Andre Nikto head canons
We have little information about Niko but here's what I've gathered..
((Also I'd like to kindly add, hi, hello, my name is Mika and I am a Bosnian. The chances of me adding some accurate slav head canons are always high but never low!!🙏🏻 ALSO IM TERRIBLY OBSESSED WITH NIKTO SO IF ENJOY THIS AND YOU WANT DATING NIKTO HEAD CANONS PLEASE LET ME KNOWWW))
Genuine head canons:
Andre Nikto (Никто) is a (scary) Russian military man, roughly 193/194 centimetres (when you compare him to Simon's height) He suffers with acute dissociative disorder (better said DID) yet is still serving the military cause of how he preforms during battle.., so the military still views him as a ideal soldier for combat despite his disorder..
No hate but from what I've seen in some art works claiming it's his "face reveal" you people have to understand that under his mask, his face is disfigured.. so, no he won't be an attractive super model under that mask of his..
I don't think you people are aware how badass Nikto is as a character, almost SIMILAR as Ghost who's in the military for the same reason as everybody else, to risk their life.
Although judging by Nikto's voice lines, he doesn't care who he's killing..if it were up to him, if his teammates serve him zero purpose he'd care less if they die..(after all, you're just a target..) but being a professional, he can't allow that to happen to his teammates
If you look up closely, Nikto wears a military uniform that is different from everyone else with MP-0 written on it. Now if you don't know, MP stands for Military Police (enforcement agencies connected with, or part of, the military of a state.) and zero next to it meaning "nothing" and this is important which is what Nikto refers himself as..
Yeah so about that..
I have a theory about Nikto's nickname
After being captured and brutally tortured with whatever sick tendency mister Z had in store for him. It was Mister Z that couldn't really get much Information about Andre.
They would start torturing him while repeating to Andre that he's nothing, he's no one, what he is is nothing but what he is is everything. Those words play in the back of his head and they never seen to go away.
(This is extremely relevant cause Mister Z tried to get to know a bit of Andre by looking through some research come to find his citizenship and language are censored making him a nobody. Keep in mind, if he found any information about Andre viewing from personal life etc. it will be used as blackmail..)
After recovering his scars and taken to therapy after 7 years he was diagnosed with DID
NOW moving on to the DID part
(What I said about the fact that people overlook Nikto's disorder, I mean it..
Some don't really write about his disorder which is fine but when someone does it gets messy. )
Alters aren't easy to deal with, it's actually gonna haunt you till the day that you die cause there's no cure for it. And in Nikto's case it's from PTSD and Nikto is very aware of his alters..
Let me tell you how Nikto's disorder affects him. Switching can be consensual, forced or triggered, Nikto values silence as much as the next person cause he's dealing with much inside his head already. The kind of guy that would "watch TV" while dissociating with a 100 yard glare with very slow blinking and a slight headache..
There are times where his personalities would correct him when hes referring to himself (example: I'm up..(his personality correctes him) WE'RE up..)
"He made us do this" (and other voice lines I can't recall..)
Maybe cut bits of an apple with a knife and eat it while watching TV..
He has medication prescribed for him but he didn't wanna depend on medications cause they're just drugs..they're nothing to him but just drugs..
He has dissociative amnesia too, sometimes he would wander around confused maybe even annoyed. The amnesia appears to be caused by traumatic or stressful experiences endured or witnessed..Although the forgotten information may be inaccessible to consciousness, it sometimes continues to influence behavior
Like I said he likes quiet people, someone who doesn't waste their air on small talk..
Example; don't really talk to him about the weather, unless you have something interesting to say but if the conversation is gonna go nowhere , don't talk..he finds that a waste of time
People assume just because he's Russian that he likes vodka, he doesn't like vodka...-He doesn't like any alcoholic beverage cause it makes his problems a lot worse,...maybe If you were lending him some as an offering, he'll take it but he has SOME self control, he's okay with coffee, though..
It's relevant cause he stays awake at late hours since he finds it difficult to sleep, he'll stay up late with no music, nothing, just a silent room. It doesn't matter if he tries the military tactic where you just close your eyes and turn off your thoughts, it's very different when you have voices screaming inside your head...
Despite everything he's still intelligent, so being smart + strength + sharp reflexes and you got yourself a criminal
Death doesn't phase him, but to him death is like sleeping, he's not scared of death considering that he's been through hell those past few months.
He likes the simple things, don't complicate anything..because he's quick with catching an attitude..be blunt and forward and stumble over your words..
Nikto shows confidence in the battlefield, just like König, except he has a high rush of adrenaline and will laugh at the enemies death.
Fun fact: in this one comic Price calls Nikto "psycho"
And it's without a doubt that he is one.., a sadistic, sociopathic, psychopath
After splitting, his alters can and will get more aggressive and do more harm and damage to others cause they're doing the most at protecting the host.. (depending on the alter, some wanna protect him while some wanna hurt him)
Oh by the way about the intelligence part, I mean he has a good good memory with remembering faces..
He doesn't like people looking at him funny, he'll get angry really fast and annoyed at the same time.., he won't show hesitation when it comes to approaching you and asking you what are you looking at (it's like trying to avoid eye contact with a homeless man Infront of a store, that's how scared you would be)
He's slow with jokes or any form of humor that you throw at him??? You'll be excited to tell him a joke, and when you do he just looks at you and tells you never to do that again..,or just straight up tell you he doesn't get it...??? and probably trying to explain it either he gets it or not he'll still tell you that it's not funny
He doesn't argue, or he does? Arguing with him will costs you avoiding getting objects thrown at you so you can get out of his sight..tragic, now you have a teammate that hates your guts and won't apologize for it.

with all this gotham war stuff (most recently the comic sc you posted on your twt with jason and bruce), can u explain what is actually going on? like, i’m not that far so i haven’t read it, but… like is it actually bruce saying all that stuff about the kids? or is it this zur person people keep talking about?
oh my friend, it's crazy around here, but i will try my best to explain it!
A GUIDE TO UNDERSTANDING WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO BATMAN IN GOTHAM WAR:
firstly, the comic reading list to catch up with gotham war is: as of 01/10/23 (the ones in italics are core issues to the story)
for some background on what happens leading up to gotham war:
Batman (2016) #125-136
(Optional) Knight Terrors: Batman
(Optional) Knight Terrors: Catwoman
and then the actual gotham war story:
Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War - Battle Lines
Batman (2016) #137
Catwoman (2018) #57
Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War - Red Hood #1
this is everything that is out right now, but from the third of october to halloween we will also be getting: Batman #138, Catwoman #58, Gotham War: Red Hood #2, Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War - Scorched Earth.
secondly... who is Zur En Arrh.
Zur En Arrh taking over Bruce, Batman (2016) #126
zur en arrh, in the simplest way of explaining, is this alter ego/personality (it's unclear) bruce created for himself should batman (bruce wayne) ever be psychologically compromised or brainwashed. it's not him, but a more sadistic and crueler person that is the "ultimate batman" who doesn't care about anyone or anything but getting the mission done.
during Batman #125-130, zur takes over the role of batman because bruce was losing very badly to the robot Failsafe (which is zur's own creation, that bruce has no memory of making). after getting vaporised by failsafe and sent travelling through dozens of alternate universes, losing his hand and fighting a flying shark (Batman #131-135), bruce returns to gotham incredibly mentally unstable.
During a peaceful dinner with his family, Bruce suddenly imagines the entire world on fire, Batman (2016) #136.
during everything, bruce managed to mentally fight back and kind of... merge their ideals together in order to survive and win in the moment.
and then successfully trapping failsafe back into his mind where he can no longer take over!
Bruce uses some sort of mental technique to lock Zur away in his mind, Batman (2016) #136.
except he didn't succeed! at all!
you see, when travelling through all those universes, bruce somehow brought back every single version of zur en arrh with him. now all of then combined, plus his already deteriorating and weak mental health from the last few years, bruce is currently operating under the impression that he's locked zur away, when he actually hasn't.
zur is the one partly, or even entirely, in control. right now, he's just pretending to stay locked away so bruce continues to do what he thinks is 'right' despite them being incredibly out of character for the run.
During his eight week coma, Bruce sees Zur 'locked away' and he is, apparently, not alone, Gotham War: Battle Lines (2023)
an example is when zur referred to robin as batman's solider, bruce mentally fought back to make it clear that tim was his son. but then, a few issues later, bruce refers to his children as his soldiers and that they've all betrayed him, implying that zur has always had control and isn't locked away.
Bruce and Zur get into a fight inside his mind about Robin [Tim Drake], Batman (2016) #127
so yeah, zur is not bruce! they're both batman, but zur en arrh is like his somehow unimaginably even worse twin. if you're interested more in him, i would suggest giving his character history a read! be warned it gets changed A LOT and is definitely not everyone's cup of tea (personally i hate him and need him shelved for another forty years).
now that that's all done and explained, the current state of gotham war is Bruce (thinks he's okay) fighting everyone else (except Damian) because in his (Zur's) point of view, they're all against the mission and therefore are now his enemies (he's lost his mind). totally not convoluted.
to answer your original question, yes, this is all bruce saying and doing these things but he is being HEAVILY influenced by Zur. we can't tell for certain how much of this is bruce and how much is zur, but we can definitely prove zur is partially or completely controlling him again.
even jason points it out after bruce implants that fear toxin chip into him in Batman (2016) #138:
like we can see the intention is to keep jason out of this, because compared to everyone else, jason was the most directly opposed to bruce. but zur is twisting how this concern gets expressed, since forcing jason into feeling fear everytime he gets an adrenaline rush is hardly the reformation bruce is usually encouraging. the other batfam members also talk about how uncharacteristically violent bruce is being.
