...I started writing a jfo fic. i don't think i can write any Jason stuff until I get this idea out of my head >.< I know the whole "two cakes!" thing is like 100% true and real, but I can't help but go hmmm because there are so many talented writers and I'm sooooooo late to the party and all that......
#I only just got like...halfway (i think) through dathomir#I don't know how much of the game I have left#but I already want to buy survivor#and you know not consuming the source material has never stopped me from writing fanfic before#I actually have MORE jfo consumption pre fic reading AND writing#than I did ff15

Top 3 scenes or overall pieces of writing that got the strongest emotional reactions out of you! Be them joy, anger, sadness or whatever else that was really intense for you.
Honorable mention to Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch Has A Glitch. I can’t describe to you the emotional state that put me in as a lil kid, cause what kid expects to see their favorite Disney character slowly die a painful death for an 1hr 30min. I’m thinking about the ending now and I’m still upset. Why was that the sequel to a found family movie!?
I’m also shouting out Marcy Wu from Amphibia. As well as Marnie from When Marnie Was There.
Angel Beats, the entire last half. I shit you not, the reason I rarely cry over sad movies and shows is this anime. You see this at a young age and the bar moves up forever. I love that show. Fuck that show. The comedy was a trap!
A Silent Voice. I was fine until the literal last 3 minutes and the piano. When I tell you I clenched my chest and sobbed for the first time and years, I mean it. Fantastic movie
I think I’m going to put both KH Birth by Sleep and 358 Days here. I’m not gonna say they are the most emotional things I experienced but for context, I beat those games alone in the middle of the night. Days is also the reason I find memory stories so sad in general. As a kid I think those were two of my first experiences getting to the end of a story and by all rights, everyone lost. You were fighting to fail because they were prequel games.
I could probably put a few Final Fantasy games on here honestly. Beating FF15 at 1am is a cold feeling for a teenager. I have two more honorable mentions. Inside Out 2 is a devious movie. Second…
Tinkerbell and The Neverland Beast. Talk to anyone who’s seen that movie and you will get a reaction out of them.
Listen, I don’t promote yelling at me, but I will say this, Everyone should watch I Want to Eat Your Pancreas. Anyone who actually does that has full range to call me a monster in my inbox. Those are my terms and conditions.

Hi everyone! Sorry for my radio silence the past couple weeks; everything everywhere is terrible, you see.
Anyway, I'm still not sure exactly when submissions will open up, but until then, I figured I would get out the ruleset I'm thinking of so we can all get on the same page, as "marine reptile" isn't a specific taxon or anything.
So the gist of my concept is that the candidate must be clearly reptilian, and either based off a real marine reptile, or be a reptile that isn't necessarily aquatic in real life, but is in the work it comes from.
For clarity's sake, we will consider "real marine reptile" to refer to: turtles (not tortoises!), sea snakes, marine iguanas, crocodilians, ichthyosaurs, sauropterygians, mosasaurs, and thalattosaurs. There may be others I'm missing but this should cover most of them.
In addition, mythical creatures like sea serpents and dragons WILL be allowed, and reptiles that are marine or aquatic in their fiction WILL also be allowed even if not from the above groups. Please read the detailed rules below, though!
I've spent quite some time figuring this out so, I'm pretty happy with these, but feel free to leave feedback and if I'm convinced I will make adjustments!
Detailed rules:
If the candidate is based off of the listed groups, they ARE eligible, UNLESS the candidate is specifically terrestrial or averse to water. This includes characters based off of animals in the listed groups, but are not aquatic in their fiction. Examples of eligible candidates based on this rule: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Vector the Crocodile, Lapras, etc. Examples of characters NOT eligible from this rule: Torkoal, the FF15 Adamantoise, Krookodile.
If the candidate is kinda sorta based off of one of the listed groups (like a hybrid or something), they WILL be allowed so long as the overall intent still reads as a marine reptile. Example: The Driblee from Kirby more or less resemble small plesiosaurish things, so they count even if they're not really based on an actual animal. The Turtle Tiger from Yu-Gi-Oh, meanwhile, is not really a marine reptile as much as it is a tiger in a shell, so it will not count.
Candidates not based at all on the above groups CAN still be eligible, INCLUDING dragons, sea serpents, random lizards, and tortoises, IF and ONLY if they meet BOTH following criteria: a) They are clearly reptilian (based on design, not lore), and not fish/eels, too humanoid, or an amalgam of too many different things that renders them no longer really reptilian (like some Asian dragons). b) They are creatures that actually live in an aquatic environment, and are not just "Water type", or a water deity that presides over a body of water without actually living in or being adapted for it. Examples of allowed candidates: Sobble, Seadramon, Mercury from Dragalia Lost, the Water Dragon from Yu-Gi-Oh Examples of ineligible candidates: Kingdra, the Unagi from Avatar, Peng Lai from Dragalia Lost, Milotic
This time, documentary animals are ONLY allowed if the animal was entirely CGI generated. Which is to say, probably only extinct documentary characters. On the other hand, animal characters portrayed by real animals in fiction ARE eligible.

