Ray is so funny like as a concept. like here is a character who’s vastly important to the narrative but we don’t really know what to do with him or how to fit him in to any of the huge, very important pre-established plot in a way that makes sense if you go any deeper than surface level. anyway he’s gonna call you a bitch when you first meet him.

Sketches for my AU; Someone asked me what Mia was doing in here and my thoughts became a (good type of) mess trying to connect and make some things work (I originally just wanted this AU to be simply two dudes arguing about worldbuilding and kissing lol)

Mia and Trucy. Mia is the one who gets disbarred in this AU, and asks Phoenix (asks is a strong word. Phoenix selfessly offers himself up pushing her to accept) to take care of Trucy as she doesn't want to drag her into the mess that is the Fey clan and Kurain Village

Mia becomes the Master of the Kurain Spirit Channeling Technique while disbarred. Her disbarment drives Maya into becoming a lawyer herself

Maya ends up as an intern at Edgeworth and Co. Law Offices! She passes the bar at 23

Klavier Gavin. If there were a Maya Fey trilogy, I would imagine him to be her first rival in the supposed AA1. He would be around 21 I think. He's mid-transition from the teenager rookie to the kind prosecutor we see in the AJ trilogy

Eustace Winner! In this AU no one is there to convict his father so there are inspirations of Excelsius in his outfit besides Verity Gavelle's. Maya's second rival, in the supposed AA2

Maya's third rival, Franziska von Karma, in the supposed AA3. Much more influence from Manfred as there's no Miles for Manfred to project onto. By this point I feel like Manfred would be retired, so Franziska continues von Karma's way of perfection and feels responsible for his perfect record

there is something VERY funny to me about the idea that Ray was only planning to work full-time with Gregory for a year before going to law school but then got caught up in the IS-7 gang and DL-6 happened and he sort of looks around at the mess around him, realising that, at nineteen fucking years old, he is the person most likely to be able to sort this out, so he takes his good but not great high school grades, locks the fuck in and rawdogs the bar exam and becomes, probably, at that time, one of the youngest people to ever pass it. I love him.
