A Murder-To-Be At The Togami Mansion

After Byakuya becomes the victim of an attempted murder, it's up to Kyoko to try and find the killer. But since this is a far from safe situation, she decides to bring along her wonderful girlfriend and trained soldier: Mukuro.

You know I let out a squeal when reading Byakuya's UTDP events and coming across this:

Like, sure it could just be his feelings- or rather lack of- for Toko, but it could also be about his feelings about romance in general... and as an aroace Byakuya truther (the truther I would almost say) I am most defenitely seeing it like that hehe.

Well, to answer your question as to why, I think it has to do with most Byakuya fans wanting to write him with other members of the THH cast. Yeah, his backstory is interesting but they probably just don't care about his siblings.

Now, obviously I have written a backstory fic for him. Sure it's only 20K and not 200K, but it''s something. Not to mention I'm also planning to write a fic set between A Legacy Will Be Crowned and the epilogue of that fic, AKA him getting his acceptance letter into Hope's Peak Academy. And one of his time at HPA before the killing game too...

I do think there's a lot of his past that I still want to explore. And while I do think people will read it, there's a clear difference between wanting to write something and wanted to read it. I think most people just wouldn't find it entertaining enough to write.

But I guess I'm not most people then lol. Then again, his siblings don't interest me that much, more Byakuya himself... and his stupid dad lol.

As for you aroace Byakuya propaganda... you're at the right place here lol. No idea if you've read my fics, but Byakuya is aroace in every single one of them and I make sure to mention it whenever I can. It's literally one of my fav headcanons.

That said, Ultimates by Seashellcosmos also includes some aroace Byakuya mentions! Also just has a bunch of Byakuya content, including some bits about his past (there will also be 'short' backstory fics focusing on each of the THH characters eventually).

I, uh, love Ultimates and that whole fic series a lot, so if you're a Byakuya fan, it's a must to check it out.

So, yeah. Hope that answered your question and gave you some fics to look forward to! These future fics of mine won't get posted any time soon, but I do also have a bunch of other Byakuya-centric fics to check out if you haven't already hehe.

Alrighty! My requests are closed now, which means it's time to write them! Now, there are also some old ones I, uh, never wrote, so those will be included this time. That means there are a total of 10 requests!

The order I'll write them in will be mostly random. Now, 4 of them are Ulywolf so those will probably be spread out a bit, but that's it order wise.

No. Not walked, but stumbled out of in case of the psychic. Wearing a white loose shirt with multiple holes and stains, horrible shorts, and slippers out of all footwear, the psychic stumbled out of the house like a drunk ogre.

It was in that moment that Byakuya regretted every decision he had made up until this point. Because this man was no high ranked magic user or psychic, but merely a complete idiot. And yet somehow Byakuya’s future seemed to depend on his vision.

He was doomed, wasn’t he?

While I don't really write the Makoto, Kyoko, and Byakuya trio in my fics, I do absolutely love it. Especially with my headcanons.

Like, Naegiri and third wheel Byakuya. But a third wheel Byakuya who's aromantic and is disgusted by romance.

Kyoko, who is not really the type for public displays of affection knows this.

She will hold Makoto's hand whenever Byakuya's near. Kisses him in the cheek all the time because if there's one thing in the world she loves almost as much as Makoto, it's annoying Byakuya.

This is all in a very sibling type way tho. Byakuya and Kyoko are friends, they just love annoying each other too.

And Makoto is just :D cuz he loves public displays of affection... And he knows what Kyoko is doing too

What's your opinion about DR: Togami?

Short answer: I hate it. I hate every single thing about it because none of it makes sense.

But obviously, you don't come here for short answers. So, a long answer is what you'll get. And for this post I'll focus mostly on the backstory part we got. I could talk about the rest of DR:T another time, but it's simply too much to put in one post.

But everything we got to know about his backstory in there doesn't make sense. It literally contradicts his FTE's.

There never were 108 children, just 15. The 108 actually came from Imposter's FTE's, which was showing to us that they weren't the real Byakuya and was lying. Byakuya doesn't have 108 siblings. He has 14.

The funny thing, what Imposter says lines up with what we got in DR:T. Almost as if the writers did so little research that they read the wrong Byakuya's FTE's

The whole ranking system also takes away from Byakuya being the youngest. That was his whole thing- he was the strongest despite being the youngest.

And then there's the fact that Byakuya's siblings die... the exact thing Byakuya clarified didn't happen.

They literally had the chance to give us the Byakuya backstory we deserve, but instead they gave us a mess. Simple because they wanted to make it more interesting. Like, no.

There are many ways to make his backstory into an interesting story without deaths! I've literally done it myself. It's very different from the events we see in DR:T, but keeps in line with the facts we do know. It really wasn't that hard.

Then there's also currently this fic getting written, which seems to follow the DR:T more closely while actually keeping true to canon.

DR:T had so much potential and ruined it. It wanted to be entertaining so badly that it gave us a bad story that didn't make any sense.

So, that's my opinion lol. As always, you- and everybody else reading this post- can send me more asks related to Byakuya! Oh, and his dad too...

