with Sasuke Uchiha and holding hands. He was the boy she had fantasized about, the love she had hoped for, and the boyfriend she had had to sacrifice friendships to obtain.

Sasuke Uchiha.

That day, under the Sakura tree, he had given her what she had always wanted: his love. It had blossomed, he told her, and now we can be together. He would repeat this to her lovingly and she was happy. She had his hand in hers and his heart in hers. But it wasn't enough. Could he stay with her knowing he had given up his chance to kill his brother? These thoughts seemed to plague his mind, and yet he shared none of them. He would not smile unless to distract her from questioning him, and only held hands with her in private. Was he ashamed of her?

She watched him struggle to gain power, and push himself beyond his limits to attain what was ultimately unattainable. She had cried when he fought Naruto, and then in the aftermath, would not even speak to her. He left her feeling miserable, and wondering what he would do next. That night had been the beginning of the end, on that path out of Konoha, and she had seen it coming, and done nothing. It tore her apart to realise that nothing she said or did would have made any difference. There was nothing to do now. At least, that was what she told herself, awoken the next morning by Kotetsu and Izumo. Sasuke had knocked her unconscious to stop her from following, but also because he would otherwise have to kill her. She had threatened to scream. His hand on hers, his lips brushing her ear, and still the tender words he uttered did not make her feel important. What was she to him?

It was too tempting, to betray all that he knew, all that he supposedly loved, for a hope that his chance to kill his older brother could come sooner, with Orochimaru's help. He would not stay, he could not forget about his revenge.

Sasuke Uchiha.

And then so many years later, he found her bleeding on the battlefield, having been left for dead by the Akatsuki, the only survivor in her Anbu squad. Instead of killing her, or simply leaving her to die, he nursed her back to health. Once she had rested, she had given Sasuke that which she had been waiting to give him for years: her body. They had to be in love, right? But still he left her, again. He would not return to the village, and she could not leave Konoha.

A year later, having kept that day in the makeshift hut to herself, she encountered him again. He acted on instinct, and she let down her defences – in the rain, and in the woods, he had found her, given her what her body yearned for, only to leave her again. And again, she kept it quiet, no-one, not even Naruto had been there to stop her.

And there he was again, as if out of nowhere. She was on a solo mission and had just completed it in record time. She was all alone. Sasuke came to her, made love to her, and then left her all alone. But had it really been love? The Sakura tree had been so long ago. Could he still love her? Was a member of Akatsuki capable of love?

Sasuke Uchiha.

And now, only months on since the last time he had taken her body, but never given his heart, he had come back to defile her again. What was he planning now that he has his revenge on Konoha, what could possibly excuse what he had done? She felt dirty, and weak and pathetic. How could she have let this go on for so long? If she had just stopped him, if she had taken advantage of his lulled state, of that moment after achieving his eagerness where he lay back in satisfied pleasure, would they both be in this predicament now?

He was beneath her, inside her, and his eyes told her he was thinking about their first time. He had chosen to take her, knowing the consequences, then again, and again. It was a brutal cycle. Fate had reunited them, only to shatter her innocence, to torment her, and then finally to destroy her future. Now, on the forest floor, outside the borders of Konoha, she had chased him down, only to find herself in his arms once again. But it was too late. There was no point in reminiscing on the past, the violent, broken moments in which she would give herself wholly and completely to a man that had no intention of going back to the beginning. That was his choice.

'And now I must make mine,' she thought, gritting her teeth.

She held his life in her hands. Looking into those red eyes, those killer eyes, she hesitated. He had hesitated to kill her – that was why she was still alive. But Sasuke Uchiha was a killer. So he had loved her once. So she had loved him as well. But now, the killing had to stop, they both had to be free. The red rose flitted about her mind's eye. He had originally given her a cherry blossom, the light pink flowers that reminded him of her hair. After she'd told him she preferred roses, it had been nothing else since. But there was one rose, a single stem he'd given her that stood out from the rest. Waking up on a park bench in the cold of the early morning, she'd found it in her hair.

'A single rose to say goodbye.'

A single rose, that had withered in a day. It had always been that way with him. Nothing he gave her ever lasted. He was a true Uchiha, in every sense of the word.

