3. Which iconic bff duo are they?

felix: i am having trouble of thinking of a pair that could just carry that MAYHEM. lilo and stitch?

tina: these two are chaotic too, but it’s less !!! in a sense. and more borne of years -- they don’t always GET each other (tina is infinitely more sensitive than val and doesn’t always get val’s awkward humor) but when they do? wow! (i vary with how close i have, they werent terribly so in my first pt, but on my second im leaning toward the direction of close and growing closer). 

i can’t quite think of an “iconic” dynamic that fits that exactly. maybe jake and rosa from b99? (though tina is no rosa ertew lmao)

6. What was their first impressions of each other?

I’m goin solely with Felix and Val. We know Felix was open to flirt and looking to make a friend. Val thought Felix was hot and had fun energy, but they were also wary/a bit sus because the team was related to Rebecca and stepping on their insecurities toes.

23. Why are they bffs?

tina: proximity lmao. and tina’s relentlessness. but mostly because i see them as the type of ‘when they’re good, they’re very very good’. they’re both passionate about their work/they care about justice, they both enjoy having fun, they’re both short. there was no other choice but bonding. 

felix: they can match each other’s energy. val is going to show felix a whole new world (physically .... activities-wise, get your mind out the gutter). and felix is gonna show val much needed emotional / encouraging support (and adam insight). val also doesn’t have a lot of people that -- i dont know how to describe it, but that’s THEIRS. on their corner, and that discovery will be a lot. so im looking forward to felix havig that at their back, because i can see val being protective.  a mixture of pitbull and awkwardly supportive

adam: strangely enough kendis doesn’t often do silly contact names. he was probably just variations of his name. but he was very likely ‘commanding agent dukie man’ once. and ‘adam 🙄’ . these days, as the fondess grows, he’s probably occasionally ‘buttface ❤️’ but she changes it in front of him and shows him when he’s being Most. 

kendis is ‘most cherished detective’ ONLY BECAUSE farah had made it ‘my favorite detective’, and adam was gonna change that nonsense but he saw that kendis was lowkey touched, so he made it more his style. they don’t know he’s changed it to THAT, he’s saving it for maximum damage, possibly. 

verda: they’re ‘sci guy’ on each other phones. it’s a dad joke gone wrong, thanks verda. 

20. Which song do they both vibe on together?

verda: probably she blinded me with science by thomas dolby. it probably started as kendis being a brat (thinking they're funny) (("science!!!!")) and evolved into a thing -- their thing. (tina vibes too, can't leave their third out, but they get a kick out of it more)

adam: how to be a heartbreaker by marina.  is lizzo out when the books are? what year is it in wayhaven book 3? probably something peppy and energetic when adam tortures trains the detective. i can see clearly now by jimmy cliff or eye of the tiger by gloria gaynor.

Kadam should be straight forward as to why, Adam loves to compliment Kurt ❤️

St. Hummel is kinda based on St. Berry and how Jesse works with Rachel, he'd also compliment Kurt a lot... In his own way while also complimenting himself in the process lol

Hevans is because they just... Spend time at the Hudmel house a lot, sitting in the same room doing different things while snuggled together (so also Physical Touch I guess) Sam likes experiences as dates, doing things that are free or cheap but still fun. Picnics and stargazing, trips to thrift shops and letting Kurt dress him, visiting museums and iconic spots in New York. Etc.

I don't know why I immediately thought Acts of Service for Puckurt, but I can see Puck trying to make up for his past bullying with Kurt by doing nice things for him. Holding out doors, pulling out chairs, being a gentleman. Kurt thinks he's treating him as a girl at first and is annoyed about it, but that's just what Puck has seen in media to do when you like someone.

And I added Klaine for receiving gifts because it's basically canon. Ring scene, Margret Thatcher dog, the puppets, flowers.