Final fantasy final fights ranked by difficulty (the ones I've played) (mainline only)
FF1 (PSP): 5/10 Kind of a difficulty spike if you've been going through the game normally without grinding. Not too bad though iirc.
FF2: 1/10 I genuinely don't know if it's possible to lose this battle. You get Leon and the bloodsword (?) right before the finale and he practically two-rounds Mateus. It's ridiculous but the entire game is stupidly easy so it's fitting
FF3 (DS): 10/10 Bro genuinely what were they smoking when they made this one. Feels impossible unless you grind your party up into the late 50s. And they put that piece of shit at the end of a literal 3 hours dungeon with no checkpoints. Love it.
FF4 (PSP) 9/10: Most ridiculous difficulty spike in the series. Whole game is easy (NOT the DS version) and then that shit slaps you in the face. I never beat it lol but I also only tried a single time. I know in my heart it's objectively easier than FF3. Not on DS, probably. But at least the dungeon is shorter. And probably has a checkpoint. Also banger song
FF5 (PS1).. bruh I never finished 5 IM SO SORRY ILU 😭 Gilgamesh out of 10 I couldn't get past the big bridge. Game was lowkey difficult the whole time.
FF6 (PS1): 4/10 Epic set up, epic music, but not particularly difficult. That's ok though. The dungeon before is the real pain in the ass.
FF7: 7/10 This is one of the "gotta be lucky" battles where you just have to pray your entire party isn't gonna get inflicted with every single status effect known to mankind. I remember redoing this one two or three times. And then making dinner during the supernova animation but what else is new
FF8: Got softlocked at Adel/10. Battle looks annoying as hell though.
FF9: 7.5/10 or also Luck/10. Technically the battle is easy enough once you get in the right rhythm. But there is that little thing that can randomly happen. You know. The party-wide insta death. Fucking bullshit. Wouldn't change it for anything in the world. Adds a whole different layer of stress to that battle. Ilu.
FF10: I never beat Jecht bro idk. It's been 100 years so I don't know what the issue was.
FF12 (PS2): 3/10 Not much happening in that battle but at least it looks cool. I don't mind that it's easy. The 99 floors of Pharos tower with Famfrit at the end are enough. Everything that happens afterwards is baby stuff.
FF13: Disc literally bricks during the final battle/10. I am unable to beat this due to technical difficulties. That said I do not trust in my hypothetical ability to defeat this boss considering it starts with Biblically Accurate Toaster Nr.3 and Toaster 1 and 2 have both been some of the worst pain in the ass I've ever encountered in video gaming. Rating this 10/10 without ever actually having fought it for more than a minute.
I don't know what ff15s final battle is and I only watched 16, but 16 looked like it was 90% cinematic with QTEs so I professionally evaluate it with 2/10 from a distance without ever having pressed a single button in this game

