Okay wait but this is actually a fun AU, I dunno why I didn't explore it earlier.
So Anakin has slightly more than .1% of a braincell and decides to ask Ahsoka to join him on Malachor instead of trying to kill her, and she says yes, on one condition: Palpatine dies. They both escape Malachor, no WBW shenanigans necessary, and they go kill Palpatine like good Sith apprentices do. But Anakin just takes his place as Emperor, and when Ahsoka tries to protest, he asks why she is suddenly so unfaithful, so disloyal, doesn't she LOVE him? This is what she asked for and he did it, now she has to become his apprentice like she promised she would. It works, and Ahsoka stays, becoming Darth Malis, right hand of Emperor Vader.
Darth Malis becomes much the same as what Darth Vader had been. She is the Emperor's weapon of mass destruction, the person who gets sent to strike fear in the hearts of the Emperor's enemies and eliminate any and all threats to people who would oppose him. She is meant to be the last face those people will probably ever see and a symbol of the might of the Empire. Ahsoka hates herself for what she is doing, she hates what she's become, but her attachment to Anakin is stronger than that hatred. She can't leave him again even if she wanted to try. She kills, she threatens, she tortures. She learns very quickly not to try to question Anakin on anything or she ends up getting tortured herself instead (Anakin learned this teaching method from the best after all and it was incredibly effective on him so he has no problems replicating it on his own student).
Anakin also decides to delegate pretty much everything he doesn't care about to Ahsoka, which includes everything and anything to do with the Death Star. But Anakin is really shit at this, so he forgets to actually specify to Ahsoka that he wants her to defund/destroy the Death Star, so she just... takes over what little managing Anakin was doing on the project and keeps it going but never reports anything to Anakin about it because he specified that he never wanted to hear about it ever again. Anakin DOES start getting in reports when Jedha and Scarif are destroyed, but he's kind-of shit at this whole Emperor thing and leaves most of the actual work to other people, so it's not until after Alderaan is destroyed that he starts picking up on some whispers going around and looks at his reports and calls up Ahsoka absolutely ENRAGED and demanding to know what the fuck is going on.
By this point, Obi-Wan, Luke, and Han have already made it onto the Death Star and escaped with Leia. Ahsoka is nowhere near as familiar with Obi-Wan or as powerful as Anakin was, so she doesn't really notice Obi-Wan's presence and focuses instead on trying to track down Han and Luke, which leaves Obi-Wan free to get back to the Falcon and reclaim it from the Empire before the rest of them show up. Ahsoka has to explain to Anakin not only is the Death Star project that he'd thought he'd destroyed years ago still going and the damn thing is in fact fully operational, but also they just lost a prisoner because his old pal Obi-Wan showed up and completely handed all of them their asses. Anakin only allows them to continue using the Death Star to take out Yavin 4 because at this point the only thing that can make this situation better is if the rebellion (and ideally Obi-Wan) is completely obliterated before he gives the order to FINALLY get rid of the stupid Death Star.
During the final battle, it's still Luke making the final shot on the Death Star and Ahsoka is out in a TIE fighter that gets hit before she can take out Luke, but she isn't knocked very far away and the Death Star's explosion manages to catch her downed ship, leaving her badly injured and stranded among the rubble. Obi-Wan can tell she's still alive out there and insists on going out to try to collect her and bring her back to the Rebellion to get medical assistance (a decision NOBODY likes, but that no one is willing to entirely refuse him over either since he's, you know, Obi-Wan Kenobi and he's saying it's the will of the Force or whatever).
Ahsoka lives, but she's pretty out of it for a while and very injured (the Rebels aren't willing to really use up a ton of their medical resources on her, no matter how much they respect Obi-Wan), so she's not super capable of fighting back and can't do much to get herself out of whatever locked room or cell they put her in, especially with Obi-Wan intentionally making sure he's in there with her as much as possible to keep an eye on her.
Obi-Wan keeps trying to talk to her, keeps trying to figure out what happened to her (Rex is there and so is Hera and they're able to explain what happened on Malachor and what they've been able to figure out about Vader's new apprentice Darth Malis before now). He wasn't able to save Anakin and he KNOWS he can't reach Anakin because Anakin doesn't want to be saved, but something tells him that Ahsoka DOES. Ahsoka is not lost to him the way Anakin is and it's worth the work it takes to convince her away from the darkness she chose so she could stay with Anakin. And little by little, piece by piece, she starts to come back to herself. She starts to heal and let go of the attachment to Anakin, the guilt she feels over what happened to him, the grief over the loss of the Jedi. She starts remembering who she was even though she still isn't entirely sure who she is or who she's become.
By the time the events of ESB rolls around, Ahsoka is no longer a prisoner, but she's still recovering from everything that's happened to her. Obi-Wan has been giving Luke AND Leia some training in the Force (they went back to grab the lightsaber parts Obi-Wan had on Tatooine so that Leia can also have a lightsaber rather than all three of them attempting to share two lightsabers) and both of them are aware of the truth about their parentage (Obi-Wan told them about being twins, but it was Ahsoka who revealed the truth about Anakin early on in her time with the Rebellion because she knew it would hurt them). So Obi-Wan insists that Luke and Leia go to Dagobah and he asks that they take Ahsoka with them, but Obi-Wan himself leaves with Han in order to provide a distraction for Anakin and the Empire.
Ahsoka obviously knows exactly who Yoda is, but she's also perfectly aware that Yoda is testing Luke and Leia when he shows up in the camp and has zero problems pretending she has no clue who he is. Yoda had been a little worried about the darkness he felt lingering in Ahsoka, but when she plays along with his prank he realizes she must be okay.
Obi-Wan and Han are having a terrible time. Obi-Wan leads them into the asteroid worm's mouth KNOWING it's an asteroid worm mouth because he can either convince it to let them stay for a minute or he keeps it asleep or something. Han is NOT into this idea which is exactly why Obi-Wan didn't TELL HIM what the idea was but Han freaks out when he figures out where they were and is not super chill about just trusting that Obi-Wan can keep them from getting eaten, so they leave. They still get followed by Boba when they go to Bespin and Anakin still shows up there, but instead of Anakin trying to just lay a trap for Luke (who he DOES know is his son because Luke obviously is using the name Skywalker), he's trying to confront Obi-Wan into just GIVING him Luke (he'd be asking for Ahsoka, too, but he actually has no idea that the Rebellion even HAVE Ahsoka, he thinks she died with the Death Star). Obi-Wan beats his ass and tosses him down a power shaft where he miraculously gets his cloak caught on a pipe or something where he just has to hang as Obi-Wan goes to deal with Boba trying to capture Han (thankfully Lando has this one managed generally, Han never even gets frozen in carbonite at all). Obi-Wan has things so well in hand that no one on Dagobah even gets any visions of trouble.
Obi-Wan drops off Han and Lando with the Rebellion and then goes off to meet Luke, Leia, and Ahsoka on Dagobah where he assists Yoda in training for the next six months.
While they're all there, Ahsoka takes a moment to have a quiet conversation with Obi-Wan about her future. She tells him that while she's definitely no longer a Sith, she's not sure she'll ever truly be able to be a Jedi again, either. She strayed so far from that path and is such a different person now that she doesn't think she'll ever really be able to finish the journey she started so long ago. Obi-Wan tells her that he's proud of her, that she doesn't NEED to be a Jedi to be a good person, and that she would be worthy of help and care regardless.
There is no second Death Star, but eventually the Rebellion has to make one final push to try to take down the Empire. And its Emperor. As they get ready for the final confrontation, Obi-Wan feels something Off and finds a nervous Ahsoka to be its source. She's hiding away in the rebel base somewhere and he convinces her to talk to him. Luke and Obi-Wan are preparing to go confront Anakin in the morning, while Leia and Ahsoka prepare to lead a ground offense while Anakin is distracted. But Ahsoka is starting to feel that maybe this is the wrong plan. She tells Obi-Wan that she knows she's never been a child of prophecy, that she's advanced but not ridiculously powerful, she's not even Anakin's flesh and blood. But he MADE her, in so many ways. He bent and twisted her into a shape that pleased him, he took her love and tortured it into a thing that kept him in power and caused others nothing but pain. She is his in a way that Luke and Leia never will be.
And she's starting to realize that she wasn't really meant to be here, that she probably wasn't necessarily SUPPOSED to be in this story, but she is now and that's changed things. She thinks that perhaps, in a different version of this story, it was meant to be Luke, or Leia, maybe even Obi-Wan. And they're all still acting out that story. But maybe, just maybe, it's supposed to be HER this time. She knows in her soul that she needs to face him, that she needs to look at the man she had loved to destruction as she tears him down from his seat of power so he can never hurt anyone again. She's not a Jedi, she's not a child of prophecy, this isn't some grand destiny that she's playing out, it's just one scarred soul facing the source of her greatest pain and acknowledging it for what it is so she can refuse to let it control her or the galaxy ever again. It's not really ABOUT her and she knows it, it's about all of the other people in the galaxy with a story just like hers, the other people who have suffered because of the choices of one man, the people who will bear scars for the rest of their lives as a result. She's one among many, speaking for all of them when she looks darkness in the face and says "no more."
Obi-Wan hears her out before saying that this plan of hers could easily result in not just Anakin's death, but her own as well. He doesn't need a response, though. He can see from the look on her face that she knows and she's prepared to make that sacrifice on behalf of the galaxy. She'd rather die than let him hurt anyone else.
So in the morning, Obi-Wan takes Luke and Leia to reclaim the galaxy while Ahsoka goes to finally face Anakin once and for all. Anakin, thinking that she's been dead all this time, believes for a moment that he's seeing a ghost. This person in front of him certainly doesn't FEEL like the apprentice he'd left behind on the Death Star. But as she walks closer, he feels the truth, and he denounces her as a traitor, a faithless, cowardly liar who had promised she'd never leave him again. Ahsoka refuses to let his pain compromise her a second time. She accepts it, accepts the pain she has caused, and then stands firm. She doesn't immediately attempt to kill him, she speaks to him, reminding him of the person she'd first met, the person who'd laughed with her, the person who'd cared for her. She reminds him of the Jedi, of the things the Order had taught them both, the philosophies Anakin had begun to pass on to her that he'd learned from Obi-Wan, who had learned it from Qui-Gon and Yoda. She says Anakin's pain aloud, the fears he'd revealed only to Darth Malis when he'd believed her bent enough to be broken, bringing them out from the darkness he hid them in, but he still refuses to acknowledge them. She shows him that even she was capable of finding her way onto a better path. And he had turned her into a twisted reflection of himself, so if she can make it back, so can he.
Unlike on Malachor, Ahsoka isn't fighting in anger or consumed by her own emotions, and it is this which allows her, finally, to surpass him. It is this which allows her to defeat him, this fractured mirror of every terrible choice she has ever made. But Ahsoka is not Obi-Wan, who could not kill the boy he trained. And she is not Luke, who in another version of this story, would not kill his father. Ahsoka does what she can to convince him to leave the dark behind, and when he refuses, she brings his story to its definitive end. There will be no redemption for Anakin Skywalker, but he will rejoin the Force, as all things must do eventually, and become part of the balance he had once been intended to create.
The Rebellion defeats the Empire on Endor and the celebration lasts long into the night. Obi-Wan waits for Ahsoka, not entirely certain if she managed to survive her confrontation with Anakin. He'd felt the destruction of the darkness and the return of balance in the Force, and those two things sort-of overwhelmed anything else. Eventually, Obi-Wan has to leave with Luke, Leia, and the rest of the Rebellion. He never sees Ahsoka again, but he knows that wherever she is, whether she rejoined the Force or not, she has found the peace she had so desperately desired.
The most hilarious thing about Twilight of the Apprentice is that Anakin is so terrified that Ahsoka will reject him the way Padme and Obi-Wan do, that she won't side with him, that he completely misses exactly HOW bad of a mental space she is in in that moment and that if he'd asked her to go Sith with him in that moment, she probably would've just to assuage her own guilt and keep him from being lonely or whatever it is she's upset about in Rebels.