"He's out of control." / "He's gone [In more ways than one.]" Batman (2016) #137
as the story progresses we see more and more of zur replace bruce, but because he can't have bruce trying to stop him again, zur is playing along and convincing bruce he's locked away. so really, bruce is at war with not only his entire family, but also his own mind. just another average tuesday for batman. he's being tricked and is unknowingly doing exactly what he was trying to prevent.
to understand what the actual war in gotham war is, give the comics listed above a read! if you find the story boring/ridiculous/stupid, don't worry, it is! the social commentary leaves a lot to be desired, as does most of the characters writings (especially selina's).
bruce and his one sided battle with zur is sort of an overarching story happening alongside it (along with a bunch of other ongoings. i don't even understand how detective comics and batman and robin are going to tie into this once it starts up again).
sorry the answer isn't a simple one, but unfortunately nothing is ever simple with bruce. also apologies in advance if any of the future gotham war comics come out and completely debunk all of this! who knows what will happen in this dramatic family drama.
#bruce wayne#gotham war#dc meta#saki anons#saki comic talks#i have such a toxic relationship with this run#i have nothing but complaints and hate for it#but its so terrible i cant wait to see how it all crash and burns#the most “it gets worse before it gets better” storyline for batman i have EVER seen

Helpful lists of questions for goyim when it comes to engaging with the Israel-Hamas war 🙂
QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF WHEN A POST ABOUT THE ISRAEL-HAMAS WAR CROSSES YOUR DASH AND YOU WANT TO REBLOG IT:
Does this post link to a source?
If the post does link to a source, is it a credible one?
If the post does not link to a source, is there one screenshotted in the post that you can find? If so, please search out that source and read the entire thing in context. And make sure the source is credible. Ideally, if you decide to reblog it, add a link to the source.
Is the post just screenshots of tweets? If so, you probably should not reblog this. Posts that are just screenshots of tweets are a massive red flag. Do not believe something because it's a twitter screenshot. Frankly this rule is for everyone about everything all the time.
What is the tone of the post? Does it make you angry? If yes, this is a red flag. Exercise caution reblogging.
Does the post frame Israel as a uniquely evil country in need of destruction? Does the post treat Israel with different standards than those that are applied to every other country that has done horrible, horrible things, such as Russia, the UK, or United States? This is a red flag. If the government of Israel falls without some sort of transition plan, there will be Jewish genocide. Anyone advocating for a one-state solution either way is advocating for one group to get genocided. A two-state solution is the only possible peaceful end to this conflict (technically my opinion but I feel comfy stating it as fact).
Does the post treat Hamas as anything other than a terrorist organization? Do not reblog.
Is the post promoting Jewish Voice for Peace/JVP? Do not reblog. That organization is not Jewish and is antisemitic.
What is the focus of the content of the post? Is the post discussing reasonable paths to a ceasefire/peace? Is the post criticizing Israel's actions without using antisemitic stereotypes? Netanyahu is a disgusting fascist who I hate, but even though he is a terrible person you are not allowed to portray him as an antisemitic caricature. Similar to how you don't get to misgender shitty trans people, you don't get to be antisemitic towards shitty Jewish people (even if he's really, really shitty).
How does the post use the word "zionist?" Does the word have any coherent meaning in the post besides "person (often Jew) that I hate?" Does it treat zionists as a group of people who are disgusting and deserve to be murdered and/or raped? Does the use of the word "zionist" completely dehumanize the person/people the label is applied to into nothing more than evil that the Earth must be rid of? This is antisemitic. Do not reblog.
QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF WHEN YOU'RE AT A PRO-PALESTINE PROTEST:
Are people chanting antisemitic slogans such as "globalize the intifada" and/or "from the river to the sea" (these are both antisemitic you cannot remove the antisemitic meaning from them, they are both advocating for the murder of Jewish people, sorry, stop using them.)?
Are people comparing themselves to Palestinians in Gaza? (this is not a joke, I saw a video of a Columbia student who compared Columbia sending out fliers to leave or be suspended to the IDF dropping flyers in Gaza saying "the army is coming in 24 hours.") If so, they care more about fetishizing Palestinian pain and making themselves feel like noble victims than the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Are people harassing Jews? This includes: preventing them from getting to class, yelling things at them like "go back to Poland," and/or physically assaulting them.
Are people defacing Jewish property/monuments? Are people defacing synagogues? Businesses with known Jewish owners? Statues and/or memorials of/for Jews?
What is the purpose of this protest? Would you feel comfortable sharing opinions that differ from the majority? Would you feel comfortable engaging in a conversation about this issue with fellow protesters? Are any of you actually educated on the complicated and lengthy history of the Israel-Palestine conflict? Is the protest about a peaceful solution, or is it just making you angrier and/or more upset? Does the protest/your fellow protestors care more about freeing Palestine so that Palestinians and Israelis can live in peace, or about hating Israel and treating it like a uniquely evil country?
If people are chanting antisemitic slogans, harassing Jews, and/or defacing Jewish things, then this is an antisemitic protest. Do you want to be associated with these people and this protest? If your answer is yes, you are an antisemite-sympathizer, which is basically an antisemite.
MORAL OF THE STORY: antisemitism is all over this issue and it's easy to get more antisemitic and spread antisemitism because bad actors use this issue to indoctrinate people who start off just genuinely caring about the issue but are not educated at all about it or what antisemitism actually looks like. BE CAREFUL. All Jews want, all we've ever wanted, is to be left alone to do our thing. Random Jews are not at fault for the horrific actions taken by the Israeli government since the terrorist attack on October 7th. We support the existence of Israel, but we do not support all of the current government's actions. We are just trying to live. We want there to be a ceasefire now. If you actually read this whole thing, thank you. It means a lot to be listened to.
For those of you that made it to the end, I'll offer one last reminder and one last gentle suggestion.
My last reminder is: "it is not your job to finish the work by neither are you free to ignore it" is a Jewish passage I really like. I think in times like these, it is important to focus on the first half. It is not your job to finish the work. The fate of Palestine does not rest on your shoulders. It's ok. Take time to decompress and log off.
My last suggestion is: one of the biggest Jewish values is "tikkun olam," which means "repairing the world." I think all action when it comes to this conflict (and life in general) should be done with tikkun olam in mind. It doesn't hurt to ask yourself "is this action repairing the world, or further tearing it apart?" no matter what you're doing. Thank you for reading.

we're long overdue for a catch-up, you and me.
let's get a bite to eat.
my father used to bring me here when i was a kid. he paid me to keep my elbows off the table.
you think they're wondering if it's really me?
what did the gazette call me?
if only i'd been a dutiful daughter.
are you nervous?
i'd hate for you to feel nervous around me.
despite what you might think, i don't blame you.
how do you know about his plan, and why on earth would you pitch it as your own?
he's keeping us both in the dark, and i don't know why.
he's got a penchant for drops. and booze and gambling. i'm pretty sure he's got a sеx thing, too.
i was actually drowning my sorrows with my lady friend last night.
i doubt anything will turn up, but it's worth a shot.
i'm probably just being crazy.
thanks for lunch, i'll get the next one.
you know. people underestimate you, but not me.
i've always known you were capable of more.
scan the code. see gotham's true face.
get the fuck outta here.
i ain't never taken anyone here before.
what're you doing here?
what do you mean what am i doing here? i came to see you.
i got you something. come here.
what did you do?
wait. was i expecting you?
we're gonna leave town for a while.
someone's here.
will you tell me first what i did to lose your respect?
it ain't safe for you here. you understand?
why'd you shoot him?
now, can we go please?
it was impulsive. it was stupid. is that what you wanna hear?
jesus, i'm trying to take care of you.
i can't risk it.
i can't risk you.
look at me.
don't you see, dear? what you did wasn't impulsive. it was instinctual.
you're so close now to having everything you ever wanted, everything you deserve.
this city is meant to be yours, sweetheart.
i've been where you are.
they don't even know what they got, 'cause they always had it.
i wanna offer my services to you and your family.
oh, you wanna throw stones?
from where i sit, and where you sit, i don't think you're in a position not to hear me out.
i could give you everything you need.
revenge don't come easy.
he was a dirty rat.
he played us both for fools.
but he's dead, and i'm here now, and i'm offering you the opportunity of a lifetime.
i know a lot more than people think.
you and me, we can tear down their fսcking empire from the inside out.
what is it you're really after?
i know who you are. i know what you are.
i don't work with people whose loyalty is for sale.
you think i forgot all the times you schmoozed me and my boys just to turn around and fսck us?
look, i can see you're upset. trust takes time. but this ain't bullshit.
it's good seeing you. you look good.
it's a terrible feeling, isn't it?
i just wonder how you see me.
that's what you wanted, right?
you are so good at talking your way out of things.
it's just you and me now, okay?
am i crazy?
tell me that i'm too emotional, and that i have an overactive imagination, and that i shouldn't take things so personally.
what the fuck is this?
you did good today.
didn't we agree the head alone would be the most poetic, and the pinky, the cherry on top?
yeah. at least (blank) got the message.
from here on out, there's no more playing it safe.
i'm gonna run this goddamn city.

i agree with you about being frustrated with how often this fandom has top/bottom discussions but its a pretty common talking point in most fandoms so YR isn’t special for that
No I totally agree with you that it’s a common topic of discussion in a lot of fandoms, but there’s a particular way we have it in this fandom that really grinds my gears.
