Sure, I can do this. Starting with Trigger Happy Havoc, obviously it's Kyoko. I love that girl so much, she's both cute and sharp as a knife, which, really, what more can you ask for in a character? I also love how her arc is about learning that people care about her and letting people in and stuff. One of my favorite types of character arcs. Seeing her finally, really trust people and realize that everything her father had done was for her benefit (to some degree) was awesome. She's even got some interesting stuff going on in the side material, which is great. Mukaro probably would've been a possible rival to her... if 90% of her appearances weren't in her Junko costume, and most of her original interactions stemming from exactly one side novel. She's such a cool character but she is literally the first to die so, she loses points for that, sadly.

We'll go timeline chronologically, so next up would be Ultra Despair Girls, and, let's be honest, there's only like 3 valid choices; Toko, Komaru, and Nagito. I really want to pick Toko, because I really do think she is the best character in UDG and the one who developed the most, and I enjoy her arc the most, but at the end of the day she is a Trigger Happy Havoc character who got DLC. So obviously, it defaults to Komaru, since she's the only one of those three unique to Ultra Despair Girls (as a full character at least), which I mean, it makes sense! Komaru is an awesome character, and her arc is fantastic. Learning to be her own person and to go beyond her limits as a "normal" person and to unlearn her own helplessness is great. Plus, she's really not normal at all. She's such a freak. I love her. Also why is she green. Funny green woman.

As much as I'd want to pick, say, Chiaki here, as much as I love her, she's not that deep of a character in all actuality, and The End of Hope's Peak (aka the anime) kind of butchers her even further, but if we're being honest, the best character in Goodbye Despair is obvious. It's fucking Nagito Komaeda. Good ol' fingers in his ass man. Who the fuck else would it be. He's the best character in the series; he practically carried my run of Ultra Despair Girls. He's just got so much going on. He IS Danganronpa, at its core. More than Junko, more than Makoto. He embodies what the entire series encapsulates in a microcosm. Believing in people despite everything, the conflict of hope and despair, the lying and deceit of the blackened, and even the weird ass innuendos (usually with Hajime). Also he married Sans. How could he not be my favorite.

Last, but certainly not least, Danganronpa V3 (sorry i havent even watched the anime or care about it really beyond it seeming to be pretty bad). I, uh.... hm. This is actually really hard to choose; I adore Kaede but she barely has any characterization or events in the game, so she's sadly getting the Mukaro Penalty. At least she gets to be herself for the whole game. Also, I love Miu, but most of what we know comes from very hard to find information, and most of the time she's actually genuinely a bit obnoxious in the trials, and no one really tries to help her get better. Keebo is fun, and I like robots, but at the end of the day he's still kinda Robo-Makoto, and Makoto doesn't have a ton going on. His relationship with Miu is the peak aspect of his character until Keebo gets his upgrades (which is very similar to how I feel about Makoto/Kyoko), but the payoff to that is just the audience surrogate twist which is... fine, I guess? Danganronpa has still sort of failed to deliver on a satisfying "robots are people too" story since most of their robots are/become the butt of a joke. Or die. Or both. So I guess that really just leaves Maki and Shuichi. And they're very close but... much like Kaede I have a bias for Shuichi just because I think the two of them are both very cute, so I'd probably go with him. (Even though I think Maki is the better character writing wise, I just have a bias.) He's also, unsurprisingly, an extremely compelling character even if I have gripes with the final trial in V3 and his role in it at times. Having a protagonist with an actual character arc is good, having him be conflicting about his detective work is actually incredibly unique in DR, if not just in general, his motivation with Kaede is godtier, his interactions with Kaito and Maki are fantastic, and overall I just really like him. He is someone I enjoyed spending my time with.

So, yeah. Those are my thoughts on my favorite characters for each Danganronpa game.

DR ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE AU!! Will feature the THH cast!

The zombie infection has four stages

Stage 1: 0-7 days after infection They feel irritable, and begin struggling to sleep. There is no aggression or visible signs of infection at this stage. Stage 2: 8-21 days after infection They begin to feel hostile (not yet violent) towards uninfected people. Their skin gets sickly, and they may feel feverish. They become unable to sleep, and their eyes become increasingly bloodshot. Towards the end of this stage, they begin hearing the hivemind. Stage 3: 22-30 days after infection They become aggressive and violent towards uninfected people. They are still able to think and feel, and they will likely still feel concern for their uninfected friends. However, the hivemind of other zombies will begin to override their own will to not harm those they care about. Their eyes become increasingly bloodshot, their skin takes on a purple-ish hue, their blood becomes danganronpa pink™, and they will move somewhat stiffly. Stage 4: 31+ days after infection They are fully connected to the hivemind, and will attack any uninfected people they encounter. Mental barriers that prevent people from doing actions that will harm themsleves are gone (AKA they're essentially on adrenaline all the time.) Their skin is much more purple, their eyes also become purple, and they move as is if they're puppets on strings. This stage can go on indefinitely, but they are likely to become seriously injured and die after not too long.