Note
in regards to your padme post, what if padme WAS put into the space monk order and groomed by the literal devil alongside anakin? How do you think she would've turned out?
#you can't put tags in asks #but I'm doing it anyways #padme and anakin are some of my favorite star wars characters
The galaxy is fucked. That's it, thanks for your ask. /hj
The thing is that Palpatine is so...insidious (lol) that I fully believe he could groom anyone to be a Darth Vader if he has the opportunity.
Look at Luke, with Luke it didn't work because he didn't have years of manipulation and Luke did have more stable relationships and less all-consumming insecurities compared to Anakin, and a much less dogmatic understanding of bieng A Good Jedi (tm),,,AND LUKE STILL ALMOST FALLS.
Even if you want to take the sequels as canon...He also didn't have the time to groom Rey for years, and still almost succeds.
Padmé saw Palpatine as a sort of political mentor but could realize she was being played, but Palpatine didn't warp her into world-changing views.
But regarding your question, I think it would depend a lot and there's a lot of factors playing, like: Do she and Anakin bond? Why did Palpatine pick her? Or is this a reverse situation? Was she also brough as an older kid or was taken as a baby?
If we simplify it to "She was the one super strong in the force so Palpatine picked her for apprentice", yeah, I think we would have had Darth Amidala, perhaps less ruthless and murderous than Vader, more subtle and way more cold, but...idk, look at the other people Sidious got his hand into (Maul, Dooku).
If Padmé and Anakin had bonded, and Sheev had wanted Padmé as his apprentice, then I bet he would've find some way to get rip off of Anakin and anyone close to her, isolating and cutting away any ties to love or comforts is first and foremost.
Even if Anakin had been another apprentice to Sheev, then Palpatine was in for just some fun games and see how to get one of his apprentices kill, betray or in some way get out of the picture so only the best one remains.
Sheev is an incredible villain because he's always playing 4D Chess and he adapts his plan on the go.
When it comes to AUs like this, I think we're talking about the very human and sad nature that is being vulnerable to manipulation, no matter how smart.
Sometimes we want to think "oh if it hadn't been Anakin, if it had been -insert goodie good character-, things would've changed", but the fact is that no one is infalible. Groomers change their game and attack the weakness they see and adapt to their victim needs, and Palpatine is terrifying in that regard. And is a supporting system what helps people to get out.
Padmé is brave, smart and competent, but guess what, so was Anakin. And I think Palpatine would have exploited her weakness if he had chosen her as a victim instead of Anakin. But so would have anyone else. If Palpatine had chosen Obi-Wan, or Ahsoka, or Quilan, or Ayla, whatever, then we would have ended with a sith apprentice anyways; with their own particular personality and quirks, of course, and less unhinged perhaps because one of the biggest things in Anakin/Vader's views is that he was a slave and he sees the world in a very particular way, but yeaaaah.
If I must think of how could an evil Padmé would be...I think she would be very methodical and unlike Vader, she wouldn't be submissive to her "master" at all, she would plot against Sheev and harbour lots of hate and very little loyalty to him. She has the mindset of a queen, not a slave. In a way, that would make her more dangerous.
And I think she would ha v e some sort of…possesive views? Like, idk how to explain, kinda like how a queen sees a bestiary? Awesome, scary and cool beast to keep in a nice sanctuary, but they belong to her. I get this idea because of that bit from one of the novels, where she thinks that Anakin is like a vine tiger, dangerous and capable of murdering anyone else "but that runs to put his cheek against her and pur.r"
But like Anakin, then anyone can turn back as well and get away from the manipulation, and a sith Padmé could as well!
aLSO, before anyone says something because I'm starting to know how this fandom works... no, I'm not absolving Anakin of guilt, because victims can become abusers and should be held accountable. However, I am praising how terrifying Palpatine actually is when you think about it, literally any other character could've become what Anakin became had Sheev (or any other groomer, tbh) decided to play the cards that way.
Sorry for the long rambling I thing i sidetracked a lot, I hope at least it's a good answer nkljgndfjkgdfg

‘The Temporary Temple Guards’ by RoosjeM - Not Rated
It was a widely known fact within the Temple, that the Temple Guards stationed at the Coruscant Temple were experiencing a ‘shortage’ at the moment. Seeing as Knights were sent out to complete missions and went on protective details, they were also the Corp that was responsible for the Temple Guards. - “I may have an issue.” “What is it?” The boy was alone. No one else was around despite it being the middle of the night. Just the boy who made a bee-line for Obi-Wan. He was way too young to be out at this time let alone out here all alone. It was the boy’s training armour that tipped Obi-wan off that this was more than just a lost child. “I have a youngling in front of me. There is no one else around and I am pretty sure he’s Mandalorian.” Quinlan paused, then asked, “...Come again?” Obi-Wan peered down at the child tugging at his arm. “Aran, ner echoy'la.” Kriff. “Correction, I have a Mandalorian boy in front of me telling me he’s lost.” - Or it’s Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi’s turn to be a Temporary Temple Guard and of course one of his past missions comes back to haunt him.

No one knows yet how in the Sith hells Obi-Wan managed to sneak up to his quarters before collapsing, either. The fact that he did so on the morning of his own fucking funeral is so theatrical that Vokara may never forgive him.
Or: Obi-Wan rescues himself, gives a Padawan anxiety, and creates problems for Mace and Vokara.
An AU/remix of Night_Fury's if i don't make it back (from where i've gone).
Knights of the Republic by darkstars12 - Rated G
For too many years the Jedi have been mysterious to us. They have been idolized to the point of legend and today we’re here to set the record straight. The Jedi are not some kind of little gods, but rather a beautiful and unique culture that has yet to be explored within modern media. I’m your host Xiaan Pauk and this is Knights of the Republic: Unfiltered.
carried in your heart by grumpyhedgehogs - Rated G
“I am always with you.” Obi-Wan tells her. Her heart thumps painfully in her chest as her grandmaster rests his palm over it. The organ betrays her, beats away like it can crack her ribs apart and slip between them to leap into Obi-Wan’s chest and stay there with him, always. Slowly, tentatively, Ahsoka lets Obi-Wan guide her to rest her own palm over his heart. It pulses under her fingers, reminding Ahsoka at least one Jedi still lives on. “You are always with me.”
Mace's Headache by Siri_Kenobi12 - Rated G
The Jedi Council is shocked after that fateful meeting with Qui-Gon Jinn in TPM, but should they really be surprised that the ‘Maverick’ of the Order would somehow be the epicenter of the prophesied “Chosen One” and the reemergence of the Sith? Should they really be surprised that the Padawan raised by the defiant Dooku would find a loophole in the code in order to get what he wants? That he’d stubbornly stick to his position even if it meant he inadvertently crushed the future of a promising young man in the process? The question plaguing Mace’s mind now is, does he step in to try and fix it? Or does he just leave things alone? Either way Mace Windu already has a headache.

Epistolary Investigations by Knifehawk - Rated T
History is an interesting thing, especially when it involves an organization like the Jedi Order that has records stretching back twenty-five thousand years. One would expect that such an organization would have a relatively clear and accurate understanding of their own history, especially history merely four thousand years in the past, but what happens when a single Jedi, desperately searching for any new knowledge that will quench the ire of his archivist friend, discovers information that calls the entire history, and doctrine, of the Jedi Order into question. Typically, debates would be had, accusations and rumors of heresy and apostacy launched, and the seeker would back down fearing their declaration as "fallen." When that Jedi is Master Yan Dooku, Padawan of Grandmaster Yoda, Jedi Shadow, and close friend of Archivist Jocasta Nu and Seer Syfo-Dias? It turns out that a great many things change. Probably for the best as time is running out, and a Force-gifted confrontation edges closer and closer.

You are a Jedi, and this is what that means.
a stitch in time by ash_in_a_burrito - Rated T
Obi-Wan looked out at his clan of initiates. The Dragon Clan had about ten younglings, all gathered around, looking at him with eager eyes. If he was being honest, he was feeling a little nervous about taking his first class. Quin had told him that it would feel natural, and he’d find it no problem, but Quin had also been practically raising Aayla since she was 4 years old.