Samantha Melanie Wood, Gryffindor Class of 2023, 5th Year Sam selected her career path before the age of five, boldly announcing that it was her destiny to be a chaser on England’s national quidditch team. She’s played alongside frenemy James Potter since their third year and is counting the days until she leaves school and can sign with a professional team. In the meantime, she’s campaigning to become Gryffindor’s team captain next year and effortlessly impressing her Transfiguration professor while disappointing all the others.

Adam Roger Wood, Gryffindor Class of 2027, 1st Year Adam is the only Wood child with no aspirations to play professional quidditch. In fact, he’s fascinated by the muggle sport of football that his mum and muggleborn friends have told him about. He spends most of his time with the two friends he met on the Hogwarts Express on September 1st, trying to fly as under the radar as he can following his parents’ win at the 2020 Quidditch World Cup.

Some Random Glee Headcanons

I said I’d make a separate headcanons post, so here it is! If you’re on the Glee subreddit and saw this there, it was my comment. I didn't steal it - these are my own original headcanons :)

Blaine is biracial. His mother cheated on his white father with a Filipino man during a rough part of their marriage and got pregnant. She passed the baby off as Blaine's father's and luckily for her, Blaine was white-passing enough that Blaine's dad never found out.

Kurt's mother's name was Elizabeth. After his mother's death, Kurt begged his father to let him change his middle name to Elizabeth in her honor.

Kurt visits his mother's grave regularly and did so after every major milestone in his life.

Dalton's sister school Crawford Country Day is owned by a member of Adam Crawford's family.

While Burt had cancer, Blaine went over to the Hudson-Hummel house a few times a week to check up on him and make sure he was eating healthy. Sometimes he helped cook meals with Carole.

Between 4x21 and 5x01, Kurt and Blaine were hooking up. That is why Blaine says that they're 'officially' back together in 5x01.

Klaine and Samcedes went on double dates in NYC.

Kurt and Carole bonded right from the start, but become even closer after Finn's death.

After the wedding, Pam, Carole, and Burt become extremely close and have weekly dinners.

Blaine and Elliott reconnect at NYU and hang out regularly.

Rachel is not the egg donor for Klaine's child.

Sam and Mercedes eventually get back together.

Klaine and Brittana become close friends after the wedding and eventually celebrate their fifth anniversary together.

Klaine, Samcedes, and St. Berry's children are very close.

Santana and Brittany do not have kids, instead choosing to travel the world and live a life of luxury.

Kurt and Blaine renew their vows with a proper ceremony ten years after their wedding.

Dalton is eventually rebuilt, and Kurt and Blaine come back to Ohio to visit and see it.

After doing Broadway for a decade, Blaine becomes a music professor at some prestigious university and Kurt goes back to Vogue with his own fashion line on the side.

Quinn Fabray is bisexual and marries a woman later on in life.

HEADCANONS

Growing up famous, he was always in the public eye. There are pictures of his sonograms on the internet. It feels normal, but he does feel like a monkey on a stage sometimes. He's had a couple scandals already, nothing problematic just dangerous. He's actually known for being incredibly kind and generous, giving to other people whenever he has an opportunity. It's been speculated in the tabloids that he has a drinking problem, despite being on Broadway (and having explicit rules that he has to follow on and off stage to represent his craft). His parents are great and loving, but he does feel pressured to live up to their legacy and he feels kin to things that child stars like the Olsen twins have said in interviews about their childhoods. He's got a bunch of VHS movies that he starred in as a child as well, it was in his late teens that he moved onto stage work instead of film and has been in starring roles on Broadway ever since.

It's that pressure that makes him want to drink, he's got more anxiety than he leads on. He's sure that nobody would understand how someone that lives in the spotlight and has everything he could ever want could feel the way that he does sometimes.

He travels between the US and UK all of the time, it's not unusual for him to get on a plane 6-12 times in a year, depending on how much work he's taking on.

Personality wise, he's a jokester. He's easy to get along with and easy to like.

