As a CSAM survivor myself (and potential child HT/OEA) it honestly makes me upset that people are much more concerned with fictional content than the safety of real children.
Kinda trigger warning but I need this rant.
From a systemic perspective the majority of children are not abused because of fictional content regarding minors or even by people who could be clinically considered p-dophiles (the downplaying of that word in the modern day is a genuine deficit to our language surrounding these issues). In my opinion this directs focus away from the actual issue, child abuse is the result of a culture that makes underage individuals extremely vulnerable and certain other people very powerful. Most child abuse is committed by someone who isn't even attracted to children. It is by people who are attracted to power and complete domination over their victims. Fictional content created by people with an attraction to real children who are emboldened by those works and hurt children are a RESULT of that system, not the cause. Attacking a symptom will never ever do anything about the real issue.
You wanna figure out how to actually protect children? First, read about how the family structure is oppressive. Then read some goddamn feminist literature on the patriarchy because I'm sorry feminism isn't over. The patriarchy is still a main threat and no amount of reporting fictional content or harassing people online for what they like will fix it. No matter your stance, if your goal is child safety look at the bigger picture.
If you are in any online spaces that discuss the morality of fiction or its censorship, please keep the following in mind:
CSAM refers to Child Sexual Abuse Material. This is a term that was created for use by US federal law enforcement. As such, it is important to remember that this is a term used specifically to describe illegal sexual content that is produced involving real children. the term CSAM was specifically constructed to highlight the trauma these victims experience because of this abuse, and therefore their humanity.
if you come across CSAM online, you should immediately report it to a tip line. Some websites that host their servers in the US are subject to US federal law even if the person who posted it does not currently reside in the US, so keep that in mind when reporting. again, this is involving CSAM - it is illegal sexual content involving real children.
CSEM refers to Child Sexual Exploitation Material. This is material that involves a real child in a sexualized situation, but either 1- the material itself is not illegal to possess, or 2- the material is not sexualized, but is included in a series or other content that does contain CSAM. Think along the lines or a parent with a few too many photos of their child in the bath. These images are not explicitly sexual, and are not illegal in and of themselves, but they can be used exploitatively.
If you come across CSEM online, it's still a good idea to send in a tip as well as alerting the website it was posted on. Even if the content itself isn't technically illegal, some websites do have strict rules regarding nudity and the sexualization of minors, which can help stop the spread of such materials and reduce the impact on the affected child.
CSAM and CSEM are words used to describe the assault, abuse, sexualization, and exploitation of real children. CSAM, specifically, is used as a way to identify and remove these materials.
CSAM and CSEM do not apply to fiction. They don't apply to any fictionalized or simulated child abuse or sexualized children. They only refer to real children.
Do not send in tips about fictionalized child abuse or sexualized children to tip lines meant to be used for CSAM.
Do not use the words CSAM and CSEM when discussing fictionalized child abuse or sexualized children. In a worst case scenario, it leads to people misusing tip lines due to a conflation of CSAM with fictionalized depictions.
In a more likely scenario, using CSAM to refer to fiction minimizes what CSAM was created to do - which was highlight the trauma experienced by survivors, and therefore draw attention to their humanity. By continuing to use these terms in situations that do not involve real people, it reduces that impact.

I truly feel like I'm living in the twilight zone when other americans expect that someone in my position as a Jew, a lesbian, and a woman, would just naturally be on a campaign against Israel right now in favor of uplifting the Islamic Republic and its various terrorist proxies who would love to eliminate all Jews, gays & lesbians, & subject all girls and women to unspeakably brutal forms of oppression...do they think I have a death wish and also a deep hate for everyone remotely like me?
And these are the same groups of americans who pride themelves on their sensitivity to identity politics down to the level of caring about the subtlest of microaggressions??
Chaverim, I simply cannot get my mind around this shit.

How the hell did we go from "men and women are equal as human beings therefore we should be treated equally and we deserve equal opportunities" to "trans people are a danger to society".