Tumblr media
Jedi aren't meant to be close to many people...
Companionship, relationships, any sort of close bonds are frowned upon in The Order.
Suppressing such feelings is necessary for a Jedi to serve.
Ahsoka herself has learned how to do such things.
However... That doesn't mean she doesn't feel complex emotions.
The bond between Jedi and Padawan is a close one, but less distracting than most.
Many view their Padawan's like siblings, or a kid they couldn't have.
Such a bond is similar to how Ahsoka feels with you.
She herself had a close bond with her master, Anakin... before he went to the Dark Side.
While she may not agree with The Order all of the time, she's stuck with them for many missions.
Even right up until The Order fell.
Now, as a Jedi Master, it was only natural for Ahsoka to take a student of her own.
Ahsoka has always wanted to protect people.
She defends people and has given everything to the order.
She has the spirit of a Jedi... always caring and ready to solve problems.
Then The Order deemed her worthy to train you... a young Padawan to call her own.
Ahsoka doesn't expect taking care of a Padawan to be easy.
Jedi training is taxing on the mind and body, yet upon going on a few missions, you're proving to be capable.
You remind Ahsoka of how she was when she was younger.
Now she finally understands how Anakin felt when she was acting reckless and impulsive.
It's easy for Padawans to get carried away.
She'd know such a thing as she was once overly ambitious herself.
Yet she can tell you're not only brave... but loyal too.
Ahsoka had you as her Padawan before Order 66 was executed.
She may even still keep you under her wing after Order 66, wanting to keep you safe.
Ahsoka as your master seems like she'd give off either big sister vibes or mom vibes.
Either way she'd be protective of her Padawan, fully away from the dangers that the Galaxy has to offer.
She wants to teach you to follow your heart yet stay cautious.
She's kind to you yet also isn't afraid to scold you for your mistakes.
Ahsoka may actually be a good master for you.
The one issue I'm seeing?
Her fear.
Fear can poison a Jedi and their motives.
In fact, fear... love... and anger can poison a Jedi.
This is the reason Jedi aren't allowed to have personal connections.
Having a family, a relationship, or even children can be distractions.
If a Jedi can not control their emotions, they become vulnerable to the Dark Side.
Ahsoka's issue towards you would be the fear of losing you.
Especially after Order 66 in this AU.
She's lost many close to her, an unfortunate part of being a Jedi.
She's even lost her own master.
So, really, you'd be all she has as a Jedi master.
You're her student... the family she could never have....
Teaching you becomes increasingly hard due to these feelings.
Each time she sees you do something risky, she tries to be optimistic.
Yet she can't help but think of you getting hurt.
She wonders if The Order chose right...
She wonders... if she really is the right teacher for you.
But then you look at her with eager eyes.
It's such a familiar sight.
When she sees you so bright and determined, despite it all, she smiles.
Yes... Yes they must've chosen right.
They put you in her care.
So... She should take care of you the best she can.
No matter what.
I imagine this AU would also take place after Order 66.
During it, Ahsoka kept you close and defended you against every rogue clone she could.
She isn't sure what she'd do without her Padawan.
She definitely sees you as family, treating you protectively and always observing any who come close.
She is moralistic... but as she learned from Anakin...
Sometimes you have to bend the rules to do the right thing.
Killing people often happens as a Jedi, like it or not.
Ahsoka takes no joy in it... yet she'd do anything to protect you.
Speaking of which, after Order 66 she'd take you with her into hiding.
She can't really teach you when in hiding... as using the Force would get you both detected.
Ahsoka, as your master, would give you both a fake name to hide from the growing Empire.
After Order 66, Ahsoka views you even more as family.
Since she can't teach you to be a Jedi, you two really do end up adopting a familial role.
Be that siblings or mother and child... Ahsoka hates to admit it but she's attached.
She knows such a bond may poison her... yet The Order is no more.
You two may be Jedi at heart, yet nothing is stopping you from having personal connections now.
Ahsoka's biggest fear is losing you.
Be that by death or the Dark Side... both are just as bad.
Such thoughts are what make it hard for Ahsoka to let you mature.
At some points she coddles you, especially when you have to pretend to not be Jedi.
She's worried about letting you out into the world.
It's just... too dangerous right now.
One mistake and you could be hunted.
The thought makes Ahsoka worry more than she should.
In fact, it makes her isolate you.
Naturally you believe her subtle manipulation when she asks you to stay.
You trust her, you know she wouldn't let anyone harm you...
So, if pretending to be farmers is what you have to do, you'll do it.
Ahsoka cherishes the trust you hold for her.
Which is why she feels bad when she abuses it.
Ahsoka is mostly just... protective.
She wants a life where she'll always have you, and a quiet one away from the Empire happens to be on her mind.
Although, eventually, you'll want to leave her side.
Padawans naturally have to leave their masters at some point.
They deserve to be independent... and Ahsoka knows that...
But things have changed.
When you tell Ahsoka you wish to leave, to make a life of your own... she hesitates.
N-No... No, you really shouldn't.
She hates to say it, really does... but it isn't safe.
What if you get caught?
What if the Empire executes you after realizing you're a Jedi or... Force sensitive at the very least.
Or... what if they choose to use you as a weapon against her?
Ahsoka would try to convince you into staying with her.
All you need is each other... you've been through so much already...
Why don't you sit back and stay with her?
You can have a quiet life!
She understands you crave action... that you want to join the Rebellion...
She was once a similar way in her youth.
Yet, she may even Jedi mind trick you in an attempt to keep you safe.
Ahsoka keeps telling herself she's just... bending the rules.
What she's doing isn't wrong.
Keeping you in hiding at a farm isn't wrong.
Convincing forcing you to stay isn't wrong, either....
She's protecting you.
Cutting someone who knows your secrets down isn't bad either.
They were a threat to you
Tricking you is... underhanded but...
You need her.
Ahsoka looks after you because you're all she has now.
Many of her friends are gone, her master is gone, The Order is gone...
It's just you and her... alone in a galaxy that wants you dead...
However, Ahsoka will always protect you no matter the cost, you're all she has and she plans to keep you all to herself... under her protection... safe and sound.

Friend!! How about Rex/Anakin with “destination”?
hi len!!! i'm sorry this is weird and cryptic and mostly just rex thinking
revenge of the sith au; kind of established relationship.
---
Anakin is always so happy to see him.
Rex stops the bike and climbs down, his back yelling at him all the while. His former general is watching him from the door, arms crossed and shoulder against the doorframe. His hair is longer than the last time they saw each other, and it must be a good day, because Rex can’t find the cane anywhere, and the brace on his left leg isn’t missing any obvious pieces. Anakin Skywalker treats his body as an unending work in progress: he tinkers and obsesses over its parts, new and old, and it’s partly out of frustration, partly out of genuine interest, and Rex has learned to tell the way the wind blows by the way they look.
It’s harder than he once thought, reading him. He used to think of him as—loud, obvious. In your face. And he is, and he very much isn’t, at the same time.
Tatooine’s harsh midday light has its own weight. Rex tugs higher the cloth around his neck and starts pushing the vehicle towards the shady back of the small house, where the hangar is. Anakin watches him, blue eyes darker in the shadow of the house, and after a beat he comes out to help. He smells like dust and sweat, like everything else does, and between the two of them they make short work of the whole thing: while Rex’s securing the vehicle to the ground, Anakin’s tugging the tarp in place, dancing around each other with the ease of familiarity.
This is still easy. When they’re quiet like this Rex can let himself believe that the past two years never happened.
Afterwards, they walk into the house. It’s deep under the ground, dark and almost cold: Anakin told him once he still remembered his mother’s teachings, and then he fell quiet and disappeared into the cellar and Rex did not see him again before he left.
Anakin’s hovering. He watches Rex while Rex starts shedding off layers by the door, sand pooling around his boots. He can see the way Rex limps, the grimace of pain when he jostles the blaster burn on his left arm. He wants to touch, but he has learned to wait.
He’s lonely there. He enjoys the solitude but the loneliness eats at him from the inside out. Rex is the only one who seeks him out, the one who visits with food and books and news of the galaxy. He has made a rule for himself: Anakin is never the goal: Rex only lands on Tatooine when he’s on the way to somewhere else.
And the thing is: Anakin could leave. He’s clever, he’s resourceful: he could build himself a thousand ways out. The fact he doesn’t, the fact that he chooses to stay, and that he has chosen to be alone—well. It might be the only reason he’s still alive.
Rex doesn’t know how or what happened, not exactly: he did not ask, and no one has told him. But he saw the recordings, he talked to some of the survivors of the attack on the Jedi Temple. He’s met Kenobi as he is now, and he was there when Ahsoka had her heart broken.
He doesn’t think he has forgiven Anakin Skywalker: he doesn’t think he can. But he still visits, and he still allows himself to touch and be touched in turn, and sometimes, when it’s been a few months and it’s deep into the night and he’s alone on his cot, Rex finds himself missing him, missing this: the house in the desert and the mess and the dark and the feel of cool synthflesh fingers walking down his spine.
Anakin watches him, quiet and still. He’s lost weight, and he feels huge, overbearing. Too tall, his shadow too deep against the whitewashed walls. The weight of his attention is a special kind of smothering.
Rex places his boots against the wall, side by side, and steps into his orbit, eyes closed, heart beating hard and fast inside his chest.

I have had this AU idea and since Ahsoka (2023) has come out and the DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is coming out soon, I thought it would be the perfect time to talk about how I want to throw a freshly traumatized, post-Wrong Jedi Ahsoka Tano into the role of the Pokémon Legends Arceus protagonist!
This was inspired by a few things:
@thehappiestgolucky's A Moth in Hisui au, where they threw Markoth from Hollow Knight (another fandom I love) into the role of the protagonist of Pokémon Legends Arceus (you can clearly see how this inspired this). Please check out this AU and their other stuff over at their blog, where they also talk about stuff like Splatoon, Monster Hunter, Rain World, and more!
@webtrinsic1122's Star Wars X Pokémon one-shot, "I Know It's My Destiny," where she specifically had Ahsoka go on a Pokémon journey and I-I just loved it so much because it literally had all I needed (Pokémon and Ahsoka having a happy found family in Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Rex). Please go check out her stuff if you love Star Wars, especially Rebels!
And a ton of Pokémon X Star Wars art that I Google Imaged!
This AU idea has been tumbling around in my brain for months now and since the stars have aligned in a way in which something Star Wars related and Pokémon related are happening in a pretty close timeframe, I thought it would be the perfect time to get it out in the open!
I wanted to make this story for a couple of reasons. The main one being that I just want to give Ahsoka a support network filled with incredibly protective magical monsters that can kick ass while looking fantabulous. The other reason is that I also want Ahsoka to then return to the galaxy with her team of Pokémon and just absolutely wreck Palpatine's shop with their power of friendship and actual power.
Here is some main story points that I've thought up so far, as well as some ideas I have for the story. However, I do have to warn you all that it has been an incredibly long time since I've last seen a full episode of Clone Wars (I really am hoping to somehow rewatch them soon, college is just a time-sucking birch), and most of these points are based off of my vague memories of how the episodes went down, the plot summary/descriptions of episodes that I have/will read, and all the fanfics I've read (because fanfics let me live in happy denial of all the horrible things that have happened to my favorite characters :) ) so if there's anything I might be contradicting or forgetting, let me know:
Ahsoka is brought to the Pokémon World/Hisui almost immediately after she walks away from the Jedi Order.
The reason Ahsoka gets chosen for Hisui is because Morai/the Daughter recommended her to Arceus, stating how it would be "the most beneficial to everyone involved".
Since this is going to be a fix-it, I'm going to fix as much as I can so, of course, Fives is going to live!!!!!!! Right before he gets shot by the Coruscant Guard, a Space-Time Distortion swallows him up and drops him right into Hisui.
*The problem with that is I don't know when he should get dropped off, but I'm leaning more toward right after Ahsoka closes the giant Space-Time rift over Mt. Coronet.*
*There are two ideas I have about where exactly the Pokémon World is. Option 1: It is in its own far, far away galaxy. Option 2 (And one that I feel could be a little bit more interesting): It is actually in the same galaxy that Star Wars takes place in, but it is not only hidden deep within the Unknown Regions but also by Arceus themself to protect both the Pokémon and the people of the galaxy*
*I'm debating on whether to keep Ahsoka as her normal togruta self or have Arceus temporarily turn Ahsoka human to help her blend in better with the people of Hisui (well, blend in as best you can after suddenly falling out of the sky one day).*
*On the one hand, people are obviously going to be even more weirded out and wary of her, but it would make when they start trusting her (after doing a bunch of sidequests) all the more potent as they are looking past her alien attributes and instead are focusing on her personality and traits and trusting her on who she is and moving past what she is.*
*On the other hand, Ahsoka now has to deal with suddenly being a human which includes finally realizing what a hassle hair is, being able to experience a wider array of food now that she's an omnivore and not a carnivore, and the growing fear of what will happen if she ever reveals that she's actually an alien and how that could potentially destroy all the trust they have in her.*
*Also debating on whether Ahsoka should keep her Force abilities (but, obviously, needing to keep them hidden from the very isolated people who don't even know what the Force is) or have Arceus put a sort of block or limiter (for the same reasons that she needs to be hidden) that could gradually weaken as Ahsoka continues her journey.*
I have more ideas (most of them being more suggestions and possibilities than actual ideas) but that's all I think I should mention for now. This post is already really long, so I think I might actually stop it here for now.
But in the next post for "Hisuian Jedi" (that's the best name I could come up with for this AU so that it'll be easier to find, if you have better ideas for names, please let me know), I'll talk about my most favorite part of any crossover with Pokémon!