Befriending The Heir- Chapter 14

Byakuya and Toko discuss romance in fiction, which quickly develops into a conversation as romance as a whole and Byakuya's feelings on it... and his own feelings as well.

Was going through all of Byakuya's UTDP and DR:S interactions to see if he had one with Sakura for the newest chapter of Befriending The Heir (they don't...) when I get disctracted and came across this.

Now, I'm a big Byakuya & Junko friendship fan, and safe to say, I immediately had to take a close look at this. Because based on Byakuya's expression and Junko's response, he does care.

And that's not something we see him do with everybody. It almost never happens, so it was very interesting to see.

Also, he also has an interaction with Mukuro disguised as Junko where she convinces him not only too let their class onto his private beach, but also for him to come...

Almost as if he listens to Junko more than others... Maybe he likes her (platonically ofc) more than he would want to admit...

But really, all of these interactions are very interesting. So, if there's one with Byakuya you want me to talk about, just send me an ask! Love analysing stuff!

Befriending The Heir- Chapter 13

After getting to eat at an expensive restaurant, Sakura feels the need to thank Byakuya.

The new Pokemon Legends: ZA info we got yesterday made me think about we didn't see there- the plot. Obviously the Pokemon Direct has given us some bits, but I really want to talk about Jett.

A lot of people think that she will be the villain, but I don't think that's true. But before I talk about that, I think we need to talk about her first. Or really, who she looks like.

She looks a lot like Colress, especially with her hair. She has this big swoop at the front, and while it is different from Colress', there's a streak of blue in there.

That leaves me no doubt that they're related. And based on how Jett looks and how most likely takes place in the near future, I'd say she's Colress' mom.

And that is exactly why it doesn't make sense for her to be the villain. Game Freak is trying to pull a reverse Volo on us- have a character obviously be related to a villain to make us distrust them. Volo was the opposite of that, being a villain that we trusted partly because he's most likely related to Cynthia.

Game Freak wants us to distrust Jett, just for her to turn out to be a good guy. Especially after all of the 'evil CEO's' we've had, Game Freak wants to do the opposite. Give us a good CEO.

It also makes sense from a lore standpoint. If Jett is a good guy, a good person, then it would make sense for Colress to be in Unova. He wouldn't be able to do his research in Kalos because his mom would know and disprove of it.

If Jett was eveil then Colress would've had no reason to join Team Plasma- he could've used his mom's corporation for whatever he needed. But since he knew that she wouldn't approve of his research, he left.

That's why I think Jett won't be the villain. It doesn't make sense lore wise and it's just plain boring story wise.

The Heir Of Despair- Chapter 15

Byakuya deals with the aftermath of getting injured, which apparently includes a talk with Junko. The day after, Makoto gets asked a favour from Toko and talks with Sayaka later that day.

Things can't seem to stay peaceful for even a day though.

Recently watched Morel Orel and I drew so many paralells between Kijo and Clay and it makes me want to run around my apartment.

Just,,,, He is so Clay. The closeted gay man??? The powerful figure??? The fucked up sense of love and caring for others????

I am normal about this awful, wretched little businessman. I need to be hit with a hammer.

I think the killing game was designed in such a way that it would be harder or the smarter students in the class. Maybe it was to give everybody an equal chance or Junko wanted to make sure that they too would fall into despair, but it's clear to me that this is a fact.

Now, with the smart students I mean Kyoko, Celeste, and Byakuya. I think we can all agree on that. Obviously Makoto is smart too, but the whole thing is just his hope vs Junko's despair, so I'm not counting that.

But as for these 3? Well, Kyoko's the most obvious. Junko wiped her memories, made her forget she was a detective along with a lot more. This made it harder for her to solve the murders, which in turn gave the killers a higher chance to succeed than the zero chance they would've had otherwise.

Memory problems also made Kyoko more vunerable. Sure, the others didn't know about them, but Kyoko doesn't look the most... physically strong, that much is true. Somebody might've targeted her because of that and her lack of menmory certainly wouldn't help.

Then for Celeste it's the motives. The first one not so much, at least not more than for almost everybody else, but it's a different story when we look at the second and third one. Secrets and money.

Celeste sure does have a secret she wants to hide- her real name. The only reason she most likely didn't kill then was because things weren't alligned well. But from what we know how she reacted to her real name... Yeah, she would've done anything to make sure it stayed hidden.

As for the third motive... Well, that speaks for itself. But to add onto that- most of the people in the killing game were already decently rich. They would've had no reason to kill. It was as if Junko knew that Celeste specifically wouldn't be able to withhold herself from taking it. She probably did know tbh.

And then there's Byakuya. The dude I have thoughts about like no other. For him it was the way the killing game was. Fifteen people where only one could come on top. The losers would be (as good as) dead.

That description doesn't just fit the killing game, but the Legacy Crown Championship Byakuya went through to become heir as well. There's absolutely no way that's a coincidence.

Yes, Byakuya's siblings just got exhiled, but Byakuya said that it was akin to death.

It's almost the exact same. It's the reason why I made this post talking about how I would think Byakuya would act differently outside of the killing game. Because he's implimenting the same strategies as before. The ones that made him win.

And all of these things amount to the same thing- they were targeted and made with one reason only: despair.