And don’t get me wrong, I don’t care if you hc Wilmon to be vers or if you think Wille tops or Simon tops or whatever - it’s the justification and reasoning that I’m seeing behind these headcanons that I find deeply irritating and, frankly, insulting and kind of homophobic.
This is going to get long so forgive me.
1. I’ve seen so many posts talk about how the show is “brave” and “subversive” by having Wille go down on Simon or potentially bottom, but like - what the hell are we even talking about? In what world is it subversive to show a queer character having queer sex?? What are we subverting?? This show has never shown us anything with its intimate scenes other than two guys that are deeply in love and really horny for eachother and I hate that we keep bringing this shit up!!!
2. I’ve also seen people say that it was very important for us to see Wille moving to go down on Simon in the tape in S1 because it’s “more damning evidence that he’s queer” and otherwise Wille could’ve just said he was horny and desperate but he was actually imagining he was with a girl in his denial statement. But be so fucking forreal, in what world is that a thing he could argue in an official statement to the press? He’d be the laughing stock of the world.
Wilhelm isn’t more or less gay because he went down on Simon vs the other way around. He’d still be having queer sex because he’s having sex with another guy. Arguing that the framing here is for anything other than a plot device so Wille’s face wouldn’t be visible to set up the denial is actually kind of ridiculous.
As someone very smart on here said, “I’m sorry that you apparently have a tier list of sex acts ranging from “kinda straight” to “Gaylord” 😭😭 get well soon, couldn’t be me.”
Imagine for one second Simon was the one giving Wille head? Would you have criticized the show for that?? And WHY?!
3. Next: saying that Wilmon’s relationship is “equal” because you think they’re vers is…a take and a half lmao. What the fuck does being vers have to do with a relationship being equal?? Why are we assigning arbitrary hierarchies to sexual preferences??? Why are we implying that topping and bottoming are somehow not equal and you have to carefully balance both, when, ideally, it’s just whatever the fuck everyone is into???
Wille isn’t selfish for topping. Simon isn’t sacrificing anything by bottoming. They’re fucking because they’re in love and they want to 😭
TLDR: Wille doesn’t suck Simon’s dick for class liberation. Simon riding Wille isn’t a commentary on how he’s “girl-coded.” It’s just sex, leave them alone to have a good time and stop assigning agendas to queer sex.
#ask#this got long and crass and I’m NOT sorry#I stole this response from a convo I had with someone in the DMs so ty for your contributions to this post bestie you know who you are#but I could not bite my tongue for any longer#young royals

I don't really like endhawks and it's not so much because of the age gape or the fan/idol relationship (la brava and gentle have some age gape and bakudeku are the pure description of fanatization/idolization trope and I like both of those ships), but more because endeavor literally embodies what Hawks hate the most.
Hear me out on this one, they have cute interactions but for me the fact that Hawks stayed by endeavor's side even knowing what he did to his children is kinda out of character. I mean the whole thing why keigo wanted to be a hero was to help people and make them smile because he went through abusive behavior all his life. Endeavor do save people but doesn't make them smile, not directly anyway. Hawks wanted to help the new generation, but endeavor traumatized the generation he gave birth to. Hawks wanted to be free, but endeavor stole freedom from his children (at least until he becomes number 1 and shoto comes to UA).
I understand hawks forgiving and accepting endeavor even after what he did, because hawks is so optimistic that he wants to believe eveyone can change for the better, but I don't understand him staying by endeavor's side. I mean, how traumatic would it be to discover that your idol who saved you and gave you a dream to follow did the exact same things as the person who traumatized your childhood? I see some narrative problems here. Or maybe it's just that hawks is too optimistic for his own good.
The thing is, I think Hawks so desperately needed a symbol to give him hope that he didn't even try to look more profoundly into endeavor's mistakes. Like he tried so hard to convince himself. Here we can see that hawks says he could keep up with training and abuse by the commission because someone supported him, probably implying endeavor. But it wasn't even true, hawks just chose to idealize enji because he saved him, but enji didn't know hawks before metting him as a hero, so he couldn't actually support him in his dream. I know it's only metaphoric, but it does mean that Keigo just needed something, someone to hold onto because of all the suffering he went through. And he chose endeavor, who was the only person indirectly "caring" for him.
Now maybe it's because I adore Hawks and I hate endeavor (the man and his actions, not the way he's written), but I can't imagine them in a romantic relationship. How could Hawks give his trust and love to the exact same profile as his father? How could they live together without hawks remembering the abuse? I think that even enji himself wouldn't trust his own reactions and feelings, hunted by the past. "The past never dies", and it's true for everyone in this story.
Look how similar they are. Honestly I don't really understand horikoshi on this one because if he wanted to give enji a loyal sidekick, then why give Hawks an abusive father?
Or if horikoshi wanted to give us grumpy x playful duo, then do it with dabihawks? They had so much potential to be our favorite bickering duo, and their drama would've been so good if they both knew each other before touya's death, became close during hawks undercover mission and then went through a heartbreaking breakup during touya's reveal.
(look at them they could've been soo good as a grumpy x playful duo aah)
Instead, we got Hawks indirectly supporting the same abuse he went through and the destruction of dabihawks' potential with the biggest absence of interactions ever after the first war.
(Also I want to add that I respect everyone's opinion and I don't hate endhawks shippers at all! It's just my point of view on the ship, everyone is free to ship whoever they want if that stays legal 🙏)
Maybe I'm going too far into the analysis (someone stop me please I'm talking too much-), but I really think that endhawks couldn't work, for hawks as much as for enji. Now the interesting thing to ask would be : would dabihawks actually work in a romantic relationship? I guess we'll never know.
#hawks just needed someone to help him#his character is actually so tragic#i love him so much you don't understand#can i please rewrite mha ending for him#i love analysing dabihawks#my hero academia#mha#dabi and hawks#dabihawks#endeavor#bnha hawks#bnha#mha dabi#mha endeavor#mha enji#analysis#hawks#keigo takami#touya todoroki#enji todoroki#todoroki family#endeavor and hawks

Hi!! I just want to start by saying thank you so much for sharing your writing with us! I check your blog everyday to see if you’ve updated and love reading what you post! 💙
In light of the season finale, I was wondering if you could do some romantic headcanons in which f!reader finally approaches Vox (after a long slowburn of mutual pining between them, though neither knows how the other feels until now) and tells him he deserves better than whatever unhealthy on-again-off-again thing he has going with Valentino? And perhaps suggests (or outright says) how she would actually take care of him/treat him better? 🫣 I would LOVE to see your take on it! Only the best for everyone’s favorite TV man lol!
Thank you so much in advance if you choose to do it, I hope that’s all clear! Please take care of yourself and have a wonderful day!
Vox X Reader [Romantic]
In which you decide its finally time to step inbetween Vox and Valentino. Reader is female.
The most feared assistant in all of hell, you certainly were one of a kind when it came to sinners
The Vees had taken you in as their head assistant, close enough to be a fourth member but far enough to be uninvited to galas, showings, and all the celebrity events
It was your ideal position; you made plenty of money to get by
Class without the hass(le) as you always put it
Your job was hard, but it was nothing you couldn't handle; all it took was knowing it and predicting the hiccups
Besides Valentino, the other two were very relaxed with you and usually only demanded that you do things that were typical of your day
And being around them so much, you naturally became an honorary member; you'd especially spent plenty of time at Vox's side
He was the hub of communication, and he offered up a space for you to call an office in his own area of the building
Not only did that mean the others could easily reach you since you were always around Vox, but it also meant you always had an upgraded space, courtesy of Vox's constant innovations
He was always so peculiar; you could tell he didn't like being around people, yet he always called for you to pick up lunch with him
Or he brought you to meetings to 'take notes' despite the fact that he could transcribe every conversation in a second
To him, he was showing that he enjoyed his company; to you, it was an opportunity to get to know him better
Admittedly, you wanted to know a lot more about him—no, you wanted to know everything
Unfortunately, the more time you spent with him, the more you'd end up being around Valentino, who always called on Vox during his fits of rage
It was confusing
Vox expressed hating him, but also tripped over every step just to appease the overlord
And Valentino took advantage of that a lot, which caused a boiling anger to eat at you
But you knew your place; you knew Vox was an adult who could stop himself, so you bitterly witnessed it
But as you and Vox got closer and Valentino got rougher with Vox, it became impossible to ignore
After hearing a screaming fit from his office, you could make out Valentino's heels stomping out the door towards the elevators, and after a good moment of silence, you heard Vox follow
But you stood up this time, and right as the overlord passed your door, you caught his arm
" Can't talk right now. "
" He isn't worth your time, Vox, sir. "
You certainly didn't waste any time, and in a moment he went from pulling his arm away to stopping in his tracks to look at you with a surprised look scribbled on his face
You felt guilty knowing that he was only surprised because you'd never tried to help him before; he must have thought you were a terrible person, but you continued
" I don't get what you see in him when there are already people who love and care for you far more than he ever has all around you. "
While you started strong, your voice eventually tappered off into mumbles, already losing the confidence you thought you had when you started initially
The silence is deafening
Until he lets out a long exhale and slumps
" You're right, I shouldn't get so worked up. But Jesus, I didn't expect that out of you. "
He was already trying to bring in humour to laugh it off, but you were more glad that he didn't take your actions as negative
" Just so you know, I'm sure I can show you what you deserve "
You couldn't help it with his validation; you had to get it out, and he seemed to pause again—before a bluescreen came up
Oh no, oh no, you immediately called for him and snapped your fingers, hoping to shake him out of it, and with a quick reboot, he was back to ask if you meant it
And of course you did, and of course he wanted to take you up on the offer
As happy as he is, Vox is frustrated that he didn't ask you first; he's usually the first move kind of guy—or at least he swears
But he trusts you will treat him better because he's always wanted you to
Author's Note - Tell me why I went so hard on the lore that this ended up being 700 words I am so sorry!!! I'm glad you like my work, I really hope I did your request justice!!! Again, idk why I went so crazy on the buildup ahhh

Hi! Can you do a concept for yandere Starlight from The Boys please?