I started thinking about Grim during the Mortis Arc and anyways:
Grim never gets possessed by the dark side like Anakin or Ahsoka but he is able to touch her. Much like how Grim is constantly struggling with the dark side but always ultimately chooses the light
Throughout the majority of the arc except for when Anakin has turned to the dark side Grim is always with him. When Anakin gets split up from Obi-Wan and Ahsoka, Grim goes with him. Anakin leads the way and Grim follows him. Splitting up from him only when he's doing his trial, and joins the dark side. Much like how Grim is always following along in Anakin's footsteps whether she realizes it or not. Except when Anakin joins the dark side. Then Grim sets on her own path.
Every single one of the Ones. The Daughter, The Father, and The Son all connect Grim to Anakin.
The Daughter:
"The both of you are in great danger," she said.
Grim was surprised at that, "both?" she asked. "What could I have to do with anything?"
Daughter looked at her, "nothing and everything," she replied.
The Father:
"What about me is so important?" Grim asked Father. "What about me is powerful that everyone here keeps saying it as if I hold as much importance as Skywalker, 'the chosen one'? And why does it matter now, now that Ahsoka…." She let out a sob, unable to finish her question.
Ahsoka was dead.
"You haven't figured it out?" Father asked her. "You upset every balance there is, you can either destroy everything or heal it. Yet it does not matter, I was the one who doomed this universe. There is no hope."
The Son:
Fury filled Son and he grabbed Grim by her neck, and lifted her up to his face. "You have made a horrible mistake, child. You should've joined me, you're so similar to Skywalker, I almost thought you would. Disappointing."
This all works because Grim's story is connected to Anakin's. Also you know it's bad when the God of the dark side is commenting on the parallels. Get help Grim.
Also in the end of the chapter this is a thing referring to how The Father sees Grim and Anakin
He looked at the two Jedi.
Both who could determine everything. Destroy worlds or heal them. Stop the Sith or become one. Save lives or end them
Because Grim has connected her story to Anakin both of them can determine everything.
Destroy worlds, Anakin, because of what he does as Vader
Or heal them, Grim because after the fall of the Empire she works to rebuild both the Republic and the Jedi Order (we're ignoring how canon is treating the New Republic because Grim would not allow that even if she is focusing on the New Jedi Order 😌)
Stop the Sith, belongs to both. Vader ultimately returns as Anakin and defeats Sidious. Grim can never defeat the Sith, but she trains Luke and guides him to lead Anakin to do so.
Or become one. This speaks for itself.
Save lives, this mainly refers to Grim, although she ultimately fails to stop Order 66, and there are other lives she fails to save she does save many lives. And I am playing with the concept of the TCWGANV universe being a Bail lives AU because she warns him about the Death Star in As Long As There's Light 👀
Or end them. Again this speaks for itself.
Also Grim is the only one on Mortis to not have a vision. While Anakin sees his mother (although it was The Son messing with him), Obi-Wan sees Qui-Gon, and Ahsoka has a vision of her future self Grim never sleeps on Mortis and never has a vision for herself. Because she's not from Star Wars, throughout this whole chapter she's reminded of how much she doesn't belong. Grim's story is the unknown variable. That's why The Father doesn't like her. That's why she upsets every balance there is. There is no future to sense for her. There are no paths that can be detected. She isn't from the story. While no future is surely set there are multiple paths. Something that is brought up in this chapter.
Father looked at the girl, who still managed to have so much hope. "Destiny may not be certain, child. But there is a path that has its ending set, and I fear you may walk down it."
"But the ending doesn't have to be a tragedy," Grim replied.
When The Father says this he's talking about the ending that does come to be true. But he doesn't see Grim's story in it. "You may walk down it" is only because of how her story is so strongly connected to Anakin's and both of them are heading down that path. Nobody knows Grim's story. Her story is unknown to everyone.
Anyways I was having thoughts sorry for the essay lol
Oh dang I missed this. This slaps

Indeed, all these fanfic(usually on AO3, ff.net funnily enough doesn't have much of them) have the same recycled tropes:
Palpatine dies no thanks to Anakin (usually because of a disgrunted Clone). This is not something I necessarily have a problem with, there are some fun little star wars what-ifs on youtube where Anakin isn't involved in whatever killed Palpatine in said video or even "just waited in the council chambers", and I have always viewed the "Chosen One" prophecy as placing more burden on Anakin and viewed that prophecy in the context of the Prequels as somewhat of a deconstruction of the ultimate heroic prophecy and what trying to push through it can do to peoples' minds, even through it was still fulfilled in the end, and for a reincarnation AU I am planning, I am genuinely planning on Padme delivering the final blow to Palps reincarnation
Anakin reacts with actual disgust to Palpatine dying and can't even accept the fact that he was an evil Sith Lord driving the Republic to fascism all along, he remains an possessive asshole forever, and Padme is just "there", becoming a hyper-flanderized version of how fans perceive her as more focused on whitewashing red flags than as her own person. Like I acknowledge that Anakin might be in shock and denial given how much he was groomed here, but I do think eventually he would be pushed to come to terms, but in these fanfic he never does
They have Luke and Leia and treat them like shit despite the fact that it's very OOC for both of them, like not even Clovis arc went that far and a case can be made that the Clovis arc did have some genuine points to talk about but Filoni really botched the execution.
Eventually the marriage falls apart in a matter of weeks, it gets exposed, political scandal that disgraces Padme and ensures she never rises to elected office again, Padme loses Bail as a friend, Anakin and Padme are thrown in jail over Tatooine while the kids are taken to the temple. Also Obi-Wan reacts with disgust to the secret being out when the ROTS novelization and a deleted line makes it clear that he let it slide because it made Anakin happy. Oh and Ahsoka becomes Obi-Wan's new Padawan. In fact a case could be made that part of the tragedy was that Anakin never trusted Obi-Wan and Ahsoka with his secret and that relationship did not have an external support structure
No one actually tries to reach out to Anakin except bare minimum "dude you're wrong", not even psychological analysis or even "them making trying to reach out to Anakin but he rejects help"
The author's views on Jedi are framed in a very "rubitinyourface" way
Overall like this all feels like low effort revenge porn against Anakin and Padme, whom are flanderized into their worst selves. Like sure what Anakin did on Tatooine was extremely horrible, but the point of his redemption was always "you can't change the horrors of the past, but you can always start doing good" and nowhere is that angle explored when that's a good plot point to explore in a fanfic where he got over his darker tendencies earlier.
Also that section of the fanbase loves to focus on Anakin's culpability in his choices, but all they do is reduce him to a unironic mental psychopath with a literal genetic predisposition to fascism and violence.
Anakin and Padme being asshole parents no matter what in fanfic where Anakin didn’t turn evil/fascist are my new most DESPISED SW fanfic trope
Like while Anakin has enough mental issues and posessiveness and will need a lot of time to heal, and it could potentially affect the sort of parent he’d be it frankly gets more unnerving if you think about the fact that all this trope pushes is the ableist crap that “some people are too mentally deranged to even be a parent”.
Would there be difficulties, sure, but this only shows the fragility of Anakin’s mental state over some inherent fascism/psycopathy gene/impulse that Jedi uncrits tend to depict it as.

Sometimes I cannot believe how much I appreciate the Obikin fandom and how much it’s spoiled me for giving me ridiculously charming fic, incredibly funny and hilarious fic, fic that breaks my heart, fic that heals my heart, fic that makes me want to gnaw on my own arm because I’m in awe of how amazing the authors are, how much a fic can smack my id straight on, how I can roll around in the fluff or wallow in the angst, how the fic runs the gamut of Obi-Wan and Anakin’s lifetimes, whether set during the Clone Wars or during the time of the Rebellion, whether it’s something nice or whether it’s Anakin being all Vadery and awful, there’s always someone writing something that makes me want to barf up rainbows for how good it is. So here’s a bunch of STAR WARS fics I think everyone should read because the fandom is amazing and there’s very few things I enjoy more than the feeling of being sated on a bunch of good fic. Or lots of quality banging. Or crying about these two idiots having terrible lives. Or just crying about feelings in general because you guys are amazing at punching me right in them. WHAT KIND OF FIC YOU’LL FIND HERE:
CANON-COMPLIANT (-ISH, WHATEVER) AT LEAST UP UNTIL THE GALAXY GOES PEAR-SHAPED
FUCK THE NOISE OUT OF ANAKIN SKYWALKER'S HEAD
DARTH ASSHOLE CAT SHOULD BE GRABBED BY THE SCRUFF OF THE NECK AND SCOLDED BACK TO THE LIGHT
FUCK YOU, CANON, THINGS GO A LITTLE NICER IN THIS UNIVERSE

