I spent a few days getting to know Brigadier General of the IDF Dr. Hadas Minka-Brand, former Head of the IDF’s Behavioral Science Center & Organizational Advisor to the Chief of Staff. In September 2023, she retired from the IDF and on October 7, 2023, she put her uniform back on to serve her country once again. Along with her colleagues, she is now leading the military headquarters for the families of the kidnapped and missing. She most recently planned and commanded the return of the hostages, working closely with them and her families. Learning about the meticulous and caring way the team welcomes the hostages from captivity was incredible. So grateful for these heroes behind the scenes.

heres the list of all the celebrities that signed the "no hostage left behind" letter to Biden that pins the entire war on hamas and asks that "no one rests" until every hostage is brought home, and doesn't mention ceasefire or call for peace in any way, meaning they support Israel's attack on Palestine at whatever cost. everyone brought up Taika Waititi but I don't think he should be the only one called out even though the hypocrisy is wild

To my mutuals who watch WWDITS and OFMD:
Taika Waititi and Kristen Schaal are two of the many celebrities who signed this racist and Islamophobic letter that a) thanks Joe Biden for supporting the collective punishment and ethnic cleansing that Israel is currently carrying out in Gaza and b) unambiguously prioritizes the lives of 220 Israeli hostages over all Palestinian lives.
It’s dated Oct. 23rd, which means it was posted two weeks into a siege of Gaza, in which Israel has committed countless war crimes, killed more than 7000 Palestinian civilians so far, and continues to deny 2.3 million Palestinian civilians access to food/clean water/electricity/fuel/safe shelter/medical care/humanitarian aid.
Obviously people can still be fans of a show regardless of how they feel about the people involved in making it. But please don’t support Taika Waititi or Kristen Schaal or any of the other people who signed this letter.

Ross Duffer, Shawn Levy, Brett Gelman, and Noah Schnapp have signed the #NoHostageLeftBehind letter to Biden which reads,
“Dear President Biden,
We are heartened by Friday’s release of the two American hostages, Judith Ranaan and her daughter Natalie Ranaan and by today’s release of two Israelis, Nurit Cooper and Yocheved Lifshitz, whose husbands remain in captivity.
But our relief is tempered by our overwhelming concern that 220 innocent people, including 30 children, remain captive by terrorists, threatened with torture and death. They were taken by Hamas in the savage massacre of October 7, where over 1,400 Israelis were slaughtered - women raped, families burned alive, and infants beheaded.
Thank you for your unshakable moral conviction, leadership, and support for the Jewish people, who have been terrorized by Hamas since the group’s founding over 35 years ago, and for the Palestinians, who have also been terrorized, oppressed, and victimized by Hamas for the last 17 years that the group has been governing Gaza.
We all want the same thing: Freedom for Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace. Freedom from the brutal violence spread by Hamas. And most urgently, in this moment, freedom for the hostages.
We urge everyone to not rest until all hostages are released. No hostage can be left behind. Whether American, Argentinian, Australian, Azerbaijani, Brazilian, British, Canadian, Chilean, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Eritrean, Filipino, French, German, Indian, Israeli, Italian, Kazakh, Mexican, Panamanian, Paraguayan, Peruvian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, South African, Spanish, Sri Lankan, Thai, Ukrainian, Uzbekistani or otherwise, we need to bring them home. “
You can read it yourself here, alongside every celebrity who signed it.

Knowing that so many people involved with Stranger Things’ production are going out of their way to support this, I’m no longer going to be posting about or interacting with Stranger Things content and I won’t be watching season 5.
I suggest reading the full list as others may disappoint you as they have disappointed me.
From the river to the sea,
Palestine will be free.

Hundreds of celebrities (including such big names as Ewan McGregor, Gal Gadot, Kirsten Dunst, Paul Rudd, Bella Thorne, Isla Fisher, Jack Black, Jeff Goldblum, Katy Perry, Madonna, Orlando Bloom, and Lana del Rey) have written and signed a letter to Joe Biden, thanking him for his unwavering support of Israel and applauding his handling of the situation. This letter comes in response to a letter written by several other celebrities imploring congress to call for a ceasefire in Gaza. Here is the link ( https://www.nohostageleftbehind.com/) to the letter and list of signees. I have also included screenshots of the full list of names.