I am cautiously excited about the new dragon age. DA2 is my heart game, and I remember feeling very sad that Inquisition, no matter how much I loved it, had character writing that never meshed with me as well. So I'm not expecting huge world changing things from DAtV but also do get a little kick from all the people saying it's going to be too much like DA2 as if that's a bad thing.
Also while Inquisition was not my favourite, it IS the place where I made Ista and the idea of being able to remake her in the new engine does have me a little emotional. I loved bringing Liadan Hawke into Inquisition, even if it did feel horribly right for her to stay behind in the the Fade (something i still feel like a monster about, ten years later.)
The audio dramas, for all that needing to listen to them gives me flashbacks to when I tried to get into FF15 a few years ago and ended up faced with a whole wall of lore not in the actual game, are very good. They make me want to know more about these characters, and maybe even write about some of them.
And the baby griffon makes me unreasonably happy.

Kh Worldbuilding headcanons: Destiny Islands Edition
No one ever talks about the original worlds in kh and i find that a travesty because these places are a really, REALLY good mine to play around with. (u can also use them or expand on them if you really like)
So im gonna share some HCs i have about the original kh worlds, starting with Destiny islands..... but before that some basics: also this is kinda long so under the read more it goes
In general:
Kh "worlds" arent really floating in space. the stylized icons we see in game are more akin to dimensional rifts rather than actual planets (seriously who thinks this is how the world looks fr)

Following on with the dimensional rift: as the "worlds" arent really pieces of the original world, they are something more akin as parallel dimensions or something along the lines of something like ff14 (mostly because i would rather die first than live in a world with 5 different versions of britain existing at the same time)
As much as dark road is cool, the explanation for the empty worlds is dumb and for the purposes of this exercise, instead ofthe worlds filling the people gradually after it is created, i consider that the worlds as they exist are the result of the surviving children of the war making their stories real in the fractured reality of the original world (it also follows the weird theme of reality/unreality that kh4 seems to go for) and it turning into a different version of earth as we know it, with some exceptions, such as monstropolis (which exists independently as a parallel land to earth in its canon) and Deep space (which is straight up NOT earth and was more like, the rift of lilo and stitch's world pointing at the high counselor's fleet BEFORE the actual movie started) and also the OG worlds who dont have something to be based on for reasons to be explained later.
the only world that exists in the ocean between as it is, is the Keyblade graveyard. because it was so majorly fucked up by the war it both shattered in the physical and dimensional way after it happened.

Now that that rant is out of the way, LETS GO TO THE MOST UNDERRATED WORLD IN THE SERIES:

Destiny islands is in fact, more than 2 islands, being a big archipelago with a bigger "main island" where our three protagonists live at. this one we have seen before in kh2
Destiny islands, is, by far, not the only chain of islands in the world. in fact, theres way more islands beyond the horizon.
We know the islands have a mayor, thus we know that they must have cordial diplomatic ties with different islands near them.
Due to FF characters existing here, i am very tempted to assure that some of the races from ff8 and ffX exist in this world (you are now imagining kimahri playing with a tiny kairi after diplomacy stuff with her dad just ended)
Due to DI being an original world, it is actually a shard of the original world that didnt really changed much compared to the other original ones. its major difference is that it is an ocean world like Wind waker hyrule or the Grand line from One piece
Magic is a real thing in the original worlds populace, you just really need to get good at it, learn it, be magical by default, or cheat and get a keyblade somehow
Religion in the og worlds strike me as something akin to the way people prayed to the aeons of yevon in ffx or the astrals of FF15. with people praying to the ff summons on a case by case basis and depending on their preference for patron gods. Ie: Leviathan being a goddess of the ocean and water who is prayed to by sailors or fishermen, while scholars prefer ifrit using an interpretation of the fire of knowledge. (you know. like a furry prometheus that doesnt get eaten by an eagle daily)
I'll probably go on more detail later, but for now, the summons that get prayed to the most in DI is probably Leviathan for the aforementioned reasons, Ramuh for nature and agriculture reasons, shiva for tradition and combat reasons (related to riku in my particular headcanon) And Titan for economical reasons, wow alex making the rock man into the economy guy i wonder where you have heard it before
Speaking of economy, DI currency totally has tiny paopu fruit symbols in its coins and bills, and its a legal course currency in its neighboring islands because they too dig the paopu fruit symbolism
Munny looks like malleable diamonds because it probably just morphs into the appropate currency depending on the world we're in, moogles only use them as they are because they are both the people doing synthing and also shady as hell. do not trust the pompom people.
Going back to the Paopu fruit: its quite a common tree fruit in the islands and in fact is industrially harvested in some islands both as an export and in-island use.
The paopu folk story is actually mostly just a misconception for an older tale. originally involving sailors and a promise to return home safe. it eventually turned into "sharing one will entwine your fates forever"
Paopu pastries are a common dessert, and paopu wine is used often in weddings.
Monsters ARE real in the islands and roam the most inhabited places. These are often hunt for game and for safety reasons
THAT MEANS, chocobos are also a thing people use in the most rural parts of the islands for fieldwork, transportation and sometimes food.
Blitzball is MAD popular and they Often do tournaments involving several islands. DI itself was almost a perpetual champion up until jecht retired, then they win every so often instead of always
Boating licenses are a thing, but kids can still use their little boats because they have to row them. think like, the difference between a bicicle and a motorbike.
There are bridges for tram systems between islands that are close to each other, usually reinforced for sea and storm reasons.
Legally speaking, equal marriage is a thing and even polyamorous ones because why being an ass about it.
Healthcare is mostly public, but there are Specialty care stuff in the main islands that costs money because of course it is
Because sora and riku are japanese names, i prefer the island to be something like a tropical japan, so most of the people in DI have japanese names.
That would be all for now. tune in next time when i tackle on Twilight town, who may or not be in perpetual twilight (is not)
#kingdom hearts#Kingdom hearts headcanons#shoutout to the sorikai server peeps for enabling this madness#Destiny islands#Sora#Riku#Kairi#worldbuilding#Headcanons#Alex rants about stuff#Alex plays kh#sorikai#that one is tangentially related

Thinking a lot about how Ignis is given a prophetic vision and then immediately after loses his eyesight.
He sees himself, ten years from now, scars down his face, vision clearly gone, and still, still he doesn't hesitate to put on the ring. He knows, without a shadow of a doubt, that his eyesight won't come back, because he's seen it, seen himself, but he still tries to play it off for a while, give the others hope that his disability isn't permanent. How this makes his comment near the end of the game that he can sense light suspect, because we the player know he is 100% willing to lie about these things to make the people around him feel better.
And just. The fact that he also knows without question that their king will return. He has Seen it. The idea of him reassuring the others, burdened as he is with the knowledge of what will come after, that Noctis is coming back, he just Knows it. And he knows it's going to take a long time. Of course, he could use his vision to guess when it starts getting close, could know it by the length of Gladio's hair or Prompto adopting a goatee. But those details are a lot harder to keep track of when one's blind.
And of course, the fact that he doesn't need to see when they open up the door to the throne room, because he already knows what's going to be in there.
#i CANNOT get over ignis being the only chocobro to not talk about what happened to him when he was on his own#prompto barely gets the time but at least he tries#gladio does a full on campfire story#but ignis? actually goes so far as to lie#and the game does nothing to dissuade the player from believing he would go to the grave without ever telling anyone#what the fuck#final fantasy#final fantasy xv#final fantasy 15#ff xv#ff 15#ffxv#ff15#ignis scientia