CONNECTIONS

PARENTS: His mother is born in the states and his father was born in England, both coming from wealthy families and proving themselves by gaining accolades quickly. They met while performing together in the New York Symphony and their whirlwind romance was something that was gossiped about in the US And UK, because of their social status and status as celebrities. BROTHER: Adam Crawford is his older brother, their parents are why he was asked to coach and captain the Adam's Apples at NYADA. BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND: He does have a significant other, s/he's someone that he was arranged to meet and was expected to at least try to date. I'm going to be really vague here because I'd like whoever was interested in this role to come to me to plot for it and I want to leave room for creative freedom. However, I do really want you to come plot with me before applying for this. CLOSE FRIEND: Someone he can sit down and gossip with and talk to honestly, even if he has to reveal some parts of himself that don't make him look good in the process. This is someone he could be talking to about cheating on his significant other with and not be judged harshly. This could be another actor and/or someone he's known since childhood. They trust each other because neither of them can trust anyone else, lest their deepest and darkest secrets end up in the tabloids. THE CO-STAR: Stevie Evans has been on the same cast on Broadway for quite some time. They just keep working together, and at this point there's something that keeps him coming back to the other man off stage too and he is most definitely cheating on his official partner with Stevie.

Headcanon meme

Just answering Francis + sleep (the little moon that I can’t copy for some reason) at the moment but I’ll hopefully get to the others soon.

Sooo... this sort of grows out of our discussion about that sleep positions meme that was going round about 5 million years ago and how the various Lymond characters (band AU or canonverse) would sleep:

In my head, Lymond spends most of Checkmate just not sleeping at all, or a faceplanted, comatose wreck that none of these images quite convey.

That first night, right at the end of the book, he and Philippa fall asleep in an emotionally exhausted tangle of limbs because everything is JUST SO MUCH, but after that, Francis tends to sleep a bit like the guys flat on their backs in the middle row - unnervingly quiet, unnervingly still, ever so slightly corpse-like. He always has one hand touching Philippa - she wakes up with a lock of her hair (which tends to get everywhere in the night, no matter how well she braids it) wrapped around his hand or his fingertips touching her hand or the cloth of her sleeve. Sometimes, she wraps herself round him in her sleep and wakes up to find watching her in the darkness of the room, gently stroking the fine-grained skin at the nape of her neck with callused fingers and just looking at her with extraordinary wonder.

But when he’s asleep, he’s just so utterly remote and still. He sleeps, she thinks, not so much like the complex Francis Crawford with whom she spends her days, but like the Voevoda Bolshoia or the Marshal of France, a tool set aside for a moment, an automaton awaiting the winder’s key.

And then one day in spring 1559, Philippa wakes late - far later than she’s slept in months because Francis is always up with the dawn, alert as soon as the household has begun to stir. There’s something strange, something wrong in the room. There’s a weight across her chest and an unaccustomed warmth at her back. There’s the clatter of the household in the distance and a cat tromping round on her feet and complaining noisily about the din. Philippa realises that the weight and the warmth are Francis. No longer the automaton, he has curled himself round her and is soundly asleep. She begins to panic as nothing - not even the prick of the cat’s claws - wakes him, to conjure up worried scenarios in her head, until, softly but unmistakably, he begins to snore. He sleeps a little longer and wakes to her fingers carding through his hair and a cat sitting grumpily on his chest. It is very far from the last time Francis sleeps curled contentedly around Philippa, and she never lets him forget the snoring.

That’s certainly not an unpopular opinion heeere. I love the idea of bi Blaine. And I mean not to sound like I’m complaining about too much gay rep (bc there’s no such thing!) but look at all the canon gay male characters we had: Kurt, Blaine, Karofsky, Sebastian, Elliott, Hiram and LeRoy Berry, Sheldon Beiste, Adam Crawford, Chandler Kiehl , Spencer Porter, Alistair. Surely it wouldn’t hurt to take one measly guy out of those and make him canonically bi

Althooough honestly I’m pretty sure Elliott, Adam, Chandler, and Alistair were never verbally confirmed on the show to be gay. Adam and Chandler were only shown being attracted to Kurt, which just makes them human. Alistair was only shown being into Spencer. Really we could make all of them bi if we wanted. And Elliott was never shown being attracted to anyone, and yeah Rachel called him her “new best gay” but, like that means anything lmao. I hc Elliott as ace anyway bc I like going against the grain 

But I mean what else can we do but headcanon who we want as what we want?? Especially in this case since the writers hated bi people so damn much

this is a fun ask! also i love that gif so much, but i find it so funny how the people in the background are dressed in summer clothes and here's kurt and rachel just... dressed for autumn...

