#gundam witch from mercury #gwitch #wfm #sulemio #suletta mercury #miorine rembran #i bet on losing dogs as per gwitch current story progression aka ep17 do you see my vision...#i have particular mixed feelings on ep 17 most of which i feel that the story is done a bit sloppy i think it started around ep 16 or 15 #i really need to get this out so i could study damn it !!#first of all with miorine with the one who's losing a lot by being complicit with prospera's quiet zero significantly trapping herself furt #er in the cycle of revenge and also losing the friends she has come to cherish and also... at the same time knowing hal truths of what real #ly happened prospera true plan. vanadis. aerial and suletta true nature. earth as a spacian battleground. and the whole lot #i feel like she's rushing thru her birthday to eject sul asap from prosperas plan and now whats done is done i feel like she underestimate #what conviction on how suletta values what family means to her. prospera lines where she wonders whether sul will give aerial up #easily is giving vibes that its possible for suletta to take drastic measures to get her family back. miorine grows up on a world that #is defined by strict rules but suletta does not... that is after she's starting to get over her heartbreak i think...#whats interesting about gwitch is that although it considered utena as one of its base material it mixes said materials with how gundam sto #ryline works while simultaneously keeping up with today's themes. so honestly... when this happened today im a bit pissed #another thing that even though on a surface level suletta plays the role of utena with miorine as anthy they are also anthy and utena #respectively. suletta and utena with their kind hearted and naive self with a sense of justice left behind the insidious plot of the school #anthy and miorine titled the bride who adored their respective partner up to the point of deception and betrayal for their own good #SULETTA AND ANTHY GOD THE WITCh. red motifs. i find it funny they both have siblings okay this is messed up. the character shrouded in myst #ery. RAHHH #insert utena student council theme somewhere around here #and lastly utena and miorine. the “princess”that is ready to take on a world that is threatening her loved one. both are only child god no.#this is my personal feelings but i will find it heartbreaking that despite everthing suletta will runs to miorine no matter how much she #push her away... but i also want and find it interesting where despite loving and believing in her suletta will slowly will ALSO despise #her for letting them drift apart kind of like anthy and utena on the akio apocalypse arc....... do i want this to happen...? do i....? >yes #regardless augh what a heartwrenching lovely episode despite me knowing it will happen at some point during the show #im like the surprised pikachu meme with tears in my eyes

If DJSS is actually a supernova then assumption probably brings with it the idea they were a star, and being a star where it sends light in every direction and vision is directly correlated to light, what if that means omnidirectional vision?

#dj subatomic supernova #djss #no straight roads #nsr #fanart #a lot of notes i have in the image itself but i'll talk about them in the tags #i like to headcanon nova in youth was an o-class main sequence star aka big blue star that is bound to supernova #that shit is BRIGHT like 800000ish times our sun bright so even at a portable head size it's like a literal eyesore #kid to adult nova probably had to wear a helmet for others safety (an inconvenience to be sure)#but that would inherently condition them to have a more eye-based narrowed vision with a more frontal view of the world #which was helped a long way by being blinded by their own luminosity at the back and sides of that helmet #even if their vision was kinda dimmed and muted thanks to the visor being as shaded as it was #which is why when nova's a- well- supernova the interior of their hoodie not only is white but emits light #practically speaking it would be an inconvenience as the dj of a lowlit club but what if it was a habit that was a layover from being a sta #and to that: vision as a star and vision as a supernova are like two completely different logics #if a star is one celestial object that can view everything in every direction- a hot cloud of space dust is just trillions of staring eyes #compound eye having ass #from 20 or so years being blinded by their own light it does mean that not EVERYTHING has sight #let alone the 'used to be internal' contents of nova's head that kinda swirl in no particular direction #but whenever those blind spots happen to swirl their way up to the glass nova may get spotty vision #probably more a visual snow rather than any cataracts just because of the shear number of space dust particles #which means poor nova the dark gets littered with static and stargazing has a little more stars than they were used to #though it might also be because they aren't perpetually wearing sunglasses anymore but then again shades are different than visual snow #i have no idea where i learnt this (i think it was a humans are space orcs thing) that spacewalks can be utterly TERRIFYING #so i don't know if this was a nasa (or other space organisation documented) observation or general fear of space moment #but if folk are terrified with their binocular vision to float around in an ever endless void of stars and systems- how would nova feel?#i mean sure they utterly revel in space (they're an astrophysicist and ex-professor for it for god's sake) but they're now IN space #and it was just after bunkbed junction crashed their concert and took apparently their helmet and headphones as a trophy #bestie having omnidirectional vision in space is one thing it's another to literally have the place your vision comes from spread out!#i mean being the object that is their head it's not going to run completely away from them

The whole time I've been reading Flatland I've tried to picture what a comparable version of it would be for a 4 dimensional being visiting a 3 dimensional being. I've been picturing 4d vision as being able to see the entire surface area of a 3d object all at once, but now I think that might be comparable to a 2d person thinking that 3d vision only means being able to see all of the exterior edges of an object at once, without picturing any of the planes that connect the lines. I think a more accurate description of 4d vision might involve being able to see *every single* cross-section of a 3d object all at once, from *every possible* angle at once, as one coherent visual whole. And the idea of someone being able to see every single cross-section of a body all at once, brain and guts and everything, laid out all together as if on a flat plane, is a horrifying mental image

#reading flatland #up until the moment where the sphere was like 'i can touch your plane aka your 'insides' without stabbing through your 'exterior' lines'#i was thinking of 4d in terms of time being the 4th dimension #but like. considering the 3d equivalent of being touched on ones plane is so fucked up.#imagine someone seemingly teleports into your house and touches your internal organs without making any cuts to get in there.#and they did not need to teleport to get in there #and bits and pieces of the visitor can be seen at different places across the room. but the pieces are all somehow connected to one whole #like if flatlanders had flat little arms they could have done that to the linelanders. touched multiple spots at once on their line #and held out their arms so it was on both sides of the linelanders vision.#and for us it would be even WORSE because it would Clearly be different parts of something. not just two points.#well i guess they wouldnt be two cross sections they would look like two separate 3d objects. but still #maybe like 2 separate people who may or may not look similar to eachother?????#and even though they can see peoples insides they dont have a way of showing us that??????????#contemplating the closest possible comparisons to what this square is going through is like.#full blown eldritch body horror.