I'm doing a tag game!
What are your 3 historical gaming moment?
Anything related to videogames: be it achieving the highest score in the arcade, defeating that final boss after 100 tries, winning a PS5 in a raffle, getting a photo or autograph of a VA, cosplaying a videogame character... anything!
Then tag 5 people (minimum) and let's reminisce. Spread some positivity!
🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Here are my 3 personal best (in no particular order)
1.Tekken 3
The first time I truly enjoyed playing a fighting game (I still hate playing PvP in fighting games cuz an actual human is way better at it than me) was when I finally approached a real Tekken pro. A big arcade opened up in my city and I was the only girl who went there every weekend and buy 30 tokens (Php 90.00) to feed the various machines. I saw this tall college dude play King and I was mesmerized watching him pull all of Kings grapples. After several months, I watched him from behind, playing Tekken 3 until I muster up the courage to ask him how he pulled off all his moves. The college dud pulled a piece of paper and pen and began to write down all of Kings' combos and grabs, and gave it to me! Since then I have practiced on every Tekken 3 machine, pulled off all Kings' impressive grapples to a growing audience who couldn't believe their eyes that this little highschool girl is playing Tekken 3 and beating it! Oh and I became good at the games that I reduced my 30 tokens to 5.
2. Resident Evil 2 (PS1)
This game came with the console my mom gave me. First time I popped the disc in and chose Leon S Kennedy on normal mode, I was piled upon by zombies and died. That game over screen traumatized me and I did not pick up RE for months! When I did gave it a second chance, I notice there was a 3rd mode: ARRANGED. It made the game ridiculously easy by giving me all the weapons, and so I plowed through Raccoon City with my machine gun and rocket launcher. It was fun until it wasn't. I decided to play the game on Normal, got eaten and died, then powered through it. Finally beat the game on Normal and Hard. Also went for the S Rank and bonus content. Now I love all horror and survival horror games (Silent Hill, Outlast, Evil Within, etc). It became my favorite genre.
3. The Witcher 3
Had it not for this game, I wouldn't have made The Nilfgaardian Collection or started digital art. I think it was December 2019 (or 16 I dunno, it was Xmas), my brother gave me two choices: TW3 or FF15. I wanted FF15 cuz I have always been a fan of Final Fantasy and TW3 was hyped to the heavens. I wanted to know if the hype was justified and so I got TW3 GOTY edition. The hype... was well deserved! I was hooked, I plat the game, I decided to make fanarts of my fave character (Emhyr) and gave myself a goal: to have the biggest collection of Emhyr and Nilfgaard pics and be known as that crazy chick with an unhealthy obsession to Emhyr and his Nilfgaardian empire. Thus cemented the Nilfgaardian Collection in the fandom!
I taggeth @bittersweetbark, @alphagravy, @rotatingremains, @regis-favorite-raven, @oblakovka, @smehur, @laurikarauchscat, @jawanaka, @traumschwinge, @valandhirwriter

Also wdym Siete cheated on his spouse? You can't just say that and not elaborate
LISTEN. MEANWHILE HE'S ALSO PUTTING ME IN A SITUATION TO CHEAT HERE IT'S A PROBLEM
but also it was like. mutually unrequired? this was so weird
I was stuck in an emotionally abusive home (roll with it don't worry about it) and when someone there threatened me i somehow ended up thinking "i could call the best swordman of the skies and he'd actually wipe the floor with them"
and eventually he showed up unannounced and was :) and challenged said person which was, yay! and then we left together except we all went to serve Prince Noctis from ff15 somehow but we were like, his private guard with also another woman i do not remember, but i know that woman had a crush on Seofon
Anyway so at this point it was pretty platonic and all but at some point we were discussing the politics of the prince and how to make our move to protect him efficiently, and bc of our history we were pretty close and discussing it on a more personal level, not in a superficial way
and i leaned him something to him and our fingers brushed and his touch lingered, and he gently held my fingers like he was holding a hand, electricity passing by, and there he looked up to me with what i could only describe as desperate eyes yearning for a reciprocation. Like he *wanted* it to mean more, begging almost for it to mean more. And i was looking at him with the same intensity, like, it was definitely a Moment.
and then i turned my head and removed my hand as if nothing happened though i was awkward, and he looked sad and disappointed. I think my reasoning was "a friend loves him so i can't do that, even though there COULD be something" and then we went back to discussing and joking around but clearly both of us were no longer cheerful about it.
And then there was more plots about protecting the prince and i remember Seofon getting annoyed when we got split into groups because we weren't working together (and i got in danger in this plotline so he was even more upset when i started to hide what said danger implied, but this part of the dream is blurry)
and I woke up like, what the fuck was this. what the fuck was this.
i didn't even consider the fact that "my friend has a crush on him so that's off limit" being probably my subconscious reminding me to not touch Siete!Anon's man. But this is insane.
Get the fuck out of my dreams, why are you here.