MODERN AUS CAN BE FUN AND CHARMING AS HELL AND A GREAT CHANCE TO MAP CANON DYNAMICS ONTO A WORLD WHERE THEY CAN HAVE A HAPPIER LIFE, IT'S A WIN ALL THE WAY AROUND
WHAT DID CANON EVER DO BUT BREAK OUR HEARTS ANYWAY? TIME TO TELL CANON TO FUCK OFF AND WRITE AN AU
OBIKIN RECS - CANON-COMPLIANT (-ISH, WHATEVER) AT LEAST UP UNTIL THE GALAXY GOES PEAR-SHAPED: ✦ Lonely Hearts Club by izazov, obi-wan/anakin, nsfw, 7.4k    There are some things not even Chosen One can fix. Anakin learns this the hard way after a mission goes wrong. ✦ To be remembered by ToolMusicLover, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, 16.3k    Various moments in Obi-Wan’s life, from his time as Anakin’s Master to the first nine years he spent on Tatooine. ✦ Out of the Bag by RagnarLothcat, obi-wan/anakin, nsfw, 8.1k    Obi-Wan has made his peace with his inappropriate feelings for his former Padawan. He knows there’s no room in their relationship for romance, and he’s used to denying himself for the greater good. He has everything under control: until Anakin comes back from a mission looking and acting a little different, and suddenly the relationship between Master and Padawan becomes a little fuzzy. ✦ every kind of love by loosingletters, obi-wan/anakin & ahsoka & qui-gon & cast, 2.7k wip    Thousands of years pass and change is inevitable, even for the Jedi Order. Different groups break off, form new traditions, but in the end, they are all Jedi. And when the war comes, they fight for peace. ✦ of talks and romantic gestures by izazov, obi-wan/anakin, 3.8k    Obi-Wan just wanted to arrive back to Coruscant on time. Anakin had other ideas. ✦ nor the suns fall by treescape, obi-wan/anakin, 1.4k    “Hey,” Anakin says sharply—too sharply, he knows, and with a restless edge of fear. Obi-Wan’s eyes are blown so wide they’re hardly recognizable, barely a shadow of blue. They’re sliding closed again, the arc of his lashes too slow to be just a blink. Anakin takes a firm hold on his own voice, pitches it just keen enough to anchor beneath the blazing, barren sky. “Hey, stay with me, Obi-Wan.” ✦ wanting was enough by y0u_idjits, anakin/padme (& obi-wan/anakin), 1k    A reporter asks another question but she doesn’t listen, too busy noticing how Anakin’s smile goes softer, sweeter, as Obi-Wan answers, and she becomes aware that he has never once smiled at her like that. No, this is a smile reserved only for Obi-Wan Kenobi. The realisation burns her to her core. ✦ illicit affairs by Urgirl415, obi-wan/anakin (& anakin/padme), NSFW, 2.2k    Anakin needs something that Obi-Wan is more than willing to provide. Even if it means having his doorbell rung in the middle of the night. Or, Anakin cheats on Padme with Obi-Wan. Regularly. OBIKIN RECS - FUCK THE NOISE OUT OF ANAKIN SKYWALKER’S HEAD: ✦ Satellite Mind by intermundia, septemberist, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, 19.3k    Five times Obi-Wan heard Anakin’s thoughts, and one time Anakin heard Obi-Wan’s. ✦ He’s Bringing Sweet Salvation by Is0lde, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, some d/s, 5.1k    Anakin has been naughty and learns a little about patience, consideration and what we deserve ✦ eat, sleep, wake (nothing but you) by decideophobia, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, 6.7k    Obi-Wan twists his fingers inside him, pressing, pressing, and Anakin jolts with pleasure the exact same moment when an entirely different kind of noise rips through the room. A stomach growling. His stomach growling. Aggressively. ✦ Pretty Please by Gwendolyn (storiesofchaos), obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, d/s, 8.7k    And with Obi-Wan’s words, Obi-Wan’s mouth on sensitive skin, and the way his hand presses Anakin possessively against his body, it’s all too easy for Anakin to slip up again. All too easy for him to throw his head back as his eyes fall shut and moan out, “Daddy.” ✦ coming quietly undone by MisanthropyMuse, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, 7.6k    “So, now’s later?” asks Anakin softly, one corner of his lips curling in amusement at the incoherent sentence that can only make sense for the two of them. “Force, yes,” responds Obi-Wan in a heavy sigh of relief, before raising his head and crashing his lips onto Anakin’s. ✦ hands-on by treescape, 3.6k    Anakin’s been driving Obi-Wan mad. Obi-Wan does something about it. ✦ One’s Craze by ToolMusicLover, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, 17k    As Obi-Wan learns the extent of Anakin’s greatest desires perhaps he’ll also learn his own. ✦ turn softness to rage, then tears to rain by starwarsyndrome (I_write_fanfiction_sometimes), obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, 5k    Anakin Skywalker is the force made flesh, and sometimes that tears him apart at the seams. Obi-Wan has always been able to hold him together. How he does it changes as the years do ✦ Be Mindful of Your Thoughts (And Words) by des_nuages_de_paris, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, 7k    On a routine ship voyage across the stars, Anakin starts to get a bit bratty. Obi-wan decides to entertain him - and put him in his place. ✦ Baby Teeth by stardies, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, a/b/o, 8.2k wip    During a mission, Anakin runs out of suppressants. Obi-wan Kenobi is called in to tend to his former padawan. ✦ hang it off my shoulders by transkenobi, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, 7.4k    Obi-Wan looks at him a moment, a frown flickering over his features but his eyes are unbearably soft. “I could leave. Or…” he swallows, averting his gaze for just a moment before he meets Anakin’s eyes again with a quiet resolution that Anakin recognizes all too well. “Dance with me.” Every irritated thought and rebuke comes to a halt and Anakin opens his mouth, brows knitting, completely thrown off. Of everything he’d been expecting Obi-Wan to say, it wasn’t that. What? “What?” ✦ a lesson learned is a lesson earned by RexIsMyCopilot, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, d/s, 4k    Anakin refuses to talk and Obi-Wan coaxes it out of him. OR Anakin learns a lesson and Obi-Wan learns one too. ✦ PARK THAT BIG MAC TRUCK RIGHT IN THIS LIL GARAGE by badut, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, 4k    Anakin Skywalker loves dick, but he loves big dicks even more. Specifically Obi-Wan’s. This has now become a problem, but it all works out, eventually. ✦ touch of heaven with a wild side by demi_fae, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, 1.3k    “That was one of the things we were able to figure out while you were…” Anakin gestured to Obi-Wan who nodded for him to continue. “You would have to ask Kix about the specifics, but it’s some sort of combination reproductive and defense feature, and at this point it’s basically orgasm or…” Obi-Wan choked back a laugh. “Or death?” He asked, expecting Anakin to laugh with him. The silence that met him told him more than anything Anakin could have possibly said. “Oh.” “Yeah.” ✦ Pretty Kitty by GayCheerios, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, d/s, 2.2k    “Master, you always take such good care of me,” Anakin says, a little chirp coming after his sentence, as his thumb rests on Anakin’s plump bottom lip. ✦ to seek something is to believe in its possibility by RexIsMyCopilot, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, d/s, 2.6k    Anakin teases Obi-Wan to get what he wants. Spoiler alert: it works. ✦ Punished Hole by WhyIsBubbleGumBlue, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, d/s, 1k    Anakin gets smacks on his bottom hole, and then they fuck. ✦ Taking Care by RagnarLothcat, obi-wan/anakin & quinlan, NSFW, 8.5k wip    A night out with Quinlan should be just the thing to help Obi-Wan relax after the outbreak of the war and all that entails. Anakin, as always, is there to make things difficult. OBIKIN RECS - DARTH ASSHOLE CAT SHOULD BE GRABBED BY THE SCRUFF OF THE NECK AND SCOLDED BACK TO THE LIGHT: ✦ flash point by treescape, obi-wan/vader, nsfw, 2.8k    After capturing Obi-Wan on Mustafar, Vader does the only thing he can think of to keep his former Master close: he freezes Obi-Wan in carbonite. Every so often, he can’t resist the temptation of seeing Obi-Wan again and brings him out. ✦ this too shall pass by Himboskywalker, obi-wan/vader & cast, NSFW, time loop, read the warnings, 5k wip    Anakin falls to the dark side and takes up the mantle of Darth Vader, butchers Jedi, betrays all he knows and loves, and he is left to burn on Mustafar by the man he once called master.Anakin becomes Darth Vader-and then he wakes up and lives it again-and then he wakes up and lives it again-and again-and again-and again. ✦ game plan by treescape, obi-wan/vader, NSFW, raised a sith!anakin, 11.2k    Or, Vader keeps capturing Obi-Wan during the Wars. Obi-Wan keeps escaping. It’s kind of a thing. ✦ Coming back and going forward by Enthusiastic_Enthusiast, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, read the warnings, d/s, 5.5k    Lord Vader has finally found a way to send his mind back in time. He is young and healthy again, and can’t wait to get his revenge on Obi-Wan, to make him pay for his betrayl, to push him down and make him pay. This time when the republic falls, Obi-Wan will witness it first hand, on his knees by Vaders side. The only problem? Vader isn’t the only one to return. ✦ Electric Love by thedeadparrot, obi-wan/vader, nsfw, 3.4k    Vader stepped forward, deeper into the cell, and reached out one hand. It pressed against Obi-Wan’s tunic, clean metal meeting dirty fabric. Vader’s suit only had the most rudimentary of sensors – he preferred to use the Force over his physical hands. But this was Obi-Wan Kenobi offered up for him, and nothing less than physical touch would do. OBIKIN RECS - FUCK YOU, CANON, THINGS GO A LITTLE NICER IN THIS UNIVERSE: ✦ After everything, only us by ToolMusicLover, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, 9.2k    Eight years after the Clone War came to an end and Sidious was captured, Anakin and Obi-Wan spend an evening together. Distance and circumstance have separated them for too long, but on this night, Anakin ends up with more than he could have hoped for. ✦ After the Storm by Ripki, obi-wan/anakin & luke & leia, 7.3k    If asked a year ago where he would be in the future, Obi-Wan would never have imagined himself in the middle of nowhere, mending socks and discussing latrine maintenance. ✦ The strongest stars… by Tomicaleto, obi-wan/anakin & beru & cast, 7.4k    The war’s end seems to be close, with everyone looking forward to it. And when Anakin is doubting himself the most, an unexpected visit arrives at the Temple. ✦ Homestead by JSwander, whohatessand, obi-wan/anakin & luke & leia & cast, NSFW, 46.2k    After their failed altercation on Mustafar, Obi-Wan Kenobi secretly stows away with his former Padawan now turned Sith Lord and traitor to the Republic. ✦ O Trespass Sweetly Urged by Artemis_Unbound, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, 8.6k    Anakin and Obi-Wan witness a sex ritual while on a mission. Obi-Wan doesn’t understand why Anakin is so scandalized by this, until Anakin admits that he’s never had sex. Obi-Wan…might need a minute to process that. ✦ climb like peas and beans by septemberist, obi-wan/anakin, trans!anakin, 4.9k wip    Anakin Skywalker is different in a way that he can’t quite name, until he can. Obi-Wan Kenobi never fails to see his apprentice for who he is. And everything changes. ✦ sun of my right hand by loosingletters, obi-wan/anakin & luke, 4.3k wip    What remains, keep it close. AU where Reva ends up wandering around the galaxy for a while after the events of the show and ends up accidentally getting taken in by a motley crew made up of a bunch of people who don’t have a home left to go to for one reason or another and are used to taking in misfits with a dark past and secrets to keep.
The Ghost Crew knows Reva’s force sensitive, but Kanan doesn’t recognize her as a Jedi youngling and none of them face Inquisitors until long after she’s left, so they don’t completely understand who and what she is.
She’s never gotten another lightsaber after she left her red one back in the sands of Tatooine, but Kanan and Ezra invite her along when they go to the Lothal Temple and Reva’s SO CERTAIN she’s going to be rejected by the Temple because of her past, but she isn’t.
Reva having her own vision in the Temple to help her come to terms with herself, maybe speaking to Yoda and getting his wisdom again for the first time in 15 years. Reva coming out of that Temple with a crystal of her own, just like Ezra. Because she never got to go on her Gathering expedition, she’d been just a little too young, set to go within the next few months when Order 66 happens. She never got to prove herself a Jedi and face her fears. It’s yellow, the color of a protector, a guard.
Reva not really knowing how to react to Ahsoka, Anakin’s Padawan, yet ANOTHER connection to someone she’s trying to forget and leave behind. It’s not Ahsoka’s fault, she knows that, any more than it was Obi-Wan’s, but she was TRAINED by him, so she’s always just a little wary around her just in case something rubbed off on her. She’d left the Jedi, after all. Reva didn’t totally know the details of what had happened to Ahsoka, but she remembered that Ahsoka had chosen not to come back to them. It had been all the younglings could talk about for a while.
Reva being the first to go out and search for the Force Sensitive kids because she won’t fail any more of them the way she had been failed. She won’t let any more die if she can help it.
The Ghost Crew listening as Reva explains who she was, that she’d been a survivor of the Temple Massacre, that she’d joined the Inquisitors to try to take down Vader, that she’d failed and nearly fallen but made the choice not to be like him in the end. She leaves out the things Obi-Wan had asked her to leave out, for his own safety and for Luke’s, even though a part of her wants Kanan to know, to know there’s another Master out there, she knows how difficult it was for him to agree to train Ezra, how hard he searched for a more qualified teacher and how much he would love to have a teacher to lean on the way he SHOULD’VE had. But she won’t betray Obi-Wan’s confidence again, she won’t put Luke in danger again. And the Ghost Crew chooses to understand, to accept that she made mistakes, and that she’s long made amends for them. They know who she is NOW, and that’s enough.
Reva training with Kanan and Ezra, neither Kanan NOR Reva having received completed training, but doing their best to try to figure it out on their own, together. Reva bonding a lot with Chopper which everyone finds a little terrifying. Reva learning from Sabine that a good creative piece of art can be just as satisfying as blowing up an Imperial factory, and reconnecting with that piece of her past as a Jedi. Reva learning how to loosen up and play games with Ezra and Zeb, learning how to just PLAY again. Reva learning to be something of an older sister figure on the ship, probably one of the more responsible ones Hera learns to trust to send out on errands because she’s the least likely to get completely distracted and the most likely to keep some of the more rowdy of the crew in line if they DO get distracted.
Reva joining the mission to Malachor and facing her worst fears, the worst of her past, and refusing to fall a second time, refusing to be baited by the Inquisitors or by Anakin. Reva helping out Ahsoka when she goes up against Anakin because she’s a lot better now than she used to be the last time she tried this and this time she isn’t alone. Reva getting Ahsoka OUT OF THERE when that Temple starts to go down, refusing to let Ahsoka die for someone who wouldn’t do the same for her.
Reva and Ahsoka having to have a LONG talk afterwards about how Reva knew and hadn’t told Ahsoka. How Reva had known from the way Ahsoka spoke about Anakin that telling her the truth would’ve just brought her pain and it wouldn’t really have changed anything. Ahsoka still isn’t happy Reva dragged her away from Anakin in that temple, but Reva refuses to apologize for it. The Rebellion needs Ahsoka more than Vader does, they can’t afford to lose her because she got overly sentimental, because she was too attached. Reva reminds Ahsoka that that’s exactly what led her Master to what he’s become now and she should make sure not to follow him down that path, lest she become just yet another monster in the Empire’s line-up they had to defeat.
Reva and Kanan overcoming the way they feel about the clones, striking up friendships with Rex and Wolffe and Gregor. Reva protecting Gregor in that last battle on Lothal because when she was a youngling, she’d known about the clones, she’d known it was a Jedi’s duty to protect them, and she’d been awaiting the day she was allowed to go out into the field as someone’s Padawan and help.
Reva following Ezra to Tatooine, because she knows what he’s going to find out there and she CAN’T fail Luke or Obi-Wan again, it’s her duty to stop him before he goes too far. Besides, it’s an obvious trap being laid by Maul and Ezra is a youngling, she swore not to let any more Jedi younglings die if it was within her power to do so. She doesn’t quite manage to find Ezra before Obi-Wan does, but she arrives around the same time as Maul, who doesn’t even realize she’s there so she’s able to sneak up behind him and stab him through the heart before he does any more damage to her remaining family. She makes sure to remove his head for good measure, just in case. She and Ezra have to have a long talk later about the fact that she never told him he was RIGHT about Obi-Wan being alive.
Reva and Ahsoka now being able to accompany the group that goes to Lothal and things going a little better there with two extra Jedi around. Kanan gets to survive, but Ezra still disappears. But Reva realized what he was up to and had followed him onto Thrawn’s ship, so he’s not alone with Thrawn when it goes into hyperspace.
Reva getting incorporated into this rag tag family of people who’d lost their homes, lost their families, had their own dark secret pasts to face and overcome. Reva getting a new family after the loss of her last one, learning to love again. The Ghost Crew aren’t the Jedi, the Ghost is not the Jedi Temple, but that’s okay.

