Okay here me out-

Taka learning to braid cause he's tired of hearing Mondo complain about having to spend a ton of time untangling his pomp before actually styling it and after Taka starts doing the braiding at take down time, Mondo's hair starts getting really curly.

Skiddo would trot over to them not long after and proudly circle him, a small chuckle leaving him as he bent down and patted him before Stuffy did the same. While he could be quite the handful he was one of the most loyal Pokemon he knew and he was glad he had been so quick to handle things. Those other Pokemon would have been much tougher if he hadn't.

Though at the sound and Morty's words he would blink in bewilderment, hardly getting to think of how to respond before Stuffy spun around him and cheered him on. As unsure of how worthy he was to get to see it he couldn't exactly say no with how excited the Ghost type was. He had always been one of the first to encourage him despite his worries.

"A-ah... A-alright... E-eh...? I-I... I-I suppose I w-wouldn't mind..."

The sight of a Banette made him smile a bit. Ah, of course, it would be a pokemon like this. Once someone bonded with a Banette, it was hard to get the ghost types to ever go away or to abandon their trainer, much like how they had been once… if they were even created that way and not just born from an egg. Though, it was rather cute just how far it had to have come to just help the ranger out. 

“I see, that’s good. One of my pokemon should be getting them, if you wish to be reacquainted with your partner pokemon before they arrive.” 

From the sounds, it wouldn’t be much longer. While the perpetrator struggled against the bindings, they were tied securely enough for it to not be a worry as the officers took them and the explosives out of the cave. It was certainly a weight that was lifted off of Morty’s shoulders at the sight. Legendary pokemon might be what but Ecruteak on the map, but he could do without trainers trying to get to them. Though, there was another sound that caught his attention. 

“Hm.. and none too soon, it seems that a local is returning… say, would you want to see a legendary pokemon, even just a glimpse for your troubles?”