Sasuke Uchiha.

Sakura shifted as Sasuke continued to hold her. Her kunai had gone to his throat every time they met in some remote place. She would always press it against his skin as he slid inside her, as though it were her defence against his lips. This time had been no different. They had not kissed each other since before he'd left Konoha. It was not his mouth, but his intense desire that she needed to defend against. And it was what she couldn't defend against.

Her body wracked with pleasure, she could only remember those moments where Sasuke Uchiha had both loved and hurt her. They were the moments that would give her the strength she needed. She gripped the kunai tighter as they neared the end of this incursion.

She did not call out as he peaked, preferring not to show him how much he still excited her. Instead, she whispered lovingly. 'I'm sorry.'

He opened his mouth to ask why, but gagged instead. Sakura pushed the blade of her kunai deep into his throat, having lowered her eyes to avoid that Sharingan. But she needn't have bothered. Stunned by her attack, he fell away from her, grasping desperately at his throat. His life's blood spilled out, and in the moments before all he saw was black, she knelt down beside him, to whisper in his ear. Her voice was laced with anger and shaking with fear:

'I am carrying your child.'

5.— Secreto

Mito estaba enfadada, Kakashi estaba internado en el hospital, ya que se exigió de más en su última misión, misión en la cual fueron a rescatar al kazekage y él abusó de su sharingan, estaba molesta porque ella pudo haber sido útil en esa misión y en vez de estar ahí, estuvo sin hacer nada en casa.

Ahora iría en una misión con su equipo, seguía molesta por lo sucedido, pero aun así se despidió de todos antes de partir. Ella iría en el escuadrón de Asuma.

Llegaron al templo del fuego, había sido atacado recientemente y muchos fueron asesinados. Izumo y Kotetsu empezaron a hablar de las distintas probabilidades, ya que el cuerpo de Chiriku no había aparecido. 

La información fue transmitida a todos los escuadrones junto a la información de los cinco puntos que hay para reclamar recompensas. Ellos fueron al punto que tenían más cerca, el camino fue en silencio hasta que Asuma habla, ya estaban cerca del lugar.

Se escondieron detrás de unos arbustos y fuera del lugar estaba uno de los Akatsuki. El primero en ir a Asuma, luego le siguen Izumo y Kotetsu, Shikamaru y Mito se miran, ninguno de los dos tenían buenas sensaciones de lo que podría pasar, pero les siguieron.

Los primeros empiezan un ataque en conjunto para distraerle y así Shikamaru o Mito podrían retenerles, pero ninguno se esperó que no le hicieran ni el más mínimo daño, le dolió, pero no iba a morir. 

Tenían que recurrir a otro plan, matar no era opción porque no iba a morir, ya lo habían intentado y ni cortando su cabeza habían logrado algo. Como si eso fuera poco, el otro Akatsuki aparece.

—¡Mito, ahora! —exclamó Shikamaru

Esa era la señal, las cadenas salen del suelo creando una barrera para rodearlos, así los Akatsuki no podrían escapar en lo que llegaban los refuerzos. 

—¿Mito? ¿Uzumaki? —preguntó el akatsuki de ojos verdes

—¿Te conozco? —preguntó ella confundida

—¿Cómo es que eres joven de nuevo?

Con esas palabras ella logró entender mucho, se refería a Mito Uzumaki, las esposa del primer Hokage…

—Creo que te confundes, pero si vienes con nosotros a Konoha podremos aclarar las dudas que todos tenemos, ¿te parece bien?

Claramente, el akatsuki no estaba dispuesto a negociar. 

Una explosión llamó la atención de todos

—Ya has caído en mi maldición — dice Hidan —, ahora empieza la ceremonia —Mito se estremece al escuchar su risa — ¿Por qué no experimentas el dolor extremo junto a mí?

La habilidad del Hidan era muy poderosa y de temer, Asuma estaba bajo su maldición y todo lo que le pasara al Akatsuki le pasaría a al Sarutobi.

El de blancos cabellos no iba a dudar en matar, pero Mito no iba a permitirlo y con sus cadenas detiene sus extremidades, no iba a poder mantener ambas cosas mucho tiempo, por lo que había que intentar sacar al akatsuki del círculo dibujado en el suelo. Ella se estaba cansando y sus compañeros estaban en el suelo, el de ojos verdes la toma del cabello y estaba dispuesto a matarla con sus hilos.