A, M, O, and R from the Fandom Asks! (Right back at you, lol)
Sorry! Totally forgot to do these. Cut for length <3
A - Ships that you currently like a lot?
Right this very second? Arthur Morgan/John Marston (/Charles Smith) has got me in it's teeth. RDR2 is one of the best told stories I've played in a long time and one of the few games I've legit cried over. (FF15 is the only other one that comes readily to mind)
That being said it's fairly easy to draw me back to any of my many fandom ships because I'm a dopamine hound. The tabs I have open are Arthur/John, Sidon/Link and my own OC/Lucanis/Viago fic because I made a new friend who wanted a link.
M - Name a character that you'd like to have for a friend?
................. Bellara? Yeah, Bellara <3 (bluescreened for a sec there, too many fandoms)
O - Choose a song at random, which ship or character does it remind you of?
My Head & My Heart by Ava Max
"My head and my heart are torturing me, yeah Lost my mind in your arms, I go to extremes, yeah When angels tell me run, and monsters call it love, oh-oh My head and my heart are caught in between, yeah"
I bluescreened again so I'll just saaaay Ren/Lucanis in that little snippet of time where Ren was freaking tf out because he realized him and Lucanis were gonna last way longer than any of his other relationships xD
R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favourite in fandom?
Not to bang on about RDR2 but the main character of 2 (Arthur) was taken in by a pair of outlaws - the leader of the gang Dutch and his longtime partner in crime Hosea- and the relationship between the three of them is a knife the game likes to slip into me every now and then. Dutch and Hosea took Arthur in when he was quite young and raised him for the slaughter as pretty much their own and the game makes caring about the gang SO EASY.
To reel back from blorbo-in-law territory the relationship between Dracula and Isaac from Castlevania. It's so complex and twisted and yet wholesome at the same time because they really understand each other? And for Dracula to decide that Isaac (who is one of the few who actually truly sees what he's going through) will not be a casualty of his...? War? I wouldn't call it that but idk what else to call it is just -chefs kiss-
Isaac is bar none one of my favourite characters from that series just because of what we see him go through and grow through.

Hi there? I wanted to say thank you for translating DOTF and so much other FF15 stuff. Having read so much straight from the source, I wonder what your opinion is on Ardyn's background, the people who reject it and those who take it as canon? To me, the discourse feels weird. Is there actually a reason to doubt it happened or did some just not like it?
Hello! Translating the FF15 stuff was a lot of fun and taught me a lot. It was also very funny for me to translate stuff I didn't plan on using in fic, because I kept thinking of

To me, once canon spins off into multiple sources, it becomes a buffet: take what you want, leave what you don't. Otherwise you can do the Star Wars thing and sort stuff into six levels of canon and quasi-canon, but that way madness lies. Especially in a case like FF15, where we've got DLC that contradicts the base game, an AU ending in Episode Ignis, and whatever level of canon "we were gonna make an alternate ending DLC but it got cancelled so here's a book" is.
To me, everything that came after the base game is extra, and you can accept it or not as you want. We're all playing in a sandbox, and not using a particular bucket because you don't like the shape is perfectly valid. A lot of people have imagined backgrounds for Ardyn that are more fun than what the anime and DLC gave us - come on, Square, let him have still been a weirdo even pre-daemon goo - and I love to see them. But if people want to use what Square gave us, I won't judge them for that, either.
Thanks for the ask!