Friendly reminder that if you ever use the words "bitch," "cunt," or "whore" as an insult, for any reason, at any time, in any context, you are a misogynist.
Feminists don't think that using misogynistic slurs suddenly becomes not-sexist if you don't like the women you're directing said misogynist slurs towards. That's what misogynists think.

you're not a feminist
I am … you just don’t know what that word means
It doesn’t mean “agree with all women even if they are racist homophobic psychopaths”
It means you want equality and the end of patriarchy in society as it harms women and violates their rights
You would suck the cock of the patriarchy if it means you can see a gay or trans person be whipped for the horrific crime of being the icky gay
Just look around at your “feminist” movement right now it’s filled with pedos, racists and reactionary politicians that push for misogynistic policies under the pretense of “protecting women from the LGBTQ agenda”

tell me jk rowling’s transphobic tweets, using her own words.
What I’ve learned from this past week is that a person can literally say “I think [X group] should be eradicated from the world,” and when you respond telling them that that’s a really fucked up and bigoted thing to say, they’ll repeatedly respond with “no it isn’t. How is it bigoted to say that lol I’m just speaking the truth,” much like a 7 year old who’s too stubborn to admit the Tooth Fairy isn’t real even when he’s seen his own mother put the money under his pillow. Nothing you say will ever convince them until they learn to pull their own heads out of their arseholes.
Therefore, I will refer you to — oh who am I kidding, you’re not going to read or watch anything I link you. I will refer MY FOLLOWERS and anyone else who sees this post to timestamp 41:00 of Contrapoints’ brilliantly crafted video essay on JKR and her transphobia — and that of her rabid fucking fanatics like you. I think she puts it perfectly well.

This is honestly the funniest bullshit I’ve ever seen. How many times have TERFs told me to kill myself because of my post or tried to invalidate my gender despite me being literally a cis woman? How many times have they harassed trans people to the point that trans people fear for their lives? And guess what? There’s no anon button that helps them feel safe in real life when TERFs decide to start spewing their toxic, misogynistic hate.
‘Oh, no, someone told me they wanna kill all TERFs! :(‘ Yeah, well, people tend to hate bigots, and it’s easy to play nice when you’re not the minority being accosted. Proud Boys are also pretty decent to other Proud Boys and Nazis are real sweethearts to other Nazis, but maybe pay attention to the way they treat the oppressed.

the dumbest points ive seen from terfs and radfems that do nothing except make this movement look ridiculous:
trans men are misogynistic gender traitors who become men because they hate women and want to be privileged. they will DEFINITELY never experience oppression for their intersectionality at all! they will never be the victims of transandrophobia and lingering misogyny. because ALL MEN live easily, duh
it's okay to sexualize transmascs and then see them as innocent little girls who were manipulated into hating themselves for being women
sex involving kink between consenting adults is ALWAYS bad and is NEVER excusable even though both/all people involved EXPLICITY and ENTHUSIASTICALLY consent to said kinky sex
all men are automatically disgusting and evil, and masculinity is inherently gross and negative (even when it is healthy masculinity and NOT the toxic and fragile kind!)
taking testosterone hrt will not make you a man, but if you were born with a vagina, are raised female, identify and live as a woman, and then find out later in life that you have a higher testosterone level than the average cis woman, you are indisputably a man
top surgery is misogyny because it mutilates the breasts of innocent women. it definitely isn't actually a life-saving gender-affirming surgery that is completely consensual and something that people work hard to receive access to and is proven to be a procedure that statistically has a <1% regret rate
if you feel sexual attraction or kinks you're a pervert with unresolved trauma and you just want to sexualize yourself. but also asexuals are all just confused teenagers who want to be special and sex is what makes us human or something
becoming the oppressor is absolutely a valid form of liberation! it is in fact okay to commit violent acts against cis men and transgender people! it definitely IS some kind of salvation and ISN'T some kind of fucking petty form of hatred that could traumatize future generations
all cis women should feel threatened and endangered by the fact that a woman with a penis exists in the same space as them
if cis women want to be happy they cannot get a husband. marriage to a man is an act of self hatred and they will regret it forever and it is internalized misogyny. (unfortunately this is a real thing i've seen terfs and rads say. i wish i was making this up)
seriously. why are some people still listening to these idiots.

