Korekiyo's execution is brutal to me not because he doesn't deserve it, but because it's a complete deconstruction of the ideals and belief that brought him to kill

If for him the afterlife exists and that's why he was willing to kill almost a hundred people, denying him of that and using the person who he centered his whole life and ideals to, all meanwhile she is laughing and standing by the creature who is doing this to him, its brutal! Even if he deserves it! It is still brutal!

That's why I like it so much! Its not about whether or not he deserves that, it's about what that execution represents for him, his motive was futile, his actions only brought more grief into the world, the person he did this for didn't even love him, and he does not even have the time to acknowledge all of this because he is been denied access to the afterlife.

It feels different than other executions because it not only brings Kiyo's talent into but it brings his beliefs into it, that's why it's good and that's why it's brutal.