I refuse to believe Anakin was EVER that good with kids and so in an AU where Rex finds out Anakin is Vader before Kanan dies, I'd love for Kanan and Rex to have a long-running bit where they just tell stories about their worst memories of Anakin.
Kanan: One time he was assigned to help my initiate class with saber work and he told me I'd probably never get chosen by a Master due to how much I was struggling with the form.
Rex: One time he threw me off a wall that was actually a 1000 foot tall fortress without warning me.
Kanan: He regularly pulled pranks on the initiates that made us late for class and then when we tried to call him out on it, he'd never own up to it, so we'd just get in trouble.
Rex: He regularly asked me to stand in for him during meetings with the Chancellor or the Jedi Council so he could go off and fuck his secret wife instead of doing his actual job and I was required to lie to authorities on his behalf about why he wasn't there.
Kanan: One time he was supposed to be taking a group of initiates to Ilum to get our lightsaber crystals and I was the last one out but he forgot about me and started leaving with everybody else, literally got them all on the ship and started lifting off, before I came back out of the cave. He only stopped because the other kids realized I wasn't out yet and made him land again.
Rex: One time he ordered me and some of our men to take part in a test for Ahsoka where we were supposed to surround her in a circle and shoot stun bolts at her until one of them hit her and she dropped unconscious for an hour and we weren't allowed to help her or check her over or make sure she was medically okay and we had to do this over and over.