She's one of the more genuine characters... so seeing her go down this path is so strange.
Yandere! Starlight/Annie January Concept
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Mentions of death, Violence, Overprotective behavior, Lucid yandere, Jealousy, Dark themes, Trust issues, Delusional behavior, Stalking, Gaslighting, Blackmail, Denial, Guilt, Kidnapping, Dubious turned forced companionship/relationship.
Out of everyone in this universe... she isn't the worst.
In fact, she'd probably be the one most aware of her behavior other than Hughie... and actively feel guilty about it.
Compared to most Supes she actually wants to help people.
Most Supes, like Homelander, usually don't mind casualties.
She actively tries to avoid the deaths of others unless it's necessary....
Annie knows the corruption of this world.
Which makes her determined to follow her own ideals.
Since she is so fixated on doing the right thing... imagine the conflict she has when she realizes she's obsessed with someone?
I imagine her feelings would have to be subtle enough to not make her realize her true nature right away.
Maybe you start as friends? It doesn't matter if you're a Supe or not....
Annie/Starlight would feel comforted by someone who listens and understands her problems in Vought.
Just being there to listen to her rant about how she feels she's being used as Starlight helps more than you know.
The point is, she just sees you as a friend at first.
Annie definitely needs friends in this world.
In the show she doesn't have many she can trust, even Hughie lies to her at times.
In fact... trust would be a big part of her obsession.
Annie can be very friendly, relaxed, fun-loving, and caring towards those she's close with.
With you, her obsession, these are all traits she commonly feels she can express towards you.
Because she trusts you as her friend, she's often very comfortable with you.
She's someone who's tired of being lied to... especially in later seasons.
She knows very well that there aren't many people she can afford to trust.
She cherishes the bond and trust she has for you, she wouldn't break it for the world.
But if you broke her trust?
The betrayal would drive her into angry denial.
Even when her behavior gets worse and worse... she still expects trust between you.
She despises the idea of being used/lied to.
Especially by you.
For the most part, Annie's obsession develops slowly.
It's just... small things.
Her obsession is subtle enough that she tries to justify it.
Girl has been through so much she's trying to rationalize her odd feelings for you.
She follows you around because she feels she has to protect you.
Yet she also excuses it as her trying to stay out of the public eye for a little while.
She hates being lied to... but in her mind, what she says isn't entirely lies.
As you can tell... her delusions also make her a hypocrite.
She excuses her lying as she's not using you like she was used...
She's just looking out for you.
Following you and being close to you all the time for your safety is something she manages to essentially gaslight herself into thinking.
If you also felt it was suspicious, she'd probably gaslight you into believing her too.
She still does it even when she realizes her feelings are wrong.
Speaking of which, Annie begins to be more aware of how wrong her feelings are once she feels... jealous.
This may also be where she learns her feelings aren't... friendly towards you.
She brushes it off at first....
Like most yanderes in denial, she just thinks her jealousy will go away.
After all... you both have your own lives to attend to... which means you have other friends...
....
Okay, she'll admit it, she feels upset when she sees you so close to others.
Upset probably isn't even the right word for it.
Part of it could be envy at the fact you can enjoy life without so much stress... another part of it is just yearning for your attention.
When you two are around more, she finds herself slowly coming to terms with the idea of her being in love.
Which sends her spiraling....
No, this can't be love, can it?
It feels too wrong....
Annie hates the idea of caging you to her side... yet also revels in it.
She's in denial and despises her thoughts.
Even if she did confess and you started dating, she still thinks back to those darker thoughts she keeps trying to hide.
In fact, you actually dating would be normal until she snaps.
It's all... normal.
On the surface.
Annie would be a very caring and affectionate girlfriend when you two are together.
But she can't help but feel something darker lurk deep within her.
It always bubbles up when she sees you with others, or even during little dates around people.
One reason she hates her dark feelings is because it reminds her of Homelander.
She hates him and hates the idea of being like him.
She doesn't want to hurt you... she never wants to hurt you.
While that darkness is similar to Homelander... She isn't like him.
Hopefully... in her mind....
Annie would be forced to give in to her darker feelings when she defects from Vought.
When she's with The Boys, she's moved past her denial.
She's done some pretty brutal things now... including kill people with her power.
So kidnapping you isn't something she does with much hesitation now.
When she defects she barely gets to see you.
Which leads to Annie convincing The Boys you can help them...
Making you forcefully reunite with your girlfriend.
While I imagine Annie isn't that bad compared to most... she's definitely still capable of some downright horrendous stuff.
I'm talking manipulation tactics due to her charisma...
If you were a Supe or involved in some pretty bad stuff, I can see her blackmailing her own partner to make them stay.
Same thing with gaslighting... she deludes both you and herself into believing what she does is okay.
Well... right up until the kidnapping.
In terms of murder, like in the show, she'd only do it if you were in danger.
She manages to convince herself not to kill out of jealousy, no doubt due to fearing she'll be like Homelander.
But she's certainly bitter around others who are close to you.
In terms of your time in captivity, Annie still tries to be your protective and caring girlfriend.
She no doubt convinced The Boys to take you into their newest hideout, feeling bad when you look so scared...
Yet Annie quickly enters the room to comfort you, cupping your face before telling you how much she missed you.
She never wants to hurt you, in fact she's nothing but affectionate when you're under her care.
She keeps you locked in her arms, giving you soft little kisses as she calms you down.
She tells you she had to keep you beside her.
If she didn't, Vought might've used you to track her and The Boys.
Another potential lie... but it could be true, yeah?
Annie still wants you to trust her.
She doesn't want you to try and leave her, or to purposefully lie to escape.
She wants you honest, she wants you to be transparent with her.
If you aren't, she denies the idea at first...
Then soon realizes she may need to make you reliant on her if she wants that trust back. (I'm talking burns from her power or even blinding you... that light shines BRIGHT)
Her lies are not to use you... but keep you safe.
Her whole obsession started because you two had a strong bond of trust between one another.
Ironically, her attempts to keep your trust only sours the trust you once had for her.
She hates it when you look at her with such hatred and confusion.
She wants to tell you it will all be okay...
Annie will protect you like she always has...
It's just you, her, and The Boys against the world.
She loves you, that much is genuine and true.
Yet she can't hide those dark feelings anymore.
Annie never wants to hurt you...
But she'll do anything to keep you safe, reliant, and all hers.

Reminder yuji's grandpa told yuji to help people even if they DONT WANT TO. YUJI saved sukuna
Hi, anon. You're so right. I'm so obsessed with this chapter that it's making me sick...
From the very start, Yuuji has been the only one to show Sukuna empathy or compassion. As I've written before, everyone else makes their "declaration of love" into competition to force Sukuna to see things their way, to try to make him submit to them, but Yuuji has been so intimate and open, so gentle, with the King of Curses like no one else has.
During chapter 265, he took Sukuna on a literal scenic tour of all his childhood memories. Sukuna actually goes along with this, without being overly hostile or mocking... which is a really interesting and unexpected thing for his character to do!!! It indicates to me that, if even only subconsciously and even if he hates it, Sukuna actually respects and cares about this brat. He's willing to listen to him, to hear him out, to even indulge him by doing whatever the brat asks him to do together like archery or fishing... all things that if anyone else asked the King of Curses to do, he would more than likely kill them on the spot for their insolence.
Ever since then Yuuji has been owning Sukuna completely. He's gotten under that cursed skin far too deep for Sukuna's liking...
Their fight scene from 266 really illustrates this well.
Call it what you want, but to me this scene just confirms that Sukuna is blatantly denying his own feelings. To react that strongly to Yuuji's sympathy and pity... to feel like it's nothing more than Yuuji looking down at him... Sukuna is scared of being seen as anything other than an inhuman, unfeeling monster of chaos; he can't stand that Yuuji - someone he sees as weaker, someone who lived alongside him, someone he made suffer - is still being merciful and willing to give Sukuna a second chance of sorts.
Sukuna claims that he knows what love is, has told Kashimo that it's because he "understands love" that he finds it meaningless. But in actuality, Sukuna doesn't understand love - he understands the lack of it.
Which is what makes Yuuji's approach to finally teaching Sukuna love all the more interesting, because he is literally trying to remedy that lack of love, to fill that void in Sukuna's life up.
In chapter 268, we see Sukuna in a very pathetic, cornered position. He's literally at Yuuji's mercy.
Yuuji is standing over Sukuna, more than capable of ending things for good. He's gotten Megumi back already, so he technically has no reason to keep Sukuna alive. He can choose to take all his more-than-justified hate out on Sukuna.... but he doesn't.
Instead... he shows Sukuna just how far his love and compassion can go. He reaches down, so tenderly when Sukuna doesn't deserve it, and cups the monstrous King of Curses in his hands, so softly.