“that doesn’t exclude someone”
is something too many people skip over.
I bring a “there’s no meaningful difference between men and women that doesn’t exclude someone” to the function that gender essentialists hate

Not that it’s ever particularly meaningful when a man calls himself a feminist, but why do you have that word in your bio when it seems like all you do on here is call women Karens and defend porn? I’m dying to know what your definition of feminism is
This is why rad feminism is fundamentally a false ideology just like anarcho-capitalism
They just saw the word and went “yeah that makes sense I don’t need to think about it more than aesthetically”
I’m an actual feminist cause I fight for women’s rights and equality … you are a fascist that simps for the patriarchy when they oppress someone you don’t like while also demanding every “male” bow to your will and wants cause you believe they are lesser than you just for having a cock
We are literally not the same ….

the number of female sex offenders in British jails is 6%. The number of transwoman sex offenders is 47%. Why do you think that female prisoners safety is worth less then gender affirmation of a rapist?
PAHAHAHA THIS IS THE MOST FALSE STATISTIC I’VE EVER SEEN ARE YOU 9 YEARS OLD
I feel like I don’t even need to disprove this since anyone with half a brain cell would read that and point and laugh but fine. I’ll humour you.
According to the UK government, as of March 2022 (as this is the most recent reliable study I can find on the subject) there are only 230 transgender people in prison in the UK, with 168 of those identifying as trans women. This is compared to, according to the 2021 Census for England and Wales, around 262,000 transgender people in the total English and Welsh population of 59.6 million. (I could not find a reliable statistic for Scotland since they don’t have a Census, but the estimated transgender population is thought to be 0.5%, which would add up as around 24,000 Scottish people. Finding a reliable statistic for Northern Ireland is even more impossible but the estimated amount is 0.1%, which would add up to only 1885 people as of 2019.) Of those 168 trans women, only 6 were placed in female prisons — female prisons hold around 4% of the total UK prison population, adding up to around 3150 women. So 6 out of 3150 adds up to around 0.19% of the total female prison population in the UK.
According to the same study, as well as one done the year before in September 2021 (since the statistics did not increase significantly during those 6 months), there are estimated to be around 65,000 sentenced prisoners (if you include remand the number is around 79,800) in the UK, about 14,000 of which are sentenced sex offenders. Immediate custodial sentenced sex offenders make up around 11,900 of that.
So. We don’t know exactly how many trans people, particularly trans women, are in prison specifically for sexual offences. However, even so, neither 230 nor 168 are anywhere near 47% of 11,900, 14,000, 65,000 or 79,800. In fact, just to recap and tie this all up, the maths shows that transgender people make up a measly 0.29% of the total prison population, with trans women specifically adding up to 0.21% — and only 6 of those being placed into female prisons, meaning trans women make up a microscopic 0.19% of the total female prison population in the UK. All of this adds up to an even smaller amount than the 4% of total female prisoners and even that 6% statistic you just gave me of (cis) female sex offenders in prison, anon. Funny, that. Reckon your maths needs some work, eh?
Bro thought they could just dump a completely made up statistic in my ask box and I’d just take it 💀 Clown

I love the logic of “you can’t support X you aren’t one yourself”
Like yeah I can … I ain’t black but I support their rights and fight against a tyrannical system
I ain’t a lesbian but I’ve stood side by side with em even before I came out
Cis AF, still support the trans peoples
I am a feminist and have supported actual protests irl despite being a penis haver cause it’s a fight that needs fighting
The fact people assume that no one can care outside their group is telling
They don’t care about the fight it’s a larp or social club to them … something they do for funsies not a serious thing they advocate and fight for