Hey, so something's going around on Twitter, claims that the FNaF movie is anti-Palestine or something... I'm hoping to collect & provide whatever context I can, and I intend to update my post when applicable.
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Here's what I've gathered so far.
On 23 October, there was an Instagram post from gal_godot. In every image included, the URL "NoHostageLeftBehind.com" is in the bottom left, and the hashtag "#NoHostageLeftBehind" is in the bottom right. This comes with a list of celebrities that (apparently) signed it, with more listed at the URL.
Their post is a letter to Joe Biden, and it contains the following:
Appraisal for Biden's assistance in the release of four Hamas hostages.
A call for more of Hamas' hostages to be released.
A desire for an end to the violence occurring in both Israel and Palestine.
Their post neglects to directly mention a related issue: how much the Israeli military has been f**king up the Gaza Strip. Also, Gal Gadot is a former IDF soldier, and is still sponsoring Israeli military propaganda.
This doesn't guarantee that everyone on that list is a Zionist; even if it's propaganda, they could've been manipulated into signing it. Regardless, there is reason to be concerned.
Jason Blum is one of the celebrities listed. Because of this, some folks are worried he's a supporter of the Israeli military.
Jason is the guy behind Blumhouse Productions. Blumhouse is the company behind the FNaF movie, and Jason himself was a producer alongside Scott Cawthon.
Folks are now worried that the FNaF movie's profits could go towards further f**king things up, so they're calling for boycotts.
Hope this helps!
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Notes regarding FNaF movie boycotts:
This post is not trying to call for a boycott of the FNaF movie. Instead, I wanted to explain why others are doing so.
Please refrain from guilt-tripping/harassing folks who saw the movie in theaters. This is about spreading awareness, not spreading toxicity.
Do you wanna see the movie, but don't wanna give the producers money? It's already been pirated. Swashbuckle away.
Don’t want to pay for it, but are worried about the rest of the staff? Find ways to support them directly.
Notes regarding Palestine support overall:
Remember to check out BuildPalestine and sign that #CeasefireNow petition.
If you're a white American feeling hopeless, there's a video pointing out what you can do, transcription provided.
For anyone boycotting stuff in general: go by the BDS list for the biggest impact.
If I'm missing anything, please let me know.

Yesterday was International Missing Children’s Day . Why supermarkets were not flooded with milk cartons with Kfir and Ariel’s face? Why wasn’t the whole world shouting “bring Kfir and Ariel Back”? Why aren’t celebrities asking for their release? Why isn’t the Pope mentioning them (at least I haven’t heard it) in yesterday’s speech for Children day in Vatican, when he prayed for war children victims and orphans? Why? They have been missing 233 days!! My heart aches ❤️‍🩹. @bring.bibas.back I have painted every hostage held in Gaza. Now I am painting their families and tell more stories about them. I can’t stop thinking of them. I’m a mother too 💔💛🎗️. I am painting a sketch a day until all the hostages come back home safe, in order to raise awareness. 🎗️💛Families must not feel alone or forgotten.

What was the “Zionist propaganda” that Taika Watiti was putting out?
1) You’re here in bad faith, which I know bc you’ve already reposted my OP to defend him. So this isn’t an actual question.
2) Bc you’re here in bad faith + defensive, you want to clarify how/why he didn’t put out Zionist propaganda which isn’t what I said. I said he endorsed it. Which he did.
3)
Tumblr media
The #NoHostageLeftBehind letter calls for the release of all hostages from Hamas. The hostages in Israel’s refugee camps and ‘open-air prison’ aren’t even referred too, let alone advocated for. The letter doesn’t name Israel’s hand in this violence at all actually, which leads us to
4) It actually never calls for a ceasefire at all. Just hostage release. Because back in October, it was actually super inflammatory to suggest Israel was doing anything wrong at all and THAT’s the horse he chose to back.
5) THAT’s why this is Pro-Zionist and not centrism at least. Because he chose to co-sign something that never names the oppressors as such, conflated the victims of the oppression with the victims of the rebellion & ultimately, used his power, name + influence to validate fallacies that harm Palestinians AND Israeli victims.

What i was told was the nohostageleftbehind, which you can Google its an open letter too but calls for the release of hostages. It mentions peace for both (I thought it also mentioned freedom for Palestine but re-reading it i think its talking specifically freedom from Hamas)
I understand not supporting the celebs on the one you linked. This one has different celebrities.
I thought it was the one I was talking about and it calls for peace which is why I was confused when it says peace for both, which I could see why some celebs would say. I thought it was calling for freedom of hostages and didn't understand why people were saying to boycott those celebs. I did NOT see the one you mentioned and that part about defense you shared??? Dont like AT ALL
Don't worry, you don't have to justify yourself. It's a very complicated topic and unfortunately if you have questions, finding answers can be very hard...

celebrities who signed the nohostageleftbehind letter on the directory: chris pine, constance wu, taika waititi (they may not be zionists. some people on this list have also signed artists4ceasefire so i did not include them, i'm not sure if this is a total representation of zionism)
thank you for these! honestly, i'd rather be safe than sorry 💖
