#ace attorney shifting

❀ My Ace Attorney DR ❀

NOTE: I haven't shifted yet, this is based on my script and ideas for this DR

I come from a family of musicians, but for some reason I decided to study Law (*insert backstory I haven't thought/remembered yet*) and start an internship as Edgeworth's assistant. I wasn't really expecting he'd accept me when I applied, because I had heard he liked working alone and didn't take assistants or interns, but I looked up to him and had to try anyway, and shomehow I get the job. When Edgeworth is accused of murder, I help Phoenix and Maya investigate and prepare for the trial, and we become good friends. Maggey also becomes my best friend, just because she's my favorite character and I say so. Now, in my DR Edgeworth doesn't leave right after his trial, he does it later and in different circumstances so I can spend more time with him and it's not as traumatic when he leaves (I'm changing the timeline a little bit but still keeping the major events).

After Edgeworth disappears, I end up working as Phoenix's assistant. We get along really well and make a great team along with Maya, who is like a little sister to me. For some reason I also scripted Phoenix loves karaoke, just like me (don't ask...), we often see each other at karaoke bars from the beginning and then we start going together on purpose (usually with Larry, Maggey and other friends). As in all my other realities, I'm a good singer and music is an important part of my life. I also play the piano, maybe other instruments too, I had a good musical education. Phoenix becomes my karaoke buddy, and we both end up participating in a big karaoke contest with several rounds and competing in the finals.

I may or may not end up dating Edgeworth and/or Phoenix... I can't choose, I love them so much. I have many little scenarios in my head for both of them and I wouldn't want to let them go to waste.

Y'know, in fanfics where they have the "Trucy and Apollo are siblings" reveal, the authors tend to make Trucy excited and Apollo be confused and angry. And like, yeah, fair, but—

I think Trucy deserves to be a little angry. She should be upset about this yet another drop in the bucket of the shittiness that is the Gramaryes. She should be angry on behalf of Apollo too!

She already as a character is established to try and hide her true feelings under a facade of cheeriness. I think that should be explored more in this situation, where she feels like she cannot show how angry and upset she actually is.

Meanwhile, we've seen how Apollo reacted when Dhurke came back into his life. He was pushing him away, straight up trying to suppress his feelings and refusing to have proper emotions about it until he literally almost drowns. He hates talking about or thinking about his life and himself. I know he has shown to often get angry, but I personally think that in a reveal, depending on how it goes, he will refuse to think about it, try to ignore the conflicted feelings bubbling up (canonically, he had never even thought about his bio dad until he was given the photo of Jove, so I imagine he feels the same way about his mother up until she is given a face in his mind).

Both Trucy and Apollo are both more concerned about how the other feels than about themselves. And what this means to their family.

imo if Phoenix and edgeworth started dating and didn’t announce it i don’t think anyone would realise 1. bc they’ve always Been Like That and 2. edgeworth is far too autistic to break the social norms he’s created and engage in ANY PDA around any mutual friends

the biggest difference between the aa trilogy and aa4 to me is how in the first three games the culprit can be shaking and wailing and scratching the witness stand like a rabid cat and no one bats an eye bc the only thing that matters is evidence and their testimony, but in aa4 apollo can go "um actually you have a nervous habit of breathing only through your right nostril when you're lying sooo" and the poor guy is like "FINE!! FINE YOU GOT ME I DID IT!! TAKE ME AWAY"

Aa4 is special in so many ways but what really stuck to me was that it's mainly a game about young adults navigating their respective careers and i specifically adore that
