Labyrinth Fanart

I'm very lousy at this self-promotion thing, but here's my most recent Labyrinth watercolor. Done on A3-sized paper (11.69 x16.53 inches), it's my largest watercolor to date and caused me all sorts of stress since the paper was expensive and I didn't want to ruin it.

I also made a YouTube video of the process:

And since I like "As the World Falls Down" so much (that wonderful bass!), I also made a short vertical video and uploaded it to YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok to see how their audiences might differ. As expected, it was completely ignored by Instagram but had a better reception on TikTok. YouTube reacted relatively lukewarmly. It's always funny how there are people who take the trouble to downvote my videos on Youtube. 🤣

Rachel Goldberg Polin, Hersh’s mother, explains in a touching video that her son’s Hebrew name to be mentioned in prayers is Hersh Ben Perel Chana, but then she adds that just saying Hersh is also fine.  I am very secular but drawing is my way of praying and saying the hostages’ names to the universe. If you pray, make sure to pray for the hostages. Say their names. Shout their names to the universe. (I am sure I forgot some names, I apologise). @bring.hersh.home

Yesterday was International Missing Children’s Day . Why supermarkets were not flooded with milk cartons with Kfir and Ariel’s face? Why wasn’t the whole world shouting “bring Kfir and Ariel Back”? Why aren’t celebrities asking for their release? Why isn’t the Pope mentioning them (at least I haven’t heard it) in yesterday’s speech for Children day in Vatican, when he prayed for war children victims and orphans? Why? They have been missing 233 days!! My heart aches ❤️‍🩹. @bring.bibas.back I have painted every hostage held in Gaza. Now I am painting their families and tell more stories about them. I can’t stop thinking of them. I’m a mother too 💔💛🎗️. I am painting a sketch a day until all the hostages come back home safe, in order to raise awareness. 🎗️💛Families must not feel alone or forgotten.

Står stolt, akvarell, 26,5x36 cm Det här och mina två senaste inlägg är målningar av skogar som är anmälda för slutavverkning. Delar av dem är enligt Skogsstyrelsen skog med höga naturvärden och nyckelbiotop. Det finns fynd av rödlistade och fridlysta arter i de här skogarna. Nu riskerar de, precis som 80% av alla skogar som huggs ner i Sverige, att bli pappersmassa eller andra kortlivade produkter som bränns upp inom två år.

Standing tall, watercolour, 26,5x36 cm This and my two latest posts are paintings of forests that are notified for logging. Parts of them are defined as having high natural values and being a key biotope by the Swedish Forest Agency. There are findings of several redlisted and protected species in these forests. Now, like 80% of the forests that are cut down in Sweden, they risk being turned into paper pulp or some other short lived product that will be burned withing two years.