La barrera y las cadenas caen, el grito de Shikamaru fue claro, habían lastimado a Asuma. Los refuerzos llegan y ayudan a los demás, pero lo único que les salvada a todos de un trágico destino fue el llamado que recibieron los de capa.

Ino intenta curar la herida de su sensei, pero era en vano. Mito se despeja el brazo y lo acerca a la boca de su sensei, todos miran confundidos

—Muerda —ordenó ella —. Ninguna palabra de esto a nadie

—Kakashi me va a matar…

—Mejor él, ¿no? —respondió la pelirroja

El Sarutobi no tiene de otra que morder el antebrazo de su alumna para poder curarse. Mito sentía el chakra abandonar de a poco su cuerpo y como el agotamiento empieza a predominar

—Ino, revísalo —ordenó nuevamente la pelirroja.

La rubia empieza a usar ninjutsu médico nuevamente y abre los ojos, sorprendida

—¿Cómo es esto posible? Estaba destrozado y ahora… Ahora puedo encargarme yo, Mito.

—Bien —Asuma deja de morder y la pelirroja cubre nuevamente su brazo

—¿Nos explicarás? —preguntó Shikamaru

—Algunos miembros el clan Uzumaki pueden curar a través de la mordida, como tenemos grandes reservas de chakra, no es algo que nos afecte mucho, pero aun así nos agota bastante. Kakashi no quiere que esto se sepa por temor que otros ninjas quieran aprovecharse de eso. 

—Tienes marcas de mordidas —acotó Chouji

—He tenido que recurrir a esto un par de veces antes, pero nadie lo sabe, ni las personas involucradas

—Tu secreto estará a salvo con nosotros, Mito —sonrió Ino

—Kakashi me va a matar… —murmuró nuevamente Asuma —. Volvamos a la aldea, debemos informar lo sucedido

Al volver, la primera parada fue el hospital, tenían que asegurarse que todo estuviera bien, luego informaron a la quinta el encuentro que tuvieron con Akatsuki, para luego empezar a organizar un plan de acción para detenerlos, Shikamaru había ideado un plan una noche de insomnio mientras jugaba shogi.

—Mi equipo lo sabe —dijo Mito a Neji

—¿Cómo dices?

—Si no lo hubiera hecho, Asuma-sensei habría muerto, así que le dije que me mordiera el brazo —explicó ella —. Pero eso conllevó que ellos lo supieran, saben que es un secreto, pero aun así me es extraño que más gente lo sepa.

Neji había descubierto el secreto de Mito durante el acto sexual, una forma bastante particular para enterarse de algo.

—¿Cómo se lo tomaron? —preguntó preocupado

—Se lo tomaron bien, menos Asuma-sensei, él está seguro de que Kashi lo va a matar cuando se entere. Yo propuse que dijéramos que Ino lo había logrado salvar con ninjutsu médico, pero él rechazó esa idea y que le diría la verdad a Kashi —respondió la pelirroja —. Sinceramente, creo que Asuma-sensei quiere sufrir

El chico soló una carcajada, él sabía de primera mano lo sobreprotector que era Kakashi con Mito

—Creo que Kakashi-sensei solo lo asustará como castigo 

—¿Kashi intimidando a alguien? La novela de todos los días —sonrió ella.

Cuando llegó el día, los dos grupos fueron a acabar con aquellos akatsuki, Mito solo tenía la función de retener a Kakuzu mientras los demás intentaban romper sus corazones y Shikamaru se iba a lejos a acabar con Hidan. La misión fue un completo éxito.

Volvieron a la aldea triunfante y con el cuerpo de uno de los akatsuki para analizar. Quizás aún hay oportunidad para llegar a la paz.

Okay so

I can't remember if I ever truly explained it in the fic

But when Shikamaru is sent back in time, it's not in HIS timeline.

The timeline he's sent into is absolutely identical to his, with the sole exception being his presence in it. So all the shit that happens with the Child Hidan he meets has happened to the one he buried dismembered in his forest. The only difference between the two being that Original Hidan didn't have anyone else there for these life shaping events. It was just him.