࿇ ══━━━━✥◈✥━━━━══ ࿇
Hello! If you're still reading this, that means you're interested in all the basics I posted above. I'm a 21+F and I don't care what you are. I'm looking to hammer out some bodyguard-esque themed RPs--preferably with a fantasy, supernatural, monstrous or otherwise magical twist. Knights would be so freaking good right now. 😭❤️ But yes--I'd like to play it out where the pair absolutely *cannot* fall in love, for example, the Regis x Clarus ship from FF15. I'm not looking to play out that ship, but if you know, you know.
I'd really love some Prince x Knight, or something along those lines, be it modern day (with Knights still being a thing because lore and world building reasons!) or set in a fantasy world with names that we can actually pronounce, I'm so down for this. If you're looking for hardcore high fantasy with Ageulisk Maximu'sklur as your main character, I'm not sure we'll be a fit. I can do high fantasy, but please don't expect me to invent complicated locations/names for things.
I usually RP every day, but frequency of posts depends on how much I have on my plate and how bad my health is. I'm on a year-long medical leave, so I have tons of time on my hands. Anyways, I'm not opposed to monster shenanigans, with monsters doing the plowing, nor am I opposed to the bodyguard being forced into his position as a slave. The dom character can be either one, I don't care. I prefer my subs to be dynamic characters, not just pretty things to look at who throw themselves at my muses. I can also mumu, if we see fit for the story. Lots of growth here. Potential 🍪 if they're growing up together or with an age gap.
I love me some healthy dose of smut, but if you love storybuilding and plot that comes WITH a healthy dose of smut, then this is the right one for you.
Please like this post if you're interested and I'll get back to you! :)

Wildflower Plateau, the Most Important Spot
Sorry it took a long time to return, although I'm still only slowly going to do so now that I have Rebirth for PC (and can play on ultra settings). I never had my own PS5, so I had to improvise last year to get though it...which was a rushed affair...but now I can do whatever I want.
I played till I got to the Wildflower Plateau and took some pictures. Don't think I mentioned this detail...
The devs purposely designed this area to show you the huge pipe coming from Midgar. The Sector 7 reactor (the only visible numbered one) is on the left of that pipe, meaning that it comes from the Sector 6 reactor, the one Zack fell down into in one of the timelines where Biggs dies.
The Sector 6 pipeline is the one that's featured in the first Kyrie quest ("Lifeline in Peril"). If Zack travels through this pipeline, he will be able to exit it through the leak shown in the quest since it won't be fixed in that timeline. I can't be perfectly sure that's the Sector 6 pipe or if their plans will change a little bit, but it's not the southern pipe at least.
I don't know the exact way Zack gets to the Wildflower plateau though. The "major hint" is the scene in World of Final Fantasy's DLC where Zack is dropped on a bed of flowers by Bahamut on what looks like...a wildflower plateau, and with Serah there to greet him with the whole "...'ngel?" bit. I mentioned it multiple times now...Cloud is mentined as being "Snow's friend" and the conversation derails to it being about him, and then I noticed this scene was connected to FF15's "Terra Wars" DLC by how Noctis does something similar when he wakes up to a "Sarah".
The Junon Tifa quest "Dreaming of Blue Skies" hints at the condor while also combining it with the Remake "Hollow language" (Hollow only plays around the pipes and Wildflower Plateau). Actually, there's no real reason why anything about this quest is about "blue skies" in the first place other than Tifa mentioning it at the end.
The original hint in WoFF involved Bahamut. The monster that takes the cow in this quest seems to be a hint at Bahamut and connects it with the reactor (some of the Sector 6 reactor pipe runs underwater). Also, why is a "Mystic Dragon" rotting? Maybe "caves" can refer to the pipes?
The condor appears in the Intergrade DLC right as well. Note that the Condor is around Midgar and is flying towards "the blue sky". There are even pipes shown in the right shot.
The bottom two pics are the condor in FF7 Rebirth for comparison. So we know the condor goes around Midgar.
The area around the plateau is very large as if something big will happen at this spot at some point, but all we get is a side quest that forces us to get here ("Flowers from the Hill"). This obviously means something will happen here in the next game, and it's connected to Aerith's "flower picking for the orphanage" event from Remake. The spot is expansive, possibly to get the condor through here and drop Zack.
By the way, most people don't know this but Yuffie stands by the Foxtail grass (Tifa - White, Red XIII - Red, Barret - Blue). Don't know about Cait Sith. Everyone takes the quest early, so it was hard to find out what Yuffie does. In Remake, Foxtail was about "surprise", the white ones were loyalty, and the yellows were "reunion".
Loveless explains that the "goddess" will "descend" around what is probably the time when the Weapons come from the earth and wreck havoc. If Sephiroth is doing the FF9 thing where two planets become one in other timelines where mako has run out, then the "planet" will likely be descending over Midgar to replace how Meteor does it in the OG timeline. If that's the case, it's possible that Terra will descend somewhere around Midgar, but I'll see if there's a hint to that detail.
The condor quests also hint at something happening "next time". Yuffie's date does this a lot, so I'm going by that for reference.
That's all for now. See you later.
I do have to say though..."Hollow" is Terra's actual theme from FF6 mixed with "Awakening" and redesigned for FF7 Remake so it sounds difficult to notice unless you compare the songs.

