Star Wars could have been great, but nope, George Lucas decided to not have not even a single Alien species that are just Sentient Dinosaurs. Literally just that, Dinosaurs. Star Wars could be fixed with Dinosaurs

#i was literally watching it like. ooooh what trope are they gonna pull next#big mashup of cars1 and cars3 plots lines and not even executed as well#credits are him going “and now i'm gonna do exactly what i was gonna do anyways”#with literally no change no growth#rookie should have won. i really wanted to see his mom proud and happy and beat up brad pitt but noooooooo
@ekaisser
exactly!!! it would also be important if the rookie wins, and Sony is legitimately happy/proud of him. It could have been both ways, Sony letting him win or if Joshua actually got his well deserved win, it would have at least told us that Sony overcame his stupid actitude problem.
I was also expecting that after the accident, it would be like a pivotal moment, like he can't race anymore, so he puts all his heart into teaching Joshua, but noooo. He wasn't a mentor, he wasn't a friend, he wasn't supportative up until the last minute, he wasn't even good at the romance, and i can't say he's good at racing either, he keep crashing over and over lmao
I watched the F1 movie and I can't believe the cars movies, The movies for Kids, were less of a coward by having the more risky final but more meaningful where the protagonist Doesn't Win.

I'm wondering if the jedi have sex education or if it's too down-to-earth for them
Hiiiiiiii
Well, I suppose they do, but hm, who knows? The way they were originally written as these orientalism stereotypes mystic mysterious and elevated guys would meant that probably not, they're too Know-It-All for that.
But the prequels and EU humanized them beyond that and from what we know, they do get taught normal subjects like maths and stuff, so I think is safe to say they get taught sex ed, but probably the very surface level of average schools (well, I dont know how it is in the US and other places, but i did get sex-ed through several levels of school, it wasn't stellar but there was).
I think it would be interesting though, if in jedi culture sex-ed is expected as one of the responsabilities of Padawan's masters, instead of their usual classes, that way you would end with jedi of the same gen with wildly different ideas surrounding sex.
Is a bit tricky to know how far teaching is standarized (classes) vs a personal approach (their masters), so I would lean to "they get taught the basics, but is expected of Masters to be the ones to explain it further". The jedi aren't christian (is just obi-wan that gives catholic vibes), so i don't think they would have much trouble with it, especially because i'm sure there must be a lot to explain given all the different alien species. But because the jedi do lean towards the 'seek more spirituality, we're luminous beings, not crude matter yadahyadah eventually we return to the force yadahyadah' i do think they would be a bit Holier-than-thou 'sex is not even great why try' and would focus more on to be careful about how sex can lead to attachments, and therefore it would fall more onto explaining the code, which as far as i am aware, is more of a Master's duty.
So in summary, I would say they do, but is not great, very basic, and it depends a lot of the padawan's master
But these are just my thoughts! I'm not well versed on the EU, although I doubt this gets talked about in the EU, lol

I think I explained my reasoning of why I think they do in my original response, but to go more in deep about it; the jedi's religion isn't supposed to be equal as the religions we're used to in our society. Is not christianity, and there's no reason why we should assume they would have the same exact ideas about purity and 'virginity' surrounding sex.
They're more focused on the no attachments rule and against greediness and power, which could potentially lead them to be kinda okayish, if a bit judgemental, about casual sex, but no fully developed relationships. But like I said, I'm just theorizing here, I have always said the jedi are more similar to the Knight Templars, but their beliefs aren't equal to those of christianity or catholicism (or buddhism)
Anakin's visions were in fact about Padmé's death, ddfnskjn. There's a precedent and that's why the movies presented us first with his mother's death: So we know that Anakin has the gift of prophecy, and that his vision turned out to be true, and led to disaster, and to present us with a parallelism.
I know is a common joke (which isn't funny to me, tbh), but Anakin as irrational as he might be at times, isn't that ignorant or stupid, if that's what happened in the movie it would be just utterly ridiculous. In his visions Padmé is not only screaming but asking for Anakin's help. There's nothing in the movies that would suggest his visions weren't about her death, I think . If we analyze it further too, he was a slave for his first 9 years of life, Tatooine is a terrible Not-Child-Friendly place, and I'm willing to bet Anakin knew from where babies come from before he knew what a plant is, if he knew how someone's head exploding looked like at 9 I'm sure he also is aware of what giving birth is at 22 years old 😆

I know Anakin's desilusions of grandiosity are the talk of the town, but something something Padmé dehumanization of herself as a result of so much survivor trauma and so many close death calls. She's the senator with the highest murder attempts on her, she gets assesination attempts weekly and brushes them off, and she keeps chasing for justice to the point of collition, she sees people dying around her all the time but she keeps on living and living, at some point she's flirting with death as much as Anakin does in the battlefield. And something something, Anakin, ironically, in his extreme trauma and fear of death taking the people he loves, being the only one to say "You're a person, and your name is Padmé, not queen nor senator, and you're as fragile as any other live being" Something something the irony that person that most adored her being also the one who saw her as a person Something something Anakin commiting atrocities not for a goddess, no for a politician no for royalty, for a person. Something something how contrarian it is, that Anakin sees himself as a weapon, and Padmé's extreme guilt becoming what seems like superiority.
And particularly here in this comic something something how easily Anakin can walk through that storm Padme has created, how easily he can enter into her headspace and she doesn't flinch, doesn't blink, she isn't even surprised because she expects him and he's the only one that knows and can reach her like this, they're just having a conversation, something something.
Something.
I swear this was the end of me, so idc if i'm rambling, this comic kept me up awake for more than one day, because the power would go out every single time i sat to work on it, damnit
i need to sleep asap, and eat, eating first probably