Makoto is connected to the hivemind for reasons that will be revealed, but he is NOT infected. Zombies will not attack him unless he tries to communicate to them through the hivemind. Which, considering he consistently tries to reason with the zombies through the hivemind... yeah.

They aren't sure exactly how the infection is transmitted, but they suspect it may be airborne.

characters: mukuro ikusaba, leon kuwata, sayaka maizono, makoto naegi, mr breast and crew(aka junko enoshima+sdr2 ensemble), rest of the thh ensemble is there too premise but in a nutshell: leomuku au about mr breast junko allegations ig premise but here's what actually happens:

the timeline is that the killing game never happened and the sdr2 cast and thh cast have never met each other before(barring junko). this takes place after high school and everyone has graduated and doing their own things

junko is running her own entertainment company with the sdr2 cast as her crew, using her fame and money to fill the media with her despairpilled agenda

mukuro is still working with junko but isn't part of the entertainment company and junko uses her as a scapegoat and so she takes the idenity of junko for the legal accusations so she gets arrested instead of the real junko

mukuro would recognize kyoko during the whole legalities stuff and byakuya and celeste would be able to provide some backdoor assistance with kyoko and would help mukuro get out of legal problems and try to organize a plan to deplatform junko

back during high school mukuro, sayaka, leon and makoto are a clique of friends so they still have each other's contacts and once mukuro is let out she tries to contact them again and makoto is the first to answer and tries to figure out what this group can do for mukuro

so makoto and sayaka take a gamble with getting sayaka's company to collab with the junko's company with the help with makoto to bring hope to the media that junko is using as propaganda to get everyone despairpilled

also uh the sdr2 cast gets mistreated by junko but they like actively did want to get into junko's crew so it takes a while for them to turn around. i think everyone there would reconsider and unpack their situation when they get in contact with makoto via association with sayaka during her collaboration

mukuro is the protag so like its lowkey leon x mukuro when leon shows up hes like her best friend in this au trust

anyways here's what i think their dynamic is like yeah. also mukuro isn't really emo please dont say she'd be too emo to be friends with leon eusdkgsklgfgdfjkl blargh

Well, to answer your question as to why, I think it has to do with most Byakuya fans wanting to write him with other members of the THH cast. Yeah, his backstory is interesting but they probably just don't care about his siblings.

Now, obviously I have written a backstory fic for him. Sure it's only 20K and not 200K, but it''s something. Not to mention I'm also planning to write a fic set between A Legacy Will Be Crowned and the epilogue of that fic, AKA him getting his acceptance letter into Hope's Peak Academy. And one of his time at HPA before the killing game too...

I do think there's a lot of his past that I still want to explore. And while I do think people will read it, there's a clear difference between wanting to write something and wanted to read it. I think most people just wouldn't find it entertaining enough to write.

But I guess I'm not most people then lol. Then again, his siblings don't interest me that much, more Byakuya himself... and his stupid dad lol.

As for you aroace Byakuya propaganda... you're at the right place here lol. No idea if you've read my fics, but Byakuya is aroace in every single one of them and I make sure to mention it whenever I can. It's literally one of my fav headcanons.

That said, Ultimates by Seashellcosmos also includes some aroace Byakuya mentions! Also just has a bunch of Byakuya content, including some bits about his past (there will also be 'short' backstory fics focusing on each of the THH characters eventually).

I, uh, love Ultimates and that whole fic series a lot, so if you're a Byakuya fan, it's a must to check it out.

Both your danganronpa and creepypasta content is pretty cool! In a post about Garry, you mentioned you thought about a crossover with him and danganronpa, what kind of ideas did you have for that?

oh!! oh!! I had what I think is a really adorable idea!!

Basically this crossover would take place in a sort of non-killing game kind of au. Like the apocalypse still happens and the students are trapped in the school but Junko and Mukuro are normal students and everyone is just doing their best to live in the school till it's over.

Now how it happens is Garry got separated from his family and ended up being chased into some sewer. He escapes his attackers end up crawling up into the drainage that happens to lead into Hope's Peaks Trash pit and from there crawling into the school.