Sukuna is literally dying in Yuuji's hands. Instead of mocking him, or making him suffer, as one of the other "strongest" people would do, Yuuji is instead reaching out to him.... yet again!
He basically says "I see you, Sukuna. I understand that if our circumstances we're different, we could very well have had the same fate or still been the opposites of each other. But I accept the way things have turned out for us - I accept you. We can live together because I care about you even if no one else does."
Yuuji has suffered in Sukuna's own hands, but Yuuji cradles Sukuna in his. Yuuji been called weak, pathetic, and useless by Sukuna. But still he stands. After everything Sukuna has done... Yuuji hasn't broken. In fact, he believes in his ideals more than ever. He's extending that mercy to Sukuna when anyone else would have killed him. He's being so softly intimate with him.
That is what makes Yuuji so strong, truly stronger than everyone else. He doesn't give in, he doesn't break down, he doesn't become hopeless and shattered. He's as kind, caring, and loving as ever.... Sukuna can't take it.
This tsundere bitch is literally dying instead of accepting Yuuji's marriage proposal. Can't handle his own feelings for real.
What's really interesting to me is how Sukuna uses Yuuji's full name here, too. In the past, he always referred to Yuuji as "brat" and so many other demeaning names, but now... now he's admittedly recognizing Yuuji as someone with worth, even saying "I should congratulate you."
He is mistaken though. I think he knows that Yuuji wouldn't lie about wanting to live together with Sukuna. After all, he's been inside of Yuuji. He knows the brat isn't the type to be dishonest about these kinds of things. Megumi is safe now, so how can Yuuji seek to gain anything from staying by Sukuna's side?
And also, if it was all to mock Sukuna, why does Yuuji look so heartbroken when Sukuna refuses his offer??
That is the look of someone who is disappointed in what happened, not glad that Sukuna chose death instead of love.
I have so many thoughts on this... I could write a whole other meta but literally... this is just an outright confession of love, no matter how you interpret it.
All I can say is... Sukuita best ship.
Thanks for your ask, anon! Wishing you a happy rest of your week <3

HEY POOKS! I'm back with a cool idea😋
Basically hcs where the ninja have to train the reader(who is younger then them) because Wu told them too. At first neither of them want to train together and make the training sessions difficult for each other but over time the ninja see themselves in the reader which was apart of wu's plan. So overtime they develop a sibling bond and everyone rubs in their faces on how similar they are even when they used to hate each other.
SILLY REQUEST BUT HOPEFULLY THAT MADE SENSE! ANYWAYS BYE POOKIE REMEMBER TO TAKE RESTS AND DRINK WATER🤍💛🤍👻👻
YIPPEE you’re back with another banger!!!
Me when you call me pookie,, teehee
Ninjago - Unintentionally Becoming the Ninjas’ Little Sibling
Zane
Zane doesn’t always hate kids, but he certainly didn’t like you at first
He saw you as disorganized and disruptive
Your fighting style was no better
He begrudgingly took it upon himself to help shape you up, not just as a fighter, but as a person
Your attitude towards him was not helping his exasperation at all
But he’s perseverant
Eventually you start to come around to his lessons, finding that being organized is pretty convenient at times
You secretly started to organize your room
You absolutely did NOT want him to know that though
One time he walked in on you sorting your comics by franchise, and you legitimately flipped your table
“Y/n! Why did you do that? Look at the mess you’ve made.”
“I-I don’t care about messes!! No… I… I like my room like this…”
He insisted on helping you clean up, at which point he noticed that the comics, which had somehow maintained their separate groups after falling to the floor, were sorted
He doesn’t point it out, but he feels some pride in you
He helps you reorganize the comics wordlessly
Sitting there, just sorting through comics in silence, the tension between you two melted
Once Zane realized that his teachings were getting through to you, he stops being so harsh
He offers to help you organize things, and he’s thrilled if you return the favor
From there he’ll start teaching you to cook and do chores too
That’s when the others start to notice
They call you the Rumba because you’re a little housekeeping helper
Zane finds the name especially comedic because a Rumba is also a robot
Though their teasing makes you all huffy, you wouldn’t go back to your old ways just to stop it
You like the time you spend with Zane too much
Besides doing chores, you guys also like to watch documentaries together
You’re both one of those “did you know (weirdly specific fact)” people
You like to quiz each other on your niche hobbies and interests
You’re both definitely one of those weirdly knowledgeable people that seem to have a fun fact for every scenario
You’ll build off of each others’ fun facts as well
“Did you guys know that monarch butterflies are actually incredibly poisonous?”
“That’s correct. That’s why the viceroy butterfly has evolved to look similar; predators will assume they’re monarchs, and thus elect not to eat them.”
This becomes more annoying for the others as time goes on
Kai
He was determined to “tame” you from the very beginning
When Wu tasked him with training you, he convinced himself that you were a real piece of work
This led to a less than ideal attitude towards you, regardless of whether you were actually a problem child or not
He assumes this air of authority, using his age and experience as excuses to boss you around
That’s where your problem with him arises
And when you start to show how much you hate him, he only feels more justified in his treatment
It’s only when he starts to notice your hot-headedness that he reflects on his treatment of you
He sees himself in you, which makes him question if that’s how he would want to be treated
No, he decides, this is not how he would want to be treated were he in your position
So he approaches you one day when you’re all alone, watching the sunset
“Here to boss me around some more?”
“No, I want to apologize. I shouldn’t be treating you like this. It’s just not helpful, to you or me. I’m going to try to be better.”
His genuineness strikes you
You accept the apology warily
Frankly you’re worried about how he plans to change his treatment of you
You’re pleasantly surprised to find that he’s actually a pretty cool guy once he drops the dictator act
He shows you fun fighting moves, even lets you win every now and again when you spar
And he invites you to do more leisurely activities too
It’s a welcome change from the endless stream of chores he used to give you
He still gives you work to do though (mostly things he doesn’t want to do himself)
Your lingering hot-headedness shines through when this happens
“Why do I have to do it? It’s not fair!”
“Because I said so. Now shoo.”
The others start to tease that you’re just like him
Kai doesn’t mind this at all
If anything, he’s proud to have a mini version of himself
He loves doing stuff with you; your determination makes you a great buddy to be all competitive with
You guys LOVE to compete; video games, chores, training, anything
Cole
You get on Cole’s bad side by being stubborn
Cole’s a pretty chill guy who likes to go with the flow, so if you make him put his foot down, he’s not going to like you
So, when you demonstrate the classic huffiness of a child, he gets pretty impatient
He won’t push hard when it comes to enforcing his authority
He’ll just leave
This makes you feel like he doesn’t care about you, which only exacerbates your bad attitude
It becomes a vicious cycle of hate on both ends
It’s only when you realize that you are being a little bratty that you decide to try and tone it down
This takes him by surprise
“…99, and 100! Okay, all done with warm-ups. What next?”
“Wh— no complaining? Huh. Um, okay, let’s practice your high kicks.”
“You’re the boss.”
He starts to actually enjoy training with you once you’re not arguing all the time
This shows you that he really does care about your progress
The negative cycle therefore becomes a positive one
Cole loves to praise you when you’ve done a good job
He’s very proud of you
When you get used to going with what he says, you’re adopting some of his laid-back attitude
That’s where the others perceive similarities
But they don’t end there
Cole likes to invite you to hang out with him after training, and through your hang out sessions you start to pick up on some of his mannerisms
Like eating the cream out of the Oreo before you eat the cookie
Or leaving the TV on while you take a nap
The teasing gets amped up when the others notice these mirrored habits
Neither of you really care, though
You just like that you have a good relationship now :)
Jay
Jay thought you were a total brat
All it took was one bad experience; he’s volatile like that
He sees you in a bad light once and your reputation is ruined
A bad comment, telling him no once, a dirty look, anything small like that
He’s super cold to you when training, dishing out orders like Gordon Ramsay and glaring at you just as intensely
You feel like you can never satisfy him
As the work he gives you piles up daily, you can’t help but shoot a glare back
Your relationship is fixed in the same way it was ruined: with a single moment
You were watching TV, appreciating a rare break
Your favorite character was on screen, and you couldn’t help but smile and sigh
“Man, I wish you were my friend. Then everything would be okay. You’re just so cool.”
“Isn’t he?!”
You whirled around with wild eyes
Jay was diving to sit down next to you, his eyes sparkling at the screen
He was overjoyed to find out that you liked the show; it was super niche, and none of the other ninjas had even heard of it
You listened as he gushed about the show, a little disturbed by his complete flip of attitude
Eventually you couldn’t help joining his fangirling
You spent literal hours talking
Kai dropped in at one point to make a comment about you two being secret siblings, which you both shrugged off
After that day you were pretty much inseparable
You both proved to be total chatterboxes in each others’ presence
The others find this amusing in the sense that Jay has finally found an equal, but annoying in the sense that you guys literally never stop talking
The only time you shut your mouths is when you’re watching your shows
Even when training, you keep feedback flowing between you
“Nice kick! Try lower next time, though.”
“Thanks! Oof, that hurt…”
Nya
When you start to get frustrated/demotivated with your training, Nya does the same
She finds you “impossible to work with”
So she’ll dump you with someone else, making you feel like garbage to be tossed around
Wu has to remind her that she was the same when she started her ninja training
She’s in denial at first, but when she sees you hunched over in anger, she remembers being in that exact position
With newfound empathy she goes over to you
“Hey… you know, I wasn’t much better when I started my training.”
“I doubt it. I’m just the worst. I’ll never be a ninja.”