SO!!! I got to thinking about this shit. I thought about how the little Hidan that met the time traveling Shikamaru would remember him, but just knowing the guy wouldn't alter the course his life would take. So he'd still wind up slaughtering his neighbors, abandoning his village, dragged into Akatsuki, partnered with Kakuzu....everything.

So when they go to turn in Chiriku's body for the bounty and Asuma, Shikamaru, Kotetsu, and Izumo show up to take them out.....that Hidan would see Shikamaru and recognize him....sort of. He'd see him and think 'oh that guy looks a hell of a lot like the guy I knew when I was a kid. I wonder if this is Shikamaru's kid or something'

So he asks him. He just goes "HEY DO YOU KNOW A GUY NAMED SHIKAMARU?"

Meanwhile, Shikamaru, not knowing anything about the time traveling version of his older self, is just baffled. This random Akatsuki member recognizes him, enough to know his name, but somehow doesn't know that it's his name???? What?????? So he's just kinda like "....I AM Shikamaru????"

Hidan is also confused. This kid HAS to be at least RELATED to Shikamaru. Can't be his brother, because brothers can't exactly share the same name. So....his kid? Gotta be, because Shikamaru wasn't old enough to have grandkids by now, not by a long shot, and this kid looks way too similar to just be a cousin or nephew. But then why would he have responded like that? Well, whatever, he couldn't exactly interrogate the guy they were now busy fighting.

Throughout the fight though he has this weird feeling that he can't get rid of. Like he's missing something. He does his best to ignore it, and is mostly successful, but he can't help but notice things. This guy and Shikamaru have the exact same hair color and style. This guy and Shikamaru have the exact same lazy, tired, but smart brown eyes. Their voices sound damn near identical, give this guy a few years and they probably WILL sound completely identical. They use shadows for a jutsu. They have the same face, except this guy is obviously younger by like 5-8 years.

After Asuma's dead and InoShikaCho come after him and Kakuzu again, these thoughts are brought back up, and that little feeling like he's missing something just keeps getting bigger and bigger

And when he's finally put in that hole, it hits him. He realizes.

He remembers that even though he knew Shikamaru for like ten years, his appearance was always the exact same. He never changed even a little bit. He hadn't noticed before because he only saw the man once every few years, but now that he thinks about it....the guy never changed. He didn't age in the slightest.

He remembers that the guy would sometimes get these weird looks around him, like he was remembering something, or someone....someone he didn't necessarily like all that much.

He comes to the conclusion that the Shikamaru he knew was from the future. That he'd somehow traveled back in time and met Hidan's child self. That he had KNOWN him, his future self, and that's why he got those weird looks.

That the adult Shikamaru he knew had already DONE this to him. That adult Shikamaru had already dismembered and buried him in the forest. That the one adult who had ever been anything resembling kind to him as a child had already done this horrible fucking thing to him, and upon meeting him as a child had known and remembered what he'd done. That the Shikamaru who had just buried him would grow older and travel back in time and be nice to his child self. And that his child self wouldn't know just how fucking awful that man would be....how awful he was. That the only adult who'd ever given the slightest shit about him as a child, and the one who had just buried him and begun a hellacious torture by doing so.....were one in the same person.

I don't know if I'm making any sort of sense but I really hope I am. I'm losing my shit thinking about the emotional devastation. All the conflicting feelings. All the feelings of confused betrayal, of knowing and trusting and then finding out the truth and not knowing exactly how to feel about it and somehow that makes it all hurt worse

Hidan would be SLIGHTLY incorrect in his conclusion, because timeline fuckery, but he'd be close enough that the inaccuracies wouldn't matter. Because if that Shikamaru went through the same time traveling ordeal that the Original Shikamaru went through, then pretty much the same shit would happen. He'd still meet child Hidan and still be kind to him. He'd just have the added layer of "oh fuck so Hidan DID know me....."

God I reread one of my fanfics and had an idea for like.....a short companion piece but I don't have the capacity to properly articulate it in a story format while having it both make sense and be as emotionally devastating as I want it to be

I don't even know how I'd even ATEMMPT to write it I just have a concept and feelings