Once inside the main school, he catches a sense of something familiar! He wonders through the halls, following it to Yasuhiro's room! Managing to get in, and finds Hiro asleep. Seeing him instantly as a friend because Hiro has something from his family (rather that be some slender notes or something idk) and joins him right in the bed. Course you can imagine how that goes when Hiro actually wakes up

Thank goodness the rooms are sound proof right?? After that shebang and they settle down, Hiro learns who he is and why he's here. Now seeing how he's just a little lost pup (though a strange one at that ) he basically agrees to take care of him. Not like he's going to send the poor little guy back outside in all that mess!! However fearing how the others would take to a strange skull pup he keeps a secrets for now.

Course it's really hard to keep a secret in such a place. So it doesn't take long for others to notice Hiro's sudden changes. Like how he starts carrying his coat in a bundle in his arms or the excess food he takes to his room.

Hiro was able to keep them at bay for a while but soon (especially thanks to Junko ) the students became on edge about what kind of secret Hiro is hiding. (since in their situation a secret could threaten their safety)

With Junko in charge, they ambush Hiro in his room to force him to reveal his secret. Garry was hiding but as he listens to the others interrogate and threaten Hiro he became scared so he showed himself in means to protect him, but in a way, not even Hiro was expecting.

Everyone is shocked to see him (including Hiro because this is the first time he's seen Garry as human ). After being bombard with questions and answering they eventually come to the censuses that it's better to let Garry stay with them in the school.

Now here the story takes a change as everyone pitches in to take care of him. After learning that Garry has never been to school before, and them being ultimate, they get the great idea of becoming teachers based on their skills!!

and sort of where the story tappers off into shenanigans.

The students attempting to be responsible with Garry and be teachers to him.

Garry being the weird and mysterious kid that he is ( if yall remember, he can see ghosts! so guess why he stares at Mondo a lot)

Junko trying to dig deeper knowing Garry and Hiro are hiding something else from everyone ( aka his monster form)

cameos of some of the pastas and of course Eyeless coming to get his pup at some point

or like how Garry was able to sneak inside in the first place without anyone noticing

So if yall are interesting in hearing/seeing those moments let me know/send asks but that's the jest of the idea of the crossover with Garry and the THH cast

Yikes! Someone got the Chiaki treatment… aka silly little idea from a fangan idea I had where the THH cast is revived somehow and the people from their motivation tapes are w them, some of whom do eventually murder. But uhh one of the motives/challenges (as Monokuma wants to try something new.) involves each person to go through some sort of a challenge (ex: Takaaki can’t miss a single target, Celeste has to try and get out of a burning room without dying, etc)

Safe to say. Taka just BARELY survives.

Miscellaneous dr!corruption AU Info-Nuggets!

Chihiro's wrist whips are fully retractable to the point where only the barb-like ends poke out of their wrists.

Celeste is the only THH cast members to react positively to her Husk changes.

Fuyuhiko's Husk form is actually the largest in the GD cast.

Sakura is the largest Husk in THH, and, surprisingly, Kaito is the largest Husk in V3.

Kaito is not the heaviest though, that trophy belongs to Gonta. (Yes there is a reason for this.)

All talents are transmitted to the characters' husk forms, which can lead to odd scenarios.

Though their forms share common elements, Syo and Toko have completely separate Husk forms.

Kaede can now produce piano notes out of her voice box. She primarily uses this skill to write exceedingly complex piano music.

Everyone is 95% sure Mondo has an organ similar to an engine somewhere in his body now, but nobody wants to ask him where.

(Taka and Chihiro know, though.)

Teruteru has a large mouth on his stomach. It can't talk and everyone is very glad that it cannnot.

Admittedly, Kirumi does appreciate the extra appendages for completing requests.

Nobody can tell what Kazuchi is supposed to be. A shark? Hyena? His hair - fur? QUILLS? - are still pink though.

Junko is arguably more insane here than in the canon, which is saying something.

All of the Warriors of Hope Husk designs have elements from the mechs they use in the boss battles (i.e. drills, bombs, sniper elements, etc.).

Byakuya's husk form is surprisingly small.

The Four Dark Devas of Destruction still love and appreciate Gundam, even though his Husk form has far too many teeth and his skin actually secretes poison now.

Kiibo is the only member of any of the casts to never be infected with corruption. Da robot just vibes with his physically mutilated friends :)

Yasuhiro's hands kinda resemble frog feet now. It freaks him out.

Chiaki is unfortunately still dead in this au (and her death is even more nausea inducing that before), but AI!Chiaki does still exist and loves her classmates very much.

DR3 does still happen, though I do want to rework a lot of shit to make it fit better.

Mondo's head can be pulled off now. Though he initially despised it, he eventually enjoys using it to freak out FF employees.

Rantaro, Chihiro, and AI!Chiaki are the only characters to not reach Stage 4 or 5.

Peko and Maki both have blade like appendages on their Husk forms for obvious reasons.

Mukuro has spear like appendages instead.