She was shocked to find your attitude so similar to her old attitude
From there she had a better idea of how to help you
You were surprised to find her so understanding
You came around to her as you realized she really did know how you were feeling
You put your trust in her, becoming a little more laid-back and letting her guide you
In other words, you adopted her “go with the flow” mindset
Wu was the first to point out your similarities
You both just looked at each other and smiled
You knew you were similar; that’s why you got along
Nya decides to teach you things beyond ninja training, like mechanics
You become quite skilled under her guidance
The others notice that she’s essentially created a smaller version of herself
She protests that you’re your own person, but she can’t deny that you are basically just mini-Nya
Lloyd
Lloyd gets annoyed if you don’t make progress quickly
His training was very fast and intense, so if you can’t keep up, he gets impatient
He’ll just keep pushing harder and harder
He doesn’t realize that not everyone has a prophecy to live up to, and thus probably isn’t motivated in the same way
He can’t find a way to appeal to your motivation, which leaves you feeling like training is just a waste of time
Lloyd finds this attitude incredibly disrespectful
You guys make so many passive aggressive remarks
“Are you already tired?”
“Well, you did kinda just make me, the kid, do 100 push ups.”
It’s when you finally snap that he realizes he’s been doing it wrong
You explode during training one day, storming off while grumbling furiously
Lloyd just stands there, stunned
At that point he finally recognizes that you’re not just a little version of himself, and he needs to get to know you to understand how to help you
So he appeals to you first, remembering the things he used to like as a kid
He gets you into Starfarer, and you guys bond over your love of it
He learns bits and pieces about you when you hang out, and eventually devises a plan to get you back on track
You take to training much better the second time around, making impressive progress
You aren’t cocky about it though; you’ve picked up Lloyd’s humble attitude
The others reminisce about when Lloyd was in your position and they were the trainers
“They’re kinda like you, Lloyd.”
“You think? I guess they are. I remember when you’d train me like this, Kai.”
He takes pride in knowing he’s facilitated your growth
He’s almost as proud to say he’s created another Starfarer fan
You guys still love to gush over the comics together :)

My headcanons pt1 (because i self project on everything)
(my opinion remember this is all silly fun) (also i change my mind contantly so expect me to edit this post constantly)
Kai Smith:
the band aid on his eyebrow is there because he has an eyebrow piercing, and he wants to protect it from getting ripped in battle (also doesnt want a scolding from Wu hehe)
self harms but instead of c///ing he burns because well, obvious reasons (less likely to be found out too)
orthorexic, is obsessed with being in peak physical form
hear me out on this one, i know he eats junkfood (so do orthorexics okay every 3d is diferent) anyway he never does it alone. he eats junkood only with other people, and he's always thinking he'll "make up for it" later. so yes he eats junkfood and yes he is orthorexic (felt like i had to defend my point there dsfsd)
body dysmorphia. knows he looks good but doesnt know what he looks like
"if i gave up on being pretty, i wouldn't know how to be alive" or wtv mitski said
has an extensive skincare routine but if anyone asks him he'll just say he "washes his face with cold water"
anger issues, but like he can explode on the ninja too and then he immediately regrets it but its too late which leaves him with... ->
guilt. ALL THE TIME. its in the back of his head wherever he goes
sun aries, moon sagittarius. i wont back down on this (im a sun aries and moon sag)
claims he "doesnt care" but actually cares so much it hurts (especially about Nya/Lloyd he'd do anything for them you hear me ANYTHING)
has strong morals and ideals but will give them up in a second when needed for survival of himself or the ninja (people often see this as a bad thing but he just wants everyone to live no matter the cost)
ironically, can't handle spicy food and is ALWAYS made fun of it by the others
is reckless and takes stupid risks because he does not care for his body whatsoever (the others think he doesnt know whats at stake, he does, but doesnt care when it's just his own saftey he's risking)
lowkey a perfectionist, but has a different idea of perfect than others so they wouldnt know (aka he needs things/himself/stuff he makes to be perfect, but not perfect objectively, perfect to what he thinks is right)
loves his parents because they tried their best, but still resents them. he hates that he does, but he does
cried all of his tears out ONCE after Nyas "death" and didnt cry at all after that, instead taking so much on his plate that he didnt get a single chance to think about it again (it'd be too painul, this was easier) which lead to....->
his grief being put on hold; and only when Nya already was back did it come out and he had no idea why he was feeling this way so he didnt tell anyone (what would he have said, im in agony for no reason at all?) and it was HELL to do it alone
tied to the above; he couldn't ask for help if his life depended on it (literally)
loves too hard
hates too hard
BPD coded (i dont wanna diagnose him but,,, im justsayinnn *whistles while walking away suspiciously*)
trust issues, but lowk all the ninja have them because like,,, just look at what they have to deal w bro
commitment issues because freedom is the most important thing in the world (after Nya/Lloyd) so settling down or commiting to one thing too long feels like threatining his freedom
actually smart (both emotinally and intelligently) but doesnt use his brains capabilities that much
great memory but also shit memory (remembers a whole row of numbers for no reason but forgets he has to pick up lloyd from the arcade..)
hot. thats all i rest my case
loves himself but hates himself
everything and nothing at the same time, everything about him contradicts himself, but also doesnt, but also does
hes a really simple person, really. but also the most complex one youll ever meet.
hates labels, especially being labeled by others (for the reasons above)
likes men but hates labels so,, no labels (not even the label "unlabeled")
infact he has a deep hatred for the label 'unlabeled' because if something is unlabeled, then why are you LABELING IT
red. everything is red redredred RED he loves red
has sibling bracelets with nya and lloyd (kai has green & dark blue, lloyd red & dark blue, nya red and green)
everything has to be red except the things that are black and orange. i rest my case once again
drinks just a bit too much for it to be considered concerning (started at 14)
will yell and scream at anyone who tries to help him (why do they think he needs help? why are they babying him? why cant the see he is capable?)
wouldnt let nya touch a bottle until she was 18 (be thankful nya its for the best)
paints his nails black or red.
has a strand of hair dyed red all the time
perfect teeth even tho he often forgets to brush them (how? fuck do i know)
would be a hyena i he was an animal
hates smartphones so he has a.. push-button phone?? whatever they're called. and he also only has the nokia brand. wont change it for a thing
"hates technology" but couldnt live without video games
loves to try new things but will have a breakdown if he HAS to try new things
stubborn asf, wont ever do anything he doesnt want to, which...->
makes people think he's selfish, but actually he's quite the opposite
selfless in an unconventional way, i'll make a drawing explaining it
please understand what i mean with that chart because it explains it so well in my brain
thats it for now cfdsfdr

time to talk about kaveh hate
Everyone's allowed to dislike characters and criticize the writing around them, but we also should ideally remember genshin impact is a game that takes a lot of its inspiration from real life cultures and we have to be careful not to accidentally direct those negative feelings towards the cultural elements portrayed by these characters.
We share the same fandom spaces with the people whose cultures are used, none of us would feel comfortable if a part of our personal or collective identity were to be belittled simply because we disapprove of a character. More importantly, by virtue of these elements belonging to a culture, they are subject to take a political tone (everything in life is political at the end of the day) and we might unknowingly participate in certain discourses if we're not careful.
Kaveh is a character inspired by Iranian culture, it is apparent by his design. I think everyone understands that if one were to belittle or make fun of these aesthetic elements it can be misunderstood as belittling and making fun of the real life culture that inspired them.
Nobody does that, because the connection is very obvious, but then there's more subtle elements that deserve equal respect. Such as: his characterization, which you might like or dislike, it's up to you, but criticism should avoid condescending shit like this
Kaveh's conception of good and evil and how he approaches them with his actions might have been easily inspired by the philosophy of Zoroastrian beliefs. The very concept of this duality influenced the abrahamic religions that we tend to be more familiar with (Jewish, Christian, Muslim) but unlike those, in Zoroastrianism the point is to be able to choose.
Zoroastrianism teaches a life based on (1) the avoidance of evil, through rigorous discrimination between good and evil, and (2) the service of wisdom through the cherishing of seven ideals. These latter are personified as seven immortal, beneficent spirits: Ahura Mazdāhimself, conceived as the creative ‘holy’ spirit; Sublime Truth; Virtuous Power; Good Purpose/Mind; Beneficent Piety; Wholeness/Health and, finally, Immortality. Evil originates neither from God nor from his creatures, but from a wholly other source, personified as Angra Mainyu, the ‘Hostile Spirit’, whose existence is ritually and doctrinally rejected as being pretended and parasitic. Real existence is solely the domain of Ahura Mazdāand his creation; Angra Mainyu and his demons are actually states of negativity, denial or, as the religion puts it, ‘the Lie’.
The motto of the religion, "good thoughts, good words, good deeds", and is placed at the center of the faith.
The core beliefs of Zoroastrianism lie in the choice that humans must make in the dualistic struggle between good and evil. This is because human beings have free will and must choose who they will follow: Ahura Mazda, or his nemesis, the evil spirit Angra Mainyu (also known as Ahriman).
We can observe how this concept plays into Kaveh's character in the way he always chooses to do right by others (even when it's detrimental for himself) which is the core of Zoroastrian philosophy. Kaveh deliberately chooses to put good in the world with good thoughts, good words and good deeds.
This is a respectful and admirable trait to exercise in Zoroastrianism. Belittling it as being a "blind judgment" based on what "a small mind can conceive" might be your opinion in isolation, but in the context of this game which is heavily inspired by actual cultures and portrays this inspiration through its characters can redirect that negativity towards the culture itself.