Intervention AU
Roll out the carpet, it's another one lads and buckle up because this ones long. I've had several mini AUs that I've kind of just compiled all into one but I just really want to explore a narrative where Anakin gets a chance to sort his shit out and work towards fixing his issues. Because man do I love untangling characters inner conflict and having them get help so that they can overcome their own hurdles. An Intervention AU, if you will, before he truly flips his lid.
First, the concept that Anakin Skywalker is not entirely human - he's half Force - is fascinating. Because yeah, with the confirmation that he is the Chosen One, plus the Mortis Arc, it seems obvious that the Force made him. It borrowed a likeness from Shmi and then filled in the gaps (so he's technically a clone of his mother with some Force poked mutations here and there - I’ve read fics along those lines and they are top tier imho). But the Force is well, a cosmic power and can't really integrate into a human body all too well. The human half just wants to belong and be loved and to love. The Force half does not know how to express such messy human emotions in a way that doesn't resemble a flood.
But a flood can be managed when it's diverted into many rivers and streams, rather than being solely focused through only a few. To be clear, this is not a ‘attachments are fine actually’ take, this is a ‘get more friends so you loosen your grip on the ones you currently have’ angle. He learns to let go of the few people he loves because he has so many other people in his life to turn to. He will never be truly alone or abandoned, which is his fear ultimately, and they in turn help him realise that the only person who can convince him that he is enough is himself. Basically, dear god get it through Anakin's thick skull that the Jedi are communally raised so they spread their affections over multiple people and yes that is allowed. He’s just more used to a nuclear family model because thats all he had growing up. Him and his mother.
Love doesn't just have to be romantic and having a wider support network would also mean that Palpatine can no longer keep Anakin isolated. His grip on the Chosen One lessens as he finds other people to trust and confide in. It would also mean more eyes and ears to notice when he suddenly has a 180 in attitude after speaking with the Chancellor.
Also him being half-force I want to play with the idea that 'let your feelings pass through you’ doesn’t really work when he feels so much. All amplified by his Force connection. He can’t just let them go, so he has to work on the source of those feeling of inadequecy and ‘never having enough’ to make sure they don’t spawn in the first place.
This all started after watching TCW Clovis Arc 2.0 where Anakin’s possessiveness goes up from like a 5 to a 10 in one episode and I couldn’t help but think that it was a bit extreme from what we knew of his character up to that point in TCW and from the films. Or it's highlighting how badly Anakin is starting to lose that battle with himself. But Padme saying “I don’t know who's in there any more” had me going ‘right, time to use this as a wake up call’.
The Clovis Incident happens earlier in this AU (just after The Wrong Jedi - let me save Fives hot damn). Padme, actually seeing Anakin's rage first hand, notices how abrupt and strong the change is and makes some observations. Since the last time he entered Beserk Mode TM was also in response to someone he loved being harmed, she reasons that's the linking factor. I imagine her logic basically going; ok, so he goes afk due to anger/stress, he got angry because Clovis was too close to me, he’s stressed that he’ll lose me as I’m all he has now… He needs more people in his life! A+ logic there Padme. Because at this point? She kind of is all he has, besides Palpatine (which is the problem in of itself) - Ahsoka left, his trust in Obi-Wan is damaged (Hardeen arc), and Rex is his Captain so theres a power issue there.
Thats a lot of emotional energy for one relationship. She can also lay down the facts that the issue wasn't necessarily punching Clovis in the face (lmao he deserved that) but that Anakin didn't listen to her. THATS my main beef here honestly, Padme was far too passive by the end of that arc and I ain't about that. So she absolutely spells that out for him because she knows damn well his idea of expressing he cares is fucked from growing up in slavery and then being handed over to a bunch of monks (-Deep inhale- boi) but he needs to understand that isn’t how it’s done.
So she pushes him to actually speak with other people and maybe connect more with his fellow Jedi. Since he sees them more often anyway. They all seem very nice to her when she has spoken with them, she’s sure it’s just a misunderstanding between them all for how he feels.
This allows Anakin to really dig into what the Order considers attachment (it’s not having relationships that’s the problem, it’s possessive love - based on the concept that such ‘attachments’ prevent people from passing on into the afterlife). This misunderstanding has 100% come from his background because slaves were not allowed to have anything, except the bonds they made between themselves. Anakin views his relationships as things he owns, things he must protect and cherish before they are taken from him, because that’s all he was ever ‘allowed’ to have. He eventually gets to realise that the Order dissuades Jedi from having spouses/romantic partners because potentially having them in a position where they must carry out their duty over the safety of their spouse/partner is just cruel. They understand that facing such a dilemma would break a person and it is simply kinder to just avoid the possibility altogether. ‘It’s a peaceful life’.
Cue Anakin arguing that he would feel just the same having to let a platonic relationship go too which sparks off another 2 hour debate...
Anakin gradually reaching out to other Jedi more and more, starting off with who he thinks would be the easier ones, like Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Aayla, even Yoda oddly enough (Troll asks him to break him out of the med bay later in TCW and Anakin was instantly on board with such a thing. That’s hysterical). I think he’d eventually try with Luminara too, given the whole debacle of the Wrong Jedi involved their padawans, but that takes a bit of time. And, wouldn’t ya know, he realises that they don’t resent him, they’re not even remotely afraid of him or trying to suppress his abilities, and they’re perfectly happy to talk to him even when off the battlefield etc (Palpatines words are already starting to hold less water now that Anakins starting to get his own proof - I could go on about my ADHD headcanons but that’s a given I feel at this point). He starts to trust them. Not just trust that’s given to Jedi as default, to an ideal, but personal trust.
They start to swap battle tactics, ask each other for advice on certain scenarios or get second opinions. Then they start swapping stories about their troops and these idiots have been waiting for the opportunity to gush about how their Legions are the best. The ship nose art is a particular point of pride (That Plo wins btw). Pride is unbecoming of a Jedi but they’re proud OF their troops so it doesn’t count.
Given how much more often they all now talk to each other, they are able to slowly open Anakin's eyes to the fact that Palpatine is suspect af.
Aayla: he asked to meet you, alone, when you were how old? Anakin: about eleven, or twelve maybe? After I had settled into the Temple for a couple of years. Plo: and he took you where? Anakin: to the lower levels, he showed me a bar- Kit: [holding a hand up] I'm going to stop you there Aayla: [patting Anakin's shoulder] My guy, that's not normal. Plo: Nor is it appropriate Anakin: oh... I'm sure he didn't mean anything bad by it? He just wanted to show the good he can do when his hands are tied by the Senate Plo: The Senate he governs... Aayla: You were twelve.
They tell him to tell Obi-Wan.
It's a bit more of an up hill battle because Anakin's trust in Obi-Wan is still a little frazzled (never let it be said he's not a hypocrite about keeping certain truths) but he grudingly relays some of the conversations he's had with the Chancellor to him because of the comments the others have made. To his surprise, Obi-Wan looks distraught when he realises what Palpatine has been insinuating and he vows to never let him be alone with that man ever again. Obi-Wan always strived to allow Anakin to make his own choices once he became a knight, but this stems from decisions when he was a minor. Anakin thinks everyone is being very dramatic about this - pot meet kettle - and doesn't know what the harm is. This just makes people worry more - they are suddenly all keenly aware of what the Chancellor has been trying to do, even if Anakin hasn’t clocked it himself yet. But he is secretly (or not so secretly when you broadcast your emotions in the Force like a fog horn) pleased by Obi-Wans reaction. See? He does care. He’s just a little reserved about showing it because surprise, he’s also a little insecure Anakin, go fucking figure.
He does also allow himself to bond more with his troops and they all have a meeting where he lays down some ground rules:.
All of this just so he can relax with his men and actually be their friend when they're not suffering on the frontlines together. The clones are surprised but ecstatic about this development and waste no time at all bragging about how they have the best Jedi in the GAR. Wolffe, Monnk, and Bly have some things to say about this. Cody wisely keeps his mouth shut.
1) Off of the battlefield they are all equal, no ranks apply (besides medics, thank you Kix) and if anyone is uncomfy with that they can leave (nobody does) 2) He leads them all with the best of intentions but following Umbara he doesn't want any of them to feel like they can't call him out for being a twat (Rex does it just fine and he's still his SIC) 3) If anyone has any concerns or questions he wants them to feel safe enough to speak up about it, either tell him or Rex if it’s a vode issue specifically.
Given this turn of events when comes the time for Fives to seek out Rex and his General they hear him out and Anakin stops the blaster bolt Fox fires from hitting Fives. He’s stunned that one of his men would try to attack the Chancellor but he knows there has to be a reason, he wants to know why damnit. Also heeey has Fives been drugged?
They all get the low down on the chips and Anakin is now fuming. Bit too close to slave-chips. He's pleasantly surprised to find that Shaak Ti is also upset by what she has learned and with his prompting (and Fives looking utterly traumatised) shoves back at the Kaminoans hard.
They find the list of Orders. It's not pretty.
Anakin has his breakdown way earlier than Sheev intended and far out of his reach. Instead he is comforted by Shaak Ti (who quite frankly was probably counting the days until Skywalker crumpled) and a bunch of Clones who are similarly suffering from this discovery. Watching a Jedi break probably has most of them reshuffling a few pre-conceptions they had.
Anakin doesn't get sent to spy on the Chancellor and when he tries to buy Anakin's favour back by giving him a seat on the Council, Anakin refuses it and immediately dobs him in with the Jedi Masters. This time, they cotton on to Palpatine's intentions with Anakin and have him accompany Ahsoka on Mandalore. Far, far away. He doesn’t fight the decision, in fact he is rather relieved to be out of the man's reach. Plus, he now gets to fight alongside Ahsoka again so win-win.
Speaking of Ahsoka, even though she left the Order, Padme argues that this doesn't mean that she and Anakin can't still talk to each other. So he calls her and reminds her that he's there for her. Doesn't try to make her come back - though he makes it clear he would be very happy to take her back if she did choose to - and even though she said she wanted to go at it alone, she shouldn't forget that she does still have people she can turn to if things get lonely or hard. He had to be reminded of this so now he’s reminding her.
Just let this man truly understand the risks of what loving people as a Jedi means, learn how to do so in a way thats healthy for everyone involved, and allow himself to be extremely over the top about it much to everyone's surprise.
Ahsoka: I'll think about it Anakin: Sure thing. Anything. Anytime. Ahsoka: ... it is nice to hear from you though Anakin: !!
Ft. Padme being incredibly pleased with herself in the background.

Padawans always keep one guessing, even when all that is left of them is a sock and a box of dented models. Qui-Gon has spent a decade in regret, however. He can afford to spend just as long checking faces and gravestones. (Obi-Wan vanishes at the end of the war on Melida/Daan. Qui-Gon searches for him until the Clone Wars, when a civilian mechanic saves his life.)

The stars are out (and now I'm one of them) by aroacejoot - Rated G
It wasn’t Anakin’s fault. He was only a child, a bright and innocent little boy who could bend the laws of reality but still had trouble with his Aurebesh. A child who never asked to be made the way he was--a shifting, pulsing well of Power too deep to fathom and too Vast to comprehend. He’d merely sought comfort in the best way he knew and had no way to know what might happen.  (When Obi-Wan told Qui-Gon the boy was dangerous, he wasn’t necessarily wrong. Obi-Wan just ended up becoming dangerous too.)
A Wonder in Human Form by Intent_To_Stay - Rated T
Anakin Skywalker is a child of the force. How could he be anything other than monstrous and terrifying?
The Voice by glitter_glitch - Rated T
Darkness. Endless and absolute, stretching in all directions. Colder than the void between galaxies. In the darkness, a cacophony of creepy, discordant sounds. And voices. Distant, echoing and impossible to understand. Another voice cackled right next to Obi-Wan's ear, making him jump. This one was different from all of the others. It was loud and crystal clear. And something about it just felt… wrong. ~ A different kind of ROTS AU. Sidious is dead, Anakin didn't fall, and the Republic won the war. Life is good, for a while… at least until Obi-Wan starts having some disturbing visions.

My Star Wars Fic Recommendations: Part Two
Part One | Part Two | Part Three
The Ground Beneath Us - Obi-Wan makes Anakin go on walks and maybe it saves the galaxy.
Super Wishes - In a universe where the Empire never came to power, Padme Amidala is trying her hardest to make the twin's birthday party work perfectly while dealing with a crowd of Troopers, two hyper-active toddlers and a husband whose upset that once again, that the Jedi haven't come to the party. All seems lost until a last minute guest appears...
The Anomaly - Jedi Knight Obi Wan Kenobi and Padawan Ahsoka Tano are shocked to discover an impossibly high concentration of force sensitives on a desolate, backwater planet in the outer rim. Something weird is happening on Tatooine, and they will get to the bottom of it. Meanwhile on Tatooine, there is a slave who has gotten exceptionally good at podracing, and the Hutts have taken notice.
Choose Again - Obi-Wan didn’t realize it, but the Force heard him, and it swirled around him in growing intensity, whispering in his ear: “You were right” “The burden was too much for him” “You will have an opportunity to carry it instead” (The Force decides to try again, and this time, Obi-Wan Kenobi will be its Chosen One)
(You Taught Me) The Courage of Stars - Ahsoka Tano flees after a warrant for her arrest is issued, but not before receiving aid from an unexpected ally. (Ahsoka proceeds to go on a road trip filled with a bunch of strangers who all say the same thing: Obi-Wan Kenobi is much more than he has ever appeared to be.)
Eyes Full of Stars - Stranded on Tatooine, Anakin teaches Obi-Wan and Ahsoka about the constellations he looked at when he was growing up.
Bruises - "But it's not your fault and I don't need help, cause these bruises on my body, I gave to myself. You're allowed to take care of yourself" Or: Anakin and Ahsoka try to work through a myriad of traumas and thankfully have each other
Magic Blankets - C-3PO accidentally saves the galaxy by teaching a young Ani Skywalker how to crochet. Or in which the power of love and crafts solve a lot of problems and the Jedi Creche is about two inches away from kidnapping Anakin at any given moment.
In Sacrifice, Peace - The ROTS au where Obi-wan finds a very different type of pain while looking through the Temple's recordings of Order 66.
Back From the Future: Episode VI The Clone Wars - In which Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader travel back in time together to the Clone Wars era, have amazing adventures, and save the galaxy.
Reprise I - Ben Kenobi dies aboard the Death Star in the year 0 BBY. He wakes up shortly thereafter in the Jedi temple in the year 41 BBY. Haunted by memories and regret, Ben must forge a new path for himself in the Jedi Order of his youth while navigating the murky waters of time travel. Crafting a better future from bitter experience is hard, but learning to heal is even harder.
Reprise II - Ben Kenobi has been living in the past for three years, working behind the scenes to change the course of history. New friends and allies bolster his efforts, but old enemies - and new - lurk around every corner. With every day and every decision, Ben steps away the life that he knew and into a future he cannot predict.
Blue Hues - You come across Anakin sitting in the showers, clothed, wet and shivering. You decide to sit down next to him and talk while the blue lights flicker above you, the only light in the dark room. You also decide to become his friend. Only that Anakin can’t be fixed just by offering your friendship. He can’t be saved through nothing but kindness. And you’d learn that all on your own in due time.