Kokichi's heart is actually partially outside of his body, and you can see his heartbeat if you watch his chest for a couple of seconds.

Sayaka and Leon's main gimmicks are the opposite of one another. Sayaka draws Husks in with her voice and Leon can yell so loud that they run as far away from him as possible. These two gimmicks are used in puzzles together to get certain enemies into certain places.

Instead of a respiratory illness, Kaito's muscle mass is physically rotting away for most of the V3 run. He, in true Kaito fashion, hides this from the others for as long as he possibly can.

Nagito's Husk form is also rotting away. However, Nagito is also the only Husk with regeneration, AKA a healing factor. Just like his luck, Nagito's body is also in a constant cycle of good and bad.

It's, easier to comprehend n Digest Haru w/ that in mind. "Right. She's Kodaka's girl…" the reversible cover of V3 features Haru, prominently. That sort of thing. Genuinely shocked she doesn't have a figure yet, esp in the fashion of the bunnygirls, but Haru is quite controversial re: popularity. That might be why.

I could ramble. I've talked abt her, at length, and i'll spare you the howlings of 'SHE! ANGIE! NARRATIVE FOILS!!!' lucky you, on this special day

overall fandom re: haru has, a sort of, pendulum effect. One side or the other. 'She abuses, tortures, prolly would waterboard Ou,' or, 'sad girl who deserves the best,' y'know. The first part, I see mostly, in 310 fic. Whump. Ou bruised for h/c and Sai gives Haru n co. a PIECE OF HIS MIND!!! The latter… hahhhhhh.. Haru/Momo fic, or, 'Right! Haru's here too!' gotta include her somewhere. Give her a happy ending, a relationship w/ Momo. Done.

Fans heighten desirable characteristics, if they Mostly-like her, or her negatives if they Mostly-hate her. This sort of Upping the Ante isn't female-restricted, no, but the dials are ticked furthermore.

I can't think of any vthree girl that fandom 'gets,' really. N don't misunderstand me - the girls of the cast aren't TOO COMPLEX for these IMMATURE VIEWERS to UNDERSTAND!!! No, 'you have to have a high IQ,' bullshit. Rather, I think, people are tired and more inclined to extremes. Either tired of being 'annoyed' by girls - this is how we get Haru-basking - or tired of girl-hate, which is how we get to Haru, or Aka, [x girl here]-loving. Both of which don't cusp the truth of the girl.

And - I do this. You do this. I wave away a lot of Tenko's, Loudness n Hatred re: men, but not out of ignoring. I do acknowledge, even like it, due to my view of her backstory from the gleams we see. Kyoko Kirigiri

aka, one of my favorite women ever. one, her design is AMAZING. oh my god. two, i love how shes such a complex character? on one hand, we have the kyoko thats always ~cool and composed~, never lets her feelings show, isnt afraid to touch dead bodies just to solve the case, etc. but then, we have her comforting naegi after trial one, saving and opening up to him after trial 5, trusting him with some extremely important info, getting angry after alter ego says that the headmaster is probably the mastermind, feels betrayed after makoto keeps secrets from her despite earlier saying he wont, talking to ryota about her feelings about makoto, sacrificing herself just to save him? amazing. immaculate. and thats only barely scratching the surface of how many-dimensional of a character she is. and i love her.

oh lemme just. so at first, when you meet mikan, shes like. the stereotypical cutesy character, yeah? oh, shes so nice to everyone, she gets bullied but keeps being a sweetheart, shes shy and clumsy, all that. but then you hear her say that she relates to the feeling of wanting very gruesome revenge, or that she only became a nurse bc that way people are forced to talk to her, and you find out about her. VERY SERIOUS trauma, and youre like oh. and then she Remembers, KILLS TWO PEOPLE, and snaps at everyone and youre like OH. and thats only, like, the very beginning. besides, her design not only is very pretty, but is also one of the most fitting for her character. in this essay i will-

alright so ima be honest with you, when i first played thh? i didnt like toko. like, at all. she was one of my most disliked characters from the cast but then her free time events and udg happened, and lemme say this, they are, so good. like, in fte you actually get a lot of answers about why toko acts the way she does and why she split, and her character in udg is just GODLY. like, i really love it bc she actually became much more likeable while still maintaining her sarcastic and sometimes even just outright rude attitude. i could talk about her for HOURS.

Anyway: mm Kyoko is essentially just a rogue cop who takes it on herself to stop ult despair and in doing so, becomes ult despair without realizing it.

She is very much for the greater good about it and her thinking has become so warped that she traps who she believes to be ult despair, aka the thh cast, in hpa to corner them all. But 15 against 1 isn't fair so she manipulates their memories in order to make them more compliant.

And if they kill each other off and rid the world of despair, all the better