And things like misunderstanding the choice Kaveh makes in Parade of Providence to spare the world of the suffering that Sachin's research would eventually cause again, even if it meant he had to resign the inheritance he rightfully had earned, for censorship that you consider disturbing might as well prevent you from truly understanding the narrative of story itself.
If you disagree with this kind of philosophy, it can easily be expressed in respectful manners, nobody's forcing anyone to agree with the worldview represented by Kaveh and other characters offer their own arguments against it. Just don't be a dick about it.
More context on Zoroastrianism:
Before Iran suffered through a process of forced acculturation, its own religion was Zoroastrianism. It remains today an element of cultural pride, national identity and a form of political resistance, given how people who still practice it continue to be persecuted for it.
Hoyo might not have meant to make a politically charged statement when they involved Zoroastrian elements into the world building of their game, but the religion is so important in terms of national identity that just by being portrayed it becomes meaningful, especially for Iranian players who value its incorporation.
How do you think it looks when you belittle aspects of Kaveh's character that can be associated with this very religion?

Hi hello i would love to hear ur takes on the chorusans and their dynamics 👀 any of them/who ever u feel like getting into really, i just cant get them out of my head and would love to hear other ppls takes on them too (1A maintenance team is welcome to be included as well if u would like, im a firm believer in encouraging oc lore dumps at all times)
You just opened Pandora's box. I used to be such a diehard Chorus fan that I'd flesh out minor details of their planet's geography and economy and society and language on the regular.
Strap in: headcanons and a couple old Chorusan doodles under cut! Gets a liiittle long...
Bitters and Smith are, and always have been, friends. Surprisingly close ones, but they were both made lieutenants too young (out of necessity) and disagree with each others' styles of leading, especially because they can't see the Rebels as soldiers, but as friends. Everyone thinks they hate each other, but they WILL call the other a friend if asked (with some aloof reluctance on Bitters' part). They know that they ultimately need each other (Bitters balances out Smith's blind idealism, Smith balances out Bitters' deadly cynicism) and thus trust each other deeply, but it's just hard for them to agree on what the right thing to do is most the time.
Matthews has been friends with them for a while too! He's not very popular in the army, but they both enjoy his company and he acts as a good middle ground between them (incredibly optimistic, but sensitive enough to recognize risk). They both like (like-like, even...) him :-)
On the topic of Chorusan side characters--Ghanoush and McCallister are a little older than the lieutenants and like to cause trouble. They're actually Kimball's appointed archivists, which they take as an opportunity to snoop around as much as possible. Their rude and inappropriate behavior is an effect of having to document so much dark history, which has caused both of them to be a little detached from the severity of the situation.
And diverging into detachment: Doyle is actually one of the most emotionally detached soldiers for a large portion of his time as the Federal Army's leader--up until Locus's betrayal. His early career had him making one too many wrong calls until he started putting most of his faith in Locus, because Locus was somehow more likely to get things done without the damage to the rest of the army. He's faint-of-heart and a coward, yes, but he isn't always good at showing his other emotions, to the point that he comes across as a kingly leader (compared to Kimball's brash attitude but deep care for her men). Cowardice that runs so deep that he can't even face himself properly.
Kimball isn't without her flaws, either. She loves very deeply but has lost so intensely that even if she can show she cares (in small and subtle amounts, or in angry rushes of regret), she is extremely guarded. She worries but is scared that showing it is the catalyst to everything going wrong. It also makes her very keen on doing things alone if she can, and holding everything in. She sees a lot of herself in Grif as well as Tucker, actually, which is why...
...Kimball trusts Grif as much as she does Tucker. Tucker shares her need to be the hero, but Grif shares her overprotective parental instinct: operating below the radar and behind the scenes, but worrying so intensely and privately at all times. Even after the war, when Kimball asks the Reds and Blues to help for as long as they might be willing to, she turns to the two of them first and foremost for advice.
Kimball's desire to hold everything in out of misguided noble intention also reflects in, to everyone's surprise, Grey--Grey is one of the people Kimball starts consulting frequently after the war, initially as the local genius and later as someone she trusts intimately. They do not get along at first. A lot of pot-calling-kettle-stubborn, because they are both stubborn, and they don't want to admit to seeing any good in each other. They're selfless obstinancy in the form of woman's Venus (in Grey) and Mars (in Kimball), anger staying in, anger going out. They balance each other out in the end, teaching each other a sort of real, raw honesty--toward the world in Grey's case and toward the self in Kimball's. Very push-pull dynamic. Yuri, if you will.
And speaking of Grey! My second favorite female character in all of RVB. She's not as young as people assume, and she's been through a lot as a medic and sometimes falls into a trap of thinking she's useless because of/despite it. Very weathered under the helmet, stress lines melding into smile lines from permanently-plastered-on friendliness. During the time they were both Feds, Locus actually learned to respect her as a direct result of trauma on her end--to Grey, if all she's good for is fixing people, that's all she needs to do and she needs to do it right. A mentality Locus shares for unhealthy reasons, but Grey is doing it consciously where Locus follows command blindly, which Grey is aware of. They don't like each other, even with Locus's one-sided respect for her.
"You don't have to tell me twice. And to think—last I remember us talking, you said you respected me." Locus does. He always has; Emily Grey is competent, talented, and responsible. If it wasn't for her medical talent, it would be for her ability to balance her emotions in the face of a war's turbulence—a skill Locus had seen in her early on, past her cheery veil. He sees it now as she secures the band around his upper arm. It's purely out of distaste, the way she drops her façade around him, but it's commendable. Sympathy and kindness aren't reserved for someone like Locus.
Grey also has a complicated relationship with Doyle because of it. She sees him as a sort of brotherly figure because of how closely she has to watch his back, but Doyle is so very preoccupied with himself and every wrong step he could take that it often seems like a one-sided concern. Doyle does, though, rely on Grey as a sensible and clever mind, though it can come across more as a tactical opinion than a personal one. At their best, they are very sibling-like.
1A is full of loners because most people think they're all heartless and mean and weird. But they have each other and Lopez, who also "hates" them. So it's OK.
#rvb#red vs blue#Yap yap yap. I think about characters very deeply and being asked about specific ones is a joy. TY for the ask!#Chorus was a passion project to me for years. I kinda have more worldbuilding ideas for them than character headcanons though LOL.#No one would be able to comprehend my old McNoush and HamLomo fics...#inbox#anonymous#mine

Blyke and John: Parallel Characters
I’ve written multiple entries about this,
[x] [x] [x]
But I’m back to make a comprehensive analysis about the glaring similarities between these two. I’ll try not to repeat myself here.
‼️SPOILER WARNING for the whole series‼️ but this mostly focuses on the story before John’s suspension.
Firstly, this scene:
ch. 121
This conversation takes place near the beginning of the Joker arc. It’s after John targets Zeke, after he targets Juni, and the day before he goes after Seraphina’s kidnappers. The timing is important.
“If someone hit your best friend, would you let it slide?”
That question is supposed to remind us what John does to people who hurt Seraphina: hunting them down and sending them to the hospital. Blyke shooting a destructive beam really close to John was an example of a trait they share: they both blow up violently when people mistreat their friends.
John’s downward spiral carries strong themes of hypocrisy. He’s angry at the world, he’s angry at himself, and as a coping mechanism, he chooses to believe that everyone else is as bad as he is. That means that most of the traits he hates others for are the same things he hates about himself. In this scene, Blyke is unintentionally calling out this hypocrisy: “What I did is no different from what you do”.
But Blyke’s just trying to connect with John here, he has no idea what John’s been doing. And John, of course, doesn’t give a shit about what Blyke has to say. This line was here for the audience to notice.
They’re both so similar, but their similarity immediately causes tension between them because, well, John was on the wrong end of Blyke’s protectiveness.
I really love the way this was written— there are so many flashbacks to this scene, but they remember it differently. John remembers the part that hurt him— he’d describe it as “the time that jackass shot a beam at me”. Blyke remembers the part that hurt him, or rather, hurt Remi: “the time that jackass hit Remi for no reason”.
Blyke and John are both hotheaded characters with strong ideals. They’re similar enough that Seraphina points it out:
(ch. 80)
As Blyke grows as a character, he becomes more like John: sticking up for low tiers and speaking out against the injustice in the world. But while Blyke is doing that more, John is going in the opposite direction, until they are fully opposed to each other.
Speaking of Blyke’s character arc, it took me a few rereads to actually understand what part of him changed. His kindness, selflessness, bravery— all of those things were there from the start. Blyke’s character arc was about becoming more aware of his surroundings, and how his carelessness can harm others. Blyke was never malicious, but after X-Rei and integrating more with the school, he becomes aware of people suffering around him and how he unintentionally contributes to it. He becomes less reckless, privy to the flaws in the system he grew up not questioning, and uses his power more responsibly. He even comes up with a more controlled way to wield his ability. The part of Blyke that changes is his maturity.
Part of John’s character arc is also about being careful. It’s not as close of a parallel as other things are, but one of the things that John works on during his redemption arc is holding back. Both of them learn self-control throughout the series, and for John, that means acting early before his emotions spiral out of hand.
Adding onto my first point about the two of them wanting to protect their friends— the fact that they can’t do that makes them both angry and desperate. For most of the story, the “block” that prevents John from protecting Seraphina is in his head. It’s his own trauma that holds him back. The block that prevents Blyke from protecting his friends is, guess what? Also John’s trauma! Parallels abound.