Kurt does enjoy dancing, i mean we know that because of Single Ladies, but its not his most favourite thing to do (see First Time and Blame It On The Alcohol) he mostly likes to watch others dance if he's in a club or at a party, he's actually kind of a wallflower - unless of course he's trying to keep Sebastian's hands off of Blaine. That being said, I can see Kurt enjoying, maybe, ballroom dancing, or going swing dancing. Something more old-fashioned like he'd see in his favourite old black and white movies. Chummel popped into my head first, for obvious reasons, but I'm imagineing a senario where Kurt is some famous Broadway star, or some household name in fashion, or whatever, and he's invited onto Dancing With The Stars. now, we know they're willing to do same sex pairs (thank you JoJo Siwa! (and also Nicola Adams who did it first on Strictly (british DWTS) last year and John Whaite as the first male/male pair on Strictly this year, apparently!)) So Kurt requests this, and he gets paired up with Mike - they'd lost touch a few years back and Kurt isn't actual a DWTS fan so he didn't know Mike was a dancer on it (or maybe he's new and Kurt is a fan idk) and they have loads of fun dancing and catching up and they win the competition and get together.

camping + sam

Sam is definately a camper! and whoever he's with will have to just deal with that. But they love him so they put up with it. I'm imagining Samcedes, after getting back together around their 30s would go camping a lot when Mercedes isn't on tour. Either they'd go somewhere in Ohio near Lima or they'd go up to the mountains in LA/California and camp there, maybe even somewhere around the appalachians in New York. Mercedes demands it's more like Glamping though, maybe in some cool Air BnB in nature without other people where there's running water but it still feels like camping enough to Sam. This could also really work with Hevans, but I can imagine Kurt actually starting to kinda like camping. I mean, Burt totally took him a few times when he was a kid, but he didn't like the bugs and the dirt. But with Sam it's easier, because Kurt's in love. So he puts up with it, and begins to really get into, like, making campfires and roasting marshmellows. Maybe they go for the first time with Burt and Carole and Finn the summer before S4. and then, when Kurt and Sam are together (idk how in this senario) they go to the same campground in Ohio, or places around the appalachians. Blam, however? Blaine would totally be up for camping with Sam. idk why because he doesn't look like the type exactly but I can see Blaine, in all his button up shirts and bow tied glory, being at one with nature sitting outside a tent roasting marshmellows and making smores with their adorable little toddler next to him and Sam looking at the scene with heart eyes. (I couldn't choose just one ship for some reason... my multishipping heart is too big)

traveling + jesse

I'mma do St. Cooper because it's fun to ship them. So Jesse, after years of theatre, realises that maybe he's not the hot commodity he was in High School and he sells out and starts doing commercials and TV just to get his name out there. he hates it just so we're clear. Because he's a theatre snob. Anyway, on a job he meets Cooper. it's for a TV show set all over Europe or something and they're playing small bit roles, glorified extras really, but still, they've got a lot of time to wait around and do nothing and they're being paid to do so and traveling all around europe, so as the two glorified extras in the show they hang out together a lot and just explore the cities or towns or small little villiages in the english countryside where they're filming. and eventually they fall in love. neither of them have any idea they both have connections to the New Directions until Cooper introduces Jesse to his family like a year later, namely Blaine and Kurt, and all hell breaks loose (mostly Kurt accusing Jesse of having some nefarious plan.)