Fic Idea Masterlist
Who He Is – Qui-Gon Jinn, right before the Naboo mission, is tossed forward in time where he meets a young Togruta padawan right off the coast of a battle. As she brings him to the base to meet with the High General, he talks a bit about his own padawan. (Time Travel)
Bending Jedi – The Jedi can bend the four main elements they have been keeping these specific abilities hidden away from the populous when they can, as people tend to fear them with what they can already do, the discovery of bending in Jedi would breed more distrust and fear. But the war has made that too difficult, as the Jedi are desperate to protect, and the clones are the first to discover the Jedi’s abilities, more than what they were told in their training. (Bending Jedi Avatar-Style)
Together Twins – An attack on Polis Massa forces Obi-Wan Kenobi to flee with both Luke and Leia Skywalker.
Chances – Trading their silence and obedience for the clones’ freedom at the end of the war, the Jedi find themselves nearly shunned and hated with the intense anti-Jedi sentiments that run rampant due to Palpatine’s influence. The clones refuse to accept this.
Order & Academy – After being rejected by Qui-Gon Jinn, initiate Obi-Wan Kenobi finds himself forward in time during that of the height of Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Academy. (Time Travel)
Third Systems Unprepared – During the explosion where he received his iconic scar, Commander Cody’s chip was knocked around to the point of disuse. When the Chancellor calls on Utapau to Execute Order 66, Cody has no idea what it means, therefore unable to send the orders to the rest of the 212th Attack Battalion and much of the Open Circle Fleet. It changes a lot.
Reverse Psychometry – After coming back from his stint with the Dark Side, Quinlan Vos spends some time with Obi-Wan Kenobi and touches his cloak with an ungloved hand. Instead of his psychometry giving him flashes of the past, he’s fairly certain it gives him a flash of the future. One where Obi-Wan’s grief is overwhelming, everyone is dead, and Anakin Skywalker burns without his limbs. (Reverse psychometry)
Kamino Investigation – Instead of chasing Jango Fett off Kamino, Obi-Wan Kenobi stays on planet, giving the tracker to another nearby knight, while he investigates the clones and the events surrounding them.
Space Survival – An explosion goes off on the Negotiator, which is in low orbit over the Republic world for repairs. Obi-Wan Kenobi is aboard and holding as much of the ship together as he can for the evacuation of the wounded.
Bracca Detour – Upon an accidental detour to Bracca after being sent to Tatooine for exile with Luke, Obi-Wan Kenobi finds Cal Kestis.
Lothal AU – Owen Lar’s disbelief and mistrust of Obi-Wan chases him away and the Jedi leaves with Luke (or Leia), eventually finding himself on Lothal where he befriends the Bridgers.
Bit Age Swap – Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker has no intention on taking a padawan just as the war is starting, despite being a knight for nearing a decade until his master, Mace Windu, comes to him with an orphaned padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, whose Master died on Geonosis and is determined to fight in this war, whether the Order likes it or not. Skywalker quickly discovers there is more to padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi than first meets the eye. (Smidge of Age-Swapping)
Din Djarin Au – With the Sith and Separatists defeated, Obi-Wan Kenobi and the 212th are finishing the last of the battles against the droids and stubborn Separatist leaders. It is on a planet, during one of these battles, where the droids are invading a city, that General Kenobi rescues newly orphaned and force-sensitive Din Djarin.
Stay Out of it – Obi-Wan and the 212thare in bound to Coruscant for a few days’ rest, refuel and new orders when Anakin and Padme’s marriage comes to light. And then, Obi-Wan can’t get back to the front quick enough.
This is Different – Coming back from Melida-Daan has proven more difficult than anticipated for Obi-Wan Kenobi and it only gets worse when he wakes up, decades later, only to be found – and accepted – by a monstrous Sith Lord, who seems to have some odd soft spot for him. (Time Travel)
Lineage Reconnection – Obi-Wan brings it upon himself to contact Qui-Gon’s lineage and friends to inform them of the news of his death. Yoda does what he does best and meddles. At least, it appears this time, it worked for the better of everyone involved.
Back with Hope – Obi-Wan Kenobi, a while after Order 66 finds himself back in time, reliving events. He doesn’t entirely know where to start with changing things until something changes for him. The Jedi receive a call from an unknown source – it is tiny clone children calling for their only hope – Obi-Wan Kenobi. (Time Travel)
Undying – It is on Bandomeer when Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn discover that the former cannot die, and it is used to their advantage. Obi-Wan keeps his secret, even after Qui-Gon’s death, until he can’t anymore. It is the revelation of the Chosen One prophecy that his purpose is revealed – as a Guardian, Obi-Wan Kenobi cannot die until the Chosen One has brought balance to the Force.
Lineage Last – Anakin and Ahsoka both leave the Jedi Order after she is accused – and proven innocent – and although Obi-Wan understands, the fact that he they left, and he is the last of his lineage doesn’t hurt any less.
Amor – Obi-Wan has been to war before; no one needed to convince him to wear at least some armor. Now how much, that is a different story.
Canon Switch – Anakin Style – After saying something he would come to regret; Anakin Skywalker finds himself in a universe where Obi-Wan had died on Naboo... and Qui-Gon had lived. It is not nearly as he dreamed it would be. (Alternate Universe – Canon Divergence – Time Travel)
Canon Switch – QuiGon Style – A heartbroken Qui-Gon survived Naboo while his padawan did not. Barely surviving for the next ten years, Qui-Gon finds himself in a universe where the opposite is true. (Time Travel)
Dooku Set Up – Tired of Palpatine’s schemes, Count Dooku thinks of defecting when the master Sith Lord is killed. Someone is setting him up and Dooku reaches out to the only person he desperately hopes can help - his grand padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Extra Weird Jedi – The Jedi end up being different than the clones had expected. More odd, dangerous, intriguing. The Kaminoans had told them one thing, the populace’s view of the Jedi. But up close, working with them? It’s so much different.
Baby Counselor – Obi-Wan Kenobi is the youngest member of the Council and is known a bit as the Council baby – at least with other masters – and those on it, are not afraid to treat him that way. It just a tad changes things.
Crechemaster Obi-Wan – When the war comes to an end, Obi-Wan Kenobi decides to become a creche master while Anakin and Padme expect their first child. But when the Senator dies of a cause that is no one’s fault, Anakin is left bereft and leaves his children behind. Obi-Wan takes Luke and Leia into his creche clan.
To be Chosen – Jedi Luke Skywalker is thrown back in time to that where the Order still exists. Finding he cannot go back; he constructs a new life and home into the Temple. Several years later, even though Master Yoda tries to keep a specific initiate away from his sight, Luke encounters him anyways and thinks, perhaps he and Obi-Wan were linked, always meant to be. Perhaps it was Luke’s turn to give back to his master. To be Chosen. (Time Travel)
Kamino Defense – Peace is restored after the war, although the work isn’t done. In response to the controversy surrounding his padawans marriage to Senator Amidala, Obi-Wan accepts a post to protect the clones and their young from power hungry warlords and greedy businessmen on Kamino while the Senate debates what to do with them.
Burned Deep – A thousand years ago, the Jedi chained themselves to the Senate and Republic and dismantled their military as a show of good faith. Now the Senate controls the Jed strictly to keep them from taking over. The Temple becomes a beautiful cage, their stringent parameters for missions a leash. In this world, when the war begins, Jedi are let loose as more of attack dogs than Generals. (Alternate Universe – Canon History Divergence)
Jumping Ages – In an attempt to use what she thinks is a Sith weapon, Ventress just ends up causing some chaos for Obi-Wan and the crew as he ends up popping in at different ages and stages of his life over the course of an unknown amount of time. The only one who doesn’t seem to be rattled is Cody. (De-Aging/Age Regression)
Padme Lives – After surviving Order 66, Padme is forced to hide away with her children, leaving Obi-Wan free to find surviving Jedi and learn about the clones’ predicament.
We Are Burning Stars - Instead of on a faraway planet, fighting the last battles of the war, Obi-Wan Kenobi is walking aside his Commander in the Jedi Temple when Order 66 hits.
Revolving Suns - Raised by Obi-Wan Kenobi, teenaged Luke Skywalker finds himself back into the Clone Wars while General Kenobi falls into an unexplainable coma.

✩ WEEKLY FIC ROUND-UP ✩
A collection of fics I’ve read (/reread) and thoroughly enjoyed in the past week-ish from all kinds of fandoms and genres.
TUA (Old Guard AU)
time is a clever invention by buddhaghost
“Klaus, it’s time to come home,” Diego says. Klaus laughs again, bright and loud and decidedly unamused.
“And where is that, exactly?” He asks, twirling the chord around his finger. “Last I checked, my home was destroyed in Jerusalem, around, oh, I don’t know, 5 B.C.?” He giggles. “5 Before Me.”
He can practically hear Diego roll his eyes. “The manor,” he says, sounding like he’s talking through clenched teeth. “You had the visions, you know –”
“Yes,” Klaus says, cutting him off sharply. “Yes, I saw that delightful young boy get riddled with bullets, and then saw him gasp back to life, so cliché, I thought, why not give him an interesting rebirth, like getting eaten by a shark, or run over by a lawn mower, or electrocuted or something –”
“Klaus,” Diego bites out. “We have to get him. He’s one of us now.”
Or: The Hargreeves are not the Umbrella Academy; they're the Old Guard, a group of immortals just trying to keep their family together.
BNHA
in any version of reality by redrobin1989
A villain with the ability to rewrite life changing moments tries to prevent Deku's rise by altering All Might's fateful meeting with a quirkless fan. But some paths are not easily diverted and some fates cannot be rewritten.
In every reality, Yagi Toshinori will always find and choose Midoriya Izuku.
Clone Wars
let's sing a song full of hope, full of pain by eynn
Part 1 of i can't go back and lose it all
Shaak Ti is the first to Fall. How could she not be? Plo Koon is next. He never regrets a moment of it. From there, it only escalates.
Stranger (In A Strange Land) by AssassinOfRome
RotS AU where after failing to rescue Palpatine from the newly youthful Dooku, Anakin has to juggle defending the Republic, protecting Padme, and the weight of his own destiny. And with his padawan expelled from the Order and his master seemingly gone, The Chosen One will have to make do with what has been left behind - a scared and secretive Apprentice Kenobi, with the body and memories of his sixteen year old self.
Saving the Galaxy just got a whole lot smaller.
Suicidal Misunderstandings by nevertheless_turtle
Obi-Wan scarcely a few years into his desert exile is (quite unexpectedly) thrown back in time to the height of the Clone Wars. This is in fact so unexpected that he reasonably (if incorrectly) assumes he is experiencing a spice-induced hallucination. After enjoying spending time with his lost loved ones, he decides he really needs to wake up before he dies of dehydration. When intense meditation fails, he tries to break the illusion through more...EXTREME measures (check the tags). Panic from all parties ensues.
I thought I fought this war alone by stonefreeak
Obi-Wan is thirteen years old, just about to start learning Ataru from his Master.
Obi-Wan is sixty-one years old, dead and one with the Force since four years back.
Obi-Wan is both, and neither.
 Life Goes On by BigFatBumblebee
The Clone Wars are in full swing, the Galaxy is going to hell in a handbasket and everybody is pushed to their limits. But life goes on and these are short stories, centered around Obi-Wan Kenobi, of the small moments that make up the bigger ones.
New Perspective by ejejie
Theoretically, Ahsoka knew it wasn’t funny. Not funny at all, in fact. It was in no way funny that her master’s consciousness was no longer in his body. It was not a good thing that Anakin Skywalker, the Hero with No Fear, was currently the closest to a full-blown panic attack that she had ever seen him. It was not humorous in the slightest that she, in fact, was technically the cause of this—well, she hadn’t actually made it happen, she had just… pulled the trigger. Accidentally, of course.
Still, the sight (and sense) of Anakin being in Master Kenobi’s body, alternating between hysterics and subtly checking himself out—holy Force above, she would never forget it.