Another thing I noticed in Episode 80 is this:
Notice that when Seraphina says “I’d take that over strength any day,” John is looking at the camera. He’s avoiding Sera’s gaze. Seraphina is saying she prefers honesty over strength. John is very strong, and very dishonest, but Seraphina thinks the opposite because John is so dishonest. John appears to be reflecting on this disconnect.
In relation to this analysis, Seraphina is actually pointing out a major difference between Blyke and John. Beyond that, she’s praising Blyke’s traits, (less strong but very open) above John’s traits, (strong as fuck but a liar with his pants on fire). Furthermore, John really cares what Seraphina thinks of him. Knowing that she would think less of him is the main reason why he spent so much time and effort preventing her from catching his lies.
This leads into my main point here: Blyke is the “goody-two-shoes” version of John. Or, more accurately, the person that John wants to be. Blyke has a clean track record and doesn’t really get into trouble. He is respected and left alone by the school without being hated and feared, he de-escalates conflicts without taking things too far, he doesn’t lose control, he’s someone Seraphina thinks highly of, hell, even his grades are better! Blyke represents everything that John wants to be, and the person that he could have been if he’d gone down a different path.
But, crucially, John is also what Blyke wants to be. Well, not wholly, but his ability? His strength? It’s one of the things John hates about himself, but Blyke wants that strength so desperately that he risks his life for it over and over again.
They’re both desperate to be like each other, even when they hate each other the most. Neither of them have any idea how alike they already are.
I don’t know what Season 3 holds in store for us, but I do hope that John realizes that Blyke embodies who he wants to be, because mutual jealousy would be a very interesting dynamic to explore in my opinion. I also hope that it ends up being something they can bond over, by helping each other accomplish their personal goals. (Blyke being another helper in John’s character arc, and John helping Blyke train.)
A side note: John beat up Blyke four separate times. That’s more than any other character, which is interesting because John’s main rival is supposed to be Arlo. For reference, John has beaten Arlo twice, three times if you count the time when Seraphina intervened, and he only beat him unconscious once. But John beat Blyke to the point of passing out all four times, the worst of which being a shot clean through his chest. (shoulder? Unclear. S1 finale).
It’s odd, isn’t it? Out of everyone, Blyke is the one who John physically hurt the most. John’s only grudge against him is an old memory from episode 33, of an event that didn’t actually harm him. John’s grudge against Arlo is much more serious and again— that’s his main rival. So why is it that he’s so much more violent towards Blyke?
The problem here is that I’ve been thinking about these fights as “John picking on Blyke”. And that’s… kind of true? But while Blyke didn’t start any of these fights, they were all consensual in a way. He didn’t seek to fight John, nor was he ever happy about fighting John, but he was always a willing participant.
(138, 153, 206, & 211)
In three out of these four fights, John didn’t even expect to be fighting Blyke going into it. This is significant because while Arlo is John’s main rival, John absolutely fills that role for Blyke. Blyke’s own agency is what leads to most of these events. The reason, narratively speaking, why they fight so much is not for John’s character, but for Blyke.
For John, his reason for fighting Blyke so much is not narrative but moreso symbolic. John is angry at everyone and everything, but ultimately the person he hates the most is himself. It’s only fitting that the character most like him would bear the brunt of his wrath.
As John is having his positive character arc (suspension and post-suspension), he is becoming more like Blyke, and the two of them reach a point where they’re even more similar than they were at the start of the series.
In the Rowden amusement park, John does start to realize how similar they are:
(249)
Additionally, I want to draw your attention to the parallels between this scene:
Blyke and John’s argument in chapter 249
(which the image limit won’t let me add, scroll until you see red hair.)
And this scene:
Argument in ch. 121 (it’s at the beginning)
Two sides of the same coin.
Furthermore, in the S2 finale, Blyke is shown being taken to Keon. There is an implication that by Season 3, Blyke and John will share Keon-related trauma as well. Despite my pessimistic predictions, I do hope that this is a similarity that can bring them together rather than tear them apart.
#unordinary#I had another point that i had to cut#because it was about the john slaps remi scene#and how like blyke knew he wasn’t gonna miss and hit john by accident but john doesn’t necessarily know that#and that john assumes the worst (blyke was aiming for his head) bc he’s mad#and blyke also assumes the worst (that john hit remi for no reason). But when i was looking for screenshots to back it up#and i was looking for the one panel where john referred to blyke as “that idiotic redhead who tried to blow my brains out”#as proof of john assuming the worst#But then i found it and it doesn’t even say what i thought it said#it says “THREATENED to blow my brains out”#Smh john didn’t even assume the worst. He knew it was jyst a threatening shot even thogh he was mad#And then my whole thing kinda falls apart because blyke assuming the worst is actually just the logical conclusion since he can’t read mind#Like how was he gonna know john was having trauma issues#Yargh okay so i think i cut all the parts that don’t really make sense but it’s late so this is a low quality proofread#Gonna be honest this is NOT structured very well#Theres more to be said about john hating other people for the same reasons he hates himself#and I didn’t quite hit it#but it’s lateeeeeee#something about how Blyke is so similar to john but lacks most of what John hates about himself so John projects his insecurities—#back onto him anyway#Something about in ch 249 when he says something something “because I couldn’t cope with the fact that you guys weren’t actually bad people#Yeah idk im too tired to get into it#blyke unordinary#john unordinary#oh also has something to do with when john says “i may have deserved those classes but they sure as hell don’t” about keon#i think that’s significant#analysis#i have a bad feeling that someone in my notes is gonna purposely misinterpret my “goody two shoes” blyke statement ngl#”did you say that blyke is perfect and john is evil”#like something like that

Thoughts on 0903 relationship during T1
It's just my thoughts on 0903 friendship in Minigram and Milgram (probably Minigram can be considered T1 as there are few illustrated timelines). I decided to write it because I had seen some people who thought that their relationship is about hating each other— or only Fuuta hating Mikoto, which is obviously wrong statement.
Firstly, I want to start with Mikoto's birthday timeline from 2021. Fuuta came to him on his own will, just to chat. And his first phrase is oftenly mistranslated.
In Japanese he says:
はぁ?知らねぇよ、お前の誕生日なんて。
Which is pretty derogatory and also can be translated as “I don't care”. But なんて itself also has meaning of excitement when it's put in the end of the sentence. So that Fuuta's statement means “I didn't know it was your birthday”, which also can serve as an answer to Mikoto's statement. (like: “Did you come to celebrate my birthday?” — “Huh, it's your birthday today? I didn't know.”)
Fuuta just wanted to chat, and their conversation despite being rude from Fuuta's side (he talks like that to everyone actually) is still kinda friendly— because they're talking about mutual understanding. And it's the first and only time when Mikoto (not John) uses pronoun “omae” (お前) in the dialogue. He usually calls everyone by their nicknames or uses “socchi” (そっち) towards his mother and Haruka.
There is another point. Nicknames. He hadn't given Fuuta a nickname, probably because Mikoto considered him as a childish person and a person with whom he could hardly get along. But it's strange, because there are Muu and Haruka, who also have childish behaviour, and Kotoko, who doesn't even trying to hide her disgrace towards Mikoto— and they do have nicknames, which Mikoto considers “useful” towards right people.
I thought it could be also about respect. No one likes when they are disrespected, and Mikoto clearly understands it, and it can be another tactics of making friends with people around. In their first dialogue Fuuta mentioned that he hated shitty nicknames given by Mikoto to everyone else, and it could be possible that Mikoto had taken it into account. “So, he doesn't like nicknames? OK, no nicknames. Maybe we will become friends if I don't use any.”
Returning to the birthday timeline, I can name few reasons why Mikoto used “omae” (which as I said he didn't use towards anyone else).
His T1 voting started, and he was kinda nervous about it. He also mentioned that he was tired of something (no surprise, it's hard to act like he does all the time). So he could use “omae” because he got tired of his friendly mask and accidentally showed his true self.
Trust. It's what their dialogue is mostly about — having a person whom they could understand and trust. And it's not that usual for Mikoto to talk about his tiredness so directly (in T1), and in this dialogue it seemed that he got awkward of his own words (“It wouldn't become better if I just say it to you”). And yet Fuuta got the point and continued without even noticing the difference (perhaps because all the dialogue started when he noticed Mikoto's strange behaviour).
It was John, not Mikoto. It's kinda stupid idea but it could work, if they accidentally switched. But it would make things far more complicated, so it's meaningless (from my point of view).
There is no right answer to this, tho. None of them can be right as well as all can be right at the same time.
In Minigram they also don't show any hatred. They do talk to each other and do stuff like playing shiritori with Yuno and drinking coffee together (they don't have a lot of interactions, which is pretty sad).
Also not to mention John's words about the person Mikoto wanted to be, and this ideal portrait really fits Fuuta's description. So there is not actually hate, but envying each other's particular traits— and I won't talk about it because there is a good post about their opposite traits (read it, if you haven't!).
So, can we think about their relationship as of friends' one?
Yes, why not?
Okay, it's not that strong bond as between Mahiru and Yuno, Muu and Haruka, but they have friendship potential at least, despite there are a lot of things which they're annoyed by (Mikoto smokes -> Fuuta hates smoking, and other stuff). They're quite opposite, which is obvious, but it doesn't imply hate for sure.
And it would be cool to see them interacting more. (At least in Minigram because I have no hope in T3. It will be super hell.)
It went kinda messy, but well, it's the way as it is. Feel free to argue.
