made up my mind with the whole casey and hun situation

hun is casey’s step dad, and the father of case’s half sister angel

casey and hun hate each other, and angel has a pretty strained relationship with hun

he eventually gets his redemption through venus/mei

in next mutation, where venus de milo got her debut as the fifth/girl ninja turtle, venus’ real name is mei pieh chi, and she grew up in chinatown

so the idea is that hun, seeing what the foot turtles are going through, starts to reach out. he bonds the most with venus, and he becomes the father that venus never had and hun couldn’t be for angel. hun says something about if he ever had a daughter he could’ve named himself he would’ve named her mei.

while angel had changed her name to not be chinese(because a. she’s trans and just happened to settle on the name angel and b. because of her strained relationship with her dad she distanced herself from that side of her ethnicity) venus adopts the name mei over time when she gets closer to hun(which wouldn’t take long since he’s one of the only people showing her kindness), which goes with the idea of “venus de milo” always being a name put on venus that wasn’t really hers. in idw, it’s what the scientist names her

and in next mutation the other turtles just kinda start calling her that and while she never expresses discomfort with it they still don’t even ask.

Boney M. - Rasputin 1978

"Rasputin" is a song by Germany-based Afro Caribbean pop and Eurodisco group Boney M. It was released as the second single from their third studio album Nightflight to Venus. The core of the song tells of Grigori Rasputin's rise to prominence in the court of Tsar Nicholas II during the early 1900s, referencing the hope held by Tsarina Alexandra Fyodorovna that Rasputin would heal her hemophiliac son, Tsarevich Alexei of Russia, and as such his appointment as Alexei's personal healer. Due to a lack of money, the children are suffering from constant diarrhea and stomachaches due to malnutrition and the contaminated food and water they have to consume!

There are also 3 babies among Mahmoud's 17 family members. The youngest of them, baby Meryem, was only born a few months ago . Mahmoud's sister gave birth to the baby with the sound of bombing around her, with no medical personnel or medical resources available. Hence, she almost died giving birth to the baby! While she luckily survived, she is still suffering from many infections due to the difficult birth. But they don't have money to buy medicine!

They also have no shelter now because their tent was completely destroyed in a bombing! Nothing to shield them from the winter cold and the rain!

Amazing how with g1 ot had no issue keeping honey’s afro in every doll of hers but still making it unique for each doll

Yet g3 the supposdly “ultra inclusive ultra progressive” reboot gave venus twists in her first doll only to INSTANTLY give her straight hair in the second doll