So I've been reading/hearing about a strange argument recently regarding Cloud and Tifa's relationship in the FF7 compilation. It goes something like this: 1) a common trope in Anime and Asian dramas is that the childhood friend competes with a new girl/guy for the male/female lead's romantic interest; 2) the childhood friend usually ends up on the losing end and suffers unrequited love; 3) therefore, Aerith must be the one Cloud chooses in the end since it agrees with that trope.
What I find strange about this argument is that the opposite of 2) is more often the case, at least from the few dozen Asian dramas (Korean and Chinese, mainly) I have watched, where the childhood friends (or at least those with some unknown childhood connection) who secretly/openly like each other (and maybe have a relationship that ends for some reason) end up reuniting years later as adults, and end up together in the end. This sounds exactly like what happens in FF7 for Cloud and Tifa.
For the Final Fantasy series, in particular those that involve romantic subplots involving main characters with either other main characters or guest party members who grew up together, it seems like all of these cases resolve with the childhood friends ending up together romantically. The specific examples I can think of at the moment are:
FF3: Ignus and Princess Sara
FF4: Cecil and Rosa (BTW this has an actual love triangle in the plot as well as the narrative, unlike FF7, which is in narrative only)
FF7: Cloud and Tifa (I mean, it's the plot after all, and their romantic chemistry/tension in the remake trilogy is so obvious that the other party members actively bring it up)
FF8: Squall and Rinoa (this is one is a bit of stretch, but they are loosely connected through their parents' tragic love story)
FF10: Tidus and Yuna (also a stretch, I know, but their parents were close comrades 10 years prior to the story, and Yuna also notes that it must be fate that brought them together)
FF12: Vaan and Penelo (I mean, he says "I'm coming Penelo" in the last scene of the game, Balthier constantly refers to Penelo as "your girl" to Vaan, and it's not like he's going to be with Ashe or Fran at the end)
FF13: Snow and Serah (yes, as nauseating as they are sometimes, and obviously excluding the sequel storylines)
FF15: Noctis and Luna
FF16: Clive and Jill
I mean, nobody would claim that any of these couples are nothing more than ships (FF7 debates aside), as they are all obviously canonical. The point I am trying to make is that the argument laid out above does not seem to hold water for FF7. From the examples I gave, it would seem instead that the FF series is remarkably consistent in having the childhood friends end up together. Just wanted to put my thoughts out there to the world, so they don't keep me up at night...

Crisis Core was your first FF game right? What were your actual frst impressions of Angeal Genesis and Sephiroth?
Technically yes, CC was my first FF game, though I'd watched a playthrough and hadn't actually played the game itself until the Switch port. My FIRST played game was FF7. And I've also played FF8, FF9, FF10, FF6, parts of FF15 and a very clunky Dirge of Cerberus. I'm really looking forward to 16!
Anyway my first impressions were:
Angeal="Diet Mufasa"
Sephiroth="The evil guy from Smash and Kingdom Hearts but he's sad in this"
Genesis="Holy shit shut the fuck up already"
How times have changed lmao little did I know.