food + adam

Adam is always on the look out for british shops or restuarants in New York, but hardly any of them are right. But somehow, when he and Kurt start going out, Kurt shows him this little high tea place in Brooklyn (which totally feels out of place in the hipster neighbourhood) that is perfect. it has his brand of tea!!! and trust me, even as a non-tea drinking brit this is a thing here. Sure, most people will be fine with any if you're at a person's house, but there is a lot of debate over which is better. Tetley? PG Tips? Yorkshire Tea? Adam himself is a PG Tips man for English Breakfast tea, mostly because of their little monkey mascot that he remembers fondly from his childhood and because it was the first cup of tea he ever had. And this place had it and they brewed it to perfection and now he and Kurt go there for most of their dates and Adam talks the owners (a nice old british couple from surprisingly close to his hometown in Essex) and convinces them to let him buy boxes of the tea for himself to make at home. (okay so this is less food and more drink ahaha)

mornings + rachel

Rachel is such a morning person it's obnoxious. The only person I can think of who would be right there with her, ship wise, is Jesse. Who is also an obnoxious morning person. They would both be up at like... 5am, and working out in the gym of their apartment building together looking out at the manhatten skyline (because they totally live in one of those fancy expensive appartments), and then running scales at their piano and doing scenes at their breakfast table as their cook makes breakfast (because they are both terrible cooks, though Rachel can at least bake well)

autumn + tina

Tina loves autumn, but not the snuggly sweaters, pumpkin spice latte autumn. Tina is all about spoopy season. From September until Early November her home is decked out with Halloween decorations. She likes the tasteful gothic look, slightly celestial. She has crystals and skulls and purples and oranges, and on the week leading up to halloween proper she adds spider webs and skeletons and vampires, tacky plastic monsters that sing The Monster Mash as you walk past them and pumpkin string lights. I can imagine Artie haveing fun decorating with her, with his director brain, and he and her would dress up their kids and they'd all make cute little home videos and 'horror' movies each year. and of course they'd all go trick or treating.

do you ship klaine?

short answer is no, not at all.

long answer is yes, kind of?

in that i don’t think they should be endgame under any circumstances (unless you take away their history as teens and have them meet as well-adjusted 30 year olds but even then i’m not really about it) but do think they were genuinely important for each other -- they needed each other to grow and to discover what they liked and disliked in relationships. but their relationship was so strange and one-sided (blaine transferred to mckinley to be with kurt after some Very Obvious comments from kurt lmao!!!) that it just... wasn’t healthy, in the least.

the cheating fiasco is really, really strange (it seems out of character for blaine but in hindsight that kid almost definitely had a mental illness of some kind) but trying absolve either one of the blame is just bullshit. kurt emotionally neglected blaine and that’s awful especially after blaine freely expressed his concern over kurt doing just that (there’s a wonderful meta on blaine after the mckinley transfer that explains why blaine actually coming out and talking about his concern is a big thing but i can’t find it right now) buuuuuuut blaine was the one who did the cheating. he can feel awful all he wants (and he does, to the point where i’m honestly concerned about this kid), but he still cheated. there’s no absolving him of that. 

so like, idk -- in my own personal headcanons, kurt lives a very happy life in a relationship with adam crawford and elliott gilbert and blaine learns how to love his own company before going on and falling in love with sam evans (or sebastian smythe, but that’s a different talk and a very long one because hell-o baggage), but i think erasing their relationship is such a huge disservice to both kurt and blaine. they fucked up a lot, but they grew so much from their fuckshow of a relationship.

it was just weird, how the only truly honest look we got of their relationship was when they weren’t even talking -- we saw how codependent blaine was on kurt and how that wasn’t returned at all, hell kurt seemed to enjoy how torn up blaine was at times. but even that was completely overlooked when they got back together, so.

(there’s no way that doesn’t come up in fights, too -- well, you cheated on me! you can’t use that against me forever, kurt! we were kids! watch me!)

so yeah, i guess i ship them solely as a Past Thing and even then i wish there was another way they could’ve achieved the same growth that didn’t hurt both of them so badly.
